The Amazing Race Australia (2011) s05e22 Episode Script
Season 5, Episode 22
Previously on
The Amazing Race Australia
Three, two, one, go!
..the greatest adventure on
Earth began in Queensland
Literally have never done
anything like this in my life.
..and travelled up and down
this great land
Oh, this is so badass!
..the most extreme on the planet.
Tough, like, really tough.
Not just physically, but mentally.
And in the toughest race ever seen
It just kept getting harder
and harder and harder.
..four teams emerged as
the toughest teams ever seen.
Oh, my God!
Tonight
I'm, like, nervous today.
Because it's crunch time.
..our final four head
to Broken Hill
This is going to be cool,
this is going to be epic.
..home of Priscilla,
Queen of the Desert
I thought it was a sheila.
Whoa!
..and fight for their spot
This is so frustrating!
..in the finale.
Any mistake was going to cost you.
And in the toughest
eating challenge ever seen
Just drink it, don't spew in it.
Don't, don't, don't even do it.
..one team will fall
at the final hurdle.
You are the last team to check in,
and you're eliminated.
It's early morning,
and our final four are
waking up in Dubbo,
named by the first settler
in honour of the local Wiradjuri word
for 'red earth'.
It's from here
that our teams will depart
in the order in which they finished
their last leg.
"Fly to the Silver City, Broken Hill."
"Once there, make your way
to the Big Heel in the Palace Hotel
"for your next instructions."
- Bye!
- Let's go.
Sweet. Broken Hill.
Our four remaining teams
are travelling from Dubbo
to the frontier mining town
of Broken Hill.
Often referred to
as the unofficial capital
of the New South Wales outback,
it was made even more famous
in its 1994 appearance
in the box-office smash,
and one of my favourite movies,
The Adventures Of Priscilla,
Queen Of The Desert.
And it's just about to host
the 22nd leg
of The Amazing Race Australia.
And let me tell you, she's windy.
Go, go, go!
Take a taxi to the airport.
- We need to go to the airport.
- To the airport, please.
Would you mind calling me a taxi?
That would be amazing.
Yeah, it'd be tough
to get a cab in Dubbo.
- Yeah, I thought it would have been.
- I did too.
We're top four now,
we need to get into the top three.
We're coming up to the finale.
We're taking every challenge
at a time.
We will do whatever it takes to win.
We're doing it for our family,
doing it for our kids.
Man, this is tough.
- This could well be an elimination.
- Yeah.
We have to - have to -
finish first this leg.
Anurag, top four so far.
We've got this. We've got this.
Hustle, hustle, every second.
We have to give it all, we're going
to put our bodies on the line.
It's all-in, baby.
That's what it's all about now.
Taxi!
Last leg, we had a rough one,
with a U-turn.
Alright, we're still in the race.
This morning,
we're aiming for first place.
We're all here to win.
This means so much to us,
we're not just going to give up.
The race is always so stressful.
We can go from first to last
like that.
The Sikhs got in a maxi really quick.
- Yep.
- I don't know if the Cowboys got one.
We said early on
the final three were going to be us,
the Cowboys, and Jas and Anurag.
So we are sticking with them
in our alliance.
Especially with how close we are
to the final.
I hope the Cowboys got a cab.
Where is this bloody taxi?
Apparently, there was only
four taxis working in Dubbo today.
Three of them were out on route,
one of them was on smoko.
Never missed a flight before,
but today could be the first day.
- Here we go, here's one.
- Oh, we're on.
No, we're not.
Yes, we are.
Finally.
Go, go, go!
Our teams will all travel
on the same 800km flight
from Dubbo to Broken Hill,
an old mining town named
after the world's largest
lead and zinc deposits
rising from the ground.
Once there, they will make their way
to the Palace Hotel,
spiritual home of Priscilla,
Queen of the Desert,
and find the Big Heel
to pick up their next clue.
Let's go.
Hey, mate, how are you?
To the Palace Hotel.
Keep it going!
The Palace Hotel, yeah.
The fastest way.
You just never know
with all these challenges
- what's going on.
- Anything can happen. Yeah.
I'm nervous today
because it's crunch time.
But, yeah, we definitely just want
to be in the top three.
For sure.
Go, go, go!
When we landed in Broken Hill
we were the fourth team to leave,
so, we were at the back of the pack.
How you going? Palace Hotel.
Hopefully we're going to get some
real physical challenges.
At least the only positive thing
about starting at the back
of the pack is we can only go up.
Yeah, exactly right.
Round the front?
Yeah, round the front. Round
the front. Keep an eye out.
Heel. That's the heel.
"Step one. Get ready to Break Bad."
Many of Broken Hill's streets are
named after elements and compounds,
which are the lifeblood to
the town's mining industry.
For this challenge, our teams
must follow clues to find
four street intersections
which feature the names
of different compounds.
At each intersection they must
pick up equipment or a chemical,
before making their way to
the mad scientist
to conduct an experiment.
Then, they'll receive their next clue.
"Travel on foot to the corner of Sulphide
and Blende Streets to get started."
OK, cool.
Find Blende Street.
Blende. Oh, OK.
- If we go out that way. - Yeah, out
that way. - It's two blocks. Two blocks.
Good, good, good, good.
- The next one is
- This one should be Blende.
Blende, yeah.
Signs and directions and trying
to find places, oh, this is ours.
Mate, we've got this.
It says we will get safety equipment.
We have to wear it
the whole way through.
- Thank you so much.
- Thank you.
- Oh, here.
- Oh, found it.
"Travel on foot to the corner of Sulphide
and Blende Street to get started."
Sulphide and Blende Street. Let's go.
There. Safety equipment.
Hey, there. We want to get
some equipment, safety gear.
- OK. - Put your stuff on.
- We've got to put this on right now?
Yes, you need to
put it on at all times.
There's overalls
and there's gloves in it
there's lab glasses in there.
Are we doing some sort
of chemistry experiment?
This is going to be cool.
This is going to be epic.
"Using your knowledge of science,
find the intersection of Co
"and Cl-to find your next equipment."
Cobalt. D5.
Anurag, especially being an engineer,
knows exactly what chemicals are what.
What am I looking for now?
Chloride.
Follow my thumb. Follow my thumb.
Cobalt comes across here and into
Chloride. On the other side of the
park. Is there any teams coming?
- The girls are coming.
- Go, go, go, go.
We are not telling
anyone what the signs are.
Yes, I know. They're running this way.
They are coming this way.
They're running here.
We built up a pretty strong alliance
with the Cowboys and Amanda and Ashleigh.
However, we are going to have
to be more strategic now.
Let's go. We're here to win 250K.
We've got to go across the park.
Hello. Can we please
have the safety gear?
Ready? OK.
So, we're dressed to impress
Thank you.
..and I have a fairly OK knowledge
of the periodic table,
and I did chemistry 1 and 2 at uni.
- I got it, I got it.
- Alright. Go, go, go.
Our first step is to go to Cobalt
and Chloride at intersecting streets.
Almost there.
There it is.
"Step one. Get ready to Break Bad."
- Whoo-hoo!
- Yes!
I am a bit of a nerd,
so we know we've got this one.
"Travel to the corner of
Sulphide and Blende Street."
Blende is this one here.
OK, which way, baby?
This way.
I think we can always read maps.
I can always read maps.
Never get lost.
Sulphide and Blende Street.
Do you know where it is?
Yeah.
I can read them.
I don't know where we are on them.
I see the metro. I know where we are.
So this is the corner
of Bromide and Argent.
Excuse me, excuse me.
Could you just point where exactly we
are on the map right at this very moment?
OK.
- Where you are
- Yeah.
Just as quick as you can.
- OK, amazing. Thank you so much. Got it.
- OK.
Thank you, thank you.
OK, so we need to go this way.
Yeah, let's go.
Big heel.
"Step one. Get ready to Break Bad.
"Travel on foot to the corner of Sulphide
and Blende Streets to get started."
Let's go.
- Can you read it when we're jogging?
- Yeah.
Chris and Aleisha
were running up the road.
So we kind of just followed
them, really, didn't we?
Yeah.
- Oh, the Cowboys are already here.
- Aleisha, should we keep going up?
Or go across there?
Alright, let's cross. The
Cowboys are right there.
- Should we cross here?
- I already said yes!
- Answer my question, OK?
- I said it three times yes!
- That's Blende.
- Yeah.
We're here, right?
Where are we trying to go?
No, we're here.
Well, I pointed that to you before,
and you said no.
- Yeah, I've got Blende Street.
- How far is it?
So, Crystal
It'll be the next one over.
- The next one over?
- Yeah.
They're just going to follow us,
'cause they're not very
good at maps, you know?
Yeah.
Excuse me, mate.
We've got to get to Sulphide Street.
- Is it? Thanks, mate.
- You're a legend. Thank you.
It was only around the corner,
so Chris and Aleisha,
they didn't hear it,
so we went the other direction.
- How you going?
- How are ya?
- Thank you very much.
- Do it out here?
Yeah, we've got the jump
on Chris and Aleisha.
They're down there somewhere.
If that's Chloride,
Cobalt is going to be
halfway through the park.
So we find
the next intersection
- Yeah.
- Perfect.
Hey, mate. How are you?
Can we have
some potassium iodide, please?
..and we get the first chemical.
Thank you.
"Taking your equipment, make
your way to the intersection of Co"
Cobalt.
"..and S2-."
OK. S2 would be Sulphide.
Through Cobalt Street,
across the other side of the park.
OK, got you.
As we were progressing
through the stations,
we're starting to find out,
"Oh, hold on,
"I'm picking up something
from this station. I'm
picking up another
chemical at this station."
- Co and S2?
- Yeah.
This is all going to come together
at some point.
Can we get some hydrogen peroxide,
please?
- Do we have a clue?
- Thank you.
"Continuing carefully
with your equipment in your hand"
"..find the intersection
of Br- and Co.
Oh, Bromide and Cobalt.
Cobalt.
Alright, that's fine.
Let's cross over.
- Let's go this way.
- Across here.
But the most important thing was,
we couldn't drop anything.
Keep it going!
Can we please get some
hydrogen peroxide?
- Thank you.
- Thank you.
It's 36 degrees in Broken Hill
today. It is sweltering.
Br is either beryllium, boron
or b Um
Br Bromide, bromide.
I'm carrying the hydrogen peroxide
and the little potassium iodide
and not spilling it,
and trying not to drop it.
Hold it tight, yeah?
That's clue number four, yeah?
We have to take
colour detergent, so
Take these and find
the mad scientist at the Big Ant.
- At the Big And?
