The Titan Games (2019) s02e10 Episode Script

East Region 3: DJ's Last Call

1
[crowd cheering]
Wow.
Look at this crowd.
Yes.
After two intense weeks in the East
Army nurse Haley Johnson
and high school teacher Will Sutton
have dominated Mount Olympus.
[Alex] Your reigning champion,
Haley Johnson!
Your Titan of Mount Olympus,
Country Strong Will Sutton!
[Dwayne] These everyday people
Transformed into unstoppable forces.
Will Sutton is about
to do it one more time.
[Haley] You better bring your A game
'cause I'm definitely not gonna give up
my Titan title without a fight.
[Dwayne] Tonight
the last four competitors in the region
will try what others
before them have failed to do.
[crowd cheering]
Wow. That's a strong woman.
[Alex] What? What?
[Cari] We've never seen
this kind of speed before.
Wow!
Dethrone these beasts from the East.
Let The Titan Games begin.
[crowd cheering]
[cameraman] Stand by.
High roll.
In three, two, one.
You get that on camera? 'Cause
I'm Courtney Roselle. I'm 31 years old.
And I'm from Jersey City, New Jersey.
I grew up with my very big, Italian,
loud family.
[laughing loudly]
I'm the baby of four brothers.
So I played every sport alive.
I was like, "All right.
I have this masculine side of me."
But I decided to go into modeling
'cause I wanted to show "my girly side."
My girly side, my feminine side.
I got called for one modeling agency.
I was so excited.
And they basically called me in
to tell me that "no little girl
wants to look like you."
They told me "You're too big
and too muscular."
And whew!
That hit hard. That hit super hard.
About three months later,
my mom was at the US Open,
sitting at a tennis match
next to the editor of Vogue's assistant.
And she was there
to book people in the fitness industry.
And my mom turned around and was like,
"This is my daughter. She's fit.
What do you think about her?"
And Vogue
was my first modeling gig.
That just made me feel proud
to be who I am.
I define femininity.
Nobody else defines it for me.
And that's exactly why
I started my own personal
training and wellness business
to help people find
their strength from within.
I also motivational speak
to high school girls.
And I focus on just loving yourself,
and that you can break through any mold.
To any girls, when they
watch me in that arena,
I just want them to look at me,
saying, like, "If she can
do it, I can do it."
My name Shantal Athill. I'm 28 years old.
And I'm a firefighter
in Orange, New Jersey.
I love being a firefighter
because I get to give back
to the community.
[siren wailing]
It's a very physical job.
So what I do in the gym is,
is very important.
I try to do things that are gonna mimic
what I'm gonna do on the fire scene.
Lot of drags, lot of pulls,
lot of carries.
You never know what you're gonna go into
when you go into a burning building.
I never thought I would be a firefighter.
But, as I grew up,
I realized it made sense.
I've done track and field all of my life.
So it was a career
where I could be physical.
It was a career that I could help people.
You know, I got to take the two things
that I wanted to do in life,
put 'em together,
and make a career out of it.
Here I am,
the second female firefighter
in the history of the town I work for.
It's amazing when
I have young girls tell me
how proud they are of me
and that they can't believe that I did it.
And in my head, I'm like,
"I can't believe I did it, you know?"
I have a major support system.
My mom is a big fan.
My father.
My girlfriend, Vaneza.
They've encouraged me the most
on, you know, my firefighter journey,
and even coming here to become a Titan.
I worked my butt off
to get to where I'm at today.
When a call comes in, you know,
I have to be ready for anything.
And that's the same game plan
I'm gonna have here
at The Titan Games.
Have fun.
-Hi.
-Hey.
-Have fun out there.
-Thank you.
I just wanted to share with you my
-My Ohana tattoo.
-Oh, wow.
It says Ohana.
You know, it means "family" in Hawaiian.
-Yes.
-It's important in the fire department.
It's important, you know,
just in my family in general.
Wow. That's beautiful.
-Thank you.
-Yes.
Fire department up in Jersey, right?
-Yes, sir.
-Where at?
-I've got a lot of guys here.
-Yeah?
[Dwayne] Great.
Well, go out there and compete.
-'Cause I know you will.
-Thank you.
-And thank you for all you do.
-Thank you.
-Thank you.
-Go have fun.
-I will. Thank you.
