The Fosters s05e13 Episode Script
Line in the Sand
1 Previously, on The Fosters LENA: I founded this charter, and it was nearly turned into luxury condos.
I need to be given the job that I've earned, principal of this school! All of you asked me out.
I don't see why I can't date all of you.
- I'm cool with that.
- Yeah, I'm down.
Great.
We alter some of your cells, then reinsert them into your body to attack the cancer.
My friend, Ximena Sinfuego, has been living in a church because her DACA status is in question.
ICE has already detained her parents.
You're our new neighbors.
Mom went to high school with Tess.
- What if I'm gay? - Hi You were blatantly flirting with Tess in front of her husband.
(BREATHING SHAKILY) ALL: Congratulations, Principal! Oh.
- We're so proud of you! - I love it.
Thank you.
Where's Jude? - Uh, he's in his bed, sick.
- Oh - I'll go check on him.
- Okay.
MARIANA: So, how do you feel? Oh, excited.
A little nervous, honestly.
Hey, who's gonna be the vice principal now? Uh, I think I'm gonna wait until the new school year to hire someone.
Can you do both jobs yourself? It's gonna be a lot of work.
Are you gonna have time to be my para? I will make time to be in the classroom with you.
Oh! You two need to get your senior pictures and quotes into the yearbook, or you're not gonna be in it.
Do we have to do a quote? - Do we have to do it at all? - MARIANA: Oh, my God! It's your senior year! What's wrong with you guys? She's right, you have to do something to celebrate your senior year.
I already picked out my senior quote.
"A girl who leaves behind a trail of glitter is never forgotten.
" (LAUGHING) What? What about you, Mama? Did you have a senior quote? Uh, "When you learn, teach.
When you get, give.
" Maya Angelou.
Well, Jude has a fever, so I think he should stay home.
Mom, what was your senior quote? Oh, senior quote? No I don't remember.
- Oh, come on, yes you do.
- What was it? (SIGHS) "If you expect nothing from anybody, you will never be disappointed.
" Sylvia Plath.
Cheers.
- MARIANA: Cool.
- That's bleak.
It was the '90s.
- (PHONE CHIMES) - How are you feeling? I'm okay.
Um, I made an appointment with the therapist today.
- Oh, good.
- Yeah.
Oh, my God! - What? - They found our parents! Yeah, they're in a detention center in Otay County.
Otay Mesa.
Yeah, that's about 40 minutes from here.
- When can you see them? - Today! (THEME MUSIC PLAYS) It's not where you come from It's where you belong Nothin' I would trade I wouldn't have it any other way You're surrounded By love and you're wanted So never feel alone You are home with me Right where you belong You know, I'm surprised that you don't have a socket wrench.
You seem like such a handy guy.
Lost one of my toolboxes in the move.
Ah, I got you.
Well, there you go.
- Thank you, it's perfect.
- Absolutely.
Um, are you still on for dinner tonight with Tess and your friend Jana, is it? Jenna? Yeah, you know what? I kind of forgot about that.
- (LAUGHS) - Oh.
- Um - If you can can still make it, uh, do you think Could you I'm I'm not asking you to report back or anything, but something's up with her.
She won't tell me what it is, but I think she could use someone to talk to.
Yeah, sure.
No problem.
I really appreciate it.
I want to see your work for each problem.
All right? Ah, there she is, our new principal! Everyone! (WHOOPS) Thank you, thank you very much.
Just ignore me.
I'm not here.
- Hi, sweetheart.
- Hi, Mom.
(CLEARS THROAT) Uh as I was saying, I don't care You might want to check that one.
It's A squared plus B squared, not 2A plus 2B.
I I care about how you're finding the answer.
Yeah, Mom, that's what I meant.
CRAIG: So feel free to use the back of the test I, um Just, please, put a corresponding number so I know which question the work is for.
- You okay? - Mm-hmm.
CRAIG: Please keep your eyes, you know, on your own paper.
TONY: So, I got you a hearing.
I don't think it would have happened without the press coverage you got at the Shiloh event.
Can I go? TONY: Unfortunately, no.
They've been taking undocumented people from courtrooms.
It's too risky.
What we need is any video you have of the speech Ximena gave at the Shiloh protest on campus to prove she didn't make any threats against the government.
Yeah, I'm sure someone recorded it.
Good, 'cause without it, I think our chances are slim.
So, if she gets a stay, she can leave here? Yes, and they won't be able to target her while her DACA status is being decided.
Really? Can I go see my parents? You should be able to.
