Jake didn't say anything about his performance, and we weren't really expecting him to.
He's not gonna throw himself out there for elimination.

You know, I want to be excited for Mike, but at the same time, you know, it's really really hard to watch my buddy go.

I'm coming back to the house with inertia of, "okay, I got a win, and I got to shoot more and do more," it's good for the spirit and soul, too.
Jarrett kind of gave me a mental leg up in the competition because it just makes things a whole lot easier in the house knowing that you got your buddy there with you.
And you know, now he's Now he's gone, so I've got to deal with this stuff on my own.
I mean, how are you still here? How do you avoid elimination - I'm the better shooter.
- I went to elimination.
I earned my I earned my badge, yeah.

Blue Team walks into the kitchen after this elimination, and Jake is acting like they just came off of a win.
For some reason, he's in a good mood, whistling, talking crap, as usual.
I mean, the only reason I can see him talking crap is because he dodged the bullet of the nomination.
You can go on and on.
You still know I'd whup your ass.

Pow! Pow! Jake In some of these group settings, he just goes way off the reservation.
Right.
When's the last time you just bawled your Holy do you ever shut up? No, not really.
When is the last time you broke down crying? When it isn't funny.
Every one of us came into this competition just wanting to demonstrate, you know, marksmanship and maybe character and good sportsmanship.
Jake's ruining that for the entire house.
Mike, at some point, you got to hit something.
Do you know what I mean? No, seriously.
At some point, you just got to get lucky and hit something.
I'm not gonna stop riding Mike until he leaves the house.
That's the bottom line.
Some people may say, "well, you know, is that really fair?" This, that, and the other.
You know, at the end of the day, I need him to continue to go up there on the firing line and choke, and it's been instrumental in us winning.

Signed more red ryder bb guns and bow and arrows than I ever imagined I would have, and it's It's been truly awesome, man.

We start shooting at the targets, and we have a set of binoculars that we can spot with, but it was pretty obvious that it was gonna be hard to actually gauge the impact of the round and find where that round's impacting Make adjustments on the fly And it was burning up a considerable amount of our time.
I don't got any of you.
Y'all are never gonna be able to do it like this, dude.
Y'all are gonna have to take one of the damn rocks out there and start shooting at it.
- In the berm? - I would.
Yeah, just so you see where your splash is? Yep, yep.
When Chris said, "let's switch to the dirt.
"Do you see that dirt mound? Let's hit that.
You see that rock over there? Let's hit that," not only did it make perfect sense Everybody on the team felt the same thing.

So, everybody started to get involved.
Everybody You know, it was instant.
Did he hit? Did he not? You know, we didn't have to have binos to see.
We could all call out shots for one another.
But that's something to aim at.
That's good, you know? - You can see what you hit, yeah.
- Yeah.
It brought a new level of, I guess, excitement.
And it sounds ridiculous that switching from a target to dirt would do that, but instantaneous it worked.

All right, well, you look through the binoculars.

The? Blue Team practice This is the first time I'm meeting the guys, so I'm pretty much just stepping back a little, and I just want to observe what's going on here.
And what I'm seeing is a bunch of guys Bunch of Alpha males, who are jockeying for position.
There's a lot of bravado.
Really, they're wasting the opportunity to have a really topflight trainer teach them what they're gonna need in order to prevail in their team challenge.
You just put two dead center, and you want to keep shooting.
- We're gonna argue about it? - We're wasting time.
- No, let's keep going.
- Let's go.
What's the plan? We're just gonna keep shooting what? You know, it is what it is.
I'm not gonna sit there and beat them over the head to do well, but then, we got out there, and everything started going to I thought we were gonna go two on every gun.
All right.
Well, if we're okay.
I don't I don't really care what we do, man.
So, we They went into that practice with no prior preparation.
We didn't have any walk-throughs, we didn't have a lineup list for shooting, and it just went like crap.
So, we're coming over the hill, and we see what looks like to be a giant jungle gym, connected by bunches of "ropies" and ladders and stuff like that, along with targets way out far.
We walk into the challenge, and there's a ropes course between the platforms.
We're all familiar with the weapon.
And we know the Blue Team's a little more physically fit than Red Team.
We're like, "we got it.
We got it.
" - Good morning, Chris.
- What's going on, buddy? - Good morning.

