Top Shot (2010) s04e02 Episode Script
In the Trenches
Previously on "Top Shot" at the "Top Shot" range You got to be able to shoot under pressure, and that pressure starts right now, but only 16 would make it into the competition.
When the dust settled, two world-champion pistol shooters were sent packing.
Set Go! The first team challenge boiled down to a battle between polar opposites.
On one side, you've got a combat veteran.
On the other platform, you've got a computer geek an I.
T.
Tech.
That's it! Red team wins! And the elimination challenge puts the competitors in the seat of a World War II sidecar.
Well, Frank, I'm sorry to say this, but you have fired your last shot.
Who will take the next step towards earning the title of "Top Shot"? There are shots that changed history feats of legendary skill and extreme precision.
Now 16 of today's best marksmen have been chosen.
They come from all over the country and from all walks of life.
Amateurs and professionals, military, recreation, and exhibition shooters.
Each shows the timeless skills of a true marksman not just with one weapon, with any weapon.
They will compete in a series of challenges until only one remains, to claim the $100,000 prize and the title of "Top Shot.
" Whoo! Hey.
Hey! In the door comes Greg.
And, of course, he's the biggest guy in the house, he has the biggest voice in the house, and the biggest ego in the house, as well.
It was close.
Very close.
I don't think I disappointed anybody.
And he's gone.
Yeah.
Wow.
He did shoot better than I thought he was going to.
I'll give him that.
Deuces.
From here on out, we'll be all right.
I think we're gonna be doing just fine.
Morning, marksmen.
Good morning.
Good morning.
Good morning.
How we doing? Good.
Good.
Good.
Good.
Yeah? Greg, how relieved are you? It was a huge weight off my chest.
Well, with Frank gone, everyone's chance to win the $100,000 prize and the title of History's "Top Shot" just got a little bit better.
But this competition has only just begun.
Today you're gonna be using a truly legendary firearm the Browning Automatic Rifle.
When the U.
S.
entered World War I, the war department wanted a game changer a light machine gun that could break the stalemate of trench warfare.
The result was the B.
A.
R.
By war's end, America had built over 80,000 Browning Automatic Rifles.
Whoo.
Yeah.
That's awesome.
Yep.
I've had plenty of experience with fully automatic rifles, but I've never shot anything that historic, and I was just really excited when I got up there and saw that thing.
That's one of my favorite weapons in the history of the world.
Any of you guys have any experience with it? Iggy? Yep.
So you've used one.
Do you own one? No.
I've shot it before.
Well, other than Iggy, it's a brand-new weapon to all you guys.
Here to help you train with the B.
A.
R.
And get you ready for the upcoming team challenge is former Navy Seal Craig "Sawman" Sawyer.
Hey, Craig.
How you doing, Colby? Good to see you, man.
You too.
This practice is gonna require that you shoot at 12-inch targets 100 to 150 yards away.
After each team's practice, Craig will name which one of you performed the best.
Blue team, you guys are up first.
Red team, you can head back to the house.
You'll return later for practice.
Got the Browning B.
A.
R.
M1918 A-1.
If you're in a prone position, pull it into your shoulder so she's not running on you.
I have never personally fired the B.
A.
R.
Ooh, buddy.
Lean in to that puppy.
All right, you're in the target.
You just hit the bull's-eye.
You did.
You just smacked that.
Right.
I have to hold top-center high.
I've gotten to shoot automatic weapons before, but nothing like this.
Cool.
"Cool," he says.
Right on.
I was pretty excited just 'cause it looked pretty cool.
I've never shot it or seen the weapon before.
Okay, about 8 to 10 inches Michelle has very, very strong upper-body strength, so this weapon's not gonna be a problem for her at all.
Dead on.
Firing any type of fully automatic weapon, including the B.
A.
R.
, it requires you to have good trigger control.
Center.
Anything at distance, you're gonna have rounds all over the place.
So, short bursts, good trigger control just like you'd have for any weapon, and try and put some rounds where they need to go.
Obviously, don't panic.
but in the green.
Can you slide any further forward and still be comfy? Yeah, I think so.
