[Theme music.]
[Suspenseful instrumental music.]
[Door closing.]
We just picked up unauthorised use of a computer on the security level.
RAYMOND: What level? CARSON: Red level.
Full data scan, interlocking with lnterpol and Federal satellite relays.
Luckily, the station she was using didn't shut down.
-And her access code was still entered.
-Her? RAYMOND: A clerk in R&l who's been with the firm less than one month making unsanctioned use of the security computer at 5:00 a.
m.
? Do you think she discovered our pIan to assassinate Sheik Fatasi at 2.
:00? All we have is her final search data.
She was linked to the military computers in Los Angeles.
She was calling up information on the A-Team.
-They're a military unit-- -l know about them.
This dangerous breach could mean she also knows about us.
-We can't be sure of that.
-Well, then let's be sure.
She was out of the building before it kicked back to security that someone was in the computer.
She must have been moving fast.
Which is probably why she left the computer on.
Find her, Carson.
Find her before she finds the A-Team.
RAYMOND: Find her before 2.
:00.
[Slow instrumental music.]
Hold it! You have to pay a toll or the Cookie Monster will eat you.
[Murdock growling.]
FACE: Come on, Hannibal.
Are you kidding me? Face, Decker's been crowding us.
Our last two supposed clients have been military plants.
l was lucky to spot them before they figured out l was Mr.
Lee.
Stop complaining.
You love all that greasepaint.
That's why you run them through the gauntlet.
To weed out the bad ones.
The odds are one will slip through eventually.
We got to get out of town.
Yes, but out of the country? No, not now.
l got a real good thing on the burner here.
Selling fishing poles, leaky canteens, and darts that don't even fly straight? Try this one, Hannibal.
lt just so happens that the Contessa Marascella and her lovely daughter Carmella like to come shopping here in the sporting goods department.
Man, l don't know why anybody would want to come shopping here.
Especially no princess.
They don't even sell good darts.
There are more important things in life, B.
A.
, than throwing darts.
Hannibal, now look, if l can hook up with the Contessa, l'm taken care of.
FACE: l'll be on her grouse hunting expedition for sure.
That way, l'll be out of the country for a couple of weeks.
And if Carmella's nice to me l can parlay that into an extended leave.
The longer we wait the greater the risk.
My plan is we get out of town as soon as l finish playing the Monster from Camp Runamuck.
Now, if the Contessa and CarmeIIa MarasceIIa don't invite you by the time l finish filming today you're out of luck.
We leave tonight.
Come on, Face, the three of us have had some great vacations.
And we'll pick a nice place.
Rio, Acapulco-- l spent the last three weeks peddling Pocket Fisherman flies, Happy Rudder inflatables.
l work my butt off to be salesman of the month.
'Cause that's who the Contessa requests when she comes shopping here.
Sorry.
HANNlBAL: Cheer up, Face.
lt's an annual event.
l'm sure the Contessa and her grouse will wait till next year.
Try this one, Hannibal.
-Nice, B.
A.
-Lucky.
The A-Team! You're really the A-Team.
l found you.
l'm Tawnia Baker.
You're Hannibal Smith, right? Faceman.
[Growling.]
Definitely B.
A.
HANNlBAL: We don't give autographs.
What's going on, Murdock? l've got some very important information for you.
Col.
Decker is after you.
Now, there's a hot flash.
He has men on the way.
They could be here already.
Who are you, Miss Baker? You want to trade information to get something? No, l'm just warning you.
l got the information from lntermode.
TAWNlA: Off their computer.
FACE: lntermode? Yeah, one of the world's biggest security firms.
They protect corporations, shy billionaires politicians, movie stars and lately some very important Arab oil magnates.
The point is you're in serious danger.
Right now.
-Captain? -That car parked at the end of the block l still feel funny about it, even though nobody's come or gone.
That wino keeps hanging around there.
He could be a recon.
He could call for backup any minute.
HANNlBAL: B.
A.
, go with Murdock.
Check out the street.
-l'm so glad you believe me.
