Queer Eye (2018) s05e02 Episode Script
Groomer Has It
1
Okay, boys, do you want to know
who we're helping this week?
Are you for real?
You're blinding me with
that light, Tanny, on the
You're literally gonna blind me.
Okay, her name is Rahanna.
"She is 27, she's from Germantown, PA.
Rahanna owns and operates Stylish Pooch dog grooming.
" "Adding swag to your wag" is my slogan.
If you want your dog pink, or you want me to add some tiger stripes, I'm down for it.
It's dog safe.
Hi, Ben! People always say, "You like dogs more than people.
" Kisses.
Thank you.
I would say yes! "Rahanna was nominated by her parents Jill and Kevin.
" Aww.
She grew up in a household with animals.
They used to call us "The Zoo.
" She would come home from school, she'd do dogs' hair.
I was a groomer at PetSmart for seven years.
On my off days, I would, like, groom out of my house.
I started to get a lot more clients, and that's when I knew.
I was like, "Okay, Rahanna, you always wanted to be a mobile groomer.
It's time to spread your wings and fly.
" She was like, "Mom, do you think I should do it?" I said, "Yes, I do.
" Don't be scared to chase your dream.
It really was a leap of faith.
When I first started out, I would have my equipment, my table, and I would groom out of clients' homes.
I was starting to grow my business.
During that time, she needed an assistant, 'cause she was getting so much business.
"She now works out of a 23-year-old RV.
" Hey! Hi, Diego.
You ready? After a couple of months of having it, it broke down, and then things just started, like, piling up after that.
Tires went - Then the brakes.
- Brakes.
The electricity would go.
How much was the muffler to put back on? Like, 300.
Those were rough.
Yeah.
Then somebody stole her generator.
She does bounce back.
Things happen, and I still have some loyal clients, but I've lost a lot from not being mobile.
For two years now, my RV has been parked in front of my parents' house.
It's just been sitting.
- Oh.
- I just feel like All I want to do is be a great business owner, and I just always feel like, it's always something in the way of that.
She's gotten a little bit depressed around the ups and downs because Life is holding her back.
And I don't want this to be it for her.
I feel like Rahanna does not know her worth.
"She's been in a relationship with her boyfriend for ten years.
His name is Josh.
They've been together since high school - Wow! - they've just moved in together, but there's no proposal in sight.
" Oh, wow.
Ten years! "She is 6'3".
- Gorgeous.
- Beautiful.
She tells everybody, if she could give her height away, - she would.
- She would.
"She hates drawing attention to herself and prefers flats to heels, and leggings to pants.
" I've actually been teased my entire life for being tall.
Like, when I go out, I hear little murmurs from people.
It is kind of uncomfortable.
"Rahanna usually wears a natural hairstyle, but at work, the dog fur and dander often land in her hair, - leading her to wash it away too often.
" - She's got a small business that she's trying to run, and she's an entrepreneur.
This week, Rahanna needs a plan for her business and her life.
She needs the Fab Five's help figuring out how.
Let's help this boss get her bark back.
Oh, my gosh, is that the RV? - Oh, she's oddly sticking out.
- Oh.
Close your mouth.
Good boy.
That is rundown.
All right, let's do this, boys.
Whoo! Do you have time for a walk-in? Oh, my God! Hi! Oh, my gosh.
Hi.
- Hi! - Hi, puppers! Hi, beautiful.
This is like a health and safety issue.
Oh.
All right.
- Hi! - Hi! - Nice to meet you.
- Hi! You guys are so fabulous.
- Whose dog is this? - This is my dog.
- Can I keep him? - I love his rose gold ears.
- I just wanna say, you do God's work.
- Well, thank you.
Yes! A little bathtub, but no water.
Unsafe lighting, hanging over her bathtub.
- It's hot in here.
- Too hot.
Rahanna must have some very faithful clients.
This poor trailer has been through it.
She's what some would call "not working.
" - It got some issues, so - What are your issues? - Tires, brakes and motor.
- Does it drive? All the things that it needs to move.
Right, yes.
- I'm gonna step out.
- Okay.
Grooming bees, too? So, that hat is when I'm doing, like, a really big, hairy dog, and I just got my hair done, I'm trying to save it a little bit.
- I'll put that on, and - I get that.
- Yeah! - Let's not even pretend.
- God know you all sweating.
- Do you do people? I could use, like I could use a little I could do, like, a little, - like a little piece.
- Yeah! - People are not my - No? Okay.
- How long has it been here? - Two years.
- It's been dead for two years? - Yeah.
