Portals to Hell (2019) s02e07 Episode Script

The Croke-Patterson Mansion

1
Did you die in this house?
Who are you?
that thing is going off.
Is this place a portal to hell?
that's bones.
serious?
He believes
that you're demonic
So this should
really piss you off.
so we're in denver, colorado,
and we are going to be
investigating the king
of haunted houses,
the croke-patterson mansion.
Yeah.
This place has
a really long history
of very strange and kind of
dark occurrences
connected to the families
that own this property.
Yeah, it kind of seems like
every family that's
lived there has had
some crazy misfortune
to the point where,
I mean, everybody is dying,
they're losing all their money.
And a lot of people
attribute this
to either weird energy
in the house
or even a haunting.
So, you know,
what's with this place?
Is there a portal?
Is it just plain haunted?
What's the deal?
So I guess more to be revealed.
Let's do it.
so croke-patterson.
This dislocation has never been
investigated for tv.
Yeah.
I want to know
who gave it the name
"the king of haunted houses"
and what transpired for
them to designate it that title.
We go into a lot
of these places,
and people are like,
"this person died,
that person died,
then this happened."
and when you start
digging into it,
there's no basis for it at all.
What's interesting
about this property
is a lot of these "rumors"
are actually backed up
with fact and news articles
and people who actually
did live and die here.
Yeah.
So going through
the property records gives us
a really good timeline.
The croke family
built it in 1890.
And within six months
of having it built,
the market crashed.
Three years later, in 1893,
a patterson family moves in.
So that's why we have
the name croke-patterson.
A year later,
their daughter died.
After that, the wife
becomes ill, and she dies.
And then patterson
has a heart attack
and dies in the house.
Wow.
After that,
we do see a family there,
a dr. Sudan and his family.
They take over, and then the
wife commits suicide in 1950.
Just seems like every
family that moves in
gets cursed by this place
or by something.
That's the thing, too,
because we are talking about
a time period,
late 1800s, early 1900s,
spiritualism was huge.
Yeah.
And seances were done for fun.
They were like the thing to do
on a Saturday night.
Yeah.
And then that brings up
the question,
did they bring something in
or stir something up?
Does that have anything to do
with the energy on the property,
the building?
Did somebody open up a portal?
Or is it just strange string of
weird occurrences that happened?
Yeah.
Ooh.
What the
This is it?
Wow.
What the
wow.
wow.
should we disembark
and go meet chris?
Let's go meet chris.
So we're gonna meet
with the owner, chris,
and do a bit of a baseline
walk through.
This place does seem like
it has some kind of
curse associated with it.
It's like the world's
worst luck ever.
I mean, like, what family
has lived here
and owned this place
and been like --
come out the other side better?
- Hi.
- Hi.
Welcome to the patterson inn.
Thank you.
You're chris?
I'm chris.
Nice to meet you.
I'm katrina.
Hi.
Hey. How's it going?
Hi. Nice to meet you.
I'm jack.
Let me help you with your bags.
Oh, yeah. Thank you.
So this is a stunning building.
Thank you.
I have to say, it's gorgeous.
How did you come about owning?
Nine years ago,
I flew out to denver
to look at this
abandoned building.
I stood right here, and I looked
at the house, and I said,
"I want to turn you
into a bed and breakfast."
and my first paranormal
experience was a ghost
up there in this tower.
And she said, like
she was standing next to me,
"get off the grass."
Were you stood on the grass?
Yeah, the path wasn't here yet.
It was still like a little hill.
And I looked down.
My foot was on the grass.
But that was
my very first experience.
How many paranormal experiences
have you had in this place?
Personally, I've had two.
Okay.
So the house either
picks you or it runs you.
And so far, so good.
- Okay.
- Interesting.
Well, let's go on the tour.
this room is original.
We'll talk about it more
when we go upstairs.
I'll show you
some of the paintings,
then some of the stories.
Do people say they
see something on the stairs?
I've heard that before.
When we first walked in,
I got drawn to the stairs.
When I looked at the landing,
I kind of saw something like
a figure that looked distorted.
A few months ago, I had
a friend and his girlfriend
stay here at the hotel,
and they went up
the stairs that night.
