Three, two, one Go!
It's been an emotional
roller-coaster for our teams.
I can't keep doing this!
Oh, he fell really bad.
You're killing me here.
- I'm sorry.
- It's OK.
Grow a pair and let's go and do this.
But it's also been
- This is The Amazing Race!
- It's amazing!
..the adventure of a lifetime.
Yes! Yes!
I'm grateful for the opportunity.
I'm just so blessed to be a part of it.
Tonight, teams pull in
to South Australia
Welcome to Coober Pedy!
Oh, my God.
..to one of the harshest
places on the planet.
Are you gonna get claustrophobic
down in the mine?
Nah, dead end!
There is a labyrinth
of tunnels under there.
And we turn the heat up even further
You guys know I like surprises.
- What?
- You're kidding.
..with some serious muscle.
My God!
They are two human Hulks. Not ideal.
Back on the train!
We're on The Ghan.
Our nine remaining teams
boarded in Alice Springs
and are on their way to South Australia
for the next leg of The
Amazing Race Australia.
The majestic Ghan
is a kilometre in length
and is the longest continuous
passenger train on the planet,
transporting its passengers in luxury
..from one side of the
country to the other.
I'm so confused.
We're just really
not good at puzzles.
This leg has already started.
Where'd I put that pen?
Our teams have been
locked in their cabins
- So, this is the safe.
- Come on.
..to solve a puzzle
- Finally.
- Oh, my God!
"Now open"!
..to unlock their doors
- Oh! Oh!
- Yooo!
..and determine the order they'll
leave for their next challenge.
This country
is so beautiful out here.
- Yee-ha!
- Yee-ha!
These are the boys.
And this is our view.
Beautiful.
Breakfast is six o'clock.
So, goodnight, bro.
Now close your eyes.
While the teams get some shut-eye,
The Ghan is travelling 700 kilometres,
from Alice Springs
in the Northern Territory
to South Australia's Coober Pedy,
the opal-mining capital of the world.
And it is hot.
It's so hot that 80% of the population
live underground.
And it's here where I've asked them
to gather on the platform
for a little surprise.
This is massive.
Coober Pedy.
So excited!
Welcome to Coober Pedy.
How was everyone's night last night
on The Ghan?
- Amazing.
- Good fun.
Splendid.
- Thank you.
- Great.
Well, you guys know I like surprises.
- Oh, no.
- Oh
So, I thought Coober Pedy
would be the perfect place
to introduce my latest surprise.
Now, what you guys didn't know
is last night, on this train,
there were some mystery passengers
travelling with you.
It's time to meet
..our second stowaways.
- Oh, my God.
- What?
- You're kidding.
- No.
So, give a big Race welcome
to Stan and Wayne!
Get back on the train!
Back you go!
- I'm Stan.
- And I'm Wayne.
We met seven years ago at the gym,
and that's how we became friends.
I think we've come to
the Race to change the stereotype.
Bodybuilders aren't
these dumb meat-heads.
How do you feel? How do you boys feel?
- Fresh, strong.
- Relaxed. Ready.
They are two human hulks.
They look strong.
Do you think these guys
are worried about you right now?
Yeah, they told us
to get back on the train.
I know how it feels to be them.
Also, they're my competition.
So, they've gotta go.
Do you guys think you can win
a quarter of a million dollars?
100%. Wouldn't be here if we didn't.
- 100%.
- Boom.
Alright, for the next leg,
we'll be leaving
in the order of your success
from last night's escape room.
Ashleigh, Amanda,
you'll be leaving first.
And, Stan and Wayne, as you will need
to earn your place in this race,
you'll be leaving last.
- Is everyone ready?
- Yeah!
Race safe, have fun and race hard.
Three, two, one
Go!
Let's go this one.
Alright.
- Whoo! Detour.
- Nice work. Detour.
A Detour is a choice
between two challenges,
each with its own pros and cons.
In this Detour,
teams will have the choice
between Above and Below.
Teams that choose Above must come here
and meet my good mate, Georgie,
the Greek bomb king.
He loves blowing holes in the ground
and looking for opals.
When he does that,
a thing called mullock comes up.
Our teams must carry
100 bucketloads of this stuff
and put it in the sifter.
Once they've done that,
they'll retrieve their next clue.
If they choose Below,
teams will be lowered
into an opal mine,
40 feet below the surface,
where it's pitch black.
They will need to navigate their way
through a maze of long,
dark, underground tunnels
to find an opal amongst
the thousands of rocks
scattered about.
They'll be equipped only with
a blacklight torch
to reveal the opal glowing in the rock.
Now, if that's not hard enough,
they then have to find
their own way out
through a secret entrance
to an underground hotel.
And there, they'll receive
their next clue.
- Below. For sure.
- OK, let's go.
- Let's go Below.
- Let's go Below.
- Let's just choose Above.
- OK, we'll go with Above.
Here we go.
So, the Detour,
well, the physical challenge
is the sifting.
That's true, we just sift.
'Cause we can power through that.
So, the Above.
Are you 100% sure that
we're going in the right direction?
100%.
Yesterday, we finished up
in first place,
which was amazing.
We were stoked that we came from last
and got into that first spot.
If we can maintain this,
we could come first today.
The Below Detour
definitely sounds the most fun
and we usually thrive at the ones
when we're having fun
'cause we don't get stressed.
"Directions to Below Detour."
We started today
in second place.
This leg, we really want to do
one better and get our first first.
Ah
Are you gonna get claustrophobic
down in the mine?
- No, I'll be fine.
- Are you sure?
'Cause you do get
really claustrophobic.
I don't love small spaces.
Um, a little anxious around them.
Like, I just don't want to
get down there
and you have, like, a panic attack
and we have to leave.
We didn't choose the Above Detour
because I don't have anywhere near
as much strength as the other teams.
So, his fear of underground
isn't as bad as my fear
of lifting heavy things.
"Find your own way out."
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
- Is that? Does that scare you, babe?
- Yeah.
Oh, yeah, we could
have screwed up, there?
Alright, brother.
- Below?
- Below? OK, let's do Below.
Let's just do it.
- Above.
- Yep.
Detour.
Below.
- OK, come on.
- Let's go.
- Let's do Above.
- Let's do it.
- OK.
- Let's go.
- So, it's off the main strip?
- Yeah.
Last leg, we finished
at the bottom of the pack.
This leg, we want to finish at the top.
We've got the new stowaways, so
that's gonna be pretty interesting.
Let's run our own race. We're not
here to compare ourselves to anybody.
We've got our own skills
that make us very unique.
- Whoo!
