Scream (2015) s02e11 Episode Script

Heavenly Creatures

1 Previously on "Scream".
We both killed Piper, and now, he wants revenge on both of us.
The sheriff told me that Eli had broken into some girl's bedroom.
Now, that we know this is the thing Eli does, you have to wonder if he could be the one who keeps sneaking into our rooms.
(GROANING) This is about us.
It isn't about Noah.
Why are you doing this? It's more fun this way.
If you follow my clues, maybe you can save Noah's life.
You brought Piper here! And why? What did I do to you? Do you hear that? EMMA: Noah, can you hear us? - I heard Zoe.
- Oh, my God.
AUDREY: She must be at Wren Lake somewhere.
- AUDREY: The dock! - EMMA: Yes! (GRUNTING) - We played your game and we followed your rules - Zoe? - And you still killed Zoe.
- I always win.
- You're gonna lose in the end.
- Really? Look at the evidence.
You hired Jake to burn down your stupid failed development.
You got him to do your dirty work.
He would still be alive if it wasn't for you.
- It's my mom's special place.
- For special friends? MIGUEL: Stavo didn't come home last night.
We came to Lakewood for a fresh start, but then, I found these in his room.
I found a bunch of old pictures of myself at a farm out on Pikeview Road.
MIGUEL: I went back to the pig farm.
There's a hidden room.
I found furniture, photos of Emma.
I think Brandon James might be back.
I think I may have a way to tell if he's really back.
- How? - It's a long shot.
(SUSPENSEFUL MUSIC PLAYING) (CLOCK TICKING) (ALARM BEEPS) (METAL SCRAPING) (CLATTERING, PAGES TURNING) (BREATHING HEAVILY) (GASPS) (BANGING) (DOOR OPENS) (DOOR CLOSES) (LOCKS DOOR) Mom! Scream S02E11 Heavenly Creatures - What are you doing up? - Couldn't sleep.
You going somewhere? It's, like, 3:30.
(KEYS JINGLING) Emma's.
(DOOR CLOSES) (CAR DOOR OPENS, ENGINE STARTS) (VEHICLE DEPARTS) (POLICE RADIO CHATTER) The house is all clear.
We checked it top to bottom.
This wooden heart the only thing left behind? I think so.
Kieran! He didn't hurt you, did he? No.
I tried communicating with Brandon earlier tonight, like we talked about.
Honestly, I didn't think anything would come of it.
This is a response? I don't know.
I'm terrified.
It's okay.
It's okay.
We'll figure this out.
Let's say that it's not Brandon.
Let's say it's not Brandon.
Is there anyone else who has a strong connection to Piper? Kristin Lang knew Piper.
QUINN: Sheriff Acosta and I are doing everything possible to make sure that we apprehend the person responsible for these heinous crimes.
We did not deserve Piper Shaw, and we do not deserve these new horrors.
Hey! Hey.
Hey, guys.
How you doing? I, um I got you a coffee, and I got you a mocha, coconut, extra shot, right? I can only have clear fluids.
Right.
Right.
Sorry.
Um, we, uh we downloaded a bunch of movies to watch.
All your creepy faves! Psycho, Night of the Living Dead, It Follows.
I don't want to watch any of that.
Zoe said it.
I turn death into a puzzle I can solve instead of dealing with my feelings.
I missed out on so much obsessing on slasher logic, playing detective.
I'm done with all of that.
What do you mean? I'm done with my murder obsession and everything that goes with it.
I'm shutting down The Morgue.
We can't give up, Noah.
Why not? He wins every game.
I told my mom you guys would go over and take down the murderboard and pack up everything that goes with it.
I don't want to see any of that stuff ever again.
Yeah.
Of course, Noah.
Whatever you need.
(CLATTERING, BEEPING) - Welcome home! - Hm, home, huh? Yeah! I say we stay here forever.
Mm, I say you're crazy.
- How's Noah? - Mm, he's ruined.
He's not acting like himself at all.
Sad part is, we all know exactly what he's going through.
Oh, someone's good at room service.
You have some options for lunch.
They've been running that press conference all morning.
- Should I turn it off? - No.
We have survived this kind of rampage before and we will survive it again, by keeping our loved ones close, home, where they belong, with their families, safe and sound.
He was talking to you, wasn't he? Lakewood has a dark past, but I don't know how we're gonna decipher this without Noah.
Audrey, is there anything that you haven't told me about Piper? No.
No, no.
I promise, you know the whole horrible, embarrassing story.
Guys? Hey, hey.
Come here.
Look at this.
- Will's funeral.
- No, look in the background.
- Oh, my God.
