Dogwood-Azalea (Missouri) - Part 1
NARRATOR: Every state has it's folklore,
But sometimes, there is a darker story.
But sometimes, there is a darker story.
A tale not so much told as whispered.
MAN: Arthur Anna owned the country's largest lead mine, and lived in a big house with his only child, Lucy.
She was a lonely little girl.
Mr.
Anna knew there was lead in the dirt which made Lucy's death from lead poisoning all the more tragic.
To this day, the mansion stands as Arthur left it when he died.
Full of his things and a few of Lucy's.
Some local kids say they've heard the voice of a young girl call out in the cemetery, longing for a friend to play with.
