Heartland (CA) s06e15 Episode Script
After All We've Been Through
Amy: Previously on "Heartland": Scott: I'd say you're looking at two weeks in the clinic, and then when you take him home, daily hand walking, uh, ten minutes, twice a day.
I just found out this morning that Jeremy's bringing his horse in to get him de-nerved.
Before you leave, you have to sign off on some paperwork at reception.
Amy: What're you giving him? Ty: Detomidine hydrochloride, just half a mil.
- It's a horse - Horse tranquilizer.
I know.
Ty: You better call Scott.
Buckingham's dead.
Jeremy was here.
I let him in, but he was with me the entire time! Please don't tell Scott.
If he finds out I had someone here, I'll lose my job! Like I did? I know you killed Buckingham! I know how you did it, and I know why you did it.
But no proof.
You already screwed up.
You insured Buckingham for twice what he was worth! (Hooves thud, harnesses jingle) (Horses snort and pant) (Horses snort and blow) Amy: Good boy! (Cell phone rings) Scott, hey.
Oh! Oh, good.
That's great news! Yeah, I'll be right there.
Okay, bye.
(Hooves thud) (Horse snorts) - Amy: Ty! - Ty: Hey.
- Amy: Guess what? - Ty: What? Scott just called! Spartan can go home.
That's great! See, I told you he'd get through this! Yeah, we can go pick him up right now.
Okay, I'll get Spartan's stall ready.
Well, aren't you coming with me? I would, but I can't really show my face at the clinic, Amy.
I'm so sorry, I forgot.
Never mind that, you go.
I'll be here when you get back.
Go! - Okay.
- Okay! Lou: You know, it's not too late to change your mind.
This is an optional school camping trip.
I've been looking forward to this for weeks.
Ms.
Fullshaw's gonna teach us how to make lean-to's.
Jack: Oh good, I'm glad you haven't left yet, 'cause I don't want you to go without saying goodbye.
You know, I'm only gonna be gone for a week.
I know, but it's your first big camping trip, and it's okay if you're a bit nervous.
I'm not nervous.
Can I go now? Lou: Okay Peter's waiting in the car.
Okay! Bye! (Exhales noisily) Well, at least we don't have to worry about her being homesick.
I don't even think she's gonna miss us.
(Screen door bangs) (Giggles) (Laughs) Muah! Have fun! Georgie: Okay, bye! Bye, Remi.
(Screen door slams) I just feel like it's too much for me to deal with right now.
Let me guess.
"Things are complicated," "it's not you, it's me.
" Does that about sum it up? Jeremy: I just think that we should cool it for a while.
Yeah, I get it.
Jeremy: Okay.
Well, uh, I'll call you later.
Don't bother.
Come on, Cass, don't be like that.
Are you still here? Okay.
(Amy gasps) I'm just here to pick up Spartan.
Oh, that must be nice.
I never got to pick up my horse.
Cassandra: (Clears throat) Um Uh, I'll go get Scott.
He's just with another patient.
Cassandra, wait.
Are you all right? Yeah I'm fine.
Amy: She took it pretty hard.
You know, I think Cassandra really liked him.
Well, I guess Jeremy pulled the wool over her eyes, just like he did with everyone else.
You know, I was thinking maybe you could try talking to her again.
- Cass? - Yeah.
Why? She said she was with Jeremy the entire night and she didn't see anything.
Yeah, I know, but don't you think maybe she was protecting him? I mean, now that he broke it off, she might be less willing to keep his secrets.
Cass isn't like that.
If she knew something, she'd tell me.
Sometimes love can make people do some pretty strange things.
I'm just saying think about it! Okay, okay.
(Latch creaks) All right, Spartan, welcome home! Oh, he's lookin' good! He hasn't lost too much weight.
Yeah.
Let's get you settled in, huh? Ty: You're finally home, buddy! (Low, nervous whinny) Whoa! (Spartan squeals) Whoa! Ty: Steady, boy.