- Let's do this, girlfriend!
Alright, let's go!
We chose Below because we've
both never been in
an underground mine like that before.
And it's a bit adventurous
which is so right up our alley.
This is awesome!
There'll be a clip
on the front here.
OK.
Both of us are really confident
with ropes and heights.
We do a bit of climbing.
- Yeah, I think that's good.
- Rightio, heads down.
- Thank you.
- See you in a sec.
See you soon.
Cool, cool, cool.
- Stop!
- Oh, my God.
Oh, wow, it's dark in here.
Wow, I can't see.
- Here, here, here, babe.
- Hold onto me.
There's a labyrinth of tunnels
under there.
Your eyes were just not adjusted
because it was just black.
And we have to find rocks with
tiny little bits of opal in them
in the pitch black.
Ash, you want to try up here?
- Ashleigh?
- Yeah.
Come up and turn right.
Have you found one?
- Oh my God.
- So frustrating.
Let's do it.
I'm a bit nervous.
Just a little clip up here,
at the front.
- Yep, no worries.
- Think I have to nervous pee.
Is there a bathroom around here?
Uh, there's there's a lot
of open space.
One of the biggest fears,
I thought, coming into this race,
if we'd have to go underground.
I was really nervous
that we'd made the wrong choice.
Chris?! Chris?!
Quick, quick!
So, you all happy there. Hold it.
I'm not gonna lie.
I'm petrified.
Rightio. And, yeah, like I said,
if you get stuck,
I'll pull you out.
Maybe he'll be just fine.
But, that being said
..he sometimes gets pretty scared.
Ahh!
It's not that far. You're
almost at the bottom.
Alright, stop!
Good job, babe!
Oh, Jesus.
- Whoo!
- It's so windy!
Gloves.
Oh, my God. This is gonna be
a heavy-duty job.
Yeah, but we can do it.
That pile?
And then to you.
We're filling up
100 buckets of mullock
Go the other way. Turn the other way.
..and pouring it into the noodler.
When Dad and my mum
first migrated to Australia
from Croatia,
they lived in Coober Pedy.
And then he started opal mining
with his brother-in-law.
It's in my blood.
- Oh, sorry.
- Step up, player!
100 buckets. Let's do it.
Let's go.
Oh, my God.
Yes.
Wow!
We're still in this.
Which one do you want to do?
- Below.
- Yeah, let's go below.
Let's go. Below it is. Let's go.
Those two guys are BUFF!
- At least we didn't start last.
- Yeah.
The new guys coming in
got us second-last, you know?
Where we're comfortable at.
- Yeah. Our prime position.
- Yeah.
- On the Race.
- Hee-hee-hee-hee.
- Go.
- Let's go.
There's the clue.
We get a lot of comments all the time,
like "Roid muncher."
- Above.
- OK. Let's go.
It's heartbreaking
'cause it's so much work
to get in the best shape possible.
It's 25 years of training,
day in, day out.
We're not just pieces of meat.
Where's the keys?
I can't believe I couldn't
find the keys at the start.
I sat on them. With my barge-arse.
Too much squatting, bro.
Oh, my God. This is creepy as.
Trying to find an opal
when you can only use
a blacklight torch to find it
seems impossible.
Oh! There's two!
- Is it? No.
- Oh, no.
- Another red herring.
- Goddamn it.
Yeah, this is nerve-racking.
I can't really see
anything in front of me.
Whoa.
This is making me really anxious.
Oh
That sucks. OK.
Yeah.
Whoa!
Going down
That's Skye-Blue and Jake behind us.
Yeah.
Let's go. Let's do this.
I don't I can't see where I'm going.
It was really hard, this challenge,
'cause you can't rely on
seeing anything.
Shine it here.
Nup, not there.
- I got one, I got one!
- You got one?
- I think I might.
- Nice. Good one.
Now we've got to find
our way out of here.
We can't go back up.
Look, this rope goes this way.
OK. Yeah.
Good job, girl. Keep it up.
- Guys.
- Whoo, the Cowboys are here!
- Hey!
- Hey, how are ya?
- Oh, you look like you're havin' fun.
- Great.
I can't see! Can't taste anything.
Just dirt.
We're fit and we have
the determination to get this done.
Aaagh!
67, 68 just there, Chel, so
69, here we go!
We're semi-professional athletes
so we're not scared of pressure.
Pressure is good, especially
in football, when we play.
We've got a long four quarters.
Hopefully, at the end,
we can get the four points.
Two to go! One! Whoo!
One to go, Chel. Come on!
Done.
Thank you very much.
"You must manoeuvre
a series
"..of mirrors
to highlight your next clue."
For this challenge,
teams must travel
to the underground church
of St Elijah the Prophet,
built entirely by volunteers
in the latter part of the 20th century.
Once there, teams have two minutes
to painstakingly manoeuvre
a series of four mirrors
to reflect a laser beam
onto a giant opal.
Only when the laser hits the opal
will they receive their next clue.
And so you lot at home
can see what's going on,
there's an infra-red camera
to track the lasers.
Whoo! I hope I made my dad proud.
Papa, that's a tough gig.
I really hope Dad brings us luck
in the next challenge.
Last one.
Done.
- Thank you.
- Thank you very much.
- Thank you.
- I appreciate it.
OK, let's go. Where's the buckets?
We picked the most physical challenge
because it's a physical challenge
and we can pump through that.
Hey, don't break your bucket.
I think other teams
will think we're a big threat.
They'll look at us physically
and just be
.. "Wow."
So, that's our game play.
Play on their fears a bit.
I think they're mentally flippin' out
because they're tired,
they're run-down.
The race is on now.
No worries.
We'll probably be able to
pick up the pace a little bit
..and get out of there
as quick as we can.
I can't see. You behind me?
Ow.
Be careful. Don't hit your head up top.
Is that one?
- Yep.
- Whoo!
Let's get out of here.
- Ash
- Yeah, I got it. That's an opal.
- OK. So you've got one?
- Yep.
OK, shall we go this way?
Nah, dead end!
It's pitch black.
We can't see anything.
Where do we get out?
- Is that Skye and Jake?
- Yeah.
We're trying to find the way out.
It took a long time
to find our opal
but it's taking us even longer
to find our way out.
Where are you, Amanda?
We want to try that way, Skye.
Did you guys already go down that way?
We went ages that way
but there's heaps of, like
Maybe in there.
I don't think so, Skye.
No? I'm
- No, I reckon it's through there.
- Surely it's not the crawling space.
I don't think it is either.
Oh, God. How do we get out of here?
Ow!
