Fear Factor (US) s07e07 Episode Script
Leeches & Shaved Heads & Tear Gas, Oh My! (Part 1)
I'm Joe Rogan and this is Fear Factor.
the stunts you're about to see were all designed and supervised by trained professionals.
They are extremely dangerous and should not be attempted by anyone, anywhere, anytime.
It all began ten years ago, at the dawn of reality television.
I hate this.
Audiences had never seen anything like it.
Just try to stay calm.
I don't think I can do this.
Now the legend begins all over again.
It's bigger Oh, my gosh.
Badder And more intense than ever before.
It's so hard.
Welcome back Fear Factor.
Fear Factor's back and it's crazier than ever.
Crazy.
Oh, damn! Grab it and eat it.
Eat it! Tonight, five teams Five stunts One wier.
Me and Ronnie work out every single day together, and we're used to working together as a team, and that's gonna be our advantage.
If we win the money, our long-term goal from day one is she's a nurse, I'm a pastor, and so we want to go overseas and do missions work and social work, and work with underprivileged people.
So that's definitely what drives us.
We've known each other since we were 12.
It's always been like, "oh yeah, they can't do it.
They can't do it.
They can't do it.
" As long as I just have Jessica rooting for me, I will be good.
She's kind of like my spray-tan solution.
Like, I can't live without her.
Gonna try to do the Earl and Amy Jo show here for you.
I'm just gonna be honest with you, I had no desire to be on this show.
It should be interesting to see what I can handle.
You can do all the talk you want, and say this and that, but when you're in the hot seat, you might your pants.
So I don't know if I can handle it, but I'm up for the challenge.
- Hello.
- Hey, hello.
All right.
So what's up? How's everybody doing? You guys fired up? Yeah, we're good.
We got everything.
We got hot pink We got freaks in the back.
We got, uh, camo.
And, uh, you guys are a little bit older for Fear Factor.
I'm used to looking at young kids.
- Thanks for pointing that out.
- How old are you sir? - 48.
- 48! I think he's older than my dad.
All right, welcome to a special two-hour, five-stunt edition Fear Factor.
You five teams have been brought here from all over the country for one reason: To stare fear in the eye as you compete for $100,000.
To win the money, you will have to complete five extreme stunts.
Stunts that'll test you not only physically, but mentally as well.
If you are too afraid to attempt a stunt, you will be eliminated.
If you try a stunt, but fail to do as well as your opponents, you're gone.
But if you do succeed, you will move on to the next round, and be that much closer to the cash.
You ready to see your first stunt? Yeah! One of you will be wrapped in chains and fastened to that tree near the edge of that 400-foot cliff.
Your partner will be up in that helicopter over the canyon.
On "go," the person attached to the tree will begin to unlock themselves, while the person in the helicopter will make their way down the ladder, releasing flags along the way.
When they get to the bottom, they will pull a release that will rip their partner off that cliff, and propel them towards that helicopter over 600 feet away.
The team that does this the slowest will be eliminated.
And we have randomly selected today's order, and Ronnie and Andrea, you guys are lucky number one.
Yeah.
You feel like you can set the bar high? The bar's gonna be unattainable for the rest of the people.
Unattainable? - Unattainable.
- Let's go! Set that bar high! Come with me.
- I'm scared.
- That looks crazy.
All right, Ronnie, Andrea.
First up.
Now, you guys met doing crossfit? Is that the story? Mmhmm.
Tell me, like, what crossfit is all about.
We sign up for competitions and we just do what we're told last-minute.
And you never know what you're gonna do? So to train, you have to be prepared to do anything.
So the purpose of crossfit is really, like, functional strength, right? Mmhmm.
It's perfect forFear Factor, right? Now, who is gonna be who is gonna be in the helicopter and who is gonna be attached to the tree? He's gonna be on the ladder, and I'm gonna be down here.
Set that bar high.
Good luck to the both of you.
- Thanks.
- Good luck.
- Thank you.
- Have fun, you guys.
Okay So Ronnie and Andrea are all set, and those two are some serious gym rats.
- I want to watch them fall - Whoa.
- Bad.
- Why, Jessica? Tell us.
- 'Cause he's a jerk.
- He's a jerk? No, I think he's just, like, one big tool.
Like, honestly, his hair's messed up.
Like, it's just horrible.
