The Amazing Race Canada (2013) s03e06 Episode Script
Who is Alex Trebek?
1 Jon: Previously on the Amazing Race Canada.
Here we go! Jon: Eight teams discovered Quebec's gorgeous islands, Ãles-de-la-Madeleine, where teams were tested with every challenge imaginable.
Brian: Road block.
Face off.
Neil: Detour.
Kristin: Double U-Turn ahead.
Oh, my god! Brent: This is the night from hell.
Jon: These islands were no paradise for Neil and Kristin.
(Screams) (Siren wails) This is really painful.
I can barely walk.
(Sobs) Jon: Or Simi and Ope.
I'm so tired! Jon: Who were both bit by the cold and chose to take penalties.
I don't think I can do this anymore.
It's a huge risk.
Both: We're going to take a penalty.
Face off.
Gino and Jesse claimed the top spot making them this season's first two time winner.
(Cheers) When Simi and Ope were last to check in You are the last team to arrive.
They were stunned with a big surprise.
This leg of the race is not over, ladies and gentlemen.
You got to keep on racing.
And it rocked teams at every check in.
(Laughs) Now all eight teams will keep on racing to win a year of travel for two in business class anywhere in the world that Air Canada flies.
The 2015 Motor trend Truck of the Year.
The Chevy Colorado.
Gas for life.
Canada's gas station: Petro Canada.
A quarter of a million dollars.
And the Amazing Race Canada.
(Dramatic instrumental music) synced by dom.
smrc Hustle up, boys! Bring it in! Jesse: Jon! Gino and Jesse, this leg of the race ain't over.
Here's your next clue.
Keep on racing, fellas.
Oh, my god, alright! When Jon hands that clue over we know we've just got to power through it and keep on going.
(Paper tears) "Make your way to Sudbury, Ontario.
" (Boat horn blares) Jon: Teams must now travel by ferry to Prince Edward Island, where they will fly to the heart of the Canadian Shield, Sudbury, Ontario.
With more than 300 lakes inside the city limits covering 600 square kilometers, this is a nature lover's paradise.
It's no wonder Sudbury is known as one of the happiest cities in the country.
The race is still on so now we're on our way to the ferry.
Being brothers is definitely an advantage.
Jesse just knows me like no one else.
I'm sure there's other dynamics in the race but there's none like ours.
We're unique.
Hey, props to that one.
That's right.
"Make your way to Sudbury, Ontario.
"BMO is here to help "and you have $620 on your Cash Back World Elite MasterCard "for this leg of the race.
" The other teams are seeing us as very competitive.
We're the complete package.
- Yeah.
Our goal is to make first place.
It's go time, true.
True.
For the past four legs we've finished in third place, proving that wrestlers aren't just big, dumb stupid people.
Surprise, it's continuing.
(Chuckles) (Boat horn blares) That's us.
Ask.
Where do we pay to get on? We want to go to PEI.
Yeah, tomorrow morning.
(Boat horn blares) Our ferry boat leaves at 8:00 a.
m.
tomorrow morning.
Everyone's going to stop for the night.
This race it's not over.
We have another life.
This is our second chance leg.
The first half of this leg was exhausting.
Oh, my god, I'm so weak.
So I'm really happy that we have a chance to rest and recuperate so that the muscles feel better and we're ready to race the next day.
(Boat horn blares) Jon: All teams are now traveling via ferry from the Magdelen Islands to Prince Edward Island.
Once there, they will drive to the Charlottetown airport.
Earliest flight to Sudbury, Ontario.
There you go, thank you very much.
Jon: All teams are now flying via Toronto to Sudbury, Ontario.
When they touch down, teams will load into their Chevrolet Trax and travel to the neighbourhood of Copper Cliff to find the Vale Mining Company.
Here they will line up and wait for the miner who will give them their next clue.
Chevrolet Trax.
Ope: Go, go, go! Cynthia: Get in.
Brian: Punch it, chewy.
This is a race.
We're not taking a chance so we're making sure we're first at the Vale Mining.
Gino: I see it, Vale Mining.
Meet here at 10 a.
m.
Line forms here.
Alright.
Our day starts awesome.
We're at the mine in second place.