And when they were at breakfast
the next morning,
I asked them how did they sleep,
was everything okay?
And they both looked
at each other,
and he goes,
"well, I'm pretty sure
somebody followed us up
the stairs last night."
mm.
And they were the only ones
in the house.
And she looked at him,
and she goes,
"I thought that, too."
they didn't want
to talk about it
until the next morning.
Oh.
I'm not surprised that people
feel like somebody is there.
What my experience was,
I don't know.
I can't really say, but it
definitely got my attention.
I don't know who it is.
And I'm hoping you find out.
This mirror has been here
since the beginning.
What I love about it is that
it's had a view of everyone
who's passed through this house
for 127 years.
Hm.
This is just the gateway
to this extraordinary house
and its legacy and its history.
Has anybody ever said
that they see anything
come out of it?
I have not heard that.
I had
hm?
I haven't heard that
in the two years I've been here.
- Yeah.
- Other than this just
awkward feeling when people
stand in front of it.
- Yeah.
- So we're gonna start here.
This is da vinci.
it keeps popping off.
I don't know
what the deal is, but
this is a fairly active room.
One particular guest
told me a story.
She wore her headphones
because her husband snored.
and she said that she was
very conscious of a person
trying to whisper in her ear.
And because she was
wearing the headphones,
she actually said
they were blowing in her ear,
like someone's trying
to get your attention.
Hm. Interesting.
There's a great picture
here on the fireplace
that shows the patterson family,
their first christmas
here in the house
Wow.
In 1893.
Oh, that's them there.
You'll see the curtain.
That's how you know
which room we're in.
This is as it was, three,
when the pattersons lived here.
Wow.
- okay.
- Was that the emf?
Yeah, it's the mel on it.
the mel meter was acting up.
It definitely was anomalous,
and there were a couple
spaces that, when it was in,
it was just getting
triggered a lot.
I think we are inadvertently
digging into these deaths.
Are they actually the spirits
of the residents of this place?
Is it something
we don't know about?
Was there something sinister
going on here?
I don't know.
so I have a personal experience
in this room.
Okay.
It was a little over
Sitting down here,
I had a bartender
working that day,
and I told him my long term plan
for the house,
and there was a flash of light.
And both the bartender
and I jump out of the chairs.
We go looking for the light.
It was a ball.
Bright orb right here.
Inside the doorway.
The door was open.
And we looked everywhere.
We looked in the hallway.
I was actually
sitting right here,
so I saw the light
right there in that mirror.
So you saw it,
the reflection on it. Wow.
So I saw it through the
mirror, and the bartender was
looking right at it.
That's interesting. Hm.
How long ago was this, chris?
It was October of 2018.
Alright.
Where do we go from here?
Let's go.
We're gonna go upstairs.
hm. That's weird.
this is the staircase,
of course, where I told you
my friend recently
felt like someone
walked up behind them.
Yeah.
And so you'll be here overnight.
See what your experience is.
Yeah. I'm not surprised
about that.
You can feel it
when you go up the steps.
Anything, though,
historically that we know
about the second floor
as far as deaths?
Yes, there was.
Mrs. Patterson passes away
likely in this room.
She died in this house in 1904.
When their daughters
died here in the house,
I do believe that
she is still in her home.
Senator patterson,
this was his bedroom,
and likely passed in that room.
Of a heart attack, right?
Right.
Want to go upstairs?
Yeah.
You ready for this?
Yeah, I'm ready.
You know, it's kind of hard
on a paranormal level
because, you know,
this is an old property,
a lot of different people
have lived through these walls.
So I think there's a lot of
different history to go through.
Come on.
It's a long little hallway.
Can we confirm
some of these things?
And does it have anything
to do with the haunting?
this is the window
that I was yelled at from.
Okay.
There's a story
that workers were renovating
the house to turn it,
I believe, into apartments,
and they kept complaining
that tools were going missing.
So the owner put two
dobermans in the house
to try to thwart
whatever was going on.
They figured it was
squatters or vagrants.
The very next morning,
the two dogs are found
supposedly dead from fright,
laying side by side,
paw to paw on the steps
of that staircase
right outside this window.