I'm sorry you can't come today.
It's okay, I'll tell them how much you miss them.
Tell them not to worry about me, and I love them.
I will.
(BOTH CHUCKLE) It's supposed to be your senior picture, not your passport photo.
- Where'd you even take these? - One of those mailbox places.
Why don't you do something memorable or funny? When I was a senior, we all went to professional photographers and had our hair and makeup done.
It was really a big deal.
(LAUGHS) For our senior prank, we actually put the principal's car on the roof of the school.
- (LAUGHS) - How? Well Billy McRay's dad was in construction, so he loaned us a crane.
I can't believe you did that.
I used to be fun.
Until you had a kid with cancer.
No, Grace.
Come on, no.
Trust me, I stopped being fun long before that.
Mom, you don't have to make me feel better.
Grace.
You know, I, uh, I don't think there's ever been a senior prank at Anchor Beach.
You should do one.
I I don't know if my mom would appreciate her car on the roof.
Well, the principals pretend like they're mad, but secretly, they love the attention.
They do.
Uh, yeah, I don't know.
I'm not, like, a prank kind of guy.
I can help you figure out an idea.
You don't want your senior year to be forgettable.
Come on, it'll be so fun.
Please? Please? (LAUGHS) - Hey.
- Hey.
So, I e-mailed everyone.
- And? - No one recorded Ximena's speech.
- Wait, no one? - I know.
It's crazy.
I saw a guy with, like, a professional camera filming everything that day.
That guy was from the Conservative Student Union.
Okay, so we'll ask them for it.
Come on.
All right, let's go.
Hey, why aren't you out there? Oh, uh, I can't scrimmage until I make the team.
I thought that you were on the team.
Nope, still fresh meat until tryouts in two weeks.
(GRUNTS) (GRUNTS) Hey! Number 8 just fouled Poppy.
Really, I didn't see that.
I guess neither did the ref.
Elbow in the back.
(PHONE CHIMING) - Hi.
- Hey! Where are you? Uh, derby practice with Mariana and Poppy.
I I thought Poppy was seeing her parents.
Uh, she is, after.
So, what happened to all that homework you had to do? I'm doing it.
I'm just gonna do it here.
- That's not distracting? - No.
- GIRL: Come on, get around her! - LISA: Come on, blockers! (GRUNTS) (BLOWS WHISTLE) There was four.
Oi! She passed four blockers.
Yeah, doesn't sound distracting at all.
Nice.
Uh, what? Yeah, just forget it.
I gotta go.
Wait, what is wrong? I just I feel like I don't get to see you anymore.
Not alone.
Want to go to a movie tonight? Can you? Are you sure? Yeah, I'm super sure.
Okay.
I'll, um see what's playing, and I'll text you.
Okay, I love you.
- Love you, too.
- Bye.
Hey, is this right? Do you really want me to tell you? Yes.
A triangle can't have two right angles.
(SIGHS) I used to be good at this, I mean, kind of good at this.
I suck at everything now.
That's not true.
I mean, you totally picked up on the derby rules really fast, and they're really complicated.
Hey, you know, we have a stats manager.
What is that? He basically tracks all of the jammer's lead percentages and stuff.
Don't worry, there's not a lot of math involved, but you'd be really good at it.
You blocked our guest from speaking on campus.
Why should we help you? 'Cause it's the right thing to do.
Our friend was exercising her right to free speech.
Yeah, a right you didn't think Shiloh McCullen had.
That wasn't about freedom of speech in the world, just her right to spew hate on our campus.
There's no difference.
Look, your own mission statement says that if someone's rights are being threatened, it is your responsibility to get together and protect those rights.
So, our friend is being denied her rights because she criticized the government.
Well, our mission statement says, "When a citizen's rights are being threatened " Your friend's illegal.
People can't be illegal.
Okay? And the Fourteenth Amendment says that the state can't deny any person equal protection of the laws regardless of their nationality.
You should check it out.
Yeah, well check this out.
We own the footage, and we're under no obligation to give it to you.
Ximena's parents have been detained.
Her 15-year-old sister has been moved into foster care.
This is a real family that is being destroyed.
And you can help.
No? Nothing? Really? Okay.
Hey, how was your first day, Madame Principal? Oh, it went really well! - Good.
- Why are you in bed? Oh, I think I think I got Jude's flu.
Oh.
What about therapy? I canceled it.
I am not faking it, love.
I swear I I would much rather go to therapy than this stupid dinner tonight.
