Go!
..10 teams began the epic
global adventure in Melbourne.
Stop! Boot's open.
It's started! It's started!
Their first clue
sent them to Morocco,
where they tackled things head on.
Oh, my lashes!
Some teams tasted victory.
Oh, my God!
Kelly and Georgia
..you are the first team to check in.
Oh, I'm so proud of you.
Others worked together
Thinking king is the lion?
Yes, that makes sense!
But our dad and daughter
unravelled
Oh, my God! Get it off me!
Paul and Rachel,
you are the last team to check in.
..and were first to be eliminated.
I expected the race
to be hard.
But it's so much harder.
Tonight, we're in Sydney
and I'm on my way to meet
the 10 fresh race-hungry teams
who have got absolutely no idea
that the Amazing Race Australia
has already begun.
In a world-first
The team just jumped in our cab.
Hey, hey!
..10 brand-new teams
head to Marrakech.
The sights
..the sounds
..the smells
Oh, my God! Yuck!
Ugh!
Smell like your farts.
..and the challenges.
I can't do it.
Who would've thought a lemon
could be so dangerous?
This is the Amazing Race Australia.
Let's meet the teams!
Perfect conditions.
Welcome, teams, to Sydney!
Now, as you all know,
international borders
have been shut
for the last two years,
but let me tell you,
it's time to get back out.
Being Perth blokes, we've been
trapped in Western Australia
for the last two years.
Getting out and about
doing what we both love,
which is travel, is so exciting.
Out of the thousands and thousands
of people who applied,
YOU are the lucky 10 teams
who are about to embark
on the adventure of a lifetime.
After the last
two years with COVID,
we're both on this
for the same reason -
to create lasting memories
and adventures.
This year's winners
will take home the biggest prize
in Amazing Race Australia history,
a whopping 250 grand cash!
And one of you will get the keys
to an Isuzu D-MAX
and the other will drive away
in an Isuzu MU-X.
Wow!
Oh, my God!
It's on.
Shotgun the SUV.
Does that make you that little bit
hungrier for the win or what?
Kathy and Chace, what strategy
do you think you guys will have?
We'll play nice when we can.
Otherwise, any man's game.
That's what I like to hear.
Lauren and Steph,
our first cop couple.
How's that gonna help you guys
on the race?
We hope our communication skills
come in handy here.
Like, we're pretty good at
negotiating with every situation.
Did you sneak a taser in?
And some other accoutrements.
- You ready to get down to business?
- Yoo! Yeah! Let's go!
Your first clue is on top of
your backpack right in front of you.
Race hard. But above all, race safe.
Three, two, one, go!
Go, go, go!
Seeing new places, I'm so excited!
This way, this way, this way!
What is it?
Route Info.
Fly to Marrakech, Morocco!
Marrakech in Morocco,
known as the Red City.
Famous for its medieval medinas
and exotic souks,
it's a city of arts and culture
surrounded by mountains and desert.
Oh, my God!
To Marrakech, Morocco.
We've never been.
It's been on our wish list.
Let's go!
This way, this way!
This way!
Taxi!
Yeah!
Hello.
Hi, sir.
We're going to the International
Airport. We're in a race.
Your most enthusiastic driving
within the rules.
Within the rules.
We're police officers.
She's my partner on and off duty.
We got together during COVID.
We actually haven't
been able to travel
internationally together at all.
Just a casual first
international holiday.
It's on!
I want to experience everything
that life has to offer.
When I first met Heath,
I got the horrendous news
that I had breast cancer
and that I'd need the whole
mastectomy, chemo, radiation.
It was kind of good for a while.
Like, all clear.
And, yeah, I went to get
more scans and it was
..it was back with a vengeance.
So now I have terminal cancer.
I'm fit, well enough,
my oncologist's given the tick
of approval and I'm gonna
I'm gonna go out there
and give it my all.
Morocco!
Morocco, baby!
How do you even say that?
Where are we going in Morocco?
'Marrakeck'.
'Marrakeck'.
MarrakMarrak 'Marraketch'?
I don't know.
You know, when I was 10 and 11,
I didn't even speak English.
Yeah. We're both from remote
communities in Northern Territory.
So we had to learn English.
From Tiwi Island, Elcho Island,
to Morocco.
Heavenly Father, we just
thank you for this day, Lord.
Yes, Lord. Thank you, Lord.
We thank you that we're here today.
Amen.
Amen. Let's get it.
This isn't a two-man team.
We are a three-man team.
And, like, Jesus is in this with us.
I think we might be
the last ones in the taxi.
We're here. 'Bye, Sydney.
Whoo!
Thank you.
Thank you.
Let's go!
Departures. Let's go!
'Bye.
Oh, my God. Marrakech.
Come on! Let's bring it on!
All 10 teams
are now on a 30-hour flight
to Marrakech, Morocco.
Go, go, go, go! Sorry.
Let's go!
Come on, Frankie!
Let's go! Let's go!
Come, come, come, come, come!
This one here.
Oh! Oh!
Come here. You go.
Oh, shit. Go, go, go, go!
Bonjour.
Bonjour.
Are we the first one out of the
I think we are the first one out.
We were literally
the first to the cab
and the pink team
just jumped in our cab.
Could you please take us
to Jemaa el-Fnaa?
All 10 teams
are now racing by taxi
to the medieval Kutubiyya Mosque,
opposite Jemaa el-Fnaa Square,
Marrakech's largest 24-hour market,
where they'll find their next clue.
It still hasn't kicked in
that we're on this show
and we're in a different country.
My family background is Palestinian.
And I come from
a big Lebanese family.
So we both speak Arabic pretty well.
Yeah.
Just in general, I think being able
to ask the locals for some help
around there will be an advantage.
- Oh, my God.
- There's a puddle!
This way!
Oh, my God. I see a flag!
Where?
Right in front of us.
Leg it! But don't eat shit.
Let's go, bro!
We were like, "You know what?
"Let's just take this moment
to appreciate where we are."
Marrakech, Morocco.
Oh, look at this, bro!
I know. Look at the horses here,
man. It's unreal, man.
Shukran. Thank you.
Thank you. 'Bye.
Where is it?
Let's go.
That way!
OK! Run! Let's go!
Thank you.
Oh, my goodness.
I can't see a thing.
My glasses are all rained on.
Right there!
Oi, Sam, here!
Oh, my God!
- We found the clue!
- Yeah!
- OK.
- Route Info.
Moroccan pottery
is regional and unique.
Native Berber tribes still use the
same traditional red-clay techniques
that date back to the 5th century BC.
In this challenge, teams
need to stack a market cart
with 40 pieces of local pottery.
Then following the flags' path,
they'll steer it through
the narrow souk alleyways,
deliver their load
to the marked pottery shop
and once counted,
they'll receive their next clue.
OK, OK. We've got to get
40 pieces on here.
I don't think 40 pieces
are gonna fit.
40 pieces. We're gonna
have to make them fit.
It's a bit wet.
It is a bit wet, this one.
"Manoeuvre the carts
through the market."
"Deliver all pieces undamaged
to receive your next clue."
Let's go. Come on.
Oh, look. Is that a clue?
No, that's an arrow.
So I reckon it's in those pile
of bricks there somewhere.
No, not in the bricks, in the shops.
Let's have a look
if you see another flag.
Put the heavier ones up here
so we can balance the rest.
Two. Two at a time. Two. Load 'em on
as carefully as possible.
Here, let's turn them upside down.
How about that?
OK. Now we've got it. We've got it.
Alright.
Awesome.
Thank you. Shukran.
Where's the flag?
Right there on the left.
Thank you.
Go, go, go! The girls are out.
Thank you, sir.
Lil.
What?
Look at that.
Oh, monkey.
So cool!
Go, go, go, go, go, go! Come on!
OK, I see, I see.
Oh, there, there, there.
I see it, I see it.
Thank you, sir.
Thank you, mate.
Thanks, mate.
Let's go. Let's go.
Damn, it's slippery. Watch out.
Oh, my Lord, this weather!
Shoes were drenched, socks were wet.
The Mullets weren't looking
as hot as they usually do.
There.
Oh, on the thing.
OK.
Here's the clue.
So wet!
"Carefully manoeuvre the cart"
"..while carrying
40 pieces of pottery"
"..to the flag shop."
Alright, let's go.
Go, go, go!
Let's go, let's go!
I think we should just go with this
and then come back for the rest.
The clue said 40 pieces so I thought
it would be smart to load it with 20,
get down there,
find the shop and come back.
There. Go!
Reem, don't break a pot.
I'm not looking,
I'm just following you.
We're going to the marked flag
which is directly down there.
38, 39, 40. Boom!
OK, let's go, let's go, let's go.
Go at a steady pace, steady pace.
Talk to me if you need.
Maybe the little ones
on the bottom, Tones,
and put the big ones on top.
Do all of these on the outside first.
Alright.
Quickly, the other teams
are way ahead of us.
OK, who's got our clue?
There's one here, one here. Cool.
Is it onjust on the end?
Oh, yeah. OK. Alright.
Alright.
Oh, nice rip.
"Carefully manoeuvre the carts
through the market
"while carrying
40 pieces of pottery."
Let's go.
So bits that you can hang.
Hang on. I'm gonna have to hold it.
Big ones in the middle?
So 40 pieces.
Count whilst I load it.
Yep.
Oh, please, clue, pop out at us.
Oh, look, a doggie. Aww. How cute.
Oh, he is beautiful.
We get distracted by nature
all the time.
We just love animals.
Hello, puss-puss.
Aww! Hello.
Hello, gorgeous.
We're vegan buddies.
We met at an animal activist rally.
We want to win The Amazing Race
because we want to win the money
and donate to animal sanctuaries.
Here, Brenda, here's the next one.
We're getting warmer, Anja.
Straight, straight, straight.
We got Are we close?
We'll ask them, "Is this
where we're meant to deliver?"
They're like, "Yes, yes, come in."
And they're trying to sell slippers.
Do you know where
there's a red-and-yellow flag?
Yes.
Where?
No, no, not here.
Thank you.
Oh, my God!
Oh, down here. Oh, lovely.
Is that a clue?
Maybe in here? No.
Be careful. It won't be in there.
There's a carpet right there.
There you go. Rolled-up rugs.
It's right there.
The German people are here already.
Hello.
How many did you get?
How many vases did you bring?
Vases?
Yeah.
You needyou need
Did you get your clue?
No, we didn't.
Go get your clue!
Where is it? We have been looking.
On the carts. Did you see the carts?
I don't know how to explain it
to you but it's back that way.
Oh, my God. Oh!
We've gotta come back here.
Yeah. Oh, look, the dog.
It's so cute, no?
Oh, little doggie.
""You may take one of
the rolled-up rugs laid on the floor
"and unload your pottery.
"If you're missing any pottery,
you must put all the"
Are we not allowed
to put some at a time?
Oh, I told you! You have to
get them all at once.
We were meant to have 40 pieces
on this cart.
Yeah, my heart dropped
at that point.
Alright, it's OK. We'll go back.
Hey!
Hey!
Hello, hello. How'd youse go?
Did you get 40 almost?
No.
Oh.
Boom! There we are, bro.
- Hello, hello.
- Hello.
Grab the rug, you're gonna have to
spread it out, chuck it all in.
Our strategy
going to the pot challenge
was just all about just steadiness.
"Place it as neatly as possible."
Good work, Stu.
And making sure we don't just miss
a step and smash all the pots.
39. 40.
Good work, bro!
Proud of you, bro.
This is good teamwork, man.
Good communication. I liked it.
He eats strategies for breakfast,
this guy.
Slow and steady wins the race.
You know, the turtle.
Oh, awesome. Thank you, brother.
Thank you very much.
First one to get the clue.
Yeah.
Let's go!
Bud!
Eh! Boom!
Eh!
What's this, bro?
Oh, what's this one? OK. Detour.
A Detour is a choice
between two challenges,
each with its own pros and cons.
In this Detour, teams must choose
between Dash or Splash.
Teams that choose Dash must
make their way to Lantern Alley.
Amongst the hundreds and hundreds
of lanterns,
they must identify the four
that are flashing Morse code.
They'll then use their guide sheet
to decipher the code
and if the lamp guy gives them
the thumbs up,
they'll receive their next clue.
Seems enlightening.
Dash. Dot. Dot, dot, dash.
And the second Detour
is also a tricky code to crack
'cause these water sellers
are not what they appear.
Teams that choose Splash
must locate six of Marrakech's
famous water sellers
in the main square
wearing red-and-yellow tassels.
And dressed in colourful costumes,
they've sold water to
weary travellers for centuries.
They must then count all the brass
cups on six different water sellers,
add together the total number of cups
and give them the correct number
to receive their next clue.
I'm not too sure if this is
more complicated than that.
I reckon we'll count the, um, cups.
OK, so we're doing Splash.
Yep.
Alright, then, let's go.
34, 35, 36, 37, 30
Oh, no.
What's happening?
What?
This whole side.
I did that, didn't I?
Oh, man, I don't know.
Let's go.
