Thunderbirds Are Go! (2015) s02e13 Episode Script

Escape Proof

- After you, m'lady.
- Thank you, Parker.
[SNEEZES.]
Afraid it looks like another dead end.
A lot of dirt.
Hm, but no sign of the Mechanic.
- Mind your step, Parker! - Aah! - Dead end indeed.
- Much obliged, m'lady.
This explains all the dirt.
Someone's been digging.
[BARKS.]
What is it, Sherbet? Is something down there? [WHIMPERS.]
[BEEPING.]
Not something, someone.
That's Morse Code for SOS.
International Rescue, this is Lady Penelope.
We may need some help.
Thunderbird-5 responding.
What's the situation? A deep one.
A very deep one.
Hello! Hello! Somebody, please, help me.
Help! Five four three two one.
[THRUSTERS.]
[TITLE MUSIC.]
Thunderbirds are go! 2x13 - Escape Proof We were looking through buildings once linked to the Hood, - when we stumbled upon this.
- Wow.
That's what I call a big hole.
So we're dealing with an enormous rabbit or an enormous machine.
Either way, I don't like how this looks.
There's more.
It seems some poor soul is trapped down there.
Thunderbird-5, have you alerted the GDF? They should have someone nearby that can help.
I was told all local squadrons had been called away.
We're it.
F-A-B.
Gordon and I are on our way.
[MUSIC.]
Five, four, three, two, one.
Thunderbird-2 is go.
Whoever you are, help is on its way! - I'm not waiting.
Parker, bring the car around.
- Yes, m'lady.
- Thunderbird-2, we're going in.
- Sure that's a good idea? - Shouldn't you wait for backup? - Have I ever, Gordon? Come to think of it, no.
I'll let you know what we find.
- Shall we? - Very good, m'lady.
FAB-1 is off.
- Hello! - Listen.
- He's still here.
- Help! Hello! John, are you seeing this? Destruction on this scale could only be the Mechanic.
Agreed.
But where's he going? If I re-task Thunderbird-5 to use its ground-penetrating radar, it might give a clue.
- But that'll take some time.
- Time we may not have.
Can you lock in on my signal instead? - I can.
Good idea.
- Hello? Hello? - Is someone down there? - Yes! We can hear you! Don't worry, help is on the way! - Thunderbird-2, what's your ETA? - We're arriving now.
[MUSIC.]
Explore Pod is go! Thanks for dropping in on such short notice.
Don't mention it.
Where's our unlucky victim? Somewhere up there, I think.
He's a plumber who was working in the sub-basement when it collapsed.
Rather colourful character.
Says his name is Horse.
Horse? Uh Horse? This is International Rescue.
- Are you all right? - Oh, yeah, can't complain.
Got my holidays coming up.
You ever been to Spain? What am I saying? Of course you have.
Bet you boys have been everywhere.
[WHIMPERS.]
- I mean, are you injured? - No, don't think so.
But my legs are stuck.
Good thing it's not my mouth, right? [LAUGHTER.]
This one's a talker! - Why the mess? - Looks like several levels pancaked together.
He's lucky he survived.
Even luckier that Lady Penelope happened to find him.
Don't worry, uh Horse.
We'll have you out of there in a jiffy.
Jiffy, funny word, innit? I wonder what it means, "jiffy.
" My sensors are getting thrown off by the exposed electrical wiring.
He could be anywhere up there.
We need to track where the Mechanic is going.
- That means getting through this debris.
- BOTH: F-A-B.
Doesn't seem to be bearing any weight.
But we'll set up braces just to be safe.
That should do it.
Thanks, boys.
Drive on, Parker.
We need to know why the Mechanic did this.
And hope he doesn't do the same thing to us.
- He's still talking! - Whatever keeps him occupied.
This is going to be like looking for a needle in a haystack.
We'll just have to be methodical.
Horse, we're going to start digging you out now.
Yeah.
Don't think I'm going anywhere.
John, are you still locked in on my signal? Yes.
Based on the current heading I'm calculating your probable path now.
This isn't good.
You're heading straight for Parkmoor Scrubs Prison.
Parkmoor Scrubs? That's where they're holding the Hood.
This is a prison break.
Well, that explains why my GDF forces in the area were called away on a false alarm.
But breaking the Hood out of Parkmoor Scrubs Prison - is impossible.
- But colonel, we know the Mechanic has already made one attempt at the designs for the place.
- Maybe he found something.
- Not likely.
The Hood is being held in a steel-reinforced maximum-security cell.
In the centre of the prison.
It would take hours for anyone, even the Mechanic to cut through that.
Still, to be on the safe side, I recommend you move him to another location.
- You're certain this is a real threat? - Absolutely.
Very well.
I'll have my team retrieve him immediately.
[BEEP.]
Huh? Colonel Casey.
There's something wrong.
- We can't open the door.
- What's the matter? Locked out? What a pity.
Something's taken control of the lock.
How's he doing this? I'm picking up an electronic signal from inside the cell.
It's the same one we detected once before.
- Can I get a video feed? - Patching it through.
- Running spectral analysis.
- I really must congratulate you, Colonel.
You've done a splendid job of keeping me from getting out.
Too bad you gave far less consideration to how you would be getting in.
The signal's coming from his eye.
It's cybernetic.
