[Terry narrating]
[Prince Karim] Xadia needs you.
Sol Regem, the Sun King.
[Sol Regem] Go… away.
[Ezran] Two dark mages
are traveling through Xadia
trying to unleash
an ancient and mysterious evil.
Great dragons,
I beseech you, help us find them.
[Terry] Your dad's sick, Claudia.
Dad! You're alive!
[Callum] A weapon that can end
a Startouch Elf's mortal existence.
The weapon. We found the answer!
[Rayla] There's too many this time.
[growling nearby]
[Callum] Remember, even one scratch,
and you'll be corrupted.
[roaring]
[opening theme music playing]
[Ezran] On the eastern coast of Xadia,
we used an ancient rune-beacon
to summon the Great Archdragon
of Ocean, Domina Profundis.
She revealed to me the true nature
of Aaravos' prison.
The true nature?
Let's just say
the prison is not what it seems.
Domina couldn't tell me
where the prison is,
but she did tell me someone
who might know how to find it.
Oh, "Domina" now, huh?
First name basis
with legendary dragons, must be nice!
It is nice. Isn't it, Zym?
-[squeaks]
-[laughs]
Domina told me
that the great Archmage Akiyu,
a Tidebound Elf, built the magical prison.
If Akiyu made it,
then she must know where it is.
Then we can stop Viren and Claudia
from releasing Aaravos.
Or, hear me out,
at the library we learned
about the Novablade,
a mythical sword
that can kill a Startouch Elf.
It's protected by an ancient sect
of Skywing Elves
called the Celestial elves
at the Starscraper,
this unbelievably high tower,
far, far north beyond the Frozen Sea.
How ‘bout we hitch a dragon ride up there,
borrow this Novablade,
then we wait for Aaravos to get out,
and just stab, stab, buh-bye, bad guy.
Wait, slow down.
Shouldn't that be the last resort?
If we can stop Aaravos
from getting out at all,
we can solve this without any violence.
I wish we had time for that, but Claudia
and Viren are days ahead of us.
Aaravos could be out already.
Aww. Oh, no.
You're making me
the deciding vote, aren't you?
This wound doesn't look good.
It's all magic-y and goopy, ugh.
[sighs] I've suffered worse.
I just want to humbly suggest
that whatever the team does next,
you take a break.
Okay? Just stay here and rest,
that's what you need to heal.
Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't realize
you were a dragon doctor.
And drink plenty of fluids.
[chuckles]
I will be fine, sweet human.
[Ezran] It's decided.
We're going to meet
the great Archmage Akiyu.
No ordinary healing spell
can restore Sol Regem's sight.
It will require something
impossibly rare, a sun seed.
But destiny favors us, Pharos.
My sister Janai has a sun seed,
and we will take it.
How fortuitous.
But if it is her sun seed we seek,
why are we in the Moonshadow Forest?
Because there's someone here
who can get the seed for us.
Kim'dael, the Bloodmoon Huntress.
He hasn't said a word
since he came out of his fever-thing.
I'm worried.
Looks healthy though, yeah?
Seems to be fine otherwise.

he's not eating,
he's not talking,
he's completely catatonic.

back to life is starting to fade?
Archmage Akiyu lives beyond the tidepools.
I'm going back to the Storm Spire
to gather my strength
but I will return
to this exact spot at sundown.

and make friends with them.

[clears throat]
[blows]
Oh, wise and very dangerous archmage,
master of the briny deep.

A ragtag squad of bold adventurers.
Some ragtag weirdos.
Mm-hmm. Right.
That's what I thought.

Oh, yeah, that's me. Ah, sky mage mostly.
I mean, I've read, like, everything
about the other primal sources,
and I feel like I might be getting close
to a breakthrough
on the ocean arcanum any day now.
But actually you're an ocean mage, do you
have any tips or tricks or cryptic hints?
When your mind is telling you to speak,
instead you must listen.
Oh, wow, that does sound
like some deep ocean arcanum wisdom.
It's just a polite way of saying,
"Shut up already, will you?"
Now stick out your hand.
You'll need this.
It's an enchanted amulet.
The magic's already kind of baked in,
so even the Wizard of Awkward here
should be able to make it work.
But what's it for?
Ah! Haven't you asked enough questions?
You'll figure it out! Now go!
Scram! Outta here!
[grumbles]
[laughing]
[Pharos] Are you sure about this?
Something doesn't feel right.
[Prince Karim] What do you mean?
You aspire to return us
to the glory of the Sun,
to restore the purity of its light.
Perhaps we should not be seeking
the assistance of someone of this ilk.
-Shh, don't say another word.
-What?
I mean only to warn you…
[gasps]
Someone of my ilk?
Oh, don't let me interrupt.
What ilk am I, exactly?
Say it!
What were you going to say?
[Pharos speaks hoarsely] Someone evil.
You can take the blood of my servant
or you can listen to me.
I am Prince Karim,
and I am the son of the daughter
of the daughter of Queen Aditi,
who spared your life.
[pants]
Would you like to repay your mercy debt?
We have everything we need.
A map. An amulet.
Or, uh, is it a talisman?
What's the difference?

and I feel like I might be getting close
to a breakthrough
on the ocean arcanum any day now.
But actually you're an ocean mage, do you
have any tips or tricks or cryptic hints?
When your mind is telling you to speak,
instead you must listen.
Oh, wow, that does sound
like some deep ocean arcanum wisdom.
It's just a polite way of saying,
"Shut up already, will you?"
Now stick out your hand.
You'll need this.
It's an enchanted amulet.
The magic's already kind of baked in,
so even the Wizard of Awkward here
should be able to make it work.
But what's it for?
Ah! Haven't you asked enough questions?
You'll figure it out! Now go!
Scram! Outta here!
[grumbles]
[laughing]
[Pharos] Are you sure about this?
Something doesn't feel right.
[Prince Karim] What do you mean?
You aspire to return us
to the glory of the Sun,
to restore the purity of its light.
Perhaps we should not be seeking
the assistance of someone of this ilk.
-Shh, don't say another word.
-What?
I mean only to warn you…
[gasps]
Someone of my ilk?
Oh, don't let me interrupt.
What ilk am I, exactly?
Say it!
What were you going to say?
[Pharos speaks hoarsely] Someone evil.
You can take the blood of my servant
or you can listen to me.
I am Prince Karim,
and I am the son of the daughter
of the daughter of Queen Aditi,
who spared your life.
[pants]
Would you like to repay your mercy debt?
We have everything we need.
A map. An amulet.
Or, uh, is it a talisman?
What's the difference?
Now we just need to beat Claudia
and Viren to the Sea of the Castout.
Good thing we know someone who can
get us there at the speed of dragon.
[gibbers]
[chuckles]
Your mom.
She should be here
to pick us up any minute.
[Soren] Any minute.
[whining]
[heartbeat thudding]
[growling]
[ominous music plays]
[closing theme music playing]