Before she died, how successful was the business? I was booked out for weeks in advance.
It was going really well.
Perhaps over two years, - you've just been watching your business - Yeah.
I felt like giving up, so I felt like the business kind of just went along with it.
- I get that.
- Yeah.
So, basically, the only thing that's really thrown a wrench in your success - is her.
- Yeah.
This RV clearly helped Rahanna in many ways.
It helped her get her mobile grooming business off the ground, but sometimes in business, you've got to realize, it's time to move on and try something new.
I'm a small business owner.
I made decisions that I thought were the best at the moment, and then ended up costing me more money.
- Yeah.
- So I get it.
I get it.
The only drive I'm seeing a lack of - is the ability to drive this.
- Yes! - Right.
Yeah.
- You seem to have plenty of drive.
Oh, Queen, look at you in all your glory.
Did it hurt when you fell from heaven, girl? Wow! You are gorgeous.
- Your mom and dad live close by? - Yes, they live right here.
Your parents love you.
If my sons tried to move an RV in front of my house, this would've been gone already.
You're using your parents' electricity? - Yes.
- You know that's 'hood as hell.
Oh, is this Mom? What do you think of her stealing your electricity, for goodness' sake? Anything to help her out.
You know, this is not the end-all, be-all, for it to sit right here.
She's gonna get it mobile and running.
She's a hard worker.
She has been at this grooming thing for seven years, but when she does get it off the ground, it seems like things start just happening.
What have you been able to accomplish in the past three and a half years - that you're really proud of? - I pretty much just do what I can.
I'm grateful for the fact that I still can work in it.
I still have some clients who are loyal, who come - They bring their dogs here? - Yeah, they do.
You must be good, if they're coming out here.
- How long you had the business? - Three and a half years.
That's nothing.
The first five years are always a [BLEEPS.]
show.
- Always a [BLEEPS.]
show.
- It does feel like a [BLEEPS.]
show.
But the fact that you're still in it, that's amazing.
- Come on, my love.
Come with me.
- Okay.
When I was a business owner, I was struggling through my first few years of business.
You get to the point where you can't see the wood for the trees, you don't know how to get out.
I'm seeing what needs to change, we get that.
So, I guess I want to understand, what was the dream? What is the dream? I definitely want to have a fleet of mobile grooming trucks, eventually.
- Love that.
Franchise that - I do want to have a stationary RV.
- Yeah.
- Yes.
I do eventually want to have dog clothes.
- Yeah.
- I wanna have dog treats, dog food, and I definitely, definitely want to do a dog show.
It's been one of my passions, too.
- Is that what this kind of is all about? - A little! - Okay.
Okay, great.
- I want to be able to show my work.
All the colors and unique styles that I do on dogs.
- Then, let's get you on the way to that.
- Okay.
If you can bathe me in here real quick.
It's big enough for me.
All right, now it's time to come and see your house.
Yeah, let's go.
- Queen.
- See you.
- Bye.
We'll see you soon.
- Promise we'll take the best care of her.
Bye-bye! - Very cute apartment complex.
- Yes.
- How long have you lived here? - A month.
Okay.
- Let's do it.
- Okay.
Girl, yes.
- Hey! - Oh! - What's your name? - I'm Josh.
- Hey, Josh.
- Hey, how are you? - Hey.
Nice to meet you.
- Hey, Josh.
Karamo.
Nice to meet you.
- Show us around.
- Let's divide and conquer.
- All right, so - Divide and conquer what? - Working with a blank slate.
- Yes! All right, so sofa, TV, living room.
Popcorn maker.
No shame in that, you're allowed.
Nailed it.
I fought for it.
I nailed it.
Tens all around! All right.
Camping.
- Hmm.
- There's a lot of tubs in here.
This literally feels like the house of a 22-year-old.
Mnh-mnh.
Mnh-mnh.
- What's going on in here? - Y'all How are you supposed to make sensual love on an air mattress? How many air mattresses have we been through, y'all, just popping them? They're, like, $600 sneakers.
You can afford a mattress.
I have found my glory, ladies.
Yes, yes, yes! I'm a bald man.
Something happens to me when a wig comes on.
Make it jiggle, make it bounce.
Make it jiggle I feel like me again.
I feel whole.
- I am ready for the strip club! - Yeah! - Stop it, you're confusing Josh.
- Sorry! Turn away! Get out! Get out! Get out! This is my life.
I'm living.
- This is it? - No, I have more clothes in the bins.
I work all the time, so I'm usually in, like, tights, - and biker shorts, and T-shirts.