He told me that I could scoot up a little bit further, and once I was able to plant my elbows a little bit more solidly on the table, I was able to absorb a lot more of the recoil.
Dead center.
Overall, my pick for today is William because he looked like he was handling the weapon very well, he was very alert, so that's what I liked about him, and William's gonna get my pick for today.
So, good work.
I feel totally confident in the team that going into this challenge, we're gonna rock the house.
Bull's-eye in the red! - Thank you.
- Way to go! Bull's-eye.
Good shot, Keith.
Bull's-eye.
Thank you.
The B.
A.
R.
Is fully automatic.
I mean, if that doesn't make your heart jump a little bit and just get excited, what could? I don't get to shoot the bigger guns all that often.
Ah, it's nothing.
She's like, "I got this.
" It was a very soft kick in my shoulder, and I said, "I can handle this.
" Say it's nothing after you put them all in the bull's-eye.
Bull's-eye.
There you go.
Nice, Gabby.
Good going, girl.
That one took out the red dot.
Automatic weapons I've never fired an automatic weapon.
I think the biggest tip that Craig gave the team in general was to really just just lean forward on the gun and also the table.
Whoo-hoo! - Yeah! Right next to the bull's-eye.
What happened there? Here goes another one.
He called it.
Bull's-eye all the way up! Gabby was a little sniper on there, wasn't she? I mean, she was hitting.
It's hard for her to get up there and get behind it, but she's getting good hits.
Ultimately, I think Chris was the best all-around at getting on the weapon and getting lots of quick center hits.
Craig chose me as the expert pick, and I was a little surprised, seeing as I've never been behind an automatic machine gun before.
I'm not even doing anything to you.
Get back.
Get back.
Everybody on our team, we all seem to get along.
Dylan's a cool cat.
He's funny.
He cracks me up.
Whoa.
This looks bad! This looks so wrong.
I love that he sits there and jokes with me every day all the time.
I was gonna help you up.
Screw you.
[Bleep.]
You.
Whoo! Hey.
We're back.
Where is everyone? Coming back to the house, the red team, we had a team meeting.
Whatever the competition is, I think we need to get two of our fastest people up front, get the blue team behind us, put them in panic mode.
Yeah.
'Cause when they panic, they [Bleep.]
up.
Yeah.
Yeah.
We're walking up to the challenge, and it looks like a World War I battlefield.
I see a bunch of barbed wire, cans, boxes.
It's gonna be awesome.
I mean, it's pretty much laid out like trench warfare.
It's got enough memorabilia lying around to put us all in the right frame of mind.
Come on in, marksmen.
Welcome to the team challenge.
The Browning Automatic Rifle was a godsend for the dough boys of World War I.
Now let's see how the B.
A.
R.
Works out for you.
We've designed this team challenge with some of the punishing conditions of trench warfare in mind.
Hope you found your groove in practice 'cause, ladies and gentlemen, it's time to get down.
Oh, man.
I'm pumped.
Hell, yeah.
I'm excited.
Here's how it's gonna work.
Both teams will line up behind the starting line.
On my signal, one marksman from each team will crawl under 40 feet of barbed wire.
At that point, you'll jump into the trench, where you'll find a loaded B.
A.
R.
In front of each of you is a set of seven targets ranging from distances of 100 all the way out to 150 yards.
The first shooter fires at the closest target.
Once that is hit, the next shooter scrambles under the barbed wire, joins the first shooter in the trench, and fires at the next closest target, and so on.
The first team to hit all their targets wins.
Just the idea that there's going to be things exploding around me, fire grazing my butt this is this is something to get my heart rate going.
Before we begin, blue team, you have a strategic decision to make.
After the first elimination challenge, you are now down one shooter, which means a member of the red team is gonna sit this one out.
Okay? You cannot sit the same shooter out of two challenges in a row.
Who's it gonna be, blue team? We good? We're good.
Chee, I hope you didn't want to shoot today, brother.
We nominated Chee to sit out because of his military experience.
I think Chee was probably their best shooter.
Chee Kwan riding the pond today, and he does not look at all thrilled about that.
