Everwood s04e21 Episode Script

Foreverwood (1)

NARRATOR: Previously on Everwood: -Hey, I'm Stephanie.
-Amy.
I know, you're in my Soc.
1 20 section.
-You always say smart stuff.
-Oh, thanks.
-Think she'll remember these nine months? -Not to the extent you will.
Schizophrenia is a brutal disease.
Kathy is a brave woman to go through with this pregnancy.
Your tests came back.
Your body's fighting a losing battle.
-So, what, that's it? Then I just die? -I'm so sorry.
-You're moving? -Sorry, I didn't mean to drop it on you.
-I thought you told him.
-I was going to, but we got sidetracked.
-I'm not proposing.
-Then why are you holding a ring? If Nina comes to the decision on her own, I'll propose right then and there.
He'd never tell you about the ring.
He doesn't think he deserves to, but I do.
He's my dad, and I wanna see him happy.
He deserves it.
And I think you do too.
Irv was amongst the rarest of men in both his integrity and his warmth.
And so today we bid him farewell.
He will be missed.
The studying has been hard, but the rabbi's kind of cute.
Oh, that definitely helps.
I had this physics professor who looked like Johnny Depp.
Made calculating stuff a lot more interesting.
Really? You know, I've been told that I have a Depp-like quality.
Yeah, you've been lied to.
You do know that doing dishes is not a requirement for eating here? Oh, I don't mind, Dr.
Brown.
So where's this bat mitzvah gonna be? Dad rented out the carousel building at the fairgrounds.
Very cool.
Sounds like it's gonna be one rocking party.
I think that's actually how they phrased it in the Torah.
Oh, my God, you should come.
Can you? Can she? I'd love for Stephanie to come, but it's not that simple, Delia.
This is like a wedding.
There are rented tables and chairs, assigned seating meals that have already been paid for.
Yeah, but now that Nina, Jake and Sam aren't coming, we have more seats.
-Delia, that's really sweet of you, but-- -You know what? You should come.
There's plenty of room.
I was just being-- Forget it.
It's not a problem.
As a matter of fact, I insist that you be there.
-Really? ANDY: Uh-huh.
Wait.
Do you even wanna come? Yeah, I've never been to a bat mitzvah before.
Sounds like fun.
What could be more fun than a lot of Hebrew and a bunch of rowdy 13-year-olds? About 9:30, if we're lucky, maybe we'll break out a limbo stick.
Is he okay? Ephram, it's not a big deal.
I don't have to go.
No, no, no.
He's fine.
It's not you, it's-- I'll be right back.
-What's up? -Nothing, why? You look like you're trying to decapitate that bag of trash.
Plus, there's the whole "neighbor/woman you love moving away" thing.
Like I said, I'm fine.
-So that's it? -What more can I do? She's leaving in two days with Jake.
I obviously don't want her to go, but this is what has to happen.
-And it's better for everyone this way.
-So, what about the ring? I'm returning it tomorrow, unless you need it for some reason.
That's funny.
Look, Ephram, I appreciate what you're trying to do and I love you for it, but I'm returning the ring tomorrow.
Nina's leaving.
It's time to move on.
Wow, when I went to bed last night, you hadn't even started in here.
Yeah, pretty impressive, huh? Been up since 5 this morning packing nonstop.
Keepers here, trash over there, question marks over there.
Coffee? Oh, finished that pot too.
Want me to make more? That's okay.
You've had enough for the both of us.
By the way, I talked to your mom this morning.
She says hi.
I apologized again for kicking you out.
Oh, Nina, it's not like I'm gonna be living in a shelter.
The Abbotts have plenty of room.
Then I'm gonna be home for this summer till college starts, if I get in anywhere.
You're gonna get in everywhere, and they're gonna be lucky to have you.
-Okay, this? Trash? -Oh, the deluxe foot massager.
-Oh, no, definitely not trash.
-You never even opened it.
I know, but it has sentimental value.
-lt was a gift from Andy.
-Ah.
-"Ah" what? What "ah"? -Just you and Andy.
-Me and Andy what? -Nothing.
It's just there always seemed like there was something between you guys at least at some point.
Really? You noticed that, huh, and you never told me? -I figured you knew.
-Well, I didn't.
Well, I mean, I kind of did, but I didn't-- Wasn't really sure until he kissed me last year.
Then it was obvious.
Then he told me he loved me.
But that was because he thought I was in love with him but I wasn't anymore since Jake was moving in.
