Yes!
Whoo! We're coming to save you!
..an alliance
Do you want to work with us?
..was formed.
There's an official alliance
with Skye and Jake, the Cowboys
and the Sikhs.
I don't know why they're all
helping each other.
They're each other's
biggest competition.
They help other teams
but they don't help us.
And when the Cowboys crossed
the line first
- First team to check in!
- Wha-hoo!
..they handed the Body Builders
the Salvage
Hopefully this helps youse out.
..leaving the Geek and Princess
..dark and stormy.
It hurts a lot.
Tonight
What a way to end the day.
..as the Cowboys take their feet off
the gas with the First-Class Pass
Hey-hey!
..the rest of the teams
put the pedal to the metal
Brisbane!
..in Brisbane, where the Salvage
Ooh, yeah!
..and Sabotage
..are revealed.
Oh, my God. I can't do that.
Then, in a tower of terror
- Five billion times.
- It's not right.
..one race favourite
One mistake and the Race
is quickly over for you.
..will be eliminated.
Your time on the Race is over.
This is Queensland's
stunning Sunshine Coast.
And it's from here
the seven racing teams
will begin the 15th leg
of The Amazing Race Australia.
"Make your way on foot
to Rick's Garage.
"Find the marked driver
and hitch a ride to Brisbane."
Cool. Let's go.
What's it called?
Rick's Garage.
Teams will now make their way
on foot to Rick's Garage.
This Sunshine Coast institution
is the watering hole and mechanic
for Queensland's
classic car collectors.
And one of these revheads will drive
our teams to their next destination.
All the teams have got to do
is find a driver
with a race flag
on the back of their hat
in order to hitch a ride.
Just there, flags.
We started the leg first.
Great start, we were excited,
we were pumped.
And we really wanted to win.
Excuse me, sorry.
Oh, my God.
We got there
and there's just a line-up
of the most amazing vintage cars.
We're looking for a marked driver.
Someone with a flag
on the back of their hat.
Where do we go in? Oh, God.
OK, front, front, front.
Go, go, go. Oh, here.
We hitch a ride. What do we do?
Are you guys by any chance
doing rides to Brisbane?
Thank you.
Oh, my God. How amazing is your car?
- Hey, mate. How are you?
- Good, mate. Good, mate.
Can you please take us
across to Musgrave Park?
- In Brisbane.
- Yep, 100%.
- Let's do it.
- Let's do it, buddy. Let's go.
This baby's sweet. Thank you.
- Oh, sick!
- Oh, hells, yeah.
Yeah!
Let's go!
The teams have begun
their classic car journey
from the Sunshine Coast to
Queensland's capital city, Brisbane.
European settlers originally
wanted to call Brisbane Edinglassie,
after Edinburgh and Glasgow.
And the heritage-listed Musgrave Park
is where teams will be taken
to find their next clue.
Looks like we're doing
a leg in Brisbane.
I really hope we have better
navigation than last time.
We've both grown up as very
competitive individuals,
both from sporting backgrounds.
Seeing us crawling on a 110km/h road
is making me a bit anxious.
You've definitely got to take
each leg as its individual leg
and just learn from the mistakes
you've made
and hopefully it works better
for you in the future.
We're starting to pick up speed now,
which is good.
Yeah.
"Make your way on foot
to Rick's Garage."
Rick's Garage.
There it is, babe.
- Huh?
- Just ahead, just ahead.
Are you our driver?
Oh, hello. Could you
- Are you our driver?
- Possibly.
- Would you like to drive us to Brisbane?
- Sure.
Beautiful. Thank you so much.
Wow.
Whoo!
This is so good.
Oh, my God. Oh, my God.
We started this leg with a Salvage
and it made us feel, like, relief.
I would love to have given youse
penalties, boys, but
- We already got one.
- We got one today.
Thank you, boys.
And we thought,
we're finally gonna come back
from the bottom of the pit.
"Salvage team,
you get a sherpa for the day."
- Yes!
- Yes!
Boo-yah!
"Sabotage team,
take the Salvage's team's backpacks.
"You must carry them all day."
Oh, my God.
I can't do that. I can't do that.
I'll carry both of them, baby.
The smallest two people in this race
had to carry the bags for the
biggest two people in this race.
It's ridiculous.
OK, let's just go. Come on.
I see flags.
- Guys. Aleisha.
- Yeah?
We've got to give you our backpacks.
I felt horrible that Chris
and Aleisha had to carry our bags.
Oh, what did you boys pack?
They're just so little.
We'll go this one, inside, baby.
Our backpacks were about 8 or 9 kilos.
I think theirs
were about 15 kilos each.
- Mm-hm.
- So, a lot of weight for us.
Yeah. Almost my body weight.
You our driver, mate?
Are you our driver?
Finding our driver
was a bit of a mission.
- Are you our driver?
- Is anyone a driver?
- Driver? Is anyone a driver?
- Is anyone a driver in here?
Come this way.
Where? That's the toilets, bro.