- Ant.
Alright, let's go.
You're going real fast
for me.
Which one do you think
Sulphur is? This one?
Yeah. No.
Oh, there it is.
- Yeah.
- Have we gone too far, then?
Can't find Bromide. Sulphide. Oh!
We've definitely gone too far. Argh!
Aleisha, when I pointed and
said "We're here," you ignored me.
No, I didn't ignore you, baby.
I didn't see.
You were running. It was hard to see.
Hey, look at me!
It's got to be in that park.
The Big Ant.
Stop. I want to see
if we can see anything.
See that table?
There's two tables there.
Yeah.
Mad scientist!
- How are you, mate?
- How you doing?
Find a table
and mix the ingredients.
Slowly.
We were thinking,
"OK, maybe the colour will change."
Nah.
OK, mix this one slowly
and pour this one quickly
and take a step back.
OK, quickly pour that one.
Whoa!
That was pretty cool!
Boom!
It just exploded out of the beaker
and just went everywhere.
But the best thing is it all landed
on the mad scientist.
- Thank you.
- Thank you, thank you, thank you.
- Road Block.
- "Who's watching their weight?"
A Road Block is a challenge that
only one team member must choose
to complete, based on a cryptic clue.
Our teams must head to the outskirts
of town and find Junction Mine.
In this challenge,
one team member must shovel grit
and attempt to balance out a seesaw,
get it level with their teammate
on the other end.
It's all about precision.
Let me tell you,
it's all about balance.
Once the seesaw is perfectly level
..they'll receive their next clue.
- Do you want to do it? Yeah, let's go.
- I'll do it.
So, by this point
we knew we were first.
Go.
We could see Chris and Aleisha
still around the bend,
trying to figure out step one.
- Car.
- No, nothing to do with cars.
We need to go to the corner, baby.
Are we supposed
to go that way?
Find a table
and mix the ingredients.
- Thank you. Thank you so much.
- Thank you.
- Road Block!
- Road Block!
"Who's watching their weight?"
I can do it. I'll do it.
- Let's go.
- Awesome.
Cobalt. Cl.
What's the element
that starts with Cl?
Oh, I don't know.
"Yeah, like we'd tell you, boys."
- Co and Cl. Cobalt? Yeah.
- Do you think it's cobalt?
What's that? Chloride.
So we need to go to there.
- Sure?
- Yeah.
- 100%?
- Yes, let's go.
- Over here. Over here!
- Huh?
G'day, mate.
We'll take potassium iodide.
Have you got a clue for us?
Let's go.
"Make your way to the
intersection of Co and S2."
Hey. Hey!
- Hey!
- Yeah, I hear you!
Can you carry my backpack, please?
OK, look. Look up. Look up.
Oh, my gosh. Finally.
Hello. Have you got
any protection gear for us?
- Yes, I do.
- Yes. Thanks.
Jesus.
- Thank you so much.
- The blind leading the blind.
- Silly mistake.
- Yeah.
We could be eliminated because
we make a silly mistake like that.
100%.
- Do you have a clue for us as well?
- Yes, I do.
- Thank you very much.
- There you go, guys.
OK, we've got that map.
Let's figure it out here.
Cobalt, Cobalt. It'll be Cobalt.
- And then Chloride.
- This way.
I reckon we head to that thing.
- This way, then.
- Either way.
- We can go either way.
- No.
- Yes, yes!
- But why would we go that way, then?
- OK.
- Because this is Cobalt.
Alright! I'm shutting up now,
because everything I say is wrong.
So, we need to find
this place.
- What's it called?
- Junction Mine.
We got our next clue,
and it's a Road Block.
We need to ask someone.
I'm going to reverse back
and go to the workshop.
We're in the lead,
so we had a lot of pressure on us.
Hey, mate.
We're just looking for Junction Mine.
Two legs to go. We want to be
first, and I know we can do it.
- So, just in there, right?
- Thanks, guys.
Thank you.
It definitely
said Junction Mine.
Yeah, it's on the other side
of the railway track.
- How much do you weigh? Oh.
- 64 kilos.
This Road Block instructed us
to head to Junction Mine.
Our goal the whole time
was we just wanted to
make the final three
and never get eliminated.
You'll be able to smash
this out really quickly, I reckon.
Perfect.
- Junction Mine!
- Yes, yes.
Go, go.
- None of the other teams are there.
- Yes!
Alright, do you want
to have a look at this?
Yeah.
"Sit in the barrel
at the end of the seesaw."
We have to make a seesaw balance.
Yeah, so you're sitting on that side.
But the twist here is
I have to use a wheelbarrow
and pile it up with gravel and dirt
and fill up a drum to try and match
Ashleigh's weight while she's
sitting on the other end of the seesaw.
"You must walk along the seesaw
to deposit your grit."
Are you going to take that on there?
I feel like you're just
supposed to walk alone.
- It says walk along the seesaw.
- Yeah.
It doesn't say to bring
the wheelbarrow up there.
Obviously, I'm not allowed to help.
But I'm thinking, "This is not right.
"This is extremely wrong."
"Walk along that
seesaw to deposit your grit."
Yeah.
If I can get this up there,
it will be much quicker.
OK.
Do you not think that's a good idea?
I will try one more time.
That's not working.
Ashleigh's eyes were saying
a lot of things.
But it's not easy to lift a wheelbarrow
onto a seesaw!
You were like,
"What the hell are you doing?"
Now you've got the idea.
Finally!
- Where's that park?
- Next street.
- Is it?
- Yeah.
How you going?
We need some colour detergent.
- Yeah.
- Great, I'll give it to Brendon.
- You alright, Bren?
- I can't run with it, dude.
- I'm spilling it all.
- Alright.
Oh, I hate running.
Are you sure S2 is Sulphide?
Baby, I've already said
I think it's S2.
I can't run any more.
- OK, you'll have to do the best you can.
- I'm sorry.
- We're a long way behind. Can you jog?
- I'm really tired!
I know you are. Can you jog?
We knew we were in fourth place
at that point
This is Sulphide. Where's Cobalt?
..because we went the wrong way
Back that way?
..and now we know
we have to play catch up.
Yeah, she's there, baby. See?
And I think that's stressing us
out even more.
I can't run anymore.
You're not listening.
What do you want me to do? Carry you?
Just walk.
Hello. Hydrogen peroxide, please.
- Thank you very much.
- Thanks, guys.
Yes, girl! OK, get
those rocks. They're nice and heavy.
Yeah.
To empty the first load
of the wheelbarrow
was probably about 15 laps
up and down this seesaw
Yes, girl.
..in the scorching heat, in this
windstorm with all the dirt in it.
It's a little bit windy.
Don't worry, Amanda!
You're doing really well.
Let's go.
Perfect. You're heavier, I'm
lighter. This couldn't be more perfect.
Whoo!
Argh!
- You're doing so well.
- Why isn't it even lifting?
Oh, my God. Have I put too much?
No, no, no. You haven't.
Yeah, I have.
Why would you be in the air?
Oh, shit.
I didn't notice that
I'd overfilled the barrel,
and it was now heavier
than Ashleigh's weight.
Amanda, keep checking.
Keep going, bro.
Yeah, I noticed what the girls did.
They put too much
and now they've got to reverse it.
Amanda, check.
Amanda was taking out
massive shovels at a time,
and I'm thinking
she just needed to calm down
and she needed to check
in between each scoop.
This is so annoying.
You've got this, Anurag!
Well done, bro!
That's it! Good work.
Bro, they're still
trying to sort it out.
Amanda, check.
This is so frustrating!
- That's the Big Ant.
- It is, too.
- Found him.
- Good job.
- G'day, mate. Yes.
- Gentlemen.
- Find any unused table.
- Yeah.
Mix the ingredients.
So, go over there and pour all
your things in the test tube.
Slowly with this one.
Slowly?
I'll put in there.
Put it in quickly and stand back.
- She took off, didn't she? Mate!
- Oh, mate.
It was going!
It looked like me after eight weeks.
Happy days.
Thank you very much.
Beautiful. Road Block.
- "Who's watching their weight?" Yeah.
- I'll do it.
Oh, baby, I feel so sick!
I know you do.
No, but it's like that vomit time,
OK? It's that bad.
- OK.
- Ugh!
What do you want to do? Give up?
No, I just want to walk.
I've told you three times.
OK.
- Are we going the right way?
- Yeah.
- It's definitely this way?
- Oh, my God. I'm so over you!
OK, can you not yell at me?
There it is.
Right, find a table
and mix the ingredients.
Work quickly and stand back.
Whoo-hoo!
- Thank you so much. - Your next clue.
- Thank you very much.
OK, Road Block.
"Who's watching their weight?"
- I'll do this one.
- Up to you.
- Let's go.
- OK.
You've got to check.
Come on, Anurag! Good work!
That's it!
What the hell?
The problem is
- Is this too light or too heavy?
- Too heavy.
..this grit has
some really big rocks in it,
and then some fine sand.
So each shovel-full
is such a different weight.
Check.
Yeah, take it off. Thank you.
- This is so annoying.
- You're killing it, Amanda.
So, where are you
thinking it might be?
Well, there's a thing called
Junction Crescent
and there's a mine there.
What's this to our right here, mate?
- Yeah, that's
- What's it called?
Oh, hang on you
might be able to get to it
What's this?
- Are we on Eyre Street?
- Uh, couldn't tell you.
- Turn around.
- Turn around, you reckon?
- Are we far There's Comstock Street.
- Eyre Street.
- Turn around, yeah, turn around.
- Ah.
Sorry, bro.
Um, at the moment we've still got
the lead on Chris and Aleisha,
so we've just got to try and get
in and get this challenge done.
Find the bloody thing first.
- Nothing on your map?
- No.
One thing goes wrong,
and we keep, like,
spiralling down into this, like,
frustration with each other.
And it's pretty hard for us
to get out of these bad moods.
But the pressure is just like
- We snapped out of it.
- Yeah, we did, we snapped out of it.
So now we're snapped out of
a bad mood, we can do anything!
OK, which way?
So, keep going to the end of this
road. So, go back to the right.
- Go right?
- Yes, right.
- OK, we came from the left.
- Uh-huh. Go right.
I'm glad this is Road Block.
It wasn't about
just putting up the barrel.
You had to make sure the weight
was perfectly balanced.
And that was the hard part.
Check, please.
Aw!
- You're nearly there, bro.
- Killing it!
Could you please check?
Whoo!
- Thank you.
- Thank you. Thanks so much.
"Drive to Silverton
and find the John Dynon Gallery
"and count the wheels on all
the pushbikes
"to receive your next clue."