-lnformation overload.
-Then that whole ring thing happened.
I'm sorry, an engagement ring? Apparently he bought it a few weeks ago.
That's crazy, right? -But did he actually, like--? -Oh, no, no, no.
It was a just-in-case thing.
Ephram told me, but nobody else knows.
Andy doesn't know I know.
So as far as you know, I don't know, and we never had this conversation.
I don't even understand this conversation.
Wait, wait, wait.
So where's the ring now? Well, it's probably next door.
So right now, at this very second there is a diamond ring sitting in a box somewhere with your name on it? Well, I don't know if it actually has my name on the box but yeah.
Hm.
Wonder what it looks like.
[COOlNG.]
I don't know what it is, but something is definitely wrong.
I don't think my medication is working anymore.
Well, tell me what's been happening.
I can't describe it, really.
It's just there in my head.
I feel off.
I feel like I'm slipping back to the way I was before.
Before we had the right pills and I was so sick all the time.
[BABY CRYlNG.]
Louise, would you mind watching Mrs.
Carmody's baby, please? And she just won't sleep.
I can't calm her down.
I feel like I have no control.
These feelings are all normal, Kathy.
You're in a period of incredible stress now.
New baby, husband who's just passed away.
Anyone would be having a difficult time in your situation.
It's perfectly understandable.
We'll be right outside.
Come on, cutie pie.
Hi.
I don't know how I'm gonna do this.
I don't think I can.
Not without James, and definitely not feeling the way that I'm feeling.
This is more than just stress, I'm telling you.
Kathy, listen to me.
Everything is gonna be all right.
Now, I promised your mother and father that I would always look after you.
I will.
I know you did, Dr.
Abbott.
And you've been like a father to me.
But I just feel so alone.
You're not alone.
I'm here for you.
I'm going to help you through this.
There are just so many options.
Did you know we could have a big-screen that would literally cover this entire wall? If only you were willing to sell your dad's car.
Don't worry about helping me or anything like that.
-I'm fine with this stuff.
-Cool.
I have your jacket.
They couldn't get this whole stain out.
Please don't tell me what it was.
Why must you always go to the dark places? -Well, is it gross or isn't it? -Of course it was.
Why not be hopeful? Live optimistically.
-You'll be a happier person.
-I'm bored.
You sure I can't get you guys anything, like a sandwich or a soda? -I'm good.
-Just ate.
Wanna go buy a big-screen TV? I said I was bored, not a 12-year-old boy.
You know what's weird? I've spent the past year looking forward to the day that school's over and now that it is, I'm just sitting here, just hanging out, thinking.
EPHRAM: Aren't you going to Washington in two weeks? -Two weeks is a long time.
-It's like 14 days.
Okay, now I'm bored.
I'm going to buy us a TV.
You wanna go see a movie, Ephram? I would, but I think I'm meeting Stephanie later.
Oh, that's cool.
So that's going well, that thing? Yeah, it's going great, you know.
It's kind of oddly normal.
She comes over, we hang out.
Feels like we've known each other longer than we have.
-That's good.
-She's gonna come to Delia's bat mitzvah.
Oh, that-- Really? Yeah, so you will have a chance to get to know each other if you want.
-I would really like that.
That sounds great.
-Great.
HARRY: Hm.
-What the hell are you doing? Just trying to gauge what is above and beyond the expected nicks and scratches.
It's a floor.
People walk on it.
Just get up and give him his security deposit back.
You're giving me a headache.
Here you go.
Don't spend it all on suntan lotion.
Listen, Hal, I wanna thank you for being such a good landlord.
It really meant a lot to me.
Well, hardwood flooring aside, you have been a conscientious tenant.
Oh! Holy Moses.
Heh, heh.
Okay.
Good.
Mother, you'll be joining us for dinner? You and I can both agree that three nights in a row is more than either one of us can take.
Nonsense.
See you at 6.
-He's just worried about you.
-I know.
-So how are you really? -Oh, I'm.
Getting by.
-You gonna be okay? -Oh, I'll be just fine.
Don't you worry your pretty little head about me.
I know it sounds crazy, but I can't help feeling Iike I'm abandoning you in your time of need.
I survived Everwood for years without you.
I think I can do it again.
But I really did enjoy working with you, doc.
And you know I'm proud of you.
For what you did and for what you're doing now.
You know, I'm gonna need a right-hand man out there.
Once I get settled in, you should really think about it.
-The sun, the sand.