The blue team chose me to sit out of the challenge, and I'm thinking to myself, "I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, and I just hate the entire blue team," and I was just thinking, "I just wanted to shoot that challenge so bad.
" Now, remember.
Each teammate is responsible for one specific target.
These targets are placed at increasingly difficult distances.
So I'm gonna give you guys a few minutes to strategize, come up with shooting order, then we'll go.
You can break off.
We started talking about our shooting order.
I'm thinking maybe have Tim go first so you can pick up the scope.
Fire away.
Yeah.
Even though it's the easiest target.
We all decided that I should go first because I'm the best on the scope.
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven.
Our team is feeling very confident.
We all rely on each other, and we all feel very prepared for this challenge.
All right, who's keyed up? Who's, like, crazy excited right now? - I am.
- I am.
We're discussing who's gonna go first.
I think Augie.
He's the one that we're least sure about.
He should be going first.
Terry did the best.
Say my name first, I'll key into that.
We want to be able to put the red team in their place, but I'm not quite sure we've got team unity.
Who's the better spotter? Coming up on "Top Shot" Aim high, right-hand corner of the paper.
No, he wants to aim aim low right! You're not hitting anything, Terry! Well, I've got three different directions.
We devised today's teams challenge for you to get a little taste of what it was like to fire the B.
A.
R.
under World War I trench-warfare conditions.
The mission first team to make it through the barbed wire, strike all their targets wins.
You'll be safe from elimination.
Losing team, you'll have to nominate two of your members for the elimination challenge, and one of you will be going home.
All right, everyone.
Here we go.
Marksmen, ready Set Go! Oh! That ought to light a fire under you.
Augie, first to hit the deck for the blue team.
Tim making his way under the barbed wire for the red team.
Jumping in the bunker, loading up the Browning.
Augie's on the range.
Now Tim's on the range.
Augie's first hit is a miss.
Tim misses.
Augie misses again.
Red team hits first! Red team starts off and starts beating us.
Keith was very, very quick going under the barbed wire.
Keith making his way through the sandbox for the red team.
He hops in the trench and gets on the gun and starts firing away.
spotting for Keith.
Keith sends a couple of rounds downrange.
Augie has gone through two magazines with the Browning, still hasn't been able to hit the first target.
I'm thinking to myself, "this bunker's awful lonely right now.
" Keith empties a magazine.
Tim hands him a new one.
He's getting reloaded.
Just shoot around it! Shoot around it! Where at? Augie, turning around, trying to get a little help from his team.
Where we were at standing in the line, we couldn't have a spotter up in the trench.
So then I shoot another burst.
Augie finally hits the first target for the blue team! Now it's Greg on the course for the blue team.
He's making his way under the barbed wire.
Augie, on the blue team, was taking so long.
We had such a huge lead, and now it's gone.
We are tied up in this challenge.
- One target each.
- To the right.
There you go! That's it! Greg hits his target in no time! Blue team takes the lead! Greg got up there and blew it away, and it made me extremely nervous because, you know, I have to follow that.
Keith still trying to close out the second target for the red team.
As soon as the blue team takes us over, the pressure starts to build for us.
Michelle's trying to take out the third target for the blue team.
Okay, Keith, you're shooting way left, buddy.
Tim was trying to guide me around the target, but, uh, nothing was hitting the plate.
Yes! Michelle hits the third target for the blue team! I think I proved myself that I'm not that, "oh, it's that girl.
She sucks.
" Now it's William coming down the run.
Keith's still trying to take out the second target.
They're now on their fourth shooter, and we're still on our second, and so I'm starting to panic.
Red team has got to make up some ground here.
Just hit it right at 9:00, dude.
Move it over 3 inches.
Keith is walking it in now.
Tim calling out his shot.
Yeah! Tim does a great job of calling shots.
Nice shot! Keith walks it in.
Red team closes out the second target.
Now it's Gary in the bunker for the red team.
Red team still behind, but they're picking up some ground.
William hits the fourth target for the blue team.
Now it's Colin on the course.
Come on! Get that thing reloaded! I'm coming! By the time my feet hit the ground, I want to be going hot on the target and blowing it to hell.