Easy! Whoa! (Panicked whinny) Spartan! (Whinnies) And at the break of day You sank into your dream You dreamer Oh, oh, oh You dreamer You dreamer (Spartan nickers) No hot spots, or signs of swelling.
Well, that's good.
Yeah, but it doesn't explain why he blew up like that.
He must've just spooked at something.
I mean, he seems fine now.
Don't you, boy? He's been cooped up in a stall for almost a month.
We need to start hand walking him soon; it's important for his circulation and his digestion as well.
You know, you're starting to sound more and more like a vet every day.
Well, I've never felt less like one, but thank you.
- Ty: Hey, Mallory.
- Mallory: Hi.
I heard Spartan's back.
Can I say hi? Of course you can.
Hey, buddy! Oh, I'm so glad you're home.
I missed you so much! Tim: Oh, it's good to be back.
Jack: What do you see? Tim: Is that a trick question? Jack: No, I wanna know what you see.
I see foothills, I see cattle.
I see an old cowboy with a moustache that Magnum P.
I.
would be jealous of.
Oh, that's funny.
You wanna know what I see? This oughta be good.
I see ten fewer head of cattle than we own, and it's your lack of attention to the big river fences that's to blame! Gimme a break.
I just got back from moose jaw, I've been busy.
Oh yeah, well, I've been busy too.
Busy doing all your work for you! You better find 'em! Like I said, it's good to be back! Jack: Seven eleven, twelve Peter: Why do you need this much stuff for a weekend at the dude ranch, Lou? Because I want it to be special.
Mallory's watching Katie, Georgie's on her trip, I thought we could have a little stay-cation, you know? Just the two of us.
Mmm Besides, one of those bags contains a scandalous outfit that you are really going to like.
Oh yeah? All right, I like this stay-cation idea more and more.
I only have one rule.
The phone stays in the car.
Oh yeah, I don't know about that.
I've never gone a whole weekend without my phone before.
Exactly how scandalous is this outfit? (Whispering indistinctly) What're we waiting for? (Lou laughs, door bangs shut) (Phone buzzes) Tim: Don't worry, Jack, I'll find those cows tomorrow.
They're probably just mixed in with Stumpy's herd.
What's the big deal? Jack: I don't know about you but I'm in the cattle business, and even one missing is a big deal, never mind near a dozen! Tim: Like I said, I'll find 'em! I don't know why you're gettin' all riled up.
Jack: Whoa.
(Car rumbles to a stop) Eden: Oh! Excuse me, gentlemen.
My GPS has been recalculating for the past half hour, so I'm hoping you might be able to point me in the right direction.
Well, we certainly can try.
Where you headed? The Heartland Equestrian Connection.
Have you heard of it? Yeah, you're almost there.
It's just straight down that road.
Eden: Oh! Thank you.
Tim: You know, if uh if you want a real authentic Western experience, you might wanna just park your car, and I'll give you a ride over.
(Laughs incredulously) You ever ridden double with a cowboy? Ooh! Well, that's a very personal question.
But suffice to say, I've got all the horse power I need.
(Chuckling) What? What's so funny, Jack? I will never get tired of watching you get shot down.
How's it going in there, honey? Lou: I'm almost ready.
Trust me, it's going to be well worth the wait.
(Knocking) - Eden! - Hi I tried your cell and you didn't answer, so I called the house, and some girl named Mallory said you were out here.
Oh Lou: Okay, Mr.
Morris, ready or not Here I come! Ta-dah! Peter: Actually, honey, honey! Oh my Oh my God! Eden: Clearly, I've come at a bad time.
Hi.
(Laughs) Yeah, uh, this is this is Eden.
The ex-wife.
(Chuckles) Hi.
Peter: So, I thought I was supposed to pick up Max tomorrow.
Did I get the days wrong, or ? Eden: No, no, something came up at work, and I just thought I'd drop him off early.
I hope you don't mind.
Oh no, it's fine.
- Eden: Hey.
- Peter: There he is! There he is! Come on, bud.
Come on.
Aw! How you doing, buddy? Actually, that's kinda what I need to talk to you about.