I think he's so stupid enough that it's, like it's, like, going into his brain.
Hmm I wish that made sense.
All right, Andrea is locked into the tree, Ronnie is up in the helicopter.
I'm gonna count you down! In three! Two! One! Go! He's out.
Here we go! There's over 700 pounds of pressure pulling on her back with that bungee cord.
He's moving pretty slow up there.
There's so much rotor wash and wind.
That's one flag, and she's out of the handcuffs.
She is trying to figure out which of the ten keys works the lock.
And you got to be careful, 'cause you can lose track of which keys you've already tried.
She's got the first lock.
Now she's got to figure out the keys again.
You guys can definitely make up time on that ladder.
He's moving a lot slower up there than I thought he was gonna be.
She's still working that lock.
Come on, Ronnie! She's just got to get the chain off now.
He is not going nearly as fast as he thought he was gonna go.
You guys can definitely make up time there.
All right, she's free.
She's ready to go.
- Come on, Ronnie! - She's just waiting on him.
All right, he's trying to get the last flag now.
Come on, Ronnie! He's got the last flag, he's pulling the rip cord! Ohh! Oh, man! Whoa! Oh, my God! Oh, my God! Ohh! Oh, my God.
Oh, my God! Your time was two minutes and four seconds.
How do you feel about that? Uh, it felt fast enough to where I felt like I wasn't going to be able to get the keys out before he got down.
Do you feel like davi and Jessica are your safety net, so no matter what happens? - I think they might beat us.
- They might beat you? - I'm just kidding.
- You're just kidding? Wow.
Sarah and Keith, you guys are next.
What do you do for a living? I'm a pastor, actually.
You're a pastor for a living? - Uh-huh, I am.
- Okay, cool.
And Sarah, what do you do? I'm a nurse.
Now, Sarah and Keith, how are you guys gonna rock it? I'm doing the ladder, for sure.
You're gonna do the ladder for sure? You said with a Thor-y man-voice right there.
- I'm yeah.
- "I'm doing the ladder.
" - Ladder.
- Go get out there and do it! - All right, all right.
- Way to go, guys.
So how do you think they're gonna do? I think the lord is on their side.
Helping 'em up that ladder! So do you think they'll be able to beat Ronnie and Andrea's time? Definitely.
- Definitely? - Mm-hmm.
- Whoa.
- Mm-hmm.
The claws come out.
Keith is up there inside the helicopter, Sarah is chained to the tree.
I'm gonna count you down! In three! Two! One! Go! All right, here we go! He's climbing out! He's on the ladder.
He's making his way down to the first flag.
Sarah is working the keys.
He's got it loose.
He's hooked it to himself.
There he goes.
He's moving very quickly.
He is moving faster than Ronnie so far.
With no crossfit.
All right, she got the lock off.
He's moving a lot faster than Ronnie.
She got both locks off.
Come on, keithy! You can do it! Come on! He is almost at the bottom! He's moving very fast.
Keep it up, keep it up! Good job! Last one, last one! He's at the bottom one.
He's way ahead of Ronnie.
He got it! Whoa! Oh, One minute, 27 seconds! Wow.
Now, Jessica and davi, you guys know exactly what you have to do here.
Now, you have chosen to reverse the order, where you're going to be climbing the ladder and you're going to be chained to the tree.
And how did you guys decide on that? I'm a little bit stronger than him.
- You're stronger than him? - Definitely.
You strong? Let me see the guns.
Let me see those guns.
My bones, you mean? You don't want to show us? I'm, like, uhh.
There you go.
Ronnie, do you think it's humanly possible that they could beat your time? - No.
- No? Jessica, does it bother you, the fact that he's underestimating you like that? Yeah, he's annoying.
Well, if you guys beat two minutes and four seconds, you will show him what's up, and perhaps maybe even send him home.
- Good luck.
- Thank you.
At this point, are you guys concerned at all that you might be eliminated? A little bit, yeah.
Time to beat is two minutes and four seconds! In three! Two! One! Go! All right, he's out of the handcuffs.
She's got one flag.
She's got two.
Davi is fumbling.
He's very nervous.
Having a hard time operating the keys.
She's relying more on her legs for moving and her hands for guidance.
All right, she's making good time.
She just got her third flag.
He's fumbling with the keys over there on the lock.
She is moving.
She's got her fourth flag.
