[Zubeia moans]
[Ezran] Soren and Zym,
keep each other safe.
Search for the Dragon Queen
- [Mushroom Mage] Sh, sh, sh. Sh, sh.
- wherever she may be.
We'll find her, King Ezran.
I've brought you something.
[gasps]
The Sun Seed.
And there's something else.
I've brought you an army.
Queen Janai
you have been betrayed.
[opening theme music playing]
[serene music plays]
[Pyrrah roars]
Ah! Feel that, Hat?
Those are the bracing winds of adventure!
[laughs]
[screeches]
[groans]
Hey, don't worry, Zym.
We'll find your mom.
We just need to pick somebody up first.
[sighs]
[groans]
- [Pyrrah lands]
- [gasps]
[grumbles]
[laughs]
See? I told you
I was gonna pick somebody up.
Soren! [chuckles]

Oh. This is a nice hug,
but the duration
is beginning to feel excessive.
[grunts]
[sighs]
I'm happy to see you, too.
Zym's mom is missing. We need your help.
One of the Six Horns has betrayed us.
She has taken her army
and joined my brother.
Karim's threats are no longer empty
with General Miyana's might behind them.
- My Queen, we understand.
- Well, I do not!
I do not understand
how a traitor sat amongst you,
and not one of you noticed.
It's the masks.
- All of you hide your true feelings.
- No, we're not hiding anything.
The masks are merely tradition.
You sound like him,
my treacherous brother.
Loyal to the old ways
instead of your queen.
No, that's not what I meant.
The six generals of the Sunfire armies
have always worn the masks,
just as the queen wears the crown.

[Pyrrah grunts]
[Zym whines]
[whines]
Based on these claw markings,
she was unsteady
tripping over herself.
And there's this strange dark ooze
on the wall here.
Was she sick?
Remember those creepy,
corrupted creatures in Lux Aurea?
She was bitten by one.
I know. I was there.
- The bite barely scratched her.
- Maybe, but the wound festered.
It just got worse and worse,
like an infection,
but magicky and gross.
Why didn't you tell me that earlier?
Zubeia didn't think it was that bad.
She didn't want to worry, Zym.
[whines]
Ooh! I know!
Whenever I have to talk to you
about this stuff and Zym's around,
- I'll just use word hands.
- [groans]
It's this fun game
where you act out words.
We play it at parties.
- I'm familiar.
- [Soren] Well, that can't be true,
because you don't go to parties.
You certainly didn't come to any
of my Crownguard Bonding
Barbecue Game Night Extravaganzas.
Hey, you're just leaving?
Where are you going?
That's word hands for "up."
[Corvus] There's an unusual stretch
of flattened forest a few miles out.
To me, the pattern
and angle of fallen trees
suggests something's crashed there.
You mean someone?
[whines]
[sorrowful music playing]
[breathes heavily]
[sobbing]
[screaming]
[screams]
[grunting]
- [Pyrrah grumbles]
- [Corvus sighs]
This doesn't add up.
- She should be here.
- Maybe she flew away.
There should be
claw indentations from taking off.
The tree tops should be blown
in the direction she flew,
but there's none of that.
She crashed here and never left.
- And yet
- [Corvus] She's not here.
- [sniffing]
- [Corvus] Somehow she just poof.
[whines]
So where is she? What am I not seeing?
- Mushrooms!
- What?
[Soren] There's a bunch where she crashed!
[Zym whines]
And then they form this weird path
that goes into the forest.
[Zym sniffs, whines]
- I've never seen a mushroom like this.
- Yeah, me neither.
[sniffs] You think it's edible?
No, and please don't find out.
This mushroom path is our only clue.
- Good job, Zym.
- [moans]
- What do you say we follow it?
- [Soren] Mm-hm, mm-hm, mm-hm.
Soren, spit it out!
- [Corvus] Hat, you too.
- [Hat groans]
[Pyrrah grumbles]
[Janai] Our future is in ashes.
The seed is gone.
Aaravos taunts me in my dreams
with visions of destruction and despair,
and now my own people turn against me.
[Amaya] I know you feel that all is lost,
but you can still fix this.
As long as you don't try to do it alone.
In Katolis, we have a story,
The King with 1,000 Eyes.
He was betrayed by a trusted advisor,
and he began to doubt everyone around him.
So he made them all spies,
turning one against another.
His seeds of doubt grew
into tangled vines of paranoia
that strangled his kingdom.
His fear became
a self-fulfilling prophecy.
One by one, everyone abandoned him.
The king died friendless,
his kingdom consumed by chaos.
It's a nice thought,
our kingdom would rise again,
empowered by the potential
of the Sun Seed.
It seems in a way, she was right.
History loves
a twist of irony, doesn't it?
[ominous music playing]
So much depends on so tiny a thing.
- I hold fate itself between my fingers.
- Well, don't drop it.
Once we have used the Sun Seed
to heal Sorghum's sight,
he will join our cause
and we will be unstoppable.
It will bring me no joy
to end my sister's reign
but I will do what I must
- for us.
- [chuckles]
Don't forget about them.
[Karim] And for them.