Righto. Going to tighten
this up a little bit.
In this challenge, we've got to go
underground into a miner's pit.
Ooh.
We had to find one opal
and then find our way back out.
Ahh!
We're the last team to go down
into the mine.
We can find the opal fast
and pass the other teams.
- Dark.
- Bat cave.
"Danger. Falling rocks."
We'll go round the other way?
So this challenge just felt impossible.
We were concerned about how long
it was going to take us to do.
Oh! Oh, my goodness!
We've got one!
Come on, we've got to find a way
out of here now.
Come on. Let's go.
Two to go, big dog. Go!
- Did you do 19, Wayne?
- Yeah, mine was 20.
No, mine was 20.
Oh, 21, then.
Anurag, come back.
We're done. We're done.
- Go, boys.
- Good luck to you.
- Cheers. Let's go, let's go.
- Thank you.
Back to the highway.
- What's that? 24?
- 20
- 22.
- Oh!
100!
Yoo! Done.
Thank you very much.
- What's that? 26?
- Yeah.
I'm fucked.
I like mining. It's quite fun.
We go back over here.
- Yeah.
- That's opal.
There's one. Let's get out of here.
Not that way, maybe this way.
Oh. Let's go.
This way. I see the light.
Oh, my gosh! I'm so proud of you, baby.
I thought you were going
to be so petrified.
Yes, yes, yes.
This is an underground hotel. Whee!
- Thank you so much.
- Thank you, Mel.
Keep moving. Let's go.
We're losing time now.
- We want to go out.
- What about here?
Yeah, that's the way out. Go.
Go, go, go.
- Hello!
- How are you going?
Thank you very much. Thanks, Mel.
Thank you so much.
Thank you. Thank you.
- Should have left our car there.
- I know!
Let's go, let's go, let's go.
Up to the car.
OK, there's a simple way.
Hopefully we beat some other teams.
God, let there be light.
We made it!
I feel like this will be a lot
quicker than the other challenge.
Yes! Thank you.
We got this.
- Dolor?
- What?
- Shall we go out through here?
- Huh?
Shall we go out through here?
Why would you go through here, babe?
Holly, we were going the right way.
It clearly wouldn't be through there.
Make sure you follow me.
98!
Let's beat them. Come on.
99. Last one.
Get ready to get the clue.
- How many do I have to do?
- This is it.
Yes.
- Is that right?
- Get ready for the clue.
Get ready to get the clue. Let's go.
Route Info.
"Successfully manoeuvre a series of
mirrors to highlight your next clue."
Physically, yeah, that played
to our strengths,
that last challenge,
and I think we got on top of it.
It's just about being a bit smart.
Where do I go, Wayne?
Just go straight and then turn left
onto Hutchinsons Road.
I am miserable at map reading
and directions.
I don't remember a street name
But the road doesn't say
Hutchinsons, it says Oodadatta.
Why have they changed all the names?
- Dead end.
- This way?
- No, no, no, babe. Follow me.
- OK.
It's just that I was looking.
I know where I'm going.
- Not this way?
- Huh?
Not this way?
- We've been here before.
- OK.
Yeah, you're right. Alright. Quick.
- Beautiful. Thank you.
- Thank you.
- I appreciate it. Thank you so much.
- Thank you.
Told you we were going to kill this
challenge. Let's get out of here.
So we're going
to the Serbian church.
- Underground?
- Yeah.
- Yeah.
- Yeah.
This is great. First ones here.
In this challenge there's an opal
in the middle of the church
and a laser coming from the altar.
We have two minutes
to bounce this laser
of all these little tiny mirrors
and then hit the opal.
OK, so that to that one.
That one, that one, onto the jewel.
- OK.
- You get to me.
Just leave it.
That's good, that's good,
that's enough.
If we fail, we have to do a second
attempt and line up behind everyone.
- So if we move this
- Oh, that thing!
Yeah, OK.
First come first serve,
so we'll end up waiting in line.
Locked the car?
Stop touching that one because
the more you touch it, it moves.
Right, right, right, right.
Is that going also? Not really.
It's not hitting.
It's not coming to Did you
Ah! Nah, that's done. We're out.
Let's go, let's go!
So the boys are in.
MJ and Chelsea
actually failed that,
and that got us nervous.
We need to do this
in the first attempt.
If we can get this right in one go,
we're in the lead.
Anurag, no.
I need to point it this way.
- OK.
- Switch it.
- How How
- Point it at the mirror.
- And then I'll
- Is it going there?
Or you want to go a little bit higher?
- Is it holding there?
- It's holding.
- Go around that side? Yep.
- This way won't
Yeah, I will I will I'll move it.
Can you turn your body? Swing it,
swing it, swing it, swing it.
Yep.
- Is that too high?
- Yeah. Point it somewhere down.
We've got three mirrors lined up.
We just need this last mirror
to line up and stay in place
to light up that opal.
Yes, yes.
Yes!
Thank you so much.
- Roadblock.
- Roadblock.
"Who's good at sign language?"
You're really good at
remembering stuff, dude.
OK. I'll do it.
A Roadblock is a challenge
that only one team member
must choose to complete
based on a cryptic clue.
On arrival to any country town or city,
you're usually welcomed
by an enormous sign.
Well, Coober Pedy ain't no different.
In this challenge,
teams must come down here,
and one team member
must paint the next letter
in the order that they arrive in.
They will paint their letters
in Amazing Race colours -
half red and half yellow -
to receive their next clue.
When they've completed it,
they'll move on.
And let me tell you something.
It is windy.
I know where it is. I know where it is.
There was a sign on my map that said
"Welcome to Coober Pedy."
Oh, yeah, they're wobbly as.
OK, that's in the book, huh?
OK, OK, OK.
Hold on.
Yes, yes!
I think we did it! Oh, my God!
OK. I was really worried there.
- Let's read.
- "Who's good at sign language?"
- That's you!
- Are you sure?
- Yes.
- Are you sure you trust me?
- I don't want to let us down.
- I trust you for this one.
Oh, God. OK. Yep, me.
You're getting there, babe.
Keep going. Yes, yes, yes.
Whoo! First attempt!
"Who's good at sign language?"
- Me?
- Are you going to do it? You good?
The Cowboys just rocked up.
Alright, let's nail this one.
More teams could arrive at any minute.
I can't really explain it
until you're done.
Has to go down there?
If we fail this attempt, we have
to go at the back of the queue,
behind everybody else.
- OK, let me
- Yeah, come.
We've run out of time again.
We're slipping further and further
down the pack.
Back of the queue.