He's got to hurry.
He better hurry, because he has to be unlocked before she pulls the release.
Oh, my God, he's still unlocking it.
He's having a hard time.
He's losing track of the keys.
She's at the fifth flag, but it doesn't matter 'cause he is not unlocked.
Still to come on this five-stunt, $100,000 Fear Factor Oh, my God! - Oh! - Whoa! Tear gas! Oh, my God.
She's at the fifth flag, but it doesn't matter 'cause he is not unlocked.
He's having a hard time.
He's losing track of the keys.
He's costing her the time right now.
Ronnie and Andrea, congratulations.
You guys have moved on to the next round.
It was hard.
Really started getting aggravated, and I saw that she was done.
She was waiting for me, and I still hadn't had two locks undone.
He got it! Oh! Oh, my God.
Five minutes, 35 seconds.
They gave you guys a nice, fat cushion.
If he had got the locks done, they would be ahead of you guys, and they would automatically move on, but, unfortunately for poor Jessica, davi sucks at this.
Aww.
All right, Amy Jo and Earl, I see you guys are already working on a strategy.
Yeah.
Now, you guys are the oldest competitors here at 48, and I won't ask you your age 'cause I'm a gentleman.
- Thank you.
- You're the old guy, but show everybody the abs.
What's up? You're in shape.
Look at this man.
48 years old.
My man's chiseled.
Marine corps.
All right, Amy Jo, you must feel a little bit more relaxed now knowing that you've got this huge cushion.
I don't know, I never feel relaxed until it's done.
- No? - No.
For sure you're gonna be able to beat that ridiculous time.
I could see myself panicking if it was taking too long.
- Don't you even talk like that! - I'm just saying! Earl and Amy Jo, good luck to you.
Get on out there.
Show 'em what's up.
All right.
Big Earl get 'em! Got the core strength.
48 years old.
21 years old, guy can't even unlock the locks.
Come on.
Give me a break.
Jessica, I got to tell you, your time was stellar.
You guys would have been automatically moving on to the next round.
But davi Damn, dude.
Yeah.
That was a mess.
Stay calm.
You saw him choke with the keys.
I'm just I'm really nervous.
I know, that's why.
I don't want you nervous.
Just stay calm.
I mean, I'm a little frustrated.
You should be.
You were doing great.
I was waiting and waiting You can only hope that Amy Jo panics, and it's very possible that she might, because she was talking about it.
Hoping she doesn't panic, hoping she doesn't freeze.
Panic, panic.
She's obviously feeling nervous.
That might be the end of them.
She's freaking out.
She is freaking out right now.
In three! Two! One! Go! And he's out! Here we go! Mess up! Mess up! He's got one flag.
She's fumbling with the handcuffs.
He's got one clipped, and he's moving down.
He's making some good time.
She still struggling with that handcuff.
Oh, panic sets in! He's got another flag.
All right, she finally got the cuffs, she's working the lock now.
And remember, she cannot launch until she is unlocked.
He's got another flag.
Mess up! Mess up! Come on! It's hard! A minute in, he is moving! He's moving faster than anybody.
She's having a hard time with the lock.
He's got the sixth flag! Come on, you old people! You're s you're not you don't belong here! He's looking for the last flag.
Now he's got to wait for her though.
She's struggling.
Come on, Amy.
Come on, Amy.
She's panicking right now! This could be new hope for you, Jessica.
Mess up! You're old! You don't belong on the show! She's losing track of her keys.
Oh, she got one! And she's working on the second one now.
Come on, Amy.
Come on, Amy.
Come on, Amy.
You got this.
Are you freaking kidding me? Yes! All right, she got the second one! She got it! There she goes! Oh, my God! Their time was two minutes and 45 seconds.
So, davi and Jessica, still not looking so good.
Shane and pauline, you guys are next.
- Yeah, thank you, davi.
- Top of the world.
What's your story? Where'd you guys meet? - Burning man.
- Burning man? Six years ago.
I kind of had some handcuffs.
She was on top of this, um, r.
V.
, spinning fire.
Got her down, and I just latched her on to it and dragged her off.
And so he handcuffs himself to you, out there in this crazy desert party.
So you said, "okay, I'm just chained to this guy.
I'm gonna go with the flow.
" Totally! Yeah.
"This is my direction.
" Wow.
