SOMETHING WAS DEFINITELY IN THA BASEMENT WITH US THAT NIGHT.
Armendariz: I DID FEEL THE DOLL WAS WATCHING ME.
I SEE HER STANDING UP AT THE SIDE OF MY BED.
I WAS FREAKING OUT.
Castro: IT WAS A LONG SHADOW, AND IT TRAILED ACROSS THE BACK WALL FROM FRAME TO FRAME.
Olson: IT REALLY MAKES YOU REALIZE THERE'S SOMETHING DOWN THERE THAT YOU JUST CAN'T EXPLAIN.
John: I SAW THE COWBOY HAT.
HE TAKES A PEEK DOWN THE HALL, TURNS AROUND, AND HE WALKS BACK AWAY.
THERE'S DEFINITELY OTHER SPIRITS THERE, AND YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
Rinscheid: THIS VERY STRANGE-LOOKING CREATURE FLIES ACROSS THE BAR AND THEN DIVES.
THIS PLACE IS HAUNTED.
WE'VE GOT A GHOST.
Reilly: THE SURVEILLANCE VIDEO CAMERA SHOWS A LARGE WHITE ANOMALY.

Reilly: MY GHOST STORY BEGAN WHEN I VISITED THE OCEAN HOUSE IN CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA.
I WAS JUST OUT ON A FAMILY VACATION TO VISIT MY NEPHEW, WHO LIVES IN CARLSBAD, AND WE WERE DOING SOME HISTORICAL TOURS AND HEARD ABOUT OCEAN HOUSE, AND THAT'S HOW WE ENDED UP THERE.
IT'S A BEAUTIFUL BUILDING.
IT'S THE CENTER OF TOWN.
YOU CAN'T MISS IT.
IT TAKES UP ABOUT A CITY BLOCK.
IT'S JUST AMAZING.
OCEAN HOUSE WAS ORIGINALLY BUILT IN 1887, AND IT WAS SOLD TO EDDIE KENTNER AND HIS WIFE, NEVA, IN 1919.
NEVA KENTNER -- HER PARENTS LIVED WITH THE FAMILY, AND HER FATHER WAS LEWIS SAIR.
LEWIS SAIR IS THE ONLY DOCUMENTED DEATH IN THE BUILDING.
PEOPLE OFTEN REPORT HEARING THE SOUND OF FOOTSTEPS WITH A CANE UPSTAIRS.
LEWIS SAIR USED A CANE.
I HAD CONTACTED THE OWNERS OF OCEAN HOUSE, AND THEY HAD GIVEN ME PERMISSION TO GO ON A GUIDED TOUR.
JOSH, THE MANAGER, WAS THERE, MAINLY FOR SECURITY PURPOSES AND AT THE REQUEST OF THE OWNER.
Tylutki: I FIRST MET GAIL WHEN SHE CAME TO CHECK OU SOME STORIES THAT SHE HAD HEARD ABOU THE PLACE BEING HAUNTED.
THERE'S BEEN A LOT OF STORIES FROM THE STAFF ABOUT DOORS OPENING OR FOOTSTEPS.
THERE'S DEFINITELY SOME UNEXPLAINED THINGS GOING ON THERE THAT I'VE SEEN WITH MY OWN EYES.
I'VE BEEN DOWN IN THE BASEMENT, CLOSING UP, AND WE HAVE A SECURITY CAMERA POINTED WHERE WE KEEP ALL THE WINE AND LIQUOR.
I WAS JUST KIND OF CHECKING OU THE CAMERA, AND I COULD SEE MYSELF WALK DOWN AND AROUND THE CORNER TO WHERE WE KEEP OUR WINE.
AS YOU'RE LOOKING AT THE CAMERA, YOU JUST SEE AN ORB KIND OF COME BY.
IT COMES, LIKE, RIGHT TOWARDS THE CAMERA AND KIND OF TAILS OFF, AND IT WAS ENOUGH TO CATCH MY ATTENTION.
AND I KNOW THERE'S NOBODY ELSE DOWN THERE, SO IT'S JUST KIND OF LIKE, "WOW.
ALL RIGHT.
THAT'S PRETTY CRAZY.
" Reilly: WHEN I FIRST WALKED INTO THE OCEAN HOUSE, IT WAS JUST VERY INTRIGUING.
ON THE FIRST LEVEL, THERE IS A LARGE DOMED CIRCULAR AREA THAT'S USED FOR SPECIAL EVENTS.
THAT ROOM HAD BEEN VERY ACTIVE WITH THE MILITARY BACK IN THE WORLD WAR II YEARS, AND THEY USED TO HAVE QUITE A FEW BIG-BAND DANCES FOR THE SERVICEMEN.