Just slowly does it, Tones.
There's a flag over there.
OK. Let's go, babe.
Slowly does it.
Just stacking the cart,
we made up some good ground.
We did.
Slow up. Slow and steady.
Was that 40?
Yep.
Should we put one more on
to be sure?
Can we have over?
Yeah.
Yeah, OK.
Oh.
Course I grab the heaviest one.
Let's go a bit faster.
But not too fast.
Frankie, Frankie, stop, stop, stop.
You're pushing too fast.
Keep going. We're just skipping
ahead of these guys.
Man, how did those girls
get in front of us?
Go, to get past.
Yeah, I'm going.
so we started to overtake
some people.
So, like, "Alright,
this is exciting. We can do this."
Yeow!
You're doing great, guys.
Tones, stop, stop, stop, stop.
Come on then.
Yeah, right there.
You hold on and I'll lay it out.
Yeah, watch this ditch.
I can't believe we've done this.
Quickie quick.
Hold it while I grab the carpet.
Quickly, Frankie.
We meant to put our hand up, Lil?
Yeah.
Hello.
How'd we do?
I really hope this is right.
No?
Oh, no.
Told you we should have counted.
We did count it.
We're gonna be in dead last.
No more lead.
Go, go, go, babe. Two more.
Put your hand up.
Come on, babe. Come on.
We are both fiercely competitive.
That's gonna help us hopefully have
a little bit of success.
Thank you so much. Thank you.
Detour.
Detour.
Splash or Dash?
Splash.
Splash. Yep. Let's go.
38, 39, 40. Check, please.
Yeow! Yes.
Hallelujah. The Lord is good.
Thank you. Oh, my gosh. Yes.
Nice rip, nice rip. Let's go.
Better than yours.
Grr.
Detour.
Which one do you want to do?
I wanna do Splash.
OK, let's go.
Get more hooky ones
to hang off the hooks.
Yep.
Why are you going so slow?
Is that 40?
Two more.
We thought we'd stacked that thing,
like, nice and beautiful.
We thought we had a nice balance.
Argh!
Oh, shit!
Argh!
Oh, my God. I have to steal pots
from someone else. Quick.
Grab some of the other little ones.
Stop grabbing the big ones
from there.
Look around us. Is that 40?
Yep.
Off we go.
There's such a crowd.
Beep-beep-beep.
The marked path.
How? How much?
Not for sale, sir.
No, delivering.
We should be selling them
to get leg money.
Hello. Pots. Pots. Pots. Pots.
Harry Potter?
Harry Potter. I am dead.
Let's go find the flag shop, babes.
We just take it slow, take it slow.
Be careful. Watch the hanging ones.
Flag up ahead.
Keep pushing. We gotta stay
in front of the boys.
True. Alright.
Come, you need to push.
No, not down.
Just push it towards me.
The pot was at head height,
so I had no vision.
I was on me tippy-toes
trying to push up this hill.
Good. You tell me if
any traffic's coming on?
Just keep going.
Growing up in Rockingham, Perth,
Western Australia,
we always were best mates
and proud Rocko boys.
It's known as a bogan town.
Stu fits it well with his mullet.
But that's who we are.
I think if you google
"two Australian blokes",
us two will pop up.
We're getting overtaken.
How we going, boys?
We've already smashed half our pots.
Really?
Yes! Put a bucket underneath it.
This is the second load.
This is our time to catch up.
So these boys coming up fast.
Hello.
Sorry, boys, we're not moving
as quick as you.
We're in a race
at the end of the day.
Beep-beep, quick. Toot-toot!
Oh!
Oh! Oh, Lauren, great catch.
You're a ninja.
Thanks, boo.
Ginger ninja.
Boys, that was
Sorry, girls.
Wait, wait, wait, wait.
Just one sec, one sec.
We're so lucky that none of
their pots or our pots broke
'cause that would have been
an absolute disaster.
We're here, we're here, we're here.
Oh, my God,
this is a long trek back.
To actually wheel that
the whole way again,
your arms were so sore.
Boys, can you help us?
We're in, like, last place.
OK.
OK.
We had the advantage
of knowing the language.
That helped us out a lot.
You guys are actually angels.
Very careful, yeah.
Surely
we'll be able to find a clue
unless it's in one of the pots.
What's this here?
Nothing.
Nothing in here.
Nothing, nothing, nothing.
Well, there are more pots
up there, Anja.
I'm just looking in all of them,
that's all.
Already looked. Yeah.
Have you? OK.
I can't see it. It's a big envelope.
Easy to see.
Nothing in the bucket.
Ah, Anja! Whoo! Whoo-hoo!
We found the clue. Whoo!
"Deliver all pieces undamaged
to receive your next clue."
Yeah, OK.
Yeah, put some inside here.
You sure?
Yeah, put some inside if they fit.
OK, it doesn't matter which ones. We
just gotta have 40 pieces. Oh, gosh.
Oh, my gosh, we're not
Oh, you're doing
We'rewe're still in the race.
We can still overtake them.
As long as we're not last.
That's all we can hope for.
Two, four, six, eight. 40. OK.
That's it. Done.
Check.
Whoo! Thank you. Thank you.
Merci beaucoup.
Oh, Detour.
Splash or Dash.
We had to pick between counting
and deciphering Morse code.
Want to do the Splash?
We decided to go with counting.
Is there 40 pieces here?
Yeah, this is our 40 pieces.
OK. Cool.
Hello, check.
Smashing the pots didn't
really hinder us too much.
Thank you. Thank you so much.
Thank you.
And that's 37, 38, 39, 40.
Good. Check, please.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Whoo!
Detour.
Let's do Splash.
Splash?
Splash. Let's do it.
Splash.
Splash, yeah.
Splash sounds easier.
Alright, let's go do that.
Splash, let's go.
Alright, so, this is the food
cart. Water sellers with cups, yeah?
Water sellers with cups.
We were looking for,
like, a sign on a stall.
Let's go up and down each one.
Stay. Come with me.
The famous Moroccan water sellers.
I don't know.
I don't know what is water sellers.
OK.
They can't be THAT famous.
No-one knows who they are.
"Locate the water sellers with
The Amazing Race marked tassels."
Maybe this chappie.
Chace saw the tassels on these men
walking around.
We realised,
"Oh, the water sellers are humans."
Being a French speaker,
knowing that French is one of
the official languages of Morocco,
I just wanted to really leverage
my skills here.
There's a team there.
Oh, babe Steph. Steph!
And then the other teams who had just
finished the pottery, they came.
Look, Alex.
What are those guys doing?
And they didn't have to go through
any of the trouble
of trying to find the water cup
sellers because we did it.
Oh, are you kidding me? What?
These are the Splash people.
We ran past them so many times
Hundred million times.
..and they were
literally looking at me,
making eye contact with me,
and I was, like,
"You guys are dressed weird."
Count the total number of cups
on the water sell
Oh, they are the water sell
It's a guy.
How many are there?
How many are there?
There's so many of them.
Oh, my goodness.
I've got 15. What have you got?
Oh, 15, yeah.
15, hey?
- We ready?
- We're ready.
Thank you so much. Thank you.
Forever grateful.
Thank you!
Shall we just do Splash because
we know where the food carts are?
- Yeah, OK.
- Let's go.
We need that one over there.
Make sure it's nothing broken
as well.
Two, three
The girls are still in the race
as well as us, Anja, so just
We'll keep on trying.
They're about to go,
so we need to get a hustle on.
OK, got everything?
Yep.
Just as long as they don't pass us,
we're OK.
You ready?
I've got it, yep.
OK.
There's a flag up there.
We'll keep going.
Thank you!
It was actually quite fun
pushing the cart
through all the little alleyways.
Oh, look! A little kitty cat.
Aww!
Nearly there, Lil.
We're so close.
We're so close.
I can't wait to see the pottery man.
Thank you! Thank you very much.
So, we've got 40. Now we just
need to get the lids going.
Now, this is a fun game.
Oh, yes!
We're really gonna learn a lot
from this.
Alright, Detour.
Alright, let's do Splash.
Splash?
Let's go.
Thisthis map is ridiculous, bro.
It's notnot the best one.
No, it's not.
We were just going in circles.
We were literally going in circles.
Boys, are you looking for
the water sellers?
Are you guys trying to look too?
We're looking for the water sellers.
Let's work together, then.
Yeah, right, let's work together.
I think these are the sellers!
OK, count, bro.
Count, count, count, count.
Get your pen and paper!
11. 11! That's 11!
There was just so many
other teams there.
14?
I couldn't even count properly
'cause I was so bothered by
the other teams there, you know?
I was, like, "Damn!"
Sorry, bro.
8, 9, 10, 11. 11?
I've got 9.
Stop, stop. Going crazy, right.
We both need to have a description
of the person
so that we don't count them twice.
As lawyers, we're very attentive to
detail and that's our specialty.
What could go wrong?
It's easy!
C'est bon? C'est bon?
It went wrong.
12 for that guy. 12.
12?
That's 13.
Plus 12.
Plus 12.
So, write 56.
No, OK. Alright.
We thought this would be way easier,
which it was not.
It absolutely was not, was it?
No.
One, two, three, four,
five, six, seven. Seven.
13. 7.
Yes, Toni!
Thank you so much, my friend!
Thank you!
So, at this point, we didn't know
where we were coming,
but we felt like we were
in a good position.
Yep.
Road Block.
Who is best in a pickle?
Oh.
Far out.
A Road Block is a challenge
that only one team member must
complete based on a cryptic clue.
Preserved lemons are
a common condiment here in Morocco
and they vary on taste depending on
how long they've been pickled.
In this challenge, one member
from each team must come here
and eat three pickled lemons each,
varying in age of preservation -
six months, one year
and two years old.
They must consume
all the lemon pieces on the plate
before receiving their next clue,
but first they must head to the Hotel
Cecil to sign up for the challenge.
First teams on the board will get
a time advantage in the morning.
Alright, I'll do it. Let's do it.
OK. Use your map.
"Make your way to Riad Hotel Cecil
"to sign up for
tomorrow's challenge."
Let's go.
Yay! Yay!
Yes?
Thank you!
Let's go!
Who's best in a pickle?
You. Do you wanna do it?
I'll do it.
You're good at eating ones.
Let's go.
Alright, let's go.
Where's Riad Hotel?
71?
Yep.
Hey, hey!
Let's go!
Thank you. Thank you.
Road Block. Oh, baby.
You got this one, eh?
I've got it.
Let's go. Where is it?
Alright. 71.
Yes! Thank you!
Thank you. Cheers.
Thank you.
72 or 73?
We kept getting it wrong.
And then all these teams
were just going past us.
Yeah!
Thank you so much!
Thank you!
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Oh, yeah, that's gold. Thank you.
OK, here we go.
- Road Block. Who's best in a pickle?
- What's that mean?
I don't know. Who's best
in a pickle out of me and you?
It's eating pickles. I'll do it.
I'll do it. I'll do it.
You can go. Let's go.
Me?
Are you doing it?
I'll do it.
Alright.
Scissors, paper, rock.
You're better in a pickle.
And where's the hotel?
So, if the Riad Hotel's here,
we're here.
This way.
Let's go.
Through here.
Mask on.
Oh, Tones, we're number one.
I don't know how.
When we walked in and saw that
no-one had signed up on that board,
it was a great feeling.
It was wonderful.
Oh, my God, we can sleep.
High five.
The challenge
was very frustrating
because maybe three, four teams
went past us.
And we were still trying to, like,
figure it out.
Oh, my God!
You're the second here!
Are you kidding?
Yeah!
Oh, my God! Oh!
Oh, my gosh, we're second!
Yeah, baby!
Whoo!
We made it.
Boom!
Boom. The fourth one.
We were, like, "Oh, OK, not bad."
Oh, my God, we're here.
Hello, guys!
One, two, three, four, five.
We're fifth. That's decent.
Are all the other teams here?
No, you're the sixth team.
Wow.
So, there's teams still out there?
Chace, this is what I'm saying.
Look at the hats they're wearing.
We'll write down the colour.
They all have
different coloured hats on.
73, 72.
Thank you!
Merci.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Who's the best in a pickle? You are.
Alright, it's me.
You OK to do it? You OK?
Yeah, OK. I'm doing it.
We saw, like,
the necklaces,
so, then we're, like,
"Alright, we've got this."
Is that 11?
Yeah.
They were just ringing their bells
and they were crossing paths.
Just not stopping,
like, fully switching spots,
like, literally, like, so quick.
Four, five, six.
Yeah, yeah. Yeah.
Yay!
Thank you so much!
Thank you!
Oh! How was that rip?!
Road Block.
Alrighty, who's best in a pickle?
You.
OK, me.
Riad
There.
"Make your way on foot
to Hotel Cecil."
Kathy, it's here.
We found it. We found it.
Thank you.
It said to sign up for
tomorrow's challenge.
- Yep, yep, yep, yep, yep.
- Yep.
We were crushed to be eighth.
Try and make up some time tomorrow.
OK, never mind.
Good job.
Lil, we're not last!
