The Amazing Race (2001) s06e04 Episode Script

What if It Isn't Sanitary

Phil: Previously on "The Amazing Race" 9 teams set out from Norway and raced 500 miles to Stockholm, Sweden.
While others competed in a bar made of ice Yeah! Gus and Hera were lost in the dark.
That's not the right street.
Somebody help us! Phil: But steady teamwork Hera: My dad was the surgeon and I was the nurse.
Phil: Propelled them out of last.
You're team number 3.
A detour based on counting baffled Bolo.
66, 68, 80.
And made Don desperate.
This is the longest day of my life.
Phil: At the roadblock, the men breezed.
Hallelujah! While Victoria wheezed.
Just take a breath.
Phil: But it was Lena who struggled the most.
I don't think there's one other girl in this race that could be doing this.
She's a trooper.
Phil: Lena worked into the night, but even with Kristy's moral support Kristy: It's OK.
Keep with it.
Stay strong.
The hidden clue remained hopelessly out of reach.
Phil: You've both been eliminated from the race.
8 teams remain.
Who will be eliminated next? Phil: This is Stockholm, the capital of Sweden and one of the most beautiful cities in Scandinavia.
And in the middle of the city's harbor, the "Af Chapman.
" This former navy ship was the third pit stop in a race around the world.
Teams arrived here at the end of the last leg for a mandatory rest period.
The 8 teams waiting here have no idea what's in store for them.
They have to figure out for themselves how to get to the next yellow and red route markers by solving clues they'll find in sealed envelopes.
Will front runners Hayden and Aaron and Kris and Jon, continue to outwit and outpace the other teams? Can Don and Mary Jean keep up with the younger, faster teams? Hayden and Aaron, who were the first to arrive at 2:04 P.
M.
, will depart at 2:04 A.
M.
"Make your way to the top of Stockholm's town hall tower.
" Phil: Teams must now make their way approximately 2 1/2 miles into Stockholm and get to the top of town hall tower, where they'll find their next clue.
Let's go.
"Make your way to the top of Stockholm's town hall tower.
" Let's go.
Let's go.
Hayden: Aaron and I are leaving basically tied for first.
Because we came in with Kris and Jon and they're leaving right after us, so, we're going to all go together.
Where's town hall center tower? City Hall.
That light at the top? Where the light is? Thank you.
Do you know what time it opens? 10 AM.
Thank you.
Aaron: We're a little bummed out.
We have this lead, then all of a sudden, we lose it.
Why don't we go to the Sheraton? You guys want to roll back over about 9:30 in the morning or something? Yeah.
We're gonna try to catch a little shuteye.
"Make your way to the top of Stockholm's town hall tower.
" Hera and I have got in to a stride where if you're going to lead, lead, if you're not, don't bother the other one.
We'll go over here under the lamp and start looking for it.
All right.
"Stockholm's town hall tower.
" Jonathan: All of our problems have been with each other, not the race.
There's no additional info? No.
Victoria: It's to the point where we want to kill each other, and then we're OK, and then we want to kill each other.
And it's just this up and down thing.
It's just vicious.
There's Gus and Hera.
Let's ask somebody.
Excuse me, do you know where the town hall is? It's that tower.
Oh, OK.
Thank you.
What time does it open? 10 AM.
10:00 in the morning? Thank you.
Why don't we go to the hotel over there? "Stockholm's town hall tower.
" Rebecca: When I met Adam, he didn't even cut his own toenails, believe it or not.
His mother did.
I was like, if you want to be my boyfriend, you have to cut your own toenails.
That way! No, no.
That way! Adam: I am definitely a baby, and I live at home with my mommy and daddy.
The town hall? See that little green tower? - That's it? Thank you.
- Thank you.
Both: Flag.
"Gate is open weekdays" - 7:00.
- 7:00 A.
M.
It's 6:05.
"Stockholm's town hall tower.
" Kendra: I like the finer things in life.
He likes down and dirty.
We say that he's beer and dirt, and i'm champagne and flowers.
