Hell's Kitchen (2005) s07e02 Episode Script
15 Chefs Compete
(male announcer) Previously on Hell's Kitchen, sixteen aspiring chefs arrived with dreams of culinary stardom.
It's not that I'm cocky, but Hell's Kitchen is gonna be a piece of cake.
(announcer) They were greeted by a media frenzy Let's go.
Come over.
(announcer) and a frightening guarantee.
(Gordon) We will complete the opening night dinner service at Hell's Kitchen.
I'm thinking to myself it's never been done before.
(announcer) At signature dish, while Autumn was good That is good enough to go to heaven for.
(announcer) Jamie was bad.
What in the [bleep.]
is that? I'm not even gonna taste it.
(announcer) And Mikey - My God! (announcer) and Andrew were downright strange.
I've raised and butchered my own animals, and I like to eat 'em raw.
(announcer) When the doors to Hell's Kitchen open The service I've been dying for.
Let's go.
(announcer) Fran made a crucial mistake.
(Gordon) [bleep.]
.
You're putting the crab in the lobster risotto! Give me a break! (announcer) Early on - Oh, my God! (announcer) both kitchens appeared to be going down in flames.
(Gordon) Mikey, raw [bleep.]
halibut! (announcer) But Chef Ramsay was more determined than ever.
(Gordon) I am not gonna shut this [bleep.]
place down! (announcer) and nothing I'm not sure how long it's gonna take.
(announcer) and no one I'm not too sure about you! Get out! (announcer) was going to get in his way You and you, piss off! (announcer) of completing the opening dinner service.
You guys are [bleep.]
useless! (announcer) In the end, he put what was left of both teams into one kitchen.
Work together.
Double up! (announcer) And Ed stood out as its leader.
Come on, two beef, two Wellington, let's go! (announcer) And Chef Ramsay's promise of completing a dinner service - Switch it off.
Let's go.
(announcer) was fulfilled.
This [bleep.]
was harder than we thought.
(announcer) The losing team was - The ladies.
(announcer) They nominated (Autumn) Stacey and Fran.
(announcer) It would be Stacey, whose dream of being the head chef at Gordon Ramsay's restaurant at the new Savoy in London, England, went up in flames.
The way you walk and talk really sets me off [laughs.]
to a full alarm, child.
Yes, it does.
The way you squeeze and tease knocks me to my knees, 'cause I'm smokin', baby.
Baby, woo woo woo.
The way you push, push, lets me know that you're goo-oo-ood.
You're gonna get your wish.
Oh, no, fire.
What I said, child.
Ow.
Fire.
Fire.
Fire.
(announcer) And now, the continuation of Hell's Kitchen.
(Jamie) We saw what it is today.
We know what to expect for next service.
We just need to get our act together.
(Autumn) you gotta let me help you.
If you don't think it's gonna pass, don't put it up.
If someone else tells you that that's wrong, then listen.
Autumn thinks she knows everything.
She thinks she's the boss.
She thinks she's better than everybody else.
Don't start to act like that, because I'm not gonna put up with it.
- Let me help you.
- You're not a team player.
I don't think that's true at all.
If there are people that are upset or think that I'm bossy, I could care less.
I need to step up and be better at helping everybody in the kitchen.
That was really [bleep.]
rough.
Chef demands perfection.
Well, we didn't get here if [bleep.]
we don't know how to cook food.
You know how to cook fish, man.
Whatever they told you, throw it out the window, man.
You know how to make fish.
I'm not intimidated by Chef Ramsay.
And honestly, the food that we're serving down there in that kitchen, it's really not that good.
I've made better food than that, you know? I look over at Mikey, and we weren't communicating enough.
And that was our downfall.
That was the downfall right there.
We glad nobody from our team is going home, but Mikey's on borrowed time.
You know, he was one of the weakest cooks here.
He leavin' sooner or later.
(Mikey) I screwed up.
I'm very upset at myself.
I mean, I saw my mistakes, and I'm only gonna get better.
We gotta make sure we're all [bleep.]
supportive of each other.
'cause we're a team right now, right? (announcer) Finally, the chefs settle in for some much-needed sleep.
But it doesn't last long.
[ringing loudly.]
Get up! Everybody downstairs in the dining room right now.
Come on, go! I saw the alarm clock.
I'm pretty sure it was that big.
Everybody downstairs, now! Let's go! That thing was blaring through the dorm.
Move it! Downstairs, now! I felt like my heart was gonna stop.
Thank God that I put a bra on, 'cause I was haulin' ass.
Who's ready to fight back? (all) I am, Chef.
Last night, we made a lot of basic mistakes.
That got me thinking.
This morning, we're going back to basics.
For this team challenge, we're gonna be working in pairs.
(all) Yes, Chef.
The challenge this morning is for each pair to prepare four different egg dishes.
Poached, soft-boiled, sunny-side up, - and scrambled.
(all) Yes, Chef.
It seems like a pretty easy challenge.
I'm pretty well-versed in processes of how to cook eggs.