-You're just dying to see me in a bikini.
[BOTH CHUCKLE.]
I don't think I'm an L.
A.
kind of gal.
-Thanks for the offer.
-So, what is your plan? No idea.
Right now, one day at a time.
Okay, I should get going.
I gotta help the movers with the bigger stuff.
-Not a problem, I'll lock up.
-Okay, thanks.
So I'll see you.
I'll see you later.
Bye, Edna.
[WHlSPERlNG.]
I can't believe I let you talk me into this.
We should go.
No way, no way.
It's too late to go back now.
You check there, I'll go there.
-Go, go.
-Unh.
Who knew men could have so many shoes? -Well, he's from New York.
-Oh, right.
Hannah.
Hannah.
Ah! -Don't do that.
-Sorry.
I didn't.
-You found it.
-I know.
Are you gonna open it? I don't know.
ANDY: Delia? -Oh, crap.
-Oh, my gosh.
We are so busted.
-I know.
-Be cool, be cool, be cool.
Okay.
-I can't, I'm not.
HANNAH: Hey, hey.
Shh, shh.
I will handle this, okay? Okay.
[FOOTSTEPS.]
-Oh, hi, Dr.
Brown.
-Hannah.
What are you doing here? HANNAH: I'm just looking for a sweatshirt, Sam's sweatshirt.
Nina thought he left it here.
You know that red one that he loves? Have you seen it, the sweatshirt? -No, but I'll keep my eye out for it.
-Great, thanks.
You know what? It's crazy.
I'm having this craving for cocoa.
-Do you have any? -Probably.
Fantastico.
How about I just make us both a cup? -It's so long since we just sat and talked.
-Have we ever done that? Dr.
Brown.
Of course we have.
ANDY: I would love to talk.
What do you wanna talk about? HANNAH: You know, it's interesting, l, uh.
-Ephram Brown.
-Hey, Jake.
-I'm gonna miss you and your sullen ways.
-What's gonna happen to the place? I heard something about Thurman opening up a Moroccan restaurant.
Yeah, the guy is obsessed with belly dancers.
We're not gonna close it.
We're gonna hire a new manager.
-Oh, yeah? -Yeah.
And Nina's gonna come back once a month for a while just to help with the transition.
-That's good.
-Yeah.
You know, she's the first person I met when I moved here so she's a big part of the reason Everwood feels like home to me and to my dad.
Right.
I guess that's just why this all seems so sudden, you know? -How do you mean? -She's been living here her entire life surrounded with people she loves, people that would do anything for her.
You know, it's a big decision.
Well, I know it might not make sense from the outside but Nina and I are in this together.
I'm not twisting her arm.
-But you gotta admit, it's a bit surprising.
-Well, life is supposed to surprise you.
I bet you you've got a picture in your mind about how everything's gonna turn out.
What you're gonna do, who you're gonna be with.
And I'm sure your dad had a picture too.
But there are windows that don't stay open forever missed opportunities that never come back to you.
And waiting for them doesn't necessarily mean you're strong or even right.
Sometimes it just means that you're afraid to change the picture.
It happens to everyone.
You know what I've learned? Life is too short.
Take care of yourself.
-Hannah? You busy? -No, I'm just packing up my room again.
-I need your help with something.
-Okay.
Tell me that I don't like Ephram.
Oh, no, you are not gonna get me that easy, Amy Abbott.
-I did not just fall off the pickle truck.
-No one's saying that you did.
No one's saying that ever.
You told me that Ephram was none of my business.
Remember our little fight? We weren't supposed to talk about him anymore.
Oh, really? That was crazy talk.
Just like this might be crazy talk.
That's the thing.
I don't know, I can't tell.
So just tell me that I don't like Ephram.
-Really, just like that? -Yes, but only if you really, truly believe it.
You don't like Ephram.
Exactly.
See, I'm probably just feeling weird because of that girl.
-Wait, you're jealous of Stephanie? -No.
That would mean that I like him, which I do not.
I mean, I might not agree with his choices.
I might think that it's a little bit sudden.
I mean, she's always at his house.
-But you're not jealous.
-Absolutely not.
No, I just wouldn't want things to go unfinished.
You know, the whole Ephram-and-I thing, it's a long story.
I think we all deserve a little bit of closure before we go off and do anything crazy.
-There has been a lot of crazy going on.
-I know.
But it's not coming from me.
You know why? You are keeping me sane.
I don't like Ephram, and you are totally helping me see that.
-Thank you.