-Believe you? Miss Baker if that's your name if you're telling the truth, l'd be foolish not to listen to you.
lf you're a military plant Decker tried to make you look good by putting some men up front to back up your story.
Either way, we've got military heat in the area.
She wasn't kidding.
She said when Hannibal started thinking, you took turns on two wheels.
''She'' wasn't kidding? Freeze, Smith.
[Tense instrumental music.]
l'm sorry, our store Santa Claus has gone for the day.
You'll have to come back if you want to tell him what you want for Christmas.
My Christmas present is you, Smith.
You have expensive taste.
All of you.
Hands up.
Miss Allen gets an overseas assignment you don't waste any time replacing her, do you? Decker! [Grunting.]
[Fast-paced instrumental music.]
They're not to get out of here! Radio the others outside! [Military instrumental music.]
[Suspenseful instrumental music.]
[Thudding.]
[Decker grunts.]
[Gun clicking.]
Way too obvious, Decker.
Let's do it, Face! HANNlBAL: Up! Now, you guys just hand your .
45s to the handsome gentleman right over there.
Aren't you gonna tell me l'm not gonna get away with this? Oh, l know you're gonna get away with this.
But there are only just so many times, Smith.
l like that, Decker.
Shows spunk.
We'd love to stay and chat about world affairs but duty calls.
Hannibal? Just his size.
l love it when a plan comes together.
Pin them! Don't let them get to the car! [Guns firing.]
MURDOCK: Want to play leap frog? B.
A.
: Not now! B.
A.
: Keep it together, fool.
Hop-hop to this little red car.
l got the keys here in my purse.
[Gunfire continues.]
Come on, man, hurry up with them keys.
l'm doing the best l can, B.
A.
B.
A.
: What do you carry all that junk for? MURDOCK: lt's not mine.
Everybody prone out! Weapons on the ground! Move it! MURDOCK: Where are the keys? HANNlBAL: All right, you just hang in there, Colonel.
lt took us 10 years to break Lynch's spirit.
Arrivederci! [Military instrumental music.]
DECKER: Fire! [Guns firing.]
HANNlBAL: They hit us pretty good, that time.
You guys are a real trip.
We can be a real mean trip, too.
You got a lot of explaining to do.
l'm telling you, l am a reporter.
l work for L.
A.
Courier-Express.
l know Amy Allen very well.
Which is very difficult for us to confirm on short notice seeing that Amy's in Djakarta right now.
Honey, the only lD in here is from the lntermode Security firm.
The name's Tawnia.
l told you.
l've been working undercover on a story there.
Using the security firm's computers to run a check on us in the early morning hours before work? Look, it was hard for Amy to keep denying her connection with you with all the stories she kept turning in.
Come on, you practicaIIy won her that foreign correspondent appointment.
Which you'd like us to do for you.
You could use someone who's not hot.
To work the outside for you like Amy used to.
[Tyres screeching.]
Come on, guys! Don't l deserve something for almost getting my tail shot off my car shot up? My car has been shot up.
l must admit, Amy would have been furious.
She's just shocked.
Hey, Face, that was a good idea.
Hiding my van with a bunch of used cars that night.
Of course it was.
Hannibal.
Listen, l've been thinking.
FACE: Maybe we shouldn't just cut her loose like that.
HANNlBAL: We don't need any more press.
Enough people know we're out there.
Yeah, but we're not too sure she's not a plant by Decker.
Now do you happen to think if l could invest a little time l might be able to draw her out.
Oh, l see.
You mean just the two of you over a quiet cup of coffee you could find something out about her? We're leaving town anyway.
-What you don't do for the team, Face.
-l know.
[Clearing throat.]
[Engine starting.]
Listen, you still want your exclusive? Hannibal said no feature stories.
On the team.
On an individual basis, we all fend for ourselves.
-Anything on the girl? -Nothing! l used the chopper to crisscross the city and see if l could pick her up.
No luck.
l'm heading over to her apartment now.
She'll either return there or come into work in a few hours.
lf she doesn't know we're onto her.
Be sure to have the helicopter in the shop by 1 200 hours to be refitted.
-This sanction will proceed on schedule.