Um (Clears throat) Oh, Lou! It's so nice to have finally met you, in the flesh.
(Laughs uncomfortably) Um, well, I do like to make an entrance.
You certainly do.
So, she was just dropping Max off.
And, uh, now she's on her way.
Lou: You know, it's funny we haven't had a chance to meet yet.
Eden: Well, we should absolutely do lunch.
Yeah, we should absolutely do that.
Eden: Peter, I'm gonna I'm gonna call you later, okay? Um All right, well, you you crazy kids enjoy the rest of your weekend.
(Laughs) (Engine sputters, doesn't catch) I really um (Engine sputters) - Peter: Problem, or ? - Eden: Um Amy: It's okay, Spartan.
We're just gonna go for a nice, slow walk, okay? Good boy.
(Low whinny) What is it? It's okay.
Ty: What's the matter? I don't know.
It's like he doesn't want to go out to the yard.
- Ty: Whoa.
- Amy: Whoa, easy! Ty: Whoa.
That's weird.
Yeah.
I think he remembers the accident.
What do you mean? When I took him out of the trailer, the first thing he saw was the jumping ring.
Maybe that's why he spooked.
(Cell phone rings) Sorry.
Hey, Lou Okay, I'll be right there.
Yeah, I can fix it.
But I won't be able to get the parts I need until the morning, so.
Oh, you really you don't have to go out of your way.
Ty: Oh, it's no trouble, I don't mind.
Thank you, I just think it's best if I call a tow truck and head back to the city.
Ty: Well, you're not gonna have much luck getting a tow truck out here, especially at this time.
Really? Yeah, it is pretty late, actually.
Ty: You're better off just to wait till tomorrow morning.
Okay, well, maybe could I get a lift to a motel in Hudson? Ty: Why doesn't she just stay here? Wouldn't that make more sense? (Laughs awkwardly) Y yes yes.
Yeah, thanks for pointing that out, Ty.
No, no, I couldn't impose on you like that.
Don't be silly, I don't mind making up one of the cabins.
It's fine! Well, all right, if you insist.
Mallory: So much for Peter and Lou's romantic stay-cation.
Yeah, talk about a third wheel.
Lou seemed to handle it pretty well.
You have met my sister, right? Mallory: If I were Lou, I'd be freaking out.
Ex-wives never show up with good news.
That's enough gossip for one night.
Yeah.
I'm gonna get some studying done.
All right, I should probably go check on Spartan.
Thanks for dinner, grandpa.
Well, Mallory, why don't you finish up in here.
Mallory: What's his problem? Where do I begin? Oh, he's been like that all day.
Now that Lisa's out of the picture, he's turning into a lonely old grump.
I think I know exactly what he needs! Yeah, a three-wheel scooter, with a little basket in front? No, he needs a date.
I'm gonna set him up with somebody who's perfect for him.
No, Mallory, bad idea.
Very bad idea.
And I know exactly how to do it! It's your funeral.
Peter: Hey, what happened to the scandalous outfit? Your ex-wife is what happened! How is it that she arrives just in time to ruin the one weekend we have alone together? I mean, her timing is incredible.
She must have some kind of an ex-wife super power.
You're the one who asked her to stay.
Well, I didn't really have a choice, did I? What is she doing here, anyway? We share custody of Max, you know that.
She was just dropping him off.
Yeah, but she's never done that before.
I mean, you always pick up Max in the city.
Uh, she said something came up at work.
Well, did she say what? No, I didn't ask.
(Sighs) I'm gonna head to bed, okay? Okay.
How's Spartan doing? He's calmer now.
I hope the hand walking goes better tomorrow.
And don't you stay up too late, huh? I won't.
Amy: Hey, um I wish this was under better circumstances, but I kinda like having you at the ranch again.
It reminds me of the old days when I used to dream about marrying the boy in the loft.
(Laughs) That's funny, because I used to dream about marrying the horsey girl who used to boss me around.
(Both laugh) Good night.