KENTNER, ONE OF THE KENTNER DAUGHTERS, USED TO HELP ENTERTAIN THE TROOPS WITH HER DANCING.
MY NEPHEW JASON IS A NAVY VETERAN, SO WE DECIDED HE WOULD BE A PERFECT PERSON TO ASK HER TO DANCE.
MY NEPHEW STEPPED TO THE CENTER OF THE ROOM AND ASKED D.

, THE DAUGHTER, TO DANCE.
AT THAT POINT, THE K-II METER THAT HE WAS HOLDING WAS GOING CRAZY OFF THE CHARTS.
WHEN I SAW THE PHOTOS THAT WERE TAKEN, I WAS AMAZED.
THEY SHOWED AN ORANGE ANOMALY IN THE BAR JUST BEHIND HIM.
THE NEXT PHOTO SHOWED THIS LIGH ANOMALY TAKING FLIGHT.
I THINK WE HAD HIT A NERVE WITH D.

AND ASKED HER TO DO SOMETHING THAT SHE LOVED IN LIFE.
AT THIS POINT IN THE NIGHT, WE ASKED JOSH IF HE DID CARE TO JOIN US AND AT LEAST SEE WHAT WE WERE DOING.
Tylutki: I FIGURED, "WELL, I'M GONNA BE HERE ANYWAYS.
I MIGHT AS WELL CHECK IT OU JUST TO KIND OF SEE IT," NOT REALLY THINKING THAT I WAS GONNA EXPERIENCE ANYTHING.
Reilly: SO, EVERYBODY KIND OF TOOK A DEEP BREATH AND OPENED THE DOOR TO THE BASEMENT.
IT IS VERY DARK IN THE BASEMENT, AND AS YOU GO DOWN, IT DOES FEEL LIKE YOU'RE GOING INTO A BLACK VOID.
Tylutki: I'VE BEEN DOWN IN THE BASEMENT, CLOSING UP, AND BEEN ALONE, AND YOU DEFINITELY CAN GE INSIDE YOUR OWN HEAD IN THINKING THAT, "I WONDER IF THERE IS SOMETHING HERE.
I WONDER IF THERE IS SOMEBODY KIND OF WATCHING YOU.
" Reilly: WE'RE JUS KIND OF LOOKING AROUND AND SEEING WHAT WAS DOWN THERE, GETTING ACCUSTOMED TO THE ROOM.
I WALKED DOWN AND PUT A SMALL TWIST-TOP FLASHLIGH RIGHT IN THE DOORWAY.
AND AS I WAS PUTTING THE FLASHLIGHT DOWN, I HEARD TWO DISTINCT FOOTSTEPS ON THE WOODEN RAMP.
[ TAPPING .]
I IMMEDIATELY LOOKED OUT THE DOORWAY AND SAW NOTHING ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE DOORWAY.
WHEN GAIL HEARD THOSE FOOTSTEPS, SHE WAS STUNNED.
HEARING THESE FOOTSTEPS MOMENTS AFTER ENTERING THE BASEMENT, I WASN'T SURE THAT I WAS PREPARED FOR WHAT MIGHT BE COMING NEXT.
Tylutki: WE WERE LOOKING AT THE SECURITY CAMERA IN THE BASEMEN THAT KIND OF OVERLOOKS WHERE WE WERE ALL SITTING AND DOWN TOWARDS WHERE THE FLASHLIGH WAS SITTING ON THE GROUND.
Reilly: AT THAT POINT IN TIME, THE SURVEILLANCE VIDEO CAMERA SHOWS A LARGE WHITE ANOMALY WHERE WE WERE ALL SITTING.
Tylutki: YOU COULD SEE THA SAME KIND OF WHITE STREAK JUST KIND OF GO BY ALMOST LIKE LEAVING OR EXITING.
THE WAY I LOOK AT IT IS, I SAW IT, I CAN'T EXPLAIN IT, I KNOW WHAT IT'S NOT.
I KNOW IT'S NOT SOMEBODY WAVING A FLASHLIGHT.
I KNOW IT'S NOT A REFLECTION.
I KNOW IT'S NOT A BUG.
IT'S UNEXPLAINABLE TO ME.
Reilly: WE WEREN'T REALLY PAYING ANY ATTENTION TO THE FLASHLIGHT AT THAT POINT, BUT SECONDS LATER, THE FLASHLIGHT TURNED ON.
MOST OF US DIDN'T EVEN NOTICE THAT IT HAD COME ON UNTIL JOSH ASKED THE QUESTION, "WHY IS THAT FLASHLIGHT ON?" Tylutki: I SAID, "DID THA FLASHLIGHT JUST TURN ON?" AND SO SHE JUST KIND OF LIKE LOOKS UP.
WE ALL LOOK UP.
Reilly: OF COURSE, WE ALL TURNED AT THE SAME MOMENT, AND WE WERE ASTONISHED TO SEE THAT THAT FLASHLIGH HAD COME ON BY ITSELF.
Tylutki: MY INITIAL THING IS, THEY MUST HAVE, LIKE, A SWITCH OR A TIMER OR SOME KIND OF TRICK TO IT.
Reilly: WE QUICKLY SAT DOWN AND STARTED ATTEMPTING COMMUNICATION.
Tylutki: THEY STARTED ASKING THE QUESTIONS.