-On schedule.
We'll either be back with the girl.
Or she'll be dead.
RAYMOND: We must be at the target at 2:00.
[Suspenseful instrumental music.]
So my friend who was working at lntermode thought it might make some kind of story.
Didn't you think maybe she was just bitter because lntermode laid her off? TAWNlA: Sure, l knew that was some of it.
But the part about the entire upper management slowly being replaced over a couple of months' time and all security personnel being adjusted cutting off access to certain areas that had been open until then it was enough to convince my editor to let me check it out.
What was going on in one of the largest private security firms in L.
A.
? And you really just wanted to get in touch with us? No.
But once l was there, l realised the full potential of their computer system.
l had the training on it to know l could tap into military records if they had the access.
Which, with their contracts with the government and other international security firms, would definitely do.
l figured why not kill two birds, right? Well, l must tell you, Tawnia.
l'm very glad you did.
lt shows you're a very determined and dedicated person.
l know.
-And l would like to get what l want.
-Me, too.
Like a story.
Well, let's get into that another time.
l thought you had a hard and fast rule about fraternising with members of the team.
But -you're not a member of the team.
-Yet.
But l'll bet you can see me as one.
Right now l just see you as a beautiful woman sitting on a very large couch.
l do find you very attractive.
What more could you want? lt's just with your situation and all what kind of relationship can we have? [Romantic instrumental music.]
[Face clears throat.]
Relationship? ls something wrong? Oh, no.
lt's.
You know it's getting a little late.
Maybe l better shove off.
We could pick this up at another time.
Amy was right.
TAWNlA: The word ''commitment'' can ward Templeton Peck off faster than a can of Mace.
Amy said that, did she? TAWNlA: The thought's hers, the phrase is mine.
Care to comment? [Doorbell rings.]
TAWNlA: Who is it? RON: Tawnia, it's me, Ron.
RON: l have to talk to you.
FACE: lt's Ron.
And at 7:00 in the morning.
What kind of relationship do you have with him? lt's Ron Graham.
He works at lntermode.
l met him two weeks ago.
RON: Honey, open up.
FACE: Honey? TAWNlA: l went out with him.
lt's part of the job.
Just a minute, Ron.
Let me throw something on.
He's used to waiting outside while you do that? lnstead of wising off, don't you think you should be getting out of here? That's a little difficult as we're on the seventh floor -and l left my hang glider at home.
-Just get out of sight.
Do you mind leaving my stuff alone, please.
Well, you told Ron you were gonna throw something on.
FACE: l'm just trying to be helpful, honey.
Don't mind me.
l'll be under the bed.
Coming.
TAWNlA: Lord, Ron.
What is it that it couldn't wait till l got to work? RON: l'm sorry, Tawnia.
l had to.
TAWNlA: Had to-- TAWNlA: Hey! What are you doing? RON: For God's sake, don't hurt her.
RON: You said you wouldn't.
TAWNlA: What do you want? What are you looking for? You had to throw something on, huh? A little late-night entertaining? [Muffled screaming.]
[Gunshots.]
[Tense instrumental music.]
[Grunting.]
[Grunting and groaning.]
CARSON: All right, let's go.
Come on.
TAWNlA: Do something, Ron! FACE: Yeah, Ron, do something! l can't.
You just don't know.
[Face screaming.]
[Coughing and choking.]
Takes a licking, but keeps on ticking.
lt was lucky there was a pool down there.
You could've killed him.
l didn't know there was a pool down there.
l'm fine, really.
l'm fine.
[Sighing.]
[Helicopter hovering.]
[Suspenseful instrumental music.]
[Engine starting.]
[People chattering.]
Excuse me.
This is The Monster from Camp Runamuck set, isn't it? Yeah, great.
Listen, where's the guy who plays the monster? Never mind, l see him.
Oh, boy, am l glad to find you, Hannibal.
Look, l'm sorry to come busting in in the middle of your gig here.
But they grabbed Tawnia.
Yeah, look, l think she's on the.
You know, you could just cook inside one of these things.
