The Amazing Race Canada (2013) s03e08 Episode Script

All of These Are the Same

Jon: Previously on The Amazing Race Canada (Vocalizing) 7 teams traveled to Saskatoon, where they experienced the rich heritage of our First Nations' People.
In this dance, I'm feeling alive.
Jon: Brent and Sean use their express pass, and won their first leg of the race.
Boys, you're team #1! Both: Oh my god! Jon: A birthday wish come true for Brent.
But Brian wasn't a happy camper.
Brian, relax, seriously.
Don't tell me to relax, just drive! Jon: As the pressures of the race revealed cracks in his Armour.
Brian: I can't do it, Cynthia! Jon: A math challenge propelled two teams to take penalties.
I hate math.
We're going to take a penalty.
You want to take the penalty? Yup, let's go.
Jon: While DuJean and Leilani dug deep- Another one! - You're killing it.
Jon: To overcome their penalty and finish in third place.
You guys are team #3.
(Cheering) Jon: Neil and Kristin couldn't bounce back.
You got this, dad! Maybe not.
Jon: Neil and Kristin, you have been eliminated from the race.
Now, 6 teams remain as they race to win a year of travel for 2 in business class anywhere in the world that Air Canada flies.
The 2015 Motor Trend Truck of the Year, the Chevy Colorado, gas for life from Canada's gas station, Petro Canada, a quarter of a million dollars, and The Amazing Race Canada.
(Dramatic instrumental) Jon: This is Saskatchewan, and in the heart of the province is the city of Saskatoon.
Here in the sunshine capital of Canada where locals enjoy more than 2500 hours of daylight each year, teams will begin the eighth leg of the most amazing race this country has ever seen.
Brent and Sean won the last leg of the race Both: Oh my god! Jon: and will depart first at 12:41 am.
"Fly to Kolkata, India"! Both: Oh my god.
Jon: All teams must now travel across three continents to India.
With more than a billion people, India is an ancient land rich in beauty, spirituality, and culture.
Canada has always had strong ties to this far off land, with over 1 million Indian immigrants calling our great country home.
Making India a country packed full of familiar faces.
Ya! Sean: The winners of the previous leg and a team of their choosing will be upgraded to Air Canada international business class for their trip to India.
Oh my god! It's amazing.
We need to go to the airport.
Oh my god, we're so excited.
We are going to Kolkata, India.
And we get to travel in business class, on Air Canada and pick another team to do so.
We really need to choose wisely.
Jesse: "Fly to Kolkata, India".
Let's go.
- India.
Gino: Ya! We're in second place, and we hate it.
We want to be in first place, but second's better than last.
Do you know anything about India? Driver: Yeah, I'm from Pakistan.
The taxi drivers do you think speak English or? It's a hard question.
DuJean: Ah! "Fly to Kolkata, India"! Let's go! DuJean: Alright.
I could not be more excited.
I want to be in business class.
DuJean: What other team would Sean and Brent pick? They were first.
- Oh! Yeah.
- Sean and Brent are first.
Ooh! - Oh! We'll see.
We can't get excited.
Cynthia: Kolkata.
I've never been to India.
Have you been to India? - No, never.
Cynthia and I are regimented.
Our life, our work is planned.
We live out in the country and we love the peace and quiet.
We don't like crowds all that much and I think this one might be a little overwhelming.
Ooh, crowds.
Matt: Here we go to India? Nick: We are shaking the fifth place blues with a trip to India, which is amazing.
"BMO is here to help and you have $250 US on your Cash Back Royal Elite Mastercard for this OPE Kolkata, India"! I've always wanted to go to India so this is the best possible destination.
Clerk: Where are you off to today? Kolkata, India.
Jon: Teams are now flying to Kolkata, India, with a stopover in Vancouver.
It's here that Brent and Sean will give away business class upgrades to a team of their choice.
Sean: Okay, so we have the passes to give away, and you know that we love all of you, but there's one team that we felt helped us the most so we are happy to give these to Leilani and DuJean! (Exclaims) Leilani: Thank you, guys! Come here.
Brian: Act happy, honey.
Yay.
Sean: We have the strongest connection right now with Leilani and Dujean.
Wow.
- Ooh.
Leilani: This is crazy.
This is amazing.