(Sighs heavily) Cassandra: It's just some jerk from school giving you a hard time.
You didn't say anything, did you? No, of course not! But people talk.
This is gonna follow me around everywhere I go, isn't it? I'm always gonna be the guy who killed a horse.
No, it's just for now.
In a week, they'll be talking about somebody else.
Cass, I gotta ask you something.
Are you sure that you didn't see anything else the night Buckingham died? Yeah, I'm sure.
Jeremy never left your sight? L look, Jeremy didn't kill his horse, okay? I mean, he he couldn't do something like that! That's not what I asked you.
Look, Ty, I'm sorry, but if Scott knew you were here Is there something you're not telling me? No.
I've got a lot of work to do, so you should go.
(Sighs heavily) Amy: If Cassandra hadn't let Jeremy in the clinic that night, maybe Buckingham would still be alive! Ty: Say what you want about Cass, but she'd never let anything bad happen to an animal.
At least not on purpose.
I just hate you having to take the blame for something that you didn't do! What I need is absolute proof that Jeremy killed Buckingham.
Otherwise, I might as well have "Terminator" permanently tattooed on my forehead! So what're you gonna do? I don't know.
Lou: Hey, guys.
Um, Ty, I know it's early, but do you think you could get started on those car repairs? I'm my way right now, Lou.
It shouldn't take too long.
Could you be a little more specific though? Like half an hour? An hour? I just I don't mean to be uncharitable, but I have big plans for this weekend and they don't include Peter's ex-wife.
So, if you can move this along, that'd be super.
I'm on it.
And if it's any consolation, you're way better looking than Eden.
That is so not the point.
(Laughs) Do you think so? (Scoffs) Mallory: Okay, pick one of the following: an afternoon at a baseball game, a quiet drive in the countryside, or attending a cooking class? Oh, I guess a drive in the country.
Mallory: Okay, next question.
How would you describe yourself an extrovert, or an introvert? Introvert, extrovert! Mallory, do you not have something better to do?! Come on, Jack, who's your favourite Beatle? Jack: Mallory! Mallory: Ringo, George, Paul, John? (Birds chirp, wind gusts) Ty's almost done with your car, so it shouldn't be long now.
Oh thanks, Lou Hey, Lou? You know, you're every bit as wonderful as Peter said you were.
Thanks.
I hope we can be good friends.
I I hope so too.
You know, all these years I was convinced Peter wasn't capable of settling down.
Look at him now, he's he's remarried, with a baby, and he's adopting another.
I mean he's really changed for the better.
Hmm.
In fact, if Peter didn't seem so happy, I might just try to steal him back.
(Laughs) (Laughs uncomfortably) (Chuckles) If you had to choose between dinner in a fancy restaurant, a picnic in a park, or a burger at a fast food joint, what would you pick? I don't know, Mallory, none of that sounds very good.
Mallory: All right, none of the above.
- Done! - Done what? I thought it was about time you got back out there, Jack, so I created an online dating profile for you.
Oh, no, no, no! That does not sound good.
Don't worry, Jack, it's completely anonymous.
I just filled out the questionnaire, and the website matched you up with several local singles.
Do you wanna see? No, I don't.
Whatever you did, undo it! How else do you expect to meet women, Jack? The bar? Overpriced matchmakers? Golden age singles' cruise? Mallory, my personal life is my personal life.
We are not having this conversation! I can't believe you're not even a little curious.
But if you change your mind (Groans) (Barn door rumbles) (Spartan whinnies) What? It's okay.
Hey, hey.
Hey.
Come on.
(Clucks tongue) You're all right.
I've got something for you.
You want a treat? (Spartan snuffles) Come on you want some of this? (Spartan blows out breath) You know, I was kinda hoping that he was just afraid of the jumping ring, but he won't even follow me out into the back field.
It's like he's terrified to leave the barn.
Amy I know you don't wanna hear this, but if we can't start hand walking him soon, he's gonna get a lot worse.
I know.
Oh, Spartan this is your home.
You're safe here.