I'm kind of self-described as being a badass in the kitchen.
You'll be working in pairs, yeah? Ladies, because you're one person short - Siobhan.
- Yes, Chef.
- You're on your own today.
- Yes, Chef.
I'm a little nervous about being on my own, but I'm gonna kick butt whether I'm by myself or with other people.
You've got five minutes, starting from now! Off you go! Get one pot down to simmer.
Siobhan, work with me and Fran.
No problem, no problem.
(announcer) Chef Ramsay has added this back to basics challenge to demonstrate the importance of timing and communication in the kitchen.
Don't burn your [bleep.]
eggs, guys.
(announcer) Each two-person team must work together to cook four egg dishes in just five minutes.
Except for Siobhan, who is supposed to cook all four eggs by herself.
Siobhan, I got your sunny-side up.
And you do scrambled.
We have have five minutes to make these eggs, and I thought immediately, you know what, Siobhan's got all this to do herself.
I can make her sunny-side up eggs.
You want me to just do poached? Poach it.
(Gordon) Ladies, one minute gone.
(announcer) While Siobhan is focusing on just poached eggs, in the blue kitchen, Scott seems to be focusing more on Salvatore's eggs than his own.
Sally, move 'em the whole time.
Move 'em the whole time.
(Gordon) Ninety seconds left, guys.
- Yeah? - Mike.
What do you think? Yeah.
Yeah.
Pull that egg out.
Salvatore was doing good with the scrambled eggs.
(Gordon) Last minute, guys.
- How are you guys? - No, it's gotta cook more, man.
- I thought it was cooked.
- Cook it more, quick.
You got, like, ten seconds.
Get it on high heat right away.
Stir it.
Stir the [bleep.]
out of it.
Guys, watch these eggs.
Sure enough, Scott comes out from behind and says, "No, put 'em back in.
Cook 'em some more.
" I thought they were perfect.
(Gordon) Six, five, four, three, two, one.
And stop! Okay, let's start with Nilka and Maria, please.
Let's go.
So a soft-boiled egg.
That - is perfect.
- Thank you, Chef.
Really delicious.
(announcer) Nilka and Maria have gotten the women off to a good start.
They also score with their scrambled Really delicious.
Two points.
Beautiful.
(announcer) poached - Done nicely.
(announcer) and sunny-side up eggs.
Perfect.
Four points.
Good job.
(Maria) I can cook eggs.
Salvatore, Michael, let's go.
Looks like somebody splattered the scrambled egg.
Does that come off? Hmm.
[laughter.]
It's not even moving.
Who made it? Me, Chef.
Why is it so grainy? (Salvatore) Scott told me it was kinda runny, mushy.
You know, I'm not the best person in the house, but at least I don't brag about it like him.
"I'm this, I'm that.
" And in the end you can't even [bleep.]
cook eggs? (Gordon) Definitely no point there, clearly.
Who made the soft-boiled egg? 'Cause it's hard.
[bleep.]
(announcer) Salvatore's eggs fail to meet Chef Ramsay's standards.
But Mikey comes through with his sunny-side up Cooked nicely.
One point.
(announcer) and poached eggs.
- The boiled egg? - That was me, Chef.
Delicious.
Okay.
Next pair, come up.
Siobhan, by yourself.
Soft-boiled egg.
How long did you boil it for? I I just cook them every day, Chef, so I kind of have a very good grasp for how long they're cooked for.
Just answer me the question.
How long did you cook 'em for? My teammates helped me, Chef.
Your teammates helped you? Yes, Chef.
I asked you to work on your own.
Yes, but Because I put you out I singled you out thinking you could cook a [bleep.]
egg four ways.
- I could, and I wanted to.
- You'll be working by yourself.
So if you wanted to, why didn't you? Because there was pressure from my team.
(Nilka) Are you serious? Not from my team, from Autumn.
Oh, [bleep.]
.
I just said, "If you need a hand, I can help you make one of the eggs.
" Which one of these four eggs did you do? I did the poached egg, Chef.
So you only poached one egg in five minutes? I did two poached eggs.
One simple instruction.
How can I make it any more [bleep.]
clearer than that? I should have pushed her out of the way, and I'm so mad at myself that I didn't.
I'm so mad.
I shouldn't have listened to the teammates that were forcing me to do something that I should've known was wrong to do.
And I'm just so mad at myself.
Listen, please! You do as I say.
Get a grip! [sizzling.]
(announcer) In the "Eggs Four Ways" challenge, the women are leading 4-2.
Oh, [bleep.]
.
(announcer) And Chef Ramsay has just learned Holy Moses! (announcer) that Siobhan failed to follow his instructions, and did not work on her own.
Is that what you're capable of doing? No.
I'm so mad I didn't step up and push her out of the way.
(Autumn) Siobhan got flustered and pointed fingers at me.
She doesn't have a lot of backbone.
And under the pressure, she just doesn't know when to shut her mouth.
You're only gonna get credited for the ones you did yourself.
- So you've done the poached egg, yes? - Yeah.
