the best of the West.
Let's get ready to roll, Titan Arena,
'cause here we go.
Air Force captain, Noah Palicia.
[Alex] 3-0 on Mount Olympus.
Who can stop Noah Palicia?
Yes, yes!
[Dwayne] And winemaker, Margaux Alvarez.
[Alex] Still your reigning Titan,
it is Margaux Alvarez!
[Dwayne] Stand atop Mount Olympus.
I'm going to be the Titan of the West.
It's my mountain.
But Super Bowl champion, Victor Cruz
and Ninja Warrior superstar,
Jessie Graff,
along with four of our most
determined athletes,
they're all looking for one final chance
at Titan glory.
[Cari] Oh!
[Alex] I cannot believe it!
Let's go!
[Dwayne] One last opportunity
for redemption.
[crowd groans]
Oh, my God!
[Dwayne] One final shot
at becoming a Titan.
[Cari groans]
[Dwayne] Tonight, we crown
our champions from the West.
So who's gonna punch their ticket
to the Titan Championship?
[exhales]
You guys ready to find out?
[cheering loudly]
Let The Titan Games begin!
[Cari] Hello, everyone, I'm Cari Champion
alongside Alex "Goldenboy" Mendez.
And this is our regional finals,
so you know we have to go
bigger and better with our challenges.
Oh, you better believe it.
And in this one,
six of the strongest competitors
from the West are back.
Those men and women
will start by squaring off
in an intense three-way battle.
That's right.
If you come in third, you're heading home.
But, first and second place move on
to one more, head-to-head challenge.
That winner gets another shot
on Mount Olympus.
So let's meet the three men
fighting for a second chance tonight.
[Alex] It is wild that Mount Olympus
has defeated a Super Bowl champion.
I do not like losing.
Losing is not something that I do often.
[Alex] A new Titan!
It doesn't leave a good taste in my mouth.
What an upset.
[Victor] Went up against Noah Palicia,
And when that race got started, man,
he was shot out of a cannon.
[Alex] The Air Force captain
is just not slowing down.
[Victor] Mount Olympus
was extremely tough.
It really challenges you physically.
He just destroyed up there,
but he's still fighting.
I'm excited to go out there
and redeem myself.
From being a small kid
in Patterson, New Jersey,
I earned my way up.
I earned my spot on the football team,
and then becoming a professional athlete,
winning the Super Bowl
in my second season,
and breaking records as a Giant.
It taught me to never give up, never quit.
Being a Titan is a huge responsibility
that Dwayne has given me.
So, I wanna give that back
and I'm ready for the challenge.
[Alex] Exodus Rogers
is going to Mount Olympus!
[Exodus] I fought with everything
I had on Mount Olympus.
I was just throwing myself over the walls,
feel my legs turning into jelly.
Boy, he took a nasty spill.
I was running on fumes.
Noah, he was just
He was just able to dig
a little deeper and win.
Yes!
But I came to The Titan Games
to give the kids that I work with hope.
Keep going. Keep going.
I work for Sacramento County Probation
in the juvenile hall detention center.
Hard work. Push it out, hard work.
Some of them come from backgrounds
where they don't have their parents.
Some of them come from backgrounds,
where they're born into a gang.
They've had hard lives,
and they don't have a lot of role models.
So I wanna do well here.
That stirred my fire up, taking that loss.
I'm so determined to get back
to Mount Olympus.
I see it in my dreams.
[Alex] Look at the power of the acrobat,
Wayne Skivington.
The Titan Games, it tested everything.
You know, my agility, my strength.
[Alex] This is incredible!
[Wayne] When you're a gymnast,
you're training four hours day,
five days a week.
It's one of the hardest sports out there.
But, Mount Olympus is no joke.
Noah had the experience
on me in that race.
I was just past exhaustion.
I gave it a 110%.
I just had nothing left in them legs.
