- You can do that?
- Well, technically yes.
But no. It's impossible.
There are so many layers of security.
Firewalls, redundancy systems.

Hmm. What are you even doing?
Tracking the hacker.
You still haven't found him?
Which is completely understandable
and not at all a comment
on your abilities.
Maybe you need a palate cleanser.
Like coming up with
some sort of algorithm
to predict when our
arsonist might strike.
A, that's not how algorithms
work. B, waste of my time.
C, you shouldn't be looking for fires,
you should be looking for
the potential for fires.
Sadly, there are just too
many good places to set aflame,
so Kate created a theory matrix,
which is really just
an Excel spreadsheet.
But you shouldn't be looking
for opportunities, you should be
looking for preparation.
It's not that easy to start a fire.
You need tools. Fuel, for one.
That's it.
There was a report on the theory matrix
about a gas truck that was
stolen from a parking lot.
I know. It was empty.
You can't start a fire
with an empty gas truck.
But you can bring it
back to the fuel depot.
Which has thousands
of gallons of gasoline.
Homework is fun.
Brilliant. You should probably
go there now, like immediately.
And-and put my sign back as
you close the door behind you.
Okay?
What's the new guy doing?
CHASE: Sam Hanna is not new.

SWIFT: And these men
where are they from?
BOOM-BOOM: Oh, based off their
personal effects and the equipment,
I'm guessing Russia.
- Former military.
- Tracks with the tattoos.
And since they were able to breach
our convict plane and get away
with their target in under six minutes,
I'd say they were special forces.
So, whoever took them
out were equally skilled.
Rival gang maybe.
What does that look mean?
It means they disagree with you.
BOOM-BOOM: Yeah, it's
just, based off the wounds,
the shooting pattern, scuff
marks on the cabin floor
You're looking at one perpetrator.
BOOM-BOOM: And he came
from inside the boat.
SWIFT: So, you're suggesting the
Chemist did this to his own men?
No, it's impossible. He's a
scientist, not a professional killer.
What does that look mean?
Guessing it means they
disagree with me now.
Okay, look, the killing on
this boat was brutal and fast,
but nothing about it
speaks to professional.
BOOM-BOOM: Two of
these men were stabbed
multiple times, and I'm pretty sure
the other two ended
up shooting each other,
trying to take down the assailant.
CHASE: First one died
instantly. But the last one
he died slowly.
Someone tried to disembowel him.
Tried?
It was crude, but effective.
This just doesn't sound
like our missing chemist.
So, there was a stowaway
who killed these men
and took our chemist.
Any idea where they went?
I'll find out.
You on a union break?
Studying the terrain. What do you see?
Two sets of footprints.
One clean, one bloody.
Came from the boat.
Stopped right here.
So, they had a vehicle.

Something that can go off-road.
If it was big enough to stop

There was a report on the theory matrix
about a gas truck that was
stolen from a parking lot.
I know. It was empty.
You can't start a fire
with an empty gas truck.
But you can bring it
back to the fuel depot.
Which has thousands
of gallons of gasoline.
Homework is fun.
Brilliant. You should probably
go there now, like immediately.
And-and put my sign back as
you close the door behind you.
Okay?
What's the new guy doing?
CHASE: Sam Hanna is not new.
Been with OSP in the L.A.

Okay, so what's the

CHASE: Oh, hard to say.
My guess would be some

Perhaps the Wuji stillness practice.
Clearly, sounds like he's from L.A.
SWIFT: And these men
where are they from?
BOOM-BOOM: Oh, based off their

I'm guessing Russia.
- Former military.
- Tracks with the tattoos.
And since they were able to breach
our convict plane and get away

You're looking at one perpetrator.

from inside the boat.

No, it's impossible. He's a
scientist, not a professional killer.
What does that look mean?
Guessing it means they
disagree with me now.
Okay, look, the killing on
this boat was brutal and fast,
but nothing about it
speaks to professional.
BOOM-BOOM: Two of
these men were stabbed
multiple times, and I'm pretty sure
the other two ended
up shooting each other,
trying to take down the assailant.
CHASE: First one died
instantly. But the last one
he died slowly.
Someone tried to disembowel him.
Tried?
It was crude, but effective.
This just doesn't sound
like our missing chemist.
So, there was a stowaway
who killed these men
and took our chemist.
Any idea where they went?
I'll find out.
You on a union break?
Studying the terrain. What do you see?
Two sets of footprints.
One clean, one bloody.
Came from the boat.

So, they had a vehicle.
Yeah, but they didn't go for the road.