That's delicious.
One point.
- Thank you, Chef.
- [bleep.]
off, yeah? Right.
Gentlemen, next.
Ed and Jay.
The poached egg.
- Who cooked that? - I did, Chef.
Yeah, even before I taste it It's perfect.
Thank you, Chef.
(announcer) Ed and Jay also score - with their soft-boiled - Perfect.
(announcer) and sunnyside-up eggs.
- Beautiful.
- Thank you, Chef.
(announcer) But not with the scrambled.
Does it bounce? (Jay) I think I made a great egg.
He didn't say make it look the best.
He said make it taste the best.
Three out of four.
Five to the ladies.
Five to the men.
Next pair, Fran and Autumn.
Let's go.
Soft-boiled egg.
Hold on a minute.
- Who cooked this? - I did, Chef.
- Delicious.
- Thank you, Chef.
Which one did you cook? The scrambled, Chef.
Well, that's chopped omelet.
Ugh.
Sunnyside-up.
Not an ounce of salt anywhere.
[bleep.]
lazy cooking.
Who poached this egg? I poached that egg, Chef.
Oh, [bleep.]
.
One point.
[bleep.]
off with you.
Sorry, [bleep.]
.
Let's go.
Soft-boiled egg.
Who cooked it? - I cooked it, Chef.
- This is hard on the top.
- Fried egg.
Who cooked that? - That was me, Chef.
These taste delicious.
- Thank you, Chef.
Thank you.
- One.
(announcer) Scott and Andrew score with their fried egg - and their next two as well.
- Three out of four.
- Did both of you cook all four eggs? (both) Yes, Chef.
(announcer) Not only did Jamie and Holli cook all of their eggs, they cooked them to Chef Ramsay's standards That's the best scrambled egg I've tasted all morning.
- Thank you.
- Four of four.
Well done.
Giving the women the lead, Final two.
It's in your hands, guys.
Scrambled egg Bland! (announcer) Jason and Ben's next two eggs impress Chef Ramsay Delicious.
(announcer) tying the score at ten.
Now it all comes down to their soft-boiled egg to win it for the blue team.
- Who boiled the egg? - I did, Chef.
(Maria) I was praying that his egg was screwed up, and we could just tie it.
Just tie it.
Perfect.
Congratulations.
[applause.]
Good job, dude.
Well done.
Your day's gonna be special.
I've arranged for each and every one of you to have a beautiful, stunning, helicopter tour of L.
A.
For the first time in my life, I'm going on a helicopter ride.
Okay, men, up to the dorms, yes.
Helicopter's waiting.
Get changed.
I'll see you in ten.
Let's go.
Well done.
Good job.
(man) Yeah! (Gordon) Ladies, you never want to lose a challenge.
Today, there's a huge shipment of fresh tuna arriving.
I want it cleaned, gutted, filleted.
Yeah, ready ahead of tomorrow night's service.
- Is that clear? (all) Yes, Chef.
Piss off upstairs to the dorm.
(Nilka) [bleep.]
eggs? Eggs? [bleep.]
eggs? Are you [bleep.]
kidding me? Irritating the hell out of me.
Like, I didn't understand Siobhan's mentality.
It doesn't matter what Autumn said.
You are supposed to be smart enough to do what you're supposed to do.
Siobhan, deal with it.
Move on.
It doesn't matter.
I just need to cry for a minute.
Let it out, but it doesn't matter 'cause (Siobhan) It's not gonna ruin my day.
If I cry, it'll make me feel better.
I'm not gonna second-guess myself again ever.
[crying.]
(Nilka) She threw us under the bus completely.
(Autumn) This is what happened, you guys.
It was, like, "Hey, I can fry your egg for you if you need a hand.
" And she's like, "Well, I can poach your egg.
" I know, in this competition, that I'm going to be the fall guy for a lot of things that go wrong.
Strong people can take a lot, and I'm ready to take it.
Hey, Siobhan, it's all right.
It's over.
And I'm sorry that you're upset.
I never follow anybody.
I always stand on my two feet.
No, you weren't following me.
That's not what happened.
(announcer) Clearly, Siobhan and her teammates are feeling quite low.
Meanwhile, the men's morale continues to soar.
(Gordon) Here we go, guys.
We're gonna ride off into the sunset.
- This is a great way to see L.
A.
- Yeah, it is.
What a beautiful day.
Oh, man! This is perfect.
I feel like a high-class son of a bitch.
It was downright wonderful.
I've seen Los Angeles like I've never seen in my life.
And I've never seen Los Angeles, so really, this was the first time I saw Los Angeles.
I want to fly over the ghetto.
Bringin' it to the projects.
When you look down to that sea there, just spare a thought for the girls with the tuna.
Whoo.
So go in the truck and get it out of the box.
This is huge.
(Nilka) I've never seen a fish that big.
Damn, like that [bleep.]
is big! Oh, my [bleep.]
God! Wait, we're gonna lose him.
It was so slippery and spiny.
How the hell are we gonna get this off the truck? Better not drop that fish.