- Where do you shop? I do a lot of my shopping online.
I do a website called Long Tall Sally, they also have long jeans and stuff like that.
- Big shoes.
- Okay.
So sorry.
Jonathan said to put the wig back.
- I want the wig so bad.
- I'm so sorry.
Oh, my! It's oh, it's tea.
Can we spend some time outside and chat? - Yes.
- Come on.
- Do you only go for flats? - I do, most of the time.
I do have some heels, but I don't really wear them at all.
- I'm already tall.
- Can I see them? They're in the closet.
I actually made these.
Oh, you shaved off some dog hair and put it in a shoe! Real cute.
So, you will wear them every now and then? - Very rarely.
- I look at you, thinking, "What's she afraid of? She looks hot.
" - Thank you.
- So, I'm gonna just highlight that.
Ten years has been a long time.
Have you seen her change and the business change? She's always been that go-getter type of woman.
However, because of the business not going the way she wanted it to go and because of me hurting her, it just seemed like it was just a big hole that she couldn't really get out of.
- What does that mean? - I betrayed her, with her trust.
I'm very surprised by Josh.
I wasn't expecting any of this.
How has that affected your relationship? A lot.
Like, she felt like there was no hope, like everything was coming down on her.
You know, I finally decided, like, this is not the person that I want to be.
We're doing a lot more, trying to keep ourselves active.
Hanging out with friends, but you know, I know that she's hurting still from it.
And then, on top of that, you're moving into a place together, so you're not fully healed from that, but you've decided to take the next step.
Yeah.
I just want to show her and show others in her corner that she didn't make a bad decision on the man that she chose.
Let me see your little naily-nailies.
Girl, pretty.
Maybe we could just treat you to a little bit of pampering.
- Okay.
- Okay, love.
Let's do it.
I guess we should get this week started.
Are we all ready for this? - Okay.
- I gotta say goodbye to the location where I secured my first gold medal Olympic, - living room performance? - Yes, we do.
- For now.
- Bye, arena.
- Yes.
- Come on, let's do this.
- Yeah! - Let's go.
I really hope that Rahanna can see, every failure you have is just another lesson that helps you become an even bigger success.
Rahanna has a lot of hopes and dreams for Stylish Pooch, and I want to show her, if you have an idea you can turn it into an action.
You just have to take the first step.
Rahanna chooses to wear purely workout clothes every day, to avoid being seen.
I don't want her to ever feel like she has to dim her shine for anyone.
Rahanna is the caretaker, and I love that about her, but it's really time to help Rahanna see her potential and learn her worth so that she can empower herself to make better decisions moving forward.
Because of what happened in the relationship, she doesn't know how to get out of this rut, so I'm gonna help her to figure out how to heal herself, till she starts to trust her instincts as she moves forward as an entrepreneur.
Milady.
- Welcome to our townhouse.
- Hi, sweetheart.
How are you? - Good, how are you? - Have a seat, love.
Would you like coffee? - Uh, sure.
- Okay, good.
I wanted to bring her by 'cause I wanted you to be able to discuss - with Tan and I at the same time.
- Bobby's got an incredible idea.
A doggy fashion show.
That's a good idea.
Rahanna's always wanted to do a doggy fashion show, but she's never been able to put it together.
She's never had the funds.
So I want to take this opportunity to put together a doggy fashion show for her.
I think this would be a beautiful way to market your business because it brings in new customers, it gets your brand out there.
So, we're gonna close off the street, and we're gonna have a big old runway, where all the dogs in the neighborhood will come through - in their cute outfits.
- Yes, I love it.
First of all, I love a fashion show, but for me, it's more important that you start to pivot your business.
Bobby and I both are business people.
We know how difficult it is.
- Those first few years are incredibly problematic.
- Yeah.
I got the talent, but I don't have, like, boss.
You've proven that your concept is a success.
- Yeah.
- You just had an RV, who she She just couldn't do it anymore.
Bobby's hit hard times in business.
I've hit really, really hard times where I couldn't afford a coffee three years into my business.
You just have to find another way to pivot.
Think, "Okay, that didn't work.
What else have I got in my arsenal?" I never thought I would end up making women's wear.
I started out with menswear.
It didn't matter.
I had a dream and it was way bigger than the one thing I was doing.
You want to be grooming.
Wonderful.
That doesn't mean there's only one way to do it.
Think differently, think smarter.
I'm gonna leave you with that.
Okay.
Give me a hug, my love.
- Thank you.
- I'm getting excited for the show.