Move! Move! Colin, he can be a little annoying here and there.
But Colin hit his target pretty quickly.
Colin hits his target for the blue team.
All right.
There you go! Good hit! Red team takes out their third target! Now it's Gabby coming through.
Dylan for the blue team.
Ugh! Red team's catching up.
Gabby now jumping on the Browning.
I am so impressed with the way that she has been performing so far.
Gabby experiencing firsthand why they also refer to the B.
A.
R.
As a "big-ass rifle.
" Blue team working on their sixth target.
Red team working on their fourth.
That's it! Gabby hits her target for the red team! You got this.
Yeah! Now Dylan hits for the blue team.
Now we got Kyle hustling under the barbed wire, and Terry making his way under the barbed wire for the blue team.
Red team needs to pick up the pace.
Blue team has one target left.
Missing paper! Paper! Aim high, right-hand corner of the paper.
High, right-hand corner.
You're not hitting anything, Terry! Well, I've got three different directions to aim.
I know.
One person at a time! That might have been one of the bigger problems, is too many people were talking.
Turn your handle.
All the pressure is on Terry, going for the farthest target.
Browning Automatic Rifle.
He'd better get some shots downrange.
Haven't got you on paper yet.
Some are saying where I'm hitting and some are saying where I need to aim.
And between the two, it got kind of confusing.
That was low left.
Low left.
Terry giving the red team an opportunity to catch up.
If one person could give me some clear direction, I can get this thing.
Kyle got a magazine seated.
I was thinking, "we're in trouble, and it's going to be my fault.
" Kyle, one inch from the exploding target.
That's it! Kyle hits for the red team! Now Iggy's on the course.
Terry has got to get more accurate with the Browning.
That's it! Blue team wins! Oh, my God.
Blue team wins! Good job.
Come on.
Great job.
Great job, man.
Man, I didn't even get a chance to cook a round off, so, I mean, more than that, you know, I just feel bad for the whole team.
It was just like a big letdown for a second.
Good.
Congratulations, blue team.
You won the team challenge, and for now, you are safe.
Nice work.
Red team, you need to figure out who you'll nominate to compete in the elimination challenge.
Cast your vote at the nomination range.
I'll see you there.
You can all head back to the house.
The red team, we're really disappointed.
We were all expecting having to go to the nomination range at some point, and here we are.
Coming up on "Top Shot" I don't even know how to begin to do this.
My vote for him was purely respect.
The Milkor M32 Grenade Launcher.
You know, we realize that you're only as good as your last shot.
We won this round.
It's not gonna go to our head, but it is a confidence builder, no doubt about it, because we lost the first one, and that feeling sucks, and we don't want to go back to that nomination range, and, you know, I still think we're a stronger team than the red team, and I think the momentum's gonna go from here.
I don't even know how to begin to do this.
You guys are family.
I'm in.
So there's one.
It's got to be me.
It's got to be two of the three of us.
It didn't take us very long to sit down and actually contemplate who were the major players in our team challenge that day.
So the three of us myself and Keith and Kyle all stepped up and said, "you know, you guys all need to sit back and decide who did it.
" Regardless of what's decided, the outcome, whatever, I love all you guys like family.
I do, too.
Nominating someone from this team is gonna be so hard.
I mean, we Over the short few days that we've been here, we have all really developed a bond.
Hell, we've really became kind of a pseudo-family.
Regardless of what happens, we stay together.
That's exactly right.
We roll together, we die together.
I don't bond well or play well with others very often.
After this elimination, the red team, we're gonna keep doing what we do.
We're gonna stay together.
We're gonna stay tight.
And we've got a fallen soldier.
We're gonna fight for him.
One, two, three.
Up, up, up, up, up, up, up.
Come on in, red team.
Red team, welcome to the nomination range for your first time.
Here's how it's gonna work.
You each have a target behind me with your name on it.
I'm gonna call you up one at a time, and you will put a bullet in the target of the person you want to nominate.
You cannot vote for yourself.
All right, Chee, since the blue team sat you on the bench today, it's only fair that you're the first one to squeeze the trigger.
Come on up.
Fire when ready.
- Nice shot.