Teams must make the 20-kilometre drive
to the outback mining town
of Silverton,
made famous for its silver rush
in the 1800s
and for providing
the backdrop to Mad Max 2.
Once here, teams must find the gallery
of famous outback artist John Dynon.
They must then count the wheels on all
of the gallery's pushbikes and tricycles.
When they hit the right tally
of 107 wheels,
they'll receive their next clue.
Whoo! We're in first for once!
And your direction skills today
are so good.
Thank you, I'm trying so hard.
Yes!
They won't be
far behind us though, hey?
I know.
We got to the Road Block
in third place.
We know we need a classic
Chris and Aleisha comeback here.
That's grit. You've got to collect it.
So where is he going to collect it?
Boys, where do you get
your grits from?
- All around you.
- OK. - Anywhere you want.
Anywhere you want.
Check up here, babe.
Coming into the pointy end
of the race now.
Oh, Aleisha, I think
it just means anything, right?
- No.
- Good work, bro.
We will not misguide.
We will also not guide.
- Oh, so it's just dirt from anywhere.
- Yeah.
Do you think it could be up here?
Aleisha, you've got to go
and sit on there.
It says, "Once you sit"
Aleisha, just go sit on there.
- This is my Road Block.
- Alright.
There's grits
you've got to collect.
Boys, where do get your grits from?
- All around you.
- OK. - Anywhere you want, bro.
Anywhere you want.
- Check up here, babe.
- Push, push, push.
Push, this is our chance.
Oh, it's over there, baby.
Right, they're still
trying to sort it out.
You've got this, bro. Well done.
I had to fill that wheelbarrow
with piles of grit.
Aleisha had to jump on one end
of the seesaw and I had to fill up
the other end of the seesaw
so they would balance out.
Whoo!
Yeah, we know we're last.
Yeah, this is not what we needed.
- That's Junction Mine just here, bro.
- Beautiful.
Ooh, screechy!
Let's go.
Alright, the cowboys are here.
I'm not that heavy,
so you just move really fast.
You can get this.
Whoo!
Great challenge for us
because, out of all the teams,
Aleisha is definitely
the lightest one.
Argh!
I'm little!
You're doing real good.
I knew I wouldn't have to shovel
as much dirt
as some of the other teams.
Ah! Not much more, baby.
Good job, bro. You're going good.
I knew Brendon was tougher
than the rest of them.
I knew he could get it done quick.
Anurag and Jas were there.
Amanda and Ashleigh had just left. I
thought, "We're not that far behind.
"This is our chance to make
some time up." Good job, bro.
It's sort of like a bucking bronco.
Give me a ride, brother!
Give me a ride!
Let's go!
Ow!
Hey, Bren!
Too much weight on it!
I told you I've lost some weight.
Take some out?
I think so. I haven't moved.
Look at what Anurag and Jas have
been doing. We've got to get it level.
- Any way to get it level.
- Push it down the outside. Light touch.
Being out in the middle
of the desert, 35-degree heat,
beating down sun,
and there's 45km winds,
there's dust flying everywhere,
it was tough.
Check, please.
No.
Bit less, bro. A tiny bit less.
You've got this, bro.
You got this. Come on.
"Count only the wheels
within the marked area.
"A wheel must have spokes and rim.
"Bicycle and tricycle wheels only."
There were a lot
of bikes in this yard
and a lot of them were broken
and some of them didn't have wheels.
Ooh, it's windy.
Alright. Let's start counting.
Five, six, seven
Oh, this is getting confusing.
We had to look really carefully
in each section.
The wind has just picked up so much.
Your eyes feel like
you need to wear goggles.
So what are you up to?
Well, now I've
This is not working,
the system we're doing.
OK.
Literally one or two rocks, that's it.
Righto. Let's scoop in again.
Good job, bro. You're doing good.
You got it, bro. You're that close.
You're that close.
- I love you, baby. I love you!
- Come on.
- I think jump off, I reckon.
- Careful, I will jump off.
- I reckon that's it.
- Check, please!
Yes! Thank you so much!
- Thank you, sir.
- Thank you very much. Thank you.
We're back, baby! Stoked!
Rip!
"Find the John Dynon Gallery
"and count the wheels
to receive your next clue."
Let's go.
Tiny, tiny bit.
This one has to be it. Check, please!
No.
- Just a fraction out, hey?
- Yeah, just a touch.
I knew it mightn't move.
I knew it could stay steady and we'd
get an exact idea where the balance was.
Let it go there.
Check, please!
- Spot on.
- Good job, Bren.
- Well done, guys.
- Thanks, mate, appreciate it.
Thank you.
"Find the John Dynon Gallery
"and count the wheels
on all the pushbikes
"to receive your next clue."
Let's go.
We jumped the Sikhs.
And Ashleigh and Amanda
were just leaving
as we were pulling up, too.
So we might not
be as far behind as what we think.
Yep.
Chris and Aleisha are only minutes
in front of us.
Jas and Anurag,
they were struggling back there
so we knew we jumped
from last to third.
So we were happy with that.
It's all to get to the finale.
The day doesn't stop
until your feet hit the mat.
You've just got to keep working.
Babe, we're really good
at jumping spots
when we're at the back
but we're not very good
at maintaining our positions.
I was feeling really happy
that we were in second.
If we could maintain second
that's all we needed.
I feel good now.
We just have to maintain this.
Yeah.
Oh, boy.
The pressure is real!
As long as we can make it to the
top three. Keep pushing through.
We knew we were last.
It was super, super frustrating for me
to be sitting on the other side,
not being able to do anything.
My ass is going to hurt after this.
Check, please.
No, the wind is blowing it all out.
It was stressful.
I mean, we knew we were fourth.
We had seen every single team
go through the Roadblock,
get the thumbs up
and move onto the next challenge.
We're still literally sitting here.
- I can't touch it.
- Go and add more.
- You know it's falling.
- But I can't!
- I can't do it.
- Dude, OK. A tiny bit, tiny.
You know what to do, bro.
There it is. The John Dynon Gallery.
- See that crazy building?
- Oh, cool, OK.
We saw the girls were still there
and we thought,
"Maybe we can overtake them here."
OK. Chris and Aleisha
have just turned up.
Do you want to start here and work
our way 'round the whole building?
OK, cool.
It was a little daunting
that Chris and Aleisha
they were that close to us
in this challenge,
as we thought we had quite
a bit more of a lead.
- Do you want to add that to the 28?
- Yeah.
There were wheels hung up on walls
Wheels with, like, grass
growing through them,
wheels that we could barely see
because they had obviously
been there so long,
and we had to count all
the wheels at the gallery.
And that's just in the marked area,
as well.
Yeah, there's the marker there.
There's bikes everywhere, bro.
We knew we were only a couple of
minutes behind Chris and Aleisha.
This next challenge,
we knew we had to be thorough.
Let's go.
- Start here, yeah?
- Yeah.
- Two, four.
- Yeah.
Amanda and Ashleigh, they was still
running around counting it.
Chris and Aleisha - Chris had
a notepad out, writing it down.
It just meant that any mistake
was going to cost you,
so we knew we had to be perfect.
- We say 67?
- 67, yeah. 68, 69
2 plus 14 102. Let's go check.
- Hello, sir. Are you John?
- Yep.
- G'day, John.
- G'day, mate.
There's 102 wheels.
- Dammit.
- Jeez, it's harder than it looks, hey?
Hi. I think we're ready for a check.
Alright, let's keep counting.
We must have missed something.
Come on, bro.
Now, push, push, push, push!
Push, push, push!
This has to be it.
- Thank you.
- Well done, guys.
"Drive to Silverton.
"Count the wheels on all the pushbikes
"to receive your next clue."
- Let's go.
- Go, go, go, go.
Started the day first,
we slipped down to fourth right now.
Mate, that's not
how we want to be racing.
We just need to hustle and
get things done right, in one hit.
Shall I keep going through?
I see signs. I see signs.
OK, good, good, good.
We got there and we saw every other
team running around, counting.
Did you count this wheel?
- 96, 97
- No, no. Motorbike.
Yeah, they're still bikes.
- It says pushbikes and tricycles.
- OK. 96.
One, two, three, four, five
It's another counting task
and the thing with counting tasks
is you could easily miss one,
you may add one.
One, two
Dust flying around,
there's a dust storm rolling in.
It wasn't easy.
- That's it.
- Did we miss any?
- No, those are done.
- Three. OK.
- I have 107.
- Let's try it.
- 105, 106 here
- 107, let's try it.
Alright. Hello.
We have got another attempt.
Is it 107?
- Thank you!
- Thanks so much.
- G'day, mate. 107?
- 107.
- Thanks, mate.
- Thanks, bud.
- Cheers.
- Appreciate it. Thank you.
"Make your way on foot
to the Silverton pub."
"You must each scull a drink
to receive your next clue."
Sipping champagne
from a lady's slipper
has been an act of decadence
since the early 20th century
but here in Australia,
we like to call the little party
trick or act of celebration, a shoey.
Now, in this challenge, teams must
come down to the Silverton Hotel
and meet my gorgeous friend
Shelita Buffet.
All they've got to do is drink
this cocktail of blended ingredients
from the Silverton pub menu
from her glamorous footwear
to receive their next clue.
Oh, yes.
If the boot fits, right?
That is disgusting.
Let's go.
"Enter via the marked entrance."
Let's go.
We knew it was tight.
Jumping up a spot,
that was pretty huge.
Hello. We're ready to scull.
- You look amazing.
- Thank you.
I'd say you do too,
but you've been out in the dust.
Yeah.
We are greeted by the fabulous,
wondrous Shelita Buffet.
And we are like,
"Damn, you look amazing."
- We were there for so long.
- Thank you.
Do you know what a drag queen is?
So I've just learnt
what a drag queen is. I didn't know.
I thought it was a sheila.
I didn't put two and two together.
I just thought,
"Oh, you're fancy dressed out here."
- Mate
- Big Big girl.
I've had some big 'uns in my time
but Oh, mate.
..she would have topped it.
Just makes me want to vomit,
looking at this.
I don't know what it is.
It's this green, sludgy, goopy mix
that looked like someone just
cleaned a drain in the toilet with
and then filled up
this leather high heel boot with it,
like two litres of it.
Go, go, just start drinking.
"Finish the entire drink
or a new one will be poured
"and you will have to start again.
"You must fully swallow all liquid."
- Good luck, boys!
- Thank you.
Mate,
whatever that was, it was putrid.
Don't smell it, just drink it.
Don't spew in it. Just drink it.