That's the toilets!
Why are you going to the toilets?
Is anyone a marked driver?
I think starting the leg
in last place,
you always try and be optimistic
about the day.
But it still lingers in the back
of your mind
that you're starting behind the pack.
Are you our driver?
Yes! Thank you.
Yes! Yeah!
Let's go.
I think Kate was sneaky.
She had her head down, I believe.
- I can't believe we didn't get you.
- Yes.
We definitely knew
we were in last place.
If we can make up for any lost time
somehow and get ahead, yeah,
that'd be awesome.
Brisbane! Who ever would have
thought that we would be
We'd be doing
The Amazing Race in our home city.
In our home city. In our local area.
We caught one!
I think it's Skye-Blue and Jake.
It's totally Skye-Blue and Jake.
OK, stay in this lane.
Don't follow them.
Oh, we're gonna past them.
Look how big he is in there.
He's so big in there.
- Hey, guys!
- Yes!
They're loving this.
Yeah, they are.
Pretty excited we just passed
Skye-Blue and Jake.
Yeah, let's try and lose them, hey?
- Yes, yes, yes. They went the wrong way.
- They went the wrong way.
I'm thinking that
the Kelvin Grove Road exit.
We don't go up and over
to go to Coronation Drive.
We go Countess.
OK, baby, maybe a little
bit of insider knowledge does help.
Yep.
It'll be just a couple of minutes
but it'll give us
that little bit of wiggle room
that we need.
There's a big accident
on the highway,
so I'm taking you on a short cut
to get you south of that accident.
Alright, perfect.
We finished sixth last leg
and our plan for this leg
was to finish in the top three.
MJ and I are competitors
and don't like losing,
so today was really about
trying to finish in first place.
Oh, yeah, there's flags. Beautiful.
And then left here, thanks.
I'll put one of the big boys's
on my back. Oh, it's massive.
Oh,
they do have protein powder in here.
Yeah, not loving the Cowboys
right now with that Sabotage.
That was that was a hard one.
We're still leading!
Oh, my gosh!
We're still leading! I'm so excited!
We left in second last place
and I think we got to Musgrave Park
in probably first place.
Yeah.
So, I think the local
knowledge definitely helped.
Yep.
OK.
Detour.
Cheery or Paniyiri.
A Detour is a choice between
two challenges,
each with its own pros and cons.
Now, the annual Paniyiri Festival
is the longest-running Greek festival
in Australian history
and it started back in 1976.
Our teams that choose Paniyiri
must come down here to the Greek Club
and meet my Greek friends
and learn a traditional Greek dance.
They'll learn the steps to the routine
before being allowed to perform it
with the dancers.
Now, once the judge
gives it the all-clear,
they'll receive their next clue.
- Opa!
- Opa!
One of the fastest growing sports
in this country
is competitive cheerleading,
with its unique blend of dancing,
tossing and stunting.
Now, teams that choose cheering
must come down here
and learn a gruelling
cheerleading routine
with my good friends,
the Brisbane All-Stars.
Now, if the head coach likes it,
they will receive their next clue.
If she doesn't, well,
they'd better get dancing.
- Alright. Do you want to watch?
- You're the dancer. Whatever you think.
- Let's do cheer. Let's do cheer.
- OK, let's do cheer.
OK, let's watch this demonstration.
Baby, I think we're
the girl in the pink shirt.
- I know.
- OK, good.
I realised how much
choreography was involved
and I just had to concentrate
on what I was doing.
Do you guys
want to put on a bow?
Yes, please.
Oh, my God. You're so cute.
And this is our team colour, so, yeah.
Alright,
so let's go from the beginning.
- Yeah.
- The beginning, yep, is that one.
You can do this. I'm so proud of you.
I felt a lot of pressure
because, you know,
everybody here knows that I dance
and there's that certain pressure to
perform it and actually do well
and be fast with the challenge.
He's not a dancer,
so I'm moving really fast.
- Hey, I know an eight count, alright?
- OK, OK.
I usually teach classes.
I teach girls their age,
so I was in the teacher mode.
So, make sure you dip on three
and go up on five.
One, two, three, four, five, six,
seven, eight.
Wait, one, two, down, three
You did take over the instructors
a little bit, hey?
The poor girls that were instructing
us were probably like, "Whoa.
"This girl's intense."
- Awesome. Thank you so much.
- Thank you so much.
Thanks, Jim.
We really, really appreciate it.
- Let's go. Let's leg it.
- Yep.
There's the flags.
Let's go, let's go.
Cheery or Paniyiri.
Alright, alright.
Paniyiri. We'll do Paniyiri.
- OK. Let's go.
- Let's go.
Sign is pointing right there.
- Paniyiri. OK, let's go.
- Let's go.
What do you reckon? Paniyiri.
Let's go.
Opa!
We were first into the detour
with Greek dancing
and we knew we had teams behind us.
- You go vest on.
- Thank you.
And you can do a belt as well.