- Nice shot.
Nice shot.
Red team, we agreed that we would vote based off his performance, and that's what we're gonna stick with.
All right, Iggy.
Come on up.
I understand that Kyle is the leader of the group.
If we do lose him, we will carry on for him.
We will carry on in the same manner to try to dominate the blue team.
Nice shot, Chris.
Gabby, come on up.
Tim, it's your turn to vote.
Kyle came back ready to fall on the sword.
My vote for him was purely respect.
Nice shot.
I voted for Keith.
He did the worst yesterday on the B.
A.
R.
He deserved to be there.
And if he comes back into the house, I'm glad to have him.
Well, that makes it official.
Kyle, you and Keith will be facing off in the elimination challenge.
All right, you guys can head back to the house.
Kyle, Keith, I'll see you guys in the morning at practice.
All right.
Hey, hey, hey.
So the red team picked Kyle and Keith for the next elimination round, and I have no fricking reason why they would pick those two.
It's so stupid.
It is what it is.
I think the whole blue team, we're like, "you're crazy.
"Why the heck would you pick two great shooters and put them in there?" We can't tell them who to nominate.
I think that they're all out of their damn minds, but Brutal.
They're picking the wrong people.
Go ahead.
I mean I have the mentality like, "okay, if that's what you guys want to do, then whatever.
We're just gonna kick your ass.
" Coming up on "Top Shot" The Milkor Grenade Launcher.
Now we're gonna have two guys firing grenade launchers.
How much cooler can it get? Come on in, fellas.
Good morning, Colby.
Good morning.
Keith and Kyle, welcome to practice for the elimination challenge.
Winning this competition requires you to have the ability to adapt to a wide variety of weapons and tactics.
In the team challenge, you competed with a firearm designed to break the trench-warfare stalemate of World War I.
Now we're gonna fast-forward to the present.
Today's american forces face an altogether different kind of warfare and must respond with an entirely different tactical weapon.
Unlike the massive armies in World War I, the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq are being fought with smaller, more mobile units.
These smaller squads have dramatically increased their firepower by adopting weapons like the Milkor M32A1 Grenade Launcher.
I'm gonna have a great time with this grenade launcher, I can promise you that.
The M32A1 is a hand held semiautomatic revolving-action multi-shot grenade launcher.
The U.
S.
marines deployed in Afghanistan and Iraq prize it for its ability to fire fragmentation grenades within 3 seconds, blanketing a 20-by-60-meter area.
It gives a single grunt the firepower to deceive the enemy into thinking they're being attacked by an entire platoon.
To show you how to fire this highly advanced tactical weapon, we've invited back expert Craig Sawyer.
Today you'll be working on combat skills employed by the U.
S.
marines in Iraq and Afghanistan.
For today's practice, you'll be using chalk rounds.
Kyle, you'll be going first.
Keith, you can head back to the house.
You'll practice later.
Good luck.
Have fun.
Thank you.
We're gonna have two guys firing grenade launchers.
How much cooler can it get? That's why I'm here.
All right.
You're gonna like this one.
I already do.
The Milkor M32A1.
If you think of the weapon as A revolver, a pistol revolver, you'll understand kind of how the thing functions as far as the mechanics go.
In practical application for combat use, this thing's a game changer.
I mean, can you imagine having 6 rounds to dump 40 Mike Mike on the target in short order? Boom, boom, boom, boom semiauto.
Pretty powerful piece of gear.
It's very easy to handle.
It's a great piece of gear.
I would have killed to have one when I was on the seal team.
Okay, so it's one cock.
There you go.
First thing I noticed about the gun when I first got it into my hand was it's heavier than I expected.
So you've got a 50-, a 75-yard target.
There are some idiosyncrasies with this weapon that make it more complicated than other weapons, even similar weapons that I've handled before.
There we go.
Nice shot.
There you go.
Okay, all right.
Kyle's accuracy was very good.
He was putting one round on top of the next I mean, literally very, very accurate sniper-style accuracy with this thing.
I was impressed with that.
It was good shooting.
What are you gonna do first? That is gonna bite me.
Cock it, load it.
Cock it, load it.