-Come on. Okay.
All right. Are you ready?
[crowd cheering]
[Alex] So now we have a motivational model
and a firefighter, both from New Jersey.
Hello, everybody.
I'm Alex "Goldenboy" Mendez
back on the call with none
other than Cari Champion.
Thank you very much. All right, so listen.
It is Shantal and Courtney.
-We're gonna start with them.
-[Alex] That's right, Cari.
The first to win two challenges
earns the right to take on
two-time Mount Olympus winner
and reigning Titan, Haley Johnson.
[Dwayne] Shantal, Courtney.
This one is hard to beat.
It'll work your biceps, your triceps,
even your will to live.
But I'm telling you both,
when it's all over
and you conquer this beast,
have confidence knowing
that it's only gonna get harder.
It's time for Nuts and Bolts.
[Alex] Courtney in the blue,
Shantal in the red.
Let's see who's gonna be able
to take the end caps off first.
Because this is gonna be a race
to pull that wall down.
The goal is to remove
enough weight from the posts
so you're able to pull the wall down,
and reach the victory chain.
[Dwayne] Almost there. Almost there.
Shantal! Shantal!
Courtney's stripping off
one of those 135-pound gold plates.
There you go.
You got it, you got it!
[Alex] Shantal using one of the lower
posts to climb up
to reach her upper weights.
-[Dwayne] Let's go, Courtney.
-[woman] Come on, come on!
[Alex] But on the other side,
Courtney has already stripped
all the weight
off her first post
and is starting on the second.
Shantal's struggling on her first post.
Can't seem to get that weight moving.
Let's go, Shantal.
[Alex] She's starting to fall
way behind Courtney
who's already finishing off
her top row of weights.
[Cari] Shantal and Courtney live
30 minutes from each other
in New Jersey.
Both of them out here representing
that Jersey toughness.
Come on, baby!
[Alex] On the other side,
Courtney's just been running away with it.
She's already stripped off
almost 700 pounds.
Shantal gets her first plate to fall.
Courtney continuing to work on her wall.
She has 410 pounds of weight left.
Let's go, Courtney.
And look at this.
Courtney's going for the wall.
Might be too early. Might be too early.
[Alex] She's taking a big chance here.
That's still over 350 pounds
left on that wall,
and that's more than we've
seen any competitor pull down.
Come on, Courtney!
Come on, Courtney!
Wow. She's strong.
That's a strong woman.
[Alex] She might just be able
to pull this wall down right here.
But she's gotta tip it over.
Just a little bit more.
But she is slowing down, Cari.
[Cari] She sure is.
We've seen competitors
go for that rope before,
and not be able to pull down that wall.
She might have went too early.
[Alex] It's too heavy!
Courtney's going back to the wall
to take off more weight.
-Can Shantal make her pay for it?
-Come on! Come on!
-Come on.
-There you go.
Let's go, Shantal.
[Alex] And Shantal is
finally making some progress.
But is it too little, too late?
Courtney, though,
picking up that golden weight
like it was nothing!
-Nothing, Cari.
-[Cari] That's crazy.
Come on, baby! Go, come on!
[Dwayne] That's it, Courtney.
[Alex] Courtney stripped all the weight
from the wall.
She's going back around to try again.
Shantal not giving up.
[Dwayne] Here we go, Courtney.
[Alex] And here she goes again!
Courtney pulling her wall down.
The girl from Jersey City
is gonna pull the victory chain
and is your game one winner.
[crowd cheering]
[Cari] Told she couldn't be a model,
she is a role model.
She goes to the crowd.
She couldn't have done it without them.
But I'll tell you what.
She's the hero, right?
[Alex] Indeed, she is.
Tough battle, though, for Shantal,
who will have to be better in the next one
if she wants to force a tiebreaker.
-You got another shot.
-I do.
-You got another shot.
-Absolutely.
All right? This was just a warm-up.
-Yeah.
-You got it.
As DJ just said, this is just a warm-up,
because there's still
plenty more game left to go.
Good job. Great job.
-Thank you.
-Great job.
There you go. The embrace.
What it's about here in
the Titan Arena, sportsmanship.
[Dwayne] I mean,
after an effort like that,
we're so happy that, you know,
it's a best of three. Right?
Courtney!
Is this your family?