Welcome to the team challenge.
I want to hear how practice went.
First, I'm gonna go to the team captains.
Iain, how'd practice go for the Blue Team? Practice went pretty good, Colby.
We've got some good shooters on this team.
And looking at the challenge this morning, I think they're gonna smoke it.
Oh, yeah? Feeling pretty good, huh? Mm-hmm.
Chris Reed, give me the report.
We got it, man.
Our practice session yesterday went awesome.
You know, we kind of did some things unorthodox Picking our targets and stuff like that, worked on a few drills, and I feel pretty confident that the Red Team's gonna take the victory to the house.
Well, let's get to it.
I'm gonna let you guys know there is more at stake here for Chris and Iain than just bragging rights.
They have both chosen a charity that will receive $5,000 if their team wins.
For Iain, Blue Team is playing for the Wounded Warriors project.
And for Chris, the Red Team is playing for the Make-a-Wish foundation.
- How cool is that, huh? - Outstanding.
You know, there's gonna be a $5,000 donation made to either charity, so, you know, hey, even if we don't win, somebody's gonna win, so that's cool.
All right, let's get to it.

team members are put through rigorous physical exercises to make sure they're always prepared for any high-risk scenario they may face.
This challenge is inspired by these real-life exercises, so prepare to break a sweat.
Out on the range are five shooting platforms.
Beyond each platform, two exploding targets One at 75 yards, and one at 100 yards.
Connecting the platforms are a series of ropes.
Shooter number 1, on my go, you must climb up an 8-foot cargo net to reach the shooting deck then use the VLTOR TS3 to take out its two targets.
When that's done, the next shooter, who's already stationed on the platform, will use a single, downward-angle rope to lower himself to platform 2, After he explodes his targets, the next shooter must use vertical parallel ropes to reach platform 3.
When he hits, the next shooter crosses the 16-foot gap using horizontal, parallel rope.
Once those targets are taken out, the final shooter must use a single elevated rope to get across to the last platform.
Time ends at the explosion of the final target.
And you have to take turns running the course.
The team with the fastest time wins.
Make sense? All right, let's get to it.
Red Team, you guys get to sit a member of the Blue Team.
Remember, because they sat out last time, Alex and Paul will be competing today.
Who's it gonna be? Red Team decided they wanted to sit out Dustin this go-around.

He should be able to get over these obstacles fast, and he's, so far, been the most accurate shooter on their team.

He's the quickest, he's the lightest, and we know the cargo net is definitely the toughest.
And then everything based off that was just based on body type and our ability to navigate the obstacles.

Probably put up a beatable score, but I think the Blue Team's gonna have to bring their "a" game in order to come come away with the win.
Well, we basically went with our worst-to-best lineup physically, so that would put Billy first and Mike last.
Marksmen, ready SetGo! Go, Billy! Go, go, go, go! Billy first on the course for the Blue Team, making his way up the cargo net.
The challenge starts.
I'm thinking, "I'm the biggest dude on this team.
Why am I going up the net?" You got it, Billy! Let's go, buddy.

Now Billy's having a problem getting the magazine loaded.

Billy just couldn't get himself dialed in right away.

Now Billy's moving on to the second target, and he hits that.
Paul's move down the rope is really, really dynamic.

Blue Team's performance today Nobody's actually done anything spectacularly bad, but nobody's done anything really quick, either, and collectively, you know, when you add all this time together, I think it's gonna be really tight.

I think Billy's a phenomenal shooter.

I have concerns about Jake's marksmanship, and I agreed to go ahead and vote for Jake.