Morning.
Dujean: We caught up.
Kristin: 10 a.
m.
(Whistle blows) Hi! Welcome to Vale.
(Bell rings) (Paper tearing) "Descend over one kilometer below the earth's surface.
" Jon: Nickel is one of the most versatile metals in the world, and Vale has been digging for this precious metal for over 100 years.
Based on their order of arrival, teams will suit up in protective mining gear, then two teams at a time will load into this freight elevator.
And descend over one kilometer below the earth's surface.
Once deep inside the mine, they will find this freshly drilled pile of ore, choose a piece, and break it open, looking for a nickel pellet.
Once they find the nickel they'll receive their next clue.
Because we arrived first, Kris and Neil, and Jesse and I go down first.
I'm nervous.
We're all suited up, and we get in this mine shaft that goes 1.
3 kilometers deep in the ground.
Down.
(Beep) Whoa! This is crazy.
Whoa! It's crazy.
It's like entering a totally different world.
Whoa! That's it, that's it! Neil: Right here, right here.
Jesse: G, what one are you thinking, this one? Gino: Yeah, I like that one.
You going first? Yeah.
Whoa, sparks! For this challenge we have to find a piece of ore that has nickel inside of it.
Switch! Let's grab this one.
Ow! Ex-boyfriend, ex-boyfriend.
That's right.
Kristin: This is hard.
Oh! Neil: Next! Good luck, guys.
All: Thank you.
(Beeping) Oh, wow, look at that.
Okay, I can't look at that.
Watch your step, guys.
(Thudding) Oh, I see one.
Oh, yeah, I got it.
Good job, guys.
Gino: Thank you.
How did they get it? Gino: Good job, buddy.
Kristin: Those bozos.
Oh, they got it.
(Laughing) You've got to be kidding me.
Their luck has got to run out eventually.
Nailed it.
It's just a nickel, the big nickel.
(Bell rings) Nothing screams Sudbury like the big nickel.
Standing 30 feet tall and two feet thick, it's the world's largest coin, and a symbol of the wealth that Sudbury has contributed to the Canadian economy.
Once teams find the big money, they'll find their next clue.
Let's go to the big nickel, okay, to pick up the clue? Come on, Dad.
Neil: There it is, Kris.
(Bell rings) Good job, guys.
Both: Thank you.
There's a rock.
There you go.
Nice.
You got it.
(Bell rings) (Paper tearing) Let's go to the big nickel.
Let's go to the nickel! Follow them.
Alright! It feels good swinging a hammer.
I just hope we find this quick.
Good job, guys.
(Paper tears) Oh, big nickel.
We're in Sudbury, the big nickel, let's go.
That's it right there.
See the big nickel? Okay, let's just go right through.
(Paper tears) There's a detour with a fast forward.
Let's do this.
Yeah, we're going to do the fast forward.
A fast forward gives one team the chance to skip all the tasks and go directly to the pit stop.
And to complete this fast forward, teams are going to need a steady hand and a strong stomach.
(Bell rings) Teams will make their way to Science North, a science center that educates more than a quarter million people each year.
(Trumpeting) Once here, they'll assist the feeding of a Blanding's turtle.
Native to Ontario, this half-shelled hero is a species at risk, and feeds on a diet of meal worms, crickets, and super worms.
But what the racers don't know is that when the feeding is done they will receive their very own plate of worms and crickets to eat themselves.
The first turtle and team to eat all three plates of critters will win the fast forward and can go directly to the pit stop.
Mm.
We received a fast forward clue so we're first place.
We might as well go for it.
Go for it, yeah.
Here it is! It's straight ahead.
We're coming! Come on, Dad.
Brian: There's the box.
(Paper tears) Both: Fast forward.
I'm not doing it.
The boys have already gone.
Gino and Jesse had about a 10 minute head start on us and there was not a chance in hell they weren't going to go after it.
Detour.
A detour is a choice between two tasks, each with its own pros and cons.
In this detour, teams will head to Laurentian University and experience Sudbury's diversity firsthand.
It's their call, synchronize or analyze.
In synchronize, teams will have to master the graceful art of synchronized swimming.