Sean: We picked you guys because of the equestrian challenge.
Was it hard, guys? We don't want to use an express pass.
Guys, you can do this.
Sean: It meant a lot to us.
I'm so happy.
Sean: Cheers to the top six.
To India, guys.
Jon: All teams are now continuing their journey to the other side of the globe from Vancouver via Tokyo to Kolkata, India.
Located in northeastern India, Kolkata is the second largest city in the country.
Here, teams will race through overcrowded streets in temperatures averaging over 40 degrees Celsius.
Teams need to navigate the chaotic streets of Kolkata and locate the Mallick Ghat Flower Market where they'll receive a blessing and their next clue.
(Street din) Gino: Go, go, go, go, go! DuJean: Go, go, go, go, go.
Gino: Taxi! Leilani: This one right here.
Do you know where that is? Jesse: We've got to go fast, okay? DuJean: Go, go, go.
We are in India! Woo hoo! (Laughing) We're warm.
It's crazy.
Jesse: Wow, it's intense.
Simi: Oh my god! Ope: This is scary.
Gino: There's no lanes.
Everyone just keeps making up their own lanes.
Yeah, I'm putting my seatbelt on.
Oh, they don't have any.
(Street din) Brent: This is it? Inside? Okay, thank you.
Our cab driver pulled through.
And dropped us off at a relatively good place in this huge flower market.
Oh, there's a route marker.
Blessing first.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Brent: "Stop and smell the flowers".
Jon: One of the largest flower markets in the world, this bazaar is filled with more than 2000 colourful vendors selling every possible flower you can imagine.
Teams will now choose one of six designated flower stalls and recreate one of these traditional flower garlands that are sold throughout India every day.
Using a needle, thread, and an assortment of fresh flowers they must precisely string together the flowers in the correct order.
Once they've successfully complete their garland, they'll receive their next clue.
Sean: Okay, so orange, yellow, blue, blue.
Brent: We have two example garlands that we have to mimic.
Sean: So it's rose, sunflower - Brent: Sean knows a lot about flowers.
He's a big fan of gardening.
I know all the flowers by name.
I know the marigolds.
I know the roses, black-eyed Susans and the orchids.
So for us it's just a matter of counting.
We're going to knock this flower market out of the park.
Leilani: Flower market? Thank you! DuJean: Cool.
Leilani: Have a good day! Ope: Let's go.
Let's go.
Brian: It's right there.
Nick: We're at Mallick Ghat.
We all ended up here at the same time.
Ope: It's here! It's here! Nick: "Stop and smell the flowers".
Cynthia: The marked stalls.
Brian: How about this one here? Gino: Okay, let's do it right here, okay? Making some flowers.
Brent & Sean: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.
Brent: 1, 2, 3 - that has seven.
Sean: We notice that there's slight differences on either side of the actual garland.
Seven.
So I'll do seven, you do six.
Sean: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.
What'll keep us ahead is doing it right the first time.
Easy.
Easy.
Okay, we're going to go check.
Sean: Yes! Thank you, sir! Thank you very much.
Cynthia: They did it fast.
Sean: Do you have a wife at home, a wife? Give that to her, okay? Brent: "Take the ferry to Babughat Bazaar Ghat and search for your next clue".
Jon: Teams must now navigate the busy streets on foot to find the Armenian Ferry Ghat located on the banks of the Hooghly River.
This tributary of the Ganges River was crucial in turning Kolkata into an important trading post and is scared to the Hindus who consider its water holy.
Teams must take the ferry down river to the dock at Babughat Bazaar Ghat to find their next clue.
Brent: Let's go.
This is what a billion people looks like.
I've got to get used to this bumping.
Cynthia and I are both police officers.
Here in the flower market our police officers senses, for lack of a better word, are on fire because everybody's in our personal space.
Cynthia: I am not feeling very comfortable.
I can't concentrate.
And now I don't trust my back.
Nick: I'm a pro wrestler.
We're pretty experienced in being in front of large crowds, and having a task at hand, and being able to stay focused with that while you're being cheered or booed or there's things being thrown at you.
Jesse: This is very attention to detail kind of thing.
Gino: This is one of those challenges that we have to nail.
If we don't, my mom will be so disappointed.
She's one of those ladies that constantly tries to brag about her flowers.