The rumor is, the way it's
told as denver folklore,
is that the spirits of the house
scared the dogs to death
and then removed them
from the house
through this window.
I feel sick in here.
Can we, um
I feel nauseous.
I feel sick in here.
Is there anything else?
I do.
I feel sick in here.
After you.
Okay.
Do other people say that?
Again, general sense
of unease
Yeah.
Is common.
I feel nauseous.
When we were in the tower room,
I started to get very nauseous.
I don't know if that
was paranormal
or if it's something to do
with the structure.
Right now, I can't make
any claims on what it was,
but I think it's just something
for us to really pay attention
to as we move through
our investigation.
I want to take you to
one of my favorite rooms now.
so welcome.
This is prague.
When I brought my new gm on,
he stayed in this room
for two weeks, and every day,
he said he felt like someone
was watching him or staring.
This is an active room,
equal to da vinci,
which is the other most
talked about active room.
Do you think there's
anything negative here?
It has that history.
Mm-hmm.
I'd like a little more clarity.
I've had my own experiences.
I've heard
the guests' experiences.
I'm really curious
to see what you have.
Chris knows
he's had experiences.
He knows other people
have had them.
But he wants to know,
is what I'm thinking
about these experiences correct?
And if we can get any evidence
to back up those claims,
then it might give him
some more clarification.
So it's day two here at
croke-patterson.
We're meeting
with jordan and ann.
Ann?
Yes.
Hi. Katrina.
And jordan?
- Jordan.
- Hey, nice to meet you.
They wrote a book
about the haunted history
of the croke-patterson house.
And we're going to
kind of pick their brains
and find out
about their experience,
the things they uncovered
with the research.
I hope to get some insight
from people who've spent
a huge amount of time
investigating this location.
So you guys researched this,
the book comes out,
and you also did
a paranormal investigation.
What were some of the biggest
"a-ha" moments you guys had
when you were looking into this?
Well, the first series
of things that happened,
a fabulous psychic met me here.
She walked in,
immediately saw a woman
on the stairs right here
on the landing.
And she came right here
and stopped and turned around
and looked at the mirror
and then looked up.
Said there was a vortex,
and she said,
"this is where it all starts.
This is the heart
of the house."
and then the woman on the stairs
led us up into the bathroom
on the second floor,
and she took two steps
in the bathroom
and just doubled over.
And she said, "this is death,
and this is suicide.
This is death."
I started to feel like
I couldn't breathe.
I look at her, and she said,
"don't panic.
Just take deep breaths.
There's a woman that died here.
She committed suicide.
And it was some sort of gas.
And you're feeling
the effects of that.
It will pass."
Did you guys ever
come across any evidence,
any documentation?
jordan did.
A gentleman named
archer sudan owned the house.
And we found a death certificate
for his first wife.
Tulleen sudan
killed herself in the house.
Interesting.
And it says
cyanogas, she killed herself.
So essentially
water and rat poison.
So dr. Sudan
did a lot of travelling.
She was a nurse
but didn't practice.
Is it your belief that there is
something negative here?
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
What is the negative thing?
The negative energy for me
is probably here
at the base of the stairs.
It's all kind of
contained here, I feel.
But I don't know what it is.
Like, I couldn't tell you if
it's, like, a person or thing.
Whoa. What was that?
Did you just see something?
I thought out of my periphery,
I saw, like,
it just looked like
someone with their arm
on the rail just looking down.
Someone was watching us.
Whoa. What was that?
Did you just see something?
I thought out of my periphery,
I saw, like, it just looked
like someone with
their arm on the on the rail
just looking down.
Someone was watching us.
It's interesting because
it's when we were
talking about the negative thing
and you were saying
whatever it is is
in this area.
- It's right here.
- Yeah.
It's always right here.
And that's -- people
have experienced
what jack has
experienced before.
Oh, yeah, people think that --
I mean, they always say,
"who's upstairs?
Who's looking down?
- Okay.
- Alright.
- have fun.
- Yeah.
- Will do.
- Thank you.
I'm really pleased with meeting
with jordan and ann
and talking with them.
It was really,
really interesting.