FACE: So, anyway, she was kidnapped from her place and me l was thrown out of a 10-story window.
Now, Face, you don't have to exaggerate to make your point.
FACE: l'm not exaggerating-- HANNlBAL: By the way are you sure it was guys from the lntermode? Hannibal, they were standing as close as you.
A guy who works there by the name of Ron Graham who she's been seeing, by the way.
And some crud named Carson who was very rude to me.
You know where they took her? FACE: lt was a little tough to hear.
l was listening to the chlorine ruin my clothes.
Our best bet is to start at the source.
We'll swing by and pick up Murdock and B.
A.
B.
A.
: l don't like it, man.
We don't even know for sure that they brought her here.
There's something about that building that says, ''Keep Away.
'' l concur with the Baracan one, Colonel.
That's a nasty block of steel and glass.
l mean, that building has got an attitude.
She's got to be here.
The lntermode people kidnapped her, they took her away in a chopper and there's a chopper pad on top of that building.
You did bring our secret weapon, Face? B.
A.
: Mike? Hannibal, you snuck Mike into my ride? Do you know what kind of risk you're taking doing that? l think we need to find the air conditioner main intake vent.
Face? Damn.
Smells like a winner.
[Face sniffing.]
Yeah, you definitely got a skunk problem here.
A lot of people don't realise how those wild ones can move down out of the hills and make themselves right at home.
These big air conditioning units here make a sound just like their mama's heartbeat.
Mike's? GUARD: Never used you before.
FACE: Well, we got a waiting list.
You'll see on that list, we got a call from a Mr.
Carson and then we were referred to a Mr.
Ron Graham.
I guess they had some probIems on his fIoor, too.
You got to tend to your multi-floor problem real quick.
These situations can get bad.
Real bad.
Now, the guys and l will have the place smelling like Hawaii before you can say Tiny BubbIes.
Graham's on five and Carson's on seven.
Take the elevator over there.
Keep cool now.
[Elevator bell rings.]
Where's Graham? Graham's the guy who stood and watched while two tight-collars tossed me out of a 10-story window.
Now, come on, Face, 10th floor? Listen, the trick is, even if you're gonna make up the whole story you've got to keep it within the borders of credibility.
-l kept the borders of credibility.
-You didn't keep it-- Hi there, remember me? Two-and-a-half gainer off a 10-story-high board? Send them a card instead, Ron.
-What do you want? -Same thing you guys do.
The girl.
[Gun clicking.]
Where is she? Nice view, Ron, but don't look down.
lf you don't cooperate, we're gonna be put off.
-Right, Murdock? -Oh, yeah.
You're not really gonna make us go through all that are you, Ronny-baby? Somebody order fried rice.
Somebody order egg foo young.
-Somebody got to pay for all this.
-Murdock.
TAWNlA: Face, l almost died when you went out that window! You almost died.
Murdock.
[Door shuts.]
RAYMOND: We must make the 2:00 deadline.
The oil delegation's already in town.
Need l tell you that our clock is running out on this Fatasi matter? CARSON: l've questioned the girl.
She knows absolutely nothing about the operation.
RAYMOND: Unless she's very good.
She's not a professional, Mr.
Raymond.
l'm positive of it.
All right.
We'll go on your lead, then.
Get the chopper back to the hangar and instaII the missiIes.
Once that's done, the guns will take no time.
lt'll be back and ready just when Sheik Fatasi's press party begins.
You boys are planning a busy day.
RAYMOND: Hannibal Smith.
The A-Team.
HANNlBAL: Where's the girl? l have no idea what you're talking about.
Well, then get one.
HANNlBAL: Tawnia Baker.
Carson here grabbed her out of her own apartment.
CARSON: You'll never get out of here.
HANNlBAL: Yeah? We got in easy enough.
HANNlBAL: We'll do the same thing backwards.
You might get off the floor, but not out of the building.
Security is state-of-the-art here.
Like that super chopper with missiles you got to blow away some Arab sheik? Now, Smith l know all about you and the A-Team.
RAYMOND: lt's my job to be up on such matters.
You are soldiers.
