Blindspot (2015) s04e01 Episode Script
Hella Duplicitous
1 [AIKO SPEAKING JAPANESE.]
Aiko's on the move, and she's bringing company.
[PATTERSON.]
Copy that.
I'm in position.
Sorry.
[PATTERSON SPEAKING PURPOSELY BAD JAPANESE.]
Good day! I would please like drink [RADIO COMM IN JAPANESE.]
What kind of criminal wants to meet in a place that confiscates guns? - You, apparently.
- Mm.
This was not my idea.
If I had my way, I'd be shacked up in a love hotel right now, eating Hi-Chews off a freshly-waxed This is Yakuza neutral territory.
Aiko and her men will be unarmed too.
Yeah, well, what about those guys up there, huh? House security, pistols only.
I don't like it.
It's like the time we went to Sho Ahktar's penthouse party "sans guns.
" I think we all remember what happened there, am I right? [CLEARS THROAT.]
Oh, my God! You don't remember, do you? Bits and pieces.
But with the ZIP poisoning, I Great, I'm on a complicated off-books heist with the guy from "Memento.
" I remember the plan, Rich.
It's not complicated.
First, Patterson plays tourist [SPEAKING JAPANESE.]
Smooth? Uh Oh, can I see that bottle, actually? [REMI.]
Getting the bartender to hand her a particular bottle so she can attach a small electromagnetic listening device.
Then, Aiko Matsuo arrives to meet "Simon North," American businessman-turned- traitor played by you.
Aiko accepts the sword as payment for the CIA NOC list she thinks you're here for, a list that she will retrieve from a super-secure safe, and once she does, Patterson's EM device will pick up the combination.
Once Aiko leaves, Reade creates a diversion, giving Patterson time to re-open the safe and grab what we really came here for, Roman's fourth data cache.
Here.
Man, I know Roman had a few screws loose, no disrespect to the dead, but hiding these things in the most dangerous places in the world is a real "screw you" from beyond the grave, you know? These caches were like his back-up hard drive in case something happened to him.
He needed them secure so they didn't fall into the wrong hands.
Granted, but it's been three months since Roman died, and getting them into the right hands is proving to be a real cluster-cuss.
[PATTERSON, THROUGH COMMS.]
Aiko's here.
[METAL DETECTOR WARBLING.]
They're unarmed.
So far, so good.
Remember, you're Simon North, respectful businessman.
Don't blow this.
[SPEAKING JAPANESE.]
Simon, your Japanese is good.
Aiko, your English is better.
Before we complete our transaction, may I suggest a friendly game of Go? Why is she stalling? Are you familiar with the rules? Of Go? Intimately.
We don't want to miss your flight, Mr.
North.
Don't worry.
This'll be quick.
Yes.
It will.
An unusual opening move.
- Arigato.
- That was not a compliment.
[PATTERSON, THROUGH COMMS.]
You need to lose this game and quickly.
Keep your mind on the mission, Rich.
Did you know, there are more potential moves in Go than there are atoms in the galaxy? The universe, actually.
Go is more complex than chess, more nuanced than the finest Gewürztraminer.
- That's German wine.
- Exactly.
Which is why a computer has never bested a true human master.
Well, that's not entirely accurate.
[PATTERSON, THROUGH COMMS.]
I don't like this.
Tank the game, and let's get out of here, Rich.
- Come on.
- A machine has bested a human master at Go.
It was more of a beat-down, if we're being semantically correct.
You see, a machine is only as good as the man who programs it.
[CLEARS THROAT.]
Or woman.
There are plenty of talented female programmers, but this one happened to be a man, and this man happened to be very, very good.
Rich DotCom.
Famously talented and famously arrogant and currently losing to me at Go.
This is very not good.
Oh, I don't know what you think, but my name is Simon, Simon North.
I'm the guy that brought you the sword.
I just wanted to betray my country.
That's not a crime, is it? My apologies for the subterfuge.
You have many enemies here in Japan, men willing to pay a large sum to have you under their control.
I'm flattered? [MAN SHOUTING IN JAPANESE.]
[SHOUTING IN JAPANESE.]
[MEN SHOUTING.]
You just had to play the game, didn't you?! Hey, this is on you, all right? I wanted my cover name to be Brutus.
I told you no one's buying me as a Simon.
Enough! I need your help! I didn't get the combination, but I think I can use a mix of the bar's dry ice with some of these alcohols to make a cryogenic fluid.
To freeze the lock! That's brilliant! Yeah, but all of these labels are in Japanese.