This flower garland is for our beautiful mother and we are going to make the best one ever.
Leilani: Last flower.
My name is Leilani.
It means heavenly flower.
I'm going to be fantastic at this challenge.
Hi, I'm here for an inspection.
No? No.
- Okay.
DuJean: This garland has Leilani's personality.
Rugged but beautiful.
Ah! Saved that one! Sorry.
Thank you.
We now have to start the whole thing over, arg! We have markets like this in Nigeria so it's like homecoming.
I think we're done.
Thank you so much! Thank you.
Ope: Thank god.
We leave in second.
Simi: Feels pretty darn good.
(Laughs) Matt: That's good, that's good.
Nick: Okay, might as well bring it over for a check.
Oh, thank god.
Thank you so much.
Beep beep.
Beep beep.
Man: Ferry Ghat.
Yeah, that's it.
Perfect.
Thank you.
Thank you so much, sir.
Let's run, Brent.
There's no other teams here.
It'd be nice if it just left right now.
How's that? Good.
Okay, try now.
Thank you.
The ferry.
Where do you think the ferry would be? Go, go, go, Jess.
Run, run.
(Groaning) I really hope no one shows up.
We really nailed the first challenge and now it's all about this ferry leaving before other teams can catch up to us.
Yes.
Oh look, Simi and Ope are here.
Hopefully they're the only ones.
Alright, let's go.
I don't want to miss this one.
Simi: Look, they're here.
I see the wrestlers.
Sean: Come on, no Gino and Jesse.
No Gino and Jesse.
Jesse: Is that a ferry? That's a ferry.
Ya! Sean: Here they come.
Oh good, it's leaving! Yes! Jesse: We've got to get on that.
Excuse me! Excuse me! Sean: Here they come.
Oh good, it's leaving.
Jesse: We need to get on that.
Excuse me! Excuse me! Well, almost.
We almost had it.
(Laughter) They're delicate.
They're delicate.
There's only one team left with us.
Okay.
Cynthia: 4, 5, 6, 7.
Brian: Perfect.
We're going for a check.
Hi.
Check, please.
Woo! Thank you so much.
Brian: Thank you, sir.
Thank you.
Okay, let's go.
Let's go.
The clue is on that rock there.
Roadblock.
Who wants to meet their idol? A roadblock is a task that only one person can perform.
In this roadblock, teams must find Kumartuli, a traditional potters' colony with over 450 family-run pottery shops in tightly packed streets and alleys.
Here they'll search for this specific shop and find these statues of the goddess of wealth and beauty, Lakshmi.
Handcrafted and very detailed, six of these idols have one uniquely painted feature that distinguishes it from all the others.
Guided by only a photo found in their clue, each racer will have to examine all the idols to find the one Lakshmi that matches their own.
Once they find their goddess, the shop owner will give them their next clue.
I'll do it.
I'll do it.
I'll do it.
Okay, I'll do it.
Let's go.
Kumartuli pottery colony? Kumartuli.
When Jesse and I get off the ferry we talk to a man, and he agrees to walk us right to the idol.
Simi and Ope start following.
Find your own guy.
They're like vultures.
Kumartuli.
Do you think it's in there? Yeah, let's try.
Go in there.
We immediately see a bunch of pottery and we're automatically thinking oh, this is it.
No.
Brent: It's not the right street.
It could be this street we were just in.
G! Oh, it's here.
Oh, wow.
I'm pretty good with attention to detail.
In my picture I see a red line on the base that none of the other idols have, so that has to be the difference.
Let's go, G! Come on, sunshine! This one? The difference isn the red line on the base.
Thank you very much.
Yes, G! Okay, let's go.
Make your way by taxi to the Swami Vivekananda House.
In 1893, Swami Vivekananda boarded the Canadian Pacific steamship Empress of India and traveled to Vancouver to spread good karma, peace, and humanity.
As an Indian ambassador of spiritual insight, he is credited with bringing the art of yoga to the western world.
When teams find the statue dedicated to the memory and mission of Swami Vivekananda, they'll find their next clue.
You murdered that.
Come on, sunshine.
Attention to detail.
This one? I know this is the right one because the fingernails are pink on all the other idols and on mine they're burgundy.
Thank you! Thank you so much! Quick, quick, quick, quick.