The fashion show's gonna be so much fun.
- All right, my love.
- Thank you.
I'll see you later.
Bye, sweetheart.
I think one thing that you've already learned is how important marketing and branding is.
You gotta build on that.
Oh, my God! - Is that Bennie? - Of course.
Bennie's where it all started.
To me, it represents you and your brand, and then Oh, my goodness! We worked on some branding for you with Vistaprint.
- Oh, my gosh, I love it.
- These cute little rack cards, these are the type of things that you will take to doormen at buildings.
And look at this cute little loyalty program.
Every five grooms, you get 25% off.
- Oh, my gosh.
- Then we did business cards.
- Okay.
- So, the business cards, we can do on either the square or rectangle.
I'm so hyped about Bennie being in it, though.
I love it.
Thank you.
My dog grooming business, it's my baby, really.
It's my child.
I really love all the advice that you guys are giving me.
I really don't have anyone to give me business advice, so this is really great.
I really appreciate it.
- Do you know where we're going? - No.
You have no idea? - I have no idea.
- Can you take a wild guess? Look at the poochie! Pet boutique and bakery.
Yay! - After you.
- Okay.
This is so exciting.
- We're here to expand your business.
- Okay, cool.
We talked a little about doggy biscuits.
- Yes.
- So, we're gonna have a bit of swag - for the puppy fashion show.
- Okay, cool.
This is gonna be something that you're gonna be able to give guests.
That little swag bag is gonna be a taste of Rahanna's new doggy treats, - then they can come back and buy some.
- Yes.
- We want repeat customers, right? - Yes.
Definitely.
- Do you like pretzels? - I do.
I love pretzels - You like peanut butter? - especially chocolate-covered ones.
- Dogs can't have chocolate, we know that.
- They definitely can't, no.
We're gonna start out with the garbanzo flour.
And then peanut butter powder.
We're gonna add a little bit of flaxseed meal.
These, I actually let soak in a bit of water.
It has a really nice gelatinous consistency, so it acts as a binder to keep the pretzel together.
- Okay.
- Because we want a crunch.
We've gotta work on our dog's teeth as well.
A lot of the best bones work on their teeth.
- Right.
- This stuff is extremely high in fiber.
We want them to be regular.
- Poopies are very important for dogs.
- Right.
So, you're gonna whisk this up.
Water is gonna help.
This smells so good.
So, the only way to do this, you're gonna have to go in with your hands.
- Okay.
- We want to start by making a little ball.
And then, you're just gonna gently roll it out.
- Right.
- Do you know how to make a pretzel? You kind of do it like a heart shape, right? - Yeah.
- You literally can eat it.
It's all healthy, fresh, human food.
If you can't eat it yourself, it shouldn't be fed to your dog.
Really.
That's what you need to put on the label of every single one of those.
So, what are some other ways that you wanna see your business grow? I eventually want to do, like, dog clothing.
I've always had the same vision, but I do add to it every now and then.
Whether it's work or personal matters, as we get older, - our needs change, you know? - Yeah.
Do you feel like your needs in the relationship have shifted from when you were 17 to where you're 27 now? Definitely grew together, and I do still feel like there's room for growth.
We've been through a whole lot in the past, but I think he's trying.
I think it's like constantly having that conversation and being able to be like, "Hey, let's check in.
" - Right.
- Josh has his needs, you have yours.
- Yeah.
- Sometimes it can be awkward as hell, but you never know until you have that talk.
Exactly.
- Bake it at 350 for 15 minutes.
- Okay.
Can I dance now? Excellent.
So with a little bit of the egg wash, you can lightly brush over the surface like this.
Now we're gonna coat these sesame seeds just like this.
- And they kind of cling to it nicely.
- Look at that.
And then we're ready for the final phase, tasting.
Good.
- Such a satisfying crunch.
- Yeah.
- Bennie is gonna love it.
- Swag.
A different definition, but still swag.
Okay, my love, come on through.
- You look real nervous.
- I am.
- Why? It's just me.
- I don't know.
The reason why I wanted to bring you here is because they have a tall section at Old Navy, - so everything is appropriate for you.
- Okay.
When you come shopping, - what is it you're looking for? - Mostly jeans.
That's always, like, my number one 'cause I'm always wearing jeans.
You don't wear jeans to work.
Sometimes I feel it gets a little messy at work.
- Okay.
- My jeans are my going out But I do think I should step it up some.
- Let me show you over here something.
- Okay.
Old Navy has durable denim.
You can wear this to death, and it's not going to get damaged easily.