(Sighs) Tim: Jack? Oh, good news.
I found the missing steers.
They were mixed in with Stumpy's herd.
Good.
Tim: Just like I said! So you can stop grumbling about how I don't do my share of the work.
What is that? It's Mallory's.
Tim: What, you're using technology now? Jack: No, I've never touched one of these gizmos in my life.
Let me see that.
Ah-ooh! "Handsome cowboy looking for the right cowgirl to ride into the sunset with?!" (Laughs) You're online dating? I certainly am not! Well, it sure looks like it! Well, it's all Mallory's doing.
"Body type: Athletic?!" Come on! That's a bit of a stretch, don't you think? - Jack: Gimme that! - Tim: No, no, no, no, no! I wanna see what lucky ladies you matched up with.
Well, Mallory should mind her own business.
No What just happened there? Nothing.
No, I know you.
Nothing means something! - No, you don't wanna - Gimme that! You don't want Jack You don't wanna see that, trust me.
You sure? Yeah, I'm sure.
(Sighs heavily) What're we gonna do? We'll figure it out.
(Truck revs) (Rumbling) (Idling) (Engine revs) (Rattles doorknob) (Grunts with effort) (Door rattles) (Papers rustle) (Doors creak open and bang shut) (Truck rumbles) (Truck rumbles) (Door slams) (Keys jingle) (Slams door) (Wind gusts) (Truck rumbles) (Truck engine revs) (Spartan grunts nervously) Amy: Come on, Spartan.
It's okay.
Good boy.
(Low whinny) What? Come on You don't wanna go out with your friends? (Horse whinnies) Look.
Your friends are out there.
They're waiting for you.
Hmm? You wanna go see them? Good boy, let's go.
Whoa, whoa, hey! Oh! Agh! (Sighs heavily) Spartan! (Sighs) (Truck rumbles) You don't trust me anymore? Hmm? Why don't you trust me anymore? Huh? Amy.
I did something sorta stupid.
It's Jeremy's.
I sort of stole it.
Okay, what am I looking at? This is his web browser history.
The day before Jeremy's horse died, he was searching for information on detomidine.
That's the drug that killed Buckingham.
And this is the site he found.
It has specifics on dosage and application.
Ty, you've gotta tell Scott.
Peter: Okay.
Bye.
Lou, thanks again for everything.
Hmm.
Drive safe, huh? Watch for wildlife.
Lou: Mm-hmm, a car like that hits a moose, you're a goner.
Eden: Oh, thanks, I'll keep that in mind.
(Laughs) Bye.
Ar starts) (Car rumbles away) So, what do you say we call it a day? I'm gonna go pack.
You mean the stay-cation's over? Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's over.
Well, hey, hey, wait.
Listen, I uh I've been meaning to tell you something and I guess I've kinda been avoiding it.
Uh Peter I already know! You do? What, Eden told you already? She didn't have to tell me, Peter! It's pretty obvious what's been going on here.
It is? I'm not blind, okay? W what are you talking about? I saw you kissing her! And it's pretty obvious Eden got exactly what she came for.
Yeah, she did, Lou she came to tell me that Max is sick, okay? Really, really sick.
That's The vet said that we might have to (Sighs heavily) Oh my God.
So I don't he's like our kid, you know? So naturally she's upset, we both are.
S so there was a kiss, but not at all what you're thinking.
Poor Max.
I'm just um (Sniffling) I didn't wanna tell you like this, but Peter, I'm so sorry.
You were right about one thing, though.
The stay-cation is definitely over.
(Sighs heavily) Do you remember the little conversation we had not too long ago? I literally have hundreds of conversations with hundreds of different people every day, so you're gonna have to be a little more specific.
The one where I told you to stay out of Jack's personal life! Was this over Twitter, or did you text me? You know what it's about.
Jack needed my help.
There you go.
Woman: Oh, thanks.
What was I supposed to do? Sit by and do nothing? That's exactly what you were supposed to do, but instead you went and stuck your nose in a place it didn't belong, and you made a bad situation worse.