Now we just gotta wait.
Did you see the name
of the road?
It said 'Oodoondatta'.
- Road or not?
- Nuh.
On the way to the church,
we missed the turn-off.
That wasn't Hutchinsons Road?
It didn't seem like it.
Everything looks the same.
The country is so flat.
There's no landmarks.
Are we turning around, Jordan, or what?
Yeah. Straight up.
A little mistake that just drops you
in the pack.
Oo duh Oodoondatta.
Are you sure
that's what we're looking for?
Yeah. Turn right here.
- Back on track.
- Yep.
Slow, slow, slow. It's here.
It's here. Slow, slow.
Hopefully it doesn't set us back
too much.
"..orthodox church
onto Stuart Highway."
So, what's Stuart Highway?
Turn right or left?
This is daunting.
No, wait. Wait, wait, wait, wait.
We're lost. Panicking.
Yeah, we got to go back out that way
and then turn right. Sorry.
- Is it?
- I'm pretty sure
You really got to get on
the directions.
I'm looking from down,
so it looks right to me.
I'm hopeless. So confused.
See the flag
coming from the fence?
Yes, so this must be the back
or the side.
This must be the parking. Alright.
So park as close as you can, babe.
- Whoa!
- Wow!
Oh, God, it's so windy.
We have to paint the first letter
because we were first!
I just read it once.
The left half yellow, right red.
- Alright, bye.
- Bye. Good luck.
The left half yellow, right red.
Oh, I'm not strong.
Oop!
Left, yellow. Right, red.
Left, yellow.
Right, red.
Yeah, are you happy with that?
Oh
Left. Left.
Aleisha has some problems with
her left and her right sometimes.
I do, I do!
So I have to remind her
which hand she writes with.
I can't believe I did that.
Uh! Oh! It's actually
pretty tiring work.
My arms are already killing me.
We're here!
When we arrived to the challenge,
we find out there's six other teams
probably in front of us now.
Really need to turn this around.
Has anyone seen the new stowaways?
- There they are.
- Oh, my God. New team.
They were huge. Like, one of
their arms was, like, blitz.
Big like like my whole body.
- In one arm.
- Yep.
Physically intimidating.
What challenge did you guys do?
We're not intimidating.
We train for ourselves.
So funny, display yourself like this,
you know, doing this.
I just want to get to know everyone
and hug everyone.
Everyone was so lovely. It was great.
Oh, you only have two minutes?
You get two minutes.
If you don't do it,
then you have to come back in line.
Dwes is always helping other teams
whenever he can.
He's too good.
We don't want to walk over anyone
to win.
So amazing.
- There should be a queue.
- There's six teams here.
Let's go, bro.
Steady hands, bro.
Yeah.
- Got it?
- Got it. Whoo!
- Good done.
- Well done.
"Who's good at sign language?"
- It's you.
- It's me?
- Yeah.
- Righto.
- Oh, there we go.
- That's it. That's a good spot.
And then just kind of
fiddle with this one.
You have to be so precise.
We seriously need to nail this.
You're doing awesome.
- Yes!
- Well done. Good job. Good job.
Roadblock.
Let's go.
- Don't move it. Leave it.
- It doesn't stay, though.
That's the thing. I don't know
if I'm not manoeuvring it properly.
Bugger.
Come on, come on, come on.
Oh, Jake,
why did you do that?
Come on.
- They get it?
- Nuh. That's hard.
Makes you realise the Race
can just flip in a switch.
Yeah, 100%.
And that means we're three spots
ahead of
- At the moment.
- ..everyone.
If we can make it through this
challenge without getting stuck.
So, good luck, guys.
We got this. We got this.
We really need to nail this now
because there's so many teams here.
If we don't, we could end up
in last place.
Can you move it down?
How do you get it to stay?
Want me to do that?
Yeah, you want to do this one?
My hands are shaking.
The mirrors just won't stay still.
Let's go.
Yeah. Get it on there.
- Do you reckon these guys will struggle?
- I hope so.
We'll see. I don't know anything
about them.
- I'm holding this one, Wayne.
- Yeah, that's
The mental tenacity that
bodybuilding requires is so extreme.
Where's the other one?
You're training, you're tired,
you're hungry, you're thirsty.
So something like the Race,
and we can put that mindset into play,
I think we've nailed it.
That it? Tell me when. Talk to me.
- Yeah, hold it there.
- I'm going to move this one.
That one on there?
Mirror, mirror
You can't pose in there.
So we just lined it up.
Shine that bad boy up.
Shine that bad boy into there.
Yeah, we got it, Wayne.
We've got it.
Yes!
- Good work, buddy boy.
- Yes!
I think people assume that we're dumb
and when we get to know them,
we can prove them wrong.
They got it. They got it.
That's a stitch-up.
You don't want to lose to the team
that gets here straightaway.
Especially in khaki pants
and a singlet.
Yeah.
Roadblock.
Uh
- I'll have a go.
- Let's go.
There it is. Coober Pedy.
The big sign.
It is.
Perfect, perfect, perfect.
and then there should be
a parking lot out of the back.
Alright, so
Yeah, go here, go, go, go,
and then turn left.
- Do you see any flags?
- No.
- That's a massive Coober Pedy sign.
- Hold on.
This is a parking lot. "Park at
the parking lot out at the back."
Let's just ask this guy. Let's ask
this guy. Wind down the window.
Hey, mate, can you maybe just Google
for us if you got a phone?
Just "biggest Coober Pedy sign."
That'd be legendary, dude.
What does he mean, we look dodgy?
We must look like a mess.
Nuh. Unfortunately,
we're not allowed to use it.
It's a race. We're not allowed to use
mobile phones.
I can't touch the phone
but I can look at it.
- You are an absolute legend.
- Do you want something for your face?
- I got some wipes.
- No, no, we're good, man.
We just gotta get there
Just that gunk in your eyes
We've just been in the mines
and everything.
Left
We were like, "You are kidding me."
All I want to do
is get to the next challenge.
Thanks, bro. Appreciate it.
Thank you, again.
OK, go.
I'm so tired.
There's more weights than
I've ever carried ever, I reckon.
And that wind Whoo!
As long as we do this
in OK time,
we're still at the front
of the pack, which is great.
This is so tiring!
- This is hard!
- Doing great.
Princesses can do anything.
- That's awesome.
- OK. I think I've done it.
I think we did it.
Hello. How does it look?
- Oh, thank you!
- Good job.
Thank you, it looks beautiful.
- Thank you very much.
- That's awesome. Thank you so much.
Thank you.
- Whoa! It's windy.
