There's things out there that defy explanation.
First A return to Virginia City, Nevada, where a frightening entity Creepy.

And led Amy to prescribe a drastic cure.
I never even heard you say that word before.
Then There are ghosts in this house.
We travel back to Blackshear, Georgia.
Where unspeakable terror invaded a family's home My daughter sees a ghost girl.
And the reveal - That drove Amy to the edge.
- I'm sorry.
There was a girl that died here.
Did they follow Amy's advice? I told you there were ghosts in this house.
There's something down there.
My name is Amy Allan.
A lot of dead people are here.
I see dead people.
This is not good.
I speak to dead people He is very pissed off.
And they speak to me The house is angry.
But there's only way to know if my findings are real.
He's killed people.
I rely on my partner.
I'm Steve Di Schiavi.
I'm a retired New York City homicide Detective.
He got shot at his house? And I know every person, every house has secrets.
Aren't you terrified being here? It's my job to reveal 'em.
That sounds like something out of The Exorcist.
But Steve and I never speak We never communicate during an investigation.
Until the very end.
It's bad.
And we uncover if it's safe for you to stay I'd like some answers.
Or time to get out.
Virginia City, Nevada, just a half-hour outside of Reno, was like stepping back into the Wild West.
Amy and I were called in by a woman, Debbie.
Who worked at a museum called the Mackay Mansion.
She was afraid she and her coworkers were in danger.
Debbie was depending on Amy and me to find some answers, and hopefully save her from quitting her job.
So, Debbie, what's going on here that you needed to call us in? Well, I'm a tour guide, and we seem to be having some, unusual activity happening here.
And it's getting more and more frequent.
We're hearing things.
We're seeing things.
Object are moving, and it really scares me.
I called Amy and Steve, hoping that they could give us some answers.
Because I can't keep bringing people here on the tour if this is what's gonna happen.
Are you concerned for your safety? Yeah, because I don't know who or what it may be, what it wants, and And it just makes you feel like it What it wants isn't gonna be good.
The moment I got into town, hundreds of dead people began talking to me.
So I'd say that this town is pretty freaking active.
I immediately knew this would be a really intense walk.
I just see a lot of dead bodies all over the place.
It's really bad.
So, Debbie, what's going on in here? Well, a lot of people have reported seeing the spirit of a little girl up here.
So one night, some friends and I decided to come in here and make contact with her.
Amy and I have dealt with a lot of clients who've tried to contact the dead.
I just kind of said, you know, if you're here, can you give us some kind of sign? It never turns out so good.
And this toy box right here, the lid, all of a sudden comes falling down.
This blanket that's right here starts going up and over this guy's shoulder.
All on its own.
He's sitting right in front of the toy box.
As soon as I entered the house Wait a minute.
I felt a really strong energy on the stairs.
There's a little girl Who runs around the place.
I want to say, like, 7.
Death is a difficult concept for living kids to understand.
For dead kids it can be like a playground, where they have abilities they didn't have in life.
She likes to jump on things.
She likes to hide in things.
She's in the wardrobe, and you hear little People Would get nervous from this.
Out of all the witnesses I've interviewed, Valerie was clearly the most shaken up by what she'd seen.
I hated bringing her back to the spot that terrified her, but I needed to know exactly what happened and where.
What happened on the tour? I hear what sounded like footsteps.
And I just happened to glance over, and I saw this Tall, shadow man.
And he stopped, turned around and looked at me With these evil-looking, glowing eyes.
While I was talking with Steve outside on the gazebo, all I could see was the shadow man's presence outside, just watching me.
Watching my every move, and I was terrified.
Valerie, after this thing disappeared, what did you do? I dropped to my knees and started crying.
I was very hysterical and very scared.
I couldn't move.
I couldn't talk.
I couldn't breathe.
I couldn't do anything.
It just hit deep inside my soul, and I froze.
A lot of the activity here was taking place outside.