That's Eli.
- Eli was in Lakewood? - Did you know this? - No.
What was Eli doing at Will's funeral? - Inpatient facility, dial 2546.
- Hey.
Did you get the murderboard down? It and everything else.
All boxed up and awaiting your orders.
Good.
Incinerate it.
- We found something in the teardown.
- Audrey, I'm done.
It's a lead in your accomplice theory.
I told you, I don't care.
No more murder stuff.
Okay.
You're right.
I'm sorry.
- Is that why you're here? - No, actually.
I went through this too, with Rachel.
If you want to talk Zoe spoke my language.
Told me The Morgue was amazing.
That I could make the morbid beautiful.
(PHONE VIBRATING) (PHONE VIBRATES) I think I'm gonna do one final podcast.
A tribute to Zoe, to say good-bye.
I'll let you get to it.
EMMA: "She's good at cutting people off.
She better watch out.
I cut deeper.
" Wh-What's he saying? How have you cut anyone off? Oh, my God, this (SIGHS) Oh, my God, this could be Eli.
He sent me a bunch of texts after what happened at the carnival.
I didn't respond because I had no idea what to say.
Could he think you're maybe cutting him off? - Yeah, maybe.
- I gotta take care this.
- Hey, Kieran! Kieran, stop! - I have to confront him, Emma.
- This has to stop.
- No, seriously, she's right! Don't go! - I'm gonna bash his head in.
- If Eli is the one who's actually behind all this and you go and confront him, who knows what he's gonna do? Okay? Please.
Hey.
For me, don't do it.
Okay.
No, you're right.
So, what are we gonna do? (OBJECTS RUSTLING) He's paying us $15,000 to get out of town.
Why does this always happen? You make some dumb mistake and ruin everything.
Mistake? No, this is payday.
And what have I ruined for you? I have things here, okay? Things that I don't want to run away from.
And by "things," you mean your cousin's girlfriend? Don't you understand that if we stay, we risk them finding out everything about us? Yeah, no, we gotta go.
No, we don't! Okay? We're not going anywhere until I say so.
- What about the mayor? - Screw the mayor.
I'll get rid of that.
Hey, it's Brooke.
Leave a message if you have to, but I'd really rather you text.
- (LINE BEEPS) - Brooke, honey, I'm worried.
I know you're angry, but it is time to come home, where it's safe.
- Honey, I - (LOUD MUSIC PLAYING INSIDE) WOMAN: If you want me, I'll be waiting If you don't, it's okay (MUSIC GROWS LOUDER) Why did you come here today? Brooke, is that you? Do you really think there's something more to say? Or do you just need saving? Brooke! Turn that down! At your beck and call We're not the first to fall Brooke? To feel unknown Brooke? Still we jump at your beck and call We're not the first to fall To feel unknown To feel unknown To feel unknown To feel un (FAINT CLATTERING) I know you're having a hard time remembering things, but our investigation into the incident at the Children's Home revealed that you and Piper Shaw were residents.
- Is that right? - Oh.
Well, yes, I was at Blessed Sisters for a very short while.
- But you and Piper were close? - No.
I barely knew her.
Piper was a lot younger than me.
Well, how long were you both in the home? Three or four months, if that.
You were kids under the same roof.
I'm sure you played together.
A lot of kids passed through that place, Sheriff.
If Piper and I ever did anything together, I don't remember it.
And, honestly, the fact that I have any connection to her is not something I'm eager to admit to this town.
Or to the other students that you taped without permission? I'm doing an informal case study on the survivors of last year's attacks.
If they knew I had any link to Piper, they never would've talked to me.
Hmm Well, in your research is there anyone that you felt had an unhealthy obsession with Piper? Anyone at all? Your son is very talented, Sheriff, with a unique perspective.
- Is that a nice way of saying "disturbing"? - Maybe.
But you know what it stems from, don't you? He's trying to understand you.
(SCOFFS) He's trying to understand me? His early fascination with death started when he snuck into one of your files.
He saw a crime scene photo, a dead gang member shot in the head.
Stavo said it was the first time he was really struck with the reality of what you live with day in and day out.
Well, he didn't say anything to me Stavo doesn't talk about it.
He draws it.
But, if you really want to know who has the largest obsession with Piper I would have to say it's Emma Duval.
She was already dealing with hallucinations, fits of rage, violent, recurring nightmares.
There's no telling how this new round of violence could be impacting her.
Coming home doesn't mean you have to forgive him.
I never do really.
You're going home too, right? That's the agreement.
I'll be fine.
That's not an answer to my question.
It doesn't help to ignore your dad.
I'm going home.