If I can't nail up Jake's target, I'm gonna nail up a target of my own that's made for Jake.

I mean, I really don't feel I was the guy to be here.
I just don't agree with Jake's position right there.

We have something pretty cool in store for you this morning.
We're gonna continue in the world of special weapons and tactics.
You two are about to use a revolutionary weapon system rarely used by anybody who's not in the military or law enforcement The Cornershot.
This weapon system does exactly what its name implies It allows you to shoot around a corner.
A Glock 18 is mounted on the front.
It can be swiveled up to 63 degrees.
Live video is fed from the gun position to a video screen at the rear, and the shooter can remain safely out of harm's way while firing at hostile targets.
The Cornershot is extremely effective in urban hostage situations often faced by S.
W.
A.
T.
teams.
Jeff Gonzales is back to work with you and the Cornershot.
And because of its unusual configuration, the Cornershot does have a tricky rollover or torque to it when it recoils, so pay attention to what Jeff has to say.
It will come in handy in the challenge.
Jake, you are up first.

Some folks overseas were finding out that corners were difficult to deal with, and they were losing a lot of good people.
And the Cornershot, when it came out Now, it's been used overseas for a long time, and it's being used by our troops right now with a lot of success.
The traditional recoil impulses come straight back into the shooter's shoulder.
Here, because that weapon is forward of the hinge and that hinge has that weapon pivoted at a certain angle, now that recoil impulse the physics behind it Are going away from the shooter's shoulder.
So, having to cope with that unique recoil impulse is gonna be something that the shooters have to be familiar with or become familiar with.

You can adjust it on the screen, but the screen changes as you change.
So when I'm looking at the screen on the right side and then I bring the gun to the left side, it's two different the screen looks the same, but the gun's in two different positions.

Little bit high or the bottom right.
I feel like the practice session was valuable to him in helping him to kind of sort through the issues of the Cornershot and what he needs to do in order to get those hits on the targets.
Right side, left side, and over the top I want to be familiar with all three.
- Is that correct? - I would say so.
- Absolutely.

Very, very awkward weapon, nothing I've ever shot before, nothing that even resembles a weapon that I'm used to using.

I'm almost playing a video game, but I have to physically manipulate a weapon.

Right there, right? - On the dot.

I know where I got to be.
Paul seemed to be, you know, totally focused on trying to learn this weapon system, and he got full benefit from it.
What's going on, brother? What's up? Fricking weapon called the Cornershot.
Oh, no way! What is that? Oh, it sees anything.
It's the thing that flips.
It's got a screen and Oh, my God! This is gonna be a very difficult elimination challenge.
I was never in the military.
I joined the police force when I was 21 years old.
But my real strengths with firearms are my adaptability.

Well, what happens if you win and you go back to the house? How does that play out? Well, I'm gonna immediately move into the backyard, and I'm gonna consider myself in green team already and start knocking people out, one by one.
Mike, you're ducking your head like you do not want to be engaged in this at all.
No, I just don't agree with Jake's position right there.
And as going forward, I hope we can pull together as a team if he comes back.
All right, let's do it.
The weapon for the challenge is the Cornershot, equipped with a Glock 18.
You'll be competing one at a time.
Out on the range are three shooting stations.
At each station is a wall with a small window.
are three targets.
At the start, the Cornershot will be in a straight position.
On my signal, you're gonna hustle 35 feet to the first station.
One there, you will take cover behind the wall.
Point the Cornershot through the window and take aim at the three targets to your left using the video monitor.
Once those are taken out, you're gonna straighten the Cornershot out and make your way to the second station, 45 feet away.
This time, the targets are gonna be on your right.
Once those are hit, head to the final station, Here, there's a window You'll have to point the Cornershot straight up, then angle it out the window.
The shooter who hits the nine targets fastest wins and stays in the competition.
The loser, as you know, will be eliminated.
I think it's going to be a very difficult challenge.
I think I have my work cut out for me.