Yo! (Water splashing) Teams will find the Jeno Tihanyi Olympic pool located on the Laurentian University campus.
Here they will work with the members of the Sudbury to master the art of this water ballet.
This Olympic sport requires strength, endurance, timing, and coordination.
When their performance is perfectly in synch, the coach will give them their next clue.
Woo! In Analyze, teams will have to cross the yellow tape and investigate the scene of a crime.
Teams must find the forensic training facility at Laurentian University.
It's here that students and law enforcement from all over Canada learn the art and science of crime scene investigation.
Here, teams will suit up and process this 3 x 3 crime scene.
Within it, they must first locate 10 pieces of bone and teeth, and then mark each piece with an orange flag.
Once all 10 pieces have been marked, they must take the precise measurement of where each piece of evidence is located within the 3 x 3 plot, and carefully graph each piece to scale on this evidence sheet.
Precision is the name of the game, and even the slightest miscalculation in measurement will result in a fail.
Once all the evidence is correctly mapped out and recorded, the lead investigator will give them their next clue.
And teams must be careful, as this is a limited stations detour.
There is only room for four teams at any one time Let's do Analyze.
Analyze.
Guys, only four teams can do it.
It's a pretty simple choice for Brian and I.
Cynthia and I are both police officers.
It's, like, hey, no problem.
Our goal is for the teams not to see us being a super-threat.
We're not going to tell the other racers what we do.
We're going to have an undercover mission.
Analyze I think we say Analyze.
Okay, let's go.
"Welcome to Science North.
Look for the Wetlands exhibit.
" We are going to feed the turtle.
Hi, welcome to Science North.
Thank you.
We get to the station, we see a display of how to actually feed a turtle.
Which one? This guy's moving.
Okay, yeah, here's our boy.
Okay, let me get this.
Cricket first.
Come on, buddy.
If this turtle doesn't eat every single individual worm and insect We're in trouble.
Look, Sean, there it is.
Good eyes, Brent, good eyes.
We won't do the fast-forward.
Let's do Analyze, then.
Okay.
We have to go.
Cynthia: There's the university.
Brian: There's the sign.
We're playing cops today.
I hope we don't mess it up.
I don't know the first thing about policing.
Yeah, no kidding.
What is this? - Crime scene stuff.
- Let's just move it.
- This is like the stuff they wear on TV.
Jump suits.
Theme of the day.
Okay, let's go report for dirt duty.
Our task is to analyze a crime scene.
As a police officer, preserving a crime scene to obtain evidence is the utmost importance.
Here's a tooth, here's a tooth.
You want to be precise and you have to be exact, because when it comes to court, you want a snapshot of the truth.
Kris: The professionals are here, ma'am.
We're here to help.
How about we go to this one over here, Dad? Oh, look, there's a tooth! There's bone there.
Precision.
We're doing this right the first time.
Let's get our flags in.
It's funny, because the bones also look like wood.
"Blah blah blah.
" Oh, Kris is so loud.
I know.
She's very annoying.
This task requires full concentration.
This is cool! It's kind of like being in a library and somebody won't stop chattering really, really loudly.
(Singing) Solve some crimes.
Breaks your concentration.
(Groaning) See that? That's a tooth.
This one's a little more analytical than most of the stuff we've been doing.
3, 5, 4 Doing all the physical stuff was getting us third.
If you're kind of plateauing in something, then you need to try something different and shake it up.
Okay, so now we have 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 down, right? Yes.
Sabrina: Big nickel.
"Detour.
We're going to do Analyze.
Looks like we're at the place.
The big nickel! Let's get to it.
I really want to do I'm not a good swimmer.
We've got to Analyze it.
Can you swim at all? I can't synchronize swim, that's for sure.
We're going to go with Analyze, okay? I can't swim.
Swimming is definitely not one of my strong points, so if I can avoid it, I would.
Come on, buddy.
Okay, go, go worm.
Oh, yeah! Whoa, that was crazy.
This guy.
Yeah.
He's eating like a champ.
Now this one again.
We just want to get out of here as quick as possible.
Ew, these things are disgusting.
Dare you to eat this.
And this is your lunch.
Are you serious? I'm serious, yeah.