Number one, they seemed
completely credible to me.
They seemed like their
biggest mission was to tell
the story of this house and not
just exploit rumors or legend.
They really wanted
to get to the bottom
of why people are having
these experiences here.
jack and I are gonna set up
for the night investigation.
And jack has a great idea of
kind of feeling out the space,
see what we get,
and then we're going to
call in our friend cindy kaza.
She is a psychic medium.
Yeah, where does --
where can this go?
The hope with bringing in cindy
is that if we have
some questions,
cindy can help us
fill in those holes.
Great.
Alright, so the light panels
are all set.
Okay.
Kill the lights.
okay, so camera one,
we have the heart of the house,
the kind of entryway.
Camera 2, we have
the second floor
stairway landing,
like where I thought I saw
someone looking over at me.
Three is in the tower,
like the turret,
where the dogs allegedly
threw themselves out the window.
Camera five is
the third floor hallway.
Room six is the basement.
This used to be
the smoking room of
senator patterson.
So our mission is to figure out
who it is that's here,
if we know who they are.
Is there a history of them
being here?
Is there a portal here
bringing spirits in?
You know, a lot of people say
there's a vortex or a portal
in the heart of the building.
That could be one.
- hey, katrina.
- Hey.
- How you doing?
- What's going on?
I thought a good
strategy would be
maybe do like a big call out
being like,
"hey, we're here.
We're just documenting.
We're not trying to,
you know, get rid of you.
This is your home."
and, yeah, we'll kind of
go from there.
I like to do this.
Let's do this.
Grab that gear.
So there's a couple
hot spots here in house.
Jack's gonna start
in the da vinci room,
I'm going to start
in the prague room,
and see what kind of results
we get from that.
There are people that claim
a very strong male presence
in the prague room,
and they feel watched.
I'm gonna leave this right here.
all right, if anyone's in this
room, any spirits,
any entities, make the light
change on this device.
Just get close to it,
and you see if you touch it
It'll change, so do that.
So I'll probably just start off
with a voice session here.
See if anything talks through.
Maybe it can give me some
answers as to the questions
surrounding this room
or at least lead me
to where I need to go.
So I'm gonna talk to whoever
is in this room, specifically.
Chris, who owns
the building now,
he'd really like
to know who you are.
Can you tell me who the man
is in this room?
This is a communication device.
You talk to me through this.
That's a temperature change.
That's very odd.
all right, the rem pod
just began to get triggered
from temperature.
It is a drafty house,
but I'm just --
I'm not feeling like a draft
come through here.
I shut the curtain, and I reset
the temperature gauge.
So if it still plummets,
something to watch out for.
Whose bedroom am I in?
Is it mr. Patterson?
is it patterson
that comes to this room?
Mr. Patterson?
Yes.
Okay.
Senator patterson,
why do you come to this room?
Do you like to be
on the third floor?
how are you still with us?
I'm talking to maybe patterson?
seems like very random things
coming through right now.
Okay, so you've seen
the temperature shift.
Can you do it when I ask you to?
I'm going to ask you a question,
and make that beep
like you've been doing.
Did you die in this house?
Are you a male?
Are you female?
that thing's going off.
did you used to live here?
I don't know what to make of it,
but it did seem like
there was some intelligent
kind of responses
coming through.
I'd ask a question,
and then it would seem
like now.
Who are you?
Was that tulleen?
Katherine?
Yeah, I think maybe I want
to go out into the hallway,
bring the rem pod there,
and we'll see what we
pick up in the hallway.
all right, heart of the house.
got my rem pod sat right here.
make that rem pod light up.
We're in the heart of the house.
Everyone said this is
where it all happens.
the thought is when
you relax your gaze
and you kind of just like
sink into your focus,
people believe that entities
or messages or visions
can come through to you.
So this is scrying.
Basically, you just look
at yourself in the mirror
or you look at a fixed object
in the reflection of the mirror,
and you just relax your gaze.
you just hear that?
is that someone walking
in the basement?
Did you just hear that?
is that someone
walking in the basement?
Did you just hear that?
Katrina, I'm hearing
positive footsteps
in the basement right now.
You're hearing footsteps
in the basement?