Drink it. Drink it. You can do it.
I feel like I'm going to vomit.
Down it!
Oh, my God. I'm feeling so sick.
Hurry up. Down it, down it, down it!
Come on.
Brendon and Jackson
are making some weird noises.
- Oh, mate.
- Come on, bro.
That's it. You can do it.
You can do it.
You've got to scull it, bro, come on.
It is all pretty repulsive.
I feel like I'm going to vomit.
To show that you've finished
the high heel,
you have to hold the empty shoe
above your head.
OK, it's empty.
Thank you.
Come on, just get one more mouthful!
Don't smell it.
Wait, why is she filling it again?
Oh, my god. We have to do two of them.
- What?
- One each.
- Yeah, come on.
- You're kidding me.
- Grab another one.
- Come on.
Don't, don't, don't even do it.
Are we ready?
Down it, down it. One each.
- You're kidding me.
- Grab another one.
Come on.
We had to do a shoey
with an unidentified liquid
out of a fabulous boot.
Come on.
Don't, don't, don't even do it.
You can do it.
Ashleigh looked like death.
Jackson's also vomiting.
Oh, mate.
Stop being so weak!
Come on, bro. Get it down.
So basically it was Brendon and I
doing the shoey.
It's all done, it's all done,
it's all done.
Oh, no, it's not.
OK. Yeah, it's all done, babe.
- Thank you so much!
- Thank you!
Let's go. Thank you, thank you.
You look amazing.
Yoo!
"Route info - make your way on foot
to the Mad Max Museum
"to find Beau at the pit stop."
Just up the road
past the John Dynon Gallery
is the local museum which celebrates
another iconic Aussie movie.
In 1981, the dusty town of Silverton
was the feature location
for Mad Max 2.
And the Mad Max Museum,
where I'm standing right now,
is the Pit Stop for the 22nd leg
of The Amazing Race Australia.
- OK, let's go.
- Quick, quick, quick.
Lollipops, strawberries, yum,
all the good stuff.
- What is in it?
- That's it.
Come on, you can do it.
I was like, "Mate,
I am struggling bad with this."
As soon as it got inside a little bit,
I threw up straightaway in the bin.
You're going to have to help me,
dude. I can't do it on my own.
Do one more and I'll finish it off.
I knew we were sitting
in second place at that point,
so I was like, "Come on.
We've got to get it down."
I wasn't even thinking about it.
That's it.
Moral of the story, don't ever
accept a drink from a drag queen.
No, especially in a high heel boot.
Thank you.
"Make your way on foot
to the Mad Max Museum
"to find Beau at the Pit Stop.
"Hurry, the last team to arrive
may be eliminated."
- What about this one?
- No, no, that's not a push bike.
- OK.
- 16, 17.
104, 105, 106
- That's it. I think that's good.
- Did we miss any?
- No, those are done.
- Three, OK.
Are there any that we've missed,
like, out a bit?
Oh, do you think
Do you think that one's in?
- Oh, babe.
- Let's go.
- No.
- No? Dammit.
Lets do it again.
Let's do it again, OK?
Shall we go the other way around?
OK, so 107?
- Yeah.
- Yeah?
We saw the Sikhs struggling
to get the right answer.
- Mm-hm. Yeah.
- Why is that not a wheel?
We knew if we could get
this done faster than them
we wouldn't be in last place.
Hello, sir. 107.
- Yes! Thank you so much.
- Thank you very much.
Thank you.
Love your place, have a good one!
Have a good one.
"Make your way to Silverton pub."
"Drink from some fabulous
footwear to receive your next clue."
We have overcome so much,
done more legs than any other team.
We've had three Sabotages,
huge penalties,
but we're fighters
and we'll stay in it.
Jesus, Jesus, Jesus. Oh, my God!
This way. This way. This way.
Baby, where are you going?
- That could be a pub. But there's flags.
- This way! Baby, this way.
- Mad Max Museum is that way!
- Yeah!
Aleisha, that's not the pub!
It could be, baby.
That could be a pub.
..10, 11
Guys, guys!
- Oh! Girls!
- Help us out.
- Girls! Wait, wait, wait!
- Wait, wait, wait!
107.107.
- Oh, they're telling them!
- For sake!
Alright. Come on.
Our alliance with the Sikhs
has always been strong since early on.
We promised them a long time ago
that we would help them out
when we can
and they were to help us out
and that we would never U-Turn
each other
or would never cross each other.
- I saw flags over there, see?
- Oh, that's the hotel.
Thank you! Let's go. Let's go.
Today the girls
told us the answer.
'Cause there's been
so many circumstances
when we've gone out of our way
to help everybody else,
and Amanda and Ashleigh
have clearly seen that.
Just read.
"Make your way on foot
to the Silverton pub.
"You must each scull a drink
from some fabulous footwear
- "to receive your next clue."
- Let's go.
We knew we were still last
but we can beat Chris and Aleisha
in a foot race.
This one's closer!
There's flags here too!
Chris and Aleisha,
they were fighting each other,
and we just legged it.
Keep going. Keep going.
It's game on. It's do or die,
right here, right now.
If we don't give it all,
we will be going home.
- Aleisha, please come on!
- No!
Aleisha, please, come on!
I can't, baby. I can't.
I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry!
- Go, go, go, go.
- Keep going, keep going!
Hey, there.
We overtook Chris and Aleisha
right at the door,
which meant
we'd get served the drink first.
Can we have a beer, please?
- They cheated, they told
- I know.
Don't worry about that, baby.
We can still catch up.
- No, we can't!
- I know it's not fair but we can catch up.
We've got to finish it all.
Don't smell the liquid.
Just got to empty your mouth.
I couldn't care how it looked,
I couldn't care how it smelt,
I couldn't care how it tasted,
that adrenaline had kicked in.
Come on, Jas. Finish it, finish it.
If I drink this, I get to move on.
If I don't drink this, I'm going home.
- Whatever it is, I'm drinking it.
- Well done, well done. You're done.
Keep going, you can do it.
Keep going. Swallow it up.
- We've got to run after this.
- You've got this, bro.
Swallow it down.
Do you want some water?
Do you want some water?
OK, thank you.
Mad Max Museum's that way.
Oh, I see the flags!
- This is it. This is top three, bro.
- I see it. I see it.
- This is top three.
- Yeah.
Adrian, if you could pick one item,
just one, that you are most proud of
in the museum, what would it be?
That is a really difficult question
but it would have to be the boomerang.
The boomerang?
The aluminium boomerang
that the Feral Kid had.
It is so iconic.
That's probably the one
that I would pick, I think so.
Come on, bro. Come on! Top three!
Come on, babe. Push, push, push.
Remember what we're here for.
Push yourself!
Yes, yes!
- Welcome to Silverton.
- Thank you!
Ashleigh and Amanda,
you are the first team to check-in!
We have won eight legs
in The Amazing Race,
which is such an awesome achievement.
You have also won an escape
to the Shangri-La Hotel in Cairns
in a Horizon Suite
thanks to 10traveller.com
and, of course,
Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts.
- Amazing!
- Fancy!
One step closer to 250 grand.
Well done, girls. Super impressive.
I'll see you soon.
Welcome to the final three.
- Thank you, Beau.
- Thanks, Beau. - Good job.
Brendon and Jackson,
you are the second team to check-in.
And boys you are in the final three.
- Yeah, buddy.
- Told you!
How do you feel, man?
- Top of the world now.
- That was a big day.
- We went from first to fourth
- Back up.
..from a taxi and
We had to push today.
We had to push deep.
Today was a good day.
We struggled
but we knew we had to chase.
We just kept lapping them up,
the challenges. It's what we do.
Top three is a
That's a huge accomplishment
on its own.
That's the stuff!
This is going to determine
who wants it the most.
Well done. Terrific effort.
- The race ain't done yet.
- The job's not finished yet.
It's nothing.
It's just like chutney.
We knew it was on.
We knew all of a sudden
we had caught up a place,
we were not in the last position
and potentially not going home.
You've got this, bro. Keep going.
We did not want to let this one
slip out of our hands.
We know Chris,
he was not going to stop,
he would gun through the shoey.
- Thank you.
- Thank you, thank you.
Let's go!
"Make your way on foot
to the Mad Max Museum
"to find Beau at the Pit Stop."
"Hurry, the last team to
arrive may be eliminated."
Let's go, let's go, let's go.
Thank you so much.
- Thank you.
- Thank you so much.
Thank you very much.
"Make your way on foot
to the Mad Max Museum
"to find Beau at the Pit Stop.
"Hurry, the last thing to arrive
may be eliminated.
- Swap. I'll take your bag.
- Yeah.
- Where's Aleisha? Are they behind us?
- Keep going, keep going.
- There's the flags!
- Keep going. A little bit further.
- Let's run, let's run.
- Quick.
Don't slow down.
Welcome to Silverton.
- Thank you.
- Thank you.
Jaskirat and Anurag,
you are the third team to check-in.
You're in the final three.
Alright, boys, go and get the dust
off your face, and I'll see you soon.
- Well done. - Thanks, Beau.
- Thanks, Beau.
They told each other.
It's all good, darling,
take your time.
Come on, Aleisha.
Come on. Stand up.
Chris and Aleisha,
you are the last team to check-in.
And you're eliminated.
It wasn't a fair fight.
Just furious.
You know, it's not just
how physical you are, or mental.
The race is strategy as well.
You guys gave it everything and more.
And you're still carrying her bag.
Unfortunately, guys, time is over.
The race is so much tougher
than I thought it would be.
This is 10 times harder
than I ever imagined it would be.
Oh, my God!
But Aleisha's a great race partner.
Whoo-hoo!
She has been running side-by-side
with really strong guys and girls
Yes! We've got this, baby!
..and she's been holding her own.
- I'm so proud of you, baby.
- I did it!
Chris is awesome.
He knows when to push me
Good job, baby. Keep going!
..and when to have a great time
and laugh it out
Oh, this is going to be
in my dreams for the next year.
..and he carried us a lot
through this race.
I love you, baby. I love you!
So I owe all these legs
to this guy right here.
- I love you.
- Yeah, you too.
Next time
on The Amazing Race Australia
A 10-metre leap of faith
through flame bars.
..out final three teams
get fired up
Go, buddy!
That was sick!
..in the big smoke.
The Sikhs are definitely
our biggest threat
because Sydney's their hometown.
And in the race's penultimate leg
We know once it's game on,
there's no friends.
..the alliance is over
- Oh, my God!
- It was on like Donkey Kong.
Sikhs are there!