- Oh!
- Are you a water seller?
There was only one water seller
and all the rest must have gone home.
Hello. How are you? Good?
Because our time had run out,
we didn't even count his cups.
Thank you very much.
We knew that we'd have to take
a time penalty the next morning,
but it was just too late.
Who's best in a pickle?
You will be best in a pickle.
Yeah, OK, I'm gonna do the pickle.
We thought,
well, another night, another day.
We'll just smash it out.
Oh! Crazy!
Hello. How are you?
When we saw everyone had put their
names down, every single person,
it was disappointing.
I didn't have my coffee.
It really sucks.
It's a brand-new day
and a brand-new challenge.
Teams will head to
the Lemon Pickle Souk,
leaving in four separate groups
based on the order they arrived
at the hotel.
Let's go, guys.
There was only five minutes
between each group
leaving that hotel,
so we only had five minutes
to find that challenge
And try and smash it out
before anyone could arrive.
Let's go this way.
Here, Tones.
Let's look. Oh, lemons! Over there.
Alright, left, left.
I have a feeling it's down here.
Hello, sir.
Can I please have
a plate of lemons?
Give me your bag.
Thank you very much.
Get some space, babe.
Thank you.
I'll hold. I'll hold.
Good luck, Angel. You can do it.
Thank you.
True, it smells lovely. Hello.
The challenge was eating
three pickled lemons.
I've got a weak stomach,
so I was a bit concerned with what
these pickled lemons were gonna be.
Six months.
Chew. Chew. Alright?
Think happy thoughts.
Onya, babe. Onya.
It's a biggie. Got to do all of it.
Take your time.
Close your eyes if you need to.
Think of something nice.
Peanut butter.
This is nothing like peanut butter.
What frigging good is that gonna do?
OK, and again.
Next piece. OK, babe. Well done.
Hands on hips.
What does? Does it taste?
Does it taste so rank?
It smells rank.
Chace, you set the pace. Let's go.
Let's go, babe.
Go, girl!
This is the circular thing.
Go around.
OK. Ready.
You can do it.
Three, two, one.
Mm.
I thought if I taste it,
I'm gonna gag
and I don't wanna spew.
That's making me woozy.
If you vomit, where you gonna
Five, six, seven, eight.
Ah! Mm.
Oh, you are doing so good.
Mm. It's a lot of lemon.
You can do it.
Who would have thought
a lemon could be so dangerous?
Right, hold on.
It's still in my mouth, but
Yeah.
It's alright. It's just a lemon.
It's just a nasty lemon.
Oh, my God, this is so hard.
You're nearly there.
Get the other one.
What are those?
Are those markers there?
Alright. Now
"You must eat all lemons." OK, go!
Taste good?
It was quite acidic
and a bit of a kick with zinginess.
Bro, it was more of a fly-kick, bro.
Get into it, bud.
Thank you.
Six months.
Sam, he's got
the strangest food taste.
His favourite food is
the Sambo Special.
Come on, baby.
It's a peanut butter
and raw onion sandwich.
Oh, looks nice and fresh.
How's it tasting?
Not too bad.
Quick, quick. Get it in ya.
Come on, brother. Get it in ya!
So, lemon, that's a walk
in the park, I reckon.
Smash it, Frankie. Smash it.
"Lemons must be consumed
one segment at a time."
You've got to straight swallow.
Just straight swallow.
Don't think about it.
Just take two bites out of it
and swallow.
Oh, my God. Eugh!
It's just another Monday
in Morocco, bro.
Another Monday in Morocco.
It's what we do.
That's what it is. You got this.
Oh-ho-ho!
You got this. It's nothing.
Look. Look, they're struggling.
They're struggling
It's the worst thing.
Smell it. Smell it.
Yeah, it's festy. It's festy,
but just think happy thoughts, babe.
Get it down you. Come on.
Oh, that lemon, it was, like,
sucking the saliva out of my mouth.
Oh, man!
That's some kinky stuff, wasn't it?
Yeah. You've got this, Tubby.
Look at her go.
Oh, the taste is nasty.
OK.
Oh, Christ.
Just chew it.
You can do it.
Oh, my gosh.
You are doing so good.
Oh!
No, you can't help me.
Oh, my God! Yes! Yay!
Well done, boys!
Ah! Is that alright?
Beautiful.
We've got the clue!
Yeah, Sammy! Come on, let's go.
Let's go.
Good girl! Yes, Tubby.
Judge!
Yes!
Give me water! Give me water!
Oh! Give me water!
Here we go. Route Info.
Oh, what a shocking rip.
Alright, Crystal. You drink water.
It's a Route Info.
One of the oldest trades in Morocco
is the processing of leather.
Hides are soaked in cow urine,
quicklime and water,
then cleaned with pigeon poo.
It's disgusting.
In this challenge, our teams
have to locate a tannery worker
who'll direct them
to a hole to sit in.
They'll then de-fur five hides
and lay them out in the sun to dry.
When they've done that correctly,
they'll receive their next clue.
I know what my missus
is getting for Christmas.
Apparently the only thing
that takes this smell away is mint.
Lucky I carry mint everywhere.
You've got this.
Oh, Tones, I'm sorry.
I just need to do this slowly.
I know, but OK.
You can't rush me
'cause I'm gonna throw it up.
There's more teams here.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Good God.
Just swallow this.
Yeah.
We were the last team out.
We didn't finish
the water seller challenge
and we've had to take
the time penalty.
Where is it?
Lemons, lemons, lemons.
Do you know where the tannery is?
Tannery this way.
Thank you!
Thank you!
I hope they're sending us
the right way.
Oh, it's so pretty through here.
We'd overtaken Toni and Heath,
and I felt a bit bad for them,
actually,
but it is a race.
It just all started coming out.
I just couldn't do it.
You got it. You got it.
And the seeds, yeah.
Last one. Just take two bites
out of it and swallow.
I don't like the look of this one.
Don't look at it.
Ugh!
Just
Eugh!
Just do one bite.
I took, like, one little,
like, nibble, 'cause
I just wanted to taste it.
And then we're gonna suss
the rest of these things.
You got it. You got it.
Oh, yuck.
Swallow it. Yes. That's it.
Don't bring it up. Don't bring it up.
Eugh!
Don't bring it up.
You got it, you got it, you got it.
You got this. I'm like,
"Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes."
Eugh!
Swallow it whole.
Here we go.
Ready?
Yeah!
I'm glad I gave him that one.
Done it.
OK, get your plate.
And go and see the man.
Thank you.
You did so good. I'm so proud of you.
Let's go, let's go.
Well done, Heath, well done.
Eugh!
Right.
"Make your way
to Tannery Dar Dbagh Lakbira.
"Using the local method"
"Remove the fur from five goat hides
to receive your next clue."
OK, let's go.
OK, let's go this way. Go!
Eugh! Eugh.
Let's go.
Oh, wow,
look at all the Dior bags.
Oh, cute!
It's hard to find a marked arrow
when there's Christian Dior bags
in front of me!
Alright. Watch your step.
Go straight, straight!
Get in front of these guys.
Sorry, ladies.
Sorry, on your left.
OK, OK, the arrow's
The arrow's going straight.
The orange team, they were
that quick, wewe lost them.
Very fast, orange team.
That market square is like a maze.
Go, go. It's got the arrow.
You could easily go
from first place to last place
if you take a wrong turn.
Left, left, left, left, left!
Keep on going, keep on going.
Oop.
No flags at all.
Come this way.
We've already been that way.
Yeah?
Yeah.
Any flags around?
Look out for paths, yeah?
You got this, Chace, you got this.
So bloody sour.
You got this. Well done.
- Oh, well done, I'm so proud of you.
- You got this.
Last one, last one.
How you going, Red?
Swallow that bad boy down.
I'll never make a lemon cheesecake
again in my life if you eat this.
No lemon desserts ever.
No lemon anything, no.
Merci beaucoup.
Thank you.
Thank you so much. Thank you.
Thank you so much.
Thank you.
Yeah, tear it. Good job.
"Make your way to the tannery"
"Remove the fur from five goat hides
to receive the next clue."
Let's go. Come on, come on.
You're doing so good.
You got this.
You got this, bro.
You're alright. You're alright.
No way.
All good?
Come on, Ange. Here, flag's here.
We're here.
Oh, it smells so bad.
It's alright.
Suck it up and push through.
It's gonna stink.
It's gonna be all of it.
Nothing's gonna stop us
from getting through.
Oh, sexy.
The smell, like, eugh!
Follow his every step.
Oh, my gosh.
So you pull it with it,
pull it up like that.
Drain it. Watch what he's doing.
Oh!
Doesn't matter, Ange, suck it up.
Everything was disgusting.
Everything.
Uh!
Pah! Puh!
Oh, this is
Oh, my God, it's real fur!
Pick it up.
It's real fur.
Oh. Crunch.
Ugh! Don't wet me!
Sorry, sorry, sorry.
Oh!
I just got stuck into it.
And I was the opposite.
The tannery. We found it.
Here. Down here.
I hope we don't have to kill
any animals.
I don't want to slaughter any goats.
I'm not in the mood
to slaughter nothing.
Ooh, they're drippin'.
Excuse me.
Oh! Whoa!
Ugh. Ugh. Ugh.
Ugh.
Oh, my God.
Breathe through your mouth.
This looks so gross. Just gotta
breathe through your mouth.
The girls
are in the same bit as you. Oh!
You alright? Yeah?
Sortin' it.
You downed it, bro! My man!
You're doing so good!
So good. No, you've got this,
you've got this.
Oh, OK, here?
Oh, thank you very much.
I really appreciate that.
A-hey!
Good work, bro.
Thank you.
Awesome, awesome.
Put it down. Come on.
Let's go.
Yay! Thank you!
Wolf it down.
Whoo!
You're dripping, you're dripping.
Uh, uh!
Whoo! Whoo-hoo-hoo!
Good on you.
I'm so bloomin' happy, I tell ya.
"Using the local method,
"soak the skin and remove the fur
from five goat hides
"to receive your next clue."
Oh, no, no.
Ohhh! OK.
I'm really pissed off
with this challenge.
OK, see any more signs?
Tannery.
Ask someone.
Hello.
We weren't confident when we were
following local directions.
Tannery.
One would say, "Go this way,"
One would say, "Go this way."
Straight down?
Speak English?
Little?
Yeah.
Yeah, I know.
Tannery.
Yeah. Where, where?
- Where?
- Yeah.
I don't know.
Oh, OK.
Holy moly.
I think I grabbed the hardest one.
No, you've just got to
get stuck into it,
like, you've got to fully pull,
like you're
Ripping someone's hair out.
Yeah.
I didn't want to be there,
full stop.
But you gotta do what you gotta do.
Eugh.
OK?
I don't know.
Can you sing a song or something,
distract me?
Eugh. Oh, my God. Eugh!
They're inside out.
Yeah.
OK. Ew!
Sorry.
Please don't flick me.
It's so slimy and slippery.
It is.
Thank God I'm not vegan.
Oh, could you imagine?
Oh, it's gonna be ho
Oh, look. Look!
Earth Cafe Vegan. How cool is that?
OK, alright.
The tannery.
Yeah, yeah.
It's in Arabic. Come on, Heath!
Yeah.
Tannery, tannery.
Where are we going?
We need a guide.
The smell of the tannery
assaulted my nostrils.
It smelt like you were in a room
with no windows
with about a hundred goats.
So we jump in?
Does not smell good.
Alright, we got a one-minute demo,
so watch, watch, watch.
At the old tannery
we jumped in some really cute boots
and PPE gear.
I've seen her with
those little wellingtons on
and one of those little gaiters.
You looked cute.
10 out of 10.
Good?
Oh, my God,
yuck, this is so gross.
Oh, this poor little goat.
Oh! You think you've done it
Is this one good, sir?
Good.
Good? Where can I put? Here?
Yeah.
Stop.
Stop. Stop, stop, stop.
Put it on, put it on. There.
Take it. Take it.
Come with.
I can't do this.
It smells so bad.
Where, here?
Where, where?
Where are we checking? Here?
Yes!
Oh, don't touch me, don't touch me!
Thank you!
Oh!
Thank you!
Whoo-hoo! Let's go.
Whoo!
To be honest, at that point,
we still didn't realise
we were in first position.
You didn't.
Did you know?
Yeah.
Yes, yes! Here we go.
Oh, you've still got fur on you.
Doesn't matter.
Yuck! Don't touch me.
Route Info.

Marrakech - known as the Red City,
it represents all that is Moroccan.
A former imperial city,
its famous palaces
and hundreds of mosques
have been at its heart for centuries.
The Koutoubia Mosque
is its most important.
Established in 1158,
it was once the country's most
popular place of Islamic worship,
and it's the sensational setting
for the Pit Stop for the second leg
of The Amazing Race Australia.
I think we're done, Kathy.
We Is it finished? Merci.
We absolutely smashed through
the five goat hides.
Six. There's six. Six.
And did an extra one.
We did an extra one.
Merci. Merci beaucoup.
