The Amazing Race Australia (2011) s05e08 Episode Script
Season 5, Episode 8
Previously on The
Amazing Race Australia
Let's frickin' go!
In the most epic adventure on earth
My biggest fear are actually crocodiles.
..the competition went wild in Darwin.
Welcome to the race, MJ and Chelsea.
The new stowaways. 100% is a curve ball.
The Super Sikhs
- That's it!
- ..sped to victory.
And you are first team to check in.
And our stowaways proved
they've got what it takes.
- Third team to check in.
- Yes!
We're professional athletes,
so we do like to win.
- Tonight
- Let's go catch some barra!
- ..as our NT adventure continues
- They're so slippery!
..teams race
All three teams got
there at the same time.
..straight into the lion's den.
We know how to dance,
but not a Chinese lion dance.
And in their toughest
challenge so far
I could just feel my heart
sinking and my stomach dropping
and I was super-super-scared.
..one team will break.
Come on, bro.
I thought I was gonna die.
The Northern Territory
is as unpredictable as it is vast.
At six times the size of Victoria,
it's the land of Uluru, Kakadu and
home of the 6-metre Boxing Crocodile.
And it's the setting for the eighth
leg of The Amazing Race Australia.
To start the day, teams are receiving
a traditional welcome to
country saltwater ceremony
from the Larrakia elders.
Seeing Jas and
Jerome on that beach,
who managed to make it
through to the finale last year,
was mind-blowing.
It felt like these people
have just gone through
what we're going through -
it was like a full circle for us.
Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful.
- Welcome to Larrakia country.
- Thank you.
May our ancestors guide you and
keep you safe on your journey.
Having the Indigenous people,
the First Nations people,
of this country being there
present, welcoming us,
was just so enlightening,
and it grounded us, I felt.
- Thank you, mob. Thanks.
- Thanks, Jerome. Thanks. Thanks.
And they will now start
the leg in the order they arrived
at the last Pit Stop.
- Detour.
- The Detour.
"Make your way to the
Chung Wah Society temple"
"..or Lazy Susan's Eating House."
A Detour is a choice
between two challenges,
each with its own pros and cons.
For this Detour, teams must
choose either Stomp or Chomp.
Both Detours celebrate the influence
on Darwin of Chinese migrants,
who first came here in the
1800s to work the goldfields.
Teams that choose Stomp must whack
on a traditional Chinese lion costume.
They must then learn and
perform a complex dance routine
that's said to bring good fortune.
The dance also requires each lion
to eat a lettuce leaf
through their mouth.
And when the head lion trainer
is satisfied with their performance,
they'll receive their next clue.
In Chomp, teams must visit
Lazy Susan's Eating House
and eat an entire barramundi
using only chopsticks.
That's three and a half kilos of fish,
including the tail, the
eyes and the head.
Once their plate is clean,
they'll receive their next clue.
- Stomp. Let's go.
- Stomp. Let's go.
- Let's do the Stomp.
- Yep.
- Let's go Stomp.
- OK, Stomp. Let's do some dancing.
Let's go that way, Jas.
We were under a lot of pressure
today, from the very beginning.
We had come first. We need
to maintain that position.
And we will do anything to win.
Katherine, let's go this way.
Go, MJ.
Katherine, come on!
One area that we're gonna continue
focusing on is our communication.
Katherine! Where are you?
We're not only family
but we're friends as well, so
..being able to handle ourselves
in stressful situations, I think,
is something that's
really important to us.
Excuse me! Do you know
where Chung Wah Society is?
Ideally, we'd love to lose the
title of a stowaway team.
- I think we've just gained
- a bigger target, really.
- Legend! Thank you!
- OK.
The biggest thing from footy is
around positivity and encouragement.
And no matter what, we've just
got to try and remain focused
and support one another
through the journey.
- And never give up.
- Yeah.
Game's not over until the final siren.
- We'll go the Stomp. OK, let's go.
- Stomp.
- Stomp.
- Stomp. Definitely.
- We're gonna go do Stomp.
- Up here, baby.
- We can go this way.
- No, we can't go that way, baby.
I think we could
be easily underestimated,
because people are, like,
"Oh, she's just a dancer,"
or, "She's the princess," and
..you know, you're a little bit nerdy,
but, actually, I think
we're very competitive.
- We have to win everything we do.
- Yep. We're super-competitive.
Chinese temple. Quick.
Katherine, come here.
Katherine. Katherine, come here!
All three teams got
there at the same time,
so we're all on level playing field.
We've seen that dance
before during Chinese New Year,
so we knew this is pretty intense.
- Do you want the head or tail?
- I'm taller.
You do the head. You watch
the head. I'll watch the tail.
I was really trying to pay attention,
but it was quite difficult.
I hands-down automatically
said, "You're the head."
- "You can be the butt."
- "I'm the butt." That's for sure.
Looking at all of the moves
that were part of the actual dance,
I got quite overwhelmed with it.
You reckon we can get this?
Well, we can try it.
- They'll be right behind us, babe.
- Damn it!
I reckon Chomp.
- We'll do Stomp.
- Oh, yeah. Stomp, 100%.
- So, what's this joint called?
- Lazy Susan's Eating House.
Chung Wah Society temple.
This is such a better
decision than the fish one.
Lazy Susan's, right here. Right here.
Let's do this.
Take a seat.
OK.
How big's this fish
gonna be, you reckon?
- It's gonna be big.
- It's alright.
That'll be for the bones.
Every other team had decided
to do the other challenge.
"You must not use your hands at all
"even to remove bones from your mouth.
"Do not"
Whoa!
- Holy chicken puff pies.
- Come on. Let's go.
Eat as quick as you can.
We were provided
with some chopsticks.
And with those chopsticks, we
had to eat the entire fish,
eyeballs, brain and all,
every last bit.
I'm trying to pick the eyeball up.
Oh! Don't even look at it.
I will vomit.
We just wanted
to get the fish down
and make sure we weren't in last place.
The lion costumes
were super-elaborate.
Oh, ow.
It seemed like a complicated routine.
There was, like, a lot
of footwork going on.
There was this whole
part that you've got to
pick up lettuce and eat it.
Everything's right. It's just
getting that bit of lettuce.
Ah!
I was super-worried that
this was gonna take us
a long time to pick up.
- Do you want to be back or front?
- I'll go back.
You go forward?
Dolor is Australia's Usher,
so I knew I was in good
hands being at the butt.
Front looked way harder, so
..I thought, "I'm gonna
take on the responsibility."
And if she can just follow
along with my rhythm,
we should be alright and pass.
Learn your bit. I'll learn my
bit. We'll do this together.
Smile, be happy and let's
pass this, so it's OK.
Left foot.
Left.
Which side is my left?
You need to call out "Left,"
so that I know what
..what I'm when I'm doing left.
Because I'm moving that head around.
Trying to sort of
manage the head part of it,
I was getting quite
confused with left and right.
Can you train
yourself to just go left first?
- What? I can't hear you.
- Just it's left first, always.
The back part is just jumping.
You're just jumping from side to side.
Oh, apparently I'm doing
nothing in the back.
It's not that you're doing nothing.
You are playing an important role!
Katherine, it's not like that.
You said all I have to do
is do nothing in the back.
It's, like all I all I want you
to do is come up with steps.
I'm trying to communicate
the best way I can
and you're just taking
everything way out of context.
Go to the performance
area and give it a shot?
Let's do it, mate. Come on. Stay calm.
- Damn it.
- Nope?
- Nup?
- Alright, thank you.
- How are you feeling?
- I'm feeling OK.
All you've gotta do
is just do your best.
I gotta do the best bit.
It's all about the head.
Yep.
Let's do it.
Yeah, I thought so.
- You missed the flappy bits.
- OK, that's fine.
Ah!
No.
Damn!
- It was me. It was me.
- No, it was me.
- That first attempt we sucked.
- Was on me.
Yeah.
- Hello.
- Hello, everybody.
Ni hao.
- Yeah, baby, I got it. Yep.
- Yep?
Couldn't really see anything.
I was just looking at the ground.
- You weren't looking at my butt?
- At the couldn't see a thing.
Couldn't see a thing.
Ready.
The head had a lot more
intricate movements to worry about.
Not only was I worrying about my feet,
I had to control the
mouth, grab the food.
- Spit the food out.
- I'm glad I wasn't the head.
Yeah. Yeah. I was better at the head.
Oh, thank you!
- Thank you!
- Thank you very much!
- Thank you so much.
- Thank you.
Road Block. OK.
"Who's got a sinking feeling?"
A Road Block is a task
that only one team member
must choose to perform
based only on a cryptic clue.
Now, the NT is the front line
of Australia's national security,
with six military bases and
over 5,000 uniform personnel.
So today, teams will undergo the
same helicopter safety training
as our Defence Force.
This challenge will require
nerves and balls of steel.
Our teams are gonna be simulating
a helicopter crash in the ocean.
While holding their breath,
they'll have to unbuckle themselves
then climb out the window
without any assistance at all.
I nearly forgot.
Our teams will be doing it
blindfolded and upside down.
- You do.
- Yeah, me.
- Got a sinking feeling.
- "Evacuate from an underwater chopper."
"..from an underwater chopper
to receive your next clue."
That's good. I hate being
underwater, so I'll get out quick.
Good job, baby.
So I think we're in first place now.
It depends if anyone went to
do the chopstick challenge.
Exactly.
- Ooh.
- Come on.
Skye, keep going.
- This is the mushiest thing I've
- You are eating the easy stuff.
I don't know what that was!
Bulk fish, plus eyeballs,
plus the head innards, you know,
it just doesn't make for a good time.
That was close.
- Oh.
- Damn it.
- That's alright.
- Alright.
- Let's try it, eh?
- Yeah?
We're gonna be all day
practising without trying it out.