They are dying to meet you.
Hey.
-How you doing?
-Awesome, good!
Good to meet you. Hello, sir.
How good did she do?
She killed it. She killed it!
[Alex] So Courtney strikes first.
But it will take two wins
to face our reigning Titan, Haley Johnson
on Mount Olympus later tonight.
Courtney is strong, but I'm faster.
Jersey, baby.
-Hey, buddy.
-Hey, pal.
[man] Everybody, stand by.
[Alex] Everyone's cheering for me here.
I'm so excited.
They're all cheering for me.
And I'm so famous and loved.
Oh, wait. Never mind.
It's because of him.
[Cari] Yep.
Thank you, buddy.
I'm Blake Broadhurst. I'm 36.
And I'm a police officer
from Orlando, Florida.
Being here on
The Titan Games isis surreal.
Season one, my wife
actually got me onto it.
And she's like, "This is for you."
She knows I'm driven by competition.
When I got the opportunity
to come to the Combine,
I was so excited to have a chance.
I really pushed myself,
but it didn't actually work out for me.
After not making the cut for season one,
I set up a big workout center
in my garage.
I actually call it The Vault.
Inside The Vault,
I have multiple stations,
treadmill, box jumps, weights.
Everything I could possibly think of
that would relate with The Titan Games.
Go!
[whistles]
My daughter, Claire,
basically, she's my trainer.
Go fast.
One. Two.
It's actually motivating,
because I don't wanna let her down.
And I want her to see
how hard I'm working.
I want it to translate
to what she does in her life.
Having an opportunity in season two
is beyond amazing.
It's actually
mind-blowing for me right now.
This is a dream come true.
My family means the world to me.
I wanna be a Titan to show
my wife, my daughter, and my son, Brandon,
it's important to push yourself.
And to do the best
you possibly can always.
[crowd cheering]
I'm Josh Porter, 29
from Jacksonville, Florida.
I'm a parachute rigger
in the United States Army.
I work for the Black Daggers
Parachute
recruiting detachment.
And we literally get to jump
out of planes for a living.
We get to showcase
what we can do for the Army
and put a good spotlight
on the Army as a whole.
We have air shows all across the country
and even overseas.
Being part of the Army,
you have some of the best
experiences of your life.
And you meet some
of the most amazing people,
guys that I'm still friends with today.
While I was stationed at Fort Benning,
I formed a friendship with Weston Lee.
He ended up becoming one
of my best friends in my life.
He was the most caring, energetic,
fun person you could ever be around.
And then he deployed to Iraq.
December 2016
was the last time I got to see him.
It was just a routine, you know, mission.
He stepped on an IED.
[voice breaks] Um
I miss Weston every day.
Some days are better than others.
Some days are good.
Some days you laugh and smile.
Others days you don't.
[sniffles]
Weston was one of those people
you meet once in your lifetime.
Afterwards, my heart was in pieces.
Like, my mind was everywhere.
And I was on a downward spiral.
[dog barks]
But I went and I got
my little best friend, Vinny.
I saw his face, and it was just
It was over for me, like
This little ol' white Frenchie
with these big ol' ears.
And I'm like, "Well, what am I doing?"
I pick him up. He fits in my hand.
And I'm just like pure joy.
We were just hanging out, working out.
It was just me and him
just doing life together.
I brought Vinny down here
to The Titan Games with me.
He's gonna light up the whole room
because, you know, that's what he does.
I'm more than ready for this.
Like, it's gonna be something to watch.
[Alex] So it's Blake versus Josh
in a best of three
to determine who advances to Mount Olympus
to battle Reigning Titan Will Sutton.
Right now, in the Titan Arena,
you're about to prove you can really fly.
Blake and Josh,
let's see how high you can soar
on Launch Pad.
[Alex] Blake in the blue. Josh in the red.
It is Launch Pad.
To win, you've gotta kick and knock
those four 250-pound slabs
that are hanging 15 feet in the air.
Blake drops his first slab!
A single kick there from Josh.
Yeah.
Now Josh gets his first!
Way to go! Way to go!
We're tied at one.
Now Blake trying for his second slab.
No good!
Look at Josh.
He's got himself all twisted up.
He's completely out of control!
Watch your steps, buddy. Now go at it.
And a dropkick from Blake
is gonna send the second one down.