So, what is a sideways smiley face with some quote marks? Is that vodka or gin? I don't know.
Try it and find out.
[MEN SHOUTING IN JAPANESE.]
- Stay behind me.
- Gladly! Hey, hey, okay.
All right.
[GUNFIRE.]
Oh, yeah, that's gin.
[MEN SHOUTING.]
Oh! Okay, that is definitely in my top five sexiest all-time rooftop swordfights.
Oh, no.
What? She's got two swords? That doesn't seem fair.
Patterson, how long 'til you crack it? Close ish.
He's reloading.
[WATCH BEEPS.]
Okay, okay, okay.
- Come on, come on.
- The local police is on their way.
Come on, come on.
All right, give that to me.
- I'm in! - Grab it! Let's go! Got it! [RICH.]
You know what? It seems like you got this.
I don't want to too many cooks, et cetera.
Hah! Eh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Take my life.
Let me die in combat.
No can do, Matsuo-san.
See, we're FBI.
We don't just randomly execute people for no reason.
O kay, I guess sometimes we do.
- Jeez.
- Hey.
[WATCH BUZZES.]
We gotta go, unless we wanna end up in a Japanese black site.
Chopper's almost here.
Jane, are you okay? Never better.
[DOOR CLOSES.]
[DOOR OPENS.]
You're back.
We got in early.
Not early enough.
Come here.
I missed you.
I know.
I got your texts.
Too much? - Way too much.
- [LAUGHS.]
What? Hey, you're not wearing your brace.
No.
The physical therapist said that I could go without it.
Hey, look.
I went for a drive this morning.
You drove? On your own? Kurt Jane, I'm fine.
Really.
You were shot.
You were in a coma for over a week.
The doctor said to take it slow.
Come on.
You just got home.
I'm feeling better.
Avery's off to Brown.
Surely I don't have to take it that slow.
You're bad, and I have to change for work.
- Rain check? - Rain check.
Psst! Patty Cakes! Hey, keep this on the DL, but I'm running a little interoffice pool to predict who the new FBI Director is going to be.
They're finally picking someone? God, it took 'em long enough.
Yeah, well, it's a $50 buy-in.
Favorite gets six-to-one, or if you're feeling saucy and want to bet on me, it's 3,000-to-one, so do the math.
[READE.]
What've we got? Uh, Roman's dongle is legit.
Love it when you talk dirty.
Since Roman died three months ago, we've been able to track down four of these.
And the bad news is, there's still eight out there? No, that's just a fun fact at this point.
The bad news is that, once again, all the files on Roman's cache are encrypted.
What is with your family and puzzles? I'm guessing this cache has similar intel to the others? More research on my ZIP poisoning? More tattoo ciphers? Yeah, I think that's a pretty safe bet.
Okay, well, then, let's get on decrypting it so we can find the rest of 'em and take down HCI Global.
Can we not I mean, Hank Crawford is dead, right? Like, all the way dead? I mean, what if we just ease back on the whole HCI Global fetish and focus on this? The world's most dangerous company is still operational.
We have to assume that their plans for world domination are still a go.
They're like the Hydra.
You cut off one of their heads, and two more are gonna grow back in its place.
I know what a Hydra is.
You don't have to clarify like you're the only one - who knows what a Hydra is.
- [READE.]
Rich, Patterson's right.
I'd feel a lot better if we knew who was taking the wheel in Crawford's absence.
Penny for your thoughts? Your position as Interim CEO is tenuous.
Someone on HCI Global's board wants you out.
That's what you were thinking about here at sunset, on the bank of the Seine? We need to shore up your support and call a vote to get you in permanently as CEO, now.
Protocol dictates I serve for six months as Interim before Would your dad have followed protocol? We've set the table for tomorrow.
All the major shareholders who don't support you will be there.
It is time to seduce the skeptics.
If you don't, someone else will.
I am so glad you're on my side.
Power isn't given.
It's taken.
Tomorrow, we grab it with both hands.
[ZAPATA.]
Sorry I haven't returned your calls.
I don't want you to worry.
I'm fine.
I just need to go away for a while Sorry to interrupt.
You're fine.
We just cracked a file on the newest cache.
What is it? It's not good.
It looks like Jane's ZIP poisoning will eventually progress beyond headaches, memory lapses, and fainting.
What do you mean? It's killing you.
[PATTERSON.]
The ZIP you were injected with has never fully left your system.
What remains seems to be slowly traveling towards your brain stem.
And the closer it gets, the worse your symptoms will become.