And as soon as I left the building, I was confronted by a huge figure.
Oh, there's a big old guy, a pretty tall dude.
Uh, you know, he likes to kind of freak people out, you know? I wasn't sure if this entity was harmful.
But I did know his abilities to affect the living were really well developed.
Big guy is not so nice.
He works really hard at at being seen.
I had nightmares.
I want to face my fears, but at the same time, I'm scared to death of what may happen next.
What he might do next.
- Coming up next - Creepy.
Amy encounters a vengeful woman.
She doesn't have a soul.
And in our second investigation, we return to a house that's attacking this family.
There was someone stomping like they were mad.
But did they listen to Amy, or are they paying the price? There was something really strange going on in Virginia City, Nevada.
One client was so scared, she was ready to quit her job.
The other one traumatized by the dark figure she saw.
I knew my investigation had to start with the man whose name was right on the building at the center of all their problems.
What can you tell me about John Mackay? Well, he was an Irish immigrant who came to America in the early 1840s.
Uh, he was broke and had to work in the mines at $4, um, a day.
And became one of the wealthiest men in the world.
What can you tell me about Mackay's family? His wife Louise he adopted her 4 or 5-year-old daughter.
That, um, had a disability.
She had to wear braces on her legs.
Um, but he was wonderful and and treated her as his own.
There's a little girl.
She's a bad girl.
Like, she likes to scare people.
I could tell this little girl just needed attention.
Unfortunately, the way she went about it was freaking people out.
I mean, she is just playing, but she's out of control, you know? She looks healthy, but she wasn't.
Mackay definitely seemed to achieve the American dream, but no story is perfect.
Money has a way of creating its own relationship problems, and Mackay's marriage was no different.
They wanted different things.
He was a miner, and you can tell that he loved her but, she just felt that this was not the town to be in.
She enjoyed the finer things, so she decided to move to Paris.
Lots of yelling here.
A lot of yelling.
And it's between a woman and a man mostly.
What about the man? What is his relationship to her? They're married.
She leaves a lot, traveling.
She's a nasty She's a nasty, nasty lady.
It took me about a second to dislike this woman.
And it was obvious she felt the same way about me.
She's cold.
Physically, like, just she's right here.
_.
She's destructive.
She doesn't have a soul.
She's empty.
Back in the 1800s, Virginia City was a major mining town.
And Mackay was a miner, so I knew I had to look into that.
I spent hours searching through articles on mining-related deaths in the area.
And then I found something that happened just yards from the Mackay Mansion A homicide.
Julia Bulette was a prostitute that was murdered in January 20, 1867.
She was a very well-loved and, uh, famous prostitute.
The motive was robbery.
All of her belongings, uh, were taken.
What do you know about the actual physical damage to her? She was found laying on her left side in the bed.
Um, and she had two, uh, blunt force traumas to the head.
And then she had a pillow placed over her face.
Was somebody arrested in this case? Yes.
There was a gentleman named John Milleain who was arrested.
Okay, was he a local? Um, no.
He was a French drifter.
There was a guy around here.
He was killing ladies.
This one lady he killed was He, like, didn't live here, uh, or anywhere around here.
He'd travel all over.
He was Like, a roamer.
He was Crazy.
I saw a lot of negative entities on this walk, but out of all of them, there was one I felt was most dangerous.
Her hair is dark.
Eyelashes are dark.
Just as we were getting started, the lady with the icy touch showed herself across the room.
She was demanding that I draw her the way she wanted to be seen.
She is really angry, and she wants to look a certain way.
I didn't think the way we were sketching her was flattering, but that's exactly what she wanted.
Is this who you saw? Yes.
- Next - He looked very scary.
Amy delivers shocking news.
I've never even heard you say that word before.
And She should not be here.
Will it ever be safe to go back to the Mackay Mansion? Are you gonna listen to what Amy says? When I sit down for a reveal, it's the very first time I meet the clients.