I've never really experienced
Greek dancing
but I do like Greek food
and Greek people,
so I assumed that the dancing
would be cool too.
Right, left. Then we go forward.
- Right, left.
- Toe, step, pause.
OK, again.
We got an instructor straightaway.
However, it wasn't as easy
as we thought it would be.
Back, two, tap.
Tap, hop-tap. Tap. OK?
I think I go too fast. Let's go again.
We need to slow it down?
When the teams started to pile in,
it put the pressure on Dolor and I.
- One, two. Sorry, sorry.
- Please.
Babe, I'm trying. Don't say please.
- I forgot. Relax.
- It's gonna throw me off.
The dance was quite hard.
There was a lot of steps
with your feet.
Out, two. Heel, toe. Step, pause.
Let's just do that again.
Tap, tap, tap, tap. So, from the top.
Heel, toe, step, out.
Ahh!
That's alright. Keep going.
The choreography took a
yeah, a little bit
to sort of get the knack of.
It's the double leg that I stuffed up.
OK, so double. Double out
and then straight into one.
I am definitely not a dancer.
Like, very bad at dancing.
- One, two, tap, tap, tap.
- One, two.
Biggest tip we got from our
instructor was just to remember
it's, like, short steps.
- Small steps.
- Small steps.
It was just remembering
the different steps
because obviously it changed.
After the "opa!"
you have to change to the next step.
Opa.
- Thank you so much. I appreciate it.
- Well done.
Awesome, thank you.
If you can make up for any
lost time, Kate, without speeding,
that'd be awesome.
Last two legs, we've come last
in the last two.
But it was a non-elimination, so
we're really hanging on by a thread.
When you're contemplating elimination,
the drive was the longest drive ever.
And I couldn't wait to get there,
to be honest.
Looks like we're taking
the back roads around.
Not going down the main highway
because there's an accident.
- Oh, OK.
- This is the back road.
I hope this is the right way.
I've got to find out
where the accident is.
So the back roads that we took,
was that to get past the accident?
Yep.
Gonna look up
and see where the accident was.
He didn't know which direction
to go in.
We took those back roads to avoid the
highway and the highway was clear?
We are well, well back
of the pack already.
Yep.
At this stage, we were
in completely different route.
We didn't see a single team.
We had no idea.
Driver had no idea where he was going.
We well and truly knew that,
hey, we came into this leg first
and we were already in last position.
Let's go. Let's go.
Opa!
OK.
They didn't get it.
They didn't get it.
Let's go again.
Opa!
Keep practising. Tap, tap, tap.
Sorry.
No.
The judge was very particular
with the steps.
If the mistakes were obvious,
you were done.
Thank you.
Let's go, bro.
Clue, clue, clue, clue.
Detour - Cheery or Paniyiri.
The cheerleading's right here.
Let's do Cheery.
We decided that we were gonna do
cheerleading first.
We? You.
I ain't doing no cheerleading.
Five, six, seven, lift - one.
I was struggling, and I
really had no idea what I was doing.
Oh, this is the shoulder lift, babe.
Over here. Chris, here.
- Oh, sorry.
- OK. Let's start again.
- That's hard.
- That's really hard.
That's an extreme sport.
Wanna check out the Greek one?
It was too intense. I couldn't keep
track of the first few steps.
We don't know if that one's
hard either.
It's a Greek dance thing.
It's a couple of moves.
We swapped Detours
to My Fat Greek Wedding,
the Greek dance,
and everyone was there.
Is it hard? Is it hard?
Kind of, yeah.
Didn't expect the day
to start like this.
It'll be right.
So, when we were on the way
to this Detour,
we didn't see a single team,
driver had no idea where he was going.
There's people running.
There's teams there's teams there.
We'd left first, we got to this
Detour, pretty much last,
purely based on the drive,
and we need to climb up.
- Pull over, man.
- Anywhere you can pull over now, mate.
"Detour - Cherry or Paniyiri."
Let's go that way.
Step, jump, switch, back.
Back, two, step, tap-tap,
step, tap-tap.
Two, heel, toe.
That's OK. Thank you.
Step up and slam.
Really? OK.
- We'll try again.
- Thank you.
And leg up. And big leg!
- Yewwwww!
- Come on.
Yesss!
- Thank you. Thank you.
- Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
So, we came in fifth to that Detour
and we left in first place.
Go here!
Opa!
"Make your way to Subway's
Queen Street store
"for the ultimate Subway
Eat Fresh experience."
- Let's go.
- OK.
In this challenge,
teams will decide who is going to be
the sandwich builder,
and who'll be the taste tester.
The sandwich builder
will create a delicious sandwich
including 10 ingredients of
their choice.
While the taste tester
will be blindfolded
and has to guess all 10 sandwich
ingredients correctly,
before receiving their next clue.
OK, that Subway is Queen Street
store. Let's go.
- Whoo!
- Opa!
"Make your way to
Subway Queen Street."
- Alright, let's do it.
- Let's go.
One, two, three, four, up.