..as all three teams
fight to be in the finale.
You are the last team to check-in.
The Amazing Race Australia
Three, two, one, go!
..the greatest adventure on
Earth began in Queensland
Literally have never done
anything like this in my life.
..and travelled up and down
this great land
Oh, this is so badass!
..the most extreme on the planet.
Tough, like, really tough.
Not just physically, but mentally.
And in the toughest race ever seen
It just kept getting harder
and harder and harder.
..four teams emerged as
the toughest teams ever seen.
Oh, my God!
Tonight
I'm, like, nervous today.
Because it's crunch time.
..our final four head
to Broken Hill
This is going to be cool,
this is going to be epic.
..home of Priscilla,
Queen of the Desert
I thought it was a sheila.
Whoa!
..and fight for their spot
This is so frustrating!
..in the finale.
Any mistake was going to cost you.
And in the toughest
eating challenge ever seen
Just drink it, don't spew in it.
Don't, don't, don't even do it.
..one team will fall
at the final hurdle.
You are the last team to check in,
and you're eliminated.
It's early morning,
and our final four are
waking up in Dubbo,
named by the first settler
in honour of the local Wiradjuri word
for 'red earth'.
It's from here
that our teams will depart
in the order in which they finished
their last leg.
"Fly to the Silver City, Broken Hill."
"Once there, make your way
to the Big Heel in the Palace Hotel
"for your next instructions."
- Bye!
- Let's go.
Sweet. Broken Hill.
Our four remaining teams
are travelling from Dubbo
to the frontier mining town
of Broken Hill.
Often referred to
as the unofficial capital
of the New South Wales outback,
it was made even more famous
in its 1994 appearance
in the box-office smash,
and one of my favourite movies,
The Adventures Of Priscilla,
Queen Of The Desert.
And it's just about to host
the 22nd leg
of The Amazing Race Australia.
And let me tell you, she's windy.
Go, go, go!
Take a taxi to the airport.
- We need to go to the airport.
- To the airport, please.
Would you mind calling me a taxi?
That would be amazing.
Yeah, it'd be tough
to get a cab in Dubbo.
- Yeah, I thought it would have been.
- I did too.
We're top four now,
we need to get into the top three.
We're coming up to the finale.
We're taking every challenge
at a time.
We will do whatever it takes to win.
We're doing it for our family,
doing it for our kids.
Man, this is tough.
- This could well be an elimination.
- Yeah.
We have to - have to -
finish first this leg.
Anurag, top four so far.
We've got this. We've got this.
Hustle, hustle, every second.
We have to give it all, we're going
to put our bodies on the line.
It's all-in, baby.
That's what it's all about now.
Taxi!
Last leg, we had a rough one,
with a U-turn.
Alright, we're still in the race.
This morning,
we're aiming for first place.
We're all here to win.
This means so much to us,
we're not just going to give up.
The race is always so stressful.
We can go from first to last
like that.
The Sikhs got in a maxi really quick.
- Yep.
- I don't know if the Cowboys got one.
We said early on
the final three were going to be us,
the Cowboys, and Jas and Anurag.
So we are sticking with them
in our alliance.
Especially with how close we are
to the final.
I hope the Cowboys got a cab.
Where is this bloody taxi?
Apparently, there was only
four taxis working in Dubbo today.
Three of them were out on route,
one of them was on smoko.
Never missed a flight before,
but today could be the first day.
- Here we go, here's one.
- Oh, we're on.
No, we're not.
Yes, we are.
Finally.
Go, go, go!
Our teams will all travel
on the same 800km flight
from Dubbo to Broken Hill,
an old mining town named
after the world's largest
lead and zinc deposits
rising from the ground.
Once there, they will make their way
to the Palace Hotel,
spiritual home of Priscilla,
Queen of the Desert,
and find the Big Heel
to pick up their next clue.
Let's go.
Hey, mate, how are you?
To the Palace Hotel.
Keep it going!
The Palace Hotel, yeah.
The fastest way.
You just never know
with all these challenges
- what's going on.
- Anything can happen. Yeah.
I'm nervous today
because it's crunch time.
But, yeah, we definitely just want
to be in the top three.
For sure.
Go, go, go!
When we landed in Broken Hill
we were the fourth team to leave,
so, we were at the back of the pack.
How you going? Palace Hotel.
Hopefully we're going to get some
real physical challenges.
At least the only positive thing
about starting at the back
of the pack is we can only go up.
Yeah, exactly right.
Round the front?
Yeah, round the front. Round
the front. Keep an eye out.
Heel. That's the heel.
"Step one. Get ready to Break Bad."
Many of Broken Hill's streets are
named after elements and compounds,
which are the lifeblood to
the town's mining industry.
For this challenge, our teams
must follow clues to find
four street intersections
which feature the names
of different compounds.
At each intersection they must
pick up equipment or a chemical,
before making their way to
the mad scientist
to conduct an experiment.
Then, they'll receive their next clue.
"Travel on foot to the corner of Sulphide
and Blende Streets to get started."
OK, cool.
Find Blende Street.
Blende. Oh, OK.
- If we go out that way. - Yeah, out
that way. - It's two blocks. Two blocks.
Good, good, good, good.
- The next one is
- This one should be Blende.
Blende, yeah.
Signs and directions and trying
to find places, oh, this is ours.
Mate, we've got this.
It says we will get safety equipment.
We have to wear it
the whole way through.
- Thank you so much.
- Thank you.
- Oh, here.
- Oh, found it.
"Travel on foot to the corner of Sulphide
and Blende Street to get started."
Sulphide and Blende Street. Let's go.
There. Safety equipment.
Hey, there. We want to get
some equipment, safety gear.
- OK. - Put your stuff on.
- We've got to put this on right now?
Yes, you need to
put it on at all times.
There's overalls
and there's gloves in it
there's lab glasses in there.
Are we doing some sort
of chemistry experiment?
This is going to be cool.
This is going to be epic.
"Using your knowledge of science,
find the intersection of Co
"and Cl-to find your next equipment."
Cobalt. D5.
Anurag, especially being an engineer,
knows exactly what chemicals are what.
What am I looking for now?
Chloride.
Follow my thumb. Follow my thumb.
Cobalt comes across here and into
Chloride. On the other side of the
park. Is there any teams coming?
- The girls are coming.
- Go, go, go, go.
We are not telling
anyone what the signs are.
Yes, I know. They're running this way.
They are coming this way.
They're running here.
We built up a pretty strong alliance
with the Cowboys and Amanda and Ashleigh.
However, we are going to have
to be more strategic now.
Let's go. We're here to win 250K.
We've got to go across the park.
Hello. Can we please
have the safety gear?
Ready? OK.
So, we're dressed to impress
Thank you.
..and I have a fairly OK knowledge
of the periodic table,
and I did chemistry 1 and 2 at uni.
- I got it, I got it.
- Alright. Go, go, go.
Our first step is to go to Cobalt
and Chloride at intersecting streets.
Almost there.
There it is.
"Step one. Get ready to Break Bad."
- Whoo-hoo!
- Yes!
I am a bit of a nerd,
so we know we've got this one.
"Travel to the corner of
Sulphide and Blende Street."
Blende is this one here.
OK, which way, baby?
This way.
I think we can always read maps.
I can always read maps.
Never get lost.
Sulphide and Blende Street.
Do you know where it is?
Yeah.
I can read them.
I don't know where we are on them.
I see the metro. I know where we are.
So this is the corner
of Bromide and Argent.
Excuse me, excuse me.
Could you just point where exactly we
are on the map right at this very moment?
OK.
- Where you are
- Yeah.
Just as quick as you can.
- OK, amazing. Thank you so much. Got it.
- OK.
Thank you, thank you.
OK, so we need to go this way.
Yeah, let's go.
Big heel.
"Step one. Get ready to Break Bad.
"Travel on foot to the corner of Sulphide
and Blende Streets to get started."
Let's go.
- Can you read it when we're jogging?
- Yeah.
Chris and Aleisha
were running up the road.
So we kind of just followed
them, really, didn't we?
Yeah.
- Oh, the Cowboys are already here.
- Aleisha, should we keep going up?
Or go across there?
Alright, let's cross. The
Cowboys are right there.
- Should we cross here?
- I already said yes!
- Answer my question, OK?
- I said it three times yes!
- That's Blende.
- Yeah.
We're here, right?
Where are we trying to go?
No, we're here.
Well, I pointed that to you before,
and you said no.
- Yeah, I've got Blende Street.
- How far is it?
So, Crystal
It'll be the next one over.
- The next one over?
- Yeah.
They're just going to follow us,
'cause they're not very
good at maps, you know?
Yeah.
Excuse me, mate.
We've got to get to Sulphide Street.
- Is it? Thanks, mate.
- You're a legend. Thank you.
It was only around the corner,
so Chris and Aleisha,
they didn't hear it,
so we went the other direction.
- How you going?
- How are ya?
- Thank you very much.
- Do it out here?
Yeah, we've got the jump
on Chris and Aleisha.
They're down there somewhere.
If that's Chloride,
Cobalt is going to be
halfway through the park.
So we find
the next intersection
- Yeah.
- Perfect.
Hey, mate. How are you?
Can we have
some potassium iodide, please?
..and we get the first chemical.
Thank you.
"Taking your equipment, make
your way to the intersection of Co"
Cobalt.
"..and S2-."
OK. S2 would be Sulphide.
Through Cobalt Street,
across the other side of the park.
OK, got you.
As we were progressing
through the stations,
we're starting to find out,
"Oh, hold on,
"I'm picking up something
from this station. I'm
picking up another
chemical at this station."
- Co and S2?
- Yeah.
This is all going to come together
at some point.
Can we get some hydrogen peroxide,
please?
- Do we have a clue?
- Thank you.
"Continuing carefully
with your equipment in your hand"
"..find the intersection
of Br- and Co.
Oh, Bromide and Cobalt.
Cobalt.
Alright, that's fine.
Let's cross over.
- Let's go this way.
- Across here.
But the most important thing was,
we couldn't drop anything.
Keep it going!
Can we please get some
hydrogen peroxide?
- Thank you.
- Thank you.
It's 36 degrees in Broken Hill
today. It is sweltering.
Br is either beryllium, boron
or b Um
Br Bromide, bromide.
I'm carrying the hydrogen peroxide
and the little potassium iodide
and not spilling it,
and trying not to drop it.
Hold it tight, yeah?
That's clue number four, yeah?
We have to take
colour detergent, so
Take these and find
the mad scientist at the Big Ant.
- At the Big And?
- Ant.
Alright, let's go.