Steve caught me up on the encounters Debbie and Valerie were experiencing.
Unfortunately, I had some bad news to deliver.
We were just so anxious to hear what they were gonna tell us.
Maybe Amy could tell us about her walk.
I saw this Nasty lady who was Extremely angry.
And she was yelling at her husband.
Um, she apparently had Had a much better lifestyle before she moved here.
And she was missing that.
That was one of those moments where Amy just nailed it.
I explained how Mackay and his wife Louise had a rough relationship.
And the marriage wasn't really much.
I mean, she spent most of her time in Paris.
But it wasn't until I revealed the photos of Mrs.
Mackay That Amy really put the pieces together.
Uh Oh, I see that look on your face.
What is it? Um, well, actually, I sketched her.
You girls look at this.
Not a happy lady.
It has the same scowl look.
There was that intense anger in the eyes in the sketch.
That really surprised me.
That was a bit of a shock to see that.
Amy, what else did you see? A young girl.
She is very ill, but she doesn't look it.
And she's pretty active.
Louise Mackay, she was a widow whose husband had died.
- They had a young girl, a daughter.
- Oh.
And the daughter had braces on her legs.
John Mackay adopted her as his own.
Amy, did you see this girl's face? No.
She wouldn't let me.
So far Amy and I had a lot of matching information.
Then she starts talking about the shadow man.
And that's when the reveal took a really dark turn.
I saw this really tall Dark mass.
And this individual Really likes to scare people.
The hair on the back of my neck stood up.
I had this chill run down my spine.
I just started crying.
Are you all right? At the tour This tall, dark shadow man Turns around and looks straight at me with these evil-looking, glowing eyes.
Valerie was shaken up by the shadow man.
But in my opinion, she was worried about the wrong entity.
Both of you have seen the results of the investigation.
The reason you called us in is because you want to know if it's safe or not to be here I can't answer that.
Only Amy can.
The man that you saw in the yard cannot hurt you.
He's just a practical joker.
I looked over at Valerie, and I remember reaching over and kind of grabbing her hand and squeezing it, thinking it's gonna be okay now, we're gonna be all right.
The best way to approach this is not to fall for it.
I was so relieved.
I knew then that I could confront my fears.
Uh, the girl.
Um, she should not be here.
She needs to go on.
The best way for her to do that would be for another medium to come in To talk to her.
And then the other one is this Nasty lady.
She just does not need to be here.
The only problem is, that would have to be done by an Through exorcism You know, Amy, I never even heard you say that word before.
Amy's gotten on my case for misusing the word exorcism.
So when she said that was her recommendation, I knew this was serious.
She does need to leave.
But it needs to be done by someone who will make sure that she Moves on, not out.
- Yeah.
- There's a big difference.
Let me ask you a question, though.
Are you gonna listen to what Amy says, and what to do? Amy told us that we needed to bring in a medium, and she said it really needed to be someone who knew what they were doing.
So I called in Marlene, who came through the house Cleansed it, and did an exorcism.
Angels of protection, Angels who clear I went through a cleansing process.
I went upstairs, and I called on One of the archangels to come and take the little girl's and Mrs.
Mackay's spirits.
And take them to the other side.
Since Marlene came in and did the cleansing, we haven't had any activity.
Now this is the parlor area.
I absolutely feel safe giving tours here again.
I don't worry about any of the people we bring here being scared anymore.
Mrs.
Mackay is gone at this time.
That doesn't mean she can't come back.
It's good that Debbie has followed my advice.
But I want to be clear.
An entity that powerful can survive an exorcism.
It's very possible that one day the spirit of Mrs.
Mackay Could find a way back to the place she calls home.
Just outside of Savannah, Georgia, is a small town called Blackshear.
It was the rural south, and I was definitely out of my element.
Amy and I were called in by a woman named Carol, who was having some violent experiences.
She was worried for her family, most of all her daughter with special needs.