-Sure.
Oh, no.
Let's hurry and find Delia's present.
I'm breaking out in hives.
You don't need to pretend with me, Ephram.
I know you read Lucky.
Hey, Dad.
What? Calm down.
No, I didn't take it.
I'm cool on the crack fund this week.
Well, you probably just misplaced it.
I'll help you look for it when I get home.
Okay, bye.
My dad is out of his mind.
-What are you talking about? He's nice.
-You don't have to do that.
I like him, but it's taken me 18 years to get there.
-I'm serious.
He's sweet and he's funny.
-Funny? Promise me you will never tell him you think he's funny.
Trust me, it's for your own good.
He'll start testing out material on you.
-You'll slowly start to go numb.
-Everybody thinks their parents are lame.
Seriously, Ephram, your house, it's lot better than most people's.
Plus, you got really great snacks.
I cannot believe you're blatantly using me like this for pudding.
[CASH REGlSTER CLlCKlNG.]
-What's wrong? -No, no, nothing.
I was thinking, I can't believe I haven't done something or said something stupid or, you know, accidentally tripped you or something.
Um.
Listen, l, um.
I have something really, really bad to tell you.
Are you ready? I think you're great.
And don't worry about tripping me.
I got excellent balance.
So when is Hannah moving into my room? What? I'm just curious.
Bright, promise you won't be a freak about this.
What are you talking about? You've both been through a lot.
You gotta be careful about this stuff.
You can't just keep hanging around here, acting like you act.
She's gonna have feelings for you again, the last thing that is supposed to happen when you break up with somebody, okay? Bright, go get the paper.
What the--? Mom, Dad, you better come see this.
"l know in my heart that you will take good care of Lily.
Everyone will be better off this way.
Thank you, and I'm sorry.
Kathy.
" That poor girl.
-Who's Kathy? -She's a patient of mine.
And she just gave you her baby.
Is that even allowed? Of course not, idiot.
-lt looks like it is.
There's a baby here.
-Bright, Amy, please.
-So, what are you gonna do? -I'm going to find Kathy and talk to her.
She's obviously confused and scared.
She was in my office yesterday, just a wreck.
-You should go and find her, dear.
-You'll be okay? Yeah, we'll be fine.
It's just so sad.
Amy, I'm gonna need you to go to the store.
We'll need diapers, baby wipes, bottles and formula.
We'll make a list, okay? -What, are you gonna keep it? -For now.
Someone has to take care of this child.
[COOlNG.]
Hey, hon, I can't tell which of this stuff stays in Everwood and which is going to Minnesota.
Just bring them all down.
JAKE: What the? -We have a huge problem.
-I know.
Trying to stuff this clock into this box, which is clearly a mistake.
-I found this in Hannah's room.
-Oh, my gosh.
Did you know anything about this? We have to talk to her and tell her what a huge mistake this would be.
And besides, how can Bright even afford a ring? -Bright? -Does that guy have a job? -You should see the size of this thing.
-No, I don't wanna see it.
-It's not Hannah's ring.
-Well, then whose is it? Mine, kind of.
[BOTH CHUCKLE.]
-What are you talking about? -It's from Andy.
-Andy.
-It's not what you think.
It's an engagement ring from Andy.
It's probably pretty close to what I think.
-No, he never even gave it to me.
-Well, then, so, what's it doing here? -What's going on, Nina? -Nothing.
It shouldn't even be here.
It's all a big mistake, which I can explain, which I will explain except that I can't now because I need to get it back before he realizes that it's missing.
-So can we just--? -Just table it for now? -Yeah, sure, why not? -Okay.
-I'll take it back for you.
-Jake.
-Jake, no, please.
-It's fine.
Oh.
Damn.
-Hey, Jake, how's the packing going? -Good, we're almost done.
-Oh, great.
-Yeah.
We found a few things of yours, and I thought I'd bring them back to you.
-Thanks.
-There's that.
-I really don't know what--? -That's Delia's.
It's a curling iron.
-Right, right, for the hair, okay.
-And you probably want this back too.
-It's yours, right? -Been looking for that.
Where'd you find it? Is that really what you wanna talk about? I was thinking of starting with why you bought my girlfriend an engagement ring.
If you wanna talk about where I found it-- -I never gave it to her.
-I'm not sure that's the point.
That actually is the point.
As long as you and Nina were together, I had no intention of giving her that ring.
It has nothing to do with you.
So basically, you bought it just in case we broke up which obviously you thought we would.