Yeah. I mean, that was
clear as day.
All right.
I'm coming to you.
That was loud and scary.
clear as day.
I just heard
did it sound like
on the staircase?
It sounded like
it was in the parlor.
do we want to go down
to the basement?
I think we should go
to the basement.
You're hearing footsteps?
Let's do it.
You know,
hearing those footsteps
get me fired up a little bit.
I don't know what to make of it,
but it's creepy here.
It feels weird down here.
Yeah.
Ooh, yeah.
Ooh, ooh, yeah.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah, it's a little tingly.
Huh?
Yeah. Just a bit.
Is patterson and here?
Senator patterson?
Oh, I just got the chills,
big time, big time.
Oh, I do not like it down here.
No?
No.
Who was walking
around down here?
Could you walk around
for us some more,
make some more footsteps
that we can hear?
I thought I heard "sudan"
come through, by the way.
Yeah, I heard that.
It's really clear.
Tulleen?
Tulleen, are you
down here with us?
Nurse.
Tulleen sudan, she was a nurse.
Yeah, that would
have been tulleen.
Yeah.
who's down here
with us right now?
Can you bang on something?
Knock a wall?
tulleen?
"yes, ma'am."
where do we go to
talk to you better?
"this house."
do you mean anywhere
in the house?
I heard
"the bathroom."
the bathroom?
Yeah, the bathroom.
Which bathroom?
I wonder if they're
talking about
the royale bathroom.
If we keep getting
things connected to tulleen.
And that's where that one
psychic really felt that
that suicide happened.
She took two steps in the
bathroom and just doubled over.
And she said,
"there's a woman that died here.
She committed suicide.
And it was some sort of gas.
And you're feeling
the effects of that.
It will pass."
maybe we should check that out.
You know, either confirm it
or rule it out.
Yeah.
'cause something's
weird happening.
They're claiming that's
where she killed herself.
There's proof she did die
here from suicide.
Since we've started
ghost box sessions,
we keep having things
that seem to be connected
to tulleen come through.
I mean, if we're taking
a look collectively
at everything we've had so far,
it would make sense.
So it's either her
or somebody talking about her.
it's cold in here.
Yeah.
is tulleen sudan here?
Is anyone here with us
right now?
poison?
Whoa, I heard that.
Is anyone here
with us right now?
poison?
Whoa, I heard that.
Can you tell us why?
What do you want us to know?
"she died here."
yeah, I heard that.
- That's what it just said?
- Yeah. "she died here."
I heard that.
Archer sudan owned
the house, and his first wife,
tulleen sudan,
killed herself in the house.
And it says cyanogas.
She killed herself.
What drove her to kill herself?
Is there a dark energy here?
it's weird. It seemed like
it died down here.
Yeah.
Feels different.
Yeah.
I mean, whatever is coming
through on the geo port,
we're getting really
intelligent responses,
so I'm hoping to maybe get
some clarity to what's going on.
Do you want me to run down
and get cindy?
Okay, yeah, that sounds good.
so right now, our friend
and psychic medium,
cindy kaza, has arrived.
You ready to roll?
Yep.
All right.
We're going to see
if she can validate
our experiences
that we've had so far.
We still have some holes.
We still have some questions.
And I feel like she's kind of,
I'm looking at her right now
as our glue
to put our puzzle together.
We just want to set you loose.
Ooh, alright.
And just
Let you kind of
take the lead almost.
I want to go upstairs.
Okay.
Yeah.
there's just
a lot in this house.
The house itself
feels possessed,
for lack of a better term.
There's definitely
a portal here.
That's for damn sure.
Do you know where it is?
It feels like the whole house
is a portal.
Where do you want
to go from here?
Um
I want to go --
I'm gonna just leave.
I'm just gonna go this way.
okay, um
Uh
Has anybody seen a woman
that walks across this hallway?
Because she's here.
Do people say they see
something on the stairs?
I've heard that before.
Out of my periphery,
I saw, like,
it just looked like someone
with their arm on the rail
just looking down.
Someone was watching us.
She likes to sit on the couch
and just walk back and forth.
I can just feel her here.
She's just very connected
to this space.