Reilly: WE'RE GETTING QUITE DEFINITE RESPONSES TO SOME OF OUR QUESTIONS.
Tylutki: WHEN I SAW THE FLASHLIGHT GOING OFF AND ON, I WAS BLOWN AWAY.
I'VE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THAT IN MY LIFE.
Reilly: SOMETHING WAS DEFINITELY IN THAT BASEMEN WITH US THAT NIGHT.
THE SPIRIT IN THE BASEMENT WAS VERY ANXIOUS TO COMMUNICATE.
WE WERE SEEING SHADOWS APPEAR BEHIND THE FLASHLIGH ALL ALONG THE WALLS.
THIS WAS ALL HAPPENING AT THE SAME TIME.
I WAS JUST FEELING LIKE, "WHAT AM I DOING HERE? "I'M DOWN HERE TO VISIT FAMILY, "AND HAVE I PUT US ALL IN DANGER BY BRINGING THEM DOWN INTO THIS BASEMENT?" I WAS PICKING UP EQUIPMEN WHEN SUDDENLY, I LOOKED OVER AND SAW JOSH TAKING THAT LITTLE FLASHLIGH AND COMPLETELY TEARING IT APART.
HE JUST LOOKED AT ME AND SAID, "I'M TRYING TO FIGURE OU HOW YOU RIGGED THIS.
" Tylutki: I TOOK THE FLASHLIGHT APART, LOOKED AT IT PIECE BY PIECE, AND THERE WASN'T ANYTHING ABNORMAL IN THERE, AND TO ME, THE ONLY WAY I CAN REALLY EXPLAIN IT IS IT MUST HAVE BEEN COMMUNICATING WITH SOMETHING.
Reilly: JOSH, I THINK, WAS ASTOUNDED BY THE END OF THE NIGHT.
HE REALIZED HE COULDN'T EXPLAIN WHAT WE HAD ALL EXPERIENCED.
Tylutki: BEFORE THIS WHOLE EXPERIENCE WITH GAIL COMING DOWN, I WOULD HAVE SAID THAT I WAS 100% NOT A BELIEVER.
PEOPLE WERE KIND OF GOOFY TO THINK THAT THERE'S SPIRITS HAUNTING US AND WATCHING US AND EVERYTHING, BUT NOW, AFTER SEEING EVERYTHING, I'M MORE OF A BELIEVER THAN EVER BEFORE.
Reilly: AFTER HEARING THE FOOTSTEPS, SEEING SHADOWS, SEEING ORBS WITH OUR OWN EYES, THERE'S NO DOUBT IN MY MIND THAT THE SPIRITS REMAIN AT OCEAN HOUSE.
Wenger: IT'S A HIDEOUS, OLD, UGLY, DEMONIC-LOOKING DOLL.
Armendariz: IT HAD AN ENTITY ATTACHED TO IT.
Wenger: I WAS WORRIED THAT IT WAS EVIL AND POWERFUL AND STRONG.
THE DOLL GOT AGGRESSIVE.
ALMOST ALL OF HER PETS DIED, AND I WAS CONCERNED SHE MIGHT BE PHYSICALLY HARMED BY IT.
Wenger: THIS DOLL WAS DEMONIC.
THERE'S NO OTHER EXPLANATION FOR IT.
Armendariz: IT WAS THE WEIRDEST, FREAKIEST THING.
A LOT OF PEOPLE SAW IT.
Wenger: IT'S DEFINITELY THE DOLL MANIFESTING.
Armendariz: THEY WANT TO BE ACKNOWLEDGED, AND THEN THEY WANT TO TAKE OVER.
MY GHOST STORY BEGAN WHEN I FOUND THE HAUNTED DOLL.
YUSSI AND I DECIDED TO JUST GO AND DRIVE UP IN MOUNTAINS.
Wenger: WE DECIDED TO GO TAKE A WALK AROUND AND MAYBE TAKE SOME PICTURES IN SHADOW CANYON.
DURING THE SUMMER THE YEAR BEFORE, THERE WERE WILDFIRES AND ALL THE HOMES BURNED TO THE GROUND.
THEN WINTER, THEY HAD FLOODS.
SO IT WAS REALLY AWKWARD LOOKING, AND REALLY, THERE WAS NOBODY AROUND.
AS WE WALKED TOWARDS ONE OF THE TREES, THERE WAS A BIZARRE PORCELAIN DOLL STUCK IN THE TREE, FACING THE MOUNTAINS.
Armendariz: I'M LIKE, "WHAT IS THAT?" AND HE'S LIKE, "IT'S A DOLL.
" I'M LIKE, "NO!" Wenger: THE THING MUST HAVE BEEN SITTING IN THAT TREE FOR SIX MONTHS, AT LEAST.
IT'S A HIDEOUS, OLD, UGLY, DEMONIC-LOOKING DOLL, AND WE THOUGH THAT WAS REALLY ODD, SO WE TOOK SOME PICTURES OF IT.
WE WONDERED WHETHER SOMEBODY PLACED IT THERE.
Armendariz: FOR SOME REASON, I WAS DRAWN TO IT.
I JUST FELT THIS CONNECTION.
I ACTUALLY WANTED TO HAVE IT.
I WANTED TO TAKE IT HOME.