I don't even know what those are.
Maggots or something? - They're called super-worms.
- Those are disgusting.
There's so many of them.
Worms, super-worms, a cricket.
And these are for us to eat.
I don't know if we can do this.
Oh, man, this sucks.
And this is your lunch.
Are you serious? I'm serious, yeah.
Oh, man, this sucks.
Just let me focus on doing this and I'll eat those after.
We decide that one of us will continue feeding the turtle while the other one starts pounding down all the insects.
I wish I had some, at least, some salt and pepper for these things, you know? It's mind over matter, and for the race, I'll eat anything.
Now Jesse decides to eat every single worm and insect one at a time.
Not me.
You're going the whole mouthful? I'm going the whole thing, man.
Ugh, that's Great strategy.
Done.
What does the address say first? "Drive yourselves to Laurentian University.
" We don't know where that is.
We lack communication to start, and when we try to navigate, we end up wasting more and more time.
Laurentian University? Take Kerr Street.
Awesome.
Leilani, keep your eyes peeled.
I hope there's not four teams there already.
Another team's running in.
Oh, it's Sean and Brent.
Ouch! Okay, we'll try and figure it out.
We look at what we have to do, and we don't really get it, and then we see all these other teams that were way ahead of us that are still here.
Should we honestly switch this, do you think, and do the synchronized swimming? I say we switch.
We need to find out where we're going.
"Analyze, Can you jog a little bit? Here, here.
Let's go.
Only four teams can do this at a time.
We're hoping to get to the Analyze before it's filled up.
Come on.
Let's go.
This is it.
Hello.
All the crime scenes are occupied.
We get that final spot.
Now I'm getting a little bit scared.
Do you want to wait? Should we go check the other detour? Come on, let's go.
We have to see Let's see who's on the other side.
Okay.
Let's go check.
What do you mean, go check? I didn't put anything.
I am 10 years older than Nicolas.
She's 32.
- Yes.
And I'm 22.
What am I going to go check? Didn't you just do it? You told me to help you.
(Chipmunk laughing) But honestly, age doesn't matter.
After you get to know someone and you see how well we just get along, you know? Why do you have to complicate your life? I'm not complicating.
It's like this.
This is here.
Bottom line is just let your heart guide you.
Yeah, for sure.
I just started marking them.
Okay, cool.
- A little calm.
There's ten things here, and we've marked ten.
Okay.
Job done.
Check.
- Check, please? (Buzzer sounds) You have not completed the crime scene correctly.
Okay.
I have no idea where we're going wrong at this point.
You know what, Brian, it doesn't hurt to re-measure them.
Put it right in the middle.
Put it right up against it.
1, 2, 3.
Aha.
I think we did a great job.
Checked it and double-checked it.
I hope we solved it for you.
(Buzzer sounds) You've been unsuccessful.
Have we now.
Okay, well We don't know which piece of evidence is wrong, so we have to go back and start all over again.
(Imitates alarm sounding) We've got a new crime scene! I'm killing my father! (Sighing) (Cheering and applause) Immediately, we're like, good choice.
We have a crowd of people cheering for us.
So we're going to teach you a routine in the shallow end, and then you're going to swim it with the actual synchronized swimmers in the deep end.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8.
This challenge is difficult not only to keep synchronized, to remember all the steps 1, 2, 3, 4.
and what numerical beat to do them on.
Everything was counted in eights.
1, 2, 3 (Blubbing) 8, 1 (Splashing) Not so much? When we eat all the insects that we have to eat, we still have to finish feeding the turtle.
One more.
Come on, Jess.
Finish her off, brother.
Come on.
Yeah! - Yeah! Thank you so much.
Jon: Because Gino and Jesse won the fast-forward, they can now skip all remaining tasks and go directly to the pit stop.
Here at the Bell Park Gazebo, teams will find three members of the Sudbury Symphony Orchestra and the pit stop for the sixth leg of the race.
The last team to check in here may be eliminated.
Oh, I can't believe I ate a cricket.
You got this, G? Yep.
(Tires screech) What are you thinking? I don't like this one.
Let me do it again.
We both have skills that are really helping us out in this challenge.
I'm pretty good at searching and spotting things.