- At least the paint will dry.
"Make your way to
the Coober Pedy golf course.
"Catch a hole-in-one to
receive your next clue."
Coober Pedy Golf Club is one
of the driest in the world,
where the greens are black
and the fairways are white.
In this challenge our teams must
come here to Coober Pedy Golf Club
and play a wacky game of outback golf.
One team member will be hitting balls,
and the aim to get the hole-in-one.
The crazy thing is their teammate
will be holding the hole,
and once they catch one
they will receive their next clue.
And it's windy.
It is very windy.
See me try to battle the wind?
Yeah.
Do you really want me to hit the ball?
Because you will have much better
hand-eye coordination
of catching balls, right?
Yeah, but if I hit them
right where you are,
you might not have to do much
to catch it.
I'll be scared of them.
They'll be flying at me.
I'll be like, wahh!
Is this it? What's this on the right?
As we approached, we could see
this big Hollywood style sign
saying "Coober Pedy"
and the C has already been painted.
Seeing that, we realised
we were no longer coming first.
Whoo!
You got this, Anurag!
Use your height advantage.
Yeah, girl, you got this! Paint that O!
Painting in the extreme weather that
we were experiencing, windy, dusty,
was crazy.
He's a boy, he's messy.
You can do this.
Get it done, big dog. B for Brendon.
How do you feel, Brendon?
That's the go.
- OK, come, come, come.
- We don't have time.
- Quick!
- Yep.
Hold this and put it up here.
- Holly.
- Yeah, I'm trying to get it.
- Come on, babe.
- I'm trying.
- Oh, my God.
- You try.
- I need you to go somewhere else.
- OK, OK.
Babe, your hands are shaking,
your hands are shaking.
Ohh!
- Hands are shaking.
- I wasn't shaking.
I was getting it
but you kept moving it.
OK, now you do it.
We were so close. We were so close.
There we go. That's close enough.
Maybe a bit higher.
Beautiful.
- Great job, guys.
- Yeah.
Well done!
- OK. Roadblock.
- Roadblock.
I reckon you should be doing this one.
Talk to me, Skye.
You have the reflection
Yep, you've got it on there.
It's on, Jake.
- That's good. Let's go.
- Thank you.
Where are we going?
Alright. Roadblock.
Am I doing this one?
- Yeah.
- OK.
Don't panic!
You're doing it really neatly now.
This is good. Really good.
Yeah, boy!
How's that?
Yep, put it down.
Put it down. Put it down.
Check.
How is that?
- Thank you!
- Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Let's go, let's go, let's go.
Whoo! Yes, yes, yes, yes!
Ready. Ready.
We are red and ready. Enough!
Don't touch me with the paint. Go.
"Make your way to
the Coober Pedy Golf Club."
Let's go.
You're almost done, dude.
Keep it up, brother.
Alright, let's paint.
- Here you go.
- Let's go.
Alright, let's go!
- Yew!
- Thank you very much.
Thank you. Have a great day.
- Well done.
- Alright, let's go.
We're here first.
We're the first team to arrive
at the golf course.
Oh, it's pretty windy.
Have a look around for the golf.
Alright, you can read it
and I'll get the golf attire.
- OK. Grab your hat.
- Look how cute this is!
"One of you must use a club
to launch the balls
"and one of you must catch
using the golf green provided."
- OK, yep.
- That's so small.
- So tiny.
- OK.
I have really bad
hand-eye coordination.
Which way would you hit?
- You're right-handed.
- Yeah, yeah.
I'm trying to figure that out.
So there is no way I'm getting out
on the field
and trying to catch these golf balls.
OK.
So I was pretty nervous.
Oh, God, I don't know how to golf!
I've never done it!
This challenge could be where
everybody overtakes us.
You missed the ball!
You've got to hit the ball!
I know!
- Oh!
- You missed the ball!
You've got to hit the ball!
I know!
So I was pretty nervous.
This challenge could be where
everybody overtakes us.
Keep going, baby. Take your time, OK?
We were, like, worried
about our position in the race.
We know we have Holly and Dolor
behind us, so we're second last.
Is it there?
But we were really
determined that we were gonna do it.
Yeah, come back, come back.
Yep, yep.
Katherine is always
the beacon of hope for me.
She is always getting me
through really tough challenges.
Yes!
Yes!
I felt really proud,
and we're still in this race.
Thank you very much. Thank you.
Who's good at sign language?
- Me. I can.
- Alright, you do it.
If we see anyone, ask them
where Coober Pedy golf course is.
I'm just trying to find
the other map that we had.
We came from the left.
We didn't see anything, yeah?
Yeah,
but we need to ask someone, though.
Go left, go left, go left.
Let's just spent two minutes
trying to find
That's alright. Let's not panic.
Alright, pull in here. The museum.
Let's just ask at the museum.
Because aimlessly driving
never works for us.
You go down Seventeen Mile,
then you follow it around and you'll
see the golf course turn-off.
Have a great day! Thank you.
Can we take this map as well?
- Yeah.
- Oh, my gosh. Yes.
- We marked us where we are here.
- Yep.
And you'll find the golf course
just here.
Amazing. Thank you so much! Bye.
Dolor was really concerned
because we're already
at the back of the pack,
even though we left second last.
It's right here, babe. Holly.
Yeah, I'm trying. I've got to get this.
Come hold this for me.
Maybe our luck's run out and this is
the day that we get eliminated.
OK, come, come, come.
We don't have time.
Quick!
Come hold this and point it up here.
Point it up here.
Let me fix this.
Is it hitting it?
Yep, it's hitting it.
Thank you.
That was all I was trying to say
Yeah. We are so excited.
We're thinking we're still in this.
Let's smash it out.
Thank you so much.
- Thank you. Thank you.
- Thank you.
"Who is good at sign language?"
- You are.
- Oh, no, I'm not.
Alright, I'll do it, I'll do it.
Just giving it a bit of colour,
spicing up the town.
Well done! That's it! Keep it up!
Oh, to a T!
Or an E!
Alright, Picasso,
are you happy or what?
I'm happy now.
- Let's go! We've got a race.
- OK.
- Yeah!
- Yes! Thank you so much.
- Thank you very much.
- Thanks, mate, appreciate it.
- Lovely to meet you.
- See you.
Alright, let's go.
Oh, it's so windy.
We didn't realise when we got there
that the unpainted letters were
how many teams were behind us.
- Pedy.
- Pedy.
- Pedy. So, four.
- Yeah, four.
Which was refreshing to not be in last.
That felt really good.
Go, Wayne.
Don't forget it's a race, Wayne.