Thank you. Merci!
Judge. Finish.
Five.
- Yes?
- Go!
Yes! Thank you.
Yes! Come on!
Thank you so much.
Thank you.

That's it. Yes?
Yes.
Yes? We go?
Oh, you're the best.
Looks like the girls
have got it, babe.
They got it? Alright.
Let's pick it up.
We're not far behind, babe.
We actually dealt with
the stench of the pit OK.
As police officers we're exposed
to different situations
that other people may not
ordinarily get exposed to.
- Finish. Finish. Finish.
- Finish.
Alright, let's go.
Thank you.
Don't touch it with your gloves!
Wow, who gives a shit?
- Let's go.
- Thank you!
Shukran!
Oh, thank you!
Tricky, tricky, tricky!
Thank you.
Thank you so much. Thank you.
Oh, how was that rip?

Thank you.
He's taking us so far away.
Oh!
Is there any closer?
It's just here.
OK.
Yeah!
Alright, let's go.
Must be up here, I think.
Yeah, up here.
Oh. Down here, bro.
Down here.
Oh, it stinks over here.
Let's go.
- In here.
- OK! OK.
Whoa! Good job, Sammy.
The disgusting tannery.
I know.
If I have to do it by myself,
I'll do it.
I was willing to give them a go
to get us further in the race.
There's hides up there. Oh, my God.
But I didn't expect
to feel so emotional about it.
OK, tan Yeah,
there's the other flag there.
Oh, my God!
How am I gonna do this, Anja?
I'm not doing this.
I can't do it either, Anja.
Yeah.
If it sends us home,
it sends us home.
OK.
Can't do it.
That was disgusting.
Disgusting.
I was surprised
we actually pulled through.
And sorry for splashing your face.
Oh, my gosh!
Gonna have five showers.
Tout droit?
Right, left, right, left?
Merci beaucoup.
Merci.
Whoo!
Oh, it's Angel and Frankie!
Let's go!
Ready?
Ready to make that jump.
Three, two, one, go!
Angel and Frankie,
you are the first team to check in!
Whoo-hoo-hoo-hoo!
Whoo, yes!
And, guys, you are one step closer
to winning the biggest prize
in Amazing Race Australia history.
Bless.
250 grand cash
and an Isuzu D-MAX
and an Isuzu MU-X!
Well done.
Thank you.
How do you feel?
First off, we're just fully grateful
to be here.
All glory to God, eh?
Blessed us
from the beginning to now,
and he's still providing for us
all the way through the race, and
And when we left Sydney,
we were in second-last place.
Now we're first.
We need to look at everyone
as opposition from this point on.
Rest up, recover, get your passports.
See you soon.
Come on. Good job.
Thank you.
Go that way.
Thank you.
We're not here to make friends.
Sorry, guys.
Oh, yeah!
Very proud of you.
I see Beau. I see Beau.
We ran our little butts off.
We
We bolted.
Oh, the lawyers.
Whoo!
The lawyers.
Three, two, one
Kathy and Chace
Hi, Beau.
You are the second team
to check in.
I'm so proud of us.
Why are you so emotional right now?
That was hard.
That was a tough run.
We started in seventh place
and now we're here.
Second.
Yeah.
It just makes me happy and proud.
I just can't believe it.
Well done. Bring it in.
Thank you.
Thanks, Beau.
Good job.
Hey, and it's OK to cry.
Thanks, Beau.
Thank you.
How you doing, Lill?
Whoa! I keep losing mine.
Don't think about what it is.
I know.
'Cause it'll make you cry.
Ooh, ginger one, bro.
Huh?
A ginger one.
What do we do when it's stuck, sir?
Oh, eugh! Eugh!
Sorry.
I know. I think I just got it
in my glove.
You just got it in my mouth, so
Gets you back for flicking it
in my eye before.
Oh, God.
Oh, shit.
That's the end for us.
I'm not doing it.
I know it tradition,
I know it's culture,
but I don't want to see this.
And I was hoping they wouldn't have
a challenge like this one.
I'm sorry,
we can'twe can't do this.
It's against our principles.
Not just walking the walk,
we're talking the talk.
Just can't do this, I'm so sorry.
I can't do it.
We can't do it.
No.
We stood by our convictions
and we were happy to take
the time penalty.
"Hurry, the last team to check in
will be eliminated."
Yep.
OK.
Oh, in we go!
Ooh, yeah.
Alright? How you doin', Stuey?
Bit slow, bro.
Bit slow?
Yeah.
Ready to speed it up a bit?
Yep.
Where are they? Eugh.
Love the smell
running down my shirt.
Smells like your farts.
Huh.
Ohhh!
Getting nice and dirty?
Lovely.
Lovely.
Stu, can you give me a
Teams have overtaken us.
Look, the boys are done
and they arrived five minutes ago,
so as fast as you can, man.
How'd we go? Yay!
Thank you.
Thank you.
Let's go.
We assumed that we were
down the back somewhere,
but we gained probably three or four
places because we just got in there.
There you go.
If we had to get back in that water,
whoa, we would not have been happy.
No, not that keen.
Let's go, quick.
Let's go.
Rapido, rapido, por favor.
Oh, wait, that's Spanish.
We were second
when we arrived there,
but we were just so focused
on what we were doing
that we looked back up and thought,
"Where are the other teams?"
They had left us in their dust.
We really got to dig in there, hey?
It's, like, really stuck on there,
some of them.
Good? Good?
I've done three.
How many have you done?
More?
Finished? Oh, finished, Lill.
Those girls are done.
Oh, it stinks.
They got here after us too.
Whoo-hoo!
This is making me never want to eat
bloody meat again.
Yay!
Oh, wait, let me take
these bad boys off.
Thank you!
Yay!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
OK.
Thank you.
Thank goodness.
Whoo!
Wow.
We did it, though. Good job.
We did, thank gosh.
Route Info.
After serving
their 30-minute penalty,
Bren and Anja are on their way
to the Pit Stop.
Danke. Shukran. Tschuss.
The market is like a maze
to find the right way
and to find the way out.
This one.
This one? OK.
Two streets, you know?
Yeah.
It's alright. Go.
That's a dead end here.
No, it's not.
We were so lost.
We had no idea where we were.
Maybe that dead end that side?
I'll go and have a quick look.
That look good?
Yeah.
Fun way in?
Do the jump together?
This is it, then.
Ah!
Ooh!
Lauren and Stephanie, you are
the third team to check in.
Well done, girls. Bring it in.
Go and rest. Go and rest.
Maybe get a towel.
Sorry, sorry.
I like how they're smiling.
They won't be smiling tomorrow, you
know what I'm saying? Yeah, yeah.
We did it!
Whoa!
Hi! How are you?
We made it!
Crystal and Reem,
you are the fourth team to check in.
Oh, my God!
Bring it in.
Thank you.
Good job. Oh, we've got another
team. Keep moving, girls.
Down here, down here.
Let's go.
Ready?
Go jump?
Hey! Hello, Beau!
Always wanted to do that.
Toni and Heath,
you're the fifth team to check in.
Yes!
Yes, halfway, halfway.
That's good.
That'll do.
Happy with that?
Yeah.
Meh, OK.
She's not. I'm stoked.
Didn't want to go out
on the first.
Well done, well done.
Thanks, Beau.
Koutoubia Gardens?
Koutoubia Garden?
Looks like my bedroom
before Mum cleaned it.
Ooh!
You sure
this is the right way?
I don't know. I hope so.
We couldn't actually
read the map properly.
They're coming. Let's go.
I started to panic a little bit.
I don't know if this looks familiar
or not.
I don't know what we were thinking.
We thought we knew, like,
the general direction.
But we did not.
But we didn't.
I really hope this is the right way.
There's Beau!
Keep up with me.
I'm slower.
Oh, my gosh!
Oh, my gosh, there's the mat!
Whoo!
That's the energy I'm talking about.
Amen, Beau, amen.
Sam and Alex,
you are the sixth team to check in.
Whoo!
Hey, never
in my wildest dreams
did I think we'd come sixth.
It's not first.
That's a good number.
But at least it's not last.
Yeah.
Absolutely.
How good.
What did you struggle with today?
For me, I usually love lemon,
but I don't think I'll be eating
lemon for a while.
Sprite, you're out, Coke, you're in.
Yeah, well, the lemon will be coming
out of you in about 45 minutes.
Bring it in.
Through the eye of a needle.
Good job.
Thank you, Beau.
Oh! Oh!
Anja, hold this.
Oh.
Hold this.
Oh, darling, come on.
Come here, bubba.
Come here.
Come on. It's alright, baby.
I don't know what we're gonna do
with it
Oh, don't kill it.
OK. No, no, no.
No.
Here house
You help it? Thank you.
Yeah, yeah.
Don't kill it, please.
Thank you.
OK.
Bro, we gotta catch up now.
As fast as you can, bro.
As fast as you can, man.
Come out?
Oh!
Oh, thank you.
We were the last ones
to get out.
Yeah!
I'd give you a hug, bro
Yeah, nah.
Thank you.
Cheers, brother,
thank you very much.
"Hurry, the last team to check in
will be eliminated."
OK.
Damn.
Let's go.
OK, let's go, mate.
Knowing that we are dead last,
we just don't want to be eliminated.
This is not where we want to be.
Let's go.
Stu's taking my bag.
How's your back, holding two bags?
I feel absolutely terrible.
Lucky we're close
'cause I am cooked.
I had to carry his bum bag,
so, you know, good trade.
Nearly there.
Let's go.
Oh, we got a friend!
He's a good boy!
Gee, some
Come on.
Oh, they picked up a dog.
Whoo! Ready?
Oh!
Oh!
Hello!
How you going?
Sam and Stu
Yeah?
Seventh team to check in.
Oh, yeah, baby!
Whoo!
Who's the
We brought a friend along the way.
I'm not meant to have favourites,
but come on.
That's OK.
Well done. Bring it in.
Good job. Good on you, man.
Thanks, mate.
Cheers, mate.
I like how you're carrying his bag.
Let's do this!
Gee, is that your dog
that come with them, or
Righto.
Let's go, let's go.
In that way?
I see the red and yellow flags!
Can we cut through?
Oh!
Wow.
Whoa, whoa, let's go!
Let's go, bro.
Hey, guys, how you doin'?
Hey.
Hey.
I love a footrace.
Stuart and Glennon, you are
..the eighth team to check in.
Oh!
That makes Morgan and Lilli
the ninth team to check in.
Oh, my God!
That's how close you were
to going
What happened, girls?
We got a bit lost.
We just got too excited.
It's really confusing in there.
Well done, gang, you're still alive.
Bring it in.
Not many people make it out
from where we're from,
from Elcho Island and Tiwi Island.
It's important
to inspire the younger ones
and a lot of not just
Tiwi and Yolngu people
but a lot of First Nations
that this is possible.
We could climb up
and take the cake.
I see Beau.
I see Beau, Anja.
Can you believe it?
Oh!
Oh, my God. There he is. Whoo-hoo!
We made it!
We haven't made it yet.
We've got to stand on the mat.
Come on, vegan star bunnies!
Whoo-hoo!
Oh! Hi, Beau.
Oh, we made it.
How you going?
Hello.
You're smiling.
Yeah.
We're always smiling.
We're the vegan bunnies.
High five.
High five!
Whoo!
Whoo!
Bren and Anja,
you are the last team to check in.
And you're eliminated.
No?
Wewe thought that.
And, um
..it is what it is.
It's all good, Bren, now.
It is all good.
Thank you. And you know what?
There's no shame in coming last.
We gave it our all.
That's right.
Tannery, I mean, you avoided that
like the plague.
I came into this race thinking,
well, if Anja couldn't do something
with regards to veganism, I would.
But I tell you what,
I got into that tannery,
it became so emotional.
We just thought
Yeah.
"I'm sorry, we just can't,
we can't do this."
We cannot do it.
And we're happy that we stuck by
our principles.
We need more people in the world
like you guys.
We got onto
The Amazing Race Australia,
so you can't be prouder than that.
But you guys know the rules.
Someone does have to go home.
So, unfortunately,
your time on the race is over.
That's OK, Beau, that's OK.
Thank you, Beau.
Oh, the highlight of
The Amazing Race Australia!
We wanted to inspire in people
that when you are vegan and over 50,
that you can still do it.
Go get a coffee.
Yeah, we'll get a coffee!
Yeah.
I hope that people will go,
"Oh, yeah, they're daggy
but they're fun."
Wouldn't mind a burger or something,
though, you know, now they're gone.
Next time on
The Amazing Race Australia
Oh, my God!
Who are these people?
Look how many there are!
It's the biggest event
in race history.
What the f
Three, two, one, go!
18 teams will come together
Oh, no!
Tones, are you alright?
..and compete
Is this a joke?
Oh, my God, there's so many colours.
..against each other.
Shit, that's hard.
One brick at a time.
Sorry, sorry, you're kind of
in the way here.
The cluster of 18 teams,
it was really overwhelming.
Check that way.
- Come on, Tammy!
- I think we're coming last.