Down, clap, prepare, jump!
Slide out to side.
Three, four, five.
Good job, girls.
Thank you, thank you.
Thank you, guys. Thank you, girls.
"Make your way to Subway"
"..Queen Street store for the
ultimate Subway Eat Fresh experience."
- Alright, let's do it.
- I love Subway!
You let me know any time you need me
to take some weight, OK?
That's a lot of weight
you're carrying.
It was at least double the weight of
our own backpacks.
Gee, this backpack is super heavy.
What the hell did they pack, man?
That was one of the hardest Sabotages
that's been in the game so far.
- Mind if I hold your belt?
- Yes.
The traditional Greek
dancing didn't go as planned
or as expected.
We um sucked.
Opa!
I was doing it too fast,
and every time I'd try to slow
it down, I'd screw it up.
Tap, tap, right, and heel, toe.
Step, jump, bam, bam, step, tap, tap.
Heel, toe, step, pause,
bounce, bounce, bounce,
up and slam.
Opa!
Thank you so much.
Thank you, thank you.
"Make your way to Subway's
Queen Street Store
"for the ultimate Subway
Eat Fresh experience."
Alright, let's go.
So, you'll be taste tester
and I'll be the builder?
No, I was gonna say we can't do that
because I don't know stuff at Subway.
Huh?
You know and you can
taste stuff and be like,
"Oh, no, this is capsicum
or this is that."
I don't know what the hell
anything is.
- I build the sandwich
- And I taste it, there's a difference
10 ingredients? I have two
ingredients at Subway.
Yeah, but you know the names
of ingredients.
Do you understand what I'm saying?
No, I'm freaking out because I only
eat three things and you know that.
- I don't have the biggest palate.
- I don't know the OK.
Start off the top of your head, tell
me the names of ingredients at Subway
and I'll try and remember them.
- Tomato, capsicum I don't know.
- I don't know what capsicum tastes like.
Pardon? I don't know.
- All I have at Subway is my usual
- OK, we're trying to work it out here.
But I'm freaking out,
because I don't know.
I'll do the tasting,
but I don't know ingredients, babe.
- Jesus Christ.
- You eat more than I do.
Our day today, MJ.
Let's make it happen.
- Alright, which one is blindfolded?
- That's me.
After that Greek dancing
and then that run here,
I'm ready to eat.
I could eat, yeah,
a Subway Footlong for sure.
OK.
Anurag and I have danced
traditional Indian dancing,
Punjabi dancing, called bhangra.
And that's predominantly
about the feet and shoulders,
so if it was just feet,
we knew we could do it pretty well.
- Yeeeeeeesss!
- Come on!
Thank you. Thank you, thank you,
thank you, thank you, thank you.
Thanks, guys.
Yes. Thank you very much.
Thank you, guys.
Let's go that way.
Everyone had left.
But we said to ourselves,
"Stay positive, move forward,
and let's see what we can do."
I thrive under pressure,
I really do, I enjoy it.
This is a diamond formed
under pressure. I love pressure.
- Yeah?
- Yep.
- Thanks so much.
- Thank you.
We really need to nail this now.
Hup!
How did we go?
Ah. Let's try again.
This one's cheddar?
And lettuce?
And cucumber. Carrot. Jalapenos.
Tomato and chipotle sauce.
OK. Just on the meat?
It's a silent disco,
but it's just really silent
because there is no-one around me.
Can we just move a little bit?
No, we better leave, though.
Relax, relax.
- No, my leg will start
- I'm already here.
- But my I explained
- OK, sorry, sorry, sorry.
There was noises
and I was, like, "Ooh!"
There's, like, car doors slamming,
there's things happening.
And Holly and Dolor arrive first.
- Yeah, you.
- Yeah!
Where's my footlong at?
And so we had to finish it
as quickly as we can.
Hi.
I'm going to do steak, tomato.
Beautiful.
Six.
Yep. Yep.
Beauty.
Oh, that's quick.
Opa!
- How did we go?
- We got it. I think we got it.
- Yes!
- Yes.
Yes.
Thank you.
So, my favourite part
of the Greek challenge
..was
- Eating the food.
- Yes.
"Make your way
to Subway's Queen Street store
"for the ultimate
Subway Eat Fresh experience!"
- I love eating.
- Food! Let's go.
Let's find a cab. Where is one?
- Um
- Look it
We've got to find one.
We've got to find one.
- Yeah, just gotta find one.
- Let's go.
OK, MJ, hello.
I have not made you a Subway sandwich,
however, I do kind of know
what you did like in a sandwich.
So it made things a little easier.
Ooh, Chels, you are a sandwich artist.
Thank you very much.
I had to take at least one bite
and I had to guess all 10 ingredients
that were in the sandwich.
I'm ready.
White bread, cheddar cheese,
chicken, lettuce,
tomato, carrot, cucumber, olives,
jalapenos, and chipotle sauce.
- Correct.
- Yeah!
Yoo!
Hang on. That was really good.