It was really expensive.
- Do you have that side? - I got it.
- I got it on my shoulder, guys.
- Come on.
This doesn't seem feasible.
There were five people carrying a quarter of the weight, and I was carrying three quarters of the weight.
- Hold up, guys.
Hold up.
- Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! I'm really happy I didn't actually fall on the step and make out with the tuna.
Pick it up.
Use some muscle.
Right here.
Watch your head.
Oh my God.
- We're gonna go down.
- Yeah, we're going down! We're all gonna die! (Mikey) I look down and I see JP holding a whole tray of champagne glasses.
I mean, it was flawless.
Listen, well done.
Yes.
Congratulations.
You do not want to lose a challenge, yes? (all) No, Chef.
Thank you.
(announcer) While the men are bonding over their victory, the women are divided You didn't take the skin off first? (announcer) over the tuna.
I'm coming to it.
I'm taking the belly out.
She's cutting the meat in half and didn't take the skin off.
I'm like, "you [bleep.]
[bleep.]
.
" Skin comes off first all the time.
And I'm thinking to myself, "What are you doing?" Here, go ahead.
You're right.
I don't know about her.
Something's fishy.
One rule: Outside the kitchen, Gordon.
- Gordon.
- Yeah, [bleep.]
the "Chef.
" Even for you, Salvatore.
[laughter.]
I think it was great to sort of see Chef Ramsay's personal side.
The two things I wanted most was to have dinner with Chef Ramsay and go on a helicopter ride.
We nailed it on one day, so I was pretty psyched.
Chef, you're married, no? Yeah.
Of course.
Why did you get cheated on? She thought I was banging other girls in school.
- You probably were.
- Were you? No, no, no.
I don't do that.
I would love to be married with somebody that cares.
- How many ladies have you slept with? - I don't know.
[laughter.]
Roughly.
- Gordon, I don't know.
- When did you stop counting? Around 30s, 40s.
I went out with a lot of girls.
I didn't find the right one yet.
It's not my fault.
But you know, what I'm gonna do? (announcer) It may be a new day in Hell's Kitchen, but for the red team, it's business as usual.
Siobhan, you should put the potatoes through the ricer.
(announcer) Which means bossing around Siobhan.
All you do is add sour cream, chives, and I want to know the consistency, though, and I want to It just doesn't have to be perfect.
(Autumn) Siobhan doesn't have the knowledge that she needs.
If you're gonna be the chef at the Savoy, who are you gonna ask how to make mashed potatoes? I want to make sure that it's perfect, so I'm gonna wait to talk to her.
But you know what, while you're sitting here wasting time, it's taking up too much time.
"You're not moving fast, and you're not multi-tasking fast enough.
" You want to finish cutting those, and I'll do the mashed potatoes? (Siobhan) You know what, that's just gonna make me go slower, 'cause you're really just pissing me off.
I got it.
(announcer) Both teams rush to finish prepping their kitchens.
- You guys ready? - Yep.
Just wrap the crepe.
We're gonna make the best food of our lives, Sally.
The best food of our lives.
All right, ladies, let's go.
(announcer) And with dinner service just minutes away, Chef Ramsay has a last-minute addition to this evening's menu.
Tonight we're gonna do a tuna tartare, tableside.
Needs to be done mixed up in front of them.
More importantly, that "wow" factor, yes? (all) Yes, Chef.
- Fran.
- Yes, Chef.
- Ever worked with tuna tartare before? - No, Chef.
Good.
Tonight you'll learn.
Yes, Chef.
Men, uh - Scott, you'll be doing it.
- Yes, Chef.
All right, how are we feeling? (all) Good, Chef.
- Are we prepped? (all) Yes, Chef.
- Salvatore.
- Yes, Chef.
Name me the desserts.
What's the confusion with the menu? [bleep.]
me.
[bleep.]
me.
(Gordon) Please, name me the desserts.
He makes me freakin' nervous.
So, like, I get freezed.
And then I start, like, blah blah blah blah.
You can't name me one dessert? If you don't know the menu inside out by now, you should not be here.
I'm running a [bleep.]
kitchen, not a kindergarten! Get out of here! (announcer) It's ten minutes before dinner service, and Salvatore You can't name me one dessert? (announcer) has failed Chef Ramsay's pop quiz.
If you don't know the menu inside out by now, you should not be here.
I'm running a [bleep.]
kitchen, not a kindergarten! Get out! [bleep.]
upstairs with a menu.
Hurry up, Salvatore! Some of you start taking control in here a bit please, yes? (all) Yes, Chef.
Get on your sections.
Get set up.
- We're opening in ten minutes.
(all) Yes, Chef.
We've come off of, you know, three hard loses, and the last thing we want to do is lose.
So we're very determined to win.
Bleh! All right, ladies, come here, please.
With a spoon.
Quickly.
Just taste that water.
All of you.
Hurry up.
Uhh[bleep.]
, oh.
It needs some more water.
- Did someone re-salt it? - Ech.
Oh, my God, that's gross.