There's a taxi right there! Okay, let's go.
The Swami Vivekananda House; do you know where this is? No? Do you know where this is? Nobody knows where this area is.
Sir, do you know here? Yeah? Okay.
Gino and Jesse are still looking for a cab.
We've stolen the lead from them.
For the first time we're number 1.
Yay.
Yay.
Taxi! Taxi! What's with this place, man? There it is.
The first idol I walk up to looks identical to my photo.
No.
It's not a match so I need to start scanning all of them.
I'm looking at the face first.
The next place I moved to was the arms, and I looked right at the wrist.
It's the orange on the bracelet.
Woman: Congratulations.
Thanks so much.
Matt, let's go! It's over here.
Well, that took for freaking ever to find.
When we finally get to the roadblock we see Nick and Matt leaving.
I need to nail this.
Okay, I think I know what it is.
Is it this one? No, no, no.
No? Is it this one? No, no, no.
No? This one? No, no, no.
No? Sean: Come on, Brent! Speak English? We're going to this.
He knows.
Yeah.
Cab! Taxi! We're in a race.
Very fast.
Thank you.
Roadblock.
I'll do it.
Do you want to go for it, meet your idol? Okay.
Okay, let's do it.
Let's do it.
Let's do it.
We'll come back five minutes.
Just wait.
Swami Vivekananda was a Hindu monk.
He came to North America on a Canadian steamship and he stopped along the way in Vancouver, British Columbia.
I guess we saw something in common with Swami Vivekananda.
Detour.
Tuck or roll.
A detour is a choice between two tasks, each with its own pros and cons.
India is a land of contrast from its overcrowded chaotic streets to its deepest spiritual contemplative practices.
In this detour, teams will get a chance to decide if they want to namaste or "nama go".
It's their call, tuck or roll.
The spiritual art of yoga, training the body and the mind to live in balance, has existed for over 5000 years.
Tuck requires teams to find the Jaroshaku Takubaru residence.
Once here, teams will have to learn a series of six different and strenuous couples' yoga poses that require a great deal of patience, strength, and balance.
After practicing and perfecting each pose, teams will have to perform the sequence for the guru in order and hold each pose for a period of time.
Once teams are at one with each other and have performed all six poses, Yogi Bishu will give them their next clue.
Moving amongst the chaos of Kolkata's crowded streets are thousands of rickshaws.
For over 100 years these human powered machines have been used to transport people and just about anything else you could imagine around this crowded city.
Roll requires teams to make their way to the University Institute Hall where they'll load up a rickshaw of their own and make deliveries to two local merchants while navigating through a maze of narrow alleys and busy streets.
First, teams will carefully load up these plastic bottles and drop them off at this local soda shop.
Then, after unloading their delivery, they must return to reload their rickshaws with these bundles of cloth to be delivered to this decorating store.
Once all the deliveries are made and the rickshaws are returned, this rickshaw driver will give them their next clue.
Rickshaw, standard.
We'll do this.
Okay, but in this traffic like this, though? (Traffic din) It's okay.
We'll do the rickshaw.
This one? No.
A team's right here.
Oh yeah.
Oh my god.
Sean: Come on, Brent.
Focus! All this lead that we had has completely vanished.
Things aren't all roses and marigolds anymore.
Let's go, Leilani! I realized very quickly that all the idols have only silver beads and mine idol has three blue beads.
And I spot it right away.
It's that one.
Thank you so much! Thank you! Leilani just got it.
She rocked it.
Good job! You bumped us right back into this game with that.
Taxi! Can we go in? No? We're wasting all this time.
We can't find a taxi.
These streets are crazy, man.
This is so bad! They all look the same to me, man.
There's got to be a trick.
All of these are the same.
No.
Yes.
No.
Difference.
All of these are the same as this lady.
No.
There's a tree behind it.
No, no, no.
What's the difference? Wait for us.
You wait? Be right back.
Right there, G.
Detour.
Tuck or Roll.
Let's choose roll, making deliveries.
Yeah.
Let's go.
Is our taxi guy still here? He left.
You may read, good sir.
Detour.
Oh boy.
Grunt work is our thing, man.
Let's roll.
(Laugh) Sean: I don't know how the other teams got this done so quickly.
Brent: Why is this so difficult? Attention to detail.
