LAPD SWAT officers arrested Diego Perra,
hiding out in an abandoned building
east of downtown.

"Cheryl Bradley, see statement."
"Jason Swift, see
girlfriend's statement."
Didn't they see the same thing?
That's what the beat cops assumed.
So, nobody talked to Jason Swift.
Let's go.
Camera probably moved
before we canvassed it.
You can't find what you can't see.
All right. So, what else is
out there that we don't have?
We have Perra's timeline.
But not his whereabouts
between the bar and the murder.
- All our bases are covered.
- No. Not all.
[Pike sighs]
What else is it that you want?
Anything that can either
support or negate this video.
What did Perra drink
at the bar? How many?
What time did he leave?
Did he go somewhere either
before or after the murder?
We've worked all that ground.
Rework it.
We need to undermine this video.
Perra's already confessed
to the previous robberies.
Guys, we cannot
simply ignore this video.
Now, I realize I'm asking for the moon.
So what else do you need to get there?
Extra paralegal.
Maybe two.
I'll give you four, but get going.
When the gunman demanded his money,
how did Detective Robertson react?
Put his hands up, went for his pocket,
said, "I'm reaching for it."
His pocket?
His back pocket.
- Could you show me?
- Yeah. Uh
Like, uh, reaching for his wallet.
You're sure it was that side?
Hundred percent.
Did Detective Robertson make
any kind of threatening moves?
No, sir.
He said, uh, "Be cool."
And the guy just shot him.
Got a thread.
Need to see the crime scene photos.
Robertson had his hands up,
reaches for his wallet
which was in his back left pocket.
Gun's on his right. So's his badge.
Which Perra could've seen.
So why does a guy who's never shot
anyone in any of his previous robberies
gun down a cop on this one?
You got me.
[Bosch] Let's see that aerial photo.
Only one camera had
a line of sight of the murder.
Murder book says camera was BO?
[Bosch] Broken order.
It wasn't working.
- Can you describe his behavior?
- Ah. Jittery. Trying to stay cool.
Can you give us his description?
I'll do you one better.
Look familiar?
Nestor Gomez. We worked this clown up
for one of the follow-home robberies.
Vics couldn't give an ID,
but given he's trying to hock their
stolen watch, I'd say he's good for it.
What else?
We pulled over a blue CR-V a while
back registered to a Nestor Gomez,
but he wasn't driving.
A Victoria Hernandez was.
We had to let her walk with a ticket.
Girl got IDed by that studio owner,
selling stolen goods.
A month ago. Nestor has stolen goods
right now, so why not roll him up?
We do, Victoria goes to ground.
Other triggerman too.
Nestor Gomez is not
the brains of this operation. She is.
So what do you guys wanna do?
Get up on her phone, rattle her cage,
see who she sings to.
We obtained a new video.
Every second of Perra entering
the Maven Bar right up to his departure.
And more witnesses.
So the bartender said he had
three vodka tonics over two hours.
Hardly enough to be stumbling drunk.
We also have intermittent video of Perra
driving in the direction of his home,
and after that,
a pit stop at the crime scene.
And nothing to indicate he was DWI.
And Stallworth's video?
We didn't know about that camera.
Neither did Perra.
And it doesn't exonerate him.
It incriminates him.
The new evidence is intriguing,
his alcohol consumption in particular.
But I don't think it's
enough to win over a jury.
I have tried over 90 cases.
I know what a jury will buy.