[Alex] It came down to the final moment!
[Wayne] There's a second chance.
Everything is on the line.
I wanna go back out there
and prove that I can do this for my son.
Hey, buddy.
-Hi.
-Hey.
-I love you. Give me a kiss?
-Love you.
He's my world.
My boy is part of me.
He's, like, my heart.
I wanna win The Titan Games
to show my son that, you know,
the hard work pays off.
You don't give up.
It's gonna be a great lesson
for him to see.
I wanna win this for Rowan.
[Alex] And, here they come.
All three competitors
are battling for a rematch
with the Titan who dominated the West.
Air Force pilot, Noah Palicia.
But first, they have to
get past Hammer Down.
It's a race to reach the victory chain,
but you have to build
your own tower to the top.
First, you'll need a sledgehammer
trapped under three massive boxes.
Then you slam in the pins,
bring down the poles,
and climb up to the victory chain.
First and second place
are headed to round two.
Third place is headed home.
[Cari] All right, so it's that time.
Considering what happened
to Victor Cruz on Mount Olympus,
DJ, do you think he'll have
any extra pressure now?
I think, Victor Cruz has a lot
of pressure on him, right?
Because he's a world-class athlete,
incredibly accomplished,
Super Bowl champion,
and he's got a lot of pride
in his performance.
So between Wayne, Exodus, and Victor Cruz,
it all comes down to pressure and guts.
All three of them have guts.
Oh, yeah. It's gonna be awesome.
We have three guys
fighting for just two spots.
This is Hammer Down.
[Alex] Here we go!
You got Wayne in the green,
Victor Cruz in the red,
and Exodus Rogers in the blue.
You simply just need to hack away
at these pillars,
so you can knock 'em down,
climb up, and grab the victory chain.
Let's go, Dad!
And Exodus Rogers
takes the first one down.
Go, babe! Go!
Victor and Wayne working hard
on their first pole.
And Wayne, with a big swing,
gets his to fall!
But there goes another pole for Exodus!
And he knocks down his second pole!
Exodus is smart.
He's choking up on the hammer.
[Alex] And just like that,
Victor's got his first pole down.
But Wayne now has his second pole down.
Victor Cruz needs to get moving.
That's two for Cruz!
And Exodus is first
to drop the golden pole!
Let's go, babe!
He can climb up and start to make his way
to the victory chain.
That was an ambitious jump there.
He's hanging onto the bottom,
but he's got a bear hug
and he's working his way up.
But Victor Cruz, Victor Cruz!
His golden pole is down!
Wayne has to hurry up!
[Cari] It's all about the strategy,
and how you decide to climb up
that golden pole.
Both Victor and Exodus
working their way up
from beneath the pole,
putting a lot of stress on their forearms.
[Alex] Wayne, knocks down his golden pole!
Let's go, Daddy!
All three competitors
making their way to the victory chain.
Only the top two
advance to the next round.
-[Exodus grunts loudly]
-Exodus is losing his grip.
No, no! No!
-My God!
-Exodus fell off!
I cannot believe it!
[Alex] Victor Cruz just a few feet away!
And, Victor Cruz grabbed the first one.
Victor's in.
[Alex] Oh, my goodness gracious.
It is not done.
-Go!
-Now only one spot left.
Wayne getting close!
[Cari] Continue to go, Exodus.
Continue to move, Wayne.
Who has the edge right here, Goldenboy?
[Alex] I think it's gonna be Wayne
with that background as an acrobat.
He knows how to just be able
to hold on, use his grip.
[Cari] That's a good point.
[Wayne grunts]
[Alex] No! Wayne fell off!
Oh, no, no!
-Exodus falls off again.
-Let's go!
Let's go, Ex.
[Alex] Let's see who's gonna
get up there first
and who's gonna be able
to shimmy their way up.
[Cari] And that is the name
of the game, the shimmy,
because it is so hard to do!
Let's go, Wayne!
[Alex] One moves on, one heads home.