Come on. No professional job.
Just roll it out.
We met seven years ago.
Wayne was extremely scrawny.
And needed as much advice as humanly
possible and I gave it.
Move it, man. Prize money.
He thinks he's the boss.
I think I'm, like,
a father-figure to Wayne.
No. Definitely not.
Definitely not a father-figure.
Strong man. Pump up now.
Pump the delts, Wayne.
You love delts day.
Yeah.
Love a shoulder work-out. Come on.
I think that's it, man.
Let's go.
How did we go?
Yes!
- Thank you. Thank you so much.
- Thank you so much.
"Make your way to the Coober Pedy
golf course."
Alright, let's go.
"The left half
of the allocated letter
"must be painted yellow
and the right half red."
- So the what task?
- You can see it.
It's fine.
Every letter's gonna be the same.
So we've got the letter P.
We've got an easy letter, V, so you
should do this really quickly.
So we've got Holly and Dolor
behind us.
So we're hoping we can make up
some time at this Roadblock
because I love painting,
I know sign language,
so this should be an advantage,
Katherine.
Yep, well, it requires you to be neat.
- You're pretty neat, are you?
- Neat?
Yep, perfect. I'm that.
My OCD will kick in.
If your painting is anything
like your ironing
it's going to be spot-on.
Most definitely.
Super windy. The paint
is going everywhere.
It's alright. Doing a good job.
Well done, guys! Good to see you here.
- Good to see you here.
- You've got this, Skye.
Get it in there. Come on.
Great work, man. So good.
- You alright, V?
- Yeah, it's hard to get the top.
I'm too short.
Come on, Kath.
Remember, half and half, Dwes.
- Come on, Skye! Keep going!
- Come on, V.
He's doing it wrong.
- Dwes is doing it wrong.
- He is doing it completely wrong.
Yeah. He's picked the wrong letter.
You have to do 'em in order of arrival.
Right.
- Dwes! Dwes!
- What?
Oh, my God.
He should be painting the letter D.
No!
This is gonna cost us.
Wrong letter.
We're in second last place right now
and we could be pushed to last.
- Dwes!
- What?
Oh, my God, he should be
painting the letter D.
No.
You don't choose any letter,
you have to paint the next letter
in order of arrival.
I started painting the Y,
thinking it was probably
the easiest one to get away with.
- That's it, Dwes.
- Come on, Skye.
I really need to turn this around.
I'm, like, they're just smashing it.
I don't even know how to paint!
Good work, Dwes!
You can get through this last half!
You're doing really well, V. Come
on, you're nearly there! Come on!
Go.
We've been in last place
before and somehow held on.
But it feels like our
luck's running out.
You're doing the Y.
- I did half of your guys'.
- Oh, did you?
- I accidentally did it.
- Oh, thank you.
- I was like, "Oh, thanks."
- Yeah.
This is just the lucky break
that we need.
You're nearly there, V.
Come on, let's bring it home.
Oh, my God.
There we go. That's it. That's it,
V! That's it, come on.
Yeah, good girl.
How's the letter P?
OK, go clean up.
Good work, Dwes!
Dwes, that's good!
Can I have a check?
Yoo! Whoo!
- Thank you.
- Thank you.
As young Aboriginal people,
we're always learning
Come on! Let's go, come on!
..no-one should ever put limits
on their ability.
You can do anything.
Come on, Kath!
Come on.
"Make your way to the Coober Pedy
golf course.
"Catch a hole in one to
receive your next clue."
Come on, let's go.
- Good job, baby.
- Oh, the wind is going that way now.
Well, aim for that way.
Yes!
That was really, really good.
- Too hard?
- Yes.
- OK.
- Alright, hit me.
I love you!
- Oh, my gosh.
- Caught it. It's there.
And he caught it. We got a hole in one.
- Hole in one! Hole in one!
- Are you kidding me?
- Are you kidding?
- Whoa!
I love you. Let's go.
Come on.
- Thank you so much. Thank you.
- Thank you.
That was a miracle!
- That was awesome.
- I've never golfed before.
"Drive to Crocodile Harry's
Underground Nest
"to find Beau at the next pit stop.
"Hurry, the last team
to arrive may be eliminated."
Oh, my gosh.
All teams must make their way
to Crocodile Harry's
eccentric Underground Nest,
made famous in the Mad Max movie
Beyond Thunderdome.
And it is way, way, way off
the beaten track,
even by Coober Pedy standards.
Do you think we can be first?
I mean, surely.
Yeah, yeah, yeah,
we're in first, surely.
- OK, we just can't get lost.
- OK.
OK, do we see
What's this sign say on the left?
- I think it's up there. I see golf clubs.
- Perfect.
That's a hat. That's a hat, dude.
OK. And then I take this out
and you gotta chip in.
Anurag, these are gonna be soft balls.
- Keep going harder.
- Harder?
Slightly harder. No it didn't reach!
Let's go, girl.
- Babe, you do catching first.
- OK. Alright, hurry, hurry.
- Yeah, baby!
- Got it!
Awesome! This is how you play golf!
Yes!
- Are you proud of me now?!
- Yeah, baby.
Oh, my blister, you popped it!
I'm sorry.
Even he's proud of me.
- Thank you.
- Thanks, mate.
Thank you, let's go.
"Drive to Crocodile Harry's
Underground Nest
"to find Beau at your next pit stop.
- "Hurry, the last team may be eliminated.
- Let's go.
You're nearly there, V.
Come on, let's bring it home.
There we go. That's it. That's it,
V. That's it. Come on. Come on.
Yeah, good girl.
Yeah, well done. Well done. Good girl.
You did so well. You did really well.
- Thank you so much. Thank you.
- Thank you. Alright, let's go.
Come on, Skye! Let's go!
Can I please get a check on E?
Thank you so much. Thank you so much.
- Let's go.
- Thank you.
"Make your way to
the Coby Pedy golf course.
"Catch a hole in one
to receive your next clue."
- Alright.
- Let's go.
Jeez Louise.
- Bloody windy too, bro.
- Isn't it?
- Too far.
- Stand further back!
Oh!
Get it!
No!
Look at me, Amanda,
don't look at the ball!
- Yes!
- Yes!
Thank you. Thank you so much.
Come on, let's go.
Whoa, it's windy.
"Drive to Crocodile Harry's
Underground Nest
"to find Beau at your next pit stop.
"Hurry, the last team
may be eliminated."
You caught that like a boss.
Any info on where Crocodile Harry's is?
Nah.
- You reckon it's in town?
- No, I have no idea, baby.