This one here, ma'am? Is it this one here because of this? There's no horizontal lines on her neck.
Thank you.
Cynthia: Good job, Brian.
Okay, taxi.
Brent: I can't figure it out.
Right now I'm starting to buckle under the pressure.
We went from first place to being in last place.
Sean: Come on, Brent, focus! Oh man! If I can't get this done we're going to be eliminated.
(Dramatic instrumental music) No, no, no.
- No? Oh, my god.
Oh, come on, Brent! Oh, I know.
This one? I'm just hoping he gets it this time.
Is it the red line on the seat? Yes, thank you, thank you so much.
We're obviously in last place right now and it's so discouraging; I just feel really stupid.
Man! Both: Taxi! Taxi, Taxi! Dujean: Yeah, yeah.
Swami Vivekananda House.
(Sighs) Brian: Taxi! We left Brent and Sean at the roadblock but we have a difficult time obtaining a taxi.
That young fella said we have to go this way, 10 minutes' walk.
We need to get a taxi before a 10 minute walk.
Simi: That's it, thank you.
Ope: It can't be us.
This is us.
How do we get in? Is it the other way? Ope: Yes, it's the other way.
Paramount.
That's one place we have to go so keep a note of that.
(Traffic din) Okay, let's go.
Go, go, go.
"Choose your rickshaw and an assortment of bottles.
" Let's choose this one.
It looks like it's going to fall apart.
For this detour we need to load up our rickshaw with some bottles, deliver them to one vendor, and then load it with linens and deliver it to another vendor.
Okay, stop, how are we loading this? Ope: Yeah, here they are.
Let me hold this up, you load it.
Ope: Oh, boy.
Can you hold both of these in one hand like this? Yeah.
Gino: These bags we'll just put on after, okay.
Jesse: I could hold them while I run them.
Gino: That's not a good idea.
Jesse: G, look it! Gino: Okay, it's up to you.
Nick: That looks much better.
So you know where we're going? Matt: Yeah.
Let's go, come on, Jess.
Jesse: G, they went this way, eh? Gino: Yeah, yeah.
Jesse: It looks like Nick and Matt know where they're going so we follow them.
Don't go fast, don't go fast.
Don't worry, this car's hitting me before it's hitting you.
(Traffic din) Sir, right here.
"Detour: Tuck or Roll.
" Let's try the yoga.
Okay, we'll do Tuck, oh, sweet.
As soon as we see Leilani and Dujean we know we're not in last place.
Sean: We need to get a cab.
Brent: Yeah.
"Detour: Tuck or Roll.
" Tuck.
Alright.
Dad, it doesn't have to be perfect.
Just put it on.
Okay, gently.
Not fast, just steady.
Simi, gently! Simi, gently, gently! We need to go gently! I was going gently! Use your eyes.
Help me see what's-- I can't see because I'm holding from behind.
Okay, go, gently.
We'll be right back.
Yoga's big in Canada.
I'm probably going to take it up.
I need something to relax.
"Detour: Tuck or Roll.
" Let's roll.
Cynthia: We roll.
Both: Thank you.
Leilani: Alright, let's go.
Brent: Come on.
Come on.
Leilani: Come on! Come on, Sean.
(Whispers) Hello! Brent and I don't do yoga but how hard can yoga really be? Yeah.
Oh, my god.
Wait a minute.
We have to learn six partnered yoga poses.
Seeing the demonstration of the poses that we have to do was kind of like a jaw drop to the floor.
I'm not flexible enough to do any of these.
Turn.
You actually grab my knees.
Yeah.
We have to practice every single pose so that we can do it to perfection.
Whoa, whoa, whoa.
Whoa! Gino: Let's go, Jess, come on! Oh, we meet again, gentlemen.
Riding our style, eh, boys? Jesse: Come on! Nick: Don't worry, easy, easy, easy.
There it is, hello! Hold on, hold on, come straight up nice and slow.
Let's go, Jess.
Put it here.
Just right here? Take these, take these, take these from my hand.
Keep going, keep going, like this.
Okay, let's go.
We murdered that, eh? The Jesse and Gino curse strikes again, thank you.
Let's try that one.
So I just have to be straight.
Sorry my feet are so dirty.