Feeling like shit.
Why?
- You know why.
- I don't know why.
I don't know what I'm
not a rea mind-reader.
I just want to do this and
get it over and done with.
Sorry, sorry, sorry, Katherine.
Katherine, that kind of talk
really throws me off, you know.
Eh?
Just that one comment
literally just threw me.
- Can we just stop
- I just don't want to be here now.
Because you saying that it's shit
and everything really puts me off.
Some of the words that
Katherine uses sometimes,
it's, like, probably not the best
for me, and I become closed off.
I said I feel like shit. I
didn't say everything is shit.
No, and by you saying you
I know what you're feeling.
I don't know what the
hell you're feeling.
'Cause you don't talk about it.
- Look, we're just wasting energy.
- Yeah. I'm not gonna move right now.
We'll just wait for you to feel
better, then, and then we'll do it.
You are so dramatic, seriously.
- What do you feel shit about?
- Just how you usually speak to me.
- You making those comments
- See? You tell me to talk.
- And then you just cut me off.
- Well, how how how
And you make me feel
like everything that
See? You're not you're
not allowing me to speak.
- Like, have some respect, mate.
- No. You have some respect for me.
I'm just saying, it's how you speak
- No. No.
- See? You're cutting me off again.
Don't ask me to speak
and then cut me off.
- You're not clear.
- I'm not gonna do this anymore.
Unless you acknowledge what
you've done, I'm not moving.
Alright. I apologise for
how I speak to you.
No, you know what? Grow a
pair and let's go and do this.
- You need to say, "I'm sorry."
- Grow a pair, seriously.
No. Stop it. I'm not I'm
not moving. I don't care.
You don't apologise, I'm not moving.
Three, four, five, six.
Oh, come on.
We were quite puzzled
as to why we're getting it wrong,
but the reality of it was
..every single time we would watch
these watch their performance,
we would realise something
else we were doing wrong.
Yes! Whoo!
- "Who's got a sinking feeling?"
- That's you.
OK. It's OK.
Alright, you drive. Give
me that directions.
"Who's got a sinking
feeling?" Chelsea does.
What was it? Something about sinking.
And I was, like, "Chels, that's you.
That's not me. I can't do it.
"I already know. It's
underwater. I ain't doing it."
"If you remove your blindfold
during your attempt"
- Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Blindfold?
- "..you will fail the challenge."
- I'm gonna be blindfolded?
- Yep. You're gonna be blindfolded.
I've done a couple of Road Blocks,
so it's definitely Aleisha's turn.
Even though she's a princess,
she's pretty damn tough.
I need to stay
calm. I need to not panic.
'Cause if I panic
..I'm screwed.
- Oh! I'm so nervous.
- But no other cars here.
- Nup.
- We must be first.
It was a Road Block -
I would be attempting to escape
from an underwater helicopter crash.
I'm not gonna die, am I?
- Upside down and blindfolded.
- Ugh!
- I love you.
- I love you.
Oh, oh.
I know you can do it.
Just take your time.
I could just
feel my heart sinking
and my stomach dropping
and I was super-super-scared.
I was, like, holding back tears
as I was, like, stepping
down into the pool.
It's a little concerning 'cause
I'm just a bit helpless here.
But I just have to trust that
she can get through it, and
..it's hard, 'cause I
know she's terrified.
I was just hoping that he wasn't
gonna drop his guts halfway through.
- Yes!
- Thank you so much.
- We CAN cut a rug.
- We CAN cut a rug.
Last beers at the bar,
mate. We cut a rug then.
That's right.
- Yay! Thank you! Thank you so much.
- Thank you. Mwah!
Four, five, six.
Oh, come on.
- Yes! Nice work.
- Yes!
- Yes!
- Oh! Thank you!
- Oh! Oh, my God!
- Oh, my God.
I ain't doing it. Not
another water challenge.
- Me today.
- You.
If it's got to do with water,
I should definitely take it.
"You got a sinking
feeling?" You got this.
Let's go.
Aleisha's actually terrified
of this challenge.
So I'm a little bit
..worried for her.
Really scary
just sitting there.
You have to get strapped in
with all these different buckles
and and straps, and you think,
"How on earth can I get out of there?"
And then they put that blindfold
on and that's when my heart
was just going so fast.
Brace, brace, brace!
About to take a big breath.
Oh, she's tipped. Oh, shit.
It was like all
my nightmares coming true.
Oh, Jesus.
- No, she's up. She's up!
- Oh!
Oh! Good job, baby.
So proud of you, baby.
- I did it!
- You did what the army does.
Give me a kiss.
Good job.
I was super-proud of her for getting it,
and on the first attempt as well.
Yeah, I'm really shaky.
"Make your way to Humpty
Doo Barramundi farm."
Teams have now got to
travel 30 minutes by car
from Darwin to the tiny
town of Humpty Doo.
And since the NT has the largest
numbers of barramundi in the country,
what better place to go than this?
Humpty Doo Barramundi farm -
the largest barra farm in Australia.
And right now, I've got about 3
million of these bad boys around me.
All our teams have gotta do is catch
one, live, with their bare hands.
One team member will jump into the pond
while the other stays
on land with a net.
They've only gotta grab one
of these slippery little suckers,
put it in the net and then
they'll receive their next clue.
Sounds pretty easy, huh?
Come to Daddy. Hey. Oi!
Here, fishy, fishy. Oh, !
Sorry about the language.
They're very sharp as well.
Oh! !
Oh, my gosh. I didn't know
if I could do it, babe.
I'm so proud of you.
Doing well today - if we
keep going at this pace,
don't let anyone pass
us, it's first place.
- Oh, my God.
- Our first first.
- Oh!
- OK.
To be underwater in a helicopter
and have to escape, like,
just holding my breath,
just being in that moment,
like, there is no like
..I I don't I've got no words.
You got this, Chels.
I definitely much prefer sitting in
this chair than that chair.
Brace, brace, brace!
Here we go. Alright,
start breathing. Now breathing.
It's a weird sensation.
You're just feeling the water
basically coming up higher and higher.
- Yoo! Yeah!
- Whoo!
- That's the way!
- Oh! That was weird.
Alright. Here we go.
"Make your way to Humpty
Doo Barramundi farm."
That was brilliant.
I'm like a little hoover.
Can we please get it checked?
- Well done, guys.
- Thank you very much.
"Who's got a sinking feeling?"
I guess I do.
Dwes and Katherine are
sitting down over there.
- That's good.
- And the boys are still there.
When we were
collecting our car, we had noticed
that Dwes and the Sikhs
were sitting off towards
where the lion dancing was.
Right, in the back, in
the middle. Ready?
- Arms up.
- Up.
Oh, gross. Where's that water?
"Yes! Alright, sweet. We're
we're not last." Which was great.
I'm not talking.
She's just walked away. So I don't
know what's going around in her head.
I communicate everything
I think in my head.
It may not be the best thing, but
sometimes I feel like we have to,
because how does she
know what I'm thinking?
I don't know nothing about
what she's feeling and thinking.
I'm at the point of, like,
I need to be met halfway,
you know, as a team member.
He's so stubborn and he
just thinks everything is right.
You know. Whatever he says is right.
And I've just had enough.
Seven legs, I've had to put up
with it, and I've just had enough.
- You do the work, bro.
- Huh?
You do the work.
Not our type of thing around
around water and that sort of thing.
Mate, I was petrified.
I was I was scared.
Hello?
I don't think there could
have been a more perfect challenge
for me - I was feeling pretty
strong heading to this Road Block.
Remember to breathe, dude.
Keep it calm, brother.
Get it done.
Take a breath, man.
Get it done, brother.
Come on, bro.
I was struggling.
Looks like he might need a bit of help.
I thought, "Am
I gonna die out here?"
Take a breath, man.
Looks like he might need a bit of help.
So I, um, bailed out on that one.
- You alright, bud?
- Couldn't find the window.
You couldn't find the window?
- I'm sorry.
- No dramas.
You will need to go to
the back of the queue.
- You'll smash this next one, bro.
- Yeah, yeah.
You'll be alright, man.
Well, we got sent back
to the back of the line.
Amanda and Ashleigh were there.
You got this, Amanda.
Yes, girl! You did it.
Whoo-hoo!
- Thank you.
- Congratulations.
"Make your way to Humpty
Doo Barramundi farm."
Bye, everyone!
He's gonna get
buckled in here again
and go back down for his second attempt.
Keep it calm, brother.
You got it, dude.
Let's go.
I'm a stronger swimmer than Dolor,
so I was always gonna do
all the water challenges.
I'm happy to sit back
while she sinks, for sure.
- There you go. Get 'em, tiger!
- Ow!
- Oh, sorry. Sorry. Did that hurt?
- Oh. Yeah.
I was trying to encourage you.
Slow is smooth. Smooth is fast.
That challenge
was the toughest challenge
I've had to face in this race
so far - absolutely petrified me.
Starting to really freak out a bit.
I wasn't gonna let Brendon
down. I just kept pushing meself.
I just had that one goal in
mind and just kept going.
Yeah, buddy! Yoo-hoo!
Good stuff, man.
Yeah, it was
good. It was challenging.
Something that I'm not
gonna do again, but
We're on now.
"Make your way to Humpty
Doo Barramundi farm."
- Humpty Doo.
- Humpty Doo.
Come on, Jordan!
Yes! Well done!
Go, Holly. You got this.
That's my baby. Whoo!
"Make your way to
Humpty Doo Barramundi farm."
Thank you.
One, two, three.
Move forward. Four.
Five, six. And hold.
Come back.
- But you're getting the mouth right?
- Think I'm getting the mouth right.
Do you want to check that again?
He's picking up
through the mouth, not below.
Hold on a second.
We're not really doing what
the mouth should be doing.
Are we really grabbing
the lettuce correctly?