Once I found where my targets were, it wasn't that bad.
I just couldn't get the angle that that course was set up to look out the window.

The? Blue Team practice This is the first time I'm meeting the guys, so I'm pretty much just stepping back a little, and I just want to observe what's going on here.
And what I'm seeing is a bunch of guys Bunch of Alpha males, who are jockeying for position.
There's a lot of bravado.
Really, they're wasting the opportunity to have a really topflight trainer teach them what they're gonna need in order to prevail in their team challenge.
You just put two dead center, and you want to keep shooting.
- We're gonna argue about it? - We're wasting time.

What's the plan? We're just gonna keep shooting what? You know, it is what it is.
I'm not gonna sit there and beat them over the head to do well, but then, we got out there, and everything started going to I thought we were gonna go two on every gun.

So, we They went into that practice with no prior preparation.
We didn't have any walk-throughs, we didn't have a lineup list for shooting, and it just went like crap.
So, we're coming over the hill, and we see what looks like to be a giant jungle gym, connected by bunches of "ropies" and ladders and stuff like that, along with targets way out far.
We walk into the challenge, and there's a ropes course between the platforms.
We're all familiar with the weapon.
And we know the Blue Team's a little more physically fit than Red Team.
We're like, "we got it.

I want to hear how practice went.

We've got some good shooters on this team.
And looking at the challenge this morning, I think they're gonna smoke it.
Oh, yeah? Feeling pretty good, huh? Mm-hmm.

Our practice session yesterday went awesome.
You know, we kind of did some things unorthodox Picking our targets and stuff like that, worked on a few drills, and I feel pretty confident that the Red Team's gonna take the victory to the house.

I'm gonna let you guys know there is more at stake here for Chris and Iain than just bragging rights.
They have both chosen a charity that will receive $5,000 if their team wins.
For Iain, Blue Team is playing for the Wounded Warriors project.

You know, there's gonna be a $5,000 donation made to either charity, so, you know, hey, even if we don't win, somebody's gonna win, so that's cool.

team members are put through rigorous physical exercises to make sure they're always prepared for any high-risk scenario they may face.
This challenge is inspired by these real-life exercises, so prepare to break a sweat.
Out on the range are five shooting platforms.
Beyond each platform, two exploding targets One at 75 yards, and one at 100 yards.
Connecting the platforms are a series of ropes.
Shooter number 1, on my go, you must climb up an 8-foot cargo net to reach the shooting deck then use the VLTOR TS3 to take out its two targets.
When that's done, the next shooter, who's already stationed on the platform, will use a single, downward-angle rope to lower himself to platform 2, After he explodes his targets, the next shooter must use vertical parallel ropes to reach platform 3.
When he hits, the next shooter crosses the 16-foot gap using horizontal, parallel rope.
Once those targets are taken out, the final shooter must use a single elevated rope to get across to the last platform.
Time ends at the explosion of the final target.
And you have to take turns running the course.
The team with the fastest time wins.
Make sense? All right, let's get to it.
Red Team, you guys get to sit a member of the Blue Team.
Remember, because they sat out last time, Alex and Paul will be competing today.

We have something pretty cool in store for you this morning.
We're gonna continue in the world of special weapons and tactics.
You two are about to use a revolutionary weapon system rarely used by anybody who's not in the military or law enforcement The Cornershot.
This weapon system does exactly what its name implies It allows you to shoot around a corner.
A Glock 18 is mounted on the front.
It can be swiveled up to 63 degrees.
Live video is fed from the gun position to a video screen at the rear, and the shooter can remain safely out of harm's way while firing at hostile targets.
The Cornershot is extremely effective in urban hostage situations often faced by S.

Jeff Gonzales is back to work with you and the Cornershot.
And because of its unusual configuration, the Cornershot does have a tricky rollover or torque to it when it recoils, so pay attention to what Jeff has to say.
It will come in handy in the challenge.