Exodus trying to get there first,
but Wayne getting closer!
Wayne Skivington
has locked in the second spot!
Oh, my goodness!
What a battle, that was.

the inspirational story

this man has accomplished.

Cari, the thing is,
when I personally designed
-this challenge

Which means when engineers
much smarter than me
designed this challenge,
you've gotta make it hard for everybody.

It's just like the Jumanji movie.

Jack Black brings the sexy.

I bring all three. Come on, I'm The Rock.

Well, here we go, folks.
Kelly, Jessie, and Lindsey
are about to go Hammer Down.
-You're a good man.

[Alex] Kelly Valdez,
the wildland firefighter,
is your winner!
So, winning my first Mount Olympus
and becoming a Titan was a great feeling.
That was amazing!
But then losing it
on that second Mount Olympus
was a lot harder, emotionally,
than I expected it to be.
When I was in the military,
my father passed.
Losing my dad was very hard on our family,
but it brought me
and my mom and, my sisters
all closer together.
I think my dad would be
proud of me for competing
for The Titan Games because
he saw me from day one
when I was a little tomboy.
And he always knew I was tough,
even though I doubted myself a lot.
Going to the regional finals
against Jessie and Lindsey,
I'm fired up.
I'm just gonna fight as hard as I can
to try to make it back to Mount Olympus
and become a Titan again.
[Dwayne] She sets the bar, and incredible,
and repeatedly exceeds it.
Jessie Graff.
A lot of people see
what I do on Ninja Warrior
and assume that I will
do well on all obstacles.
But Mount Olympus was so hard.
[Alex] Jessie Graff,
struggling with this Log Lift.
[Jessie] I'm disappointed
that I wasn't able to win.
[Alex] She's on the ground!
I can't believe it!
[Jessie] But I recognize that
the type of strength I have
is not optimal for this competition,
and I learned from it,
and I grew, and I got so much stronger,
and I'm gonna keep getting stronger.
As a stuntwoman, my specialty is finding
the most efficient way
to get through obstacles.
So I need to be technically perfect
to make up for any weakness I have.
I'm facing my own impossible
challenges right now.
I may have lost my Titan title,
but that just gives me a chance to earn it
from the bottom up,
and that's what I really want.
[Alex] Lindsey has conquered
many mountains in her life,
but nothing can prepare you
for Mount Olympus.
The Titan Games
is a different type of climb for me.
I was underestimated,
'cause I'm going against people
who are literally
in the gym, like, twice a day.
Mount Olympus,
I thought I had it against Margaux.
It just didn't happen.
It was an upsetting loss.
I definitely take this last chance
at becoming a Titan very seriously.
I'm going against
Jessie Graff and Kelly Valdez,
two great competitors,
but I'm not really worried about it.
Everyone calls me
"The Hamminator" for a reason.
It's 'cause I get into beast mode,
and that's what I wanna do
for this next challenge.
I am going to crush
the competition for sure.
[Alex] Three remarkable athletes,
but only one will earn another shot
at our reigning Titan, Margaux Alvarez,
and a chance to become
a champion of the West.
It's now time for Hammer Down
between three fierce competitors.
We've got Jessie in the blue,
Kelly in the red,
and Lindsey in the green.
The objective, grab the sledgehammer
and then get to work on those pins
because you've got to drop those poles,
climb up, grab the victory chain.
Jessie Graff's taking big swings!
And right there,
she gets her first pole down.
Go, Jessie! Go, Jessie!
But now, Kelly Valdez
is right on her heels.
They each need to drop two more poles,
then they can climb to the victory chain.
And Jessie does it again!
I'm impressed here
by the ambidextrous play
that Jessie Graff made.
She decided swing with the right,
then I'm gonna transition
and swing with the left.
Now Lindsey, with her first pole down!
She has to make up some time here.
Remember, only the top two
advance to the next round.
Kelly has her second pole down
and she's right on Jessie's tail,
working to be the first
to knock down that golden pole
and climb up to that victory chain.
[Cari] All these women lost
at one point in the competition.
This is their opportunity
to show that they actually deserve
to be here right now.
[Alex] Jessie Graff
drops that golden pole!
She is gonna get that victory chain first
if she climbs up there
and manages to grab hold of it.
Jessie's Ninja Warrior skills on display
as she's flying up that pole.
-That's it.
-[Alex] Just a few more feet.
-There you go!
-[Cari] Oh, my God!
Jessie, has done it!
That's my girl! That's my girl!
[Alex] Jessie Graff, the real-life
Wonder Woman, doing what she does best.
But it is not over yet.
Now you're gonna have Kelly Valdez
working on the golden pole.
Lindsey's gotta catch up here.

