PHIL: Connie's told me she's talked to you in the past about stepping up.
These folks want change, Grace.

Harmony and Hope is a gigantic deal.
Bob Whitmore, he is one of the richest men in America.

So much energy, wow! And what a blessing it is to be looking down on all these beautiful faces this morning - WOMAN: Ain't that the truth - And hats! [LAUGHS.]

When Connie Sykes, your amazing Deacon board president, first called me and Phil Demars that's Phil right there.
He's our southeastern conference minister.
He's gonna be officing here for a while, yes.

Well, I got to tell you, we were over the moon.
We've been hearing about Calvary for years, all the great things you're doing.
And it was more than one time I said to Phil, "Phil, we got to get in on that, buddy.
" you remember that, Phil? And I bet that's just what he said, too.

Plus, on any given Sunday, we have thousands of members all over the world traveling for business or pleasure who like to know they've told us this.
They like to know, no matter which H and H church they walk into, what they're gonna get.

Like the Lord himself who's the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
You know, Bob, I really don't want to belabor this, especially since it's Sunday.
You know, when I try to restrain myself from any full-on warfare, but there are two things that human beings do together that's best done slowly.

And then you shared that information with his board, and they had him removed.
Within six months, that church became H and H, and Mike Evans is dead.

What it doesn't sound like is God.
Well, I'm glad we were there to pick up the pieces after things went south for your friend.
It's not good when congregations suffer for the sins of their leaders.