Freddy: Here's the flagged entrance.
Honey, come on.
No other teams are here, which is so bizarre.
Maybe they went to have breakfast.
What time do they open? 7:00 A.
M.
We've got to go to the tower.
- Good morning.
- Good morning.
Wake up, Boo Boo.
Go, it's 7:00, go.
Are you guys finding it really odd that they're not here? Anything could have happened.
- Come on.
- All right.
"Fly to the city of Dakar in the country of Senegal.
" we're going to Africa.
Phil: Teams must fly more than 3,500 miles to Africa's western-most country, Senegal.
They must fly into the country's capital city, Dakar, to find their next clue waiting for them just outside the airport.
Whoo! Going to Africa! - Whoo! - Africa! You've been wanting to go to Africa, baby.
Whoo-hoo! - We need to go to, uh - The airport.
Let's go.
- Airport.
- Airport.
How far? How far? Forty minutes.
40 minutes? OK.
We're in a hurry.
The train is faster, isn't it, to the airport? Yes.
- Freddy: it's OK.
- Kendra: It's not OK.
We don't have any money.
You said you wouldn't spend the money on a hotel, but you're going to pay $50 for a cab ride that takes even longer to get there? That doesn't make any sense.
Honey, we can relax and not have to deal with the train, with the stress.
Oh, but I can sleep outside or on some dirty floor that's disgusting.
You need to think before you make decisions.
This is her Bolo impression.
Bolo's lips disappear when he gets angry.
"Town hall tower.
" Let's go.
Bolo: Our time on the race has brought us closer together, because we're not arguing as much, and being, I'm better than you are, you're better than me are, because we're both so strong-headed.
We need to go to the town hall tower.
Lori: Let's go! Drive! Drive! Pow! Pow! "Stockholm's town hall tower.
" Let's go.
Don: We got up this morning, I thought about this like a prize fight.
We got bloodied in Round 3, but the fight isn't over and we're rested and we're coming out for Round 4 fighting.
Town hall tower, please.
Oh, God.
Hurry, hurry, hurry! Daddy, it's open.
Ok, let's go.
7:00.
It's open.
We should have come an hour ago.
"Fly to the city of Dakar.
" What do you see up there? I see people at the top of there already.
Senegal, here we come.
How'd they get up there if it doesn't open till 10:00? Taxi.
We want the international airport.
We need to get to Dakar, Senegal.
There's a flight leaving at 11:20 AM.
That's the absolute soonest of all of the airlines? Yeah.
- Thank you very much.
- Thank you.
Rebecca: We need to get to Dakar in Senegal.
Air France has flights by way of Paris to Dakar.
Thank you for being so helpful.
I'm really, really curious what happened to the other 4 teams.
It's going to be open at 10:00.
Jon: We have all this time on our hands because we got here so early.
We have to wait until 10:00.
- It's open.
- There's the flag.
- I told you! - That sucks, man.
"Fly to Dakar, capital city of Senegal.
" let's go.
Running late.
I cannot go on this road.
Ok.
Here it is, right here.
"Fly to the city of Dakar.
" Going to the airport.
Fast, fast, fast.
That's the tower's down here.
OK.
"Fly to the city of Dakar.
" Don: We've been practicing stairs, thank God.
It's actually nice out today.
I'm going over there.
I'm just going to check it out.
I see somebody over there.
We're stupid! That's what we get.
We should have been waiting out front.
"Fly to the city of Dakar.
" Hayden: Do we have to take a taxi? I traveled, but let's take the train.
That's going to be faster.
Why are they in such a hurry? - Is it open? - Yes! Oh, my God! We are such idiots.
"Fly to the city Dakar in the country of Senegal.
" What do you say? Train? - Yeah.
- Let's do it.
What train goes to the airport? This one right here? OK.
Come on honey.
Honey, come on.
- That sucked.
- We should have known.
Which train? It's the express.
Thank you, sir.
We need to get to Dakar, Senegal.
We gotta find a place to buy a ticket.
Ok.
via Paris with Air France.
