All in the Family - Chapter 1
I normally don't think of myself as human.
But there're a few times during the year where I almost feel at home with them.
Almost.
New Year's Eve.
People take this night and do what their baser urges demand of them.
It's the one night people do whatever it is the rest of the year they're too afraid to do.
To find release.
Well, I don't have fear.
I do understand the need for release.
To do the will of my darker urges.
But unlike most of the rest of the world, I feel no guilt for giving in to my dark passenger.
No regrets.
No shame.
Humans pay penance for their shame and regret by offering new year resolutions.
Promesses made to help them feel better.
They are all lies.
Resolutions they will break.
I however do not fall prey to breaking resolutions.
Or codes.
It's the only way I know how to survive.