He's putting his hand through the mouth.
- That's it.
- Through the mouth. Grab it.
That's what we were doing
wrong, so once we realised that,
then we knew we were on the right track.
- Thank you.
- Yes! We've made it out.
- Come on.
- Let's catch up now. Come on.
That's all it was, bro. That's all
it was. We got there at the end.
Road Block.
"Who's got a sinking feeling?"
You I think you got this.
I believe in you. You're
gonna do it. Let's go.
- Dwes, what's wrong?
- Dwes, get up. Dwes, get up.
As Sikhs, Anurag and I
have always been brought up with
a simple foundation, that we
never leave anyone behind.
Get up, mate. Come on.
You got this. Dwes, get up.
- No, don't, don't, don't.
- No, no, Dwes. Dwes.
- Do you know how many times we tried?
- No, I just need time.
Dwes, look at us. You've got this.
Every single person right
now is talking about
how strong you guys are.
This is your leg. If there's
any leg in NT, this is your leg.
We believe in you, dude. Think about
how amazing you've been doing.
Bro, that last leg
could have been yours.
You came second by that much.
Can you give me a hug before I go?
One hug, Dwes. Come on.
You know you want to.
- Come on. Give me a hug.
- Give us a hug. Get up. Come on.
- Get up.
- Alright.
Three, two, one.
- Ugh!
- Come on, guys.
Alright, give me a hug. Alright?
Just to even stop and take some time
out of their time that they've lost
to give and invest into me to
try and get me across the line,
I I don't know how to
really repay that favour.
And I can genuinely see their
beautiful human spirit there.
I don't know, Katherine. Are
you ready for an attempt?
Yeah. Let's just do this
and get out of here.
Back, back, back.
We don't have no hate or malice.
It's just who we are as cousins,
and we're always like this.
I'm sure, you know, people can relate
to having these kind of
challenging conversations
with people that they're closest to.
- She puts up with a lot with me.
- Anyway, stop talking.
I felt like a lot of weight
just lifted off my shoulder,
a lot of that stress
and pressure, and
..I was so relieved.
Thank you so much.
Good work.
Road Block.
"Who's got a sinking feeling?"
- Do you want to do it?
- I'll do it.
Katherine, come on!
Our next clue was
to go catch some barra
with just our hands and gloves on.
If you get it straightaway, babe
- Oh, shit!
- ..you could be out of there.
- Holy shit!
- Yep. Come on.
- Oh! One's got me on the foot.
- Do they hurt?
Don't know.
- Booties.
- Oh, yep.
We're really, really proud to be,
I guess, strong, independent females
and just showing that any young girl
can, if they want to
put their mind to it,
you know, they can achieve anything.
- Alright, you grab the net. OK.
- Awesome.
Look how big this net is!
That means we're catching
a massive barramundi today.
Yes! Let's go catch some barra!
Get straight in there, girl.
So the girls have just jumped
in, babe, and they seem like
..she's not struggling at
all with the walking part.
Holy shit!
Chris was just sort of very slow.
Ooh! Good job, baby. Oh, I
can't put it in the water.
- Sorry.
- Arggh!
Sorry. Did that hurt?
Get him! Oh, go, go, go!
Bring him to me, to me!
- OK.
- Bring him to me!
Oh, what are you doing?
Oh, get him!
I need to watch the vision,
'cause I don't know what
I did or what happened.
Score review, please.
Whoo!
Yes!
When I heard that
cheer, that's when your heart
starts to beat, 'cause you're,
like, "My gosh! They've got it."
We were gonna lose our lead.
You're just really taking it slow.
Pressure's on now. We
really have to get this.
I am relaxed! Stop!
- We can't lose this place.
- Oh!
Oh, get him! Whoo!
Yes!
- Oh!
- Come on. Get some grit.
Good job.
Good job, babe. Good job, babe.
Use all your strength to
put him in. Good job. Oh!
It was literally, like, I caught my fish
and then Chris was, like,
"Bam. Here's mine."
Thank you, thank you.
Well done.
- "Follow the map"
"..to Nev's place"
- "Find Beau at the Pit Stop. Hurry!"
- "Last to arrive may be eliminated."
- OK, let's go.
- Let's go.
At the end of an unassuming
dirt road, in this unassuming house,
you'll find one of Humpty
Doo's most famous residents,
the world's loudest burper, Nev Sharp.
Welcome to Humpty Doo.
And he's fired up the barbie
to welcome us to town.
And it's the perfect place
to have the Pit Stop
of the eighth leg of The
Amazing Race Australia.
That's a nice sausage, Nev.
Nice.
This one, this one, this one. Let's go.
- This is our car?
- Yeah.
It's OK. It's OK. Zip up.
Zip up. Don't lose anything.
You want to chuck that
stuff in the boot?
Nah. Nup.
- OK, so, you know where we're going?
- Yes, I know where we're going.
- So go back the way we came.
- Straight ahead, baby. Keep going.
- Straight ahead. Yep. Cool, cool.
- And then go left.
Oh.
Crazy, man.
- We do like to win.
- We do.
We're competitive.
We don't like to lose.
Oh, my gosh.
Hello!
I get in the water and there's these
spiny, scaly barramundi everywhere.
They're so slippery!
- Good?
- Go.
On our way in
to the barramundi farm,
we were talking about who was
gonna go out and catch 'em
and who was gonna stay on the edge.
- You right?
- Yeah, bro.
It's a water challenge. I mean,
I'm not water. I'm land.
- Here, look, there's one behind ya.
- Where?
Yeah, just swim around. Like a shark.
That's him. Get hold of
him. Where'd he go?
Oi-ya! Free Willy.
- Oh, my God, I got it!
- Grab it, grab it, grab it!
- Hang onto it, Amanda.
- I can't reach.
Wrestle that fish.
You got this. You got
this. Hang onto it.
Yes, Amanda.
- Yes! Yes!
- That's it, that's it, that's it.
Yes!
Whoo!
"Follow the map to Nev's place
and find Beau at the Pit Stop.
"Hurry! The last team to
arrive may be eliminated."
- Yes!
- Let's go!
Nev's place, by the looks of
it, is on the right-hand side.
We really wanted to win today
and make our South Australian
family really proud of us.
Oh, yeah, baby.
Whoo!
Is this a road?
Slow down a little.
Oh, I just saw it.
Yes, we wanted to win this leg.
- That looks like it to me. Yep.
- And are we going in?
OK. Go, go, go.
OK, let's go.
Oh! Oh! Oh, my God!
Round this way.
- Good job, baby. I'm so proud of you.
- I'm so proud of you too.
- Welcome to Humpty Doo.
- Thank you.
MJ and Chelsea, you are
first team to check in!
Come on!
Oh, yeah!
Awesome.
- You've also got a First Class Pass.
- Whoo!
- Know what that is?
- Yes.
I think we get to go away
somewhere and have a good time.
The main thing is, you won't
be competing in the next leg
and you can't get eliminated.
Brilliant.
You'll also be going somewhere special.
- You deserve it.
- Thanks.
Also you'll be waiting
with me on the mat
for the final two teams
to check in to serve
both a Salvage and a Sabotage.
A Salvage will give a team
a massive advantage
and a Sabotage will
severely slow a team down.
You have to make a decision.
And you have to pick out
of those two bottom teams.
Hopefully, it doesn't bite
us in the bum.
Hey, guys.
Chris and Aleisha, you are
second team to check in.
- Yes. OK. OK.
- Yoo!
First place was this close,
so bit bittersweet today.
Bittersweet.
- Well done.
- Thanks.
- Thanks, Beau.
- Thank you.
I was super-keen to get in there.
But we had the Super
Sikhs right behind us,
and then right behind them
was Dwes and Katherine,
which are two pretty strong
teams for this leg of the race,
and I just wanted to
make sure I aced it.
Don't forget to take a breath, Jake.
- How'd you go?
- Yep, aced it.
Yes!
You ready to get out of here,
you'll need one of these.
Thank you very much,
mate. Appreciate it.
So, what am I looking for, then?
Barramundi farm. It's
on this road somewhere.
We'll see signage for it.
Yeah, this is it. Let's
catch this fish quick, V.
What, the Cowboys are still here?
I thought they would have
been really good at this.
- So slippery.
- Yeah, they would be.
- Do you want to have a go?
- You're joking!
- You'll be better in there.
- Oh, yeah.
The person who can't swim.
Come on, quick. Go, go.
How am I meant to find fish in here?
The only time I've seen
barramundi is at the restaurant
when you order it for dinner.
I've never seen a live barramundi
or been in the presence of
..a jumping, swimming barramundi.
Might be dangerous,
but I'm a fearless man.
Looking over and
seeing Dolor jumping around
and yahooing and
squealing, carrying on
..that was a bit of a laugh.
Oh!
Yes, I got one! Get the net!
No, no, no, no, no, no,
no, no. Oh, I got it here.
Yes!
I went in there
..screamed a little bit
but then caught the fish.
- Only a little bit.
- Only a little bit.
Come on, come on, come
on, come on, come on.
Can someone check?
Yes!
"Follow the map to Nev's place"
"Find Beau at the Pit Stop. Last
team to arrive may be eliminated."
You got this, bro.
We were really scared.
I mean, we came into this leg
thinking we wanted to come first.
All of a sudden, we're
stuck at the back.
You got this, bro. I believe in you.
There was a split second
where I started panicking
when I was underwater,
but that's where I had
to just stay calm,
unclip that belt and just escape.
Well done, bro! Well done! Yes!
Reflecting back on our journey,
I think Katherine and I, we've grown
so much during The Amazing Race.
Katherine is strong and she is
the muscles in our little group,
and I feel like she can smash this.
Hopefully, we'll get in front and
make up some of our lost time.
Come on, Kath. You got this.