That's worse than the seawater.
I couldn't believe that the water tasted that bad.
- I was gonna puke.
- So just stop! Stop! Who seasoned that? Chef, I seasoned it originally, but it wasn't this salty.
(Gordon) Oh, my There's more than one individual that seasoned that.
- Yes.
- You did it.
Own up to your own [bleep.]
.
Give me a break you did it.
Oh, my God! Right.
Jean-Philippe, bells.
Let's go ahead and open Hell's Kitchen, please.
Let's go.
(announcer) It's the second dinner service in Hell's Kitchen.
How are the Alaskan king crab? I'm gonna have the pan-fried sea scallops.
(announcer) And after a very painful and long opening-night service, Chef Ramsay is taking some heat off the kitchen Hello, how are you? (announcer) by having Fran and Scott serve tuna tartare tableside.
- Uh, blue Jay.
- Yes, Chef? Run upstairs and get bozo for me, please.
Oui, Chef.
(Jay) Let's go, Sal.
I don't remember.
I can't get my head, man.
On order for table twelve: Appetizer, one risotto, one scallop, one capellini, one truffle salad.
You, what are the desserts? Pash pash and tangerine tarts - Peche? Hold on.
- Passionate.
(Gordon) What? Pash Passionate (Salvatore) My heart was beating like a ferrari like, boom boom boom boom boom boom.
How the hell I forget these four freakin' dessert? How? - with banana ice cream.
- Yeah.
Berry pudding.
Berry pudding? That's Italian, you [bleep.]
.
Ah! You [bleep.]
that one.
So is that water boiling yet? - No, Chef.
- Aw, [bleep.]
.
Oh, my God.
(announcer) While the women are waiting for their water to boil, Mikey's first risotto is ready at the pass.
(Mikey) I'm pretty sure I'm gonna ace the risotto.
But I don't want to get too sure of myself.
Knock on wood.
Yeah, rice undercooked, Mikey.
I didn't want it, you know mush.
That's one thing it hate in risotto is mush.
The rice is [bleep.]
crunchy! Yes, Chef.
Chef Ramsay has a different outlook on risotto.
Carrot top.
Hey, come here, you.
Hey, serve me four more [bleep.]
tartare on table twelve, and four more on five, please.
Urgently! And apologize for the incompetence - of a bunch of [bleep.]
.
- Yes, Chef.
Hey, guys, nice to see you again.
Hopefully your appetizer will be out, or else I'll go cook it myself, all right? Yay! (announcer) Meanwhile, in the red kitchen, Autumn is helping Siobhan with the risotto.
(Gordon) How long? - One minute, Chef.
Why are you [bleep.]
, oh She's cooking it, yet she's seasoning it.
No, I just added more salt.
Come here, you! Can you cook me a risotto? Yes, Chef, but she wants to do it.
And I'm trying, and she's - Tell her to get lost! - That's it.
You've gotta do your dish! I said that to her, and she keeps butting in, so I'll just tell her again.
If somebody's seasoning, let them finish their dish.
We don't have time for this [bleep.]
.
We lost three [bleep.]
times in a row! We gotta do what we gotta do.
Oh, [bleep.]
! Get me out of here! (announcer) While Chef Ramsay is looking for Siobhan to be a little more independent, out in the dining room, Fran is looking for some guidance from (Fran) Jean-Philippe.
Okay, I just gotta feed people.
I can't wait for that little man.
- Hello, ladies.
- Excuse me.
She'll be back with the tartare.
(Fran) Oh, I swear, very quickly.
- Table thirty, my dear.
- Oh, I'm so sorry.
- Thirty is - Hi! - No, table thirty is the other one.
- Oh, okay.
- You have a plan? - Yes.
- Look at it.
Use it.
- I will.
Thank you.
I don't have a GPS for you.
Thank you.
I know.
You're very busy.
Okay.
Hi.
(announcer) While Fran finds her way in the dining room, Mikey's making another attempt at his first appetizer.
Wake up, Mikey, huh? It was you who backed up the [bleep.]
kitchen.
Hurry up.
(Andrew) The risotto kept getting messed up because that jackass makes it, and it gets sent back.
Now you're behind, so then that just messes everything up.
(Gordon) That's a [bleep.]
record.
Fourty-three minutes for your first appetizer.
- Yes, Chef.
- Congratulations.
After fourty-three minutes, Mikey's risotto finally makes it out to the dining room.
Unfortunately, it doesn't stay out there very long.
- Thank you.
- Thank you.
Undercooked rice.
Oh, [bleep.]
no.
Yeah, gold star.
Under-[bleep.]
-cooked rice! Dude, snap back.
Get your mind back into the game.
Not just for yourself, for your [bleep.]
team.
Yeah.
Young man, the rice is bullets! I'm pissed off! Hurry up! One more! What's going on? You're not even talking to me! [bleep.]
mad! [bleep.]
.
(announcer) It's fourty-five minutes into what has already been a painful dinner service, and Mikey's first risotto to leave the kitchen has just been sent back by an unhappy customer.