Your legs are straight? Yeah, okay, so I think we've got this one.
Yeah, I think that's it.
Brent: Okay.
They're so much better.
As dancers we're in tune with watching people's movement and being able to reproduce that.
Watch where he puts his arm.
But this finale pose, man, it's a doozy.
Not yet, not yet, not-- no.
I have to hold her up.
(Panting) I'm going to vomit on you.
Ow! It's right here.
Okay, I'll throw them.
Don't throw them, I don't want anything breaking.
Okay, let's go, let's go, let's go.
Let's go, Jess, turn around, back it up.
Jesse: We did the first job-- Stack them like this.
Let's go.
Now all we have to do is the last one, no problem.
(Chuckles) Do you know where Patuatola Lane is? Down the road, right side.
This, then right? - Right.
Go up and to the right.
Back a bit, both, hold and split out.
Okay, keep going, nice, okay, go.
This is our last load.
Number one Patuatola Lane.
This way? Look out, look out.
It's difficult navigating the rickshaw because the streets are packed.
Guys, guys, go, go, go! The linens are heavy and it's really hot.
I'm definitely a lot more aggressive at this point.
Go, go, go! One Patuatola Lane.
- Yeah.
Where? Yeah.
- Where? The last lane, middle one, middle.
Middle lane on the end.
Did you understand that, G? Gino: No.
That's the hardest.
There's one move that we're having trouble with.
Shoulders, Sean.
The shoulders.
(Panting) I can't lift you up.
You've got it wrong.
You have to.
Oh! Ope: Go! Just wait.
Patuatola number one? That way.
We turn here, right? Yeah.
It looks like I'm bleeding.
(Traffic din) I need earplugs, man.
This is it! You know, Brian, why don't we tie it to this? Tie it off onto what, Cynthia? Well, they're going to keep falling off.
Then I'll keep picking them up.
Okay.
That's what I meant.
Jesse, watch my laundry! Check back, did I drop anything? Jesse: No.
Gino: Okay, what am I doing? Oh, G, you're dropping, G! Gino, watch, G, G, G! We've got to make sure these are on good.
I know, G.
I'm trying here.
One Patuatola.
I don't see the street signs.
Then why are we going that way? Because this is the way.
You're sure it's this way? I'm just as sure as any other way.
There it is.
Hello, sir.
Where would you like everything? Just right here? Can we try it? Change.
The challenge of partner yoga is you have to work as a team.
Everything is about balance and precision so if one person isn't communicating, the other one won't be able to do it.
It's all teamwork.
Touch your foot.
Touch your foot.
You've got this.
(Panting) Okay.
(Panting) Thank you so much.
Thank you.
"Route info.
Make your way to the National Library and search the grounds outside for Jon at your next pit stop.
" Teams must now make their way to the National Library.
Located on the grounds of the Belvedere Estate, the National Library is the largest collection of printed material in the country.
Today this temple of knowledge and wisdom here in the heart of Kolkata will act as the eighth pit stop on The Amazing Race Canada.
The last team to check in here may be eliminated.
Let's go, let's go.
Thank you, thank you.
Cab! National Library.
1A Belvedere Road, hopefully battling for first.
We need to practice that one again.
Brent is leaning back quicker than I can support him.
Look out, look out, are you okay? Are you okay? Oh! Are you okay? Ouch, yeah, I'm fine.
Are you sure? I'm good, yeah, I'm fine, I just want to get through this, okay.
Are you sure you're okay? No, I'm fine, I'm just tired.
I just want to get this done.
Okay, okay, okay.
(Weeping) Just a second.
Just take a minute, take a minute.
Everything is just crumbling around us.
This is like the lowest low that we've been in on the race so far.
I just don't want to be eliminated.
(Dramatic instrumental music) (Weeping) Just a second.
Just take a minute, take a minute.
This is the lowest low that we've been in on the race so far.
I just don't want to be eliminated.
It's hard to see Brent kind of giving up hope.
That's one thing we really haven't done yet on this race.
We're only one move away, okay? Yeah.
Yoga's all about connecting to your spirit and focusing so that's what I'm going to do right now.
Here, take this, put this on the back of your head in case.
Okay, good.
Okay, lean back a bit.
Ooh! Are you okay? (Sighs) Yeah.
We can do this.
We just have to concentrate.