Most people don't work in an environment where jeans are most appropriate for work.
- However, it would be a step up - Okay.
- from cycling shorts.
- Okay! - You're particular about the length.
- Yes.
The length is always an issue.
I get that.
It's actually really difficult to shop for my height also.
- Okay.
- Do you embrace your height? Yes and no.
Like, me and my sister, or, like, a friend of mine, if we're getting ready to go out, I'm super excited, I feel good.
- Good.
- The minute I get there, I, like, shut down and feel like I don't want to be here.
Tell me why.
- Because of the whole, like - You're worried that people stare? Yeah.
My friends, they're super petite, and they'll get all the attention, and I'm just, like, off in a corner.
Come here.
I get it.
Of course that's gonna be hard.
But you've got something so special.
I can say it till I'm blue in the face, and you won't believe it until you believe it.
You are gorg, Rahanna.
Thank you.
- Me saying that isn't gonna correct this.
- Mm-hmm.
It is a lifetime of seeing yourself negatively, - and that's not gonna change overnight.
- Yeah.
Maybe part of it is seeing your proportions the way I see it.
Let's play with that and see if that works.
Okay.
When you go shopping, do you go alone? No, if I do go shopping, which is very rare - Yeah.
Okay.
- it's with my mom or my sister.
- My mom is like my hype man.
- Good.
So, if you want to step in here for me.
- Hey, Mom! - Hey! Hey! - Come out! Come out! Come out! - Oh, man.
Who better to help me shop than her mom? - Look how good Mom looks.
- She does.
She looks really good.
I want to get to the point where we can encourage Rahanna to see her height as a positive.
I want her to be here to remind Rahanna she's beautiful just the way she is.
I just want to see how low it goes.
I love a bit of cleave.
It's not a pencil.
What it does is, if you let it flare slightly, you can see how beautifully shaped your legs are.
Focus on your legs for a second.
- Do you see that? Like, nothing there.
- Yeah.
Sexy as fu How do you feel about your height in this? - I would totally wear this.
- Okay, good.
These heels are comfortable, too.
- And they nice.
- I know you don't need it for the height, but I think it's gonna make you stand in a different way.
Wear them often.
Like, show people - you don't give a - Okay! - Are you seeing me, Mother? - I see you, daughter.
- Can you see me? - Okay.
Watching Rahanna in a pair of heels walk so confidently makes me feel like we're starting to evolve.
We're starting to realize that maybe our height is something to be embraced.
- Your jeans.
Comfortable, right? - Mm-hmm.
I like that.
She always has an issue with her length.
Why couldn't you work in that? - You can still groom the dogs.
- I could.
You said your goal and your dream was to become a franchise.
- You want to run an empire.
- Yeah.
I wouldn't take cycling-short lady seriously, but I'd take this lady seriously.
- Okay! - When it gets colder in the morning, - you're on your way to work - This blazer is, like, everything.
- I love the blazer on you.
- I like that whole look.
Yeah, and it's so long.
- Ready to get changed? Thank you.
- Yes.
Great.
- Did we nail it? - You nailed it.
This is why I could never be a waiter.
I'm walking, like - Yeah, right? - like this better not drop.
Black folks having afternoon tea.
How cool.
I feel royal and regal right now.
Or we can do a bit of Get Out.
Somebody's about to go into the sunken place, quickly.
I don't know who it's about to be, but I have a feeling it's about to be Josh.
Sorry, girl.
- You two have decided to move in together.
- Yeah.
Why did you make this choice? We've been together for so long, and we haven't lived together.
I feel like it's a step up, like, moving forward and trusting each other.
- Like, we're together all the time.
- Spending time together is not talking.
Just because you sit next to somebody, there's a million things in your heads, is that what's happening? - Yeah.
- Yeah.
This is a young couple that's had their ups and downs.
I have to help Rahanna get past the doubts she's having in herself, so that she can feel confident as she moves forward in her relationship and her business.
After you told me that you had cheated, it started to connect the dots.
That lack of trust here is playing into your ability at work.
When I saw your RV, I saw a woman who life started to bury her, and she started to not trust that she could dig herself out of it.
Part of that is coming from this.
I just want the best for her, like I messed everything up, so it plays a part in, not just the relationship, but her business.
Like, this is where she's making her money at.
I just want to get back to before that, when we was happy.
Part of not being able to move forward is because you have to be able to communicate about it honestly and openly and consistently.
I know what I did in the past, and I don't like to see her upset.
So, when I feel like we're at a state where we're good - Yeah.
- I don't wanna bring it back up.