Let's go! Let's go!
Josh is back swinging again,
but did he lose too much time?
Blake kicks down another one.
He's up 3-1.
Looking for the fourth!
Does he have the momentum?
Doesn't get it to fall.
Josh gets his second slab.
Can he get the final two?
Blake still struggling to get
that last slab to fall.
[man] Let's go!
[Alex] Josh swinging now!
He connects!
And it falls! Josh!
Making a comeback.
It's neck and neck.
Next slab wins!
Josh Porter is your winner!
What a comeback! Wow!
Josh Porter was down 3-1,
-and he managed to come back.
-What a comeback!
-What a comeback!
-Good job, man, Josh!
So impressed here by Josh Porter.
Love you, buddy.
Blake came so close.
He built a big lead.
Just could not get
that final slab to fall.
I want it.
We got one more.
Hi, Brayden. Hi, buddy.
[Blake] That's okay. We got one more.
Focused. Come right back.
It's okay.
Ready?
-Go, go, go.
-Hey, hey, hey!
My boy. Hi!
Who is that? Vinny
Who is that?
-This is Vinny.
-Aw, yeah.
All about the love.
He thought you were gonna
be bigger though.
That's what they all think!
[Josh] I feel great.
The hype, the hype was unbelievable.
It was pure adrenaline.
Like, everything, it's just all
the emotions come through.
It was even better to have
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson hand me my dog.
Smile at everybody, Vinny.
All right, good boy, come here.
-[Cari] That was special.
-Wow.
That was beautiful.
-Do people always tell you that?
-What?
They thought you would be bigger.
No. They're like,
"Wow, we didn't know
you were so handsome."
[laughs]
[man] Stand by.
Yep.
-[Courtney] Hi, Mom.
-Hi, honey.
-How you doing? How you feeling?
-Good.
[Courtney] My mom's here.
I wanna make her proud.
I wanna make sure that
all her hard work paid off,
and I'm the representation of that.
You're a badass. Remember that.
Jersey pride!
You got a lot of people
back home rooting for you.
[Alex] The girl from Jersey City
is your game one winner.
[Courtney] Mount Olympus is so close.
I can literally taste it.
I won one. I just need one more.
I'm feeling amped. I'm feeling excited.
-I'm ready.
-Love you.
Love you.
Wish you were here, Ma.
I'mma channel your strength, my strength.
Put it together.
Go out there and kill it, Ma.
Absolutely, bobo!
So, you know, I'm a little bummed
my mom couldn't be here but
I know she was praying for me.
-Godspeed.
-Godspeed.
Now, Courtney, she's a beast, you know?
We're both from Jersey,
so we got that same mentality.
But I'm not going down without a fight.
I'm gonna force this to a tiebreaker,
and I'm gonna become a Titan.
-Bring it home, okay?
-I will.
I'll bring it home.
-Mwah!
-Mwah! Mwah!
[Dwayne] Courtney, Shantal,
for this challenge,
I'm gonna share with you
a little life advice
that I give to my daughters.
Climb fast, run hard,
and, when you get pushed to the edge,
push back.
This is Lunar Impact.
[crowd cheering]
[Alex] Courtney in the blue.
Shantal in the red.
Shantal needs to get there quickly.
Oh
She slipped there for a moment.
And Courtney is up first.
It's a sprint towards the wall.
[thud]
Oh, man! What a collision!
[Cari] This doesn't look good, Goldenboy.
[Alex] No, it does not.
Shantal, she needed that upper hand.
She needed to get that burst of speed.
[Courtney groans]
But look at the power
of Courtney Roselle!
And that's the game!
Wow!
I cannot believe what we just witnessed.
Courtney Roselle wins the battle
for Jersey pride.
That was incredible.
She's strong, but
I've done the Mountain twice now.
I've won both times.
Atta girl!
You were awesome, babe. You were awesome!
[Cari] Tears of joy from Courtney Roselle,
sharing this moment with her mom,
the person who believed in her
when no one else did,
a moment that means so much to her.
Thank you, guys. Thank you, thank you.
-You did a great job.
-Thank you.
I'm a little bummed, you know?
Didn't go how I wanted it to go.
I was climbing and then I kind of
missed my footing a little bit.
I think that might have slowed me down.
But it was a great experience, man.