You're going real fast
for me.
Which one do you think
Sulphur is? This one?
Yeah. No.
Oh, there it is.
- Yeah.
- Have we gone too far, then?
Can't find Bromide. Sulphide. Oh!
We've definitely gone too far. Argh!
Aleisha, when I pointed and
said "We're here," you ignored me.
No, I didn't ignore you, baby.
I didn't see.
You were running. It was hard to see.
Hey, look at me!
It's got to be in that park.
The Big Ant.
Stop. I want to see
if we can see anything.
See that table?
There's two tables there.
Yeah.
Mad scientist!
- How are you, mate?
- How you doing?
Find a table
and mix the ingredients.
Slowly.
We were thinking,
"OK, maybe the colour will change."
Nah.
OK, mix this one slowly
and pour this one quickly
and take a step back.
OK, quickly pour that one.
Whoa!
That was pretty cool!
Boom!
It just exploded out of the beaker
and just went everywhere.
But the best thing is it all landed
on the mad scientist.
- Thank you.
- Thank you, thank you, thank you.
- Road Block.
- "Who's watching their weight?"
A Road Block is a challenge that
only one team member must choose
to complete, based on a cryptic clue.
Our teams must head to the outskirts
of town and find Junction Mine.
In this challenge,
one team member must shovel grit
and attempt to balance out a seesaw,
get it level with their teammate
on the other end.
It's all about precision.
Let me tell you,
it's all about balance.
Once the seesaw is perfectly level
..they'll receive their next clue.
- Do you want to do it? Yeah, let's go.
- I'll do it.
So, by this point
we knew we were first.
Go.
We could see Chris and Aleisha
still around the bend,
trying to figure out step one.
- Car.
- No, nothing to do with cars.
We need to go to the corner, baby.
Are we supposed
to go that way?
Find a table
and mix the ingredients.
- Thank you. Thank you so much.
- Thank you.
- Road Block!
- Road Block!
"Who's watching their weight?"
I can do it. I'll do it.
- Let's go.
- Awesome.
Cobalt. Cl.
What's the element
that starts with Cl?
Oh, I don't know.
"Yeah, like we'd tell you, boys."
- Co and Cl. Cobalt? Yeah.
- Do you think it's cobalt?
What's that? Chloride.
So we need to go to there.
- Sure?
- Yeah.
- 100%?
- Yes, let's go.
- Over here. Over here!
- Huh?
G'day, mate.
We'll take potassium iodide.
Have you got a clue for us?
Let's go.
"Make your way to the
intersection of Co and S2."
Hey. Hey!
- Hey!
- Yeah, I hear you!
Can you carry my backpack, please?
OK, look. Look up. Look up.
Oh, my gosh. Finally.
Hello. Have you got
any protection gear for us?
- Yes, I do.
- Yes. Thanks.
Jesus.
- Thank you so much.
- The blind leading the blind.
- Silly mistake.
- Yeah.
We could be eliminated because
we make a silly mistake like that.
100%.
- Do you have a clue for us as well?
- Yes, I do.
- Thank you very much.
- There you go, guys.
OK, we've got that map.
Let's figure it out here.
Cobalt, Cobalt. It'll be Cobalt.
- And then Chloride.
- This way.
I reckon we head to that thing.
- This way, then.
- Either way.
- We can go either way.
- No.
- Yes, yes!
- But why would we go that way, then?
- OK.
- Because this is Cobalt.
Alright! I'm shutting up now,
because everything I say is wrong.
So, we need to find
this place.
- What's it called?
- Junction Mine.
We got our next clue,
and it's a Road Block.
We need to ask someone.
I'm going to reverse back
and go to the workshop.
We're in the lead,
so we had a lot of pressure on us.
Hey, mate.
We're just looking for Junction Mine.
Two legs to go. We want to be
first, and I know we can do it.
- So, just in there, right?
- Thanks, guys.
Thank you.
It definitely
said Junction Mine.
Yeah, it's on the other side
of the railway track.
- How much do you weigh? Oh.
- 64 kilos.
This Road Block instructed us
to head to Junction Mine.
Our goal the whole time
was we just wanted to
make the final three
and never get eliminated.
You'll be able to smash
this out really quickly, I reckon.
Perfect.
- Junction Mine!
- Yes, yes.
Go, go.
- None of the other teams are there.
- Yes!
Alright, do you want
to have a look at this?
Yeah.
"Sit in the barrel
at the end of the seesaw."
We have to make a seesaw balance.
Yeah, so you're sitting on that side.
But the twist here is
I have to use a wheelbarrow
and pile it up with gravel and dirt
and fill up a drum to try and match
Ashleigh's weight while she's
sitting on the other end of the seesaw.
"You must walk along the seesaw
to deposit your grit."
Are you going to take that on there?
I feel like you're just
supposed to walk alone.
- It says walk along the seesaw.
- Yeah.
It doesn't say to bring
the wheelbarrow up there.
Obviously, I'm not allowed to help.
But I'm thinking, "This is not right.
"This is extremely wrong."
"Walk along that
seesaw to deposit your grit."
Yeah.
If I can get this up there,
it will be much quicker.
OK.
Do you not think that's a good idea?
I will try one more time.
That's not working.
Ashleigh's eyes were saying
a lot of things.
But it's not easy to lift a wheelbarrow
onto a seesaw!
You were like,
"What the hell are you doing?"
Now you've got the idea.
Finally!
- Where's that park?
- Next street.
- Is it?
- Yeah.
How you going?
We need some colour detergent.
- Yeah.
- Great, I'll give it to Brendon.
- You alright, Bren?
- I can't run with it, dude.
- I'm spilling it all.
- Alright.
Oh, I hate running.
Are you sure S2 is Sulphide?
Baby, I've already said
I think it's S2.
I can't run any more.
- OK, you'll have to do the best you can.
- I'm sorry.
- We're a long way behind. Can you jog?
- I'm really tired!
I know you are. Can you jog?
We knew we were in fourth place
at that point
This is Sulphide. Where's Cobalt?
..because we went the wrong way
Back that way?
..and now we know
we have to play catch up.
Yeah, she's there, baby. See?
And I think that's stressing us
out even more.
I can't run anymore.
You're not listening.
What do you want me to do? Carry you?
Just walk.
Hello. Hydrogen peroxide, please.
- Thank you very much.
- Thanks, guys.
Yes, girl! OK, get
those rocks. They're nice and heavy.
Yeah.
To empty the first load
of the wheelbarrow
was probably about 15 laps
up and down this seesaw
Yes, girl.
..in the scorching heat, in this
windstorm with all the dirt in it.
It's a little bit windy.
Don't worry, Amanda!
You're doing really well.
Let's go.
Perfect. You're heavier, I'm
lighter. This couldn't be more perfect.
Whoo!
Argh!
- You're doing so well.
- Why isn't it even lifting?
Oh, my God. Have I put too much?
No, no, no. You haven't.
Yeah, I have.
Why would you be in the air?
Oh, shit.
I didn't notice that
I'd overfilled the barrel,
and it was now heavier
than Ashleigh's weight.
Amanda, keep checking.
Keep going, bro.
Yeah, I noticed what the girls did.
They put too much
and now they've got to reverse it.
Amanda, check.
Amanda was taking out
massive shovels at a time,
and I'm thinking
she just needed to calm down
and she needed to check
in between each scoop.
This is so annoying.
You've got this, Anurag!
Well done, bro!
That's it! Good work.
Bro, they're still
trying to sort it out.
Amanda, check.
This is so frustrating!
- That's the Big Ant.
- It is, too.
- Found him.
- Good job.
- G'day, mate. Yes.
- Gentlemen.
- Find any unused table.
- Yeah.
Mix the ingredients.
So, go over there and pour all
your things in the test tube.
Slowly with this one.
Slowly?
I'll put in there.
Put it in quickly and stand back.
- She took off, didn't she? Mate!
- Oh, mate.
It was going!
It looked like me after eight weeks.
Happy days.
Thank you very much.
Beautiful. Road Block.
- "Who's watching their weight?" Yeah.
- I'll do it.
Oh, baby, I feel so sick!
I know you do.
No, but it's like that vomit time,
OK? It's that bad.
- OK.
- Ugh!
What do you want to do? Give up?
No, I just want to walk.
I've told you three times.
OK.
- Are we going the right way?
- Yeah.
- It's definitely this way?
- Oh, my God. I'm so over you!
OK, can you not yell at me?
There it is.
Right, find a table
and mix the ingredients.
Work quickly and stand back.
Whoo-hoo!
- Thank you so much. - Your next clue.
- Thank you very much.
OK, Road Block.
"Who's watching their weight?"
- I'll do this one.
- Up to you.
- Let's go.
- OK.
You've got to check.
Come on, Anurag! Good work!
That's it!
What the hell?
The problem is
- Is this too light or too heavy?
- Too heavy.
..this grit has
some really big rocks in it,
and then some fine sand.
So each shovel-full
is such a different weight.
Check.
Yeah, take it off. Thank you.
- This is so annoying.
- You're killing it, Amanda.
So, where are you
thinking it might be?
Well, there's a thing called
Junction Crescent
and there's a mine there.
What's this to our right here, mate?
- Yeah, that's
- What's it called?
Oh, hang on you
might be able to get to it
What's this?
- Are we on Eyre Street?
- Uh, couldn't tell you.
- Turn around.
- Turn around, you reckon?
- Are we far There's Comstock Street.
- Eyre Street.
- Turn around, yeah, turn around.
- Ah.
Sorry, bro.
Um, at the moment we've still got
the lead on Chris and Aleisha,
so we've just got to try and get
in and get this challenge done.
Find the bloody thing first.
- Nothing on your map?
- No.
One thing goes wrong,
and we keep, like,
spiralling down into this, like,
frustration with each other.
And it's pretty hard for us
to get out of these bad moods.
But the pressure is just like
- We snapped out of it.
- Yeah, we did, we snapped out of it.
So now we're snapped out of
a bad mood, we can do anything!
OK, which way?
So, keep going to the end of this
road. So, go back to the right.
- Go right?
- Yes, right.
- OK, we came from the left.
- Uh-huh. Go right.
I'm glad this is Road Block.
It wasn't about
just putting up the barrel.
You had to make sure the weight
was perfectly balanced.
And that was the hard part.
Check, please.
Aw!
- You're nearly there, bro.
- Killing it!
Could you please check?
Whoo!
- Thank you.
- Thank you. Thanks so much.
"Drive to Silverton
and find the John Dynon Gallery
"and count the wheels on all
the pushbikes
"to receive your next clue."