I'm obviously
a confident swimmer.
So I actually didn't feel too
bad about this Road Block.
Brace, brace, brace!
I thought I had
all of my breaths timed.
But then I was just
thrown off in the end
..and took one big breath in and
managed to take heaps of water in.
I thought I was gonna die.
Come on, Kath.
Think she actually swallowed some
water when she was going down.
I just don't know if
I can do that again.
Honestly, I thought I was
gonna die, 'cause
..you think, like, they're gonna
help you straightaway and then
You can you can do
it. You definitely can.
In my mind, I know that if I
don't complete the Road Block
that we're gonna face
a penalty at Pit Stop,
but I'm struggling to get past
this and I just need to do it.
So do you think you can go back?
If you don't feel comfortable doing it,
then I'm not gonna push you to do it.
But we need to make a
decision now, then,
because we're discussing this here
and it's just taking up our time.
'Cause we don't know what the penalty
might be, one hour, 30 minutes.
What do you what do you want to do?
- Yeah, I can't do it.
- You can't do it?
I made the tough decision to
just not do the Road Block at all.
I just couldn't get past
it mentally that
..you know, I could go
down and do that again.
Katherine? Are you
gonna have another go?
- No.
- Here's your next clue.
Thank you.
However, you will receive
a time penalty at Pit Stop.
- Good luck.
- Thank you.
"Make your way to
Humpty Doo Barramundi farm.
"Catch a barra with your hands
to receive your next clue."
Alright, let's go.
You know, obviously, us
being familiar with Darwin
and knowing the places,
hopefully, other people are lost
going to Humpty Doo,
'cause it's a fair drive.
Just hoping we can make up time
so that our time penalty at the end
isn't too bad.
Which way did you
turn on the highway, Skye?
Left.
But we're supposed to
be going the other way.
I just need some help
in knowing where we are.
Today was a very
hard leg in terms of travel.
We're not heading in to Humpty
I'm asking you, do you
want me to turn around?
We got lost, and we got proper lost.
Dude, where's the Arnhem Highway?
The Arnhem Highway's the other way.
As we're heading there,
we're looking around for the signs
for barra farm, not seeing any signs.
We're, like, "Maybe we're
going the wrong way."
It seems like Humpty Doo is a whole area
and the middle point,
which is the exact address,
is actually the other direction.
We lost about 20 minutes,
20 or 25 minutes,
and then we knew that could
potentially mean us being last.
So, Skye, obviously, Dwes
and Katherine do have the advantage
of knowing the area, so
I'm pretty worried right now.
Oh, the Cowboys are here.
Dwes, get in there and show
them how to do it, man.
Yeah. Come on. Let's do this.
Let's just you go with the net.
Yep.
Then I'll just go and rip that thing
with whatever strength I've got
and rip it out of the water.
I wasn't too sure what to really expect.
But I think I was just,
like, in the moment now
where we just need to smash a
challenge, we need to get one out.
Can't corner 'em, bro.
I can definitely feel all
the fish swimming around my legs
and under my arms and everything.
You got one?
Yes!
Dwes just comes straight in
there, reaches down, grabs it,
pulls it out - I reckon he pulled
it out of his pants, mate.
- Yes! Yes!
- Whoo-hoo!
Thank you.
That's a record, bro.
We never thought
we'd be in this position,
obviously, overtaking a few teams
and then being able to
get back into the race.
And now we're just on
our way to Pit Stop.
Yeah, I'm pretty concerned about
this penalty we're
gonna face at Pit Stop.
So just hoping that those teams
get caught up at the last challenge
gives us a bit more time.
Oh, man.
Good job, Brendon!
"Find Beau at the Pit Stop. Last
team to arrive may be eliminated."
Beautiful.
Let's do it.
Ashleigh and Amanda, you
are third team to check in.
- Yes!
- Good effort.
- Good effort.
- Thank you.
Today was a great day. I feel
like we're back in our game.
We're we're in the right
headspace. And we were having fun.
- Well done. Yeah.
- Whoo!
- Thanks.
- Thank you!
- Let's go.
- Right down here.
Right here.
Holly and Dolor.
You are
..fourth team to check in.
Arriving fourth at
the Pit Stop was amazing.
And this is the best we've
done out of all the legs.
- Jordan and Violeta.
- Hey, Beau.
- You are fifth team to check in.
- Good job. That's alright.
We're here.
Katherine! Come on!
Yes!
Dwes and Katherine, you are
..the sixth team to arrive.
However, you did not
complete the Road Block.
So you now face a 30-minute penalty.
Please stand behind the girls.
Today has been,
like, one big bipolar day.
Like, we went from one
extreme to the other.
And now my mind
was racing against time.
- Let's go, bro. Yep. Let's go.
- Are you good?
It's just been an
emotional roller-coaster.
Some days, you do really well in the leg
and then other days you don't, so
Due to our time penalty,
we have to wait for
other teams to arrive
before we can be checked in.
Brendon. Jackson.
You are seventh team to
arrive. Sixth team to check in.
It was quite stressful
not knowing where the other teams were.
And now it was a race
against time for us.
There's a sign coming up.
- Fogg Dam?
- Fogg Dam. Go there.
So lucky.
Catching the barramundi,
I just wanted to get in the water,
get that fish and make sure
we weren't in last place.
I wasn't feeling super-confident
because we'd just downed
one of their friends
and I imagine fish, you know
- Hold grudges.
- ..hold grudges a little bit.
- What?
- Ugh!
- Did one swim you in the nuts?
- Yep.
Are you OK?
Nope.
I had to stop and take a minute
and reassess the situation.
Holy
I need to get my rashie, so take this.
- You got my rashie in your hand?
- In your hand. Take it.
We were very worried about
coming last at this point.
- Jake, the Sikhs have just got here.
- Let's just focus on what we're doing.
Super Sikhs
did happen to rock up,
which did put the
pressure on a little bit.
Nearly had it, bro. Nearly had it.
I knew it was gonna be difficult,
but I didn't think it would
be as difficult as it was.
I've got one. I've got one.
Oh!
Down.
Really good, Anurag. Very,
very good. That's it, bro.
You know you can do it.
- God!
- Jake, I can't go any lower!
There were several fish that I caught
and just couldn't get them out
of the water quick enough.
- You yelled at me too.
- Yeah, I did.
Yes, bring it in. Bring it in.
That's as far as I can.
Catching barramundi, you
can do it in a second.
You can do it in an hour.
It all comes down to how
do you grab the fish?
- Bring it out a bit more?
- Yes, if you can.
I can't climb this. I can't climb this.
- You're not gonna lose him?
- Nup.
Up, up.
- It's on your leg. It's on your leg.
- Come on!
Yes!
- Thanks, brother.
- Thank you so much!
OK. "Follow the map to Nev's place."
"And find Beau at the Pit Stop.
"Hurry! The last team
may be eliminated."
- Let's go.
- Let's go.
We know exactly
where we sort of have to head
to get to the Pit Stop,
and it was a race to the finish.
We just had to make sure
that we beat the Sikhs there.
This is the last leg. We
know we're following the map.
Let's keep following that,
let's get there and let's run.
We're not going home today. We're
not ready to go home yet, baby.
- Right?
- Yep.
Nice work, Skye. Great work.
Go, go.
Oh, hello, puppy!
Are you gonna show us the way?
I wasn't too sure
where we were placed.
I was still holding on to some hope
that we weren't actually coming last.
Skye-Blue and Jake.
You are
..the eighth team to arrive.
- To arrive, but are we checked in?
- But the seventh team to check in.
- Oh!
- Yes!
Jaskirat and Anurag, you are
..the ninth team to arrive, but
..you're the eighth team to check in.
So that makes Dwes and Katherine
the last team to check in.
So, Dwes and Katherine,
please step on the mat.
Because this is a predetermined
non-elimination leg
..no-one's going home.
However
..the girls, MJ and Chelsea,
will both be serving a Salvage,
which will give someone
a massive advantage,
and a Sabotage, which is
gonna slow someone down.
Girls?
It's pretty
gut-wrenching and pretty hard,
I won't deny it - that's
probably the hardest thing
I've had to do all day.
Uh, we've obviously only had two
days to work out who you guys are.
We can see it that you
guys are such a big threat,
you've obviously won a leg,
so, unfortunately, we're
giving you the Sabotage.
With our Salvage, we're giving
it to Katherine and Dwes.
We know that obviously
they've been eliminated before.
Sounds like it's been
a bit of a tough day.
So, hopefully, that can
keep you guys going.
It's just been one massive day,
and then we get the Salvage,
and it's just sort of, like,
"Oh, my God. We're still here."
It was like the
cat that never dies.
Very lucky, you guys.
Very, very lucky, you two.
And well done, everyone.
You're still alive, you're still
alive, and you're in the lead.
Go have a rest.
Coming in and winning a leg
and then getting a rest
and a First Class Pass,
I honestly think they've painted
a massive target on their back.
And you know what,
it probably does us a favour,
because we knew we had a
massive target on our back.
We're hoping this target shifts.
Next time on The
Amazing Race Australia
- Heading to Alice Springs!
- Whoo!
When the race arrives
in the Red Centre
- Never been.
- Never been.
My dad's gonna be so proud of us!
- ..the Salvage
- That's for racing.
- ..and Sabotage
- Uh-oh.
..are revealed.
This could be what sends us home.
And after the ride of a lifetime
- Best experience on the race so far.
- What the hell is going on?
- That's a tree?!
- ..teams come crashing back to earth.
Whoa!
Then a new rivalry begins
Come on, girls.
I definitely grabbed the pen before you.
He snatched it out of my hand.
I hope they're not angry at us
now, but I think they hold grudges.
So they're probably angry.
You have your little victory.
We'll beat you later.
- ..pushing one team
- I can't do this!
..to breaking point.