What's going on, y'all, guys? Gus: You want to go with us? Sure.
Is this the fastest one so far? Fastest one.
Then, we're buying 4 tickets for all of us.
We're going right now.
We've got our tickets.
That's what we get.
So stupid! We're going to have to makeup some major time.
It sucks! I think we're last.
We want to go from here to Dakar, Africa.
The SAS flight leaves here at 11:10 AM and gets into Dakar at 7:55 PM.
Book it.
We're the only ones on this flight, we're hoping, so that we can put the fear into everybody else, thinking that we have taken a different flight.
Obviously, when we get to Paris, we're gonna hook up everybody.
We're going to talk to a ticket person.
You will arrive 7:55 P.
M.
In Dakar.
- In Dakar.
- Dakar.
Thank you very much.
Both: We're going to Africa.
We have to go upstairs.
I'm gonna have an ulcer.
- To Dakar.
- Dakar, Senegal.
Aaron: We made it here.
We're getting on a flight to Senegal on Air France.
We need to get out of here.
I need the one that gets there the earliest, into Dakar.
Thank you so much.
We got to hurry.
I thought we were in bad shape, but we made it.
Phil: All 8 teams are now making their way to Dakar, Senegal, via Paris.
There it is.
I see it! I see it! Run for the flag.
Aaron! "Find out who wrote the enclosed poem, "Femme Noire.
" "Make your way to the author's final resting place to retrieve your next clue.
" Phil: Teams must now figure out that the author of the poem given to them is influential literary writer and ex-Senegalese president Léopold Senghor.
Once they know this, teams must make their way nearly 10 miles to the cemetery to find Senghor's grave and their next clue.
Oh, my God.
The poem, "Femme Noir.
" Let's go get a taxi.
We need a taxi.
Find another taxi.
- What the hell's going on? - I have no idea.
We gotta go to the cementery.
Do you know where we're going? No.
- Can you get me a taxi? - Wait.
Cemetery.
Cemetery.
- Yes, do you know? - Yes.
 This is kind of sketchy.
Gus: Oh, there's some taxis.
Twenty? Ok.
It's 20.
It's 20.
Let's go.
We are looking for a cemetery.
The man that wrote this.
Leopold Sedar Senghor.
- The black poet.
- Ahh! Yes, who died.
He died.
In cemetery.
It's Bel Air.
Bel Air.
We want to go to Bel Air.
Where is he buried? Dead.
Dead.
Sleep.
- Bel Air.
- Bel Air? Victoria, Let's go.
The cabs are over here.
I need somebody that speaks to me in English.
[speaking French.]
Get me somebody that can speak me English.
[speaking native language.]
No, no, no.
English.
- Jon.
- Jon.
And you're going to help me.
- Yes.
- And translate? Ok, let's go.
We'd like to go.
- Victoria: Fast.
- Fast.
You sure you know where it is? Yes.
OK.
You don't look like you know where it is.
Adam: So far, Africa sucks.
Dakar, is by far and away the worst, most nightmarish place I've ever been to in my life.
We have to be sure.
We cannot drive around Africa.
We don't you know? We have to be sure.
No problem.
This is weird.
Honey, did you find out anything? What's his name? Who wrote that? I don't know the name.
It's in downtown.
Taxi.
Oh, man, this is a jalopy.
Oh, this is craziness, so far.
Yeah, it's mayhem.
I can't believe that airport.
I can't believe the people.
The whole thing seems just unsafe.
Cemetery.
- Bel Air.
- OK, got it.
Oh, this is so gross.
We've got to have a taxi.
You know where you're going.
Don't touch.
Ok, let's go.
We're not sure who wrote "Femme Noir.
" Hopefully, we're going to the right cemetery.
What are you doing? We're in a very big hurry.
Yeah, no problem.
What is he doing? Honey, I don't know.
Putting air in the tire or something.
This jalopy is getting ready to bust.
You've got to be kidding me.
Jon: Fast, fast, fast.
Vite, vite.
Beep, beep.
No, not beep, beep, Jon.