Popped it open and loaded, I forgot to cock it first before loading.
That's really the main difference between this and a revolver.
Otherwise, you got a dead weapon.
What'd you think, Kyle? Fun.
It will be a fun afternoon.
Good luck in the challenge.
All right, now, when you're loading this thing, I recommend that you don't get in the habit of using the table.
You know, use a leg and dump it into the dirt.
Okay.
It's just a little more cleaner.
Wow, that's heavy.
So I'm sitting it on here.
The real game changer is how fricking heavy that weapon is, and resting it on your leg while you're reloading is something that's gonna take a little bit to get used to.
It definitely has some intricacies that can screw you up in the heat of the moment.
The trigger pull is atrociously long, and then it lets go right at the end.
But as long as you're prepared for that, it shouldn't be a problem.
If you don't follow through, that thing doesn't like it.
You definitely need some good follow-through.
My wife likes to say I only have one hobby and that's hunting, so all the shooting that I do is really geared towards my outdoor passion.
I'm pretty comfortable with judging trajectories and stuff, from shooting bows, and it definitely is gonna play to my advantage there.
I'll try for the bottom in rapid succession.
Cool.
Nicely done.
I was really comfortable with the aspect of, you know, judging trajectory and then adjusting your sights.
But, I mean, that could be heads-up baseball if you only need two, and you just take those two, it could be quicker.
Right.
But if you miss them, and you need a third, it could bite you.
So it's a gamble, but it's a thinking man's game.
Totally.
While I was practicing, I liked the idea of just being ready for anything, and there might be a situation where I have one target to neutralize and so does Kyle, and if I only load two and get a hit, and he loads them long, I'll be well ahead of him.
So I wanted to make sure that I was comfortable with the partial loading.
I like this gun.
The two challengers have very different approaches.
I would put their chances of winning side by side at this point.
They're very different, but I think their overall performance puts them neck and neck.
I wish you the best of luck.
Thank you, sir.
You're welcome.
Welcome back! Grenade launcher.
You got to be [Bleep.]
oh, no! Live ammo.
Six-shot grenade launcher.
Not four or whatever.
And what do you think you're gonna need? You got to be kidding me.
Really? Load what you think you need.
Yeah, really.
When Keith and Kyle came back from their morning practice for the elimination challenge, both of them were just fired up.
I mean, being able to actually fire basically a semiautomatic revolving grenade launcher, it was just too cool.
You know, and except for "Top Shot," I can't imagine any application where you'd just, as a civilian, be able to go out and fire something like that.
I'm here for the title.
There's no doubt about it.
I think I proved that medics can shoot when I took first place out of my battalion in basic training.
So Hopefully I come out on top.
I'm going up against Keith in this challenge, and that is not something I'm looking forward to.
He is the one in the house who first coined the term, for me, "papa bear.
" And the "bear" portion has some reference to my occupation career police officer, spent 12 years on the SWAT team, eventually was a commander of the team.
And the "papa," of course, has some reference to my age.
And I hear that I'm the oldest contestant that has ever been cast on the show.
And so there is a bond between he and I.
Whatever happens at this challenge, I am grateful I was here.
And it's unfortunate, but a good man is going home.
So, we arrive at the challenge, we get up there, and immediately I can see four positions on each side that Keith and I are probably going to get to blow up.
Welcome to the elimination Challee, red team.
Everyone but Kyle and Keith, find a spot over by the bench.
You are safe for now.
For you two, though, the moment of truth has arrived.
Winner stays in the competition.
Loser is headed home.
Well, for the first time ever on "Top Shot," we are breaking out the grenade launcher.
There's gonna be a head-to-head challenge, fellas.
Out on the range are 8 18-inch target 4 for each of you.
The rules are simple.
On my signal, you'll begin firing.
You'll shoot at the outside targets first one by one, work your way toward the center target till you have destroyed all your targets.
The shooter who explodes all their targets first wins.
You guys ready? Oh, yeah.
All right, let's get to it.
Go ahead and make your way to the firing line.
So, we walk out to the challenge.
It's exactly what I expected.