- Oh, my God.
- Keep breathing, baby.
Amazing Race Australia
Let's frickin' go!
In the most epic adventure on earth
My biggest fear are actually crocodiles.
..the competition went wild in Darwin.
Welcome to the race, MJ and Chelsea.
The new stowaways. 100% is a curve ball.
The Super Sikhs
- That's it!
- ..sped to victory.
And you are first team to check in.
And our stowaways proved
they've got what it takes.
- Third team to check in.
- Yes!
We're professional athletes,
so we do like to win.
- Tonight
- Let's go catch some barra!
- ..as our NT adventure continues
- They're so slippery!
..teams race
All three teams got
there at the same time.
..straight into the lion's den.
We know how to dance,
but not a Chinese lion dance.
And in their toughest
challenge so far
I could just feel my heart
sinking and my stomach dropping
and I was super-super-scared.
..one team will break.
Come on, bro.
I thought I was gonna die.
The Northern Territory
is as unpredictable as it is vast.
At six times the size of Victoria,
it's the land of Uluru, Kakadu and
home of the 6-metre Boxing Crocodile.
And it's the setting for the eighth
leg of The Amazing Race Australia.
To start the day, teams are receiving
a traditional welcome to
country saltwater ceremony
from the Larrakia elders.
Seeing Jas and
Jerome on that beach,
who managed to make it
through to the finale last year,
was mind-blowing.
It felt like these people
have just gone through
what we're going through -
it was like a full circle for us.
Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful.
- Welcome to Larrakia country.
- Thank you.
May our ancestors guide you and
keep you safe on your journey.
Having the Indigenous people,
the First Nations people,
of this country being there
present, welcoming us,
was just so enlightening,
and it grounded us, I felt.
- Thank you, mob. Thanks.
- Thanks, Jerome. Thanks. Thanks.
And they will now start
the leg in the order they arrived
at the last Pit Stop.
- Detour.
- The Detour.
"Make your way to the
Chung Wah Society temple"
"..or Lazy Susan's Eating House."
A Detour is a choice
between two challenges,
each with its own pros and cons.
For this Detour, teams must
choose either Stomp or Chomp.
Both Detours celebrate the influence
on Darwin of Chinese migrants,
who first came here in the
1800s to work the goldfields.
Teams that choose Stomp must whack
on a traditional Chinese lion costume.
They must then learn and
perform a complex dance routine
that's said to bring good fortune.
The dance also requires each lion
to eat a lettuce leaf
through their mouth.
And when the head lion trainer
is satisfied with their performance,
they'll receive their next clue.
In Chomp, teams must visit
Lazy Susan's Eating House
and eat an entire barramundi
using only chopsticks.
That's three and a half kilos of fish,
including the tail, the
eyes and the head.
Once their plate is clean,
they'll receive their next clue.
- Stomp. Let's go.
- Stomp. Let's go.
- Let's do the Stomp.
- Yep.
- Let's go Stomp.
- OK, Stomp. Let's do some dancing.
Let's go that way, Jas.
We were under a lot of pressure
today, from the very beginning.
We had come first. We need
to maintain that position.
And we will do anything to win.
Katherine, let's go this way.
Go, MJ.
Katherine, come on!
One area that we're gonna continue
focusing on is our communication.
Katherine! Where are you?
We're not only family
but we're friends as well, so
..being able to handle ourselves
in stressful situations, I think,
is something that's
really important to us.
Excuse me! Do you know
where Chung Wah Society is?
Ideally, we'd love to lose the
title of a stowaway team.
- I think we've just gained
- a bigger target, really.
- Legend! Thank you!
- OK.
The biggest thing from footy is
around positivity and encouragement.
And no matter what, we've just
got to try and remain focused
and support one another
through the journey.
- And never give up.
- Yeah.
Game's not over until the final siren.
- We'll go the Stomp. OK, let's go.
- Stomp.
- Stomp.
- Stomp. Definitely.
- We're gonna go do Stomp.
- Up here, baby.
- We can go this way.
- No, we can't go that way, baby.
I think we could
be easily underestimated,
because people are, like,
"Oh, she's just a dancer,"
or, "She's the princess," and
..you know, you're a little bit nerdy,
but, actually, I think
we're very competitive.
- We have to win everything we do.
- Yep. We're super-competitive.
Chinese temple. Quick.
Katherine, come here.
Katherine. Katherine, come here!
All three teams got
there at the same time,
so we're all on level playing field.
We've seen that dance
before during Chinese New Year,
so we knew this is pretty intense.
- Do you want the head or tail?
- I'm taller.
You do the head. You watch
the head. I'll watch the tail.
I was really trying to pay attention,
but it was quite difficult.
I hands-down automatically
said, "You're the head."
- "You can be the butt."
- "I'm the butt." That's for sure.
Looking at all of the moves
that were part of the actual dance,
I got quite overwhelmed with it.
You reckon we can get this?
Well, we can try it.
- They'll be right behind us, babe.
- Damn it!
I reckon Chomp.
- We'll do Stomp.
- Oh, yeah. Stomp, 100%.
- So, what's this joint called?
- Lazy Susan's Eating House.
Chung Wah Society temple.
This is such a better
decision than the fish one.
Lazy Susan's, right here. Right here.
Let's do this.
Take a seat.
OK.
How big's this fish
gonna be, you reckon?
- It's gonna be big.
- It's alright.
That'll be for the bones.
Every other team had decided
to do the other challenge.
"You must not use your hands at all
"even to remove bones from your mouth.
"Do not"
Whoa!
- Holy chicken puff pies.
- Come on. Let's go.
Eat as quick as you can.
We were provided
with some chopsticks.
And with those chopsticks, we
had to eat the entire fish,
eyeballs, brain and all,
every last bit.
I'm trying to pick the eyeball up.
Oh! Don't even look at it.
I will vomit.
We just wanted
to get the fish down
and make sure we weren't in last place.
The lion costumes
were super-elaborate.
Oh, ow.
It seemed like a complicated routine.
There was, like, a lot
of footwork going on.
There was this whole
part that you've got to
pick up lettuce and eat it.
Everything's right. It's just
getting that bit of lettuce.
Ah!
I was super-worried that
this was gonna take us
a long time to pick up.
- Do you want to be back or front?
- I'll go back.
You go forward?
Dolor is Australia's Usher,
so I knew I was in good
hands being at the butt.
Front looked way harder, so
..I thought, "I'm gonna
take on the responsibility."
And if she can just follow
along with my rhythm,
we should be alright and pass.
Learn your bit. I'll learn my
bit. We'll do this together.
Smile, be happy and let's
pass this, so it's OK.
Left foot.
Left.
Which side is my left?
You need to call out "Left,"
so that I know what
..what I'm when I'm doing left.
Because I'm moving that head around.
Trying to sort of
manage the head part of it,
I was getting quite
confused with left and right.
Can you train
yourself to just go left first?
- What? I can't hear you.
- Just it's left first, always.
The back part is just jumping.
You're just jumping from side to side.
Oh, apparently I'm doing
nothing in the back.
It's not that you're doing nothing.
You are playing an important role!
Katherine, it's not like that.
You said all I have to do
is do nothing in the back.
It's, like all I all I want you
to do is come up with steps.
I'm trying to communicate
the best way I can
and you're just taking
everything way out of context.
Go to the performance
area and give it a shot?
Let's do it, mate. Come on. Stay calm.
- Damn it.
- Nope?
- Nup?
- Alright, thank you.
- How are you feeling?
- I'm feeling OK.
All you've gotta do
is just do your best.
I gotta do the best bit.
It's all about the head.
Yep.
Let's do it.
Yeah, I thought so.
- You missed the flappy bits.
- OK, that's fine.
Ah!
No.
Damn!
- It was me. It was me.
- No, it was me.
- That first attempt we sucked.
- Was on me.
Yeah.
- Hello.
- Hello, everybody.
Ni hao.
- Yeah, baby, I got it. Yep.
- Yep?
Couldn't really see anything.
I was just looking at the ground.
- You weren't looking at my butt?
- At the couldn't see a thing.
Couldn't see a thing.
Ready.
The head had a lot more
intricate movements to worry about.
Not only was I worrying about my feet,
I had to control the
mouth, grab the food.
- Spit the food out.
- I'm glad I wasn't the head.
Yeah. Yeah. I was better at the head.
Oh, thank you!
- Thank you!
- Thank you very much!
- Thank you so much.
- Thank you.
Road Block. OK.
"Who's got a sinking feeling?"
A Road Block is a task
that only one team member
must choose to perform
based only on a cryptic clue.
Now, the NT is the front line
of Australia's national security,
with six military bases and
over 5,000 uniform personnel.
So today, teams will undergo the
same helicopter safety training
as our Defence Force.
This challenge will require
nerves and balls of steel.
Our teams are gonna be simulating
a helicopter crash in the ocean.
While holding their breath,
they'll have to unbuckle themselves
then climb out the window
without any assistance at all.
I nearly forgot.
Our teams will be doing it
blindfolded and upside down.
- You do.
- Yeah, me.
- Got a sinking feeling.
- "Evacuate from an underwater chopper."
"..from an underwater chopper
to receive your next clue."
That's good. I hate being
underwater, so I'll get out quick.
Good job, baby.
So I think we're in first place now.
It depends if anyone went to
do the chopstick challenge.
Exactly.
- Ooh.
- Come on.
Skye, keep going.
- This is the mushiest thing I've
- You are eating the easy stuff.
I don't know what that was!
Bulk fish, plus eyeballs,
plus the head innards, you know,
it just doesn't make for a good time.
That was close.
- Oh.
- Damn it.
- That's alright.
- Alright.
- Let's try it, eh?
- Yeah?
We're gonna be all day
practising without trying it out.
Feeling like shit.
Why?
- You know why.