Well, I'm not gonna lie to you, I was hoping it wouldn't work out.
Seeing as you two are moving to California tomorrow, I obviously was wrong.
You were wrong? -That's all you have to say? -Oh, no, I have a lot to say.
But I don't think you wanna hear it, because I think she made a mistake.
I think I love her more than you ever can or will.
It's over, Jake.
You won.
Nina chose you again.
Well, I guess that's what's bothering me.
What is that? Well, if Nina keeps choosing me then why do I keep having this same conversation with you? Let's go, people, let's go! Take it easy.
We've been waiting for you.
I don't wanna hear any lip from you, Ephram.
Today I am a woman.
-Yeah, that's not gonna get old.
-Oh, you look so beautiful, Delia.
Oh, shoot.
Let me get my camera.
-We hired people for that.
-lt would be more personal if I did it.
I don't want personal, I want perfect.
Now let's go.
We're on a tight schedule.
Yes, we know, we received copies of the itinerary.
Good, then you know that we're already three minutes late.
DELlA: Dad.
Come on.
You're really not going? Oh, I wish I could, sweetheart, but someone has to stay with Lily.
You give my love to the Browns, okay? -All right, everybody, let's get to the car.
-Okay.
-Goodbye, Mrs.
Abbott.
-Bye.
AMY: Bye, Mom.
-Bye, sweetheart.
So I was going to call the authorities about Lily first thing in the morning.
We'll take it from there.
Maybe we shouldn't call just yet.
I've been thinking about this and I'm not sure we should involve anyone official at this point.
Don't worry, I'm not suggesting that we keep Lily.
I haven't gone completely insane.
But if we call Child Services now, they'll just put her into the system and we both know that's not what Kathy wanted.
Well, so, what are you suggesting we do? Well, before we involve the authorities Iet's hire someone, try and find her ourselves.
I'm just thinking of what's best for Lily and for Kathy.
[BABY CRYlNG.]
Oh, she's up.
I should go.
Well, let's talk more about this when I come home.
You get some rest.
[lNDlSTlNCT DlALOGUE.]
Sixty-three, on time.
Let's go.
Dad, could you stay up here with me for a second? Sure.
My mom and I used to talk about what this day would be like.
I always thought the three of us would be up here together but I feel like she's watching us right now.
I hope she knows she's still a part of us every day and she always will be.
Mom this candle's for you.
[UPBEAT HEBREW MUSlC PLAYlNG.]
[PEOPLE CLAPPlNG & CHEERlNG.]
Delia did such a good job, I think.
I mean, I don't understand Hebrew.
-That's okay, nobody really does.
-Look at your dad.
He looks so proud.
I know, doesn't he? -Let's go dance.
-Really? You wanna brave the hora? What did you call me? Come on.
Okay, so they're dancing.
That's fine.
-ls it not fine? -No, it's good.
There's no reason for me to feel weird about this.
-Oh, boy.
-I mean, she seems perfectly nice.
Yeah, I thought so too.
You know, and I actually-- Maybe I'm just a bit jealous, but I think that's normal when your ex-boyfriend's dancing with another girl.
-I guess.
-lt'd be weird if I didn't feel something.
I'm not dead inside.
I really don't know what you want me to say here.
No, no, I don't want you to say anything, unless you have something to say.
Do you? -Do you wanna dance? -Love to.
Yeah, we should, for the children and for God.
I don't have anything to say.
DELlA: Higher, higher! -So, what would you have said? -Huh? If Andy had asked you to marry him, what would you have said? -Are you serious? -I'm curious.
Well, obviously, I would have said no.
Is it that obvious? I love you, Jake.
If Andy has feelings and does crazy things because of those, I can't control that.
I know.
But you still felt you had to see that ring.
I don't know why.
I guess I just got caught up in the moment, but I wish that I hadn't.
I wish Ephram hadn't told me about it in the first place.
Can we just forget it ever happened? I can forget about it if you can be honest with me about something.
Of course, anything.
Do you still love him? Well -I guess I got my answer.
-No, you don't.
-It's not that simple.
-Except that it is, or at least it should be.
And we have to talk about it before we get on that plane.
Are you still in love with him? I don't know, I mean, maybe a part of me is, a small part but I think that's normal, considering our history.
But none of that matters because the bigger part of me is in love with you and leaving tonight for a new life together.
And once we're gone, this whole Andy thing will be behind us.