I kind of want to leave that old me in the past.
But your past actions are still affecting your present.
Sometimes I think that we're not gonna be able to move forward from it.
Yeah, how often do those questions pop into your head? - Very often.
Very often.
- Yeah.
And it's hard.
I just want to be able to trust you again.
It's not fair for you all to have these things that are looming, that are causing you all to not have the ability to grow individually and then also grow together.
So, what question do you have with him about this? Will you cheat on me again? No.
My feelings are way too valuable to keep going through this situation.
Yeah.
Do you believe that if it becomes too much, - that you can leave him? - Yes.
Do you believe that if you do it again, that she'll leave you? - Yeah.
- If it isn't gonna work, then I'm out.
- Yeah.
- I'm done.
You gotta let this go, if it's not going to make you happy.
But if you both are willing to try, gotta both be clear about what you need in clear action.
Otherwise, he's gonna be thinking, "I'm already doing it.
" And you're gonna be thinking, "You ain't doing it yet.
" That will be the first step, building a relationship where you two are communicating properly.
- Does that work? - Yeah.
- Sounds good.
- That make me fall in love.
Come with me, I'm gonna take you to my little baby lair.
- Okay.
- Ugh.
Can I take your hair down? - Of course.
- Okay.
So, my thought for the fashion show - Have you ever had a snatched braid? - No.
Whatever look you're trying to complement, braids really go with them.
They are versatile.
They last for weeks.
I do want to make you feel gorgeous, but at the same time, you are taking care of dogs.
- That's part of my thinking in this, too.
- Right.
She doesn't have time to be dealing with her hair every single morning.
She's got dogs' hair to do, honey.
When I do hair, like, if you notice, my hair is back.
I don't really do hair with my hair down, 'cause I just don't like hair in my face.
- We can do braids.
Okay.
- I think that'd be kind of snatch.
- Let's put it right back.
- You look really cute, by the way.
- You look really cute, by the way.
- You think so? Yes! Come with me, I'll wash your hair.
Yes? So rinse, so clean.
Okay.
When it comes to braids that last, that is not my strong suit, so that's where Kadie comes in.
- Do you want a little red wine? - Yes.
Thank you.
Do you wear braids a lot? I wear braids, but I usually get, like, box braids or goddess braids.
- I like my braids super long.
- How long? Do you think past your butt? - To my butt is good.
- Okay.
- 'Cause we don't want it to wear her.
- Yeah.
Yes - Yes.
- Ooh, and it doesn't hurt! Who's your favorite client? - Are they gonna be here tomorrow? - Yes.
They are? Have you been grooming them for a long time? - Yeah, about two years.
- How long have you been doing it? Nine years.
What do you want to take from your experiences so far into your future? I definitely feel like being patient.
Especially with the ups and downs of being a business owner.
I also lowball myself a lot in my business.
- Oh! - Yes.
When I was doing hair, every year, every price went up five bucks.
My clients were never surprised about that.
Knowing our worth and sticking to our worth and charging our worth, is so important in the service industry because when you're your own business owner, you have to advocate for yourself 'cause no one else is gonna do it.
And you deserve to make your money, you deserve to maintain your clients, and you deserve to charge what you're worth.
Cheers.
Love.
Yes, use that hairspray.
Whoa! Slay her down! Hashtag, like, BlackGirlMagic.
Very much.
Can't handle, so gorg.
Oh, my God, let's take this off of her.
The new Rahanna.
- Honey, she came to slay.
- You see me? - Ready to come see you? - Yes.
- Okay, ready? - Yes.
New Rahanna, she's stunning, and she's ready for you to see her in three, two, one.
Oh, my gosh, it looks so pretty.
- Yes! - Right? - See these details? - I do, they are amazing.
I love it.
Thank you for blessing us with your gorgeous fingers and your time, Kadie.
- You really slayed it.
- Thank you for having me.
- Do you love your hair? - Yes.
So beautiful.
Let's go slay the day.
- Are you nervy but excited? - Yes, I can't wait.
I'm so excited to see.
We're here! Oh, my God! - Hi! - Hi! - Hey! - Hello! - Oh, hi, my love.
It's good to see you.
- What is that, 22 inches? - You see? - You look so good.
Come on in.
- Oh, gosh.
It looks so good! - What do you think? - This is my house? - Yeah! It looks like a magazine.
Oh, my God.
You guys are, like, the best.
I love it.
You guys are so awesome.
Oh-ho-ho! - Ready to see more? - Yes.
Look at the olive! Oh, my gosh! A new light.