Hold it down for Jersey now.
Yeah, Jersey, of course.
I'mma cheer you on every step of the way.
All right. Thank you.
[Alex] I have to give credit to Shantal.
It was hard. It was tough.
Not an easy task, that Lunar Impact.
It's all right, okay!
-Yo, so proud of you.
-Man, we love you.
[Cari] Shantal getting some
well-deserved love
from her father
and her fellow firefighters.
-Good job, good job.
-Great job.
[Alex] The day does belong to Courtney
who will be moving on to Mount Olympus.
[Cari] She refers to herself
as the Quad Queen
because she can bounce barbells
as heavy as 200 pounds
off of her thighs.
She calls herself the Quad Queen.
Because she can bounce
200 pounds off her quads.
All right, oh, so you're listening
-when I talk sometimes.
-Yes, all the time.
Oh, my God. We listen to you too.
And how much do you weigh then?
-How much do I weigh?
-Yeah.
It's a sensitive subject.
Why is it a sensitive subject?
I'm going down, you know?
I'm at a solid 222 right now.
I was gonna say.
So that means she can boom.
Bounce you off her quads.
-More importantly.
-Me too!
This Jersey girl's going to Mount Olympus.
[cheering]
Vinners.
Hi, bubba.
Hi. Good boy.
So, Blake, in the first competition,
he's an amazing competitor.
He's a phenomenal athlete.
I definitely have a challenge
set out for me.
But it's not a challenge
that I'm not willing to face.
You know, I've been
through a lot through life.
It's not been easy but right here,
me coming into this, it's me versus me.
I know. It's all scary.
I know. I know.
But Vinny's here.
I always look at him.
His cute little face gives me a smile.
Hi.
Having your best friend here is amazing.
Yes, sir.
Me and my family come a long way.
We trained hard. We've trained together.
They've seen where I come from.
They've seen what I've given.
You're gonna kill it.
You're gonna kill it.
That's my girl.
My wife and my kids give me
all the fuel that I need.
Da-da!
When I walk into the arena,
I'm gonna be focused.
I'm gonna be cool. I'm gonna be calm.
I'm ready to go to war.
I'm ready to get this done.
[Alex] Josh has a 1-0 lead,
so Blake needs to win here
to force a tiebreaker,
or Josh will advance
and face Reigning Titan, Will Sutton,
a Titan who is undefeated
in two battles on Mount Olympus.
I have so much respect
for our next two competitors.
Josh, you're leading the pack, brother.
Blake, you've got a lot
of fight left in you.
You ain't gonna quit.
Now it's time to unleash your inner beast
on Over the Edge.
[Alex] Blake in the blue. Josh in the red.
Let's see what these two men can do here
on Over the Edge.
Blake hauling the chain with both hands.
Josh Porter going hand over hand.
He is flying through it.
Wow!
This is incredible.
Look at Josh's hands
ripping through that chain.
Now he's on to the 75 feet of rope.
Blake had better move.
Here it comes.
Come on, Josh! Come on, Josh!
[Cari] This is ridiculous.
We've never seen
this kind of speed before.
[Alex] Josh Porter!
What? What?
I cannot believe it.
Let's go! Let's go!
Wow.
[Alex] Yo.
Let's go, baby!
Yes!
[Alex] Josh Porter did that
in 35 seconds.
[Cari] That was impressive.
Beyond impressive.
-Great job.
-Yes, sir.
Great job. You're going to Mount Olympus.
Whoo!
-Hey!
-Yeah!
Way to be elite, Josh. That was elite.
-Sorry, guys.
-It's okay.
You're still a winner, babe.
It's frustrating.
I didn't come out on top.
But I get to go back home.
I get to train again.
And I get to be the best me
I can possibly be.
Kick some ass.
Come here, brother.
Thank you, brother.
Giving a bro hug to Dwayne Johnson.
I mean, it doesn't get
much better than that.
Two down, on to Mount Olympus.
I'm coming for you. Let's go!
Josh is strong. Josh is fast.
Let's go!
Gotta be strong. Gotta be fast.
Gotta be dangerous.
This is gonna be fun.
So, being a paratrooper,
give him an edge on the rope?
I mean, possibly, but I think
that Josh just got a
He got a leap on it
-and just found his rhythm.
-Yeah, yeah, yeah.
