She's the women in the papers who just got convicted a couple weeks ago of murdering her husband.
- [Dispatch.]
All units and all frequencies, we are clearing tact two for an emergency broadcast from the Chief of detectives.
- [Garcia.]
This is Chief of detectives Fred Garcia at the superior court, department 45.
Two men have freed Rita Holmes and fled.
They have killed three people this morning.
Superior Court Judge Matthew Clemens, Sheriff's Deputy Sanchez, and Jackson.
- Four Adam 30, this is Sergeant Hooker.
We now have the man listed in Chief Garcia's emergency broadcast and Rita Holmes contained in Saint Paul's church.
- [Dispatch.]

- Romano, go to the car wash, get the phone number of the church.
I want to speak to those people on the phone.
- They've killed three people already and Jim didn't look like he was gonna make it.

- Police woman? - Yeah, if I can talk to them into I'm gonna try to get Jim Corrigan, the wounded officer, out of there but if I can't, would you be willing to go in and do what you can for them inside? - Hell yes, we'll go in for you.

Roy, I want a evaluation of this situation as quickly as possible.

(tense dramatic music) - Sergeant Hooker, a trained hostage situation negotiator, is apparently about to drive the kidnap murder trio to the Mexican border and we have late word that Officer James Corrigan, wounded earlier and released by the fugative, is in emergency surgery.