[Alex] Kelly's got the golden pole.
She's starting her climb!
On the other side, though,
you're gonna have Lindsey Hamm
continue to work on the pin.
She needs to knock this one down.
There it goes! Lindsey's still in this!
Lindsey, she's gonna go up top.
Smart move, considering her forearms
are shot right now.
[Alex] They're definitely feeling it, DJ,
but you have to push through
to get to that victory chain.
[Cari] Kelly is almost there!
[Alex] So close!
And, Kelly Valdez
is your second winner here
on Hammer Down!
It is unfortunately good-bye
for Lindsey Hamm,
who is surely heartbroken.
The Hamminator has been
nothing but a joy to watch
in this arena.
There is no quit in Lindsey.

[Alex] And Jessie Graff is one step closer
to regaining her Titan crown.
But before she returns to Mount Olympus,
she'll have to go head-to-head
with the athlete
who knocked her off Mount Olympus
in the first night
of competition in the West,
firefighter Kelly Valdez.
The stage is set for an epic rematch.
[Victor] Wayne's a fierce competitor.
I'm going up against a guy
that isn't gonna quit,
just like I won't quit.
But I came in a Titan.
I wanna leave with that Titan title.
[Wayne] Victor Cruz is
a Super Bowl champion,
and he's a tough guy, you know?
I feel like he's got the speed, for sure,
but hopefully I can muster up some power.
I just wanna get on that
Mount Olympus again against Noah.
Hopefully, now I have the experience,
I'll be able to beat him.
[Alex] Two fierce competitors,
but only one will earn the right to face
the undefeated reigning Titan,
Noah Palicia, on Mount Olympus.
It's about to go crazy
right here on Resistance.
It's a race to get five 75-pound barrels
out of your side
by throwing them over a barrier.
But as you push forward,
you are also being jerked back,
because you're tied to your opponent.
The first to get all five barrels out,
or the most in two minutes,
is moving on to Mount Olympus.
Victor in the red. Wayne in the green.
The objective here,
get those barrels over the edge.
And Victor's the first one
to get a barrel over the wall!
He's working on his second one right now.
Wayne, though, is having a hard time
pulling Victor Cruz back,
and that is gonna be the challenge
that you deal with,
a 40-foot rope in between these two men.
[Cari] Victor told me he felt like he let
DJ down by losing on Mount Olympus.
That's his motivation to get back there.
For Wayne, it's all about his son, Rowan.
He wants to show him that
you might get knocked down,
and all that matters is getting back up.
[Alex] Victor deciding to give
the other side a shot,
but Wayne takes advantage of it!
He gets his first barrel over the barrier.
We're tied at one!
[Cari] Victor's move actually
gave Wayne some slack,
and Wayne made him pay for it.
Mistakes like that can
really cost you in this game.
[Alex] And Wayne with his second barrel.
He takes the lead!
Wayne Skivington is working
on his third right now.
Victor Cruz currently has himself
only one barrel over.
[Cari] He's exhausted.
You can tell already.
[groaning]
[Alex] But Victor Cruz,
fighting through exhaustion,
gets his second barrel over!
We're tied at two!
Oh, Wayne answers back!
[Cari] That's three for Wayne.
[Alex] And Wayne, moving quickly.
He's got his fourth barrel.
Wayne Skivington, the acrobat,
looking to end this one.
If he gets one more barrel over,
he'll earn a rematch with Noah Palicia
on Mount Olympus.