" Wenger: EVENTUALLY, I GAVE IN, SO I SAID, "IF THAT'S GOING IN MY CAR, THEN IT'S GONNA BE IN A TRASH BAG IN THE TRUNK.
" AND AS WE WERE DRIVING, WE HEARD SOME KNOCKING, AS IF IT WAS KNOCKING ON THE TRUNK DOOR, TRYING TO GET OUT.
Armendariz: WE BOTH HEARD IT.
AND THEN I STARTED FREAKING OUT, TOO.
I'M LIKE, "WOW, DID I JUST MADE A MISTAKE?" Wenger: SO WE TOOK THE THING HOME, AND I SAID, "IT'S STAYING IN THE GARAGE IN THE TRASH BAG.
" Armendariz: NOT EVEN A WEEK WENT BY, AND I ALREADY HAD TAKEN HER CLOTHES OFF, PUT BLEACH ON HER, CLEANED HER.
AT FIRST, EVERYTHING WAS GOOD.
TO ME, IT WAS FASCINATING JUST TO HAVE HER, BUT THEN SHE STARTED CREATING A LOT OF ENERGY, AND EVERYTHING TOOK OVER.
I DID FEEL THE DOLL WAS WATCHING ME.
EVERY TIME I WALKED IN THE APARTMENT OR LEFT, I FELT HER EYES PIERCING, JUST STARING.
I MEAN, SOMETIMES I HAD TO TURN IT OVER JUST NOT TO LOOK AT I OR JUST MOVE IT.
Wenger: VANINA WANTED ME TO PUT HER IN THE CLOSE FOR A WHILE AND IGNORE HER.
WE DID HEAR SHOUTS COMING OUT OF THERE -- MOANING AND KICKING.
Armendariz: IT STARTED GETTING REALLY CREEPY.
SOMETIMES I JUST GET THE FEELING THAT SOMETHING'S THERE, EVEN IF YOU DON'T SEE I WITH YOUR NAKED EYE.
I START GETTING GOOSE BUMPS.
YOU START FEELING ENERGY.
IT STARTED GETTING REALLY HEAVY, AND I STARTED TAKING PICTURES, AND I SEE THIS THING -- I'M LIKE, "WHAT IS THAT?" Wenger: THERE'S SOME PICTURES WITH A LARGE ORB OVER THE BED.
SHE HAS A BUNCH OF THEM IN DIFFERENT SHAPES.
THE LIGHT SOURCES IN THE BACKGROUND.
Armendariz: AND THE COLORS WERE VERY VIVID.
IT WAS JUST WEIRD.
Wenger: THOSE ORBS ARE DEFINITELY CONNECTED TO THAT DOLL.
Armendariz: EVERYTHING STARTED GOING DOWNHILL IN MY LIFE -- PROJECTS, LOVE LIFE, YOU NAME IT.
I WAS REHEARSING A CHOREOGRAPHY.
OKAY.
FIRST STEP.
AND AS I WAS WATCHING MYSELF DO CERTAIN STEPS, I SAW THROUGH THE CAMERA THINGS GOING AROUND, AND THEN I PLAYED IT BACK, AND YOU CAN SEE A LOT OF ORBS, JUST ENERGY GOING UP AND DOWN.
THERE'S NO DOUBT IN MY MIND THA IT'S A SPIRIT OR AN ENTITY AND THAT IT WAS VERY NEGATIVE -- WHATEVER WAS THERE, FOR SURE.
Wenger: OH, MY GOD.
I WATCHED THE VIDEO LATER, AND I'M LIKE, "WOW.
" THAT WAS WEIRD, YOU KNOW? IT WAS DISTURBING.
IT'S DEFINITELY THE DOLL MANIFESTING.
Armendariz: I THINK SHE WAS TRYING TO SHOW HERSELF OR THE ENTITY.
SOMETIMES THEY USE THAT LIGH TO TRANSMIT THE ENERGY, 'CAUSE THEY WANT TO SHOW YOU THAT THEY'RE THERE.
THEY WANT TO BE ACKNOWLEDGED, AND THEN THEY WANT TO TAKE OVER.
AND THAT'S WHEN EVERYTHING STARTS GETTING DANGEROUS.
THE DOLL WAS CAUSING A LO OF PARANORMAL ACTIVITY IN THE HOUSE.