Some folks overseas were finding out that corners were difficult to deal with, and they were losing a lot of good people.
And the Cornershot, when it came out Now, it's been used overseas for a long time, and it's being used by our troops right now with a lot of success.
The traditional recoil impulses come straight back into the shooter's shoulder.
Here, because that weapon is forward of the hinge and that hinge has that weapon pivoted at a certain angle, now that recoil impulse the physics behind it Are going away from the shooter's shoulder.
So, having to cope with that unique recoil impulse is gonna be something that the shooters have to be familiar with or become familiar with.

You can adjust it on the screen, but the screen changes as you change.
So when I'm looking at the screen on the right side and then I bring the gun to the left side, it's two different the screen looks the same, but the gun's in two different positions.

I feel like the practice session was valuable to him in helping him to kind of sort through the issues of the Cornershot and what he needs to do in order to get those hits on the targets.

It's got a screen and Oh, my God! This is gonna be a very difficult elimination challenge.
I was never in the military.
I joined the police force when I was 21 years old.
But my real strengths with firearms are my adaptability.
I'm able to pick up things really fast when I'm taught.
I'm certainly not afraid to go out there and display what I have.

Well, what happens if you win and you go back to the house? How does that play out? Well, I'm gonna immediately move into the backyard, and I'm gonna consider myself in green team already and start knocking people out, one by one.
Mike, you're ducking your head like you do not want to be engaged in this at all.
No, I just don't agree with Jake's position right there.
And as going forward, I hope we can pull together as a team if he comes back.
All right, let's do it.
The weapon for the challenge is the Cornershot, equipped with a Glock 18.
You'll be competing one at a time.
Out on the range are three shooting stations.
At each station is a wall with a small window.
are three targets.
At the start, the Cornershot will be in a straight position.
On my signal, you're gonna hustle 35 feet to the first station.
One there, you will take cover behind the wall.
Point the Cornershot through the window and take aim at the three targets to your left using the video monitor.
Once those are taken out, you're gonna straighten the Cornershot out and make your way to the second station, 45 feet away.
This time, the targets are gonna be on your right.
Once those are hit, head to the final station, Here, there's a window You'll have to point the Cornershot straight up, then angle it out the window.
The shooter who hits the nine targets fastest wins and stays in the competition.
The loser, as you know, will be eliminated.
I think it's going to be a very difficult challenge.
I think I have my work cut out for me.

Hits on his first shot! Hits on his second shot! Now he's got to bend it to the right.

Where is it? When I got to my first position of cover, I just could not acquire my target in the lcd screen.

He's got a lot of pressure riding on him.

Now he's got it hit! I think I may have been leaning in too far.

Now he's got it! Moving on to the second station! He's gonna get up here.
He's gonna bend the Cornershot to the right this time.

Second shot connects! Paul's got to slow down.
There it is, hits! One target left.
Paul cruising up to the final station.
Now he's got to bend it at a really awkward position.
Three exploding targets.
First shot's a hit! Second shot's a hit! That's it! Time! I felt perfectly fine with a shoulder-mounted weapon moving to cover.
I, you know, attained cover relatively quickly.
Once I found where my targets were, it wasn't that bad.
I just couldn't get the angle that that course was set up to look out the window.
Marksman, ready SetGo! Jake on the course with the Cornershot and the Glock 18.
Got it bent to the left.
Trying to acquire his target.
Got three jars out there.
It took me probably 2 or 3 seconds to find that sweet spot.
I got on it.
Boom.
Hits on his first shot! Hits on his second shot! Jake goes 3 for 3 at the first shooting station! Jake looks like he knows what he's doing.
Hustling to the second station.
Now he's got to bend it to the right.
Getting the Glock 18 lined up.
He's using his video monitor.
Hits on the first one! Hits the second one! Jake is 6 for 6.
He is absolutely perfect with the Glock and the Cornershot.

He makes he makes the challenge look easy.