I promise.
Because, Zoe Vaughn you were special especially to me, especially special.
This is especially horrible.
Yeah, it is.
What are you doing here? Heard you were screwed up.
I guess I didn't think of you as the hospital visit type.
Don't be mad.
I didn't bring flowers.
- (SCOFFS) - So, what are you working on? Just a farewell podcast.
The culmination of my life's work that needs to be perfect because it's also a eulogy for one of the most amazing women that's ever lived.
She was amazing.
But you cannot end The Morgue, you dumb-ass.
Empathy is tough for you, huh? Your podcast does something for people, me included.
- Thanks, but I'm done.
- Noah The death rate is one per person.
Nobody gets out of this alive.
Someone needs to talk about that.
Now, I'm sending you something better than some crappy "get well" balloons.
Check your email.
I really hope this works.
ELI: You know he's completely losing it right now.
He has to be.
All right.
Well, I hope you know what you're getting into, - 'cause I'm not really comfortable - Listen, it's fine, okay? - (FRIDGE DOOR OPENS) - ELI: Let's grab a beer.
You're not gonna believe what I found in those files.
It's more than just insurance scams.
He's robbed half the people in town.
He even played the Jameses.
Wait.
And who are they? Lakewood's most famous family.
(PHONE VIBRATING) Hey, look.
Did you find anything? I'm just getting here.
Oh, my God.
That's EMMA: "Piper Shaw.
" Yeah.
Yeah, those are my letters to Piper.
Here he's.
Come on.
Come here, come on.
- Check it out.
- Oh, my God.
- He was using these to mess with you? - To enslave me.
You realize that if Eli had these letters then he's the killer.
No doubt.
We should probably turn these over to the police.
No.
No, Audrey, you can't do that.
Those are gonna incriminate you.
We need to find more evidence against Eli.
What are these? These aren't mine.
These are just like the pictures that I saw at the farm.
These might even be the same ones.
Could Eli be the person you saw there? Yeah, maybe.
Maybe he's using the pig farm as a hideout.
Who knows how long he's been in Lakewood? So, Eli's in the house right now? He's in the backyard with his mom.
- You know what? Take these back.
- What? I'm serious.
Take them back! If he finds out they're missing, there's no telling what he'll do, okay? We cannot piss him off or let him know we're onto him.
- Take them.
- Okay.
Take these, too.
Go.
- I'll see you at your house.
- EMMA: Okay.
You know, there's probably more evidence at the pig farm.
Yeah.
We need to go now while Eli's in the house.
I'm gonna text Kieran.
(ENGINE STARTS, VEHICLE DEPARTS) (SIGHS) - (DOOR CLOSES) - Hello.
Brooke.
Did, um, you enjoy your stay at The Emissary? Mm, I did.
I'm only home because I missed my closet.
- Did you get my message? - Mm-hmm.
And I saw your speech.
Dad, how many times do I have to tell you not to wear that tie? It's ugly.
Brooke I missed you.
Good.
I'm glad.
(PHONE DINGS) (PHONE DINGS, VIBRATES) (CHUCKLES) (PHONE DINGS) - Sheriff? - That the forensics from the barn? Preliminary results.
Blood residue matches Jake Fitzgerald.
Only three sets of prints.
Fitzgerald, Audrey Jensen, and Emma Duval.
Well, we know that they were there.
Anything else? - Uh, no.
No, sir.
- (SIGHS) How does somebody bury a guy alive and not leave any fingerprints? I don't know.
I've never buried anyone alive.
And one last thank you to my loyal listeners for your condolences.
Life is short.
It is random.
I've seen Final Destination.
Death is coming for us all and it can't be cheated.
It's up to us to enjoy every moment we're lucky enough to have, with the people we're lucky enough to love.
You know, tonight was going to be my final broadcast but Zoe loved this show, just like you guys.
She wouldn't have let me shut it down, or give up.
So, tonight's not the end, my friends.
Instead, tonight, we remember that it's okay to be afraid.
The only ones who aren't afraid are the monsters.
Somebody whispered that to me in a dream once, and reminded me that, no matter how many nightmares Freddy sends us, we, the living, have to wake up and rise up against the monsters.
I'm dedicating this installment of The Morgue and everyone that follows to Zoe Vaughn.
Every time I press upload, I'll be thinking of you.
Rest in peace.
All right, Zoe, let's see if you're listening.
- (DISTORTED LAUGHING) - What the heck? What is this? Stop, stop, stop, stop, stop.
Stop Oh.
Oh, okay.
So, somebody remotely hacked your laptop and uploaded a mystery file.
It's probably nothing.