Dude, you picked a good one.
Yeah.
You picked the right girl to handcuff yourself to.
Thank you.
Shane and pauline, good luck to you.
Get on out there.
Go get yours.
All right, girl.
You ready? - Yeah, you ready? - Huh? You ready to do this? Huh? I can't wait.
All right, it's easy, you know? Just Just make love to this tree and, uh And you make love to that ladder.
All right.
Amy Jo, it looked like you were having some problems there.
- I was freaking out.
- Two minutes and 45 seconds.
Congratulations, you move on to the next round.
Why? All because of davi.
All right, pauline.
Their time to beat is five minutes and 35 seconds! I'm gonna count you down! In three! Two! One! Go! She's working on the handcuffs.
We know she has experience with handcuffs.
She's loose.
She got free of those handcuffs really quick.
All right, he's got the first flag.
She's working on the first lock.
She's doing a good job of organizing her keys.
Davi, you better hope he falls off.
She got the first lock very quick.
He's spinning around a bit.
He's getting a little twisted in the wind.
Hell yes! Get this off me! She is free! She's waiting on him.
Davi, your only hope now is if he falls off.
Go! We're so close! Right there, babe, go! He's working on that last flag.
He's got it! Now he's going for the rip cord.
Oh, my God! - Yeah! - Whoo! Two minutes and 17 seconds! Well, you knew somebody had to get eliminated today, and, unfortunately, it's you guys.
It was very nice meeting you.
Nice meeting you.
Take care.
See ya.
- Bye.
- Bye.
Bye, guys.
I'm sorry.
It sucks that we lost and we're going home.
I would have rather us been the underdogs that made it all the way to the end, but I'm just happy I beat Ronnie's time.
This won't be the last that you see of us.
Guarantee you that.
All right, everybody, congratulations.
You all move on to the next round.
Let's go get Shane and pauline and see what we have in store next.
Come on.
I know I'm, you know, in some ways, I may be the weaker part of the team, and that makes me nervous, so I actually have a lot of pressure on myself today.
While they may have looked at us and thought, "oh, here's the soft, pastor couple," I was not surprised at all when we came in the first, but yet, at the same time, I remain cautiously confident, in that I know that, any minute, any slip-up could be the end of the competition.
I think even though we haven't known each other for very long, I think we know each other better, and we anticipate each other a lot better than some of the other couples.
I still think we're the wildcard of the bunch.
This is some serious, life-changing cash on the line, and anything can happen.
Come on in, guys.
- Hi.
- What's up? Welcome back.
Welcome back.
How is everyone doing today? - Good.
- We're here.
You are here, but you still have four more stunts to go for a shot at $100,000.
Ready to see your next stunt? Yeah.
Inside that bathtub over there are thousands of bloodsucking leeches.
- Oh, my gosh.
- Are you kidding me? Ready to see your next stunt? Yeah.
- All right.
Oh, my gosh.
Inside this beaker Are hundreds of bloodsucking leeches.
And inside that bathtub over there are thousands more.
The female partner is going to have to lie in that bathtub covered with thousands of leeches.
You will then climb out of the tub and run over to your partner, who will then suck 30 leeches off your body.
Are you kidding me? Each of you will then eat ten leeches.
Oh, my God.
The team that does this the slowest will be eliminated.
Now, we have randomly selected today's order, and Ronnie and Andrea, once again, you guys are lucky number one.
- Going first sucks, man.
- So do those leeches.
They suck too.
They suck as well, good point.
Go get you some leeches.
Get up there.
Here we go.
Let's go.
Good luck, you guys.
Good luck, you guys.
All right, what do you think about this? Pauline, you all right over there? Are you freaking out at all? Yeah, this is kinda the last thing I wanted to happen, so Thelathing you wanted to happen? Yeah, I don't like things sticking to me.
Amy Jo, are you freaking out about this at all? - Well, yeah.
- Yeah? Absolutely.
Mmm.
They're moving around.
Okay, Ronnie.
Help her into the tub.
Once you're in there, you have to stay in for at least 30 seconds so the leeches can latch on.
Remember, just be still.
Thousands of live, bloodsucking leeches.
- Come on, get down.
- Oh, my God! Andrea, you can handle it.
Time starts now! Oh, my God! Slow down your breathing.
Oh, my God.

Oh, I don't want those leeches, so don't hug me too hard.