If he's had it the whole time he's been in there, this escape could have been planned from the start.
It's like one big giant game of pickup sticks.
Except this is no game.
A man's life is at stake.
[SIGHS.]
Great.
Horse, we're going to need to double back.
- We've reached another dead end.
- Sit tight, pal.
We just need to cut through a few more pipes.
[STAMMERS.]
W-W-Wait, wait! What kind of pipes? Some red ones, some blue ones.
An orange one.
Orange? Don't cut that one! It's a liquid fuel pipe.
Unless you wanna get blown to bits.
He's right, Gordon.
Those pipes are all colour-coded.
The red means hot water, the blue means cold.
- And the orange means - Kaboom.
I get it.
Thanks for the heads-up, Horse.
We'll be more careful.
Horse, what kind of pipes are near you? I was working on a green and white stripe one.
Green and white? Green and white There it is! Good.
We're going to follow the green and white pipe.
It should lead us right to you.
- Any sign of the Mechanic yet? - There's something up ahead.
But I can't get a clear look.
Blimey, it's thicker than my mum's pea soup.
Hang on, m'lady! It can't have vanished into thin air.
Where did it go? It's heading for the surface.
Did you feel that? [RUMBLING.]
Colonel, get your team out of there.
All GDF forces, evacuate now.
- But, Colonel - That's an order.
Move! [ALARM BLARING.]
[MUSIC.]
I don't believe it.
It's just swallowed the Hood's cell whole.
The way that thing digs it looks like a giant mechanical antline.
And it's heading back your way.
- Perhaps we shouldn't linger.
- Very good, m'lady.
They're retracing their steps.
Good.
We'll be there to meet them at the entrance.
You'd best hurry, Colonel.
They're moving fast.
There's just one little problem.
If we don't get Horse out, that thing is going to smash right through him.
They seem to be in a bit of a rush.
I don't think they're going to stop for us.
Or for you.
Or for anyone.
[MUSIC.]
I hate to pressure you, Virgil, but there's a giant mechanical antline headed our way.
Tell me something I don't know.
[GRUNTS.]
Uh there's no more green and white pipe.
Where'd it go? It must have sheared off during the cave-in.
- So much for following a path.
- The rest of it must be nearby.
- Keep looking.
- Hello! Is there a problem? Uh.
Just a minor setback.
Should I be worried? 'Cos 'Cos I'm worried.
It's OK, Horse.
We're going to get you out.
Just try and stay calm.
We seem to be in their way, Parker.
I can't exactly pull over and let them pass.
Virgil, Gordon, do you have an update? Still haven't located Horse.
Is there anything you can do to slow that thing down? - I'll see what we can do.
- Already on it, m'lady.
I'm afraid we'll have to try something else.
Well, you made quite an entrance.
- But you are two weeks late.
- You're welcome.
International Rescue is here.
Did you send out invitations? - They're not a problem.
- They are to me.
Get rid of them.
Now! My meccas can handle this.
We've got more company, m'lady.
Where's a good exterminator when you need one? And I just waxed that this morning! Hang on, m'lady.
Parker! Stop playing around with your toys.
Run them down! Gordon, we can't slow the antline down.
- You'll have to hurry.
- F-A-B.
- Horse has stopped talking.
- I don't believe it.
- He has an off switch.
- Horse? Are you OK? To be honest, I am still a little worried.
Maybe I should stop blabbing and let you boys work.
That's why they call me Horse, you know? 'Cos I can talk myself hoarse.
[CHUCKLES.]
Wekk, keep talking! It'll help us find you.
If I patch into the computer on Thunderbird-5 I may be able to triangulate his location by the sound of his voice.
- John? - Already on it.
This way! - Look! Green and white! - My favourite colours.
- Hi, Horse.
- It's good to see you.
Let's get outta here.
Quick.
Pleasure to make your acquaintance.
Thanks.
Feel like I already know you.
- Gordon, step on it.
- I stepped on a bug once.
Big as your head, honest.
I'm afraid our exit's been blocked, m'lady.
And there's only one missile left.
Then let's make it count.
Gordon, are you clear yet? Please say yes.
- All clear.
- F-A-B.
Parker, now.
Look out, you fool! Why are we stopping? Go out the way you came in.
- I wouldn't advise that.
- I don't want your advice.
I want your absolute obedience.
I've done everything you asked me to.
Your machines are impressive.
Your results are pathetic.
The only thing you've ever done for me is fail.
Now follow my command! [over PA.]
Surrender now! There's no way out.
You had to know they'd be waiting for us.
Well, obviously.
I may be free, but we have to give them some sort of consolation prize.
Your services are no longer required.
[GROANING.]
When you recover, you'll be the GDF's problem.
Not mine.
Clear! Find the control room and secure it.
The Hood and the Mechanic must not get away.
[MUSIC.]
[ALARM BLARING.]
Everybody out.
Now! Whoa! [GASPING.]
What a mess.
Call in the clean-up and recovery units.
No sign of the Hood or the Mechanic.
- It looks like they both got away.
- Hm.
So now we have two master criminals on the loose? I have a feeling it's about to get very busy for all of us.
- And we'll be ready for them.
- HORSE: I'm actually speechless.
I mean, look at me.
I got nothing to say.
I got nothing to say at all.
If you ask me now, I couldn't tell you.