Teams must make the 20-kilometre drive
to the outback mining town
of Silverton,
made famous for its silver rush
in the 1800s
and for providing
the backdrop to Mad Max 2.
Once here, teams must find the gallery
of famous outback artist John Dynon.
They must then count the wheels on all
of the gallery's pushbikes and tricycles.
When they hit the right tally
of 107 wheels,
they'll receive their next clue.
Whoo! We're in first for once!
And your direction skills today
are so good.
Thank you, I'm trying so hard.
Yes!
They won't be
far behind us though, hey?
I know.
We got to the Road Block
in third place.
We know we need a classic
Chris and Aleisha comeback here.
That's grit. You've got to collect it.
So where is he going to collect it?
Boys, where do you get
your grits from?
- All around you.
- OK. - Anywhere you want.
Anywhere you want.
Check up here, babe.
Coming into the pointy end
of the race now.
Oh, Aleisha, I think
it just means anything, right?
- No.
- Good work, bro.
We will not misguide.
We will also not guide.
- Oh, so it's just dirt from anywhere.
- Yeah.
Do you think it could be up here?
Aleisha, you've got to go
and sit on there.
It says, "Once you sit"
Aleisha, just go sit on there.
- This is my Road Block.
- Alright.
There's grits
you've got to collect.
Boys, where do get your grits from?
- All around you.
- OK. - Anywhere you want, bro.
Anywhere you want.
- Check up here, babe.
- Push, push, push.
Push, this is our chance.
Oh, it's over there, baby.
Right, they're still
trying to sort it out.
You've got this, bro. Well done.
I had to fill that wheelbarrow
with piles of grit.
Aleisha had to jump on one end
of the seesaw and I had to fill up
the other end of the seesaw
so they would balance out.
Whoo!
Yeah, we know we're last.
Yeah, this is not what we needed.
- That's Junction Mine just here, bro.
- Beautiful.
Ooh, screechy!
Let's go.
Alright, the cowboys are here.
I'm not that heavy,
so you just move really fast.
You can get this.
Whoo!
Great challenge for us
because, out of all the teams,
Aleisha is definitely
the lightest one.
Argh!
I'm little!
You're doing real good.
I knew I wouldn't have to shovel
as much dirt
as some of the other teams.
Ah! Not much more, baby.
Good job, bro. You're going good.
I knew Brendon was tougher
than the rest of them.
I knew he could get it done quick.
Anurag and Jas were there.
Amanda and Ashleigh had just left. I
thought, "We're not that far behind.
"This is our chance to make
some time up." Good job, bro.
It's sort of like a bucking bronco.
Give me a ride, brother!
Give me a ride!
Let's go!
Ow!
Hey, Bren!
Too much weight on it!
I told you I've lost some weight.
Take some out?
I think so. I haven't moved.
Look at what Anurag and Jas have
been doing. We've got to get it level.
- Any way to get it level.
- Push it down the outside. Light touch.
Being out in the middle
of the desert, 35-degree heat,
beating down sun,
and there's 45km winds,
there's dust flying everywhere,
it was tough.
Check, please.
No.
Bit less, bro. A tiny bit less.
You've got this, bro.
You got this. Come on.
"Count only the wheels
within the marked area.
"A wheel must have spokes and rim.
"Bicycle and tricycle wheels only."
There were a lot
of bikes in this yard
and a lot of them were broken
and some of them didn't have wheels.
Ooh, it's windy.
Alright. Let's start counting.
Five, six, seven
Oh, this is getting confusing.
We had to look really carefully
in each section.
The wind has just picked up so much.
Your eyes feel like
you need to wear goggles.
So what are you up to?
Well, now I've
This is not working,
the system we're doing.
OK.
Literally one or two rocks, that's it.
Righto. Let's scoop in again.
Good job, bro. You're doing good.
You got it, bro. You're that close.
You're that close.
- I love you, baby. I love you!
- Come on.
- I think jump off, I reckon.
- Careful, I will jump off.
- I reckon that's it.
- Check, please!
Yes! Thank you so much!
- Thank you, sir.
- Thank you very much. Thank you.
We're back, baby! Stoked!
Rip!
"Find the John Dynon Gallery
"and count the wheels
to receive your next clue."
Let's go.
Tiny, tiny bit.
This one has to be it. Check, please!
No.
- Just a fraction out, hey?
- Yeah, just a touch.
I knew it mightn't move.
I knew it could stay steady and we'd
get an exact idea where the balance was.
Let it go there.
Check, please!
- Spot on.
- Good job, Bren.
- Well done, guys.
- Thanks, mate, appreciate it.
Thank you.
"Find the John Dynon Gallery
"and count the wheels
on all the pushbikes
"to receive your next clue."
Let's go.
We jumped the Sikhs.
And Ashleigh and Amanda
were just leaving
as we were pulling up, too.
So we might not
be as far behind as what we think.
Yep.
Chris and Aleisha are only minutes
in front of us.
Jas and Anurag,
they were struggling back there
so we knew we jumped
from last to third.
So we were happy with that.
It's all to get to the finale.
The day doesn't stop
until your feet hit the mat.
You've just got to keep working.
Babe, we're really good
at jumping spots
when we're at the back
but we're not very good
at maintaining our positions.
I was feeling really happy
that we were in second.
If we could maintain second
that's all we needed.
I feel good now.
We just have to maintain this.
Yeah.
Oh, boy.
The pressure is real!
As long as we can make it to the
top three. Keep pushing through.
We knew we were last.
It was super, super frustrating for me
to be sitting on the other side,
not being able to do anything.
My ass is going to hurt after this.
Check, please.
No, the wind is blowing it all out.
It was stressful.
I mean, we knew we were fourth.
We had seen every single team
go through the Roadblock,
get the thumbs up
and move onto the next challenge.
We're still literally sitting here.
- I can't touch it.
- Go and add more.
- You know it's falling.
- But I can't!
- I can't do it.
- Dude, OK. A tiny bit, tiny.
You know what to do, bro.
There it is. The John Dynon Gallery.
- See that crazy building?
- Oh, cool, OK.
We saw the girls were still there
and we thought,
"Maybe we can overtake them here."
OK. Chris and Aleisha
have just turned up.
Do you want to start here and work
our way 'round the whole building?
OK, cool.
It was a little daunting
that Chris and Aleisha
they were that close to us
in this challenge,
as we thought we had quite
a bit more of a lead.
- Do you want to add that to the 28?
- Yeah.
There were wheels hung up on walls
Wheels with, like, grass
growing through them,
wheels that we could barely see
because they had obviously
been there so long,
and we had to count all
the wheels at the gallery.
And that's just in the marked area,
as well.
Yeah, there's the marker there.
There's bikes everywhere, bro.
We knew we were only a couple of
minutes behind Chris and Aleisha.
This next challenge,
we knew we had to be thorough.
Let's go.
- Start here, yeah?
- Yeah.
- Two, four.
- Yeah.
Amanda and Ashleigh, they was still
running around counting it.
Chris and Aleisha - Chris had
a notepad out, writing it down.
It just meant that any mistake
was going to cost you,
so we knew we had to be perfect.
- We say 67?
- 67, yeah. 68, 69
2 plus 14 102. Let's go check.
- Hello, sir. Are you John?
- Yep.
- G'day, John.
- G'day, mate.
There's 102 wheels.
- Dammit.
- Jeez, it's harder than it looks, hey?
Hi. I think we're ready for a check.
Alright, let's keep counting.
We must have missed something.
Come on, bro.
Now, push, push, push, push!
Push, push, push!
This has to be it.
- Thank you.
- Well done, guys.
"Drive to Silverton.
"Count the wheels on all the pushbikes
"to receive your next clue."
- Let's go.
- Go, go, go, go.
Started the day first,
we slipped down to fourth right now.
Mate, that's not
how we want to be racing.
We just need to hustle and
get things done right, in one hit.
Shall I keep going through?
I see signs. I see signs.
OK, good, good, good.
We got there and we saw every other
team running around, counting.
Did you count this wheel?
- 96, 97
- No, no. Motorbike.
Yeah, they're still bikes.
- It says pushbikes and tricycles.
- OK. 96.
One, two, three, four, five
It's another counting task
and the thing with counting tasks
is you could easily miss one,
you may add one.
One, two
Dust flying around,
there's a dust storm rolling in.
It wasn't easy.
- That's it.
- Did we miss any?
- No, those are done.
- Three. OK.
- I have 107.
- Let's try it.
- 105, 106 here
- 107, let's try it.
Alright. Hello.
We have got another attempt.
Is it 107?
- Thank you!
- Thanks so much.
- G'day, mate. 107?
- 107.
- Thanks, mate.
- Thanks, bud.
- Cheers.
- Appreciate it. Thank you.
"Make your way on foot
to the Silverton pub."
"You must each scull a drink
to receive your next clue."
Sipping champagne
from a lady's slipper
has been an act of decadence
since the early 20th century
but here in Australia,
we like to call the little party
trick or act of celebration, a shoey.
Now, in this challenge, teams must
come down to the Silverton Hotel
and meet my gorgeous friend
Shelita Buffet.
All they've got to do is drink
this cocktail of blended ingredients
from the Silverton pub menu
from her glamorous footwear
to receive their next clue.
Oh, yes.
If the boot fits, right?
That is disgusting.
Let's go.
"Enter via the marked entrance."
Let's go.
We knew it was tight.
Jumping up a spot,
that was pretty huge.
Hello. We're ready to scull.
- You look amazing.
- Thank you.
I'd say you do too,
but you've been out in the dust.
Yeah.
We are greeted by the fabulous,
wondrous Shelita Buffet.
And we are like,
"Damn, you look amazing."
- We were there for so long.
- Thank you.
Do you know what a drag queen is?
So I've just learnt
what a drag queen is. I didn't know.
I thought it was a sheila.
I didn't put two and two together.
I just thought,
"Oh, you're fancy dressed out here."
- Mate
- Big Big girl.
I've had some big 'uns in my time
but Oh, mate.
..she would have topped it.
Just makes me want to vomit,
looking at this.
I don't know what it is.
It's this green, sludgy, goopy mix
that looked like someone just
cleaned a drain in the toilet with
and then filled up
this leather high heel boot with it,
like two litres of it.
Go, go, just start drinking.
"Finish the entire drink
or a new one will be poured
"and you will have to start again.
"You must fully swallow all liquid."
- Good luck, boys!
- Thank you.
Mate,
whatever that was, it was putrid.
Don't smell it, just drink it.
Don't spew in it. Just drink it.
Drink it. Drink it. You can do it.