We are so lost.
That has to be the first time
that's happened.
on the Amazing Race Australia
Go!
..10 teams began the epic
global adventure in Melbourne.
Stop! Boot's open.
It's started! It's started!
Their first clue
sent them to Morocco,
where they tackled things head on.
Oh, my lashes!
Some teams tasted victory.
Oh, my God!
Kelly and Georgia
..you are the first team to check in.
Oh, I'm so proud of you.
Others worked together
Thinking king is the lion?
Yes, that makes sense!
But our dad and daughter
unravelled
Oh, my God! Get it off me!
Paul and Rachel,
you are the last team to check in.
..and were first to be eliminated.
I expected the race
to be hard.
But it's so much harder.
Tonight, we're in Sydney
and I'm on my way to meet
the 10 fresh race-hungry teams
who have got absolutely no idea
that the Amazing Race Australia
has already begun.
In a world-first
The team just jumped in our cab.
Hey, hey!
..10 brand-new teams
head to Marrakech.
The sights
..the sounds
..the smells
Oh, my God! Yuck!
Ugh!
Smell like your farts.
..and the challenges.
I can't do it.
Who would've thought a lemon
could be so dangerous?
This is the Amazing Race Australia.
Let's meet the teams!
Perfect conditions.
Welcome, teams, to Sydney!
Now, as you all know,
international borders
have been shut
for the last two years,
but let me tell you,
it's time to get back out.
Being Perth blokes, we've been
trapped in Western Australia
for the last two years.
Getting out and about
doing what we both love,
which is travel, is so exciting.
Out of the thousands and thousands
of people who applied,
YOU are the lucky 10 teams
who are about to embark
on the adventure of a lifetime.
After the last
two years with COVID,
we're both on this
for the same reason -
to create lasting memories
and adventures.
This year's winners
will take home the biggest prize
in Amazing Race Australia history,
a whopping 250 grand cash!
And one of you will get the keys
to an Isuzu D-MAX
and the other will drive away
in an Isuzu MU-X.
Wow!
Oh, my God!
It's on.
Shotgun the SUV.
Does that make you that little bit
hungrier for the win or what?
Kathy and Chace, what strategy
do you think you guys will have?
We'll play nice when we can.
Otherwise, any man's game.
That's what I like to hear.
Lauren and Steph,
our first cop couple.
How's that gonna help you guys
on the race?
We hope our communication skills
come in handy here.
Like, we're pretty good at
negotiating with every situation.
Did you sneak a taser in?
And some other accoutrements.
- You ready to get down to business?
- Yoo! Yeah! Let's go!
Your first clue is on top of
your backpack right in front of you.
Race hard. But above all, race safe.
Three, two, one, go!
Go, go, go!
Seeing new places, I'm so excited!
This way, this way, this way!
What is it?
Route Info.
Fly to Marrakech, Morocco!
Marrakech in Morocco,
known as the Red City.
Famous for its medieval medinas
and exotic souks,
it's a city of arts and culture
surrounded by mountains and desert.
Oh, my God!
To Marrakech, Morocco.
We've never been.
It's been on our wish list.
Let's go!
This way, this way!
This way!
Taxi!
Yeah!
Hello.
Hi, sir.
We're going to the International
Airport. We're in a race.
Your most enthusiastic driving
within the rules.
Within the rules.
We're police officers.
She's my partner on and off duty.
We got together during COVID.
We actually haven't
been able to travel
internationally together at all.
Just a casual first
international holiday.
It's on!
I want to experience everything
that life has to offer.
When I first met Heath,
I got the horrendous news
that I had breast cancer
and that I'd need the whole
mastectomy, chemo, radiation.
It was kind of good for a while.
Like, all clear.
And, yeah, I went to get
more scans and it was
..it was back with a vengeance.
So now I have terminal cancer.
I'm fit, well enough,
my oncologist's given the tick
of approval and I'm gonna
I'm gonna go out there
and give it my all.
Morocco!
Morocco, baby!
How do you even say that?
Where are we going in Morocco?
'Marrakeck'.
'Marrakeck'.
MarrakMarrak 'Marraketch'?
I don't know.
You know, when I was 10 and 11,
I didn't even speak English.
Yeah. We're both from remote
communities in Northern Territory.
So we had to learn English.
From Tiwi Island, Elcho Island,
to Morocco.
Heavenly Father, we just
thank you for this day, Lord.
Yes, Lord. Thank you, Lord.
We thank you that we're here today.
Amen.
Amen. Let's get it.
This isn't a two-man team.
We are a three-man team.
And, like, Jesus is in this with us.
I think we might be
the last ones in the taxi.
We're here. 'Bye, Sydney.
Whoo!
Thank you.
Thank you.
Let's go!
Departures. Let's go!
'Bye.
Oh, my God. Marrakech.
Come on! Let's bring it on!
All 10 teams
are now on a 30-hour flight
to Marrakech, Morocco.
Go, go, go, go! Sorry.
Let's go!
Come on, Frankie!
Let's go! Let's go!
Come, come, come, come, come!
This one here.
Oh! Oh!
Come here. You go.
Oh, shit. Go, go, go, go!
Bonjour.
Bonjour.
Are we the first one out of the
I think we are the first one out.
We were literally
the first to the cab
and the pink team
just jumped in our cab.
Could you please take us
to Jemaa el-Fnaa?
All 10 teams
are now racing by taxi
to the medieval Kutubiyya Mosque,
opposite Jemaa el-Fnaa Square,
Marrakech's largest 24-hour market,
where they'll find their next clue.
It still hasn't kicked in
that we're on this show
and we're in a different country.
My family background is Palestinian.
And I come from
a big Lebanese family.
So we both speak Arabic pretty well.
Yeah.
Just in general, I think being able
to ask the locals for some help
around there will be an advantage.
- Oh, my God.
- There's a puddle!
This way!
Oh, my God. I see a flag!
Where?
Right in front of us.
Leg it! But don't eat shit.
Let's go, bro!
We were like, "You know what?
"Let's just take this moment
to appreciate where we are."
Marrakech, Morocco.
Oh, look at this, bro!
I know. Look at the horses here,
man. It's unreal, man.
Shukran. Thank you.
Thank you. 'Bye.
Where is it?
Let's go.
That way!
OK! Run! Let's go!
Thank you.
Oh, my goodness.
I can't see a thing.
My glasses are all rained on.
Right there!
Oi, Sam, here!
Oh, my God!
- We found the clue!
- Yeah!
- OK.
- Route Info.
Moroccan pottery
is regional and unique.
Native Berber tribes still use the
same traditional red-clay techniques
that date back to the 5th century BC.
In this challenge, teams
need to stack a market cart
with 40 pieces of local pottery.
Then following the flags' path,
they'll steer it through
the narrow souk alleyways,
deliver their load
to the marked pottery shop
and once counted,
they'll receive their next clue.
OK, OK. We've got to get
40 pieces on here.
I don't think 40 pieces
are gonna fit.
40 pieces. We're gonna
have to make them fit.
It's a bit wet.
It is a bit wet, this one.
"Manoeuvre the carts
through the market."
"Deliver all pieces undamaged
to receive your next clue."
Let's go. Come on.
Oh, look. Is that a clue?
No, that's an arrow.
So I reckon it's in those pile
of bricks there somewhere.
No, not in the bricks, in the shops.
Let's have a look
if you see another flag.
Put the heavier ones up here
so we can balance the rest.
Two. Two at a time. Two. Load 'em on
as carefully as possible.
Here, let's turn them upside down.
How about that?
OK. Now we've got it. We've got it.
Alright.
Awesome.
Thank you. Shukran.
Where's the flag?
Right there on the left.
Thank you.
Go, go, go! The girls are out.
Thank you, sir.
Lil.
What?
Look at that.
Oh, monkey.
So cool!
Go, go, go, go, go, go! Come on!
OK, I see, I see.
Oh, there, there, there.
I see it, I see it.
Thank you, sir.
Thank you, mate.
Thanks, mate.
Let's go. Let's go.
Damn, it's slippery. Watch out.
Oh, my Lord, this weather!
Shoes were drenched, socks were wet.
The Mullets weren't looking
as hot as they usually do.
There.
Oh, on the thing.
OK.
Here's the clue.
So wet!
"Carefully manoeuvre the cart"
"..while carrying
40 pieces of pottery"
"..to the flag shop."
Alright, let's go.
Go, go, go!
Let's go, let's go!
I think we should just go with this
and then come back for the rest.
The clue said 40 pieces so I thought
it would be smart to load it with 20,
get down there,
find the shop and come back.
There. Go!
Reem, don't break a pot.
I'm not looking,
I'm just following you.
We're going to the marked flag
which is directly down there.
38, 39, 40. Boom!
OK, let's go, let's go, let's go.
Go at a steady pace, steady pace.
Talk to me if you need.
Maybe the little ones
on the bottom, Tones,
and put the big ones on top.
Do all of these on the outside first.
Alright.
Quickly, the other teams
are way ahead of us.
OK, who's got our clue?
There's one here, one here. Cool.
Is it onjust on the end?
Oh, yeah. OK. Alright.
Alright.
Oh, nice rip.
"Carefully manoeuvre the carts
through the market
"while carrying
40 pieces of pottery."
Let's go.
So bits that you can hang.
Hang on. I'm gonna have to hold it.
Big ones in the middle?
So 40 pieces.
Count whilst I load it.
Yep.
Oh, please, clue, pop out at us.
Oh, look, a doggie. Aww. How cute.
Oh, he is beautiful.
We get distracted by nature
all the time.
We just love animals.
Hello, puss-puss.
Aww! Hello.
Hello, gorgeous.
We're vegan buddies.
We met at an animal activist rally.
We want to win The Amazing Race
because we want to win the money
and donate to animal sanctuaries.
Here, Brenda, here's the next one.
We're getting warmer, Anja.
Straight, straight, straight.
We got Are we close?
We'll ask them, "Is this
where we're meant to deliver?"
They're like, "Yes, yes, come in."
And they're trying to sell slippers.
Do you know where
there's a red-and-yellow flag?
Yes.
Where?
No, no, not here.
Thank you.
Oh, my God!
Oh, down here. Oh, lovely.
Is that a clue?
Maybe in here? No.
Be careful. It won't be in there.
There's a carpet right there.
There you go. Rolled-up rugs.
It's right there.
The German people are here already.
Hello.
How many did you get?
How many vases did you bring?
Vases?
Yeah.
You needyou need
Did you get your clue?
No, we didn't.
Go get your clue!
Where is it? We have been looking.
On the carts. Did you see the carts?
I don't know how to explain it
to you but it's back that way.
Oh, my God. Oh!
We've gotta come back here.
Yeah. Oh, look, the dog.
It's so cute, no?
Oh, little doggie.
""You may take one of
the rolled-up rugs laid on the floor
"and unload your pottery.
"If you're missing any pottery,
you must put all the"
Are we not allowed
to put some at a time?
Oh, I told you! You have to
get them all at once.
We were meant to have 40 pieces
on this cart.
Yeah, my heart dropped
at that point.
Alright, it's OK. We'll go back.
Hey!
Hey!
Hello, hello. How'd youse go?
Did you get 40 almost?
No.
Oh.
Boom! There we are, bro.
- Hello, hello.
- Hello.
Grab the rug, you're gonna have to
spread it out, chuck it all in.
Our strategy
going to the pot challenge
was just all about just steadiness.
"Place it as neatly as possible."
Good work, Stu.
And making sure we don't just miss
a step and smash all the pots.
39. 40.
Good work, bro!
Proud of you, bro.
This is good teamwork, man.
Good communication. I liked it.
He eats strategies for breakfast,
this guy.
Slow and steady wins the race.
You know, the turtle.
Oh, awesome. Thank you, brother.
Thank you very much.
First one to get the clue.
Yeah.
Let's go!
Bud!
Eh! Boom!
Eh!
What's this, bro?
Oh, what's this one? OK. Detour.
A Detour is a choice
between two challenges,
each with its own pros and cons.
In this Detour, teams must choose
between Dash or Splash.
Teams that choose Dash must
make their way to Lantern Alley.
Amongst the hundreds and hundreds
of lanterns,
they must identify the four
that are flashing Morse code.
They'll then use their guide sheet
to decipher the code
and if the lamp guy gives them
the thumbs up,
they'll receive their next clue.
Seems enlightening.
Dash. Dot. Dot, dot, dash.
And the second Detour
is also a tricky code to crack
'cause these water sellers
are not what they appear.
Teams that choose Splash
must locate six of Marrakech's
famous water sellers
in the main square
wearing red-and-yellow tassels.
And dressed in colourful costumes,
they've sold water to
weary travellers for centuries.
They must then count all the brass
cups on six different water sellers,
add together the total number of cups
and give them the correct number
to receive their next clue.
I'm not too sure if this is
more complicated than that.
I reckon we'll count the, um, cups.
OK, so we're doing Splash.
Yep.
Alright, then, let's go.
34, 35, 36, 37, 30
Oh, no.
What's happening?
What?