That's not the word.
Mary Jean: We're racing in a competicion.
What's a matter? Huh? [speaking French.]
Don: Flat tire.
Oh, God! We have a flat tire! Oh, God Almighty.
Is that anybody with us? Oh, no.
There's Don and Mary Jean, got a flat tire.
Oh, no.
Mary Jean: My God.
There's another team.
Oh, God.
We have a flat tire.
Can you believe it? Ohh! Did it fall down? Guess we need Bolo to lift the car up.
Hurry, we're in a race.
We must win.
We've got to lift it up.
Un, deux, trois.
We got it.
We got it.
Once again, the fickle finger of fate has diddled us.
Cemetery? Cimetiére.
Oh, yeah.
I mean, we can be walking around here for hours not finding the right one.
Oh, I know.
Babe, I don't think this is it.
Maybe it's in a different one.
Yeah, in different one.
Hera: This is stressful.
I don't know where we're going.
He could be taking us off into the depths of the earth as far as I know.
This is crazy, man.
Jonathan: Stop it.
OK? I'm not going to lose because you get fearful of where we are.
Oh, these smells! I can't take it.
What are we, like, driving through sewage? Ugh! Isn't it crazy? I know, I really love it, though.
We're so removed from our culture.
It's enlightening, I think.
That's gonna be the cemetery.
We're in the right place.
OK, stop, stop.
Where's the grave? Entrance? Closed, closed.
Closed.
They're saying it's closed.
It doesn't open until 7:30.
Thank you.
7:30 A.
M.
You've got to be kidding me.
We're going to sleep out here? Rebecca: No! It's not open.
We have to wait until 7:30 A.
M.
- $5.
00.
- This is not No negotiation.
No, my friend.
$10.
Not $5.
00.
I don't think you understand.
We didn't want to fill the tires up with air.
I feel very unsafe.
I feel we're in the middle of ghetto Africa.
Here's 5, 6, 7.
- It's a no, no.
- That's it.
7:30 A.
M.
Come on, Hera.
Let's go.
It's not open? 7:30? I say we stop at some kind of hotel.
We're going to a hotel.
Trying to find the cemetery where this author resides right now? That would be Bel Air.
All right.
Let's go.
We're so last right now.
7:00 A.
M.
- Oh, at 7:00? - Yes.
There's a hotel down there, Don.
Right here, baby.
Come on.
All right.
We found it.
Closed.
I'm, like, relived.
We got lucky on this one.
It was a humbling day.
Mary Jean: "Your clue will be inside the book at the foot of the grave.
" What's your name again? Ejal.
We're goin' up the hill to the cemetery.
The cemetery is not far.
You from Africa and me from America.
Power.
Jon, come on.
Ejal, come on.
This is creepy.
I don't want to walk across them.
Can I walk across it? Yeah.
Come on.
Bolo: Here's the clue right here.
Let's go, let's go.
"Make your way to the beach village of Kayar.
" Phil: Teams must now make their way 35 miles north to the small fishing village of Kayar.
Once there, they must search the store fronts for this carpenter shop to find their next clue.
Let's go, Lori.
Gus: Hera, Hera, Hera.
I got it.
I got it.
I've got it.
I've got it! Let's walk way away from it so no one sees us.
See anybody else? No.
Do you know where the village of Kayar is? Can you take us? - Go, hurry! - Hurry, hurry, hurry.
"The beach village of Kayar.
" Quickly, quickly.
Kayar.
Does he know that? Yeah, he knows.
Mary Jean: Let's go.
- Where is it? - It's this way.
Let's go.
"Make your way to the beach village of Kayar.
" Tell him to take any shortcuts.
Shortcuts? [speaking native language.]
[whispering.]
Adam! Adam! It's here, it's here.
"Make your way to the beach village of Kayar.
" This guy, he will take you up to this place.
This is it.
Grab it, baby.
Grab it.
Let's go.
I have the clue.
You know Kayar? Let's go.
We need to go to Kayar.
Kendra: How much in U.
S.