Matt's really good with numbers.
1.
2.
And we're ready to go for a check.
Congratulations.
- Oh my god, I love you so much.
"Drive yourselves to the Sudbury Outpatient Center "at Health Sciences North and search for your next clue.
" It seems that the pro wrestlers might have a second career in crime fighting.
Okay, let's try the whole thing.
We've been practicing with our coaches, and we just think we may as well just go into the deep end and do it with the girls.
(Upbeat jazz music) (Splashing) (Record scratching) (Whimsical incidental music) (Applause and whistling) Sorry, not quite there yet.
(Coughs) (Coughing) Dad? My dad cannot swim.
Hey.
I thought it was going to be in the shallow water.
I am not capable of doing this.
I think it's best that we go back to the Analyze and hope for the best.
That's okay.
There's still hope, dad.
Did Simi and Ope leave? Steady as a rock, dad.
It says right there Analyze.
Ahh.
(Ominous musical sting) I have no idea what I'm doing.
I guess we should switch.
How terrible a swimmer are you? I can't swim.
Because I can't swim, I'll have to take control of this detour and complete it as fast as possible.
Just mark them down, okay? Ope: Go, go, go.
Move, move.
At this time, all the crime scenes are occupied.
Simi: We know that we're in last place and now there is no place for us.
Ope: This, obviously, is trouble.
Ope: Go, go, go.
Move, move.
At this time, all the crime scenes are occupied.
We will wait.
Let's just wait.
55.
We've verified that there's 10 exhibits.
We've marked 10.
Hey, honey, I think we've got it this time.
We would like to check.
Get ready.
(Ding) Congratulations.
(Slam) If the other racers knew what we did for a living, they'd probably think, what kind of cops are you? Okay, so this is where we start, right? This one here.
We finally get a spot.
I just want to get it done A lot of people are still here.
So there is hope.
(Splashing) Sorry, not quite there yet.
Maybe this is going to be a lot more challenging than what we even thought it would be.
Just a rest a minute.
Health Science is north.
There.
(Ripping) Road block.
Who's got heart? A roadblock is a task that only one person can perform.
In this roadblock, that person must join the fast-paced world of the ER.
Pulse check.
Here in the Health Science North (Unclear) lab, teams experience high-pressure emergency scenarios learning how to save lives in hospitals all over the country.
After learning CPR from an instructional video, one team member will have to enter a life-saving situation where they will be required to correctly perform CPR for two full minutes on a state-of-the-art computerized mannequin.
If they fail, they will receive a report card detailed where they went wrong.
Once the patient's vital signs are stable, this doctor will give them their next clue.
I'm good for it.
"Become a medical student and correctly perform CPR.
" Wouldn't you know it? Nick is a certified CPR instructor.
Damn it! (Unclear) Do you want to come in here.
Can I get some help? I don't have a pulse.
You need to start CPR right now.
The room was very intense.
The doctor's screaming, there's a mom crying.
Nurse: On two, three.
Doctor: Can I get surgery in here.
It's set up to perform chest compressions for two full minutes.
Doctor, I see no air on the left at all.
Doctor: Okay.
Matt kind of looks like Dr.
Evil right now.
It's pretty tiring.
So you can stop CPR.
The patient is in v-fib.
We're going to shock.
(High-pitched whine) Charging to 150.
I'm sorry.
You need to practice your CPR a little bit more and come back.
Okay.
Compression rate is, I guess, a little bit too slow.
And the recoil, I guess I didn't let the chest come up enough.
So, that's all right.
We know what to do for next time.
Here, right? Left? Bell Park Gazebo.
Okay, let's go.
(Door slams) Jon: Bring it in, boys.
That's a wrap.
(Clapping) Boys, I know I don't need to, but let me introduce you to Alex Trebek.
I'd like to welcome you to my hometown of Sudbury.
That's amazing.
Thank you.
Alex Trebek is at the pitstop and we couldn't be happier.
Jeopardy, baby.
Boys, you're team number 1! Yeah! Both: That's big.
Gino, Jesse, as the winners of this leg of the race, Air Canada is flying you to any of their California destinations.
(Laughing) That's only half of it, fellas.