Okay.
the man -- there's a man
who died of a heart attack
in this house
because as I walk in here,
I see the man dropping dead
of a massive heart attack,
just falling to the floor.
Bam.
Senator patterson
likely passed in that room.
Of a heart attack, right?
Right.
He died so fast that I feel like
he didn't even realize
that he died.
So he's kind of wandering
around, like, not really sure
how he got to the other side
because it was so fast.
And he hangs out in this house.
He's very active in his house.
And is he a good spirit?
He's fine.
Like, he's not a problem.
He's actually quite charming.
Alright.
what is this?
A watchtower?
Can I ask you
a very specific question
Yes.
In this room?
There are rumors that these dogs
jumped out of this tower room
to commit suicide.
Are you picking up
anything relating to why
or what caused that?
You know,
I honestly have to tell you,
I don't think that
that was paranormal.
So you feel like it was,
like, a human person?
Yeah, I feel like it has
to do with a human
or something scared them.
And that's what it was.
I don't think
it's a ghost or an entity
that did that.
Okay.
Was there a woman
who isolated herself
for months on end?
Can you hone in
a little bit more?
The man who had
the heart attack,
that's her husband.
So his wife, katherine.
That's who it is.
She's here.
She's the lady of the house.
Okay.
The lady of the house.
She's got unfinished
business with some things
that happened in her life
when she lived in this house.
So that's why she's here?
That's why I feel she's here.
Has anybody seen her
staring out the window?
Yeah.
My first paranormal
experience was a ghost
up there in this tower.
People can see her
staring at the window.
But it's not that
she's trapped in that space.
- Okay.
- She just comes for
a looksy-loo.
- Yeah.
Because she wants people
to acknowledge her presence
because he didn't do that
as much as you should have.
Mm.
Right.
All right.
Let's go to the cellar.
I don't like it down here.
So we have some
very specific questions for you.
You've touched on some tragedy,
some sadness in the space.
There is documentation of
a woman committing suicide
in 1950.
I feel like
that's the woman upstairs.
This is the staircase,
of course.
Felt like someone
walked up behind them.
Yeah, I'm not
surprised about that.
You can feel it
when you go up the steps.
She likes to walk
back and forth.
Are you sure she killed herself?
Because I really
don't feel suicide.
Are you sure she killed herself?
Because I really don't
feel suicide.
Can I give you a name?
100%.
Sure.
See if it taps in?
Tulleen.
Tulleen?
Cindy was using a technique
called automatic writing.
It's almost like just verbalize
what you are hearing.
It's you just write it,
and, you know,
she kind of says she has
no control over her hand
and just whatever
comes out comes out.
Okay, that's interesting.
So here's the thing.
I just heard,
"I did do it, but he helped me."
so there's somebody
who helped her do it.
There's got to be somebody
who either got her
something to do it
or knew she was going to do it.
Can you ask her who?
"he got the -- " well,
I'm writing "medicine."
that's what I'm hearing --
"medicine."
but it obviously
wasn't medicine.
So there's a man who worked here
who helped her do it.
So she did do it,
but she had help.
Okay.
Her husband was a doctor, yeah.
And she was a nurse.
No
he had a part in her death.
There's more to the story.
Would the owners of the house
be targeted in a way
of having bad luck or tragedy?
A lot of times it becomes
a psychological thing
where people believe that
they're living in a curse place
or a possessed place,
and then that's creating
all of the bad luck
that happens in their lives.
But I do feel there's something
in the walls of this house
that could potentially create
some negative circumstances
for the people that live here.
I feel this place
has always been a portal.
You definitely helped us
fill some holes in.
Yeah. Good.
I think cindy's reading
validates a lot of the history
that we know, but also
more clarity of what
spirits are believed to be here.
And I think we have a lot
to take to chris.
how was your evening?
My evening was good.
How was your evening?
Eventful.
Lots of things happened.
Have you guys ever heard walking
in the basement
or around the basement
when you've been up here?
Well, upstairs
hearing downstairs,
I have no experience there.
I'm gonna play you something.
I was right here
in front of the mirror.
did you hear it?
I did.
Is that explainable?
Uh, no.