You love animals, so I tried to put them everywhere I could.
So cute! I cannot believe this is my house.
- I can't.
- Believe it, girl.
- I can't.
- You have to, though.
Oh, my God, look at my room! Now you've got a nice big bed that you're not gonna hang off of.
That is so great.
Oh! Oh, my God, it's so beautiful! Mm! - You've even got a seating area.
- And they swivel! I wanted to make sure that you had a space where you can come in here, pop your feet up on the bed, read a book Self-care.
Your space affects your creative mind and having this space, it will impact all the areas of your life, your business, your relationship.
It's fab.
I don't even wanna leave.
I feel bossy bitch up in here.
I do.
Okay, I didn't get you many leggings.
I wanted to give you options that are gonna be good for you to work in.
That are durable, that you can actually feel like, "Okay, I own this place.
" - Okay.
- I know you like long, flowy situations, - so I got you versions - Ooh, I love this! And it's a version of something you already know, - Mm-hmm.
- but then team it with something like - a great-fitting pair of jeans.
- Right.
- High-waisted.
- Yes.
And it's gonna feel a lot more young, modern.
I want the boys to see you in the jeans, 'cause your ass is insane, - and I want them to see your ass in that.
- Oh, this ass? That one right there.
That beautiful one right there.
Boys, are you ready? Yeah! Okay, what do you think? - Oh, girl.
- Oh, my God, that shoe.
- That shoe.
Oh, my God! - Hey! - Oh, my God! Oh, my God! - Yes! Your legs! Tan, not that you don't always do a good job, - but this is like wow! - Slay.
- Next level.
- Now you see it? Yeah! - How do you feel? - I feel good.
- I love the jacket.
- With your hair! - I can't.
- Yes! How do you feel about this little baby heel? - I know we talked about heels - It's really comfortable.
It really is.
- Model status.
- I think we're ready for the fashion show.
- We are? - Let's go! - Yeah.
- We got a show to do! - You ready? - Yes.
- My love, after you.
- Okay.
Are we just doing it right here, with our outfit? Good job, Tanny.
Here you go.
- That's for you.
- Yeah, over here.
That's cute.
Yes, madame.
Go, go, yes, yes! Okay it's Home Alone 1, and everyone's about to go to Paris, but in this case, Stylish Pooch has got its first-ever fashion show to put on.
No French tuck.
You may lose points for it.
That's all.
Thank you.
We're leaving no one behind.
Bobby and Karamo are on hype and planning.
One for the bag, one for Walter! Antoni is on treats.
Bark if you like pretzels.
Come on, final look.
Tan is on being ruthlessly judgmental of all these poor pooches.
Ooh, it's a little bit scraggly.
Don't embarrass us, you're our house dog.
I'm on glam.
A full face of makeup.
We are so excited for Rahanna's gorgeous business reset branding moment, to make people listen to the fact that Stylish Pooch is here to stay, and she's about to be, like, mobile again.
A full face of makeup.
- To the gods? - Yes.
- Happy.
- I like to see goddesses.
Okay.
Ta-da! It's gorgeous.
Look at that dog! Yes.
Hey, look at me! - Rahanna.
- Yes.
It's time.
Everyone's pumped, everyone's excited.
Let's bring it in before I get out there.
- Let's do "pawpin.
'" - Pawpin'! Three, two, one Pawpin'! It's show time.
How is everybody doing tonight? This night is about Stylish Pooch, one of the best pooch grooming businesses in Philadelphia.
Our three fabulous - celebrity judges - Jonathan! Jonathan Van Ness, Antoni Porowski and Bobby "Bark.
" "Bark"! Mwah! We also have our very own Anna Wintour.
Let's give it up for Tanny France! She's already unamused.
But this show is not about any of us.
Give a big round of applause for the owner and creator of Stylish Pooch, Rahanna! Show them what you got.
Yes, honey! Everyone go to Stylish Pooch, follow on Instagram.
- Yes! - Now, the judges will be judging on two categories, swag and wag.
You got that, judges? - Yeah! - Swag refers to the dog's outfit, and wag is all about the attitude.
So, please, Rahanna, tell everyone about your journey - with Stylish Pooch.
- Okay.
Um - Sorry.
- We got you.
Take your time Go ahead, take your time.
Stylish Pooch has been a crazy journey, lots and lots of ups and downs.
Grooming is my passion, and it has always been my passion.
I love animals.
But the biggest thing for me is to be what I always wanted to be, a mobile dog groomer.
Making dogs look cute, adding swag to their wag.