- In first out first.
- Out first.
"Make your way to a riverside hotel
in Brisbane
"to receive your next clue."
In the next challenge,
all our teams will have to turn on
specific room lights
to collectively create
a giant smiley face.
To do this, each team will receive
their own unique map
of 14 marked rooms
and a book of key cards
to unlock and light their rooms.
The trick here
is teams first have to work out
the orientation of the map
and that each coloured square
is a room they have to light up.
It will take patience and stamina
to cover the 26 floors
and 100 rooms on foot.
Once each team has turned on all
the lights in their allocated rooms,
they'll receive their next clue.
- Alright, let's go.
- OK.
Here we go. Here's our cab, hey?
We might have thought we were down
and out the last couple of days,
but I think we did really well
to come out of that.
When we're staying
cool, calm and collected,
we work really well as a team.
Thank you, mate.
We are off to Eat Fresh Subway.
Subway, Eat Fresh.
- Now, who makes it and who eats it?
- What do you want to do?
Do you know all the ingredients?
I feel like you might
be better at eating.
I can give it a shot.
I don't necessarily
know OK, I'll give it a shot.
As in, like, with your palate.
I can do that.
It wasn't great being second last.
One more wrong move
and the Race is over for us.
This is a ridiculously heavy bag.
I actually saw a tub of protein.
Some Sabotages are OK.
Some aren't so good.
This one, we were Sherpas
for Stan and Wayne all day
and have to carry their bags.
I know exactly where it is.
I used to go here all the time.
OK, perfect.
- Oh, hello.
- Hi.
- Aleisha. Aleisha is blindfolded.
- Yep.
- Hey. Cool. Thank you.
- Thank you.
How's it going?
It's called the Chris Special,
by the way.
This is terrible.
I'm not getting a job here.
- I'm here.
- OK.
So I was doing the tasting.
The only problem is, I don't know
the names of certain food.
Like, what do you call
those ingredients?
- Vegetables.
- Yeah.
Chicken
Oh
Wait, let me start again.
Steak
I don't know what sauce that is.
Yeah, and
Yeah, I don't know.
Ah, I warned you, Holly.
Babe, you know flavours. I don't
know anything. This is really hard.
You need to believe in yourself.
You know all these flavours.
I only put in stuff
that you actually eat.
Let's go.
We arrived to the hotel in Brisbane.
Here is your next clue.
- Thank you very much.
- Thank you very much.
So we are going to the top.
And we had to catch the lift
to the top floor,
and then find the rooms
located on our map
and we had to put the key
in the light switch.
Let's write on it.
So we need to find the correct room,
then find the right key card for it.
So, do you think that's the lift
and to the left we had one
So, one. So, two.
- Three.
- Right.
- OK, so, hold this.
- Yep.
- We're just going to try all the keys.
- Alright.
No. I'm just gonna do
- 26.
- No.
Well, that didn't work on any of them.
Come on.
This is crap.
- Thank you.
- Thank you so much.
We've got to go inside first.
I think I'm going to ace
this sandwich.
Hey, guys. How you doing?
- So we're going to put some cheese on.
- Sure.
I've got spinach, tomato, carrot.
Did someone order the Chris special?
Someone order the Chris special?
- Chris special, please.
- Was that you over here?
We eat Subway at least once a week,
so we were stoked.
I can't taste any sauce.
That's weird.
I don't taste any sauce.
Literally I licked
the entire 6 inch, no sauce.
I gave you sauce.
Cucumber, Italian herbs bread.
Problem is when I order my Subways,
I usually have four, five
proteins on its own
with lettuce, cheese
and that's it, really.
Oh, Holly.
- Gonna be here for a long time.
- No, you're not. You know it.
I was on nine ingredients,
but I was struggling with finding
that last one.
I don't know the names of stuff.
Olive, carrot, tomato, spinach,
capsicum, tomato sauce, pickle.
- Correct.
- Yes! Yes!
Then I heard Aleisha go "pickles"
and I'm like,
"Oh, that's what it is. Pickles."
Lettuce onions, tomatoes,
carrots, pickles.
Correct.
Holly looked after me this challenge
and I got it on my third attempt.
Oh, I think you got it on your, like,
sixth attempt.
Come on, what are you just killing
the vibe for?
No, because No, no, because
they're going to put it up there.
You just always kill the vibe.
Spinach, onion, olives, tomato,
sweet chilli sauce.
- Correct.
- Yes!
Route info.
"Light up the night
to receive your next clue."
- Let's go.
- Beautiful.
Let's go.
That's so cool.
- That sounded pretty cool.
- So cool.
- Until we found out what we had to do.
- Oh, yeah.
"Use the elevator to take you
to the top floor,
"then you may only use the stairs
as you work your way down."
OK.
We still have to carry
Stan and Wayne's bags
down 26 flights of stairs.
- Can you see any cabs?
- I can't see one.
Here, cabbie, cabbie, cabbie.
It took us a while
to actually find a taxi.