It's a dating profile.
How bad can it be? (Groans) Mallory: Oh no.
Now, I have been on the receiving end of Jack's wrath and Mallory, I can tell you it is not pleasant.
So I would suggest that you find a place to hide.
You're making a very serious accusation.
I know I'm right.
Jeremy took out a massive insurance policy on Buckingham.
One hundred thousand dollars.
That gives him a hundred thousand good reasons to kill his horse.
Well, if the police look into this, they're gonna wanna know how you got Jeremy's computer.
Look, I'm not naive enough to think that this proves anything for certain.
I just need to know that you believe me, Scott; that you don't think that I did this to Buckingham.
I think (Sighs) people make mistakes.
Listen, Ty, you're young, you're a student.
No one's gonna hold this against you.
Yeah.
Except for you.
Ty, wait! Jack: And you How's Spartan? His leg's healing, but I don't know, something's wrong.
He's not acting like himself.
Well, recovering from a broken leg, that's a long road.
And some horses are never the same.
And some horses bounce right back.
Spartan might not be able to jump, or even run again.
You don't know that.
I put him through this surgery and now he's scared and he's hurting.
I was being selfish.
You know maybe I should've just let him go.
Amy you did absolutely the right thing.
You've saved that horse's life more times than I can count.
You're gonna figure this out.
I don't know.
This time it feels different.
(Ty sighs) (Door slams) (Keys clank) (Gasps) I helped myself to a beer.
(Clears throat) I hope that's okay.
Agh! Oh yeah, and I found your gun, too.
You know, it turns out you're not the only one who knows how to pick a lock.
Look, I'm just looking for my laptop.
I'm not looking for trouble.
Uh-huh.
Well, you've got a funny way of not looking for trouble.
Hand it over.
I'm not kidding around! All right! Relax, okay? Just relax.
It's in my bag.
Put it on the counter.
Now sit down.
Sit down! (Sighs fearfully) You know, Cass told me some stories about your stepdad, and all the time you spent in juvie.
I swear I could hear the violins.
Watch it, man.
All I'm saying is, you're standing real close to the edge.
Don't make me push you.
Oh, and um thanks for the beer.
Wait! Tell me something.
What was it like? What?! When you stuck that needle in your horse.
Did you feel anything at all? (Door slams, glass shatters) (Sighs heavily) Oh! (Sighs) Amy: We should call the police.
And tell them what? I stole Jeremy's laptop out of his trailer? As far as everyone's concerned, I killed his horse.
This doesn't look good for me, Amy.
- Where are you going? - To find Jeremy.
What're you gonna do? To do what I should've done a long time ago! You lay one finger on him, and he's gonna charge you with assault.
Then you'll get kicked out of school, and Jeremy will have won! Well, he pretty much already has, Amy! No, not yet.
There's still other ways we can get at the truth.
Like what? Cassandra.
(Sighs) (Knocking) - Lou: Hey.
- Peter: Hey.
I was wondering where you guys got to.
Hey, Max.
(Clears throat) Is there any chance you can forgive your current wife for letting her insecurities get the best of her? I am still your current wife, right? It's okay, Lou I should've introduced you to Eden a long time ago.
I mean, I knew I would meet her eventually.
I just thought that when I did, I would be wearing more clothing.
(Both laugh) How's Max? He's not doing too good, are you, buddy? His arthritis is pretty bad, and uh, now his kidneys, so Eden and I are gonna go and see the vet later today to discuss our options.
Well, if it's all right with you, I'd like to be there.
Well, I was hoping you'd say that.
Yeah.
Yeah, that would mean a lot to me, and uh to old Max there.
(Half laughs) (Door opens) (Diners chatter) Hi, Loreen, I've got a message for Mallory.
Could you tell her that I know she's hiding underneath the counter? Hey, Jack.
Can I get you a menu? I'm not here to eat.
(Sighs) I know what you're gonna say, and in my own defense, you haven't seemed really happy lately.
Mallory.
So I thought this online profile would bring some joy to your life.