You know, we're gonna be shooting precision targets with a grenade launcher, even though that's kind of an oxymoron.
I consider myself to be a competitive shooter and that any competition I go to, I'm there to win.
Coming up on "Top Shot" Go! Keith hit his first target! Whoa! Holy Oh, my gosh! Rules are pretty straightforward, gentlemen.
Destroy all four targets first with the M32A1, and you win.
The loser is going home.
The winner will also receive a $2,000 gift card to use at Bass Pro Shops.
Let's have some fun.
Here we go.
Marksmen, ready Set Go! Both men having to load six rounds in the Milkor.
Keith got four in his, Kyle getting his loaded up.
Four targets, and you stay in the competition.
Both men loaded up.
Keith hits his first target! Whoa! Aah! Kyle hits his first target.
Kyle hits the second target.
Aah! Oh, my gosh! Both men clearing out the second targets! Kyle blows up the third target.
Holy [Bleep.]
you can't even see them at this point.
Go to fire at three, can't see three.
You know, those explosions were huge.
Keith having to reload.
Kyle has one target left.
Keith has two targets.
Both men reloading the milkor.
Come on, guys! Come on! You can do it! Come on, Kyle! Yes! Keith back on the course.
I spun it halfway, threw in three real quick, snapped it back together, and, uh, I pulled the trigger, and I guess this isn't how we do it.
Keith realizing he's got an empty chamber.
Now he's rotating the cylinder, getting it into place.
Kyle also realizing he's got an empty chamber.
The wind was blowing from left to right, and me and my targets were on the right side of the range luck of the draw and his smoke was obscuring my view of my target.
Keith misses on the third target.
Keith is around oh! Keith goes just above his target.
We're tied up! Both men, one target remaining! Oh, Kyle goes just above his fourth target.
Keith having to reload.
Kyle goes high again.
Come on! Kyle wins! I just got loaded, snapped it back up, just bringing the gun up on target, and, boom, Kyle's target explodes.
Colby says "go" it was just chaos after that.
Fire one boom! Perfect shot.
Fire two boom! My first two rounds were hits and blew them up quick.
Keith having to reload! I'm thinking, "I got to do something drastic here, so let's just cheat death and try and load three.
" Keith misses on the third target.
When he did his first reload, he only popped a couple in there, and that did give me an advantage.
Both men, one target remaining! When I swung over to number four, it was obscured by the smoke.
But then Keith had to do another reload.
Keith having to reload.
The smoke cleared, and I still had ammo in the gun.
And that made the difference in this challenge.
Good job, you guys.
Oh, nice.
Good job.
Nice job.
That was the most paradoxical victory I've ever experienced with anything I've ever competed in.
I am excited to still be here, but it is also mixed with a feeling of sadness that Keith is going home.
Way to go, guys.
You just blew up half the hillside.
Kyle, congratulations.
You hit all four of your targets first.
You're still in this thing.
Come get your Bass Pro Shops gift card.
Rejoin your team.
Nice shooting.
Thank you.
Keith.
Yes, sir.
That's about as close as it gets, man.
It was fun.
One target.
It's hard to say this, man, but you have fired your last shot.
You've been eliminated from "Top Shot.
" Take a moment to say goodbye to your teammates before you head out.
Thanks, Colby.
Guys, good luck.
We knew it was gonna be neck and neck, and I got no problems being knocked out by Kyle papa bear.
- Yeah, one more.
- Yeah.
Red team! Red team! Red team! Red team! See you all.
My experience on "Top Shot" was better than I ever thought it would be.
If you think you're beating all the local boys and you got what it takes, come on and see what you can do with the world's best shooters.
Well, red team, there are now 14 of you still in the hunt for the $100,000, the title of History's "Top Shot," and the chance to become a pro marksman.
And once again, the teams are even.
You can head back to the house.
Tomorrow, the competition continues.
Gentlemen.
On the next episode of "Top Shot" Shotguns take center stage.
The Benelli M4 is one of the sweetest damn guns ever built on the face of the planet.
"Top shot" season He offers his expertise to both teams.
That's gonna make you shoot higher.
Go! And the team challenge takes both slugs and shots to win.