And when it arrives there, your body will effectively forget how to function, how to regulate temperature, heart beats how to breathe.
No, Shepherd and Roman would never have given me something fatal.
They may not have known when they dosed you.
But I think Roman found out, probably because he was suffering from the same complications.
This cache contains theories on cures.
- So there are cures? - Emphasis on theories.
And you haven't had any of the advanced symptoms yet.
No voices, no hallucinations.
We have time.
I just I need a little space.
Yeah.
Why don't we go home? Alone.
I need to be alone.
We're gonna do everything we can.
The other caches might have a more definitive treatment.
"Might?" [TIRES SQUEALING.]
[ENGINE REVS.]
Hello, sis Long time no see.
- Roman? But you're - Dead? So much for no hallucinations.
I guess you've got less time than they thought.
So I'm - Dying.
- And you're A ZIP-induced hallucination.
A symptom of what's killing you.
Roman, what's happening to me? I can't remember the last two and a half years of my life.
The last thing I remember is Oscar telling me I would wake up in Times Square.
And then, instead, I wake up in a hospital bed only to find that you and Oscar are both dead and Shepherd's in a black site And you're married to the enemy, the man responsible for all of that pain.
Yeah, and I have to smile at him.
I have to tell him how much I love him.
Play the part of Jane, doting wife.
Sleeping next to him every night, taking care of him.
It makes you sick, doesn't it? Do you think Weller's onto you? That you're you again? No.
I've maintained my cover, and I've been reaching out to Sandstorm.
Hobbes, it's me, it's Remi.
I need help.
All the old numbers, online forums, drafts folders They beat us, remember? Do you really think there's anyone left? There has to be.
No.
There doesn't.
Maybe the time for fighting is over.
Maybe you and I could just run.
No, no, no, I can't! Look, you said it yourself, I'm dying.
I have no choice but to keep working with these people until we recover the rest of your data caches and find the cure.
If I want to live, I have to stay.
You really think that can work? I mean, if I had all the answers, don't you think I would've cured myself? What the hell are you doin'? My physical therapist said that I could increase training, so that's what I'm doing.
And the doctor said you could bench press? I gotta get back in the field.
Jane shouldn't be out there alone.
She's not, she's got us, and if you rush your recovery, she won't have you at all.
This ZIP poisoning thing, I can't imagine my life without her.
She's gonna put up one hell of a fight.
You know that.
Yeah.
What about you? You hanging in there? Are you talking about Tasha? Yes, I am.
Oh, I'm fine.
Really? I've been calling.
She's only called me back once, about a month ago.
She left a voicemail.
Told me not to worry.
- We all miss her.
- Yeah.
[WATCH BUZZES.]
Patterson's got something whoa, on Sandstorm.
Put me back in, coach.
When the doc says you're ready and not a second before.
Over the past couple months, I've picked up on some Sandstorm chatter.
Why are we just hearing about this? Well, you're just hearing about this.
[PATTERSON.]
You were taking care of Weller, and we didn't want to worry you.
Plus, we didn't have anything concrete, so Yeah, all the digital communicado was super one-sided.
[PATTERSON.]
One last true believer screaming into the void.
[RICH.]
It got pretty sad, actually.
"Chef Lonely Hearts Soup for One," if you know what I mean.
[PATTERSON.]
Until today.
Somebody responded.
What did they say? - It's coded.
- [RICH.]
Obviously.
But I'm 99% sure it's a Wheatstone Playfair cipher.
My computer is running the frequency analysis now, trying to ascertain the keyword.
- [READE.]
How long does that take? - Half hour, tops.
If we get an address, we're storming this place.
I'm not taking any chances.
You know what the keyword is.
Hell, you've already solved it, haven't you? Someone has finally reached out.
They've set a meet, and you've got 30 minutes before they figure out where it is.
You gotta get out of here now.
- [GASPS.]
- Hey, are you okay? Yeah, it's just a headache.
I'm just gonna lie down for a bit.
[DOOR OPENS.]
Hello? Hello? Well, I'll be damned.
Listen to me, the FBI's coming.
We have to get out of here.
"We" don't have to do anything, Jane.
I know you work for the Feds now that you've turned your back on us.
Never thought I'd get to meet the traitor face-to-face.
[COMPUTER CHIMES.]
Reade, I have the address.
I'm sending it to you now.
[READE.]
Copy that.
[TIRES SQUEALING.]
I'm not Jane anymore.
- I'm Remi again.
I'm me! - Uh-huh.