- Are we ready to get the show started? - Ready.
All right! Are you all ready to see the fashion show? Diego is a mighty protector, who looks after his brother Timmy.
They are absolutely "paw-fect.
" Red's the color of the season.
Tens across the board! Those first two were groomed by our very own.
Is this next one groomed by you? Okay.
But it will be.
- Yes.
- But it will be.
Next up, we have Francine Flowers.
- Sounds like a drag name, and I love it! - Come through.
That wig is taking me out.
It's the '80s, and she is ready to come and swag.
Next up, we have Marley.
- She puts the "gold" back in Golden Girls! - Yes.
Rahanna is slaying it.
Snickers is 15 and hasn't lost the pep in his step.
I know, that's right.
Look at that mustache.
Work it.
So French.
Come on out, Yogi and Keenan.
- Yogi is also one of my clients.
- Yes! This is the Rahanna that the world needs to see.
That grooming is impeccable.
Well done, sir! Oh, look at that.
We got tens across the board.
- Little Gremlin! - Tens.
- She's a Hawaiian goddess.
- Eight! Meatball is single and ready to fla-mingle.
Aww! Definitely ten.
Bella is a sweet baby girl with a smile that lights up the town.
- Florals for spring.
- Yes, rock it, Bella.
Groundbreaking.
Look at the ears.
Look at those ears! Oh, Antoni, we'll call this the corgi parade.
There is a corgi orgy - waiting for you.
- Oh, my God! Oh, my God! Oh, my God! Get in there, Antoni.
All these corgis are for you, love.
I love you so much! I love you.
Antoni, we've got a show to do, move it along.
Ten Ten.
Ninety-one! That was cute! Anna Wintour, are you impressed? Everyone, give it up for Walter.
His fashion sense is out of this world.
Tanny is jealous.
Why did we put Walter in a trash bag? Not only is this our final dog of the evening, but this dog was recently styled by our very own Rahanna.
So, give it up for dog, Lulu.
She is in a rock band, and she loves it.
Add some color, make her cute.
I could do that.
- Rahanna, that's amazing.
- Thank you.
Give it up again for all of our stylish pooches tonight.
Also, give it up for our very amazing, Rahanna.
Yes, bitch! Judges, we're gonna head inside to deliberate.
Go, babe! Go! Go! Go! Go! This is coming from a purely objective place, but I definitely think the corgis.
- The corgis? - They did the least.
It was so basic.
Fashion shows really bring out the worst in you, Tan, I have to say.
Eighties girl is third, dinosaur dog is second, - Yes.
- No.
I'm not agreeing.
- The gymnastics one is - No! Gymnastics owner looked better than the dog.
- You didn't like the wig? - If somebody had a wig that wasn't staying on, we would all read that.
As the CEO of the Stylish Pooch, she gets to make the final call.
If Rahanna is happy that's all I care about.
Oh, my God! Shh! Okay, Bobby, can I announce? I'll call you all when I'm ready.
Welcome back.
We have a winner, and that winner is Rahanna! Stylish Pooch is back in business, baby.
Oh, my God, it's so beautiful.
- Did she expect this? - No.
Oh, my goodness, you guys are the best.
Does she deserve this? Yes.
Is it extra as hell? Absolutely.
But what else would you expect from us? - You don't understand - No, y'all don't understand.
how much this means to me.
I had so many people say, "Oh, my God, we're gonna help you " And nothing ever happens.
And you guys You guys You guys mean so much to me.
This is your fresh start.
Never stop believing in yourself.
You've had it all along.
You hit a hard time, but you are destined for even greater things than you can imagine.
Yes, thank you.
I'm so ready for the new and improved Rahanna and Stylish Pooch, - and it's all because of you guys.
- We believe in you so much.
What are you? A Boss bitch.
Okay? We'll hug again.
Hug again.
Failure is really just a matter of perception.
We're proud of you.
What we have to do is just keep going until we get the next yes.
Dog treat? When we keep focused on what it is that we love to do, there is no limit to what the universe can have in store for us.
Oh, my gosh, it's so cute.
I'm feeling gorgeous.
Okay? I learned to love myself, be patient with myself and my business.
Good.
You can't move forward if you don't let go of the past.
Stylish Pooch is back mobile, and we about to add swag to the city's wag, okay? I want you to bang it out.
Get it, girl! You better give it, Beyoncé, yes! Yes! I'm letting go of the past! Whoo! Bye-bye, baby! Out with the old.
Let's start anew.
And that's how you do it.
Take that!
Take that!