(Sighs) Simi: Is it this way? He said this way, right? Yes, he said you cross the main road.
Simi: Oh, my god, how? We just be careful.
We will cross.
Quick, quick, quick.
Simi: Holy cow! Watch there.
Watch the motorcycle.
Watch, watch, watch.
So go this way.
Oh, stop, we can't go this way.
It's a one way.
Ope: No, buses are going this way.
It's not a one way.
Gino: It's heavy.
Jesse: Okay, well, we've got to get through this.
Gino: Okay.
Jesse: I get it, stop getting frustrated.
What do you want me to do right now? Gino: Just figure it out, we have to get Jesse: I know, I'm trying! I'm just talking to you, man! Jesse: Shut up, you're so annoying right now.
Ope: Where is it? Where is it? Where is it? It's probably this way.
Oh, my god, the road is blocked.
Please! Simi: Go! (Traffic din) Ope: Go, already! Sir! Ope: Please! Please, go! (Groans) Jesse: Let's go this way.
Look for signs, okay? Narayan Decorators.
There it is, G.
Such a frustrating leg.
Excuse me, excuse me! Thank you, sir.
G, you want to get a taxi? Patuatola, where are you? Patuatola, look! We're looking for one, this is 54A.
We're almost there.
Yeah, yeah, over here, here we go.
Oh, my god.
Simi: Good job, Dad.
Both: Thank you.
Taxi! National Library.
We're not in last place, we think.
We've been pretty solid today.
Taxi, taxi, taxi! Taxi, taxi, taxi, taxi! Oh, my god, it's so hard to get a taxi right now.
Gino: I don't know what to do.
Jesse: This is so frustrating.
We're looking for Paramount Drinks and Syrups.
We'll just keep saying it out loud, how's that? Paramount Drinks and Syrups.
Paramount Drinks and Syrups.
Paramount Drinks and Syrups.
Oh, what have we got here or the left? Paramount Drinks and Syrups.
We can make up time here, Brian.
Finished, okay.
Brian: Can you airborne shuffle it? Cynthia: Yeah.
We can get through this.
It's just that one move.
Bend your knees.
Bend your knees, bend your knees, bend your knees.
Put your hands all the way back now.
No, no.
You're doing it the wrong way.
Up.
You've got to do a bridge.
Okay.
Oh, my god, yeah, that's so much easier.
That's the problem.
Okay, we'll do an attempt now.
I just want to prove to Sean that I'm a good partner.
All day today it's just been like letting him down.
I just don't want to go out on this note.
I want to go out on a high note.
Next.
Next.
Now it's the hard one.
The hard one? - Yeah.
Hands back, lean, lean, lean.
(Grunt) Oh! Oh, my god, please.
Oh, thank you so much.
Thank you, thank you, thank you so much.
Very quick.
Right now we feel we're currently in last.
You know, there's something to be proud of today no matter what happens so it's okay.
Yeah, yeah.
Sean: It's going to be okay, okay? (Chokes) Taxi! Come on, come on, come on.
Please, sir, sir, oh! How do we get a taxi, man? This is the first time I think we've felt this comfortable that we're in first place.
This way.
This way.
National Library? Keep pushing, man, because number one's not that far.
Oh, my gosh, there's Nick and Matt.
Where? Right up there.
Wow, Nick and Matt are right in front of us.
I think we're close.
They're going a different way.
They're going a different way.
Was that the library? Matt: I don't know.
(Traffic din) We saw Nick and Matt.
They went a different way which looks like the quicker way.
One Belvedere Road.
Hold on, don't stop yet, don't stop yet.
Keep going.
Keep going to the library, to the library.
The library.
Leilani: Is this it? Okay, we'll hop out, thank you! Stop, stop, stop, stop.
Do you see something? Run a bit.
(Cheering) Hello, welcome to Kolkata, India, city of joy.
Both: Thank you.
Dujean, Leilani You're team number one! What? (Laughs) No! Team number one! Stop that, Jon! Leilani: You're kidding.
Team number unos, I wouldn't lie to you.
Are you serious?! Both: Wow! Wait, hold on.
Number one? How the heck did we pass every single team? (Laughs) No! As the winners of this leg of the race, Air Canada is sending you both to London, England.