- I don't know why.
I don't know what I'm
not a rea mind-reader.
I just want to do this and
get it over and done with.
Sorry, sorry, sorry, Katherine.
Katherine, that kind of talk
really throws me off, you know.
Eh?
Just that one comment
literally just threw me.
- Can we just stop
- I just don't want to be here now.
Because you saying that it's shit
and everything really puts me off.
Some of the words that
Katherine uses sometimes,
it's, like, probably not the best
for me, and I become closed off.
I said I feel like shit. I
didn't say everything is shit.
No, and by you saying you
I know what you're feeling.
I don't know what the
hell you're feeling.
'Cause you don't talk about it.
- Look, we're just wasting energy.
- Yeah. I'm not gonna move right now.
We'll just wait for you to feel
better, then, and then we'll do it.
You are so dramatic, seriously.
- What do you feel shit about?
- Just how you usually speak to me.
- You making those comments
- See? You tell me to talk.
- And then you just cut me off.
- Well, how how how
And you make me feel
like everything that
See? You're not you're
not allowing me to speak.
- Like, have some respect, mate.
- No. You have some respect for me.
I'm just saying, it's how you speak
- No. No.
- See? You're cutting me off again.
Don't ask me to speak
and then cut me off.
- You're not clear.
- I'm not gonna do this anymore.
Unless you acknowledge what
you've done, I'm not moving.
Alright. I apologise for
how I speak to you.
No, you know what? Grow a
pair and let's go and do this.
- You need to say, "I'm sorry."
- Grow a pair, seriously.
No. Stop it. I'm not I'm
not moving. I don't care.
You don't apologise, I'm not moving.
Three, four, five, six.
Oh, come on.
We were quite puzzled
as to why we're getting it wrong,
but the reality of it was
..every single time we would watch
these watch their performance,
we would realise something
else we were doing wrong.
Yes! Whoo!
- "Who's got a sinking feeling?"
- That's you.
OK. It's OK.
Alright, you drive. Give
me that directions.
"Who's got a sinking
feeling?" Chelsea does.
What was it? Something about sinking.
And I was, like, "Chels, that's you.
That's not me. I can't do it.
"I already know. It's
underwater. I ain't doing it."
"If you remove your blindfold
during your attempt"
- Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Blindfold?
- "..you will fail the challenge."
- I'm gonna be blindfolded?
- Yep. You're gonna be blindfolded.
I've done a couple of Road Blocks,
so it's definitely Aleisha's turn.
Even though she's a princess,
she's pretty damn tough.
I need to stay
calm. I need to not panic.
'Cause if I panic
..I'm screwed.
- Oh! I'm so nervous.
- But no other cars here.
- Nup.
- We must be first.
It was a Road Block -
I would be attempting to escape
from an underwater helicopter crash.
I'm not gonna die, am I?
- Upside down and blindfolded.
- Ugh!
- I love you.
- I love you.
Oh, oh.
I know you can do it.
Just take your time.
I could just
feel my heart sinking
and my stomach dropping
and I was super-super-scared.
I was, like, holding back tears
as I was, like, stepping
down into the pool.
It's a little concerning 'cause
I'm just a bit helpless here.
But I just have to trust that
she can get through it, and
..it's hard, 'cause I
know she's terrified.
I was just hoping that he wasn't
gonna drop his guts halfway through.
- Yes!
- Thank you so much.
- We CAN cut a rug.
- We CAN cut a rug.
Last beers at the bar,
mate. We cut a rug then.
That's right.
- Yay! Thank you! Thank you so much.
- Thank you. Mwah!
Four, five, six.
Oh, come on.
- Yes! Nice work.
- Yes!
- Yes!
- Oh! Thank you!
- Oh! Oh, my God!
- Oh, my God.
I ain't doing it. Not
another water challenge.
- Me today.
- You.
If it's got to do with water,
I should definitely take it.
"You got a sinking
feeling?" You got this.
Let's go.
Aleisha's actually terrified
of this challenge.
So I'm a little bit
..worried for her.
Really scary
just sitting there.
You have to get strapped in
with all these different buckles
and and straps, and you think,
"How on earth can I get out of there?"
And then they put that blindfold
on and that's when my heart
was just going so fast.
Brace, brace, brace!
About to take a big breath.
Oh, she's tipped. Oh, shit.
It was like all
my nightmares coming true.
Oh, Jesus.
- No, she's up. She's up!
- Oh!
Oh! Good job, baby.
So proud of you, baby.
- I did it!
- You did what the army does.
Give me a kiss.
Good job.
I was super-proud of her for getting it,
and on the first attempt as well.
Yeah, I'm really shaky.
"Make your way to Humpty
Doo Barramundi farm."
Teams have now got to
travel 30 minutes by car
from Darwin to the tiny
town of Humpty Doo.
And since the NT has the largest
numbers of barramundi in the country,
what better place to go than this?
Humpty Doo Barramundi farm -
the largest barra farm in Australia.
And right now, I've got about 3
million of these bad boys around me.
All our teams have gotta do is catch
one, live, with their bare hands.
One team member will jump into the pond
while the other stays
on land with a net.
They've only gotta grab one
of these slippery little suckers,
put it in the net and then
they'll receive their next clue.
Sounds pretty easy, huh?
Come to Daddy. Hey. Oi!
Here, fishy, fishy. Oh, !
Sorry about the language.
They're very sharp as well.
Oh! !
Oh, my gosh. I didn't know
if I could do it, babe.
I'm so proud of you.
Doing well today - if we
keep going at this pace,
don't let anyone pass
us, it's first place.
- Oh, my God.
- Our first first.
- Oh!
- OK.
To be underwater in a helicopter
and have to escape, like,
just holding my breath,
just being in that moment,
like, there is no like
..I I don't I've got no words.
You got this, Chels.
I definitely much prefer sitting in
this chair than that chair.
Brace, brace, brace!
Here we go. Alright,
start breathing. Now breathing.
It's a weird sensation.
You're just feeling the water
basically coming up higher and higher.
- Yoo! Yeah!
- Whoo!
- That's the way!
- Oh! That was weird.
Alright. Here we go.
"Make your way to Humpty
Doo Barramundi farm."
That was brilliant.
I'm like a little hoover.
Can we please get it checked?
- Well done, guys.
- Thank you very much.
"Who's got a sinking feeling?"
I guess I do.
Dwes and Katherine are
sitting down over there.
- That's good.
- And the boys are still there.
When we were
collecting our car, we had noticed
that Dwes and the Sikhs
were sitting off towards
where the lion dancing was.
Right, in the back, in
the middle. Ready?
- Arms up.
- Up.
Oh, gross. Where's that water?
"Yes! Alright, sweet. We're
we're not last." Which was great.
I'm not talking.
She's just walked away. So I don't
know what's going around in her head.
I communicate everything
I think in my head.
It may not be the best thing, but
sometimes I feel like we have to,
because how does she
know what I'm thinking?
I don't know nothing about
what she's feeling and thinking.
I'm at the point of, like,
I need to be met halfway,
you know, as a team member.
He's so stubborn and he
just thinks everything is right.
You know. Whatever he says is right.
And I've just had enough.
Seven legs, I've had to put up
with it, and I've just had enough.
- You do the work, bro.
- Huh?
You do the work.
Not our type of thing around
around water and that sort of thing.
Mate, I was petrified.
I was I was scared.
Hello?
I don't think there could
have been a more perfect challenge
for me - I was feeling pretty
strong heading to this Road Block.
Remember to breathe, dude.
Keep it calm, brother.
Get it done.
Take a breath, man.
Get it done, brother.
Come on, bro.
I was struggling.
Looks like he might need a bit of help.
I thought, "Am
I gonna die out here?"
Take a breath, man.
Looks like he might need a bit of help.
So I, um, bailed out on that one.
- You alright, bud?
- Couldn't find the window.
You couldn't find the window?
- I'm sorry.
- No dramas.
You will need to go to
the back of the queue.
- You'll smash this next one, bro.
- Yeah, yeah.
You'll be alright, man.
Well, we got sent back
to the back of the line.
Amanda and Ashleigh were there.
You got this, Amanda.
Yes, girl! You did it.
Whoo-hoo!
- Thank you.
- Congratulations.
"Make your way to Humpty
Doo Barramundi farm."
Bye, everyone!
He's gonna get
buckled in here again
and go back down for his second attempt.
Keep it calm, brother.
You got it, dude.
Let's go.
I'm a stronger swimmer than Dolor,
so I was always gonna do
all the water challenges.
I'm happy to sit back
while she sinks, for sure.
- There you go. Get 'em, tiger!
- Ow!
- Oh, sorry. Sorry. Did that hurt?
- Oh. Yeah.
I was trying to encourage you.
Slow is smooth. Smooth is fast.
That challenge
was the toughest challenge
I've had to face in this race
so far - absolutely petrified me.
Starting to really freak out a bit.
I wasn't gonna let Brendon
down. I just kept pushing meself.
I just had that one goal in
mind and just kept going.
Yeah, buddy! Yoo-hoo!
Good stuff, man.
Yeah, it was
good. It was challenging.
Something that I'm not
gonna do again, but
We're on now.
"Make your way to Humpty
Doo Barramundi farm."
- Humpty Doo.
- Humpty Doo.
Come on, Jordan!
Yes! Well done!
Go, Holly. You got this.
That's my baby. Whoo!
"Make your way to
Humpty Doo Barramundi farm."
Thank you.
One, two, three.
Move forward. Four.
Five, six. And hold.
Come back.
- But you're getting the mouth right?
- Think I'm getting the mouth right.
Do you want to check that again?
He's picking up
through the mouth, not below.
Hold on a second.
We're not really doing what
the mouth should be doing.
Are we really grabbing
the lettuce correctly?
He's putting his hand through the mouth.