THE DISHES WOULD MAKE NOISES.

Armendariz: FOR TWO YEARS, IT WAS THAT CONSTANTLY, 24/7.
SHE WOULD DO THINGS, AND IT JUST KEPT ON GOING.
Wenger: AT ONE POINT, THE DOLL GOT AGGRESSIVE.
ALMOST ALL OF HER PETS DIED.
Armendariz: MY FERRET DIED, AND THEN ONE OF MY CATS AND THEN HIS CATS.
WE HAD THREE CATS.
ONE AFTER THE OTHER UNTIL THEY WERE ALL WIPED OUT.

I GOT A LITTLE BIT SCARED, AND I GOT CONCERNED.
I'M NOT GONNA LIE.
WE DID A SAGE CLEANSING AND SOME PRAYERS, BUT IN SOME CASES, THAT WON'T EVEN WORK.
THE ENTITY STAYED THERE.
ACTUALLY, I WAS TAKING PICTURES WHEN I WAS DOING THE SAGE.
IF YOU LOOK CLOSELY, YOU CAN SEE A FACE IN THE WALL -- A SKULL.
THAT WAS A VERY CLEAR MESSAGE.
AFTER THAT, I STARTED GETTING VERY IRRITABLE AND MOOD SWINGS.
I WAS JUST VERY ANGRY, AND I FELT IT WAS COMING FROM HER, BUT I DIDN'T WANT TO SEE IT.
Wenger: THERE WERE SEVERAL POINTS WHERE VANINA BECAME TERRIFIED OF THE DOLL.
SHE DID SUFFER FROM SEVERAL PSYCHIC ATTACKS OR DEMONIC ATTACKS.
Armendariz: AT 3:00 IN THE MORNING, I WOKE UP.
I SEE HER STANDING UP ON THE SIDE OF MY BED -- REALLY HUGE, MASSIVE ENERGY.
I WAS FREAKING OUT.
THAT WAS IT FOR ME.
NOW I KNOW THAT THIS DOLL HAD A DEMONIC ENTITY AND I HAD TO GET RID OF IT.
Wenger: I DIDN'T THINK IT WAS A GOOD IDEA, 'CAUSE THE DOLL WAS DEFINITELY AFFECTING VANINA EMOTIONALLY, AND I WAS CONCERNED THAT SHE MIGHT BE PHYSICALLY HARMED BY IT.