Don't run.
- Why?
- Don't run. My legs are killing me.
Bro, we have to run.
- Wayne
- Mate, you're pissing me off. Run, man.
- Bro.
- We're in a race for quarter of a mil.
Yeah, but you're not working with me,
but. You're working against me.
It'll come up red.
If these are all red,
I feel like we're wrong.
Quick, babe.
Quick, quick, quick, quick.
Yeah, let's go.
Alright. This is it, Amanda.
I think I'm going to break my back.
I'm going to break my back too.
I think we count how many rooms.
Look, one Stop.
One, two, three, four, five, six,
seven, eight.
I hope this is the right room.
Oh, yes.
And then put that in the door.
So it's opposite.
We worked out the kind of code
pretty quickly.
My back is killing me already.
Yes. Good job.
- You get the grid or not?
- I'm trying to.
I've asked you five times.
You're not telling me.
Because I'm looking through.
What's wrong with you?
Well, should we do this or do you?
Keep doing that and I'll look at
the rooms and see what's possible.
Do you reckon we've got to try
all the keys?
So that's not right.
None of the cards worked.
What if they flipped it
so you're coming out of the elevator
and that's one, two, three that way?
Should I just try while I'm here?
Because that's
And MJ just said, "Hang on a second.
"How about we just
flip this upside down?"
You did it.
And that was the moment
where it actually worked.
OK, so light switch.
So it's opposite.
OK. Next one down.
- 18?
- Yeah, 18.
- What room?
- We're going first on the left.
First on the left. Yep.
Once we worked out to flip it around
and all the rooms were actually
just on the other side,
it was just a process of elimination
with those cards.
Great job. Good. Keep swiping.
You're elite at this. Well done.
- Yes, yes.
- Well done.
Yep. Let's go. What's the next floor?
Alright.
Jas, I'm coming for you.
This is your favourite.
Done? Perfect. Thank you.
Ready, Skye?
Although there's certain legs
that haven't gone in our favour
We have every intention
to be in that top three finale
and then every intention to come home
with that 250 as well.
Can I have a guess, please?
Bread, teriyaki chicken
Chilli sauce.
Jalapeno. Capsicum.
Carrot, tomato and cucumber.
- Correct.
- Oh, my God. Really?
And then I'm assuming
there's olives in here is the tenth.
- Correct.
- Come on! Thank you.
Alright. Let's go.
OK. Let's go.
The Amazing Race
is just a rollercoaster.
Sometimes you have a good day and
you get everything you think right
and then the other times,
you're at the bottom of the pack,
just fighting to stay alive.
Just chilling in the dirt.
Very close to all the other teams too.
Yeah.
OK, so if you want to go inside
and start building the sandwich.
Thank you.
Still behind, but we can do this.
I think you always have to,
you know, be ready for anything.
Here you go, Wayne.
Try that out, mate.
Our time in the Race has been really
hard and today is no different,
but we definitely
don't want to give up.
We won't give up and we need to push
so we don't come last.
Have a go. Have a go. We're in a rush.
Tomato, lettuce, cheese, ham,
mayo, onion, pickle.
That's so close. Come on. Finish it.
Guess a few. Guess a few, bro.
Just guess a couple.
Carrot.
We just went Greek dancing.
What else does Subway do?
What is it? Butter?
That one ingredient I couldn't get.
Just one more ingredient, bro.
One more. Have a shot.
I did start to get really frustrated,
because I knew that Wayne was so
close and I was keen to get moving.
Oh, what else is there?
Cookies?
Incorrect.
- Just one more ingredient, bro.
- Think we got one more?
You're so close. You're so, so close.
- Olive.
- Yes, correct.
- Yes!
- Yeah!
- Yes.
- Yes.
- Yes!
- You did it, boy!
"Make your way to a riverside
hotel in Brisbane
"and light up the night
to receive your next clue."
Let's go.
We should only have one more, babe.
Alright.
"Return to the lobby
and see the concierge."
- Are you OK, babe?
- Yep.
Chris did so well
carrying their backpacks.
Body-builder Chris.
- How are you going?
- I'm fine. Don't worry about me.
You're amazing, Chris.
- Same corridor.
- Yoo!
Let's go. Stair running, baby.
All the way down.
Let's go.
Do you want me to
take one of those bags?
- No, no, no, keep going.
- Yeah.
Please be a pit stop.
Please be a pit stop.
Don't slow me down. Come on, come on.
I'm not. I'm not.
Hey. Yeah, it's all done.
Thank you so much.
Yes!
"Make your way to the top
of the Story Bridge
"to find Beau at the pit stop.
"Hurry, the last team
may be eliminated."
One of the largest landmarks
in Brisbane
is the heritage-listed Story Bridge.
It took five years to build
and was first opened on 6 July 1940.
It is also the largest steel bridge
to be designed,
fabricated and constructed
in Australia by Australians.
And its 74m peak is the pit stop
for the 15th leg of the
Amazing Race Australia.