I feel like I'm going to vomit.
Down it!
Oh, my God. I'm feeling so sick.
Hurry up. Down it, down it, down it!
Come on.
Brendon and Jackson
are making some weird noises.
- Oh, mate.
- Come on, bro.
That's it. You can do it.
You can do it.
You've got to scull it, bro, come on.
It is all pretty repulsive.
I feel like I'm going to vomit.
To show that you've finished
the high heel,
you have to hold the empty shoe
above your head.
OK, it's empty.
Thank you.
Come on, just get one more mouthful!
Don't smell it.
Wait, why is she filling it again?
Oh, my god. We have to do two of them.
- What?
- One each.
- Yeah, come on.
- You're kidding me.
- Grab another one.
- Come on.
Don't, don't, don't even do it.
Are we ready?
Down it, down it. One each.
- You're kidding me.
- Grab another one.
Come on.
We had to do a shoey
with an unidentified liquid
out of a fabulous boot.
Come on.
Don't, don't, don't even do it.
You can do it.
Ashleigh looked like death.
Jackson's also vomiting.
Oh, mate.
Stop being so weak!
Come on, bro. Get it down.
So basically it was Brendon and I
doing the shoey.
It's all done, it's all done,
it's all done.
Oh, no, it's not.
OK. Yeah, it's all done, babe.
- Thank you so much!
- Thank you!
Let's go. Thank you, thank you.
You look amazing.
Yoo!
"Route info - make your way on foot
to the Mad Max Museum
"to find Beau at the pit stop."
Just up the road
past the John Dynon Gallery
is the local museum which celebrates
another iconic Aussie movie.
In 1981, the dusty town of Silverton
was the feature location
for Mad Max 2.
And the Mad Max Museum,
where I'm standing right now,
is the Pit Stop for the 22nd leg
of The Amazing Race Australia.
- OK, let's go.
- Quick, quick, quick.
Lollipops, strawberries, yum,
all the good stuff.
- What is in it?
- That's it.
Come on, you can do it.
I was like, "Mate,
I am struggling bad with this."
As soon as it got inside a little bit,
I threw up straightaway in the bin.
You're going to have to help me,
dude. I can't do it on my own.
Do one more and I'll finish it off.
I knew we were sitting
in second place at that point,
so I was like, "Come on.
We've got to get it down."
I wasn't even thinking about it.
That's it.
Moral of the story, don't ever
accept a drink from a drag queen.
No, especially in a high heel boot.
Thank you.
"Make your way on foot
to the Mad Max Museum
"to find Beau at the Pit Stop.
"Hurry, the last team to arrive
may be eliminated."
- What about this one?
- No, no, that's not a push bike.
- OK.
- 16, 17.
104, 105, 106
- That's it. I think that's good.
- Did we miss any?
- No, those are done.
- Three, OK.
Are there any that we've missed,
like, out a bit?
Oh, do you think
Do you think that one's in?
- Oh, babe.
- Let's go.
- No.
- No? Dammit.
Lets do it again.
Let's do it again, OK?
Shall we go the other way around?
OK, so 107?
- Yeah.
- Yeah?
We saw the Sikhs struggling
to get the right answer.
- Mm-hm. Yeah.
- Why is that not a wheel?
We knew if we could get
this done faster than them
we wouldn't be in last place.
Hello, sir. 107.
- Yes! Thank you so much.
- Thank you very much.
Thank you.
Love your place, have a good one!
Have a good one.
"Make your way to Silverton pub."
"Drink from some fabulous
footwear to receive your next clue."
We have overcome so much,
done more legs than any other team.
We've had three Sabotages,
huge penalties,
but we're fighters
and we'll stay in it.
Jesus, Jesus, Jesus. Oh, my God!
This way. This way. This way.
Baby, where are you going?
- That could be a pub. But there's flags.
- This way! Baby, this way.
- Mad Max Museum is that way!
- Yeah!
Aleisha, that's not the pub!
It could be, baby.
That could be a pub.
..10, 11
Guys, guys!
- Oh! Girls!
- Help us out.
- Girls! Wait, wait, wait!
- Wait, wait, wait!
107.107.
- Oh, they're telling them!
- For sake!
Alright. Come on.
Our alliance with the Sikhs
has always been strong since early on.
We promised them a long time ago
that we would help them out
when we can
and they were to help us out
and that we would never U-Turn
each other
or would never cross each other.
- I saw flags over there, see?
- Oh, that's the hotel.
Thank you! Let's go. Let's go.
Today the girls
told us the answer.
'Cause there's been
so many circumstances
when we've gone out of our way
to help everybody else,
and Amanda and Ashleigh
have clearly seen that.
Just read.
"Make your way on foot
to the Silverton pub.
"You must each scull a drink
from some fabulous footwear
- "to receive your next clue."
- Let's go.
We knew we were still last
but we can beat Chris and Aleisha
in a foot race.
This one's closer!
There's flags here too!
Chris and Aleisha,
they were fighting each other,
and we just legged it.
Keep going. Keep going.
It's game on. It's do or die,
right here, right now.
If we don't give it all,
we will be going home.
- Aleisha, please come on!
- No!
Aleisha, please, come on!
I can't, baby. I can't.
I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry!
- Go, go, go, go.
- Keep going, keep going!
Hey, there.
We overtook Chris and Aleisha
right at the door,
which meant
we'd get served the drink first.
Can we have a beer, please?
- They cheated, they told
- I know.
Don't worry about that, baby.
We can still catch up.
- No, we can't!
- I know it's not fair but we can catch up.
We've got to finish it all.
Don't smell the liquid.
Just got to empty your mouth.
I couldn't care how it looked,
I couldn't care how it smelt,
I couldn't care how it tasted,
that adrenaline had kicked in.
Come on, Jas. Finish it, finish it.
If I drink this, I get to move on.
If I don't drink this, I'm going home.
- Whatever it is, I'm drinking it.
- Well done, well done. You're done.
Keep going, you can do it.
Keep going. Swallow it up.
- We've got to run after this.
- You've got this, bro.
Swallow it down.
Do you want some water?
Do you want some water?
OK, thank you.
Mad Max Museum's that way.
Oh, I see the flags!
- This is it. This is top three, bro.
- I see it. I see it.
- This is top three.
- Yeah.
Adrian, if you could pick one item,
just one, that you are most proud of
in the museum, what would it be?
That is a really difficult question
but it would have to be the boomerang.
The boomerang?
The aluminium boomerang
that the Feral Kid had.
It is so iconic.
That's probably the one
that I would pick, I think so.
Come on, bro. Come on! Top three!
Come on, babe. Push, push, push.
Remember what we're here for.
Push yourself!
Yes, yes!
- Welcome to Silverton.
- Thank you!
Ashleigh and Amanda,
you are the first team to check-in!
We have won eight legs
in The Amazing Race,
which is such an awesome achievement.
You have also won an escape
to the Shangri-La Hotel in Cairns
in a Horizon Suite
thanks to 10traveller.com
and, of course,
Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts.
- Amazing!
- Fancy!
One step closer to 250 grand.
Well done, girls. Super impressive.
I'll see you soon.
Welcome to the final three.
- Thank you, Beau.
- Thanks, Beau. - Good job.
Brendon and Jackson,
you are the second team to check-in.
And boys you are in the final three.
- Yeah, buddy.
- Told you!
How do you feel, man?
- Top of the world now.
- That was a big day.
- We went from first to fourth
- Back up.
..from a taxi and
We had to push today.
We had to push deep.
Today was a good day.
We struggled
but we knew we had to chase.
We just kept lapping them up,
the challenges. It's what we do.
Top three is a
That's a huge accomplishment
on its own.
That's the stuff!
This is going to determine
who wants it the most.
Well done. Terrific effort.
- The race ain't done yet.
- The job's not finished yet.
It's nothing.
It's just like chutney.
We knew it was on.
We knew all of a sudden
we had caught up a place,
we were not in the last position
and potentially not going home.
You've got this, bro. Keep going.
We did not want to let this one
slip out of our hands.
We know Chris,
he was not going to stop,
he would gun through the shoey.
- Thank you.
- Thank you, thank you.
Let's go!
"Make your way on foot
to the Mad Max Museum
"to find Beau at the Pit Stop."
"Hurry, the last team to
arrive may be eliminated."
Let's go, let's go, let's go.
Thank you so much.
- Thank you.
- Thank you so much.
Thank you very much.
"Make your way on foot
to the Mad Max Museum
"to find Beau at the Pit Stop.
"Hurry, the last thing to arrive
may be eliminated.
- Swap. I'll take your bag.
- Yeah.
- Where's Aleisha? Are they behind us?
- Keep going, keep going.
- There's the flags!
- Keep going. A little bit further.
- Let's run, let's run.
- Quick.
Don't slow down.
Welcome to Silverton.
- Thank you.
- Thank you.
Jaskirat and Anurag,
you are the third team to check-in.
You're in the final three.
Alright, boys, go and get the dust
off your face, and I'll see you soon.
- Well done. - Thanks, Beau.
- Thanks, Beau.
They told each other.
It's all good, darling,
take your time.
Come on, Aleisha.
Come on. Stand up.
Chris and Aleisha,
you are the last team to check-in.
And you're eliminated.
It wasn't a fair fight.
Just furious.
You know, it's not just
how physical you are, or mental.
The race is strategy as well.
You guys gave it everything and more.
And you're still carrying her bag.
Unfortunately, guys, time is over.
The race is so much tougher
than I thought it would be.
This is 10 times harder
than I ever imagined it would be.
Oh, my God!
But Aleisha's a great race partner.
Whoo-hoo!
She has been running side-by-side
with really strong guys and girls
Yes! We've got this, baby!
..and she's been holding her own.
- I'm so proud of you, baby.
- I did it!
Chris is awesome.
He knows when to push me
Good job, baby. Keep going!
..and when to have a great time
and laugh it out
Oh, this is going to be
in my dreams for the next year.
..and he carried us a lot
through this race.
I love you, baby. I love you!
So I owe all these legs
to this guy right here.
- I love you.
- Yeah, you too.
Next time
on The Amazing Race Australia
A 10-metre leap of faith
through flame bars.
..out final three teams
get fired up
Go, buddy!
That was sick!
..in the big smoke.
The Sikhs are definitely
our biggest threat
because Sydney's their hometown.
And in the race's penultimate leg
We know once it's game on,
there's no friends.
..the alliance is over
- Oh, my God!
- It was on like Donkey Kong.
Sikhs are there!
..as all three teams
fight to be in the finale.
You are the last team to check-in.