This whole side.
I did that, didn't I?
Oh, man, I don't know.
Let's go.
Just slowly does it, Tones.
There's a flag over there.
OK. Let's go, babe.
Slowly does it.
Just stacking the cart,
we made up some good ground.
We did.
Slow up. Slow and steady.
Was that 40?
Yep.
Should we put one more on
to be sure?
Can we have over?
Yeah.
Yeah, OK.
Oh.
Course I grab the heaviest one.
Let's go a bit faster.
But not too fast.
Frankie, Frankie, stop, stop, stop.
You're pushing too fast.
Keep going. We're just skipping
ahead of these guys.
Man, how did those girls
get in front of us?
Go, to get past.
Yeah, I'm going.
so we started to overtake
some people.
So, like, "Alright,
this is exciting. We can do this."
Yeow!
You're doing great, guys.
Tones, stop, stop, stop, stop.
Come on then.
Yeah, right there.
You hold on and I'll lay it out.
Yeah, watch this ditch.
I can't believe we've done this.
Quickie quick.
Hold it while I grab the carpet.
Quickly, Frankie.
We meant to put our hand up, Lil?
Yeah.
Hello.
How'd we do?
I really hope this is right.
No?
Oh, no.
Told you we should have counted.
We did count it.
We're gonna be in dead last.
No more lead.
Go, go, go, babe. Two more.
Put your hand up.
Come on, babe. Come on.
We are both fiercely competitive.
That's gonna help us hopefully have
a little bit of success.
Thank you so much. Thank you.
Detour.
Detour.
Splash or Dash?
Splash.
Splash. Yep. Let's go.
38, 39, 40. Check, please.
Yeow! Yes.
Hallelujah. The Lord is good.
Thank you. Oh, my gosh. Yes.
Nice rip, nice rip. Let's go.
Better than yours.
Grr.
Detour.
Which one do you want to do?
I wanna do Splash.
OK, let's go.
Get more hooky ones
to hang off the hooks.
Yep.
Why are you going so slow?
Is that 40?
Two more.
We thought we'd stacked that thing,
like, nice and beautiful.
We thought we had a nice balance.
Argh!
Oh, shit!
Argh!
Oh, my God. I have to steal pots
from someone else. Quick.
Grab some of the other little ones.
Stop grabbing the big ones
from there.
Look around us. Is that 40?
Yep.
Off we go.
There's such a crowd.
Beep-beep-beep.
The marked path.
How? How much?
Not for sale, sir.
No, delivering.
We should be selling them
to get leg money.
Hello. Pots. Pots. Pots. Pots.
Harry Potter?
Harry Potter. I am dead.
Let's go find the flag shop, babes.
We just take it slow, take it slow.
Be careful. Watch the hanging ones.
Flag up ahead.
Keep pushing. We gotta stay
in front of the boys.
True. Alright.
Come, you need to push.
No, not down.
Just push it towards me.
The pot was at head height,
so I had no vision.
I was on me tippy-toes
trying to push up this hill.
Good. You tell me if
any traffic's coming on?
Just keep going.
Growing up in Rockingham, Perth,
Western Australia,
we always were best mates
and proud Rocko boys.
It's known as a bogan town.
Stu fits it well with his mullet.
But that's who we are.
I think if you google
"two Australian blokes",
us two will pop up.
We're getting overtaken.
How we going, boys?
We've already smashed half our pots.
Really?
Yes! Put a bucket underneath it.
This is the second load.
This is our time to catch up.
So these boys coming up fast.
Hello.
Sorry, boys, we're not moving
as quick as you.
We're in a race
at the end of the day.
Beep-beep, quick. Toot-toot!
Oh!
Oh! Oh, Lauren, great catch.
You're a ninja.
Thanks, boo.
Ginger ninja.
Boys, that was
Sorry, girls.
Wait, wait, wait, wait.
Just one sec, one sec.
We're so lucky that none of
their pots or our pots broke
'cause that would have been
an absolute disaster.
We're here, we're here, we're here.
Oh, my God,
this is a long trek back.
To actually wheel that
the whole way again,
your arms were so sore.
Boys, can you help us?
We're in, like, last place.
OK.
OK.
We had the advantage
of knowing the language.
That helped us out a lot.
You guys are actually angels.
Very careful, yeah.
Surely
we'll be able to find a clue
unless it's in one of the pots.
What's this here?
Nothing.
Nothing in here.
Nothing, nothing, nothing.
Well, there are more pots
up there, Anja.
I'm just looking in all of them,
that's all.
Already looked. Yeah.
Have you? OK.
I can't see it. It's a big envelope.
Easy to see.
Nothing in the bucket.
Ah, Anja! Whoo! Whoo-hoo!
We found the clue. Whoo!
"Deliver all pieces undamaged
to receive your next clue."
Yeah, OK.
Yeah, put some inside here.
You sure?
Yeah, put some inside if they fit.
OK, it doesn't matter which ones. We
just gotta have 40 pieces. Oh, gosh.
Oh, my gosh, we're not
Oh, you're doing
We'rewe're still in the race.
We can still overtake them.
As long as we're not last.
That's all we can hope for.
Two, four, six, eight. 40. OK.
That's it. Done.
Check.
Whoo! Thank you. Thank you.
Merci beaucoup.
Oh, Detour.
Splash or Dash.
We had to pick between counting
and deciphering Morse code.
Want to do the Splash?
We decided to go with counting.
Is there 40 pieces here?
Yeah, this is our 40 pieces.
OK. Cool.
Hello, check.
Smashing the pots didn't
really hinder us too much.
Thank you. Thank you so much.
Thank you.
And that's 37, 38, 39, 40.
Good. Check, please.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Whoo!
Detour.
Let's do Splash.
Splash?
Splash. Let's do it.
Splash.
Splash, yeah.
Splash sounds easier.
Alright, let's go do that.
Splash, let's go.
Alright, so, this is the food
cart. Water sellers with cups, yeah?
Water sellers with cups.
We were looking for,
like, a sign on a stall.
Let's go up and down each one.
Stay. Come with me.
The famous Moroccan water sellers.
I don't know.
I don't know what is water sellers.
OK.
They can't be THAT famous.
No-one knows who they are.
"Locate the water sellers with
The Amazing Race marked tassels."
Maybe this chappie.
Chace saw the tassels on these men
walking around.
We realised,
"Oh, the water sellers are humans."
Being a French speaker,
knowing that French is one of
the official languages of Morocco,
I just wanted to really leverage
my skills here.
There's a team there.
Oh, babe Steph. Steph!
And then the other teams who had just
finished the pottery, they came.
Look, Alex.
What are those guys doing?
And they didn't have to go through
any of the trouble
of trying to find the water cup
sellers because we did it.
Oh, are you kidding me? What?
These are the Splash people.
We ran past them so many times
Hundred million times.
..and they were
literally looking at me,
making eye contact with me,
and I was, like,
"You guys are dressed weird."
Count the total number of cups
on the water sell
Oh, they are the water sell
It's a guy.
How many are there?
How many are there?
There's so many of them.
Oh, my goodness.
I've got 15. What have you got?
Oh, 15, yeah.
15, hey?
- We ready?
- We're ready.
Thank you so much. Thank you.
Forever grateful.
Thank you!
Shall we just do Splash because
we know where the food carts are?
- Yeah, OK.
- Let's go.
We need that one over there.
Make sure it's nothing broken
as well.
Two, three
The girls are still in the race
as well as us, Anja, so just
We'll keep on trying.
They're about to go,
so we need to get a hustle on.
OK, got everything?
Yep.
Just as long as they don't pass us,
we're OK.
You ready?
I've got it, yep.
OK.
There's a flag up there.
We'll keep going.
Thank you!
It was actually quite fun
pushing the cart
through all the little alleyways.
Oh, look! A little kitty cat.
Aww!
Nearly there, Lil.
We're so close.
We're so close.
I can't wait to see the pottery man.
Thank you! Thank you very much.
So, we've got 40. Now we just
need to get the lids going.
Now, this is a fun game.
Oh, yes!
We're really gonna learn a lot
from this.
Alright, Detour.
Alright, let's do Splash.
Splash?
Let's go.
Thisthis map is ridiculous, bro.
It's notnot the best one.
No, it's not.
We were just going in circles.
We were literally going in circles.
Boys, are you looking for
the water sellers?
Are you guys trying to look too?
We're looking for the water sellers.
Let's work together, then.
Yeah, right, let's work together.
I think these are the sellers!
OK, count, bro.
Count, count, count, count.
Get your pen and paper!
11. 11! That's 11!
There was just so many
other teams there.
14?
I couldn't even count properly
'cause I was so bothered by
the other teams there, you know?
I was, like, "Damn!"
Sorry, bro.
8, 9, 10, 11. 11?
I've got 9.
Stop, stop. Going crazy, right.
We both need to have a description
of the person
so that we don't count them twice.
As lawyers, we're very attentive to
detail and that's our specialty.
What could go wrong?
It's easy!
C'est bon? C'est bon?
It went wrong.
12 for that guy. 12.
12?
That's 13.
Plus 12.
Plus 12.
So, write 56.
No, OK. Alright.
We thought this would be way easier,
which it was not.
It absolutely was not, was it?
No.
One, two, three, four,
five, six, seven. Seven.
13. 7.
Yes, Toni!
Thank you so much, my friend!
Thank you!
So, at this point, we didn't know
where we were coming,
but we felt like we were
in a good position.
Yep.
Road Block.
Who is best in a pickle?
Oh.
Far out.
A Road Block is a challenge
that only one team member must
complete based on a cryptic clue.
Preserved lemons are
a common condiment here in Morocco
and they vary on taste depending on
how long they've been pickled.
In this challenge, one member
from each team must come here
and eat three pickled lemons each,
varying in age of preservation -
six months, one year
and two years old.
They must consume
all the lemon pieces on the plate
before receiving their next clue,
but first they must head to the Hotel
Cecil to sign up for the challenge.
First teams on the board will get
a time advantage in the morning.
Alright, I'll do it. Let's do it.
OK. Use your map.
"Make your way to Riad Hotel Cecil
"to sign up for
tomorrow's challenge."
Let's go.
Yay! Yay!
Yes?
Thank you!
Let's go!
Who's best in a pickle?
You. Do you wanna do it?
I'll do it.
You're good at eating ones.
Let's go.
Alright, let's go.
Where's Riad Hotel?
71?
Yep.
Hey, hey!
Let's go!
Thank you. Thank you.
Road Block. Oh, baby.
You got this one, eh?
I've got it.
Let's go. Where is it?
Alright. 71.
Yes! Thank you!
Thank you. Cheers.
Thank you.
72 or 73?
We kept getting it wrong.
And then all these teams
were just going past us.
Yeah!
Thank you so much!
Thank you!
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Oh, yeah, that's gold. Thank you.
OK, here we go.
- Road Block. Who's best in a pickle?
- What's that mean?
I don't know. Who's best
in a pickle out of me and you?
It's eating pickles. I'll do it.
I'll do it. I'll do it.
You can go. Let's go.
Me?
Are you doing it?
I'll do it.
Alright.
Scissors, paper, rock.
You're better in a pickle.
And where's the hotel?
So, if the Riad Hotel's here,
we're here.
This way.
Let's go.
Through here.
Mask on.
Oh, Tones, we're number one.
I don't know how.
When we walked in and saw that
no-one had signed up on that board,
it was a great feeling.
It was wonderful.
Oh, my God, we can sleep.
High five.
The challenge
was very frustrating
because maybe three, four teams
went past us.
And we were still trying to, like,
figure it out.
Oh, my God!
You're the second here!
Are you kidding?
Yeah!
Oh, my God! Oh!
Oh, my gosh, we're second!
Yeah, baby!
Whoo!
We made it.
Boom!
Boom. The fourth one.
We were, like, "Oh, OK, not bad."
Oh, my God, we're here.
Hello, guys!
One, two, three, four, five.
We're fifth. That's decent.
Are all the other teams here?
No, you're the sixth team.
Wow.
So, there's teams still out there?
Chace, this is what I'm saying.
Look at the hats they're wearing.
We'll write down the colour.
They all have
different coloured hats on.
73, 72.
Thank you!
Merci.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Who's the best in a pickle? You are.
Alright, it's me.
You OK to do it? You OK?
Yeah, OK. I'm doing it.
We saw, like,
the necklaces,
so, then we're, like,
"Alright, we've got this."
Is that 11?
Yeah.
They were just ringing their bells
and they were crossing paths.
Just not stopping,
like, fully switching spots,
like, literally, like, so quick.
Four, five, six.
Yeah, yeah. Yeah.
Yay!
Thank you so much!
Thank you!
Oh! How was that rip?!
Road Block.
Alrighty, who's best in a pickle?
You.
OK, me.
Riad
There.
"Make your way on foot
to Hotel Cecil."
Kathy, it's here.
We found it. We found it.
Thank you.
It said to sign up for
tomorrow's challenge.
- Yep, yep, yep, yep, yep.
- Yep.
We were crushed to be eighth.