(Gordon) Under-[bleep.]
-cooked rice.
Hurry up! One more! What's going on? [bleep.]
mad! [bleep.]
.
(Mikey) Okay, Benjamin.
Okay, so we're starting that one over, okay? So I've got five minutes right now.
Take your time.
Just get the food up right, okay? Michael's a young kid, and he's a passionate cook, but he wasn't serving the proper food.
So he does deserve to get his ass kicked.
I'm mean, no rush.
(announcer) Meanwhile, the red kitchen has managed to move on to entrees, and Chef Ramsay is waiting for Garnish, please! I'm coming, Chef.
I've got all the [bleep.]
meat here, madam! Yes, Chef, I'm coming.
- You're coming? Give me a time.
- Yes, Chef.
A minute and a half, I promise you.
Take the [bleep.]
stuff back.
She's [bleep.]
miles away! I have the crab mash.
I have - I'm not start [bleep.]
it! - All right, Chef.
I'm getting it all together.
I'm not gonna shout spinach, potato, carrots.
[bleep.]
off.
I don't know what the hell happened.
I just got [bleep.]
lost.
(Nilka) Jamie, what's up? - Nothing.
Okay, how are you doing, Nilka, on the sides? She froze.
She wasn't talking.
And she wouldn't answer.
She was just, like, dead.
(announcer) Nilka tried to get a grasp on the garnish station.
Meanwhile, back in the blue kitchen Let's go.
Wellington.
(announcer) Chef Ramsay is about to receive Salvatore's - first Wellington.
- Sorry, Chef.
Behind you.
Salvatore! - That's a Wellington cooked perfectly.
- Thank you, Chef.
Where's the [bleep.]
chicken? The chicken? Damn.
- You gotta get that chicken in the window.
- I got it.
He always, "I got it.
I got it.
I got it.
" He doesn't got [bleep.]
, (Gordon) Where's the [bleep.]
chicken? - Jason, can you talk to me, please! - Yes, Chef.
Where's the [bleep.]
chicken? Two minutes, Chef.
Oh, [bleep.]
.
Is that Oh, [bleep.]
off.
I'm not cooking like that.
He was rushing his chicken.
Chicken wasn't even ready.
Jason's not taking care of business.
He totally [bleep.]
this one up.
- Come here, you.
Come here.
- Yes, Chef.
So the [bleep.]
chicken's raw, yeah? And you're frying it like a [bleep.]
first-class [bleep.]
.
Look at that.
- That's your best? - No, Chef.
Yeah, Chef, I [bleep.]
the chicken up.
He got in my face.
I took it like a man.
Started over with a brand new chicken.
- Fine dining? - No, Chef.
A fine [bleep.]
mess! (announcer) It's an hour and a half into dinner service, and with Jason's chicken stalling the blue kitchen, the diners are getting restless.
(announcer) Meanwhile, there's a steady flow of entrees leaving the red kitchen.
I think we're a win over here we're good.
(announcer) And the women appear to be hitting their stride.
(Autumn) Food's going out.
Let's just make sure it goes out good.
Keep it up.
Focus.
Oh, God.
Why is this salmon coming out like a - Hey, madame.
- Yes, Chef.
Come here! Look.
[bleep.]
salmon is crispy as [bleep.]
on the bottom.
'cause the pans you put them in were, like, smoking.
Like, I'd expect her to sear her beef in it.
Okay, Chef.
[bleep.]
.
Re-fire two salmon, one tagotelli.
Chef Ramsay lost it, and just went, like, Satan on my ass.
That wouldn't even pass as [bleep.]
kitty cat [bleep.]
cat food! I think I have some salmon in my ear.
You aren't even talking to her.
Jamie's not talking to [bleep.]
Nilka.
- Can you three get it together? - We're talking.
- So how long, then? - Four minutes, Chef, please.
Guys I need seven minutes on the beef.
How many minutes? Oh, [bleep.]
.
(announcer) There's a clear lack of communication in the red kitchen.
But over on the blue side, Andrew is having a pleasant conversation Don't [bleep.]
with this.
Stay right there.
- Stay hot.
(announcer) with the garnishes.
Stay cool.
Stay there.
What the [bleep.]
are you doing? Go away.
Go away, go away, go away, go away! Andrew was doing great on garnishes, and then all of a sudden he flipped his lid.
Started talking like a maniac.
What do you need? What do I need? I need to get out of the [bleep.]
weeds.
That's what I need.
What the hell you think I need? (Ed) I don't know what that was.
Tell me how the salmon is.
Tell me how something is.
- Please talk to me.
(Jason) Two and a half minutes.
I don't care if I get the salmon last, I want to make sure the garnish is ready.
- Holy [bleep.]
! - Set the [bleep.]
plates.
- Holy, [bleep.]
.
- Yes, Chef.
Yes, Chef.
I'm coming, I'm coming, I'm coming.
Blue Jay.
- Yeah.
- Come here for a second.
Please start bringing these garnishes up, or Chef Ramsay's gonna [bleep.]
kill me.