Petro Canada is giving you 5 million Petro points that you can redeem for a full year of free gas.
Wow.
Oh, my goodness.
I think the other teams are realizing we're here to take it.
We're here to win.
Okay, we're going to go again.
(Splashing) (Gasping) You did it.
Congratulations.
(Applause) (Ripping) "Drive yourself to Sudbury Outpatients.
" Thank you guys.
(Applause) (Brakes squeal) My face is so tight from the chlorine.
Yeah, my hair looks like a mess.
Want to try? Yeah, let's.
(Buzzer sounds) Check? (Buzzer sounds) I'm so over this! I'm thinking happy, friendly thoughts.
Yes, please.
(Buzzer sounds) Unsuccessful.
Kristin: Now I know why people are dead here.
It's because they do this challenge and they can't succeed so they die.
Measure on top.
(Unclear) I believe we solved the crime.
(Dinging) Congratulations.
Yes! Did they get it? I don't know.
It doesn't matter.
Let's go.
We left three other teams at the challenge so we're not going to be last.
Woman: Going to get ready to do a rhythm check.
We're at two minutes.
(High-pitched whirring) (Beeping) All right, I feel a pulse.
Congratulations.
That was excellent.
Here.
Thank you.
"Drive yourself to the Living with Lakes Center and canoe to the Bell Park Gazebo to find Jon at your next pitstop.
" Jon: Teams will now drive to the Vale Living with Lakes Research Center.
Once here, teams will have to paddle on kilometer across Ramsey Lake to the beach at Bell Park where they will find the pitstop for the sixth leg of the race.
Let's go, let's go, let's go.
I have to speculate Gino and Jesse went to the fast forward.
I hope they didn't in a way because maybe they tried to go swim.
In that scenario, we're in first.
We'll keep our fingers crossed.
(Ripping) Road Block Who's got heart? Ah, it'll have to be me.
(Reads words on screen) Right on.
I know my wife.
She's going to knock this thing right out.
Before being a police officer, I was a paramedic for 13 years so I'm very comfortable with anything to do with medical.
Land mark.
Land marking 12th rib.
It will be the diaphragm.
Oh yeah.
Ma'am, we're doing everything we can for her.
Everything we can.
Stop CPR.
Shocking to 150.
(Loud steady beep) Still in ventricle fibrillation.
Yeah, there it is.
Who's got heart? I think me.
- You.
Okay.
I want to get this right.
I want to get this right.
You never know who you might have to do it on, so.
I'll do it until I get it right, for sure.
Can we get some help in here? Yes.
Sean gets sick when he overexerts himself so I hope he doesn't end up throwing up on the patient.
I'm giving it everything I got.
Doctor: Stop CPR.
(High pitched whine) Let's get ready to shock.
(Beeping) I'm sorry.
That was an excellent CPR.
Okay.
(Breathlessly) Oh, this is intense.
Soon he's going to become too exhausted and then he's going to collapse and someone is going to have to perform CPR on him.
(Chatter) One two three.
Back off.
(High-pitched whine) You need to go back and practice your CPR.
Come back when you're ready.
What the I do not know what I am doing wrong.
I don't think Cynthia is doing anything wrong there.
It looked very good to me.
Can I get some help in here? Yes.
I want to see some good compressions.
Stop CPR.
(High-pitched whine) (Beeping) We got a pulse back.
I was a paramedic once in my life but I didn't do compressions very often.
Thank you.
That was frustrating.
(Ripping) Who's got heart? I do.
Quick, quick, quick.
Do you want to measure now from right here instead of pulling on the outside? We could do that.
Like, that's the only other thing I can see to change.
So let's try it again.
Please observe.
(Dinging) Oh my god.
You silly girl, you tricked me.
Congratulations.
Two teams behind us so hopefully that will help us.
Should I turn here? (Unclear) next.
I'm looking for the Living with Lakes Center.
Thank you very much.
We wasted about 20 minutes at least.
There's canoes.
How did Matt and Nick just get here? Those guys must have got lost, eh? Go, go, go.
Faster, dude.
Are you in? No.
Those guys are all over the place.
Stroke, stroke.
(Frantic chatter) He's doing better this time.