- That's it.
- Through the mouth. Grab it.
That's what we were doing
wrong, so once we realised that,
then we knew we were on the right track.
- Thank you.
- Yes! We've made it out.
- Come on.
- Let's catch up now. Come on.
That's all it was, bro. That's all
it was. We got there at the end.
Road Block.
"Who's got a sinking feeling?"
You I think you got this.
I believe in you. You're
gonna do it. Let's go.
- Dwes, what's wrong?
- Dwes, get up. Dwes, get up.
As Sikhs, Anurag and I
have always been brought up with
a simple foundation, that we
never leave anyone behind.
Get up, mate. Come on.
You got this. Dwes, get up.
- No, don't, don't, don't.
- No, no, Dwes. Dwes.
- Do you know how many times we tried?
- No, I just need time.
Dwes, look at us. You've got this.
Every single person right
now is talking about
how strong you guys are.
This is your leg. If there's
any leg in NT, this is your leg.
We believe in you, dude. Think about
how amazing you've been doing.
Bro, that last leg
could have been yours.
You came second by that much.
Can you give me a hug before I go?
One hug, Dwes. Come on.
You know you want to.
- Come on. Give me a hug.
- Give us a hug. Get up. Come on.
- Get up.
- Alright.
Three, two, one.
- Ugh!
- Come on, guys.
Alright, give me a hug. Alright?
Just to even stop and take some time
out of their time that they've lost
to give and invest into me to
try and get me across the line,
I I don't know how to
really repay that favour.
And I can genuinely see their
beautiful human spirit there.
I don't know, Katherine. Are
you ready for an attempt?
Yeah. Let's just do this
and get out of here.
Back, back, back.
We don't have no hate or malice.
It's just who we are as cousins,
and we're always like this.
I'm sure, you know, people can relate
to having these kind of
challenging conversations
with people that they're closest to.
- She puts up with a lot with me.
- Anyway, stop talking.
I felt like a lot of weight
just lifted off my shoulder,
a lot of that stress
and pressure, and
..I was so relieved.
Thank you so much.
Good work.
Road Block.
"Who's got a sinking feeling?"
- Do you want to do it?
- I'll do it.
Katherine, come on!
Our next clue was
to go catch some barra
with just our hands and gloves on.
If you get it straightaway, babe
- Oh, shit!
- ..you could be out of there.
- Holy shit!
- Yep. Come on.
- Oh! One's got me on the foot.
- Do they hurt?
Don't know.
- Booties.
- Oh, yep.
We're really, really proud to be,
I guess, strong, independent females
and just showing that any young girl
can, if they want to
put their mind to it,
you know, they can achieve anything.
- Alright, you grab the net. OK.
- Awesome.
Look how big this net is!
That means we're catching
a massive barramundi today.
Yes! Let's go catch some barra!
Get straight in there, girl.
So the girls have just jumped
in, babe, and they seem like
..she's not struggling at
all with the walking part.
Holy shit!
Chris was just sort of very slow.
Ooh! Good job, baby. Oh, I
can't put it in the water.
- Sorry.
- Arggh!
Sorry. Did that hurt?
Get him! Oh, go, go, go!
Bring him to me, to me!
- OK.
- Bring him to me!
Oh, what are you doing?
Oh, get him!
I need to watch the vision,
'cause I don't know what
I did or what happened.
Score review, please.
Whoo!
Yes!
When I heard that
cheer, that's when your heart
starts to beat, 'cause you're,
like, "My gosh! They've got it."
We were gonna lose our lead.
You're just really taking it slow.
Pressure's on now. We
really have to get this.
I am relaxed! Stop!
- We can't lose this place.
- Oh!
Oh, get him! Whoo!
Yes!
- Oh!
- Come on. Get some grit.
Good job.
Good job, babe. Good job, babe.
Use all your strength to
put him in. Good job. Oh!
It was literally, like, I caught my fish
and then Chris was, like,
"Bam. Here's mine."
Thank you, thank you.
Well done.
- "Follow the map"
"..to Nev's place"
- "Find Beau at the Pit Stop. Hurry!"
- "Last to arrive may be eliminated."
- OK, let's go.
- Let's go.
At the end of an unassuming
dirt road, in this unassuming house,
you'll find one of Humpty
Doo's most famous residents,
the world's loudest burper, Nev Sharp.
Welcome to Humpty Doo.
And he's fired up the barbie
to welcome us to town.
And it's the perfect place
to have the Pit Stop
of the eighth leg of The
Amazing Race Australia.
That's a nice sausage, Nev.
Nice.
This one, this one, this one. Let's go.
- This is our car?
- Yeah.
It's OK. It's OK. Zip up.
Zip up. Don't lose anything.
You want to chuck that
stuff in the boot?
Nah. Nup.
- OK, so, you know where we're going?
- Yes, I know where we're going.
- So go back the way we came.
- Straight ahead, baby. Keep going.
- Straight ahead. Yep. Cool, cool.
- And then go left.
Oh.
Crazy, man.
- We do like to win.
- We do.
We're competitive.
We don't like to lose.
Oh, my gosh.
Hello!
I get in the water and there's these
spiny, scaly barramundi everywhere.
They're so slippery!
- Good?
- Go.
On our way in
to the barramundi farm,
we were talking about who was
gonna go out and catch 'em
and who was gonna stay on the edge.
- You right?
- Yeah, bro.
It's a water challenge. I mean,
I'm not water. I'm land.
- Here, look, there's one behind ya.
- Where?
Yeah, just swim around. Like a shark.
That's him. Get hold of
him. Where'd he go?
Oi-ya! Free Willy.
- Oh, my God, I got it!
- Grab it, grab it, grab it!
- Hang onto it, Amanda.
- I can't reach.
Wrestle that fish.
You got this. You got
this. Hang onto it.
Yes, Amanda.
- Yes! Yes!
- That's it, that's it, that's it.
Yes!
Whoo!
"Follow the map to Nev's place
and find Beau at the Pit Stop.
"Hurry! The last team to
arrive may be eliminated."
- Yes!
- Let's go!
Nev's place, by the looks of
it, is on the right-hand side.
We really wanted to win today
and make our South Australian
family really proud of us.
Oh, yeah, baby.
Whoo!
Is this a road?
Slow down a little.
Oh, I just saw it.
Yes, we wanted to win this leg.
- That looks like it to me. Yep.
- And are we going in?
OK. Go, go, go.
OK, let's go.
Oh! Oh! Oh, my God!
Round this way.
- Good job, baby. I'm so proud of you.
- I'm so proud of you too.
- Welcome to Humpty Doo.
- Thank you.
MJ and Chelsea, you are
first team to check in!
Come on!
Oh, yeah!
Awesome.
- You've also got a First Class Pass.
- Whoo!
- Know what that is?
- Yes.
I think we get to go away
somewhere and have a good time.
The main thing is, you won't
be competing in the next leg
and you can't get eliminated.
Brilliant.
You'll also be going somewhere special.
- You deserve it.
- Thanks.
Also you'll be waiting
with me on the mat
for the final two teams
to check in to serve
both a Salvage and a Sabotage.
A Salvage will give a team
a massive advantage
and a Sabotage will
severely slow a team down.
You have to make a decision.
And you have to pick out
of those two bottom teams.
Hopefully, it doesn't bite
us in the bum.
Hey, guys.
Chris and Aleisha, you are
second team to check in.
- Yes. OK. OK.
- Yoo!
First place was this close,
so bit bittersweet today.
Bittersweet.
- Well done.
- Thanks.
- Thanks, Beau.
- Thank you.
I was super-keen to get in there.
But we had the Super
Sikhs right behind us,
and then right behind them
was Dwes and Katherine,
which are two pretty strong
teams for this leg of the race,
and I just wanted to
make sure I aced it.
Don't forget to take a breath, Jake.
- How'd you go?
- Yep, aced it.
Yes!
You ready to get out of here,
you'll need one of these.
Thank you very much,
mate. Appreciate it.
So, what am I looking for, then?
Barramundi farm. It's
on this road somewhere.
We'll see signage for it.
Yeah, this is it. Let's
catch this fish quick, V.
What, the Cowboys are still here?
I thought they would have
been really good at this.
- So slippery.
- Yeah, they would be.
- Do you want to have a go?
- You're joking!
- You'll be better in there.
- Oh, yeah.
The person who can't swim.
Come on, quick. Go, go.
How am I meant to find fish in here?
The only time I've seen
barramundi is at the restaurant
when you order it for dinner.
I've never seen a live barramundi
or been in the presence of
..a jumping, swimming barramundi.
Might be dangerous,
but I'm a fearless man.
Looking over and
seeing Dolor jumping around
and yahooing and
squealing, carrying on
..that was a bit of a laugh.
Oh!
Yes, I got one! Get the net!
No, no, no, no, no, no,
no, no. Oh, I got it here.
Yes!
I went in there
..screamed a little bit
but then caught the fish.
- Only a little bit.
- Only a little bit.
Come on, come on, come
on, come on, come on.
Can someone check?
Yes!
"Follow the map to Nev's place"
"Find Beau at the Pit Stop. Last
team to arrive may be eliminated."
You got this, bro.
We were really scared.
I mean, we came into this leg
thinking we wanted to come first.
All of a sudden, we're
stuck at the back.
You got this, bro. I believe in you.
There was a split second
where I started panicking
when I was underwater,
but that's where I had
to just stay calm,
unclip that belt and just escape.
Well done, bro! Well done! Yes!
Reflecting back on our journey,
I think Katherine and I, we've grown
so much during The Amazing Race.
Katherine is strong and she is
the muscles in our little group,
and I feel like she can smash this.
Hopefully, we'll get in front and
make up some of our lost time.
Come on, Kath. You got this.
I'm obviously
a confident swimmer.