Mashed, please.
Where is it? Why is Jay on the [bleep.]
garnish? Holy [bleep.]
.
Aah! What's he done, potato soup? Holy crap.
Holy crap, holy crap, holy crap.
Blue team, come here, all of you a minute.
That's you as well, Salvatore.
There you go.
There's our mashed potato.
There you [bleep.]
go.
- Don't add it oh, no.
- What? Come here, you idiot.
Let me [bleep.]
explain why.
Yes, please do.
You put the thick stuff in, you add the runny to it.
That was a brilliant idea, Chef.
"That's a brilliant idea, Chef.
" You think this is funny, don't you? No, I don't think this is funny.
So we're serving liquid [bleep.]
mashed potatoes.
So I expect you to put that [bleep.]
fresh stuff in a pan, and you add the liquid to it.
That's not gonna make any ounce of difference there.
- It's gone.
- That's not true.
Man, this guy Damn! He's [bleep.]
crazy.
Now you're gonna tell me I can't cook in a saute pan.
Chef Ramsay, he's like the Jay-Z of [bleep.]
restaurants.
You don't talk back to a man like that.
Come here.
I'm [bleep.]
losing my temper with you.
Say that again.
- So now I've gotta take it out of the sauce pan - Yeah, come here, you.
- Get out.
[bleep.]
off.
- Yes, Chef.
Let me [bleep.]
tell you something straight.
You've got nothing right.
You don't care, you got no respect.
And you know what, you're a [bleep.]
joke to the industry.
- Am I? - Yeah, that's what you are.
(announcer) It's the second night of dinner service in Hell's Kitchen.
- But for Andrew - Get out! (announcer) it looks like it might be his last.
You don't care.
You got no respect.
And you know what, you're a [bleep.]
joke - to the industry.
- Am I? Yeah, that's what you are.
[bleep.]
off! That guy's [bleep.]
useless.
What's wrong? - Nothing's wrong with me, JP.
- What are you doing here? I'm walking out the damn door.
What does it look like I'm doing? That man asked me to leave, and you expect me to stay here? - He's just testing you.
- Right.
And if I walk back in there, I don't want to hear him yell at me again.
There are I don't know how many people which would be willing to be in your shoes now.
You know what, they can take my shoes, JP.
I don't need this.
I'm walking out these doors.
Chef Ramsay got pissed at me.
I'm sure he looks at me as a little [bleep.]
.
You know, whatever.
I don't really care what Chef Ramsay thinks of me.
I'm done.
Have a nice day.
(announcer) For only the second time In Hell's Kitchen's seven-year history, - a cook has called it quits in the middle of dinner service.
- Scott, let's go.
And now the blue team will have to quickly adjust.
I got it, I got it.
Go ahead, I got it.
Andrew I don't know what happened to that cat.
Chef Ramsay hit his ass with some fairy dust and made his ass disappear.
This is [bleep.]
crazy.
(announcer) Despite Andrew's departure - Ragout Chef.
- Beef, Chef.
Let's go! (announcer) the men catch up with the women.
(Gordon) I love the way you all wake up with five minutes to go.
Last ticket, let's go.
(announcer) And both teams complete dinner service.
- Switch everything off.
- Yes, Chef! - Guys, clear down.
- Yes, Chef.
Yeah! Tonight's dinner service, pain free? I don't think so.
This is not gonna get any easier.
- Jason.
- Yes, Chef.
Watching you frying the chicken was that you at your best? Hell no, Chef.
Mikey You couldn't even cook a risotto.
Nilka - You were lost on that garnish.
- Yes, Chef.
- Compose yourself.
- Yes, Chef.
- Jamie.
- Yes, Chef.
If it [bleep.]
don't bring it up.
Winning team? Not tonight.
Each team, come to a consensus on the one person from that team that should go home tonight.
Now, piss off upstairs.
Jason, I'm just gonna tell you, I think you talk a big talk, and then you [bleep.]
up.
- And it just my nomination is for you.
- No way.
Ain't no [bleep.]
way.
There's no way you can say that.
The truth is, in the kitchen, you totally [bleep.]
us tonight.
(Jason) I didn't do my whole 100%, I know it.
But am I the weak link or deserve to go home? Get the [bleep.]
out of here.
Hell no.
Clearly these guys are intimidated to work with me.
But to be crucified because people don't understand you, you too up front it was just straight bull[bleep.]
.
So who's your name? The person that I think is not culinary refined, I vote Salvatore.
- [bleep.]
no.
- I want to stay.
No! Why should I go home? If I would have messed it up with all the service, I understand I deserve to go home.
But right now, I think I did okay.
I want to stay.
If I had to pick one of you guys, I'd I'd have to pick you, Salvatore.
Honestly, I was really surprised that nobody said me.
But they didn't, so Sal, you don't have experience you said it.
I don't know, Jason, that piece of chicken, I mean, it's gotta be cooked.
It's tough for me to decide.
(Jamie) All right, as a team right now, we have to choose.