All I can say is if I had any doubts about the paranormal before, I don't now.
Well, Carol, thanks for inviting me to your home.
- It's beautiful.
- Thank you for coming.
We've lived in the house for eight years and, ever since the day we moved in we've had some strange activity going on.
There were times I became very frightened in the house.
And we needed answers.
I wanted to know who all was here.
What's going on? We've been hearing noises Having things being knocked off the tables and the walls.
My older sons they won't even stay here by themselves if we're out of town.
Now if I lived in a house where things were flying off the walls, I'd be out the door.
And from what Carol told me, the last guy to live there felt the same way I did.
Well, Carol, did the previous homeowner say anything to you? No, um, as a matter of fact, he Sold us the house with everything in it, all of his possessions.
He probably left 500 Angels here.
Every room of the house, even the bathrooms, there were Angels everywhere you looked.
If you're gonna collect something, why leave it? Sometimes when the dead really want my attention They'll contact me before I arrive at a location.
I have some dead girl with me.
Last night, uh, she kept trying to creep in my bed.
This girl was so desperate to communicate, she actually came to my hotel room the night before my walk.
So she Is very angry.
She's like 17.
She wanted someone to listen to her.
Nobody [Bleep.]
listens to her.
Next, evil entities reveal themselves in the attic.
Bang! And did these terrified parents take Amy's advice? Amy tells you to do something, you should do it.
On Dead Files Revisited.
Amy and I investigated a home in Blackshear, Georgia.
Where Carol, the homeowner, had some really strange experiences.
I took my dogs out to go to the restroom one morning, and when I came back, um, this cabinet door had been completely ripped off the hinges.
It had not been like that when I left, and there was no way anyone could have gotten past me to have come in the house.
There was no one else home.
It really scared the daylights out of me.
This angry girl was upset and needy.
When I walked into the kitchen, I realized she was also violent.
I see That she can open the cabinets.
Pretty sure she actually broke dishes.
She takes the dishes, she throws 'em on the floor.
She's throwing them on the floor.
Taking this fl Throwing them on the floor.
- Where is she? - Oh, she's right over there.
Carol had done some research and found a photograph of the family who built her house.
One of the daughters, Pearle Taylor, actually died there.
What Carol told me next made me concerned for the whole family.
We have a daughter named Melanie who has Down Syndrome.
And she started telling me that there was a ghost girl in her room.
And she told me that her name was Pearle.
Carol, how does Melanie know her name? Because the apparition has told her that her name is Pearle.
Melanie, I was talking to mom, and, uh, she said that you see a ghost in your room? Yes.
Okay.
Do you know her name? Yeah, her name's Pearle.
- Pearle.
- Yes.
- Okay.
Does she talk to you? - Yeah.
If I showed you the picture, can you point her out to me? - Yes.
- Okay.
Show me who the ghost is.
When I do my walk, I have no idea who lives on the property.
But one thing was clear inside that house.
The angry girl was desperately trying to make contact with whoever lived there.
When you're entering, like, you know, the first level of sleep And she wants to be really close to you And she'll, like, put her face right in your face, and, like, move.
She likes to be able to make you see her then - Okay.
- And talk to you then.
I interview so many men who say, nah, I don't believe in any of that paranormal stuff.
Then they describe a bunch of crazy experiences they can't explain.
Carol's husband was no different.
What have you experienced in this room? When I go to bed, I lay my phone and my glasses on my nightstand over there.
And several times after discussions with my wife about paranormal activity and Where I stand as far as my beliefs, I've heard it slide across the nightstand and hit the floor.
So it's as if you're mocking it, so to speak.
That's exactly how it makes me feel, and that's the That's why I don't like to talk about it in the house, because every time I do, something happens.
I've always been the skeptical one.
Any time anything would happen, I would try to explain it away.
At some point you got to realize there's things out there that, you know, defy explanation.