What happened, you get hit in the head with the second coconut? Why have you been trying to contact me? - 'Cause I'm on your side.
- My side? "Sandstorm," right? That's what you call us? Well, there is no side, 'cause I'm the only one left.
You did that! Like I said, I'm on your side, and we just doubled our numbers.
Now, you need to believe me.
The FBI will be here any second.
[SIREN AND SCREECHING TIRES.]
Why should I trust you? Because I am telling you how to get away right now and because you still believe we can rebuild.
Please, I have a place we can talk, but it's not safe here.
I'm risking everything to be here.
The second they find us, we have nothing.
Please.
Trust me.
Clear! We missed 'em.
[BLAKE.]
Thank you all for coming today.
My late father had a vision for this company, a vision I share and I [GEORGE.]
All due respect, I'm not sure you're fully aware of everything this company does.
Apart from your charity work [MADELINE.]
George! The girl just lost her father.
Exactly.
She should be taking the time to grieve, not learning how to run a multinational conglomerate.
Thank you, Madeline, but I don't need defending.
And I certainly don't need an explanation of what this company does: the orphanages, the training grounds, my father's plan for a global army.
I know it all, and I believe in it.
So, Mr.
Amherst, if you thought I was just some charity doyenne, it appears you're the one who's not fully aware.
I am prepared to make your priorities mine.
Now I know this is unorthodox, but I'm calling a shareholder meeting this week to formally vote on my father's replacement.
I'd like to know that I can count on your support.
So, how do we get this done? [DOLAN.]
Thank you for before.
But I still have some questions.
I'd be disappointed if you didn't.
The FBI really doesn't know? No.
They think I'm Jane Doe now, true blue, through and through.
You really did it.
You infiltrated The FBI.
We are right where we need to be.
About this "we.
" We have no money.
We have no resources.
And we are gonna fix that.
We're an army of two.
Everyone else is either dead or in prison.
So we hire mercenaries.
Mercs aren't cheap.
You have that much cash lying around? No.
But I think I know where we can get it.
Oh yeah? How? We trigger a tattoo.
[BLAKE.]
Thank you, Madeline, but this was really unnecessary.
Please, don't people know how to celebrate properly anymore? Now, to the future CEO of HCI Global, a woman who knows exactly what she wants.
My father believed that this company had the power to change the world, and I intend to see that it does.
The road that lies ahead will not always be easy or popular.
True change is often painful.
It requires risk.
Sacrifice.
May we all have the courage to - Christine? - Ms.
Salem? [GASPS.]
[BLAKE.]
What What did you? [GROANS.]
What did you give them? Should that really be your main concern right now? Drop your weapon.
[BLAKE.]
Why why Why are you doing this? You literally don't have time for me to explain.
Goodbye, Blake.
Say hi to your dad.
[GROANS.]
Now, what to do about you? I can be useful.
I'm former FBI.
- I - And CIA and NYPD.
I know everything about you.
You've always been part of my plan, Tasha.
What plan? We play by my rules, not yours.
Understand? And if this little corporate takeover is giving you pause, you tell me right now, and we'll end it right here.
Blake has always been too timid, but that's not your problem.
No? What is my problem? How do you plan to explain all this? I have a story.
We're never together, not as a group.
But here we are, so now we all go off to Saint-Tropez for a little corporate retreat, and sadly, my yacht will sink off the coast during the festivities, and you and I will be the only survivors.
Your yacht? And you think that's smart? Do you have a better idea? A cover story that actually covers your tracks.
They all flew in on Blake's plane.
Why not fly them out on it too? It crashes.
There's enough DNA in the ashes to make an ID, but not enough to find whatever you put in that champagne.
You see? Useful already.
And put me on the manifest too.
My remains will burn in the crash.
I'll be just another missing body, so when the FBI comes looking for me, there'll be nothing to find.
So, this is weird.
We got a hit on an original tattoo.
Yo mean one of the old ones? We have no money.
But I think I know where we can get it.
We trigger a tattoo.
I thought we solved most of those already.
We did.
And most of them are dried up now.
The cases, not the literal tattoos.
Obviously, you have radiant, milky skin, Jane.
Are you a sheet mask girl or is it more serum? So, which tattoo is it? The "Zhe.
" "Zhe," a Cyrillic letter.
It's also the symbol for a notorious underground bank.
This place operates on US soil, issuing loans to the likes of ISIS, laundering money for gangs.
It's basically WaMu for bad guys.
And they keep millions in their vaults.
This place is gonna be like Fort Knox.
No way the two of us can rob it.