Well, you're not going if you're sick.
Well, I have to because I promised Dean.
- Dean? - Yes, he's worried about Tess.
He doesn't know what's going on with her.
Um, obviously she's questioning her sexuality.
Well, I can't tell him that, can I? And I'm certainly not gonna sit back and be a party to Jenna breaking up their marriage.
Well, honey, I don't want you going and making yourself sicker.
Okay, well, I won't as long as you go in my place.
(COUGHING) (COUGHING CONTINUES) Where'd you get that? Um, Sean checked it out from the UCSD film department.
Since we can't get video of Ximena's speech, and she can't go to her hearing, I'm going to shoot her statement for the judge.
Hopefully he'll watch it.
She has a right to defend herself.
- MARIANA: What are you doing? - CALLIE: Hi.
Um, so, have you guys heard of anyone doing, like, a senior prank? Um, no, I'm not exactly keyed into the secret goings on at Anchor Beach.
I am, and I haven't heard anything.
Yeah, why do you care? Uh, Grace wants me to do one.
Why does Grace care? Well, she was home-schooled so she missed out on a lot, like prom, and I just think it would mean a lot for her if I did this.
And you know, if you guys maybe participated? And and got your friends to help, too.
Um, when exactly is this happening? Tonight.
GIRLS: Tonight? (PHONE CHIMES) (DOOR OPENS) Hey, how'd it go with your parents? Um what what's wrong? (CRYING) "Watch out, sweetheart, 'cause I had plans.
" (LAUGHING) Seriously.
Hey, sorry, I'm late.
Traffic.
Oh! I did not know - that you were joining us.
- Yeah.
Uh, yeah, actually, Stef is sick, so it's just gonna be me.
Oh Afraid to show her face.
What? We had a little, uh, tiff the other night after you left.
Oh.
What about? - Well - She was just tired and she wanted to get to bed, so.
Mm-hmm.
Well, you can tell her - that she can apologize anytime.
- (PHONE CHIMES) - WAITER: Can I get you a drink? - JENNA: Oh, yes, I'm ready for another one.
Tess? Sure, why not? - It's girls' night out.
- Yes, it is.
Um, I'll just have a white wine, any kind is fine.
Um, skinny margarita for me.
Skinny margarita? Oh, come on, you do not need to be counting calories.
Your bod is smokin' hot.
On second thought, I'll have a martini.
- Well, you - Facts are facts.
Thank you very much.
(DOORBELL RINGS) Hi.
You look really, really pretty.
Uh thanks.
Oh.
- You ready? - Uh, yeah.
You know how Poppy was supposed to see her parents today? Mm-hmm.
Well, when she got there, she found out that they actually moved them to a detention center in Arizona.
She's, like, really upset about it, and everyone else is either sick or out of the house, and I just don't feel okay with leaving her here alone, so do you think I could just tell her that we were gonna stay in and watch a movie? - (MOUTHING SILENTLY) - Popcorn's ready! Oh.
Hey, Emma.
(WHISPERS) I might have already told her that, so.
Um, were you guys going out tonight? No! N no.
Are you sure? 'Cause I can go upstairs if you want to be alone.
No.
No, no.
We don't wanna be alone.
We wanna be with you, right? Totally.
Okay.
Well have you ever seen Whip It? - No.
- Mm-mm.
It's about roller derby, and as our new stats manager, it's kind of a must-see.
- (CLEARS THROAT) - Mm? Stats manager? Yeah.
They they asked me to help out with the team.
Yeah, he learned the rules in, like, record time.
He's amazing.
After you.
Hey.
Hey.
Hi Mat.
Hey.
Uh, I'll be right back.
Gotta run to my locker.
Wait, I didn't know you were bringing Mat.
Uh, he's a senior.
Why? I didn't know that many people who would be interested in doing this, okay? I didn't know juniors were participating in the senior prank.
Oh, you're his plus-one.
Hey, you came! Awesome.
Come on, Brandon Foster doing a senior prank? Couldn't miss it.
So is this back on? No, not like back on.
"On" like a little.
So guess who has two thumbs and access to a whole orchestra of crickets? Uh, no, no crickets.
Nothing live or too messy.
I can't believe you're doing this.
Hi, Talia.
(CLEARS THROAT) So, what are we doing, Brandon? Uh, well, this is my girlfriend, Grace, and, uh, do you wanna just Yeah, we're gonna bring the beach inside Anchor Beach.
- That's cool.
- Okay.
That doesn't sound messy at all.