But I've heard that
the basement's really active.
Yeah.
But actually hearing footsteps.
Yeah, it sound like someone
with like fancy shoes
Just walking.
We met with ann and jordan.
Have you met with them before?
I have not.
You have not? Okay.
Okay, so they did
a hell of a lot
of research on this place.
They actually wrote
a book about it.
They were able to confirm
one suicide in the house
that would have been
in the upstairs bathroom
on the second floor
in a royale room.
Tulleen sudan.
Okay.
So they had a copy
of her death certificate.
We do know
she committed suicide.
She was 48 when she did it.
She did it by mixing
a couple chemicals together
and inhaling the gas.
One of the pieces
of equipment we used,
they're called ghost boxes
or voice boxes.
Surprisingly, we kept
getting those name sudan
come through.
I thought I heard "sudan"
come through, by the way.
Yeah, I heard it.
Yeah, I heard that.
It was really clear.
We did bring in cindy kaza,
who's a psychic medium,
and she was hitting on things
that were fascinating.
I don't feel she killed herself
or something else that --
it was reported incorrectly
or things were covered up.
She kept saying,
"there's more to the story,
this woman did not
commit suicide."
and we were like, "well,
what do you mean by that?"
and she's like,
"she keeps talking about
the medicine,
the medicine."
somebody gave her the medicine.
And then she either
knowingly took it
to commit suicide or she did not
know what she was doing.
But she very much felt
that there was
more to that story,
and that's part of the reason
why you would experience
tulleen here in this house.
And she feels like
that's the woman
that people would see
on the stairs.
Okay, that person likely
walking up behind people.
Mm-hmm. She very much
feels like her.
She likes to walk
back and forth.
The other thing --
she does not believe
the dog incident
was paranormal at all.
No, she just believes
that they were, like,
scared out of here by someone
who was, like, chasing them
and scaring them.
You know, I honestly
have to tell you,
I don't think that
that was paranormal.
Yeah. So you feel like
it was like a human person?
Yeah, I feel like
it has to do with a human
or something scared them.
She said the interesting
thing about this place
is that it is kind of like
a beacon or a portal
or whatever you want to call it,
that spirits from all over
are drawn to it.
It's almost like, you know,
the moth to the flame.
They're drawn in, and they
don't necessarily know why.
So it's just pulling and pulling
and pulling and pulling.
I was hoping for
katherine or thomas.
Well, so actually I did
get thomas to come through
when I was in the prague room.
When cindy started
to dive in on that,
she also felt like
both of them were here.
She immediately picked up
on katherine,
who she very strongly
believes is here.
And she believes that's who
you saw on your first day here.
Okay.
And that katherine is
kind of the woman of the house.
You know?
I believe that myself, so
We asked about the bad luck.
Because it does
seem like there's
a chain of bad luck here.
She thought it was
more psychological on,
you know, the owners' part.
So meaning you
come into this house
that's already charged,
maybe you have some bad luck.
Maybe that gets into your head.
The next owner comes, already
has that in their head.
And, you know, then
it's cyclical like that.
So where you have
this paranormal activity,
but then you'll also have
the psychological element,
and they're kind of
feeding into each other.
But I'm happy to hear that
the pattersons are still here.
This is their house,
and it gives me
a great privilege to know
that I'm the caretaker
today for this legacy that's
120-plus years.
And I hope it's still here
for 120 more.
I hope they have the thrill
of walking these halls
for as long as possible.
I think that's great.
Sounds like you were just
the right owner to come in.
Yeah.
I believe this hotel
is haunted by numerous spirits.
Some of them made themselves
known to us
through our investigation
last night.
I think that there is a lot
of evidence to back that up.
This is a straight up
haunted hotel.
Croke-patterson?
Definitely haunted.
I would absolutely say that.
You know, something that
was coming up the whole time
seemed to be portals.
It did.
By all accounts,
a lot of people believe that
this place has one.
We've had so many
experiences that line up
with other people's experiences.
So what's to say
a portal isn't true?
Absolutely.
Well, there you have it.
Croke-patterson.
I think this place is a portal.
We don't throw that title
around very often,
but I think there
could be something here.