Nilka, I have to nominate you.
(Jamie) You either have it or you don't.
When you're in the weeds, sometimes you'll lose your head.
And that's what happened.
- I agree on that one.
- I tried my best tonight.
This [bleep.]
never happened to me before.
(Nilka) It wasn't the fact that my food was [bleep.]
.
It was just a lot coming at me at once.
I'm sorry, but like, I don't know that I 110% agree right now.
Autumn's mistake was very, very bad.
I just feel like I kept going and I pushed through.
The mistakes I made didn't completely tank us.
The basics, okay? The basics! - Right.
- That's a big deal to me, you guys.
(Siobhan) Autumn thinks she knows everything.
She presented herself as some big hotshot.
You know, she couldn't even [bleep.]
salt the water properly.
For [bleep.]
sake, that's almost one of the easiest things you could do.
(Jamie) You two vote for Autumn.
I'm still voting for Nilka.
Ladies, have you reached your decision? (all) Yes, Chef.
Maria, who was the team's nominee, and why? Our decision is Autumn.
Autumn.
Why? We began the service with very over-salted water.
On the back of the salty water, what else? Siobhan.
She's not a team player.
And she cannot communicate with her teammates.
And she feels that she needs to overpower them.
Does everybody agree it's Autumn? (all) Yes, Chef.
Right.
Benjamin Men's team nominee.
Who is it and why? Chef, we chose Jason.
- Jason? - Yes, Chef.
He's not a team player, and he makes it difficult for us to work with him.
So Jason is the worst cook on the blue team? (all) Yes, Chef.
Autumn, Jason, step forward.
Autumn, why should you stay in Hell's Kitchen? I have the skills and the talent, and I do not feel that I should be sent home for salty water.
Help me understand.
Why did the team put you up? I think it's personal.
- It's personal? - Yes, Chef.
Is Autumn the worst cook on the red team? (all) No, Chef.
Oh, God.
Who is it? Who is it? (announcer) The red team may have nominated Autumn for elimination, but Chef Ramsay senses that the women are not voting for the right reasons.
Is Autumn the worst cook on the red team? (all) No, Chef.
Who is it? I would say Jamie's the worst chef.
- Autumn.
- Yes, Chef.
Back in line.
Jamie, get your ass up here.
Right, Jamie, disastrous night.
Why should you stay in Hell's Kitchen? I have so much heart.
And when it comes to communication, and when it comes to working my ass off, I do that.
Jason Why should you stay in Hell's Kitchen? I messed up with the chicken.
There's no doubt about that.
But I don't stop.
I keep pushing.
And you know, nothing means more to me than working for you.
Okay, the person leaving Hell's Kitchen all for the right reasons Mikey.
Get your [bleep.]
ass up here.
You backed your team up.
But not just one service.
Two [bleep.]
services Raw [bleep.]
halibut! I'm pissed off! Mikey, the rice is bullets! [bleep.]
mad! [bleep.]
.
And I can't work with that.
- Yes, Chef.
- Take your jacket off.
Chef Ramsay really didn't like my performance.
I knew I did crappy, but I've still got my tattoo of Hell's Kitchen, and I wear it with pride.
I don't regret a thing coming here, and I accept my fate.
Back in line, both of you.
What worries me more than anything is that is there a head chef amongst you guys? I'm looking for a leader That's gonna be capable of running the Savoy, London.
I'm starting to question it.
All of you.
Now [bleep.]
off.
(Maria) What the [bleep.]
was I thinking? I'm an idiot because I told him to get rid of Autumn.
I'm, like, oooohhh Bad scene.
Maria, thank you for throwing me under the bus tonight.
That meant a lot to me.
You are the pebble in my shoe, and I have to get it out.
Them back-stabbing people in blue-ass chef coats.
It's because I don't play no games.
I ain't kissing your ass.
It was just straight bull[bleep.]
, and Ramsay seen through it.
(Gordon) Mikey was all about appearances.
Unfortunately for him, it didn't appear he could cook.
(announcer) Next time on Hell's Kitchen I could break this [bleep.]
chair right now.
You don't think this carries over to the kitchen? (announcer) Betrayal on the blue team You [bleep.]
with my life, then you're [bleep.]
with me! (announcer) gives the women an opportunity We have 'em right where we want 'em.
(announcer) but they end up - Stop! (announcer) attacking each other.
- Leave me alone! - Leave her alone! Let's go! My God! (announcer) And problems in the blue team reach a boiling point.
- Get the [bleep.]
out of here.
- Let me do it.
No! No! (announcer) And threaten to become physical.
I feel like taking one of the hot-ass pans and slapping him upside his [bleep.]
face.
(announcer) And one chef learns - Salvatore.
(announcer) that a pretty face is not enough - I don't know how to write.
- What is that? (announcer) to make it in Hell's Kitchen.
- I'm done.
Salvatore (announcer) All next week on a shocking - Leave her! (announcer) thrilling - How's it going on my burgers? (announcer) and explosive [shouting.]
Hell's Kitchen.