Mercenaries for hire.
ln our separate fashions, we're the same.
RAYMOND: For a fee, we provide a service.
Whatever Tawnia Baker has paid you to interfere in our operation l can outbid.
RAYMOND: Perhaps l can offer you jobs in the future.
l can always use some well-trained men.
Don't flatter yourself, Jack.
You and l are nothing alike.
You couldn't fill this building with enough money to get me to pull you out of a burning wreck.
But l would take you and this whole network of terrorism you set up and flush you down the sewer.
Just to see the kind of sound you'd make.
HANNlBAL: Well, there's Miss Baker now.
You see those two guys with her? They're with us.
Now, that's four holes in your security.
Pretty embarrassing, huh? [Alarm ringing.]
Man, that's what l call a button.
-What's the story? -lt's a dummy.
Above the fifth floor, you need an encoded security key for the elevators.
You people are warped, you know that? FACE: Come on, there's a stair here.
-When he said dummy was he talking to me? -Who else? RON: What do you mean-- FACE: Ciao, Ronny.
B.
A.
[Alarm continues ringing.]
Don't like jerks sneaking into my privacy, understand? [Military instrumental music.]
Face, Murdock.
This building is too weird.
Buttons scream at you, stairs talk to you.
-Hannibal! Where are you? -Seventh floor! Stay where you are.
[Guard grunting.]
TAWNlA: l don't know what to say to you all.
HANNlBAL: Save your breath.
You're gonna need it.
Go, Face! GUARD 1 : There they are! [Fast-paced instrumental music.]
GUARD 2: Let's get them.
[Guns firing.]
Go, B.
A.
! [Murdock clearing throat.]
FACE: That's probably there, where he hit that station wagon before breaking away.
The scratches are there.
Birch trees, you can tell by the texture of the bark.
Hey, didn't you guys see that sign ''lnquire Within''? What's the probIem? Can't you read? FACE: Look at that rear seat, it's gone.
That's probably what they used to prop it up before.
Yeah, Officer Block.
Officer Pratt.
You.
-Yes.
Spencer? -Yeah, sure.
You're cops, right? ROCKY: Something wrong? MURDOCK: Livermore P.
D.
And you could say that there's something wrong, Spencer.
l mean, if you've got a sensitive stomach.
Mr.
Spencer, this here vehicle is material evidence in a current case.
FACE: lt's a real ugly set of events, too.
-So, l'm afraid we're gonna have to take her.
-You're kidding me.
When do l get it back? Well, we got to do some spectral analysis.
You know, dust for prints, the whole nine yards.
-Which is how long? -Forty-eight hours, including travel.
Court order.
Spencer, sign right here.
And then sign these insurance transferral forms so that we can be on our way as soon as we can.
Wait a minute! You wouldn't want to be responsible for setting the Livermore Shredder free.
Just thinking about it makes me sick.
-Livermore Shredder? -Let's hope this thing puts that nutcase away forever.
-Come here.
-l had a potential buyer.
No, come here, have a seat.
Have a seat, right there for you.
Look, l wouldn't, if l were you, let any of my prospective buyers know that l was willing to sell them a thing with a stigma attached to it, like that.
Personally, l find that disgusting.
Personally, l do! l don't know what you think.
[Engine choking.]
MURDOCK: Face, l thought you said this was a state-of-the-art helicopter.
FACE: Murdock, Hannibal said he wanted a chopper, l got you a chopper.
[Rotors whirring.]
[Brakes screeching.]
l've crashed choppers in Nam that handle better than this thing.
-You're losing your touch.
-lt's a perfectly good chopper.
FACE: Anyone can see that.
B.
A.
: You call that a helicopter? That thing can't even make coleslaw.
What are you talking about? That is a perfectly good helicopter.
-lsn't it? -Well, Face.
However, when a superior pilot like myself is involved it's possible to coax flight from any and all objects with the right wind and weather.
Where's Hannibal? He's supposed to help.
B.
A.
: He said he stayed back to help Tawnia rescue the Sheik from danger.
Right.
Translation: He wanted to get out of some hard labour.