And one last thing - don't look down.
You in the middle.
Well done.
Thank you so much.
- Good rip.
- OK.
"Hurry, the last team to
arrive may be eliminated."
The top of the Story Bridge. OK.
Oh, yeah, can we please go to
the Story Bridge Adventure Climb
as fast as possible?
- Thank you, sir.
- Thank you.
Chris and I have been carrying
Stan and Wayne's bags all day
because of the Sabotage,
but we have not let it hold us back.
Perfect, babe.
Perfect.
Yeah.
Thank you.
How are you, guys?
So, we managed to get to the challenge
and we knew that if we didn't
complete the challenge, quick smart,
that, you know,
we could be going home.
That must be the
You know what it is?
We're making this way
Outside lights.
Can we go outside for a sec?
Come outside.
We figured out very quickly
that the map was a representation
of the building.
- Yeah, that's what it is. Cool.
- Yeah.
So, it's all the building
on this side.
- So, closest
- And that's what it's gonna represent.
- Look at the elevator.
- Yeah, come, come, come.
If it opens,
then we know it's correct.
Done.
Plug it plug it in.
Let's go down the stairs.
Where are the stairs?
Go, go, go.
Try that card first?
Let's just try 'em all, then.
We're at the back of the pack
at this point.
We were hoping to make up some ground.
We are not ready to go home yet.
No.
What the hell?
They can't all be wrong.
None of our keys were working
for the rooms
that we suspected they'd be.
Why are none of them working?
Nup. Nup. Nup.
- Nup.
- Try 'em again.
- I really don't get this.
- None of these guys are working.
Nothing.
Why are none of them working?
- Hey, guys.
- Hey, guys.
Our final challenge was Lights On.
Incredible pressure.
- You sure it's this door?
- I think it's this one.
OK, have another look.
- Oh, my gosh.
- Oh, my gosh, I'm excited.
This is brilliant. This is great!
You know what, baby?
Anything can happen.
- Like, we can't rest on our laurels.
- I know. I know.
Story Bridge Adventure
Climb. Yep. Brilliant.
Yep.
Oh, there's the bridge there.
Awesome. We're so close.
There's the Story Bridge.
- Our bags.
- Here we go.
Oh, I'm so excited.
Let's go.
We've had some legs
that were really challenging
but we're more than capable
of being able to turn it around.
Keep going.
We just have to believe in
each other and stay positive.
Come on.
And the key is we never give up.
- You've made it to Brisbane!
- Hey!
Girls
..before I start,
I want to acknowledge
the traditional owners of our land,
who are
You are on Yuggera Turrbal country,
which extends from the Logan River
to the south of the Brisbane River
up to Pine River, which is to
the north of the Brisbane River.
Thank you for having us.
MJ and Chelsea,
you are the first team
..to check in.
- Yoo!
- Big bounce-back from you girls.
We just said, "Let's just try
to do our best to make top three,"
and oh, we smashed it today and
- Yeah.
- Yeah.
It was just an awesome effort.
Great team effort today.
- I've also got a prize for you girls.
- Oh, my God.
You've won an all-expenses-paid trip
on The Ghan,
but this time, you get to enjoy it
in your time.
- Ooh!
- With big thanks to Journey Beyond.
- Thank you so much for that.
- And it's good to see you smiling.
The last couple of legs weren't good
and we knew that
and so we just
we knew we were better than that,
so today today's a good day.
The Race is so unpredictable
and anything can change,
any given day.
So, I mean, we're proof.
We were sixth yesterday and we're
sitting here at number one now.
So, we've just got to
take it as it comes.
Good job. Say hello to Bowie.
Appreciate it. Thanks so much, Bowie.
- Thanks, guys.
- She recognised you straightaway.
- Oh, really?
- Oh, really? Do you play?
Yes.
- Oh! It's a very small world!
- Yeah, it's my show but, um
Alright, stand back, you girls.
- Brisbane!
- Team Brisbane.
Team Brisbane!
Chris and Aleisha, you are
the second team to check in.
- Yes!
- Monster effort.
We're back.
Well, you guys surprised me
and you should be very proud.
OK, let's go.
Let's go, let's go.
Alright, 17 now. Go, here.
Go, go, go! Yeah, good work.
That's 1406.
1406, come on.
Right, let's go.
Let's go.
- That's it, that's it.
- I know, I know, I know. OK.
- That's it.
- That's it.
- Thank you.
- Thank you, mate.
Beautiful. Thank you so much.
- Thank you.
- Thank you. Let's go.
"Make your way to the top of
the Story Bridge
"to find Beau at the pit stop.
"Hurry. Last team to arrive
may be eliminated." Let's go.
- Let's go, let's go.
- Let's go.
Yes!
We, relatively quickly,
figured out the grid.
Let's just go here.
And it was uplifting 'cause we'd
been at the back of the pack all day
and it's finally a chance
to maybe stay on the race.
We're nearly there, bro.
- What are we on? 21?
- Mm-hm.