But instead I picked at an old wound and I'm so sorry.
Listen I actually came here to say thank you.
You did? Even though your methods are mighty flawed, I know your heart's in the right place.
And seeing that picture of Lisa on the site, it uh made me realize something.
She's moved on.
Maybe you should move on too.
You're probably right about that.
Well, I'd be more than happy to show you how to use the website.
Mallory, I have managed my own love life for the past fifty odd years, and I'm just fine, thank you very much.
But you will erase that profile, is that clear? Mallory: Yes, Jack.
It's a shame, though.
Twenty-three women responded to your profile.
Twenty-three? Mm-hmm.
I still got it.
(Laughs) Ty: Listen, Cass.
There's no nice way to say this, but I think Jeremy used you to get into the clinic.
- Ty - That's what he does! He uses people.
Look.
I know you said he never left your side.
But maybe he slipped away when you weren't looking, or maybe you got distracted.
Even if that were true, it doesn't prove anything.
- It doesn't matter.
- It does matter! Because if Jeremy gets away with killing his horse, what's to stop him from doing it again? (Sighs) I'm worried about this guy, cass.
He's dangerous.
Be careful, okay? Scott.
I've worked with you for a really long time.
Maybe I can't prove that I'm innocent, but I'm good at what I do and I don't deserve to get fired.
I wish things were different, Ty.
I'm the one you should be firing.
I let Jeremy into the clinic the night Buckingham died.
What happened? Cassandra: I wasn't with Jeremy the entire night.
We ordered takeout from Maggie's, and he wanted to stay with his horse, so I left him alone while I went to pick up dinner.
I was only gone a few minutes, but when I came back he was acting weird, and he said he wanted to go home and and then he left.
And then the next morning Buckingham was dead.
Ty, I'm so sorry.
I didn't wanna believe that Jeremy could do something like this.
Scott: I'm gonna call the police.
(Sighs heavily) (Truck rumbles) (Door slams) (Ty gasps) Ty: No way! This is where his trailer was.
He's gone! Ty: The police still haven't found Jeremy, but running just makes him look even more guilty.
How's Cassandra doing? Scott had to let her go, but she'll land on her feet.
Everything turned out for the best, but I am gonna miss having you around the ranch.
Actually, my first shift back at the clinic isn't til tomorrow.
So technically, I'm still your stable hand.
At least for the next twenty-four hours.
That's good, 'cause I could use your help with something.
See, Spartan still won't come in the yard, but I managed to get him into the trailer.
So where are we taking him? Amy: Just up the road.
You're driving.
(Spartan's hooves clop) Ty: How far do you plan on walking him? All the way to Heartland.
Are you sure that's a good idea? What if he freaks out when he sees the ranch? Well, do you remember when Caleb got racked up at the rodeo, and he was so terrified that he nearly quit riding broncs for good? Yeah, but then he got back on the horse, and faced his fears.
And that's exactly what Spartan needs to do.
I figure if I walk him in from the field, then he can't cower in the barn.
But if he freaks out, he could reinjure himself, Amy.
I know.
But I gotta try.
(Spartan nickers) Okay.
Let's do it.
Ty I think I need to do this alone.
I understand.
Good luck.
Thanks.
Come on.
It's okay, Spartan.
We're almost there.
Whoa! Whoa! Spartan! (Panicked whinnies) You can't give up! Not now! Not after everything we've been through, okay? Look, I'm not gonna let anything happen to you.
I promise.
You need to trust me.
(Low whinny) Come on, Spartan.
Hey.
(Laughs) Hi.
You decided to join me, huh? Are you ready now? Let's go home.
(Laughs) Well, it's sure nice that you called, Georgie, and we're glad you're having such a good time.
We miss you! Did you hear that? All right.
Bye, now.
Grandpa.
Amy got Spartan out of the barn.
Hey.
(Gate clanks) Come on.
You're almost there.
(Spartan snorts) It's okay, it's okay.
(Laughs) You did it.
(Laughs)
(Laughs)