Hey, guys, let's to it.
The blue yonder awaits.
So does the Grim Reaper.
[Upbeat military instrumental music.]
MURDOCK: lt won't fly gracefully.
lt wasn't exactly a smooth flyer before we weighted her down.
Now it's gonna be like flying a Brink's truck.
Murdock, we must just persevere.
We shall make the skies safe for Mumsie, Daddy, and Buckingham! God save the Queen! At least give it a break.
FACE: Murdock, could we hurry up? MURDOCK: Sure, anything you want.
Hi, l'm here for the press luncheon.
TAWNlA: Excuse me.
Hello, my name is Tawnia Baker, L.
A.
Courier-Express.
A pleasure.
However, l will have a prepared statement on the subject of the oil agreement for all the press at the same time, so if you don't mind.
l understand, but that's not what l'm here for.
-Oh? -No.
l'm here to warn you.
There are men on their way to kill you.
Perhaps you should speak with my security men.
They can't help you.
l'm very serious.
How do you know this? TAWNlA: There's a helicopter that patrols your house, right? That's how they're going to do it.
-The helicopter.
-My security men will take this up with you.
[Suspenseful instrumental music.]
We've got to go inside.
Quickly.
First missile ready? First missile ready, sir.
Execute.
[People screaming.]
[Fast-paced instrumental music.]
There they are! [Guns firing.]
Evasive action! Then take them out! There they are.
lt's not palatial, but it's safe.
-How did you people know? -We're just in the right line of work, l guess.
FACE: Hit it! B.
A.
: [On radio.]
We made the pickup.
l read you, Sergeant.
Be at the rendezvous.
MURDOCK: Colonel, they turned around and they're coming at us.
Get out of the way, Murdock.
l got to reload.
Works for me, Colonel.
Now drop her down! [Fast-paced instrumental music continues.]
Keep on him.
That's Smith up there.
He won't get away from me again.
[Gunfire continues.]
[Explosion.]
Hang on, Colonel.
[Murdock whooping.]
[Helicopter roaring.]
Beautiful, Murdock! [Both laughing.]
Boy, talk about you guys just giving me the best story of my career.
TAWNlA: That was the paper.
They were going crazy over there trying to figure out how come the FBl was crawling all over the lntermode Security Building.
And you just happened to have all the answers.
Well, a lot of them.
Mostly, the part about an aborted attempt to assassinate a wealthy Arab oil magnate.
Ta-da.
And you no doubt filled in all the information.
l said some unidentified individuals managed to fend off the helicopter attack and save a great many lives.
lncluding that of this reporter.
l sure hope you spelled unidentified right.
You'd be amazed how many people get that mixed up.
How about F-O-O-L? That's an easy one.
The A-Team won't forget this favour, Miss Baker.
l don't think she's going to let us.
Hey, come on.
l think l handled my end of the deal extremely well.
See.
l was real convincing in the clutch with Sheik Fatasi.
And l kept my cool getting away from Col.
Decker and when you rescued me from Raymond.
And you think all this buys you a locker in our gym? Sound familiar? [Groaning.]
You can't tell me Amy would've done any more than l did.
l deserve the same chance she got.
Do you know how much my stock has gone up at the paper -Got to be going.
-just on this one story? Wait! TAWNlA: After l locate and warn you about Decker you're gonna walk out on me and disappear again? Just like that? HANNlBAL: That's right.
lf you'd get out of the way.
Face, what about you? Come on.
-Talk to them for me.
-This experience has been a little iffy for me.
l did the 10-story swan dive out of your window, remember? TAWNlA: Do l.
B.
A.
: Wait.
HANNlBAL: You got thrown out a window? TAWNlA: Didn't you tell them? l was just about to get around to that.
[Siren wailing.]
Decker.
You can tell us on the road.
-See you, Baker, and thanks.
-Hannibal, wait! Decker saw me with you.
He'll haul me off to jail.
You've got to let me come with you.
[Hannibal sighing.]
-We'll give you a lift.
-Right.
We can kick this around on the way.
Really get to know each other.
[Theme music.]