Dollars? $30.
- Freddy: 30.
OK? - Driver: No problem.
Thank you.
I think we're the last to leave.
Yep.
We've got to get to the business called Vu Nom Carpenter.
So, it's gonna be a carpenter thing.
We've got to pay him, Lori.
He's wanting $60.
I'm not giving him $60.
I'm not paying him.
Well, we've got to do something with him.
I don't care.
I don't have it.
You want to go to jail? Shut up! God! You're an idiot.
Give me this.
There's $40.
See how much an ass you're making of yourself? That's the attitude i'm talking about right there.
Gus: You can give them $40 and be done with this.
Girl, we got to go.
- Hera: where we going? - This way.
"Charpentier?" Don: There's a level of poverty which you see, but you know, the colors are dazzling, kids are all smiling and playing.
We find it fascinating.
You know where to go, right? Here is good.
Here is good.
Stop.
Stop.
There it is.
Is that it? "Stack 'em up or pile 'em up.
" Phil: A detour is a choice between 2 tasks, each with its own pros and cons.
In this detour, teams need to choose between 2 ways the locals deal with fish.
Stack 'em up or pull 'em up.
In stack 'em up, teams walk to this fish stacking area then, they must carry enough baskets of fish to the work area to properly cover a drying table.
Once they've stacked the fish up properly, the fisherwoman will hand them their next clue.
In pull 'em up, teams must walk down the beach and choose one of these fishing boats, then, their captain will take them to a fertile fishing area where they'll have to use these traditional lines to catch a total of 4 fish.
Once they've pulled them up, they must bring the fish to this man on shore, who will hand them their next clue.
Easy to catch fish or easier to stack fish? Stack fish.
Stack.
We got to do stack 'em up.
They're coming.
There they are.
Oh, Daddy, I see it.
Gus: Go get it! Go get it.
"Stack 'em or pull 'em up.
" I think I see it, yeah.
There's the box.
Detour.
"Stack 'em or pull 'em up.
" - Gus: Let's fish.
- OK.
You sure? It could take us a little while to catch fish.
- I'm feeling like the fish.
- OK.
We probably can stack quicker, can't we? Let's wait and get down there and look.
OK, who wants candy? Oh, yeah! Jon: I started handing out candy to all the children.
They just have a great heart and they're innocent and it's just a great experience.
Victoria: Jon wants children so bad, and I think he'd be a great father.
I would love to have a baby.
We've already picked out the names.
OK.
This is what we have to do.
Where do we get the fish? Across on the bar.
Jon: So, 2 buckets, right? Oh, my God.
Big side up, tail out, right? Big side up, tail out.
Oh, my God.
This is it? - This is it.
- This is it.
- We're here? - Yeah.
Let's go.
Stop here.
How much in U.
S.
Dollars? It's $40.
You said $30 earlier.
40.
You give me 30.
Nobody told us that.
Look, it's a clue box.
Clue box.
- "Stack 'em up " - "Stack 'em or pull 'em.
" Let's do the first one.
Hey! Hey! Hey! Detour.
"Stack 'em up, or pull 'em in?" Which one, baby? What's faster? - I say stack them up? - Stack 'em up.
Yeah, stack them.
We're going to go stack some fish.
It's rough as hell out there right now.
That means we need to stack the fish.
- Thank you.
- OK.
Oh, my God! Good lord.
Whoa! You have plenty.
You've got enough for one full day of work.
Now, I don't want to hear anymore.
That's enough.
You make more than that in one day than you do in a whole year.
OK, here comes the next team.
Here's Jon and Kris.
Keep it going.
Keep it going.
Hurry up.
How do we do it? Is this good? It has to be up this way.
This way? Another team, huh? Fish.
Is it super heavy? Yep.
Go to a marked table.
I am.
Bolo: Bunch of nasty ass fish.
- Got it? - Go left, go left.
My friend, help me.
You're sticking around for $10? - No, no, no.
- Yes, you are.
It's over.
$10, here, $5.
00 here.
They want to rip us off all the time.