Well, that's why we have these tarps to help contain all the sand.
Contain sand? Yeah, so everybody, we have a bunch of stuff in the car, and we have to fill this place up with sand as much as possible, so On the tarps.
Does she even go here? Um, I'm sorry Wyatt's here.
I didn't invite him.
Why are you doing this? The prank? It looks fun, and you know I have serious FOMO.
No, dating all these guys? Look, I know you're scared of getting hurt again, I get that.
And I'm totally cool with taking it slow, but if you don't know in your heart we're meant to be together, then why are we doing this at all? Why you trying to keep it down low? Should I break up with Wyatt? Is there even anything to break up? You know what I mean? Mat things I'm using all of these guys as an excuse to not get back with him, because I'm afraid he's gonna break my heart again.
What do you think? I don't know.
I mean, did I ever really give Wyatt a chance? He's been so sweet.
I mean, come on, that calendar.
And Logan, he's so nice, and he's a great kisser.
You're kissing all these guys? Yeah, but I'm just kissing.
Anyway, Mat's my first love.
And he's leaving for college soon.
True.
Yeah, but if we're meant to be, we can survive a long-distance relationship.
- Right? - I And if we're really meant to be, why am I wasting all of this time? - Are you - You know what? You're right.
I should end it with Wyatt and Logan, and just go for it.
Thanks for the advice.
Yeah.
BRANDON: Wyatt! Come on, you're getting sand everywhere.
There is sand everywhere.
You're tight as ever, B.
Here.
Wha Yeah, that's that's actually nice.
Thank you.
Uh, are you sure we need more sand? Yeah.
You gotta be able to dig your feet in.
- So, what's the deal with that girl? - What girl? The one that was just massaging you.
Oh, Talia? Oh, there's no deal.
We just, uh we dated for a while.
Oh.
How long? Uh freshman year, and and sophomore year.
Wow, two years.
And a little bit of junior year, too.
So was she, like, your first? Um (PHONE CHIMES) - Who have you been texting the entire night? - Yeah! Oh, I'm just checking in on Stef.
Well, you should, um, probably just go home and take care of your wife.
Yeah, please don't feel like you need to stay.
Please.
(MOUTHING SILENTLY) - She's Oh, oh.
- WAITER: Here you go.
- Great, thank you.
- JENNA: Yay! That would be me.
I'm the skinny margarita.
- TESS: Thank you.
- WAITER: You're welcome.
So, marriage, right? It is not easy.
- Right? Cheers to that.
- (LENA LAUGHS) I know, Lena.
It is certainly not easy.
(CLEARS THROAT) Especially when your wife cheats on you.
- What? - Yeah.
My ex-wife joined a band at 40, and started banging the lead singer - No! - who was Oh! Oh, I am so sorry.
Thank you, thank you.
The truth is we weren't happy, and we should have just walked away as friends, instead of waiting til one of us really hurt the other.
That is a good point.
Or, you know, you should just work through it.
You know? Because all couples, they go through their ups and downs.
Right? And you always think the grass is greener on the other side.
But it's not at all greener.
And then you've gone and you've blown up your marriage, and and and, you know, it's hard on the kids.
So, my kid's doing just fine.
And staying in an unhappy marriage isn't good for them either.
Although, you know, studies show that kids from broken homes, they they suffer.
They suffer.
- Uh-huh.
- (PHONE CHIMES) Is it Stef again? Uh, no, it's the security company that patrols the school.
Somebody left all the lights on.
- Wow.
- Wow.
So, you you should probably go and check on that.
(SHOUTING ON TV) So, some people think that Ellen Page is too small to be taken seriously as a derby girl, but it's, like, look at me and Mariana.
We're small, and we kick ass.
Whoa, wait.
They just all stopped and knocked the other team down.
You don't really do that, do you? Mm-mm.
No, no, no.
In real life, they'd all be ejected.
Can we not talk during the movie? I'm sorry.
Hey.
Can I talk to you? Aloha.
Aloha! Hey, eyes are up here.
Oh, sorry, your your bra was distracting.
Think I might wear it for my senior picture.
Oh, yeah, you need to get that in, along with your quote, this week.
"There are far, far better things ahead than any we leave behind.
" C.
S.
Lewis.
I love that.
Do you know that 70% of the world is unexplored? No.
It's exciting to think about, isn't it? It is.
I'd like to explore it with you.
So, what do you think of Talia? - Talia? - Yeah.
She is a mixed bag.
Yeah, I found out she's Brandon's first.