Just a superfan continuing the narrative.
(SIGHS) It's just a superfan.
It's just a superfan.
(WOMAN SCREAMING) (COMPUTER DINGS) - Sheriff! - What is it? You gotta see this.
(HAUNTING MELODY PLAYING) AUDREY: I brought Piper to Lakewood.
I would do anything to keep it secret.
Help me! Please! Somebody help! Help! EMMA: I stabbed all of my friends.
(ECHOING) all of my friends.
I look down and my hands are covered in blood.
(ECHOING) covered in blood.
It all closes in on you, and then you can't get out.
(SCREAMING) - EMMA: I trusted her - Audrey? What made me think I could even set foot in this place again? AUDREY: He was like me.
He was alone, rejected, and angry.
This is Audrey.
Can't get to my phone.
Leave a message.
This playing from that Noah kid's podcast? Yes, sir.
It started streaming in a repeating loop.
People have been calling us about it.
EMMA: No matter where I ran, they followed me.
Their voices Get this down to digital forensics.
We need to confirm the IP address of who posted this.
- Friends taunting me, taunting me - Miguel! Until I couldn't take it anymore and I lashed out.
Kieran Wilcox just called me.
Emma and Audrey are on their way to the James farm.
The pig farm? Did Kieran say why? No, and Emma won't answer my calls.
Stevens, let's move.
Fabulous.
It's a crumbling, creepy house.
Yeah, there's also a crumbling, creepy barn to match.
It used to belong to the James family.
Or it still does.
Really? How did I not know that? Okay, so I'm thinking that I go inside and you stay out here? Look, someone has to keep watch, and I've already been in there before.
Okay? Yeah, okay.
Just call me the minute that you see anything.
(SIGHS) (FLOOR CREAKING) (RINGTONE PLAYING) - What's happening? - I think I found something.
Come upstairs.
Look.
Look, someone's been living here, or hiding out here, or something.
This is just like what I saw when I came here with Brooke that first time.
This is creepy.
What's that? Whoa, whoa.
That's mine.
That's my dream journal.
"I stabbed all of my friends.
Wildly.
Out of control.
Noah, Kieran, Audrey.
I look down and my hands are covered in blood.
I've had a lot of dreams that end with blood on my hands lately.
My mom heard me screaming in my sleep.
" Wait, the the killer must've taken this out of my room last night, and then brought it here.
Why is it open to this page? - (VEHICLE APPROACHING) - Hey.
- Isn't that Brooke's dad's car? - Let's go.
Okay, I'm here! Let's make this quick.
Come on! I haven't got all night, Old MacDonald! (SIGHS) (WHISTLING) (WHISTLING) (WHISTLING) (WHISTLING) (PHONE DINGS) (GROANS) (GRUNTING, SCREAMING) Wait.
We have to find out what he's doing here.
It is so weird.
I've had nightmares about this place since I was a little kid.
- Ready? - Yeah.
Oh, my God! Mr.
Maddox! (GROANING) - Oh! - Oh, my God.
Oh, my God! Oh, no! No, no, no, no, no! (LOUD CLATTERING) (SIREN BLARING FAINTLY) (SIRENS BLARING) (VEHICLE DOORS CLOSING) Drop the weapons! Hands up! (SUSPENSEFUL MUSIC PLAYING) - MAN: Coming through.
- (WOMAN SPEAKING INDISTINCTLY) AUDREY: Wait, are you arresting us? EMMA: You can't possibly believe that we did this.
The killer was in the barn! We heard him! Sheriff, you're letting him get away! It wasn't us! - You know that it wasn't us! - All right, I need you to search the grounds, - a hundred yards in every direction - Emma! Emma! - MIGUEL: Let's go.
- Mom, the mayor is dead.
We didn't do it.
- We didn't do it! - Wait, you're arresting her? Maggie, we found her with a pitchfork in her hand over a dead body.
- (GROANS) - I have to take her in.
- Let me talk to her.
- You can't talk to her here.
- You shouldn't even be here.
- I'm the reason you're here! You can talk to her at the station.
Maggie, as a friend Emma needs a lawyer.
It's gonna be okay.
Just go quietly.
I'm gonna see you at the station.
- Yeah, okay.
- Emma! Emma! - Kieran! Kieran! - Whoa! Stop, stop, stop! - Let them go! - Don't make this worse.
- Don't make it worse! - You've got this wrong.
So wrong! - Emma! - Stop.
- Stop.
- Emma! (ENGINE STARTS) (SIREN BLARING) (BOTH BREATHING HEAVILY) If they think we killed the mayor then they think we killed everybody.
Next time on Scream.