I'm good.
- That was Hell.
- I know it was Hell.
You keep putting them on top of each other.
We're going to have to do twice as many.
Let's go.
They're catching up to us.
Good job, babe.
Keep going! Yours are going the wrong way.
They are not! They're going the right way.
That's tails.
That's a smell that'll wake you up in the morning.
We love sushi.
We've got to work hard.
We cannot be the last ones out of here.
I had one bite, and we have not caught anything.
Not even a bite.
[heaving.]
Don's seasick.
I don't feel well.
You sick? Yes.
I never want to go fishing again in my entire life.
I am feeling really sick.
That's a fish.
I've got a flounder.
We got 3 to go.
Good job, Daddy.
Got 2 fish, Don.
Oh, sweetheart.
If you could throw up again, maybe you could attract some more.
Don't worry.
Is that good? Yeah! "Travel by taxi to the salt mounds at Lac Rose.
" Phil: Teams must now travel by taxi more than 20 miles to this completely pink lake called Lac Rose.
Teams will find their next clue amongst the surrounding salt dunes.
Let's go! Go fast.
Fast, fast, fast.
- One after another.
- Almost there.
This is disgusting.
Is this right? The table has to be covered, right? - Aaron: No holes.
- No holes.
OK? Thank you.
"Travel by taxi to the salt mounds of Lac Rose.
" - Kris and Jon are done.
- Good for them.
Damn! - OK.
- OK.
OK.
All right.
"Travel by taxi to the salt mounds.
" Go, baby.
Are we done? Thank you.
"Salt mounds at Lac Rose.
" Anyway, here we are and Don's seasick but I'm not supposed to talk about it.
Because it makes him worse.
I'm in.
Good job, Hera.
2 to go.
I don't feel well, but I'm trying to keep my head in the game as much as possible.
Oh, I see the mounds and mounds of salt.
Wow! Right here.
Right here.
Roadblock.
"Who wants to bathe in rose water?" You.
Phil: A roadblock is a task only one person can perform, and no person can complete more than 6 on the entire rice race.
In this roadblock, that person has to wade in the pink lake and using the traditional tools provided, harvest enough salt to fill a 25-gallon basket on shore.
Once they've filled up their basket, a supervisor will hand the team their next clue.
You cannot take any salt already harvested.
You have to get it from the bottom.
Yes.
Do you see what they're doing? Put your feet on it, take the shovel, and scoop it in.
I don't think he's doing it right.
Pick it up out of the water.
Good job! Got it.
Keep going.
Keep going.
We're almost done.
Fill! Fill! - Nice.
- Thank you.
"Travel by taxi to the salt mounds of Lac Rose.
" We got to hurry up, Adam.
Okay.
We're in last place.
Fast, fast.
Thank you, thank you.
OK.
Taxi.
I got another one, Don.
Sweetheart.
Uno mas.
There, we've got 3 fish now.
Number 4, sil vous plait.
Where are we? I don't think this is the right way.
Here's the flagged entrance.
Follow them.
Here we are.
Clue box.
"Who wants to bathe in rose water?" I guess I'll do it.
You're doing it.
More teams just came.
You're doing good.
What if this isn't sanitary? Why is this water red? Kendra: The first thing that came into my mind was maybe it's blood in the water.
What is she doing? Can I just do it with a shovel? Honey, can I do it just with a shovel into the bucket? You have to use the basket.
Why did I let her do this? Use that bucket to bring back the salt.
You've got to get wet, Hayden.
Good job.
Nice job.
That's not that much.
Keep on going.
"Who wants to bathe in rose water?" - Do you want to do it? - I'll do it.
Fill it all the way up, baby.
You're doing good.
Roadblock.
"Who wants to bathe in rose water?" That's me.
The heavier you can fill the basket, the more you'll get.
Want to do it? It just looks like a manual labor thing.
"You must not take any salt that's already on boats.
" what do I do with this? Scoop it up.
Go all the way down, scoop it.
Help me.
Doing so good.
I can't believe it.
You're good.