Have you heard any other noises or anything else? My wife and myself and Melanie were downstairs having dinner.
You could hear someone stomping like they were mad, and bam, bam, bam, doors slamming.
- And nobody was up here? - No, nobody was up here.
I was drawn to the attic by the sounds of little children playing.
But when I got up there, I saw something much worse.
There's two men.
They do things to the people here.
Like what? Bang.
Bang! Like, bang! And it, like, shakes the whole room.
Bang, bang, bang! They hate people who sleep in that room.
Coming up next Steve unlocks the mystery that claimed a young girl's life.
That's a horrible death.
And Amy encounters tormented souls.
It hurts.
It hurts so bad.
It hurts so [Bleep.]
bad.
Our clients in Blackshear, Georgia, were terrified for their daughter Melanie.
Who said she was being visited by a dead girl named Pearle.
Show me who the ghost is.
At this point I needed to find out more about this girl Pearle.
All our client knew was that Pearle had burned to death in that house more than 100 years ago.
Chief, thanks for taking the time to meet with me.
But according to the local Fire Chief, there was a lot more to this story.
On Saturday August 27, 1910.
The 16-year-old daughter of George Taylor, Pearle Taylor.
Was, um, involved in an incident where she was trying to place a kerosene lantern onto the mantel of the fireplace.
When it dropped and exploded and caught her on fire.
Did she die immediately? She actually survived until the next morning.
You have to understand that third-degree burns actually burn the complete skin layers off.
She wouldn't have been recognizable.
That's a horrible death.
She died at night, and she looks really weird.
Her body is all beat up.
It's all broken.
And it hurts.
It hurts so bad.
It hurts so [Bleep.]
bad.
Experiencing that girl's death was extremely painful, emotionally and physically.
This is the reason physical mediums tend to live shorter lives.
We absorb too much suffering from the dead.
Dark, dark, dark.
It hurts so [Bleep.]
bad.
After learning about Pearle's death, I needed to know more about her and her family.
Luckily, one of Pearle's descendents still lived in the area.
Pearle was, uh, 16 years old.
The next day, she was about to go to college.
And back then, 16 years old was very unusual For a person, much less a woman, to go to college.
Obviously we know how bad it was for Pearle, but what about the rest of the family? Obviously, she was the apple of her daddy's eye, because she was very talented, very smart.
If your child died burning, and you sat there for six straight hours and watched 'em in pain and death, I mean, could you ever recover from it? There's another man.
He's tall.
He's wearing a suit.
He says he's carrying all this pain.
- Why are you whispering? - I don't want him to know.
_.
At this point, I felt there might be a connection between this man and the angry girl who suffered a painful death.
When someone doesn't know they're dead, it can be because they've suffered a traumatic death, or someone they love did.
When you grew up and you visited the house, did anything strange happen when you were there? Yes.
Pearle has some trunks with her clothes in them.
And grandma Taylor would not let anybody open those trunks.
And then in 1981, after my grandfather's death.
My father, mother, and me and some other family members, went up there and pulled the two trunks out.
And we opened the trunks.
And right when I popped open the trunk, all of a sudden, just out of nowhere, a lightning bolt, thunder just came out, boom.
There's a lot of other people that are upstairs, and they're like, oh, [Bleep.]
what are we gonna do, what are we gonna do? Lots of 'em died.
I wasn't sure why there were so many dead people upstairs.
But at the time, that wasn't my biggest concern.
I felt that the man who didn't know he was dead really needed to move on.
And the only way I could help end his pain was to show his face to our clients.
He was tall.
Probably between 40 and 50.
He has a very thick mustache.
Would you describe the lower part of his nose as being - Square.
- Turned up? Amy, you think this, uh, bears resemblance to the person you saw? Yes, it does.
Next, the reveal takes a dramatic turn.
I told you there were ghosts in this house.
Did this terrified family follow Amy's advice? Amy tells you do to something, you should do it.