So I actually didn't feel too
bad about this Road Block.
Brace, brace, brace!
I thought I had
all of my breaths timed.
But then I was just
thrown off in the end
..and took one big breath in and
managed to take heaps of water in.
I thought I was gonna die.
Come on, Kath.
Think she actually swallowed some
water when she was going down.
I just don't know if
I can do that again.
Honestly, I thought I was
gonna die, 'cause
..you think, like, they're gonna
help you straightaway and then
You can you can do
it. You definitely can.
In my mind, I know that if I
don't complete the Road Block
that we're gonna face
a penalty at Pit Stop,
but I'm struggling to get past
this and I just need to do it.
So do you think you can go back?
If you don't feel comfortable doing it,
then I'm not gonna push you to do it.
But we need to make a
decision now, then,
because we're discussing this here
and it's just taking up our time.
'Cause we don't know what the penalty
might be, one hour, 30 minutes.
What do you what do you want to do?
- Yeah, I can't do it.
- You can't do it?
I made the tough decision to
just not do the Road Block at all.
I just couldn't get past
it mentally that
..you know, I could go
down and do that again.
Katherine? Are you
gonna have another go?
- No.
- Here's your next clue.
Thank you.
However, you will receive
a time penalty at Pit Stop.
- Good luck.
- Thank you.
"Make your way to
Humpty Doo Barramundi farm.
"Catch a barra with your hands
to receive your next clue."
Alright, let's go.
You know, obviously, us
being familiar with Darwin
and knowing the places,
hopefully, other people are lost
going to Humpty Doo,
'cause it's a fair drive.
Just hoping we can make up time
so that our time penalty at the end
isn't too bad.
Which way did you
turn on the highway, Skye?
Left.
But we're supposed to
be going the other way.
I just need some help
in knowing where we are.
Today was a very
hard leg in terms of travel.
We're not heading in to Humpty
I'm asking you, do you
want me to turn around?
We got lost, and we got proper lost.
Dude, where's the Arnhem Highway?
The Arnhem Highway's the other way.
As we're heading there,
we're looking around for the signs
for barra farm, not seeing any signs.
We're, like, "Maybe we're
going the wrong way."
It seems like Humpty Doo is a whole area
and the middle point,
which is the exact address,
is actually the other direction.
We lost about 20 minutes,
20 or 25 minutes,
and then we knew that could
potentially mean us being last.
So, Skye, obviously, Dwes
and Katherine do have the advantage
of knowing the area, so
I'm pretty worried right now.
Oh, the Cowboys are here.
Dwes, get in there and show
them how to do it, man.
Yeah. Come on. Let's do this.
Let's just you go with the net.
Yep.
Then I'll just go and rip that thing
with whatever strength I've got
and rip it out of the water.
I wasn't too sure what to really expect.
But I think I was just,
like, in the moment now
where we just need to smash a
challenge, we need to get one out.
Can't corner 'em, bro.
I can definitely feel all
the fish swimming around my legs
and under my arms and everything.
You got one?
Yes!
Dwes just comes straight in
there, reaches down, grabs it,
pulls it out - I reckon he pulled
it out of his pants, mate.
- Yes! Yes!
- Whoo-hoo!
Thank you.
That's a record, bro.
We never thought
we'd be in this position,
obviously, overtaking a few teams
and then being able to
get back into the race.
And now we're just on
our way to Pit Stop.
Yeah, I'm pretty concerned about
this penalty we're
gonna face at Pit Stop.
So just hoping that those teams
get caught up at the last challenge
gives us a bit more time.
Oh, man.
Good job, Brendon!
"Find Beau at the Pit Stop. Last
team to arrive may be eliminated."
Beautiful.
Let's do it.
Ashleigh and Amanda, you
are third team to check in.
- Yes!
- Good effort.
- Good effort.
- Thank you.
Today was a great day. I feel
like we're back in our game.
We're we're in the right
headspace. And we were having fun.
- Well done. Yeah.
- Whoo!
- Thanks.
- Thank you!
- Let's go.
- Right down here.
Right here.
Holly and Dolor.
You are
..fourth team to check in.
Arriving fourth at
the Pit Stop was amazing.
And this is the best we've
done out of all the legs.
- Jordan and Violeta.
- Hey, Beau.
- You are fifth team to check in.
- Good job. That's alright.
We're here.
Katherine! Come on!
Yes!
Dwes and Katherine, you are
..the sixth team to arrive.
However, you did not
complete the Road Block.
So you now face a 30-minute penalty.
Please stand behind the girls.
Today has been,
like, one big bipolar day.
Like, we went from one
extreme to the other.
And now my mind
was racing against time.
- Let's go, bro. Yep. Let's go.
- Are you good?
It's just been an
emotional roller-coaster.
Some days, you do really well in the leg
and then other days you don't, so
Due to our time penalty,
we have to wait for
other teams to arrive
before we can be checked in.
Brendon. Jackson.
You are seventh team to
arrive. Sixth team to check in.
It was quite stressful
not knowing where the other teams were.
And now it was a race
against time for us.
There's a sign coming up.
- Fogg Dam?
- Fogg Dam. Go there.
So lucky.
Catching the barramundi,
I just wanted to get in the water,
get that fish and make sure
we weren't in last place.
I wasn't feeling super-confident
because we'd just downed
one of their friends
and I imagine fish, you know
- Hold grudges.
- ..hold grudges a little bit.
- What?
- Ugh!
- Did one swim you in the nuts?
- Yep.
Are you OK?
Nope.
I had to stop and take a minute
and reassess the situation.
Holy
I need to get my rashie, so take this.
- You got my rashie in your hand?
- In your hand. Take it.
We were very worried about
coming last at this point.
- Jake, the Sikhs have just got here.
- Let's just focus on what we're doing.
Super Sikhs
did happen to rock up,
which did put the
pressure on a little bit.
Nearly had it, bro. Nearly had it.
I knew it was gonna be difficult,
but I didn't think it would
be as difficult as it was.
I've got one. I've got one.
Oh!
Down.
Really good, Anurag. Very,
very good. That's it, bro.
You know you can do it.
- God!
- Jake, I can't go any lower!
There were several fish that I caught
and just couldn't get them out
of the water quick enough.
- You yelled at me too.
- Yeah, I did.
Yes, bring it in. Bring it in.
That's as far as I can.
Catching barramundi, you
can do it in a second.
You can do it in an hour.
It all comes down to how
do you grab the fish?
- Bring it out a bit more?
- Yes, if you can.
I can't climb this. I can't climb this.
- You're not gonna lose him?
- Nup.
Up, up.
- It's on your leg. It's on your leg.
- Come on!
Yes!
- Thanks, brother.
- Thank you so much!
OK. "Follow the map to Nev's place."
"And find Beau at the Pit Stop.
"Hurry! The last team
may be eliminated."
- Let's go.
- Let's go.
We know exactly
where we sort of have to head
to get to the Pit Stop,
and it was a race to the finish.
We just had to make sure
that we beat the Sikhs there.
This is the last leg. We
know we're following the map.
Let's keep following that,
let's get there and let's run.
We're not going home today. We're
not ready to go home yet, baby.
- Right?
- Yep.
Nice work, Skye. Great work.
Go, go.
Oh, hello, puppy!
Are you gonna show us the way?
I wasn't too sure
where we were placed.
I was still holding on to some hope
that we weren't actually coming last.
Skye-Blue and Jake.
You are
..the eighth team to arrive.
- To arrive, but are we checked in?
- But the seventh team to check in.
- Oh!
- Yes!
Jaskirat and Anurag, you are
..the ninth team to arrive, but
..you're the eighth team to check in.
So that makes Dwes and Katherine
the last team to check in.
So, Dwes and Katherine,
please step on the mat.
Because this is a predetermined
non-elimination leg
..no-one's going home.
However
..the girls, MJ and Chelsea,
will both be serving a Salvage,
which will give someone
a massive advantage,
and a Sabotage, which is
gonna slow someone down.
Girls?
It's pretty
gut-wrenching and pretty hard,
I won't deny it - that's
probably the hardest thing
I've had to do all day.
Uh, we've obviously only had two
days to work out who you guys are.
We can see it that you
guys are such a big threat,
you've obviously won a leg,
so, unfortunately, we're
giving you the Sabotage.
With our Salvage, we're giving
it to Katherine and Dwes.
We know that obviously
they've been eliminated before.
Sounds like it's been
a bit of a tough day.
So, hopefully, that can
keep you guys going.
It's just been one massive day,
and then we get the Salvage,
and it's just sort of, like,
"Oh, my God. We're still here."
It was like the
cat that never dies.
Very lucky, you guys.
Very, very lucky, you two.
And well done, everyone.
You're still alive, you're still
alive, and you're in the lead.
Go have a rest.
Coming in and winning a leg
and then getting a rest
and a First Class Pass,
I honestly think they've painted
a massive target on their back.
And you know what,
it probably does us a favour,
because we knew we had a
massive target on our back.
We're hoping this target shifts.
Next time on The
Amazing Race Australia
- Heading to Alice Springs!
- Whoo!
When the race arrives
in the Red Centre
- Never been.
- Never been.
My dad's gonna be so proud of us!
- ..the Salvage
- That's for racing.
- ..and Sabotage
- Uh-oh.
..are revealed.
This could be what sends us home.
And after the ride of a lifetime
- Best experience on the race so far.
- What the hell is going on?
- That's a tree?!
- ..teams come crashing back to earth.
Whoa!
Then a new rivalry begins
Come on, girls.
I definitely grabbed the pen before you.
He snatched it out of my hand.
I hope they're not angry at us
now, but I think they hold grudges.
So they're probably angry.
You have your little victory.
We'll beat you later.
- ..pushing one team
- I can't do this!
..to breaking point.
- Oh, my God.
- Keep breathing, baby.