(High-pitched whine) Doctor: Shocking.
Shock delivered.
(Beeping) (Gasping) Congratulations.
What you do is outstanding, though, truly.
Warning; Last team to check in may be eliminated.
We're going to power through this.
Brent: Yeah.
Welcome to my hometown of Sudbury.
Nice to meet you.
I did not know that.
That's pretty cool.
Nick and Matt, boys, you're team number two.
(Sighing) (Chuckling) We made ground.
Jon: How's that feel? Better than three where we've been sitting.
Race safe.
We'll see you at the next stop.
Matt: Thank you.
Good luck, guys.
Nick: Thanks very much.
It's great to be in second place but we've been sniffing first and it's frustrating because we're right there.
It's really starting to bug me.
Thank you for having us.
You did well out there.
Thank you.
Brian: and Cynthia, you're team number three.
Okay, I'm going to measure, you're going to graph.
Dujean has been measuring.
We've done it six times.
Every time it's wrong.
I'm going to take control.
Let's try it again! Congratulations.
Ah! Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Oh, they got it.
Well, at least we're not last so we've got to book it.
Yeah.
Everybody left, love.
It's just so disappointing that again we're last place.
Okay, give me the tape.
Let me measure it.
Let's see.
42 and 31.
What did you have? And how did you get 35? Yeah, 31, 32.
Maybe it's that one.
Hello.
(Bell dinging) Congratulations.
Oh.
We're currently in last place and we hope that somebody else got lost.
She's really hard to bag, Dr.
Anderson.
You've been going for two minutes.
Let's stop CPR.
Pulse check.
Clear! Shock.
Nurse: Shock delivered! (Beeping) Oh my god! That was outstanding CPR.
(Bell dinging) Thank you! Congratulations.
Oh! Being able to do this on my second attempt feels pretty darn good.
I'm a Doctor! Roadblock.
Who's got heart? I'll do it.
Can you help me in here? Yeah.
I need you to start CPR.
The dummy's in tough shape.
Where's all that blood coming from? I know how he feels.
(Wailing) I'm sorry, that was not excellent CPR.
Really? Go and practice and come back when you're ready.
Holy moley! (Panting) Oh my god! (Laughter) Welcome to my hometown.
We were in a little bit of jeopardy there at one point.
Thank you for that plug.
No problem.
Jon: Brent and Sean.
Sean: Yes.
You're team number four, boys.
Oh! Hug, awkward hug.
Who's got heart? It's something medical.
You're better than me.
Why? Because you know stuff.
Excuse me, do you know where the Outpatient Center is? Five sets of lights down.
Thank you so much.
We're just battling to not be in last.
I walk in and Neil's there.
Dujean and Leilani are still not there.
We were the last ones to leave and Dujean and Leilani left like maybe less than 10 minutes before us.
Oh my god, we're not in last place, and I'm just hoping that Nic's going to do this as quickly as possible.
I need some help in here.
Can you come help me? Yes.
Okay, so keep bagging.
I want you to bag at a rate of 8-10, okay? Let's stop for a minute.
(Wailing) I'm sorry, that's not excellent CPR.
Oh my god.
I can't swim.
Oops.
Yup.
You're in? Yup.
Okay.
The thought of padding in an open body of water scares me half to death.
Oh! Oh! The longer I stay on this body of water, the more it's likely I'm going to freak out.
Oh-oh.
Ooh! It's okay, dad.
Are you okay? Jon: For more information on how to properly perform CPR, head to ctv.
ca/theamazingracecanada.
Oh-oh.
Oh! Oh! It's okay, dad.
The thought of paddling in an open body of water scares me half to death.
I have to block the thoughts from my mind.
I'm nervous about disappointing my daughter.
We've come a long way.
Let's just keep this going, please.
Oh, land.
Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh.
Look.
Ope: It's him.
He's your biggest fan! (Laughter) Oh good.
You guys are team number five.
Oh my gosh! You have just rode across a lake that I grew up on, Ramsey Lake.
And I understand that you have a great fear of water.
Was this last part today the most difficult for you? When I saw we were going to canoe it was like my heart sunk but we never give up.
I didn't want to let her down.