-He found his rhythm.
-Exactly.
[Josh] My nerves were going.
Feeling a little pumped.
But I'm ready to get it done.
Of course I'm gonna win.
'Cause I'm gonna do it for you.
That's right.
Vinny's here,
and I get to see him every day.
Who wouldn't want their best friend here?
Yeah. We'll get naps later,
after we crush this.
Even though it's a dog,
I still love him to death.
Will won twice before getting up to me.
He's fierce. He's fast.
Just gonna go into this with everything.
I know he's gonna leave nothing,
and I'm gonna do the same.
I'm ready to do this.
[Alex] He's a teacher
who's schooled his opponents
two weeks in a row.
Welcome back
the Country Strong, Will Sutton.
Still your Titan is Will Sutton!
I'm so glad that I'm still the Titan
for the East region.
I guess having a mullet
helps a little bit.
Coming from a small town like Trenton,
and making it on the big stage,
it just means the world.
My town's been through a lot
in these last couple years.
In 2018,
Hurricane Florence came through.
It was devastating.
The Trenton River rose to 29 feet,
which is record levels,
and flooding was just traumatic.
It was a rough time for
everybody in the community.
But the town of Trenton
really came together
to help each other.
It's that family feeling.
I wanna be the light for my town.
And I really boost their spirit.
Me being here is going
to really inspire them.
Will Sutton is about to do it
one more time.
I'm confident in my ability
to be the Titan of the East.
[crowd cheering]
[Alex] Will Sutton has already defeated
two opponents on Mount Olympus
including UFC champ Tyron Woodley.
A win here and he'll keep his hopes alive
of joining Noah Palicia in the West
and Matt Chan from the Central region
in the Titan championship
just two weeks from tonight.
Josh, your victories tonight
have been as impressive as your mustache.
But now you face an absolute powerhouse
who's making America fall
in love with Country Strong.
This is Mount Olympus.
[Alex] Here we go.
We got Josh Porter in the red.
Will Sutton in the black
defending his Titan title.
[Cari] Yeah, so paratrooper
versus high school teacher.
Please do not let that fool you.
[Alex] Will jumping on his box
before it was even down.
On the other side,
Josh has flipped his box a little crooked.
He's gonna have to ride it.
Will now starting to make his way
up the Iron Ascent.
Now Josh has started to climb,
and look at that speed.
Wow.
[Cari] He is flying.
[Alex] Oh, wow.
Just the way that they
manhandle the Log Lift there.
Throwing it like caution to the wind.
-Josh Porter is a strong man.
-Josh is a beast.
He is a beast. [laughs]
[Alex] Oh, wow.
These two men are so well matched, Cari.
[Cari] Now here's the deal
on the Sky Bridge.
This is where you find out
how they're able to separate themselves
and get a slight edge.
But, as you just mentioned,
they're neck and neck!
[Alex] Did you see that rhythm
there from Josh Porter?
The way that he was able to get himself
right back into the lead.
[Dwayne] Yes. Yes.
[Cari] Josh has such quick hands.
We saw that on Over the Edge,
and now here again on the Sky Bridge.
You got it. You got it.
[Alex] Let's see if he can keep
on riding the momentum,
and utilize his speed to his advantage.
Will Sutton should be right behind him.
You got it, babe. Go.
Go, go, go!
-[Alex] Whoa!
-[Cari] Oh, my.
[Alex] Goodness gracious. He fell down.
But he's gonna be okay.
Look at Will flying down the Drop Zone!
He's taking over the lead.
Come on, Josh. Go, buddy, go.
-Go, go, you got this!
-Come on!
You got this, buddy. Come on.
[Cari] Josh looks like
he's slowing down, Goldenboy.
[Alex] Yeah, something is certainly
not right there with Josh.
But Will Sutton, he's getting low.
He's bringing that chain all
the way across his shoulder.
Next to him, Josh Porter's struggling
to pull this 300-pound ball and chain.
-I think he's hurt, Cari.
-He's exhausted.
[Dwayne] He's exhausted. He's exhausted.
-Come on, buddy, you got it.
-[Alex] Will checking Josh.
-He's not taking any chances.
-All right, you got it.
Still giving everything he's got.
Now getting to work on that Titan Tomb.
Will Sutton never gives up. Ever.