So we don't.
We let the team do it.
[READE.]
We've always known this bank existed.
- We just couldn't find it.
- [PATTERSON.]
Well, we just did.
Someone on MS-13 slipped up real bad.
Posted on a message board that they want to make a withdrawal.
I remember that one.
I know how to unlock it.
Long story short, the coded language they used triggered my database, unlocking the tattoo.
- You got a location? - Coordinates, yeah.
Then what are we waiting for? Let's move.
You don't have to do this if you don't feel up for it.
Yes, I do.
We can't ignore this, Jane.
You're sick.
Look, please, just take some time off, - slow down a little bit.
- Oh, yeah? You're in workout gear, Kurt, when you're supposed to be resting.
I'm I'm fine, really.
But you don't have to be.
It's okay to be scared.
- I'm not.
- Well, I am.
I know.
We're gonna get through this, okay? I love you.
I love you too.
He's gonna be a problem.
[ENGINES REV.]
All right, you and I'll command Alpha Team, breach the front.
No.
Why don't you lead Alpha solo? Let me take Bravo, cover the back.
That'll work.
Alpha Team's in position.
Bravo's in place.
Just say the word.
All right, let's do this.
[GROANS.]
I got this guy! Move in, clear the floor! The vault.
Now.
Open it.
You wanna live? Open it.
[GRUNTS.]
You don't have to do this.
Jane, what's your 20? I got into the vault.
You're gonna want to see this.
He tried to go for my gun.
There's gotta be, like, 200 mil here.
Yeah, give or take.
We recovered over 200 million dollars from that underground bank, all large bills.
Racks on racks on racks.
Which is a red flag.
Gangs and terrorist organizations raise funds through drug deals or Illegal gambling rings, brothels, the fun stuff! Business conducted in small bills.
You think they're working with someone else? Yeah.
A legitimate bank, probably.
But that does track with the MO of Jane's old tattoos.
Uncovering government corruption and shady corporations, it kind of makes sense.
Friends! Colleagues! Weitz? What are you doing here? Uh, whoa, did you just say colleagues? Oh, yeah, you haven't heard? They just named the new Director of the FBI, and it's me.
Damn it.
Sorry, I We had a Uh, I'm Richard, by the way.
- Congrats.
- [LAUGHS.]
We're gonna have to work on your enthusiasm a little bit, I think.
So, I heard you guys just raided a shady bank.
Who wants to catch me up? Uh, I'll go.
Uh, we think they have connections to a legitimate banking institution.
- Incorrect! - [JANE.]
How do you know that? Oh, I don't, but I do know that I don't wanna crush the US economy on my first day, so Okay, I've got other hands to shake, so excuse me.
- Cool boss.
- I hate that guy.
Oh, come on, you're just bitter that you lost the pool.
- You bought into his pool? - It builds office rapport! Okay.
[KNOCKS.]
Hey, can we talk? I I found this center in Mumbai that treats Look, I know that you're frightened.
Honestly, so am I.
My illness, it it affects both of us.
I know that, even if I haven't shown it.
I just want to be there for you.
I want you to let me If you want to support me right now, then trust me.
If something's wrong, you will be the first person I come to.
Look, you can't keep watching me all the time.
It just makes me feel sicker, like you're waiting for something terrible to happen.
You're right.
No more hovering.
Thank you.
Oh! Ow! - Ow! - Oh, sorry.
I forgot you're still recovering.
Sometimes love hurts.
Well played.
We just got an ID on our last man "sanding.
" That's a Sandstorm pun I just came up with.
Meet Dolan Osmond.
[RICH.]
This genius was smart enough to bring his cell phone to that meet.
So he was there this morning? Briefly, but you must have spooked him when you arrived.
Sorry, how do you know it's him? Because Miss Mensa over here tracked every cell ping near the warehouse.
Thankfully, it was a remote meet spot.
Hey, don't downplay it.
It was very impressive.
Anyway, when I cross-referenced all the pings with criminal records and social media profiles What, you found this guy on Instagram? Opposite, opposite.
Dolan was the only ping with multiple arrests, all for anti-government stuff.
That fits the Sandstorm profile.
And the only one on zero social media sites.
Don't tell me he still has his cell phone on him? [SCOFFS.]
He's on the West Side Highway.
All right, let's do it.
Well, you've got no way of contacting him.
Good luck getting out of this one.
You have to get to him first.
You think I don't know that? I've got eyes on the target.
[TIRES SQUEALING.]
You need to get rid of Reade right now or your only ally gets taken off the board.