It's just so awkward being in the same room with someone that slept with your boyfriend.
Mind if I hang with you? No.
Okay, you know what, guys? I think we have enough sand.
Thank you for that.
Come on, you know that's a waste of time.
Yeah, I know, I'm just trying to minimize the mess.
Who'd have thunk you and I'd be involved in a senior prank? I'm kind of sad this is all gonna be over in a couple of months.
Yeah, but you gotta be excited about Berklee, right? Yeah.
I mean, whatever.
You don't have to downplay it just 'cause I blew it with Julliard.
No, I'm not.
I guess I'm just kind of nervous about moving on.
Everyone's so over high school, but what if this is as good as it gets? What is these are, like, the best years of our lives? ZOEY: Hey, guys, let's try to keep it off the ground.
- Okay.
- (SCREAMS) (ALL LAUGHING) Oh! Come on! Have some fun, please? GIRL: Come on, Brandon! (GRUNTS) - GIRL: We have to go! - BOY: Go, go, go! What the hell is this? POPPY: I don't think she really liked it.
She's just she's just tired.
Well, thanks for staying in with me.
I know you guys were supposed to go out tonight and I just hope she's not mad.
No, she's she's not.
She's good.
- Goodnight.
- Goodnight.
- Hello.
- Mmm.
Is it over? Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
I should get home.
Wait, you don't wanna make out for a little while? No.
Well I Hey, whoa, whoa, whoa, come on.
Look, I'm sorry about tonight.
Hey, don't be mad, please? I'm not mad about tonight.
I'm mad that you don't have time for me, but you have time to be a roller derby manager.
I don't have time to be a roller derby manager.
Then why are you doing it? Because I I gotta feel like I'm good at something.
You're good at lots of things.
No, I was good at wrestling, Emma, but I can't do that anymore, and I was never good at school.
And now, I'm even worse at that.
I just I need something to be fun and easy.
I'm easy.
- Oh, yeah? - Mm-hm.
You can't be the only thing in my life that makes me happy.
If you don't want me to do it though, then I No, I I want you to do it.
I just I feel like since Poppy moved in with you and Mariana, sometimes I just feel like a third wheel.
Girl, you are my only wheel.
I'm talking both axles.
My drive shaft.
I mean, you are the windows - that go up and down automatically.
- Okay.
Okay, Foster, I get it.
I will make more time for you.
I promise.
I think we're alone right now, actually.
- Yes.
- Mmm? Yes, we are.
I told them it was incredibly disrespectful.
My first day on the job and they my own kids break into the school, and build a beach in the hallways? - I know that you're upset - It's not enough that I wasted my night trying to cock-block Jenna, which I'm never doing again, by the way.
If Tess wants to explore her sexuality, it is none of our business.
Wait, Tess was flirting with Jenna? - Yes.
- Oh, my I I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't care, and neither should you.
I still can't believe that Brandon organized a senior prank.
Yeah, with our own daughters as accomplices.
Clearly they have no respect for me or my position.
And if they don't, how can I expect the other students to? People think I got the job by default as it is.
Well, maybe one way to get some respect is to show that you have a sense of humor.
All right, so I'm just doing a horrible job all the way around.
Thank you for the support, thank you.
How many martinis did you have? - Stop talking.
- Uh-huh.
(SIGHS) I'm sorry.
It's not your fault.
I just I thought it would be good for you to do something fun for your senior year.
I said it's not your fault, okay? I shouldn't have done it.
Then why did you? For me, because you think I'm missing out on so much? That's the problem, Brandon, you're doing everything for me right now, and nothing for yourself.
I don't want you to miss out on things because of me.
I need to know that you're taking care of yourself.
I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything, okay? I'm exactly where I want to be, with the girl I love.
And I need you to not feel guilty about that.
Okay, fine.
Let's make a deal.
I won't feel guilty if you stop treating me like a Make-A-Wish kid whose every dream you need to make come true.
Okay.
But we still have to do the gig, so you have to make good on that one.
(LAUGHS) I will.
So, my T-cells are back.
Oh, uh, okay.
What does that mean? It means I won't be able to see you for a few days.
I have to be totally healthy when they put the cells back in.
So tonight was the last night out for me for a while.
Okay.
Um I mean, this this is a good thing, right? You know, the sooner you do this, the sooner you'll get better.
Yeah, I mean, we don't know if it if it's actually gonna work.
Really don't.
I do.
How much trouble do you think we're gonna be in? - Do you think she saw me? - Yes, Mariana.