[Alex] And Josh Porter hasn't been able
to move that ball and chain.
You see him wincing in pain,
perhaps from that big fall
out of the Cage Crawl.
But, on the other side,
you got Will Sutton.
This man, he's got the tomb shredded open
and the Relic in hand.
He knows he is still your reigning Titan.
Country Strong.
Will Sutton is your winner.
Will Sutton continues to impress.
They are celebrating in
Trenton, North Carolina, baby.
[Cari] 285 people at home cheering him on.
[Alex] Meanwhile, Josh Porter
is now down on all fours.
He took the lead on the Sky Bridge,
and it was looking like
he had a shot to beat Will Sutton.
Come on, buddy.
He did take a nasty spill,
coming out of that Cage Crawl.
[Cari] Yeah, he hurt himself.
-You did good.
-[Alex] The fact that, despite it all,
he still went to the objective.
He still gave it every ounce
of energy he had.
Nothing but respect
for this parachute rigger.
We're not done with him though.
He will have his opportunity
at the regional finals.
Yeah.
Hey, buddy.
What?
Come on, buddy. It's all right.
Here, I got you. Yeah, I got you.
Come on. Let's go.
[Cari] Walking gingerly, getting back up.
[Will] Josh was right there
the whole entire time.
Tremendous speed.
Whoo. That was epic right there.
That was a battle to the end.
Going on Mount Olympus three times.
Whew, it was tough.
I respect that mountain right there.
[Alex] Gotta be so proud of your boy.
Country Strong Will Sutton
reigns supreme on Mount Olympus.
[Cari] Unbelievable.
[Alex] He truly is what
The Titan Games represents,
people who come from everyday jobs,
every walk of life, for an opportunity.
Let's hear it for Country Strong.
The legend of Will Sutton continues.
Three times in a row, champ.
How's it feel?
It feels pretty good.
I don't know what to do with my hands.
But it feels good, man.
It was neck and neck the whole way.
Just had to show
a little bit of that grit,
that true grit right there. Got it done.
One of my favorite things
about you is that accent,
that New York City accent.
It's unbelievable.
Well, can't wait for you
to try and make it a fourth.
We're proud of you here
in the Titan Arena.
You continue to kick ass
and make everybody proud.
Let's hear it for Will Sutton.
Country Strong. Great job, brother.
[Will] I'm gon' stay a Titan.
I ain't giving this up.
Came here to have fun and become a Titan.
That's just what we're doing right now.
[Courtney]
I'm here at The Titan Games to represent
all the hard work that
my family has done for me
in order for me to be here.
I've been working hard.
I'm here to represent strong girls,
that they can do this as well.
Haley has an advantage right now.
She has run Mount Olympus twice already.
She has beat it twice.
So, if she's worried about me,
I'm more worried about her.
I'm ready. I'm ready to go.
Fired up.
I wanna become a Titan
more than I wanna breathe right now.
[Alex] Still your reigning champion,
Haley Johnson!
It's definitely an unreal feeling,
being the Reigning Titan of the East.
You are undefeated.
What is your secret?
I don't know. I've got my dad with me.
I have this prayer quilt that my dad held
the last five days of his life.
During all of these challenges,
I've always carried it with me.
And I definitely feel as though
it's brought me some strength
and helped me conquer
all the challenges that I've done so far.
My family's been through a lot
since my dad passed.
And my mom has had to be
the strongest of all of us.
Not only did she lose a husband,
but she's lost a father to her kids,
the sole provider for our family.
So her being able to be so strong
has made me wanna be even stronger.
Winning Mount Olympus twice
has solidified why I'm here.
Courtney, you better bring your A game,
'cause I'm definitely not gonna give up
my Titan title without a fight.
[Alex] Another win tonight
on Mount Olympus
would make Haley Johnson the Titan to beat
in next week's East Regional Finals,
where we determine who will
join the Titan from the West,
Margaux Alvarez,
and our Titan from the Central region,
Dani Speegle, in the championship.
[Dwayne] The Quad Queen, Courtney,
versus Johnson Strong Haley.
This is a main event
for any arena around the world.
Courtney, Haley, get ready
for Mount Olympus.
[Alex] Courtney in the blue.
Haley Johnson in the Titan black.
And let's see what the defending Titan
can do here once again on Mount Olympus.