There you go, bring it on back.
You've got it.
This is really heavy.
Good job.
Damn, she's hot! Kris is doing great and looks even better doing it.
Put it up on your head! That's what I'm talking about.
You go, girl.
There you go.
Good shot, Hayden.
2 more.
Honey, I can't see.
It's burning my eyes.
Adam, what's the problem? Rebecca, I can't see.
Shut up! I can't see! Give me your eye.
Does that feel better? Run out there and kick some ass! Come on.
Doing a good job.
Do it careful, careful, careful.
Thank you.
Wait a minute.
"Make your way to Ile de Gorée and search the streets for your next pit stop.
" Phil: Teams must now travel nearly 30 miles by taxi to Dakar and take a ferry to the island of Gorée.
For more than 300 years this island was a prison where slaves were held before being sent to the new world.
Today, it is a popular tourist destination and memorial.
Now, teams must run through the streets and find this place, the pit stop for this leg of the race.
The last team to check in here may be eliminated.
Let's go!  Let's go, let's go, let's go.
Come on, Adam.
You're a man.
Got a lot of girls doing this.
You're stronger than that.
My back hurts, Rebecca, shut up! Just shut up, Rebecca! I should have done this one.
You got that, babe.
Throw it in there, you got it.
Nice.
You got it.
"Make your way to the next pit stop.
" Ile de Gorée.
Let's go, get out of here.
He looks like the person who needs these.
One, two, three, four.
Merci.
"Salt mound at Lac Rose.
" We're last.
No, Don and M.
J.
are still out there.
I love you.
Let's go.
Every time Don threw up, I caught fish.
Let's get out while we can.
Where is he? "The salt mounds at Lac Rose.
" Let's go.
There you go, come on.
Now you've got it.
She's stronger than Adam.
Yeah! That ought to be good! Yeah! Good job, man.
That was quick and ass kicking.
"To the next pit stop.
" We gotta go.
Let's go.
You blew the other 3 girls away! Oh, my God.
Nice job.
Okay.
Thank you very much.
"Make your way to the Ile de Gorée.
Ile de Gorée.
How did Kris beat me? She kicked your butt.
Baby, you rocked.
Baby, please, come on.
Come on, that's it! Unbelievable.
He's a girl.
It's all over.
"Take a taxi to the city of Dakar.
" Let's go.
Slow and steady, don't drop it, babe.
Honey.
Rebecca, shut up.
I swear to God, Rebecca.
Lori and Adam started at the same time.
It's baffling.
That's a girl, Adam's a boy.
I'm praying he doesn't wimp out on me.
Keep at it.
Just slowly come, bring it back to me.
You got it.
That should do it.
One more.
Adam, do it halfway.
No, no, no, no.
Why are we stopped? What's going on up there? Is there another way? This is not good, man.
Over here, honey, look to your right.
It kills.
Stop yelling.
Just back up straight.
You got it.
Good? Yes! We've got a pit stop.
I'm physically weak, apparently.
If you'd stop being a wussy-boy, then maybe no one would say that.
I know the other teams are close behind.
I know.
You should plow through them.
You're doing a good job, keep going.
You're the man.
We got the mack daddy driver.
He's got the stogie hanging out, he's on the cellphone.
They're all moving now.
Calm down, Jon, you're gonna get us some trouble.
Why don't you just be quiet? We're in a race, man, a race, competition.
Move, move, move! Get the car to the ferry.
No problem.
If we can get on the first ferry, we'll be good.
I see salt mounds.
There it is.
Stop.
"Who wants to bathe in rose water?" I guess I'll do it.
You can't take salt off the boats.
You can't take any salt off the boat.
What you say? Look at these people and how they do it.
Put the basket underneath you in the water.
Our cab driver took off, and, like, just used side streets all the way down.
Thank you very much.
Tickets to the Gorée ferry.
Thank you.
- That's it? - Yeah.
Jonathan and Victoria just showed up.
This is unbelievable.
Unbelievable.
Go buy the tickets.
We might miss the ferry.