Deep down, isn't that part of the reason you asked me? So we could start a life without anybody in the way? Yeah, actually, it was but I realize now that that was the wrong reason for me to ask and the wrong reason for you to say yes.
I can't be with someone who has doubts, Nina no matter how small they are.
I need someone who wants to be with me as much as I wanna be with her.
But I love you, Jake.
I know.
But I don't want just part of your heart.
I want all of it, and you can't promise me that.
WOMAN [ON PA.]
: Flight 63 to Los Angeles is now boarding.
-Listen to me.
-Flight 63 to Los Angeles is now boarding.
When I first came to Everwood I had a serious drug problem, and I knew it, but I tried to ignore it.
I just pretended that it didn't even exist, and for a while, that actually worked.
But you can't pretend forever.
You can only pretend for so long, and that's why I slipped up.
Well, it's the same thing with you and Andy.
We can ignore it now and maybe everything will be fine but we both know that it's not gonna go away.
And to be honest I'm tired of pretending that it will.
I want you to know these last two years have been the best of my life.
-Jake-- -I mean it.
I never expected to find love here in the first place.
Or to find myself.
And I did both of those things because of you.
You changed my life.
Wait, no-- Don't wake Sammy up until I'm on the plane, okay? [SlGHS.]
I'm gonna miss you, Nina.
I'm gonna miss you too.
[MELLOW POP MUSlC PLAYlNG ON SPEAKERS.]
Ephram.
Ephram, Ephram, Ephram.
Where is your lady friend? Oh, she's mingling for fun.
It's starting to freak me out.
You know what's freaking me out? How good this is.
Have you had any yet? Oh, goodness.
You're drinking kosher wine.
Hey, so's the kid at Table 8, and he's like 12.
How's everything going here? Delia.
Today you are a woman.
-Oh, boy.
-I know.
Okay.
Being a woman is a great responsibility.
But don't worry, because I am gonna tell you all of my secrets and all of my wisdom.
What was I talking about? -Um-- -Be proud, girlfriend.
You are a woman.
Okay, this has been great.
I have more tables to say hi to.
See you guys later.
No, no, no.
Hey.
-Here you go.
-Look at you in that suit.
-It's very snazzy.
-Thank you.
I always feel a little weird when I wear one.
You didn't feel weird coming to Everwood with that purple hair.
Ha, ha.
Funny.
I thought so.
Oh, my God, I love this song.
-It's been playing for a while now.
-Would you dance with me? -I don't think that's a good idea.
-I got new moves.
You gotta see them.
Sure.
Why not? [UPBEAT POP MUSlC PLAYlNG ON SPEAKERS.]
[SOFT POP MUSlC PLAYlNG ON SPEAKERS.]
Still want to? [BRlGHT HUMMlNG.]
-She's almost asleep.
-Oh, well, she's just cramping my style.
-How was the bat mitzvah? -Actually, it was quite lovely.
Quite.
Those Jews really know how to party.
Though, technically, there were only about four there.
-Where are the girls? -They're still at the party.
Well, she looks ready for sleep.
You really are ready for bed, aren't you, my little sweetie? Night.
So you're, uh, more than welcome to spend the night but you'll have to crash on the couch since Hannah is now in your room.
Heh.
That's cool, I knew you guys would eventually trade me in for her.
No, I think I'll go home.
I don't want it to be awkward in the morning or anything.
Shalom.
-Hey, Dad.
-Hm? When do you think Lily's mother is gonna come back? Oh, I'm not sure.
Why do you ask? I just hope it's soon.
Mom seems to be getting pretty attached.
Any longer and giving back that baby is not gonna be so easy for her.
I know.
-But we are going to find Kathy.
-What if you don't? What if she just doesn't wanna be found? What are you gonna do then? I have no idea.
HANNAH: How you feeling? -I was thinking about puking.
-Yeah, I know.
That's why we're walking slowly.
And why you're gonna remember to turn away when you do it.
AMY: How do you do it? How do you manage to be such a well-behaved lady? You and Bright seemed so hunky-dory.
It wasn't easy, but it wasn't entirely terrible either.
I like you.
You're a good person.
-You know what? -What? You were wrong.
I was wrong.
We were both horribly, horribly wrong.
-About what? -Ephram.
I'm still in love with him.
Hey.
Have I told you how great you were tonight? -Like five times.
-Yeah, but only once since we got home.
Okay, time for bed, kiddo.
Get upstairs and I'll come say good night in a minute.
Nina? I don't think you need to read this after all.