Amy and I have done a lot of reveals.
But this one was without a doubt our most intense up to that point.
One of the big issues Uh, is they have a daughter with special needs that seems to be getting targeted.
With that, I'm gonna turn it over to Amy, and she can tell us what she found on her walk.
Sitting down at the reveal, I had a big sense of anticipation.
Because I knew Amy was the real deal.
And I really wanted to find out what kind of danger my daughter is or isn't in.
The first thing that I encountered was a girl.
And she doesn't feel like she's being heard.
That's why she's been acting out.
She opens and closes the cabinet doors.
She didn't understand how she died.
It was a quick, fast, traumatic thing.
She really wants to talk.
Carol, you're visibly upset.
What's going on? Amy just described exactly what my daughter sees.
Being able to have Amy say, yes, that there's ghosts in this house.
And describing Pearle exactly how Melanie sees her, it vindicated both of us.
We discussed that you had thought there was a girl that - Died here in this house.
- Yeah.
And it was true.
George Taylor, who built this home in Her name was Pearle.
Pearle burned to death in the house here.
Oh, my God.
She was carrying a kerosene lamp.
Oh, my God.
It somehow fell, and she burned beyond recognition.
I got a picture of her.
This is Pearle.
She lingered for, like, seven hours.
I don't normally do this, but I opened before the reveal.
And that left me vulnerable to the emotions of the dead around me.
You all right? Pearle took advantage of this and joined us in the room.
The more we talked about her, the more upset she got, and the more I felt it.
I'm sorry, I'm very upset right now.
Oh, my God.
I told you.
All these years, I told you.
I told you there were ghosts in this house.
And it was that point when I just looked at him, and I felt like shaking him and saying, see? You've got this person that is telling you the same thing I've been telling you, the same thing Melanie has been telling you.
There are ghosts in this house.
What just happened? The girl was under the table.
This this girl here? Yes.
She is very angry, and very emotional.
She's going back and forth between knowing she's dead and not knowing she's dead.
So, Amy, what else did you encounter? The, suicidal man.
Absolutely does not know he's dead.
Let me give you a little background about George Taylor.
George Taylor was Pearle's father.
He died in this house, and he died suddenly.
That sounds like the man I sketched.
This is George Taylor.
Pearle's father.
That looks just like him.
It really does.
With Amy coming in not knowing anything about the history of the house.
It certainly caused me to open up and accept the possibility that there's things out there that I just don't understand.
There are things you need to do.
You have to contact a priest.
The priest needs to come and do last rites.
Okay? And then you have him do a funeral speech.
And then a house blessing.
Those entities needed closure to understand they were dead.
And I believed holding a funeral was the only way to do that.
I will tell you this, if Amy tells you to do something, you should do it.
Immediately after the investigation, I was prepared to take Amy's advice, no matter what.
But my husband was not.
I knew Robert wouldn't do it.
He just didn't think he would feel comfortable.
I had concerns about going to a Catholic priest and having him look at me like I was crazy.
But over time, the activity we've had here in the house has become progressively worse.
We finally did what we needed to do.
We had a priest come in, and he did the steps that Amy had talked about.
He gave a funeral speech and basically asked the people here to move on.
For those who have passed their life here, it is now time for you to depart into the light.
Leave those who herein live Carol, Robert, and their family, in peace.
We wish you to go on.
To be at peace, to be at rest, amen.
Now that we had the ceremony Uh, I hope that all the dead that are in this house can can go rest in peace.
I'm so glad that Carol and Robert finally took my advice.
Despite so much tragedy surrounding their house, I'm confident that these blessings will help Pearle and the others move on.
A second look at some of Amy and Steve's most terrifying cases.
- New information.
- Everything was true.
Startling revelations.
There's things out there that defy explanation.
First A return to Virginia City, Nevada, where a frightening entity Creepy.
- Threatened a woman's life - I am scared to death.