- [whimpers]

- Ooh!

[Soren] Oh, no, no, no. Sorry, little guy.
Um. Oh. Uh, we're looking for a mother,
a a caring, loving mom.
Her baby needs to find her.
[excited chittering]
[dramatic music playing]
- [Zym yelps]
- [Corvus grunts]
[grunting]
[grunts] Ah!
[grunts] Ah! Oh, the leg. Not good.
- [yelps]
- [chittering]
[grunts, screams]
[screams, grunts]
- He stopped.
- [Zym groans]
- [excited chittering]
- Maybe he's ready to talk?
- [heavy footstep]
- [men scream]
[growls]
I hate to say this, but
there is a humongous fungus among us.
- It's a trap.
- [Zym whines]
[heavy footsteps]
[chuckles]
[Zym whines]
[serene music playing]
[Janai] It took me all night,
but I found a human
who had a copy of your story.
The King with 1,000 Eyes.
You left out one important detail,
not everyone betrayed the king.
His true love remained
long after his people abandoned him.
In the end,
he grew suspicious even of her loyalty.
He banished her.
You are my heart and my truth.
If I ever start to doubt you,
I'll know I am truly lost.
So tell me
Do you think I can lead my people
after everything that's happened,
all the mistakes I've made?
Do you really still have faith in me?
[mushpals chittering]
[screams]

I didn't know fungus folks grow those.
I guess it's a mush-tache, huh? [chuckles]
[excited chittering]
- [laughs]
- [Zym barks]
Oh, no. You're all turning into mushrooms.
- Soren, calm down. It's okay.
- [Hat chitters]
Ah! Ah! I'm turning into a mushroom.
- [mushrooms whine]
- [heavy footstep]
Huh?
[growls]
[Mushroom Mage] I suggest you put
the Mush-cap back on.
It's how he knows you're a Mush-friend.
[chuckles]
[snorts]
Fine, but not because I'm afraid of him.
Because I look great in hats.

I am Mukho, the Mushroom Mage.
Apologies for the way
you were brought here.
This place is special,
and we have to keep it Mush-hush.
[chuckles] Now, if I'm not mush-taken,
you're here about the Dragon Queen.
So you do have her.
What have you done with her?
Whoa! I have treated her
with my Mush-potions and salves.
All she needs now is time to mend
and a way to keep her spirits up.
[barks]
I imagine seeing
this sweet little Mush-kin
might help with that. Hm? Hm?
- [chuckles]
- [grunts]
[serene music playing]
[dramatic music playing]
[people whispering]
Thank you all for gathering here.
Times have been difficult. I know.
Every one of you has faced
these difficulties with courage,
and we have all made mistakes,
myself included.
But here we are.
Here we are, the truest of our people
with the courage to tear down
my sister's false reign.
The time will come
when that courage is tested.
At that point,
we will turn to our greatest weapon.
Faith.
Doubt.
That is our enemy's greatest weapon.
They will use it
to consume us from within,
but we will not let them
so long as we believe.
Believe in our cause.
That is how we succeed.
We may be outnumbered, but we are right.
Our mission is blessed
by Sol Regem himself,
and he will lead us to a great victory!

It is the creation of a Sunfire Kingdom

[whimpering]

- [barks]

Zym, you're you're fun sized!
[barks]

- Yeah.

His mom is the only family he's got.

[Zym whimpers]
[barks]

[Zym whines]
The corruption magic
that infected me is dangerous.
I was lucky the mushroom mage found me.
But his treatments take time.
[pants, whines]
I will heal and recover here.
But you should go.
- [whimpers]

Our future is uncertain.
There are dangerous times ahead,
but I'm ready to face them
with you.
I'm done putting off the good things
for fear of the bad.
[hopeful music playing]
It's time to set our wedding.
I caught Pyrrah's eye and waved her down.
Everyone ready to go?
Wait. Where's Soren?
Corvus! Look! [chuckles]
I'm Hat's hat. [laughs]
[sighs]