Okay, you made it here.
Yes.
And the relationship, father/daughter, I have the same relationship with my daughter, so I'm moved by what you did.
I love you.
Can we get some help in here? You got it! 120 beats per minute.
This is what I was doing in my head.
The compressions and the compression rate needs to stay on par.
(Wailing) Everybody clear! (Beeping) Congratulations.
Thank you! Thank you for all of your work you guys do! Warning: The last team may be eliminated.
Go, go, go! Who's got heart? That's you, of course.
Have you got that chest tube coming soon? Yeah, we're doing it after this round.
Okay, rhythm check here.
(Wailing) That was not excellent CPR.
Back on the chest.
Here's your report card.
Compression rate.
That was Nic.
Nic and Sabrina were behind us but we got lost so I think they passed us.
Seeing Nic I'm right away freaking out because I know it's a battle for last at this point.
We need some help in here.
We have a major trauma.
This is it.
This already is such a stressful challenge but if I don't get it together then we are eliminated.
(Wailing) Oh my gosh, that was so stressful! Oh ya! Oh ya! I love Sudbury.
It's very visually stimulating.
It's a beautiful city.
We're coming, Jon! Okay! Neil and Kristin, you're team number six.
Okay, we're getting comfortable at team number six.
I need some help in here.
Can you come help me? I have a trauma case in here.
Yes, yes.
Just focus on my beats.
He goes too fast.
That was not excellent CPR.
Please go practice.
Come back when you're ready.
Compression rate.
Compression rate.
Compression rate.
We have a big trauma in here.
I need your help.
We've got to get a pulse back.
It's definitely important that she finishes this.
We're fighting for the last position right now so.
CPR has been going for two minutes.
Charging! (Wailing) She made it? She made it! (Beeping) Congratulations.
Oh! Thank you.
That was outstanding CPR.
Thank you so much! Oh, congratulations! You've got this, Nic.
I am so frustrated.
I don't know how I'm going to complete this challenge.
What's wrong? I can't do it, man.
You're doing okay, love.
You're doing okay.
It's the compression rate.
I don't want to see those (Unclear) anymore.
You just need to clear your head a little bit.
You're just so frustrated.
I'm so mad at myself and frustrated but I don't want to give up for her.
I can't give up on us, on this race.
We have a trauma patient.
Can you help me? I need you to do something about this chest.
I think we need to get a chest tube in.
Did you get a blood count? Okay, shock the patient.
(Wailing) (Beeping) Oh, I have a pulse! (Cheering) Oh, he got it.
Okay.
You did well, love.
Stroke! Stroke! Woo hoo! You two are team number seven.
Oh! Seven, wow! (Cheering) Wow.
Alright, Dujean and Leilani, see you on the next leg.
Thanks, Jon.
Alrighty.
Jon: Nic and Sabrina Yes.
You're the last team to arrive.
Yes.
We know.
I'm sorry to tell you this but you've been eliminated from the race.
Yeah, we figured.
It's not easy news to hear, is it? Both: No.
I wish I would have got to see more.
It's unfortunate.
I'm upset because I didn't want to disappoint Sabrina.
I'm not disappointed.
You always think of me before you think of you and I love you for that.
(Smooch) And I always will.
Is he the man that you want to spend the rest of your life with? Oh, that's for sure.
That's a guarantee.
Our love conquered our limits.
You could bring us to the moon.
Nothing's going to break us up.
The bond that we have is never going to be broken.
This is it, man.
It's me and you so don't get fed up with me.
Never.
You're the best, love.
Jon: Next time on The Amazing Race Canada Go, go, go, go.
Jon: teams race to Canada's heartland, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Saskatchewan.
Jon: where a roadblock has some teams bouncing ahead of the pack Woo! Yes! Oh, so good! Jon: and others falling behind.
Ow! (Buzzer) Dad, get up! Jon: Tensions drive Brian and Cynthia to the edge Brian, relax, seriously.
Don't tell me to relax.
Just drive.
Jon: and at the detour, some teams are spinning in circles while others jump through hoops.
Oh my god! Do you see it? Sean: No, Brent.
Brent: Yeah? Sean: No!
Sean: No!