[Cari] Yeah, I hear Dwayne
call her "Johnson Strong."
She really surprised a lot of us.
But listen. She's a first lieutenant,
active duty Army, registered nurse.
[Alex] She is truly something special.
And it's a reason why she's managed
to hold on this long to her Titan title.
-Come on, Haley!
-[Alex] But let's not forget
about the girl from Jersey,
Courtney Roselle!
This woman is phenomenal to say the least.
She continues to impress
day in and day out.
And look at her go on that log lift.
Oh, a little stumble from Courtney,
but a quick recovery.
Push, Courtney, push!
Haley gets her log to the top first.
Now Courtney locks hers in as well.
She's right on her tail.
Let's go, ladies. There you go.
Look at how fast they're moving.
Both removing 240 pounds of chain
to release each bridge.
This has been a neck and neck race
between these two athletes, Cari.
[Cari] Mount Olympus
does not discriminate.
We've seen athletes that
appeared to be unstoppable
humbled by this mountain.
This is anyone's race right now.
Push and pull. Push and pull.
Dead heat right now.
[Alex] It is gonna be Courtney
who does manage to get
that bridge down first.
Haley right behind.
Yes, Court! Go, Court!
[Cari] DJ, in terms of these ladies,
you're looking at this race,
what will it take to make it
to the finish line?
[Dwayne] You know,
the good thing about Haley
is she has the experience,
so she knows what to expect.
Right.
But Courtney is just another level.
[Alex] Oh, indeed.
And I have no idea
how to even predict this
because they're so close to one another.
Haley is actually making up some ground
here in the Cage Crawl,
right on Courtney's heels.
Another dead heat. Look at this.
Look at this!
They're right next to each other
as they complete the Cage Crawl.
But as it stands right now,
the slight lead is gonna be
for Courtney Roselle,
who continues down the Drop Zone.
Legs are getting wobbly,
but this is the moment
where you gotta dig deep.
Let's go, ladies.
Let's go, ladies!
[Cari] This is where the technique
and the strength come.
All right. This is the test.
200 pounds,
125 pounds of chain.
Look at Courtney!
[Alex] The Quad Queen, Courtney Roselle!
Pull that ball! Yeah!
Drags that ball around the arena.
But Haley Johnson, Johnson Strong,
not gonna be outdone here at all.
There goes the sledgehammer though.
Who's gonna get to the Relic first, Cari?
Break it! Come on!
Come on! Hit it! Hit it!
[Alex] This could come down
to a split second.
[Dwayne] This is close.
This could not be closer.
Both women are tearing away
at the cement that's inside the Tomb.
This is close!
But it's gonna be Courtney Roselle
who has the Relic in hand.
Today, this is the Quad Queen's court
in the Titan Arena.
Courtney Roselle is your winner.
That was close.
[Dwayne] You got it.
Congratulations.
Thank you for giving a platform
to real-life superheroes.
You have some real-life superheroes here.
Some real-life superheroes.
And you're one of them.
[Alex] Another impressive performance
from Haley Johnson.
She came up just short.
But she'll return as a competitor
for a shot at redemption
in the Regional Finals
one week from tonight.
I think I was a little more tired,
a little sore going into it.
But I was literally a second
behind her putting it in.
Going into the Regional Final,
I'm gonna meet Courtney
back on Mount Olympus.
I know I gotta go back out and kill it,
and bring that Titan title home for real.
[crowd cheering]
I'm proud of you, honey. I'm proud of you.
[Cari] Courtney Roselle says,
-"When I was younger"
-You did it.
she was told by so many people
that she couldn't be a model.
She took that rejection.
She turned it into her platform.
And that is why she is here today.
Ladies and gentlemen, your new Titan,
Courtney Roselle.
That was a hell of a performance.
You spend a lot of time inspiring women.
It's very important to you.
And what message
did you send to them today?
All I wanna tell women is
love yourself. You love others.
It's a domino effect.
Let's keep on lifting each other up,
'cause that's why we're here.
This is our time.
This is our time to be strong.
And let's do it.
Let's do this together though.
-Yes, yes!
-Love that.
Congratulations, brand-new champion.
Can't wait to see you defend
your title next week
right here on The Titan Games.
-Thank you.
-Courtney Strong.
My girl. My girl.