Oh! Wow! (Screams) And Petro-Canada is going to make sure that you have free gas in your tanks for the next year.
(Screams) (Laughs) Congratulations.
Thanks, Jon! I cannot believe it.
I'm flabbergasted.
(Panting) Hello.
Nick and Matt Boys, you're team number two.
Oh! Oh, my god, you've got to be kidding me.
So close, boys, so close! It's great, you know, we're still in, like awesome, but we're not, we're not winning, So, like, man, it's starting to get to me.
(Chuckles) Two's not going to win this race and that's where we're sitting so that's pretty frustrating.
(Traffic din) Middle.
Let's go right and then we'll ask.
Down here? - Down here.
And right? - Right.
Brian: Coming through! Oh, my god, he's like a jack rabbit.
Okay, we're at 92 Patuatola.
We're looking for one.
Brian: What's the name of the company? Cynthia: Narayan.
Brian: It's right here.
(Traffic din) Thank you, sir.
We're out of here.
Cynthia: We're in last, we know that.
We can catch up, Brian, with good directions.
Okay, taxi, taxi, taxi.
Come on this way, let's go down here, trust me.
Taxi, I want to get a taxi.
There's people, Cynthia, in that cab.
I was going to go down there but again I'm wrong.
Are you getting us a taxi? Taxi? Yeah.
Brian, he's going to get one way faster than we are, plus he speaks English so he can help us with the directions.
Every cab that's come by here is occupied.
Relax, Brian.
Listen to me then for once.
And go where? He's helping us.
Up there.
Stop yelling! Oh, this is too much, too much.
That's a team up front.
Both: Brent and Sean.
Oh, my god, there's Simi and Ope! Oh, my god.
Oh, my god, oh, my god! We have to run.
We have to run.
Ope: National Library.
Get out, get out, get out! Simi: Do you see anything, Dad? Oh! (Panting) Brent and Sean, Simi and Ope, you're teams number three and four.
Oh, my god, you guys.
We thought we were dead last.
Oh, god.
Couldn't have been closer.
Oh, my god, India is the most chaotic place I've ever been.
What a day.
(Traffic din) Taxi, taxi, oh! You want to try over there or no? Taxi! Jesse: It's very frustrating trying to find a taxi.
We need to get to the pit stop.
Thank you, thank you, here we go, Brian, here we go.
We chose right.
(Speaking other language) Taxi! Can you take us? The National Library.
Yeah? Okay, hop in.
Fast, fast! Fast! Jesse: Hopefully we're still good.
I think we are.
(Traffic din) Oh, my lord! I'm a little concerned with this traffic jam here.
This is not good.
We have a mission right now to hit the mat and it's very, very difficult to be patient.
I'm the patient one in this relationship and I'm not patient.
Come on, drive it! (Traffic din) I'm a little concerned with this traffic jam here.
This is not good.
We have a mission right now to hit the mat.

National Library, are we here? National Library, government of India.
That's good.
Stop, stop, we're here, yeah.
Oh! Gino and Jesse Boys, you're team number five.
Oh.
Phew! Alright.
I just hate when Jesse and I don't have control.
As soon as we lose control I feel like we lose our game.
We're going to try and bounce back.
Well, you're going to have to keep your foot on the gas if you want to get back to the top of this pile.
Jesse: Five, phew.
Brian and Cynthia, you are the last team to arrive.
I couldn't believe it.
No.
I'm sorry to tell you this but you've been eliminated from the race.
Did you think that you were still in this race when you came up to the mat? Yeah, we did.
We tried Yeah.
together.
Nobody'll ever be able to say you didn't try, that's for sure.
Both: No.
I've been known to be impatient.
Yes.
But Cynthia is very patient.
She's my rock.
I love her.
I don't know where I'd be without her.
He's my best friend and there's nobody else I would want to experience this with.
You have an awful lot to be proud of.
Both: Thank you.
The mission wasn't complete in that we didn't win but on every leg we worked 100%.
Mission interrupted, perhaps, but we didn't fail.
Jon: Next time on the Amazing Race Canada "Fly to Delhi.
" Jon: The race continues in India This is awesome.
Jon: where things get slippery They're jumping! (Squeals) Get the basket! Oh, my god! I can't do this! Ah! (Laughter) Jon: and spicy.