-[Cari] They're both gassed.
[Alex] Victor is trying to
hold his ground.
Does Wayne have the strength
to finish this?
[Alex and Cari exclaiming]
[Alex] Wayne Skivington gets five in!
Wow.

[Dwayne] Cirque du Soleil versus the NFL.
Cirque du Soleil, on top.
[Alex] And Wayne Skivington

the single dad from Las Vegas,
the Cirque du Soleil performer,
who's been a practicing
and training acrobatic
since he was seven years old,
is our winner.

I mean, just to go through these obstacles
and really see where I am, physically.
I train, I work out a lot.
But to put myself through
something like this,
it takes you to a whole new level.

to win the whole thing,

[Alex] Another hard-fought battle
for Wayne Skivington
as he makes his way out of Resistance.

[Wayne] I'm feeling a little bit

I hurt my ankle.
I had to go see a physio and had it taped.
But this is Mount Olympus.
This is what I came here for.
A Cirque du Soleil performer
just took out a Super Bowl champion.

I was waiting for the moment!

Kelly crushed me
at the end of Mount Olympus.
I'm ready to fight back.
I wanna earn my spot
on top of the mountain,
and I'm gonna have to fight
so hard to do it.
[Kelly] I had a small taste
of being a Titan,
and I'm definitely ready
to get back up there.
So it's really my last opportunity
to fight my way back up to Mount Olympus.
[Alex] Here we go, folks.
This is gonna be a good one.
This is Resistance.
Here we go. And
Oh, my goodness.
[Dwayne] Get up! Get up!
[Alex] Both athletes
sprinted off the start,
and when they hit the end
of their slack, bounced back.
That's what Resistance is created to do.
They'll have to navigate around
being tied to one another,
while also working to throw
their barrels over the side.
[Cari] Look at Jessie's approach.
[Alex] She's swept all the barrels
over to the side!
[Cari] With her body.
[Alex] She's gathering as many
as she can close to the wall
to toss them out one by one.
Meanwhile, Kelly is just
trying to find one in range
to get in her hands and toss out.
You know, Jessie's approach here,
it's either brilliant
or it's not gonna pay off.
[Alex] Jessie's doing a good job
at staying low
to maintain leverage over Kelly.
On the other side,
the firefighter is bouncing,
trying to break Jessie's stance.
Come on, Kelly!
[Alex] Remember, the first to get five out
or the most after two minutes, wins.
But as of right now,
neither competitor has been
able to get any out.
[Dwayne] All you got!
[Alex] Kelly cannot give Jessie
any ground whatsoever.
The moment Jessie gets slack,
she's chucking those barrels
right over, DJ.
Well, these two are
giving it all they got.
This could come down
to who chucks one barrel over.
[Alex] Kelly gets a good chuck on
a barrel, but it gets no progress.
Jessie Graff is still
continuing to work on hers.
She has four barrels
right next to each other,
but can't get close enough
to the barrier to throw any out.
Go, Jess! Go, go, go!
[Alex] Another big toss for Kelly,
but it's still not enough.
You got it! You got it!
[Cari] In the event that neither of these
ladies are able to get a barrel over,
what happens?
[Alex] If it's tied after two minutes,
we will go into sudden death.
And it is literally whoever tosses
the first barrel, that's it.
And it's over.
Go! Keep on going!
[Alex] Now, it's gonna be a war
of attrition. Twenty seconds to go!
-[Dwayne] Come on!
-Throw it, Kelly!
-Throw it!
-[Dwayne] There you go.
[Cari] Kelly's about to get one over.
[Alex] Oh, no! So close.
Jessie just tumbled through the barrels.
Ten seconds to go!
One of them just has to get one over!
[Cari] Ooh, another spill!
[Alex] Five seconds left!
Kelly's right there!
And Kelly Valdez does it
with just seconds remaining!
Yes!

Unbelievable.

My biggest role model throughout
my entire life was, my brother.

for the Titan crown.

That tattoo is a constant reminder
that my sister is always with me.
And it gives me strength,