Try 12.
I reckon this is in reverse.
It did take us a few floors
to work out the process
of using the keys
because the grid
was actually back-to-front.
Let's go.
Do you want to try this 26 again?
So, we made our way
through several floors
before we sort of worked out a way,
so we had to go back up
and start again.
Good.
Back down.
We knew there was a potential
that we were in last place.
It isn't a great position to be in
'cause one mistake and the Race
is quickly over for you.
Yep.
- Keep going, keep going. Seven.
- What level?
Keep going. Don't stop.
It's here. It's here.
- I see it!
- I see it too.
OK. Whoo!
We literally had to scale
the Story Bridge and meet Beau,
which was I think
the most epic pit stop we've had
for the entire Amazing Race.
Great job.
Come on! Come on.
- Come on, Ash.
- Come on, bro.
Jaskirat and Anurag,
you are the third team to check in.
- Well done, bro. Well done.
- We'll take it.
It was a roller-coaster
going from first down to last
and then slowly
working our way back up.
The fact that we could still make up
three or four spots,
I think we did pretty well.
- Well done.
- Well done, man.
Go and recover and I'll see you
next time. Good stuff.
Thank you, mate. Thank you.
Holly and Dolor,
you are the fourth team to check in.
- Beautiful.
- Thank you.
I think I did really well today.
I wanted to just spread
positive vibes.
Holly likes to kill the vibe
but I want to not do that.
I just want to keep it positive,
think about the things that can go
well, and eventually we'll do well.
Not true.
Terrific effort. Now go and recover.
Thank you.
Whoo! Good stuff. Let's do this.
Ashleigh and Amanda,
you are the fifth team to check in.
Terrific effort. Great to see you,
and I'll see you again very soon.
Go chill out.
Nice one. Go, go, go, go.
Keep going. Keep going. Good cardio.
Nice one. Nice one.
Go back out. Go, go, go.
We finally finish.
Now we absolutely have to smash
the last bit of the Race
to avoid elimination.
- 1512 done.
- Uh-huh.
Cool.
- That's done.
- That's it. That's it.
So we have to use the stairs.
Come on, let's go. Good job.
Don't stop.
All done.
- That's your next
- Yes!
Thanks, mate. All the best. Let's go.
See the concierge.
Thank you very much.
"Hurry! The last team to
arrive may be eliminated."
Let's go.
Let's go.
We're headed to
the Story Bridge Adventure Climb.
Story Bridge. You go first.
$250,000 winning prize money
would change my life for sure.
Yeah, I've just had my first son
and it'd definitely help me, him,
and my wife.
I'm just nervous.
We didn't see anyone else
running in there.
That's OK.
We're definitely not ready to go home.
I've been told my entire life
that "You can't do this,"
"You can't do that."
Getting the opportunity
to actually show people
that, well, yes, I can,
just a really, really
remarkable thing, I think.
We got this.
Proud of you.
- Let's go.
- I'm coming.
You got this. Keep going. Good job.
There's so much more fight left in us.
I don't like losing and we'll do
whatever it takes to win the game.
Skye-Blue and Jake,
you are the sixth team to check in.
Sweet as. Thank you. That's OK.
That's alright.
Ideally, we would like to be first
but as long as you're not last
at this stage, it doesn't matter.
'Cause every leg is its own
individual challenge.
As long as we're not last,
we're happy.
But you're still in the Race,
and you're smiling, so good on you.
I'll see you again very soon.
- Thanks.
- Good job!
Go and chill out. Watch the stairs,
watch the 80-metre fall.
Thank you.
It's an amazing experience doing
The Amazing Race that money can't buy.
It's an unforgettable moment.
My favourite leg was today.
Loved the Greek dancing
and loved climbing the bridge.
Beautiful colours are out, full moon.
And the city was
absolutely beautiful.
Yeah. It was a brilliant day.
Stan and Wayne,
you are the last team to check in.
Unfortunately, you are eliminated
and your time on the Race is over.
- Good run, mate.
- Gave it all.
Yeah. Tried our best.
But you guys can hold your heads high.
Or your biceps.
You've learnt a lot about each other?
Are you proud of each other?
- Definitely proud of Stan.
- Yeah, proud of you, buddy.
- You're amazing. You're a warrior.
- Thanks, mate.
Thank you.
From the Amazing Race
- It was so cool.
- Yeah.
..we got to fly in a helicopter
and jump off the edge of a cliff
like Tom Cruise.
Boom!
I love a challenge
and I love competing.
I was just excited to enjoy the Race
and so grateful for the experience.
See you, boys.
Next time on the Amazing Race
Australia
..our teams arrive
in Van Diemen's Land.
We've never been to Tasmania.
This is awesome!
And the race to the finish is on.
I've been looking for a
Roadblock that's physically challenging.
Today is my day.
This challenge was seriously tough.
- Who will make the finals?
- Whoo!
See you later!
Oh, yeah. I also get nude.
! That's cold!
Whoa!