Try and make up some time tomorrow.
OK, never mind.
Good job.
Lil, we're not last!
- Oh!
- Are you a water seller?
There was only one water seller
and all the rest must have gone home.
Hello. How are you? Good?
Because our time had run out,
we didn't even count his cups.
Thank you very much.
We knew that we'd have to take
a time penalty the next morning,
but it was just too late.
Who's best in a pickle?
You will be best in a pickle.
Yeah, OK, I'm gonna do the pickle.
We thought,
well, another night, another day.
We'll just smash it out.
Oh! Crazy!
Hello. How are you?
When we saw everyone had put their
names down, every single person,
it was disappointing.
I didn't have my coffee.
It really sucks.
It's a brand-new day
and a brand-new challenge.
Teams will head to
the Lemon Pickle Souk,
leaving in four separate groups
based on the order they arrived
at the hotel.
Let's go, guys.
There was only five minutes
between each group
leaving that hotel,
so we only had five minutes
to find that challenge
And try and smash it out
before anyone could arrive.
Let's go this way.
Here, Tones.
Let's look. Oh, lemons! Over there.
Alright, left, left.
I have a feeling it's down here.
Hello, sir.
Can I please have
a plate of lemons?
Give me your bag.
Thank you very much.
Get some space, babe.
Thank you.
I'll hold. I'll hold.
Good luck, Angel. You can do it.
Thank you.
True, it smells lovely. Hello.
The challenge was eating
three pickled lemons.
I've got a weak stomach,
so I was a bit concerned with what
these pickled lemons were gonna be.
Six months.
Chew. Chew. Alright?
Think happy thoughts.
Onya, babe. Onya.
It's a biggie. Got to do all of it.
Take your time.
Close your eyes if you need to.
Think of something nice.
Peanut butter.
This is nothing like peanut butter.
What frigging good is that gonna do?
OK, and again.
Next piece. OK, babe. Well done.
Hands on hips.
What does? Does it taste?
Does it taste so rank?
It smells rank.
Chace, you set the pace. Let's go.
Let's go, babe.
Go, girl!
This is the circular thing.
Go around.
OK. Ready.
You can do it.
Three, two, one.
Mm.
I thought if I taste it,
I'm gonna gag
and I don't wanna spew.
That's making me woozy.
If you vomit, where you gonna
Five, six, seven, eight.
Ah! Mm.
Oh, you are doing so good.
Mm. It's a lot of lemon.
You can do it.
Who would have thought
a lemon could be so dangerous?
Right, hold on.
It's still in my mouth, but
Yeah.
It's alright. It's just a lemon.
It's just a nasty lemon.
Oh, my God, this is so hard.
You're nearly there.
Get the other one.
What are those?
Are those markers there?
Alright. Now
"You must eat all lemons." OK, go!
Taste good?
It was quite acidic
and a bit of a kick with zinginess.
Bro, it was more of a fly-kick, bro.
Get into it, bud.
Thank you.
Six months.
Sam, he's got
the strangest food taste.
His favourite food is
the Sambo Special.
Come on, baby.
It's a peanut butter
and raw onion sandwich.
Oh, looks nice and fresh.
How's it tasting?
Not too bad.
Quick, quick. Get it in ya.
Come on, brother. Get it in ya!
So, lemon, that's a walk
in the park, I reckon.
Smash it, Frankie. Smash it.
"Lemons must be consumed
one segment at a time."
You've got to straight swallow.
Just straight swallow.
Don't think about it.
Just take two bites out of it
and swallow.
Oh, my God. Eugh!
It's just another Monday
in Morocco, bro.
Another Monday in Morocco.
It's what we do.
That's what it is. You got this.
Oh-ho-ho!
You got this. It's nothing.
Look. Look, they're struggling.
They're struggling
It's the worst thing.
Smell it. Smell it.
Yeah, it's festy. It's festy,
but just think happy thoughts, babe.
Get it down you. Come on.
Oh, that lemon, it was, like,
sucking the saliva out of my mouth.
Oh, man!
That's some kinky stuff, wasn't it?
Yeah. You've got this, Tubby.
Look at her go.
Oh, the taste is nasty.
OK.
Oh, Christ.
Just chew it.
You can do it.
Oh, my gosh.
You are doing so good.
Oh!
No, you can't help me.
Oh, my God! Yes! Yay!
Well done, boys!
Ah! Is that alright?
Beautiful.
We've got the clue!
Yeah, Sammy! Come on, let's go.
Let's go.
Good girl! Yes, Tubby.
Judge!
Yes!
Give me water! Give me water!
Oh! Give me water!
Here we go. Route Info.
Oh, what a shocking rip.
Alright, Crystal. You drink water.
It's a Route Info.
One of the oldest trades in Morocco
is the processing of leather.
Hides are soaked in cow urine,
quicklime and water,
then cleaned with pigeon poo.
It's disgusting.
In this challenge, our teams
have to locate a tannery worker
who'll direct them
to a hole to sit in.
They'll then de-fur five hides
and lay them out in the sun to dry.
When they've done that correctly,
they'll receive their next clue.
I know what my missus
is getting for Christmas.
Apparently the only thing
that takes this smell away is mint.
Lucky I carry mint everywhere.
You've got this.
Oh, Tones, I'm sorry.
I just need to do this slowly.
I know, but OK.
You can't rush me
'cause I'm gonna throw it up.
There's more teams here.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Good God.
Just swallow this.
Yeah.
We were the last team out.
We didn't finish
the water seller challenge
and we've had to take
the time penalty.
Where is it?
Lemons, lemons, lemons.
Do you know where the tannery is?
Tannery this way.
Thank you!
Thank you!
I hope they're sending us
the right way.
Oh, it's so pretty through here.
We'd overtaken Toni and Heath,
and I felt a bit bad for them,
actually,
but it is a race.
It just all started coming out.
I just couldn't do it.
You got it. You got it.
And the seeds, yeah.
Last one. Just take two bites
out of it and swallow.
I don't like the look of this one.
Don't look at it.
Ugh!
Just
Eugh!
Just do one bite.
I took, like, one little,
like, nibble, 'cause
I just wanted to taste it.
And then we're gonna suss
the rest of these things.
You got it. You got it.
Oh, yuck.
Swallow it. Yes. That's it.
Don't bring it up. Don't bring it up.
Eugh!
Don't bring it up.
You got it, you got it, you got it.
You got this. I'm like,
"Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes."
Eugh!
Swallow it whole.
Here we go.
Ready?
Yeah!
I'm glad I gave him that one.
Done it.
OK, get your plate.
And go and see the man.
Thank you.
You did so good. I'm so proud of you.
Let's go, let's go.
Well done, Heath, well done.
Eugh!
Right.
"Make your way
to Tannery Dar Dbagh Lakbira.
"Using the local method"
"Remove the fur from five goat hides
to receive your next clue."
OK, let's go.
OK, let's go this way. Go!
Eugh! Eugh.
Let's go.
Oh, wow,
look at all the Dior bags.
Oh, cute!
It's hard to find a marked arrow
when there's Christian Dior bags
in front of me!
Alright. Watch your step.
Go straight, straight!
Get in front of these guys.
Sorry, ladies.
Sorry, on your left.
OK, OK, the arrow's
The arrow's going straight.
The orange team, they were
that quick, wewe lost them.
Very fast, orange team.
That market square is like a maze.
Go, go. It's got the arrow.
You could easily go
from first place to last place
if you take a wrong turn.
Left, left, left, left, left!
Keep on going, keep on going.
Oop.
No flags at all.
Come this way.
We've already been that way.
Yeah?
Yeah.
Any flags around?
Look out for paths, yeah?
You got this, Chace, you got this.
So bloody sour.
You got this. Well done.
- Oh, well done, I'm so proud of you.
- You got this.
Last one, last one.
How you going, Red?
Swallow that bad boy down.
I'll never make a lemon cheesecake
again in my life if you eat this.
No lemon desserts ever.
No lemon anything, no.
Merci beaucoup.
Thank you.
Thank you so much. Thank you.
Thank you so much.
Thank you.
Yeah, tear it. Good job.
"Make your way to the tannery"
"Remove the fur from five goat hides
to receive the next clue."
Let's go. Come on, come on.
You're doing so good.
You got this.
You got this, bro.
You're alright. You're alright.
No way.
All good?
Come on, Ange. Here, flag's here.
We're here.
Oh, it smells so bad.
It's alright.
Suck it up and push through.
It's gonna stink.
It's gonna be all of it.
Nothing's gonna stop us
from getting through.
Oh, sexy.
The smell, like, eugh!
Follow his every step.
Oh, my gosh.
So you pull it with it,
pull it up like that.
Drain it. Watch what he's doing.
Oh!
Doesn't matter, Ange, suck it up.
Everything was disgusting.
Everything.
Uh!
Pah! Puh!
Oh, this is
Oh, my God, it's real fur!
Pick it up.
It's real fur.
Oh. Crunch.
Ugh! Don't wet me!
Sorry, sorry, sorry.
Oh!
I just got stuck into it.
And I was the opposite.
The tannery. We found it.
Here. Down here.
I hope we don't have to kill
any animals.
I don't want to slaughter any goats.
I'm not in the mood
to slaughter nothing.
Ooh, they're drippin'.
Excuse me.
Oh! Whoa!
Ugh. Ugh. Ugh.
Ugh.
Oh, my God.
Breathe through your mouth.
This looks so gross. Just gotta
breathe through your mouth.
The girls
are in the same bit as you. Oh!
You alright? Yeah?
Sortin' it.
You downed it, bro! My man!
You're doing so good!
So good. No, you've got this,
you've got this.
Oh, OK, here?
Oh, thank you very much.
I really appreciate that.
A-hey!
Good work, bro.
Thank you.
Awesome, awesome.
Put it down. Come on.
Let's go.
Yay! Thank you!
Wolf it down.
Whoo!
You're dripping, you're dripping.
Uh, uh!
Whoo! Whoo-hoo-hoo!
Good on you.
I'm so bloomin' happy, I tell ya.
"Using the local method,
"soak the skin and remove the fur
from five goat hides
"to receive your next clue."
Oh, no, no.
Ohhh! OK.
I'm really pissed off
with this challenge.
OK, see any more signs?
Tannery.
Ask someone.
Hello.
We weren't confident when we were
following local directions.
Tannery.
One would say, "Go this way,"
One would say, "Go this way."
Straight down?
Speak English?
Little?
Yeah.
Yeah, I know.
Tannery.
Yeah. Where, where?
- Where?
- Yeah.
I don't know.
Oh, OK.
Holy moly.
I think I grabbed the hardest one.
No, you've just got to
get stuck into it,
like, you've got to fully pull,
like you're
Ripping someone's hair out.
Yeah.
I didn't want to be there,
full stop.
But you gotta do what you gotta do.
Eugh.
OK?
I don't know.
Can you sing a song or something,
distract me?
Eugh. Oh, my God. Eugh!
They're inside out.
Yeah.
OK. Ew!
Sorry.
Please don't flick me.
It's so slimy and slippery.
It is.
Thank God I'm not vegan.
Oh, could you imagine?
Oh, it's gonna be ho
Oh, look. Look!
Earth Cafe Vegan. How cool is that?
OK, alright.
The tannery.
Yeah, yeah.
It's in Arabic. Come on, Heath!
Yeah.
Tannery, tannery.
Where are we going?
We need a guide.
The smell of the tannery
assaulted my nostrils.
It smelt like you were in a room
with no windows
with about a hundred goats.
So we jump in?
Does not smell good.
Alright, we got a one-minute demo,
so watch, watch, watch.
At the old tannery
we jumped in some really cute boots
and PPE gear.
I've seen her with
those little wellingtons on
and one of those little gaiters.
You looked cute.
10 out of 10.
Good?
Oh, my God,
yuck, this is so gross.
Oh, this poor little goat.
Oh! You think you've done it
Is this one good, sir?
Good.
Good? Where can I put? Here?
Yeah.
Stop.
Stop. Stop, stop, stop.
Put it on, put it on. There.
Take it. Take it.
Come with.
I can't do this.
It smells so bad.
Where, here?
Where, where?
Where are we checking? Here?
Yes!
Oh, don't touch me, don't touch me!
Thank you!
Oh!
Thank you!
Whoo-hoo! Let's go.
Whoo!
To be honest, at that point,
we still didn't realise
we were in first position.
You didn't.
Did you know?
Yeah.
Yes, yes! Here we go.
Oh, you've still got fur on you.
Doesn't matter.
Yuck! Don't touch me.

I think we're done, Kathy.
We Is it finished? Merci.
We absolutely smashed through
the five goat hides.
Six. There's six. Six.
And did an extra one.
We did an extra one.
Merci. Merci beaucoup.
Thank you. Merci!
Judge. Finish.
Five.
- Yes?

Yes! Thank you.
Yes! Come on!
Thank you so much.
Thank you.

Si good. Si good.
It's good? Last one?
Yes.
One, two, three, four, five.
That's it. Yes?
Yes.
Yes? We go?