Armendariz: ALL THE ENERGY THAT SHE WOULD DRAW FROM ME, IT WOULD JUST KEEP ME DOWN.
IN ORDER TO GET MY LIFE BACK, I HAD TO DESTROY THE DOLL.
Wenger: VANINA AND ONE OF OUR FRIENDS DID A CEREMONIAL BURNING OF THE DOLL BACK IN THE MOUNTAINS WHERE WE FOUND HER.
Armendariz: WHEN WE BURNED IT, WE RELEASED SOMEBODY'S SPIRI THAT WAS LOCKED IN THERE.
Wenger: MAYBE SOMEBODY DIED IN THAT CANYON DURING THOSE FIRES OR THE FLOODS.
THAT WAS JUST HOW THE DOLL COULD HAVE BEEN POSSESSED.
PROBABLY WASHED DOWN THE MOUNTAIN FROM ONE OF THOSE BURNED-DOWN HOMES.
Armendariz: WHEN THE DOLL WAS GONE, EVERYTHING IN MY LIFE STARTED TURNING AROUND AND BEING MORE POSITIVE.
AFTER SEEING THE PICTURES AND THE VIDEO AND ALL THE EXPERIENCE I HAD, THERE IS NO DOUBT IN MY MIND THAT THIS DOLL WAS DEMONIC.
I KNOW A LOT OF PEOPLE WOULD BE LIKE, "OKAY, YOU'RE CRAZY.
" I'M LIKE, "NO.
I KNOW WHAT I SAW, AND OTHER PEOPLE SAW IT, TOO.

IT HAD A DARK AND NEGATIVE ENERGY ATTACHED TO IT.
IT WAS EVIL AND POWERFUL AND STRONG.

THE DEATH OF ALL THE PETS, AND THE MOANING SOUNDS.
CLEARLY, SHE WAS TALKING TO US FROM THE OTHER SIDE, AND IT DIDN'T STOP UNTIL AFTER THE DOLL WAS BURNED, SO THIS DOLL WAS DEMONIC.
THERE'S NO OTHER EXPLANATION FOR IT.

WHEN THE PICTURE CAME UP, THERE WAS A SHIMMERING WHITE GHOST.

I HAD WORKED IN BELL SYSTEM ENGINEERING NEAR NEW YORK CITY, AND WE USED TO COME BACK TO BEDFORD A COUPLE TIMES A MONTH TO GET AWAY, AND LOVED THE PLACE SO MUCH, I SAID, "I WANT TO BUY A SMALL BUSINESS.
" NOW I'M THE PROUD OWNER OF THE BEDFORD TAVERN.
I'VE FOUND OUT SINCE THAT WHEN YOU'RE SELLING REAL ESTATE, YOU DON'T TEND TO MENTION THAT SOMETHING'S HAUNTED.
I HAD HEARD NOTHING.
YOU KIND OF KEEP THAT STUFF UNDER WRAPS -- LET PEOPLE DISCOVER I ON THEIR OWN.
ONCE YOU DISCOVER IT, THEN PEOPLE WILL COME FORTH WITH THEIR STORIES.
THE FIRST TIME I STARTED TO NOTICE THINGS WERE DIFFEREN WAS ABOUT A YEAR AFTER I OWNED IT.

MY BAR MANAGER LOOKED OVER AT ME AND SAID, "OH, MUST HAVE JUST BEEN A BUILD-UP OF PRESSURE.
" NOW, I'VE BEEN AN ENGINEER FOR 25, 30 YEARS.
IF THERE'S PRESSURE BUILD-UP, THE THING'S GONNA FALL OU OF THE HOLSTER.
IT'S NOT GOING TO RISE UP IN THE AIR AND LOOK AROUND.
SO, THIS WAS CLEARLY NOT JUS OVERBUILD OF PRESSURE IN THE SODA GUN.
THIS PLACE IS HAUNTED.
WE'VE GOT A GHOST.
THE VERY NEXT NIGH AFTER THE SODA-GUN EVENT, ONCE AGAIN, WE WERE CLOSED UP.
THERE WAS NOBODY IN THERE EXCEPT MY BAR MANAGER AND I, AND SHE'S SITTING NEXT TO ME.
A GOOD 60, 80 FEET AWAY, WE HAVE LARGE PEW-LIKE BENCHES.
YOU HEAR ONE OF THESE BENCHES SCOOT BACK AS THOUGH SOMEBODY HAD PULLED I OUT SO THEY COULD SIT DOWN.
AND THEN SCRAPED I BACK FORWARD.
I'M NOT IN A HURRY TO GO FIND SOMETHING, ESPECIALLY IF WE'RE TALKING A GHOST.
I'D MUCH RATHER DO THA DURING DAYLIGHT HOURS.