OK.
Crocodile Harry's!
- What?
- Where is that sign pointing?
Shoot. Crocodile's Nest. I saw it.
- Are you sure it wasn't pointing this way?
- No, no.
- Crocodile Harry's. This way, this way.
- Which way?
Crocodile Harry's this way.
We're going the right way.
Was there a sign?
Yes, there was a sign that said
Crocodile Harry's this way.
- Sick pick-up, mate.
- Unless it was down that road.
- Unless someone had bent the sign.
- Do you want me to go back and check?
No. It was more pointing this way.
We're pretty sure we're in third,
so we gotta smash out
and get to this pit stop ASAP.
We may even be able to make up
a place if the other teams are lost.
It's says shooter's club,
Crocodile Harry's.
See? That's what I'm saying,
Crocodile Harry's points this way.
That's why I'm saying
it's super-confusing.
It's gonna be a red-dirted golf course.
It's not gonna be green,
that's for sure.
"Catch a hole in one to
receive your next clue.
"You may catch the ball
of another team."
Coober Pedy Golf Club.
Yeah, that's on it.
What's that, then? Is that our hats?
I've got a pinhead.
It's gonna fly away.
I've got a pinhead.
I need to keep it on.
- Hey!
- You betcha!
Cheers, mate.
Tiger Woods would be proud.
"Drive to Crocodile Harry's
Underground Nest
"to find Beau at your next pit stop.
- "Hurry, the last team"
- "To arrive"
"Will be eliminated." Let's go.
Catch it! Catch it!
- Thank you very much.
- Thanks, mate. Appreciate it.
- Crocodile
- Crocodile Harry's. Yes!
Yes! Yes!
How long have you been in Coober Pedy?
- 15 years.
- Do you like it?
Oh, it's alright. Better than the city.
So, what, do you live
underground, do ya?
- Yep, 30 feet down.
- And what do you do down there?
- Oh, hide from the weather.
- Women?
- Weather!
- Oh, OK. Yeah, yeah.
I'm so excited!
- Hello!
- G'day.
- There's a puppy.
- Welcome to Coober Pedy.
- Thank you so much.
- Thanks. Are you Harry?
- No. Harry's dead.
- Oh, no.
Chris and Aleisha,
you are the first team to check in.
Oh, my God.
Because I'm in a good mood,
you've also won $5,000 cash each!
No way! No way.
That's awesome. She can't even talk.
- That's a lot of, a lot of money for us.
- That's so much.
We wanna, like, have a family
and that will get us on the way.
It's news to me, this baby.
Thank Swampy, thank Ben.
Thanks, Swampy. Thanks, Ben.
And I'll see you again.
Go and rest undercover and get
the dirt and salt out of your eyes.
- Hey.
- Hi.
- Welcome to Coober Pedy.
- Thank you.
Ashleigh and Amanda,
you are second team to check in.
- What?
- No way!
- Amazing.
- Smashed it.
Yes. Oh, my God, I'm so happy.
When we communicate properly
we can do anything.
Good job, girls. Well done. Well done.
Whoo!
Impressive.
We need to ask someone here
There's someone on the road.
There's someone on the road.
Oh, perfect, perfect, perfect.
Where is Crocodile Harry's Underground?
- Go back to Seventeen Mile.
- Yeah.
Go that way. You know
So back onto Seventeen Mile
and we turn right?
- Towards the town?
- Yeah, yeah, go up there.
When you've got the sign,
you can see the sign there.
Before the golf course?
Yeah, before you turn right
to the golf course.
- Oh, turn right into golf course.
- But then right then left.
Oh. So turn right into golf course,
then left.
No, no, no.
I don't know how we're gonna
be able to find it.
Why is this happening to us?
We're in bloody Woop Woop.
Let's go. Where's the entry?
There's the entry.
No, no, that's the entry back there.
This way. Come on.
- Is it?
- Yeah, it's back there.
We're used to competing but this
is on a completely different level.
We need to get changed, but.
Like, you don't have time to think.
So we've got coloured balls.
I think the only thing that's close
is when you're in that last week
of prep bodybuilding requires
and you're depleted so much
that you can't think.
But you don't have to think about much.
Wait, wait, I don't think
it has to go that far.
They didn't say it has to go
down there.
On the green.
That's the golf green there,
you've got in your hand.
- Bro
- Yeah, I gotta catch it.
Yeah! But it doesn't have to
be on THAT green.
That's our green we have to catch it,
not on the green.
- Hurry up. Do that.
- You'll never catch it.
Idiot.
Oh, my God!
I see cars! I see cars!
- Crocodile Nest left.
- Yes! Yes! Yes!
- Crocodile Harry's left.
- Crocodile Harry's Underground Nest.
Welcome to Coober Pedy.
- Thanks, mate.
- Cheers, mate.
Jaskirat and Anurag, you are
..third team to check in.
- Yeah, baby.
- That's how we do it, bro!
- Huge effort.
- Whoo!
- Finally!
- Come on!
There's been a few hurdles
and you boys keep getting better.
I'm really proud of that.
- Thanks.
- Thanks, mate.
Good effort. Go on. Keep moving.
You can do it, Wayne!
Move back.
Oh.
Too much.
Come on. Let's run down.
Oh, there's two teams coming up, Kat!
So one has to hit and one has to catch.
Right, there's three teams here.
So, go, go, go.
Haven't played golf before in my life.
So this requires me
to actually putt the ball.
Good ball!
And Katherine has to catch it
with this hole.
This was very much a new experience
for me.
Argh!
Oh, catch it! It's up in the air!
Argh!
We're still in this.
We're still in this.
Oh. This could be hard.
Can you catch, babe?
Come on, V, start swinging.
Oh, my God.
Here, Kat.
Catch! Ooh.
Should I be the catcher?
And try and catch someone else's ball?
I'm just a really competitive guy.
I wanna win at all costs.
Yeah, boy!
Yes! Yes!
What a team.
Ooh, such a good job.
You did good.
Let's go.
Come on. We can beat
the other guys now.
We can beat the other guys.
Oh, Crocodile Harry's.
- Yes.
- Go over.
Oh, it goes off the page.
- We're back.
- Yep.
The rookies.
We were sixth leaving
that challenge, V.
- Maybe we're now seventh.
- Yep.
- To those big boys.
- I just saw Crocodile Harry's.
- This way.
- Oh, did you?
- Yeah.
- Right.
Keep an eye out on those road signs,
yeah?
G'day.
Welcome to Coober Pedy.
- Thank you very much, mate.
- Thanks, bud. Nice dog.
