Oh, hi! Do you have
a favorite book
you like to read,

reads to you?
Well, this is mine.
It's all about
a little girl and
and a pony and

Kinda "Tigger'd"
we'd find you
here, Dar-buddy!
Oh, say. Isn't that
the same pony tale
we seen you eyeballin'
last week?
Sure is, Tigger.

Did you forget the story
already, Darby?
[chuckles]
No, Pooh Bear.
I just love
reading this book
over and over.
I get to imagine
what it'd be like
to have a pony
of my own.
Why did you never get
a pony of your own?
Well, a pony is really
hard to take care of.
It needs to have shoes,
and it needs to be watered
and groomed and brushed.
And if you want it
to learn tricks,
it takes a lot of work.
Huh!
Hmm.
Are you thinkin'
what I'm thinkin',
Pooh Boy?
That if trees
were made of honey,
you could drink
the leaves?
Um no.
That our Dar Buddy
really wants her
very own pony.
Oh. Oh. That was
my second guess.
And it's up to us
to get her one!

friends do, right?
You know, get ponies

This pony-making caper
has got to be a surprise
for Darby.
Meanin', we got to do it
on the down-low.

without Darby
knowin' about it.

we're on a case,
it'll ruin her surprise!

we search the Wood
to find a pony
for Darby?

somethin' tells me
we already did.

to work on that one.

you didn't notice,
I'm a donkey.

You got everything
a pony's got,

for pony-ing.

then I suppose
I wouldn't mind trying.

are we to make Eeyore
into a pony?

Liking the idea

See, I used to do a fair
amount of pony ridin'
back in my rodeo days.

Now, you want to make
this donkey into a pony,
well, it's gonna take
some more work.

ponies eat hay,
not thistles.
[groans]
Kinda chewy.
And's got to make
pony noises.
Ponies neigh.
- And whinny.

Whinny.
It's a sound
ponies make, there.

[sniffs]
Yep. Now you try.
[brays, coughs]
[braying]
Well, reckon
it's a start.
And lastly
but not least-ly,
he's gonna need
a saddle on his back.

- Well, so you can sit
on him, of course.

Let's saddle up
and give Dar-Dar
her new pony!
- [kazoo fanfare]
- [gasps]

[giggles]

I mean, Pony Boy.
[braying whinny]

so different
and sound
so different too.

Hundredy-Acre welcome to
your new pony!

Yes. And he's been
brushed and groomed
and watered
and, uh, shoed.
[chuckles]
And he does tricks too.
Show her, pony, formerly
known as "Donkey Boy."

[grunting]

[groans]

you've got to brush a pony?

for a ride, you see.
I'm a little big for Eeyore
to carry around.
[sighs]

I was kinda thinkin'
the same thing.

this kind of thing.
Here, watch.
Alls you've got to do
is mount up
a-biddy-boop!
and tell him "giddy-up."
[groaning]

It would appear
he's better at "giddy-down"
than "giddy-up."
Eeyore, are you OK?
Well, of course he is.
Look at him.
All Pony Boy needs is
a little saddle practice.
But, guys,
I don't want a pony.

Yeah, the way
you're always reading
that pony book.
But that's what makes
reading so great.
You can imagine
anything you want.
And that's what I like:
imagining having a pony,
not really
having one.
And besides,
I've already got everything
a pony could give to me:
Buster as a pet,
the three of you
as pals,
and the Sleuths to give me
all the adventure
I could ever hope for.
Oh. Well, then, um,
I suppose this mystery,
um, is history.
[chuckles]
[groans]

Kinda like to get back

[Rabbit chuckles]

[chuckles]

to make the crows go away!

[sobbing]

[horn blows]

Buster sure is.

- [barking]

I guess I'd better
slap my cap.

Let's go check the Finder Flag
and see where we're needed.

Looks like somebody
needs our help at

vegetable garden.

let us be off.
[chuckles]

Little play on words there.
Get it?
[chuckles]
- Oh, not really.
- [laughing]

Rabbit needs our help.

[all exclaiming]
[sobbing]
Just look at
my vegetables!
Those infernal crows
have pecked Pablo,
ravaged Ronald
and hollowed out
Hortensio.
Gee, I'm sorry, Rabbit.
I know how much
your vegetables
mean to you.
My scarecrow, Theodore,
simply isn't doing
his job anymore.
The whole point
of a scarecrow
is to keep the crows
out of a garden.
It appears
as if this
particular scarecrow
is keeping them, um, in.
- Exactly!
- [cawing]
You've got to get
those crows to leave
before they eat up
every last one
of my vegetables.
Oh, oh,
there, there, there.
I wonder why this scarecrow
isn't making the crows go away.
[blows raspberry]
How's a scaredy-crow
supposed to get anything done
just standing around
all day?
What Ra-Ra needs is
the movin', dancin',
bouncin' around the garden
kind of guy.
I think we should
change his face.
If he wasn't so friendly,
maybe the crows wouldn't
want to stay.
Hmm.
I believe the problem
is more in the crow
and less in the scare.
If we want
the crows to leave,
perhaps all we
have to do is ask.
[gasps]
Oh! I don't care how
you make the crows go away,
but I can't watch my vegetables
be pecked to pieces!
I need to lie down.
[sobbing]

let's get
those crows to go.
Right. Um,
how are we
going to do that,
exactly, Tigger?
By gettin' Rabbit's
scaredy-crow
movin', of course!
Which I think
we all agree
is the bestest idea
of all the ideas
we came up with.
- [whines]

while I get this mystery
historied.
[wind gusting]
Sorry, boys, but there's
a new Theodore in town.
- [laughing caws]

Perhaps it's time
I had a small chat
with our friends,
the crows.
Excuse me, crows.
I'm ever so sorry
to interrupt you,
but if you don't mind,
could you please,
uh, leave?
[cawing]

that is very
not what I meant.
[laughing]
It's OK, Pooh.
I know just what to do.
Wait here, Theodore.
I'm gonna get you
fixed up in no time.

That is to say it

[laughing]

been worse.
They could've thrown tomatoes.

Maybe the scarecrow's face
should look more serious,

that perhaps
I should have another
talk with the crows.
Only a bit of
a louder one this time.
Such as,
"Go away, please,
and don't be here."
Oh, for goodness sake,
what are you all doing?
in Rabbit's garden!
Go away now.
- [Buster barking]
- [ghost sounds]
- [squawking]
- Yes!
You're getting rid of
those insufferable crows!
- Yay!
- Wonderful!
- Goodbye.
- All right!
When we put all
of our ideas together,
it worked!
We made the crows leave.
Yes. I do believe
that teamwork is
the best work of all.
- Well, it certainly is.
- You said it!
- Wonderful job!
- [crows cawing]
[Pooh]
They're back.
Noproblemo, Pooh boy.
Alls we got to do is
stay here night and day,
runnin' and yellin'
and not sleepin'
and Oh.
We can't stay
here forever.
We have to eat and play
and solve other mysteries.
So does this mean
we haven't erased
Ra-Ra's case?
- [sighs]
- Not yet.
We still have to
figure out a way
to keep the scarecrow moving
and shouting without us.
Wonderful.

he asks.

This book is
all about bears.
There are books about ponies
and pirates and princes.
That's what makes
reading so great.
You can imagine
anything you want.
