I Am Georgina (2022) s03e01 Episode Script

New Country, New Team

1
Darlings, I'm back on Netflix.
[rhythmic music playing]
Life has led me to another new country.
[presenter] Welcome to Saudi Arabia,
Georgina Rodríguez.
[Arabic music playing]
[Georgina] My family and I
now live in Saudi Arabia.
You're crazy, huh?
[Georgina] And a new football club
has welcomed us with open arms.
[crowd cheering]
[Georgina] What's more,
I've had the opportunity
to attend the most important events
in the world of sports and fashion.
And I've met some incredible people
I never would've imagined meeting.
[music intensifies, fades]
Sixty percent of my models are walking
for the first time in their lives.
I am a little nervous,
but that's our secret.
I've managed to achieve
one of my childhood dreams.
Now I'm making my own decisions.
And I love what I do.
[all excitedly] Georgina!
He told me I'd be doing
the next campaign for Guess.
- Are we ready to work today?
- I am ready always.
Whatever I do, I do with passion.
- [Sergio] All right!
- [all laughing]
[Georgina] I'm building my own future.
Another dream come true in 2024.
I've always wanted to have a beach house.
- Villa Perla.
- It's perfect.
[Georgina] My eyes speak for themselves.
I feel inspired and inspiring.

When Cris told me
he was going to Al-Nassr,
I felt so relieved because I really wanted
to leave Manchester.
We had a bright future ahead of us,
and we were super motivated.
[upbeat Arabic music playing]
[Georgina] I was so happy
to come to Saudi Arabia.
But it was all happening so quickly
that we had to move
into a hotel the first month.
In the beginning, I had some ups and downs
because we'd never experienced
a long-term hotel stay like that.
There were days
I didn't want to see anyone,
but the excitement
That's what mattered the most.
And, I have to say,
everyone made it much easier.
JANUARY 3
[stadium murmur]
WELCOME, RONALDO
[Georgina] The day Cris was introduced,
I spent the morning
unpacking everyone's suitcases
and selected my look.
And I dyed my hair a little bit darker.
The look for the children and Cristiano,
we had them all pressed, and, um
We had to order some shirts for Cris
because no white shirts
were packed at all.
No, I'm pretty sure I forgot all his shoes
and the shirts if I'm not mistaken.
So I had to get someone to go buy shirts
and dress shoes on the day.
Because, whenever I pack for Cris,
I forget to pack his shoes.
I said, "Wear the gray suit
with the white shirt."
We left for the stadium.
- [fan 1] Cristiano.
- [fan 2] Cris, Cris.
[fan 1] Cristiano is the best. Number one!
[man over PA] Cristiano Ronaldo!
[crowd cheering]
[presenter] Ladies and gentlemen,
Cristiano Ronaldo!
[deafening cheers]
It's true, I was on the pitch, uh
when he won the Champions in Cardiff.
And when he received the cups
with Real Madrid
after winning LaLiga and the Champions.
But in those moments, the crowd
doesn't have their eyes on you
because there's the other players
and their families,
and they're holding the trophies.
Now, ladies and gentlemen,
we are pleased to welcome
on the pitch Cristiano's family.
Welcome to Saudi Arabia,
Georgina Rodríguez, Cristiano Junior,
Mateo, Eva, Alana, and baby Bella.
And this time, you could see
that the entire stadium's eyes
were just on us.
It was the first time we'd brought
all the kids on the pitch,
so I was nervous for the kids
because I didn't know how they'd react.
And for me,
it was hard since I wasn't used to it.
And, I mean, I was nervous
for how it would affect the children.
And I can remember the knot in my stomach.
It was terrible.
But Georgina nervous?
You can only imagine.
Come on, you guys.
[tumultuous cheering]
You feel this adrenaline rush.
It's tremendous. It's incredible.
To get to feel just like the players.
All of those people's eyes
focused right on you.
Me and my family,
we want to say thank you, all of you,
for this support, for your welcome
And we're gonna give our best.
Thank you. Thank you, everybody.
[crowd cheering]
Eva, Alana, and Mateo
had never been there, on a pitch.
So the truth is, I was really nervous.
But, despite that, I was still able
to feel that there was this connection.
On both sides.
Both for us and the fans of Al-Nassr.
[ecstatic cheering]
[Georgina] I went house-hunting.
Right away, I fell in love
with this house we're in now.
We were so excited
the day we finally got it.
And I'm so grateful for all we have.
My days in Riyadh are very busy,
and I'm very happy.
And there aren't enough hours
in the day, to be honest.
I wake up and have coffee with Cristiano
before he leaves to go train.
That's when I go do my training.
[vibrant music playing]
I'll tell you one thing.
I'm fit, but I'm still a little fat.
[giggles]
[upbeat music playing]
Then I do a little work
or some things around the house.
You know, stuff like that.
Sometimes, I need to be alone,
and in those moments,
the most incredible ideas
pop into my head.
[music continues]
[Georgina] I spend time
with Bella, and then,
I'm running off
to go get the kids from school.
Yay, school!
Mateo. Just watch out for the car.
[Mateo chanting] I brought the cleats.
I brought the cleats to play well
- Careful, Eva.
- I scored two goals!
I still scored two goals myself!
Alright, you guys, backpacks.
Eva, your bag.
- [Mateo] Red cards.
- [Georgina] Come on.

[Mateo] Red cards!
Come on, let's strap in.

- [Alana gasps]
- Ah.
Yeah, I got stickers
because I did phonics.
Well I did well with numbers
and with those
- [Eva] I finished the hard stuff.
- The letters.
So they gave me this one here.
[Eva] Hey, mom, later, after we get home,
are we going to do ballet?
- Because I want to.
- There's gymnastics or ballet.
- Which do you want?
- First gymnastics. And then ballet.
Whoa, what's in here?
There's one.
Those are SARs.
I'll take these ones.
But make sure to put them
in your room later, okay?