I think that before you ran like a coward, she saw you.
XIMENA: Your Honor, I regret not being able to attend today, to appeal to you in person, but my friend is helping me make this - so I could explain the situation.
- Is that Ximena's statement? - How'd she do? - Great.
Except without the footage, it's her word against ICE.
Can't the university make CS whatever their name is give you the footage? The Conservative Student Union? No, I don't think so.
Without it, I'm worried that she won't even get her DACA.
Then what would happen? (XIMENA CONTINUES SPEAKING) She never leaves the church, or she gets detained.
Probably deported.
XIMENA: And I would never betray my parents' sacrifices by (CLICKS OFF) Wait This looks like the camera that the CSU used to shoot the protest.
What? Wh Damn! How'd they all find out? I figured a little shout out to the student body was in order.
Well, great, this is only gonna make Mama even madder.
Especially when she sees that! We gotta get rid of that! LENA: Good morning, seniors! How's the surf today? (STUDENTS CHEERING) - Yeah! - Woo! BOY: Ready for the beach, Ms.
Foster? By the way, this better all be cleaned up by the end of the day.
If I find one grain of sand, I'm going to make a beach in all of your beds.
BOY: All right! (STUDENTS WHOOPING) - It's not my problem.
- What? - Yes, it is.
It's our problem.
It's our problem.
- Your last name's Foster.
(KNOCKING ON DOOR) - Hi.
- Hi.
- Um, can I come in? - Sure.
Yeah, I heard you weren't feeling well, so, I thought I'd pop over and make a house call.
Oh, I'm fine.
Thanks.
Um Listen, I know we never talked about what I said to you at prom.
What are you doing, Tess? What do you mean? With Jenna? Flirting with her in front of your husband, in front of my wife last night.
Dean has no idea what's going on with you to the point that he's asking me if I know anything, and I don't know what to say to him.
And even if I did, it is not my business to.
You need to be honest with yourself, Tess, and with your husband or things are gonna get really messy.
Okay.
Um, well, I hope you feel better.
(DOOR OPENS) So I decided to call things off with Wyatt.
Okay.
But then I changed my mind.
Because I think the person that I need to end things with is you.
Okay.
It's not because I don't love you.
But I wanna look forward, and I feel like you're looking back holding on to what's familiar, like high school, and me.
And I'm excited to see what's next, not go back to what was, and I think you should be really excited about Boston.
Don't be scared.
You're gonna have great adventures, and you're gonna do amazing things.
I promise you the best years of our lives are not behind us.
where a student's humanity should not be challenged as some excuse for freedom of speech.
Racism should not be allowed in academic platforms! WOMAN: Build a wall Okay, after viewing this video, I see nothing in what the defendant said that sounds even remotely like a threat to the security of the United States.
Therefore I am granting a stay of deportation until Ms.
Sinfuego's DACA status is decided.
(KNOCKING) BRANDON: Hey.
Hi.
I know you can't open the door, but I have something for you, so I'll just leave it here.
And, uh and I sterilized it for you, too.
Okay.
I love you.
I love you, too.
(DOOR OPENS, CLOSES) Of all the pretty things to ever grace this earth I know that you I know that you're the first To ever make me feel the way I do And I won't dance around the truth I wanna be with you I will be the fool who falls for you Tonight He's a good one.
Hell, this fall could bruise I know.
But it's worth the while Pastor Nicole, all of you, I can never thank you enough for everything you've done for me.
You are always welcome here and we will be praying for you and your family.
Do you know where you're going? Stef and Lena said that I could live with them until my DACA status is approved and I can be Poppy's legal guardian.
That is so lovely of you.
We're happy to have her.
There are some people and press outside.
Are you ready for that? Okay, let's go.
(LOUD CHEERING, APPLAUSE) Waiting for the sunset in your eyes Waiting for the truth behind the lies Let's go, ladies! Yes, push! Good job! Yes, come on! (GRUNTS) Oh, hey.
Emma's here.
MARIANA: Hey! Hey, what's up? Well, since my best friend and my boyfriend are obsessed with the derby, I thought why not give it a try myself? (LAUGHS) We can always use fresh meat.
- Uh, yeah.
- Totally! JESUS: That's great.
Cool.
Thanks for coming today.
We gotta keep your story alive until you get your DACA.
Where'd you get that fancy new camera? Early graduation gift from my birth father.
Sweet! - See you home? - I gotta stop at school first, but yeah, I'll see you there.