Jane, what the hell was that?! Sorry, that car came out of nowhere! I've still got eyes on the target.
[TIRES SQUEALING.]
You know, I've got an idea.
I've got him! Dolan! [GRUNTS.]
Dolan, come on, we gotta get you to a hospital.
No, you don't.
Please, Dolan, hang on.
Make them pay, Remi.
Promise me.
Make them pay for all of it.
Dolan.
So, Dolan's death is a bit of a setback.
Why? With Dolan dead, Sandstorm's really finished now.
We won.
No.
He was communicating with someone.
Yeah, and it's on us to find out who.
What about his cell phone? Maybe he used it to reach out.
Burner.
Called 411 once.
That's it.
[RICH.]
It's gonna be a little harder to track down the mystery Sandstormer now.
Hard, but it's not impossible.
Whoever this is, they just became our Most Wanted.
[DOOR OPENS.]
Ooh, nice work.
Maybe I should fire my maid as well.
[DOOR CLOSES.]
What is it? This has been a monumental day for us here in the Bureau.
Under my direction, this office has taken down an underground bank responsible for funding street gangs and terrorist groups.
Today, my first day as FBI Director, we saved thousands of lives.
I'll briefly take a few questions.
This new FBI Director will be good for us.
Weitz is malleable.
But you know all about that, don't you? What about your relationship with Assistant Director Reade? We were colleagues.
That's it.
I know that look.
Could you kill your colleague if you had to? Without question.
- Hey, Kurt.
- Yeah? We have more bad news.
We dug into Roman's mystery calls.
He was calling the same number again and again before he died.
We thought it might be a lead, maybe a scientist he was working with to cure this illness.
And what'd you find? Who was he talking to? Nobody.
We traced it to a VOIP landline that's been out of service for over a year.
That doesn't make sense.
We think he thought he was speaking with someone, that he was experiencing hallucinations from his ZIP poisoning.
Like Jane will, eventually.
- Uh - Yeah yeah.
I'm I've gotta go home and check on my wife.
What? Oh, don't look at me like that.
That's not a cure.
That's a fairy tale.
Oh, come on, now that we know how lethal Jane's ZIP poisoning is, isn't this is the perfect time to read everybody in on The Book Of Secrets from Roman's data cache? I don't want to go over this again.
Telling Kurt that book could save Jane's life is tantamount to telling him that Santa Claus could.
Okay, I don't think there's any need to take shots at Santa, all right? What would it hurt? We'll just take a quick look.
Oh, you want to take a quick look for the holy grail? Or the fountain of youth? If Roman was pointing me to it from beyond the grave, yes, yes, I would.
Let it go, seriously.
This isn't gonna help anyone.
Okay.
All right.
Done.
Consider it gone.
Hey.
How you feeling? Uh A little banged up, but I'll be all right.
'Cause you seem a little distracted.
Me? What about Jane? She came out of nowhere! This news about her health, Weller's recovery she's going through it.
You're going through a lot right now, too.
I heard you listening to Tasha's voicemail this morning.
That was an old message.
It's You're allowed to miss her.
I just wish I knew where she was.
She's in Zurich.
I didn't want to say anything until I knew for sure, but the chime on the message, it sounded familiar.
- [TRAM CHIME.]
- Sorry I haven't returned your calls.
I don't want you to worry.
I'm fine.
- I just need to go away for a while.
- [TRAM CHIME.]
[PATTERSON.]
So I did a little digging, and it's the sound their trams make.
That's where she is or at least where she was.
It's a start.
[JANE, ON VIDEO.]
I never thought that, uh I never thought that this would - this would happen for me.
- happen for me.
- I never thought that - I never thought that I would find what we have.
I would find what we have.
- Today is just - [DOOR CLOSES.]
Uh, hey.
Sorry, I didn't hear you.
What were you doing? Uh, I just There's so many memories that I've lost already.
I didn't want to lose this one too.
You won't.
I won't let you.
So, what about Roman's calls? Did Patterson have any luck tracing them? No.
Not yet.
How about I go and get us some dinner? Vegan banh mi? That sounds perfect.
- You got it.
- [LAUGHS.]
[DOOR OPENS.]
[DOOR CLOSES, ROMAN CHUCKLES.]
Nice cover for your little "Jane Doe rehearsal.
" - I hate him.
- I know.
I want revenge for everything.
For you, Oscar, Dolan, our mother So take it.
We are gonna break our mother out of that black site, we are gonna find a cure for you, and then we're gonna kill Kurt Weller.