- He's a good boy.
- Eh.
Brendon and Jackson, you are
..fourth team to check in.
- Beautiful.
- You bet. Good stuff.
- Come on.
- Cheers, mate.
Now, go find some opals for my kids.
- Get outta here!
- Good one.
OK. Heads up. Let's go.
She's windy.
Here's our girls.
Welcome to Coober Pedy.
- Thank you so much. We love it.
- Thank you.
MJ and Chelsea, you guys are
the fifth team to check in.
- That's good. Good job.
- Well done, girls.
Good effort. Say hi to Swampy and Dan
and get out of here.
Thanks, guys.
- Yours, Skye. Yours, Skye!
- Much easier said than done, Jake.
Go, Skye! Quick!
Oh, yes! Skye, let's go!
Oh. Ho-ho-ho.
Thank you very much,
mate. Thank you. Thank you.
Thank you so much.
Good job. Great work.
You got this, babe.
Now it's just us versus
Dwes and Katherine.
I'm very competitive
so I really wanna win.
I have a feeling I'm gonna have to
hit it harder, Kat!
It's just so windy,
you can't get a good shot.
And when you do, it carries about
70 metres down there, so
Come on, Kat!
Come on, babe, you can do it.
We're going to make sure
we're doing what we need to do
to win the game.
There's a lot of money up for grabs
and we're gonna do
whatever it takes to win.
Come on, Holly. That's perfect!
Now it's just us versus
Dwes and Katherine.
There's a lot of money up for grabs
and we're going to do
whatever it takes to win.
Ahh! Trying to catch it!
It's up in the air!
Whoo! Yes!
Holly ended up catching a ball.
The ball that Dwes hit.
- Sorry, guys.
- Holly, hurry up!
We're pretty happy because it means
that we're still in the race.
So I finally hit the perfect ball
and it goes straight into Holly's net.
I wasn't happy.
Obviously it was
really disappointing.
Holly being able to catch the ball
that Dwes hit.
At this point, we knew
we were last in the race.
- Thank you so much.
- Thank you.
- Thank you. Cheers.
- Thank you.
"Drive to Crocodile Harry's
Underground Nest
"to find Beau at your next pit stop.
"Hurry! The last time to arrive
may be eliminated."
Let's go.
That's it, Dwes!
If we have any hope
of staying in this race
..we really need to nail this.
Come on, Kath!
- Thank you.
- Thank you so much.
Thanks. Come on. Let's go.
"Drive to Crocodile Harry's
Underground Nest
"to find Beau at your next pit stop.
"Hurry! The last team to
arrive may be eliminated."
Let's go.
Let's go, let's go, let's go.
Park, park.
Come on, come on, come on, come on.
Yoo! Hoo!
Welcome to Coober Pedy.
- Thank you, mate.
- Thanks for having us, mate.
Stan and Wayne, you are
..sixth team to check in.
Jordan and Violeta,
you are the seventh team to check in.
Big effort, hey?
Yeah.
How'd you feel about
these guys this morning?
- Yeah, it was
- Very shocked.
It was honest shock. Yeah, it was.
Stan and Wayne,
was it everything you expected?
Everything and more.
- So exciting. Loving it.
- Loved it.
Well done. I'm proud of
yous. Not last. Good stuff.
Thanks, Beau.
Bring it in. Group hug. Come on.
Well done. Well done.

Welcome to Coober Pedy.
- Thank you.
- Thank you very much.
Skye-Blue and Jake.
You are
..eighth team to check in.
- I knew that was coming.
- Yeah.
- As long as you're not last.
- Yeah.
Go rest, get the dust out
of your eyes and I'll see you soon.
- Good job. Come on.
- Thank you.
Oh, no, I'm not seeing it on the map.
- Crocodile Harry is this way.
- Are you seeing it?
- I just saw a sign.
- Oh, beautiful, thank God.
This is the sign that said "this way"?
Yeah, but, just, where is it
on the map? Where is it?
I don't know
if you're going the wrong way, but.
- Let me pull over.
- Huh?
- Let me pull over.
- Where was the
Show me, show me, show me. Where is it?
Top left, top left. Top left.
So on Rowe Road,
did you turn right or left there?
Yeah, I've gone the wrong way.
Crocodile Harry.
We have a map with us.
So there might be some hope here
that we may not be last.
Kath, I think we just done
amazing today.
We literally just went through,
like, a roller-coaster.
- But it was really fun.
- Oh, so it's off this way.
So that was Miners. So go here.
Yeah, go here.
Dwes and Katherine got ahead of us.
They must've, yeah,
got their hole in one.
Katherine, put it here, didge.
The race isn't over till our feet
both hit the pit stop mat.
Do you reckon
they would've got ahead of us?
- Depends if they found it.
- Ah, looks like they have.
- They have.
- They have.
They got ahead of us, yeah.
So, one wrong turn cost us
I don't think they're here, babe.
Crocodile Harry?
In here?
- Welcome to Coober Pedy.
- Thank you.
Holly and Dolor, you are
..ninth team to check in.
You are still alive.
Just.
Always good to see you guys.
And give each other some love.
Like, come on, man.
Good work. I'll see you soon, eh?
Let's go. Let's go, Kath.
Let's check. Let's check in.
See how we do.
Welcome to Coober Pedy.
- Thank you.
- Thank you.
Dwes and Katherine
..you are the last team to check in.
Unfortunately, your time on the Race
is over.
It's just been one
absolutely amazing journey.
We gave it our all,
we didn't give up, we kept going,
and I'm so proud of what
we've been able to achieve.
Good stuff. I knew you could do it.
The best part of The Amazing Race was
meeting the most beautiful people,
people that have touched my life.
And I've had this opportunity to do
this with somebody amazing,
like my cousin.
And I'm just so privileged
to have this experience.
This race has just been, you know,
a life-changer for me.
From day one to now, I feel
like I've just grown massively.
Look at her. That's
That's the Katherine I wanted
everybody to see.
- That's the Katherine I know. Thank you.
- Come on.
Good to see you smiling.
Next time on The
Amazing Race Australia
..in the tiny town of Hahndorf
Whoo-hoo-hoo!
- ..teams race
- Oh, yeah!
- ..to get a taste
- This is gigantic.
..of Germany.
- Bring it!
- Bring it in here!
You didn't even use your cutlery.
Das ist wunderbar.
- Then
- We're in Adelaide!
- This is hectic!
- Can you hear me?
..could a colossal stadium challenge
People running around like chooks
with their heads cut off.
No! No, Chris!
..dash the dreams
..of the geek and princess?