SHE CAME TO WORK FOR ME LAST YEAR.

THE FIRST THING THAT WEN THROUGH MY MIND WAS, "IT ACTUALLY IS REAL.

"NOW THINGS ARE GONNA START HAPPENING, AND I'M GONNA STAR SEEING SOMETHING.
" I FELT LIKE RUNNING OUT OF THE BAR, TO BE HONEST WITH YOU.
THE NEXT INCIDENT, I WAS WORKING UPSTAIRS IN THE RESTAURANT AGAIN.
JEFF HAD ASKED ME TO GO DOWNSTAIRS INTO THE COOLER AND GET THE EGGS.
THEY WEREN'T THERE.
BACK UPSTAIRS, JEFF TOLD ME, "THEY HAVE TO BE THERE.

Rinscheid: IT DIDN'T OCCUR TO ME AT THE TIME TO TRY TO THINK OF WHO MIGHT BE HAUNTING THE PLACE, BUT AFTER HAVING SEEN MANY OTHER THINGS, GOT A COUPLE OF POSSIBILITIES.
THERE WAS A BARTENDER WHO HAD WORKED THERE 30, 40 YEARS, WHO DIED IN 2003 -- FOUR YEARS BEFORE I BOUGHT THE PLACE.
A LOT OF WHAT WE'VE SEEN WOULD ALMOST INDICATE THIS GENTLEMAN'S STILL WORKING THERE, STILL TRYING TO HELP OUT, 'CAUSE THINGS TEND TO BE AROUND THE BAR AREA.
THE OTHER MOST LIKELY POSSIBILITY COULD BE THAT BEFORE IT WAS A BAR, IT WAS A DRUG STORE.
THE OBITUARY FOR THE OWNER SAID HE WAS A RECLUSE.
NOBODY EVER SAW HIM EXCEP WHEN THE SHOP WAS OPEN, AND HE LIVED IN THE BUILDING.
SO I HAVE TO WONDER -- MAYBE HE'S THE ONE THAT'S "HELPING OUT," MOVING THINGS AROUND AND SUCH.
ONE NIGHT, MY BAR MANAGER WAS COMING ALONG THE FAR SIDE OF THE BAR.

I REACHED OVER, STARTED TO GRAB THE DOOR, AND IT WOULDN'T OPEN.
AND I'M SITTING THERE, GOING, "WAIT A SECOND.
" AND I KNEW I DID NOT LOCK THAT DOOR, SO I'M THINKING, "OKAY.
SOMETHING'S PLAYING WITH ME.
" I BELIEVE THAT THE SPIRI OR THE GHOS OR WHATEVER YOU CALL I LOCKED THAT DOOR.
JOHN CAME TO THE HOTEL INITIALLY TO INVESTIGATE.
HE'S INTO THE PARANORMAL.

WE USUALLY KNOW WHEN MARY'S SPIRIT IS AROUND BECAUSE OF THE SMELL OF ROSES.

HEARING THESE FOOTSTEPS MOMENTS AFTER ENTERING THE BASEMENT, I WASN'T SURE THAT I WAS PREPARED FOR WHAT MIGHT BE COMING NEXT.

HE JUST LOOKED AT ME AND SAID, "I'M TRYING TO FIGURE OU HOW YOU RIGGED THIS.
" Tylutki: I TOOK THE FLASHLIGHT APART, LOOKED AT IT PIECE BY PIECE, AND THERE WASN'T ANYTHING ABNORMAL IN THERE, AND TO ME, THE ONLY WAY I CAN REALLY EXPLAIN IT IS IT MUST HAVE BEEN COMMUNICATING WITH SOMETHING.