Oh, you're the best.
Looks like the girls
have got it, babe.
They got it? Alright.
Let's pick it up.
We're not far behind, babe.
We actually dealt with
the stench of the pit OK.
As police officers we're exposed
to different situations
that other people may not
ordinarily get exposed to.
- Finish. Finish. Finish.
- Finish.
Alright, let's go.
Thank you.
Don't touch it with your gloves!
Wow, who gives a shit?
- Let's go.
- Thank you!
Shukran!
Oh, thank you!
Tricky, tricky, tricky!
Thank you.
Thank you so much. Thank you.
Oh, how was that rip?
"Make your way on foot to the
bandstand in Koutoubia Gardens"
"And search for Beau
at your first Pit Stop."
"Hurry, the last team to check in
will be eliminated."
Thank you.
He's taking us so far away.
Oh!
Is there any closer?
It's just here.
OK.
Yeah!
Alright, let's go.
Must be up here, I think.
Yeah, up here.
Oh. Down here, bro.
Down here.
Oh, it stinks over here.
Let's go.
- In here.
- OK! OK.
Whoa! Good job, Sammy.
The disgusting tannery.
I know.
If I have to do it by myself,
I'll do it.
I was willing to give them a go
to get us further in the race.
There's hides up there. Oh, my God.
But I didn't expect
to feel so emotional about it.
OK, tan Yeah,
there's the other flag there.
Oh, my God!
How am I gonna do this, Anja?
I'm not doing this.
I can't do it either, Anja.
Yeah.
If it sends us home,
it sends us home.
OK.
Can't do it.
That was disgusting.
Disgusting.
I was surprised
we actually pulled through.
And sorry for splashing your face.
Oh, my gosh!
Gonna have five showers.
Tout droit?
Right, left, right, left?
Merci beaucoup.
Merci.
Whoo!
Oh, it's Angel and Frankie!
Let's go!
Ready?
Ready to make that jump.
Three, two, one, go!
Angel and Frankie,
you are the first team to check in!
Whoo-hoo-hoo-hoo!
Whoo, yes!
And, guys, you are one step closer
to winning the biggest prize
in Amazing Race Australia history.
Bless.
250 grand cash
and an Isuzu D-MAX
and an Isuzu MU-X!
Well done.
Thank you.
How do you feel?
First off, we're just fully grateful
to be here.
All glory to God, eh?
Blessed us
from the beginning to now,
and he's still providing for us
all the way through the race, and
And when we left Sydney,
we were in second-last place.
Now we're first.
We need to look at everyone
as opposition from this point on.
Rest up, recover, get your passports.
See you soon.
Come on. Good job.
Thank you.
Go that way.
Thank you.
We're not here to make friends.
Sorry, guys.
Oh, yeah!
Very proud of you.
I see Beau. I see Beau.
We ran our little butts off.
We
We bolted.
Oh, the lawyers.
Whoo!
The lawyers.
Three, two, one
Kathy and Chace
Hi, Beau.
You are the second team
to check in.
I'm so proud of us.
Why are you so emotional right now?
That was hard.
That was a tough run.
We started in seventh place
and now we're here.
Second.
Yeah.
It just makes me happy and proud.
I just can't believe it.
Well done. Bring it in.
Thank you.
Thanks, Beau.
Good job.
Hey, and it's OK to cry.
Thanks, Beau.
Thank you.
How you doing, Lill?
Whoa! I keep losing mine.
Don't think about what it is.
I know.
'Cause it'll make you cry.
Ooh, ginger one, bro.
Huh?
A ginger one.
What do we do when it's stuck, sir?
Oh, eugh! Eugh!
Sorry.
I know. I think I just got it
in my glove.
You just got it in my mouth, so
Gets you back for flicking it
in my eye before.
Oh, God.
Oh, shit.
That's the end for us.
I'm not doing it.
I know it tradition,
I know it's culture,
but I don't want to see this.
And I was hoping they wouldn't have
a challenge like this one.
I'm sorry,
we can'twe can't do this.
It's against our principles.
Not just walking the walk,
we're talking the talk.
Just can't do this, I'm so sorry.
I can't do it.
We can't do it.
No.
We stood by our convictions
and we were happy to take
the time penalty.
"Hurry, the last team to check in
will be eliminated."
Yep.
OK.
Oh, in we go!
Ooh, yeah.
Alright? How you doin', Stuey?
Bit slow, bro.
Bit slow?
Yeah.
Ready to speed it up a bit?
Yep.
Where are they? Eugh.
Love the smell
running down my shirt.
Smells like your farts.
Huh.
Ohhh!
Getting nice and dirty?
Lovely.
Lovely.
Stu, can you give me a
Teams have overtaken us.
Look, the boys are done
and they arrived five minutes ago,
so as fast as you can, man.
How'd we go? Yay!
Thank you.
Thank you.
Let's go.
We assumed that we were
down the back somewhere,
but we gained probably three or four
places because we just got in there.
There you go.
If we had to get back in that water,
whoa, we would not have been happy.
No, not that keen.
Let's go, quick.
Let's go.
Rapido, rapido, por favor.
Oh, wait, that's Spanish.
We were second
when we arrived there,
but we were just so focused
on what we were doing
that we looked back up and thought,
"Where are the other teams?"
They had left us in their dust.
We really got to dig in there, hey?
It's, like, really stuck on there,
some of them.
Good? Good?
I've done three.
How many have you done?
More?
Finished? Oh, finished, Lill.
Those girls are done.
Oh, it stinks.
They got here after us too.
Whoo-hoo!
This is making me never want to eat
bloody meat again.
Yay!
Oh, wait, let me take
these bad boys off.
Thank you!
Yay!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
OK.
Thank you.
Thank goodness.
Whoo!
Wow.
We did it, though. Good job.
We did, thank gosh.
Route Info.
After serving
their 30-minute penalty,
Bren and Anja are on their way
to the Pit Stop.
Danke. Shukran. Tschuss.
The market is like a maze
to find the right way
and to find the way out.
This one.
This one? OK.
Two streets, you know?
Yeah.
It's alright. Go.
That's a dead end here.
No, it's not.
We were so lost.
We had no idea where we were.
Maybe that dead end that side?
I'll go and have a quick look.
That look good?
Yeah.
Fun way in?
Do the jump together?
This is it, then.
Ah!
Ooh!
Lauren and Stephanie, you are
the third team to check in.
Well done, girls. Bring it in.
Go and rest. Go and rest.
Maybe get a towel.
Sorry, sorry.
I like how they're smiling.
They won't be smiling tomorrow, you
know what I'm saying? Yeah, yeah.
We did it!
Whoa!
Hi! How are you?
We made it!
Crystal and Reem,
you are the fourth team to check in.
Oh, my God!
Bring it in.
Thank you.
Good job. Oh, we've got another
team. Keep moving, girls.
Down here, down here.
Let's go.
Ready?
Go jump?
Hey! Hello, Beau!
Always wanted to do that.
Toni and Heath,
you're the fifth team to check in.
Yes!
Yes, halfway, halfway.
That's good.
That'll do.
Happy with that?
Yeah.
Meh, OK.
She's not. I'm stoked.
Didn't want to go out
on the first.
Well done, well done.
Thanks, Beau.
Koutoubia Gardens?
Koutoubia Garden?
Looks like my bedroom
before Mum cleaned it.
Ooh!
You sure
this is the right way?
I don't know. I hope so.
We couldn't actually
read the map properly.
They're coming. Let's go.
I started to panic a little bit.
I don't know if this looks familiar
or not.
I don't know what we were thinking.
We thought we knew, like,
the general direction.
But we did not.
But we didn't.
I really hope this is the right way.
There's Beau!
Keep up with me.
I'm slower.
Oh, my gosh!
Oh, my gosh, there's the mat!
Whoo!
That's the energy I'm talking about.
Amen, Beau, amen.
Sam and Alex,
you are the sixth team to check in.
Whoo!
Hey, never
in my wildest dreams
did I think we'd come sixth.
It's not first.
That's a good number.
But at least it's not last.
Yeah.
Absolutely.
How good.
What did you struggle with today?
For me, I usually love lemon,
but I don't think I'll be eating
lemon for a while.
Sprite, you're out, Coke, you're in.
Yeah, well, the lemon will be coming
out of you in about 45 minutes.
Bring it in.
Through the eye of a needle.
Good job.
Thank you, Beau.
Oh! Oh!
Anja, hold this.
Oh.
Hold this.
Oh, darling, come on.
Come here, bubba.
Come here.
Come on. It's alright, baby.
I don't know what we're gonna do
with it
Oh, don't kill it.
OK. No, no, no.
No.
Here house
You help it? Thank you.
Yeah, yeah.
Don't kill it, please.
Thank you.
OK.
Bro, we gotta catch up now.
As fast as you can, bro.
As fast as you can, man.
Come out?
Oh!
Oh, thank you.
We were the last ones
to get out.
Yeah!
I'd give you a hug, bro
Yeah, nah.
Thank you.
Cheers, brother,
thank you very much.
"Hurry, the last team to check in
will be eliminated."
OK.
Damn.
Let's go.
OK, let's go, mate.
Knowing that we are dead last,
we just don't want to be eliminated.
This is not where we want to be.
Let's go.
Stu's taking my bag.
How's your back, holding two bags?
I feel absolutely terrible.
Lucky we're close
'cause I am cooked.
I had to carry his bum bag,
so, you know, good trade.
Nearly there.
Let's go.
Oh, we got a friend!
He's a good boy!
Gee, some
Come on.
Oh, they picked up a dog.
Whoo! Ready?
Oh!
Oh!
Hello!
How you going?
Sam and Stu
Yeah?
Seventh team to check in.
Oh, yeah, baby!
Whoo!
Who's the
We brought a friend along the way.
I'm not meant to have favourites,
but come on.
That's OK.
Well done. Bring it in.
Good job. Good on you, man.
Thanks, mate.
Cheers, mate.
I like how you're carrying his bag.
Let's do this!
Gee, is that your dog
that come with them, or
Righto.
Let's go, let's go.
In that way?
I see the red and yellow flags!
Can we cut through?
Oh!
Wow.
Whoa, whoa, let's go!
Let's go, bro.
Hey, guys, how you doin'?
Hey.
Hey.
I love a footrace.
Stuart and Glennon, you are
..the eighth team to check in.
Oh!
That makes Morgan and Lilli
the ninth team to check in.
Oh, my God!
That's how close you were
to going
What happened, girls?
We got a bit lost.
We just got too excited.
It's really confusing in there.
Well done, gang, you're still alive.
Bring it in.
Not many people make it out
from where we're from,
from Elcho Island and Tiwi Island.
It's important
to inspire the younger ones
and a lot of not just
Tiwi and Yolngu people
but a lot of First Nations
that this is possible.
We could climb up
and take the cake.
I see Beau.
I see Beau, Anja.
Can you believe it?
Oh!
Oh, my God. There he is. Whoo-hoo!
We made it!
We haven't made it yet.
We've got to stand on the mat.
Come on, vegan star bunnies!
Whoo-hoo!
Oh! Hi, Beau.
Oh, we made it.
How you going?
Hello.
You're smiling.
Yeah.
We're always smiling.
We're the vegan bunnies.
High five.
High five!
Whoo!
Whoo!
Bren and Anja,
you are the last team to check in.
And you're eliminated.
No?
Wewe thought that.
And, um
..it is what it is.
It's all good, Bren, now.
It is all good.
Thank you. And you know what?
There's no shame in coming last.
We gave it our all.
That's right.
Tannery, I mean, you avoided that
like the plague.
I came into this race thinking,
well, if Anja couldn't do something
with regards to veganism, I would.
But I tell you what,
I got into that tannery,
it became so emotional.
We just thought
Yeah.
"I'm sorry, we just can't,
we can't do this."
We cannot do it.
And we're happy that we stuck by
our principles.
We need more people in the world
like you guys.
We got onto
The Amazing Race Australia,
so you can't be prouder than that.
But you guys know the rules.
Someone does have to go home.
So, unfortunately,
your time on the race is over.
That's OK, Beau, that's OK.
Thank you, Beau.
Oh, the highlight of
The Amazing Race Australia!
We wanted to inspire in people
that when you are vegan and over 50,
that you can still do it.
Go get a coffee.
Yeah, we'll get a coffee!
Yeah.
I hope that people will go,
"Oh, yeah, they're daggy
but they're fun."
Wouldn't mind a burger or something,
though, you know, now they're gone.
Next time on
The Amazing Race Australia
Oh, my God!
Who are these people?
Look how many there are!
It's the biggest event
in race history.
What the f
Three, two, one, go!
18 teams will come together
Oh, no!
Tones, are you alright?
..and compete
Is this a joke?
Oh, my God, there's so many colours.
..against each other.
Shit, that's hard.
One brick at a time.
Sorry, sorry, you're kind of
in the way here.
The cluster of 18 teams,
it was really overwhelming.
Check that way.
- Come on, Tammy!
- I think we're coming last.
We are so lost.
That has to be the first time
that's happened.