Tickets.
Thank you.
Let's go.
Boat is full, man.
Please, please.
It's full.
It's go time.
Come on, Lori.
Let's go, babe, now.
They're here.
I told you they're here.
They're here already? Ok, thank you.
That's it.
OK, great.
Thank you.
2 tickets.
I need to get tickets.
We have us caught up.
Good job, Daddy, keep up the good work.
"Who wants to bathe in rose water?" I'm going to have to do it, Don.
I know it, I know it.
- You're too sick.
Don: I feel badly about her doing this.
You're doing incredible, sweetheart.
You're unbelievable.
It stinks.
I don't think it's us.
You're just so unsupportive.
I felt like I was supportive.
And the whole time you're screaming at me.
I'm like, "baby, you're doing great.
" and you're like, "Shut up.
" I heard you.
I couldn't see.
Do you think I'm faking my back hurt? Do you think I'm faking it? Do you think I'm faking it that my back hurts? Do you think I'm faking it? Adam, I don't have time to baby sit my girlfriend any more.
- Do you want me to jump out of the boat? - That'd be awesome.
Dude, look how cool this is.
I know.
Have you guys seen a flag anywhere? OK.
I see it.
How you doing? Welcome to Gorée, Senegal.
Thank you very much.
Kris and Jon, you're team number one.
Aah! No way.
As the winners of this leg of the race, you've won a 7-night cruise vacation through the western Caribbean compliments of Royal Caribbean International.
Congratulations.
OK.
Merci.
"Take a ferry to the Ile de Gorée.
" We're next to last.
Poor Mary Jean, I feel bad for her.
That was a hard task.
I hope I can lift it up when I get there.
You're doing incredible, sweetheart.
She's one hell of a woman.
I'm so proud of her.
Sweetheart, it's killing me to watch you out there.
This is the heaviest one.
[applause.]
"Warning, the last team to check in may be eliminated.
" - Where do we go? - Straight.
It's a big flag.
This way.
Hustle, hustle.
Victoria.
Jonathan and Victoria, you're team number 2.
Whoo! Come on, Lori.
There it is there.
Let's go.
Run up here.
Lori and Bolo, you're team number 3.
Yeah! Hayden and Aaron, team number 4.
Straight over here.
Welcome to Gorée.
Thank you.
Freddy and Kendra, you're team number 5.
Adam and Rebecca, you're team number 6.
Thank you.
Nothing is moving.
So if Don and M.
J.
Make it to the ferry with us, it's going to be a foot race there.
I don't know if we can win the foot race.
Hurry, hurry, hurry.
Oh, my back! Come on, Daddy.
- Thank you.
- Let's go.
Come on.
We need to take off.
There it is, right there.
We need 2 tickets for just going over today.
We missed that.
Can you believe that? Son of a bitch.
I feel discouraged.
Don: Today was a good day.
You know, it's funny, because it's probably our last day.
Maybe it's up the street, Daddy.
Let's check down here.
It's not that way.
Where is it then? Don? We go across, go up the stairs over there.
We hadn't come down here, so let's go back this way.
Hera, let's try this way.
Man, I hope it's up here.
That's where it might be.
Gus and Hera, you're team number 7.
You're still in the race.
I think that's it.
You're kidding.
Don and Mary Jean, you're the last team to arrive.
I'm happy to tell you, however, this is the first of several non-elimination legs.
And you are still in "The Amazing Race.
" Oh, my God! You taste salty.
I wonder why.
I do have some bad news.
I do need to take all your money, right now.
All your money.
And I need to let you know, you won't be receiving any money when you start the next leg of the race.
We understand.
I don't care what happens today.
We've had a great run on this thing, we have lasted longer  than any couple our age, we're the oldest couple ever to get this far.
We make such an unbelievable team together in basically everything we do.

Wait a minute, I can't Phil: And Lori and Bolo face off with Hayden and Aaron.
Get your hands off of me.
Just because you're 5'5'' and you're on steroids - I'm not on steroids.
- It doesn't matter.
