1 Previously on SEAL Team I'm Lieutenant Commander Williams, the JAG assigned to your defense Master Chief Hayes is accused of voluntary manslaughter for shooting Yazeed Nafal, an unarmed Jordanian civilian Exhibit 3: cell phone footage of the shooting.
Command has issued a no-contact order.
You are to stay away from each other and from Jason.
My detailer called, said that I should hear back about that Echo job by next month.

The government will demonstrate by means of video evidence, timeline and testimony that Chief Hayes committed murder, motivated by revenge on behalf of his best friend and fellow SEAL, Warrant Officer Raymond Perry.
This is a tragic event.
While the government has the utmost respect for Master Chief Hayes' service to this country, he must be held accountable for this heinous crime.
The prosecution will tell you that Master Chief Hayes went rogue.
That he was overcome with vengeance and shot an innocent man in cold blood.

It is Master Chief Hayes' unwavering sworn statement that the deceased, Yazeed Nafal, an AKM henchman, was holding an M1951 Beretta in his left hand.
The taking of a life might be heinous to those of us fortunate enough to never have engaged in combat, but the reality is that Master Chief Hayes is wrongly on trial for doing his job.

While it's true the Master Chief doesn't always do things the way I would like I'm loathe to imagine what the war on terror would look like without him at the tip of the spear.
In all my years in the Teams, I've come across no finer operator than Master Chief Hayes.