You're good though.
Those last three, it was close.
Eating was really nasty, because they tasted gross, and I thought that they would break apart more than they did.
It was just really gnarly.
At the end, you were mashing those suckers and swallowing them so quick.
Solid.
They're good, huh? You did those last three like you were a wild piranha.
- You did.
- Congratulations, you are moving on to the next round.
Way to go.
Excellent job, guys.
Shane and pauline.
And pauline closes her eyes and winces.
Little nervous? Oh, yeah.
- Yeah? - I mean, I might lose it.
I might lose it right You might lose it? - Yeah, I might break.
- You ready? - Kind of.
Yes.
- All right, step on in, guys, and good luck to you.
She's gonna freak out.
For sure.
She's white as a ghost and she's fidgeting and moving around.
I didn't think I would react like that, so I have no idea when she already thinks that's how she's gonna react how she'll react.
Pauline, step on in the tub.
All right, girl.
Come on, get in there.
That's what you call a freak-out.

Good, good.
Done! 4:03.
Congratulations! Ohh! Yeah, baby! Uhh! Pauline, you kept it together.
You were freaking out more than anybody in there, but you kept it together, and you're automatically advancing.
Whoo! Ohh! That's what I'm talking about.
All right, come on.
Let's go join everybody else.
And now It is down to Earl and Amy Jo.
Amy Jo, you look freaked out right now.
I'm gonna tell ya.
I need to take a breath.
- Come on, pull it together.
- I'm ready, I'm ready.
I saw Earl was giving you some pep talks.
What was he telling you? Ahem.
He said, "focus is for your kids.
" He said, "just think about that.
It it's for your kids.
" It hit home when he said that, and I took it in, I thought about it, and It has to happen, so I'm gonna give it my best.
If you can beat four minutes and 47 seconds, you will automatically advance.
And you can do this.
You've seen everybody else do it.
You're more than capable of doing it.
Are you ready? I'm ready.
Get on out there and make it happen! Come on! You got powers.
Come on, you got powers.
Come on, Earl.
Andrea, you're so nice.
You're telling 'em "good luck.
" That's so sweet.
Do you think Amy Jo and Earl are gonna be able to do this? I really hope she lets her kids down.
That's all I can say.
Ohh ho, that's It's no big deal.
Don't think about leeches.
Just think about something else.
Okay.
I'm good.

Make sure you don't lose the leeches.
Hurry up, hurry up.
You're taking too long.
Uhh! Oh, I don't know if you have 30 leeches on you.
If there's not 30 leeches on you, you've gotta go back in and get more! She doesn't have very many at all.
He's gonna have to search.
12This is not 30.
You're gonna have to get back in there.
- Oh, , no! - 13.
I don't know if there's gonna be 30.
It's gonna be like a treasure hunt.
- 20! - That's not enough.
Okay.
Come on, hon, come on.
Come on, hurry.
Hurry, hurry, hurry.
This is taking some time.
Please.
Oh, God, I - Oh, God.

- Go.
Eight! Eat two, eat two, eat two.
Nine! Quick, quick, quick.
Time! All right.
Good job, you guys.
Nice job, Amy Jo.
Earl and Amy Jo, welcome back.
Now obviously, Amy Jo, you didn't have enough leeches on you.
And it seemed like the water was beading up on you, like you're oiled up or something.
I didn't have oil on me.
Did you put lotion on your skin? I had lotion on earlier this morning.
Oh, there it is.
That lotion cost you a lot of time.
Your time to beat was four minutes and 47 seconds.
How do you guys think you did? I don't know.
It was close.
Four minutes 35 seconds.
Congratulations! You move on to the next round.
Yeah! And what a struggle it was.
Whoo! Congratulations.
Ronnie and Andrea, I'm very sorry.
But this is the end of the line for you guys.
It was very nice meeting you, but we gotta send you off.
You did good.
Nice meeting you guys.
Bye.
Take care.
It's hard to not imagine all the times where one second could've been saved.
There's nothing worse than being beaten by one second.
It makes me feel like if you had just pushed two seconds harder that you could've won.
Then we still would be in the game.
This was a tough one.
Ladies especially.
You guys came through.
Congratulations.
And you all will move on to the next round.
And you are all that much closer to $100,000.
Way to go, everybody.
Good job.
Well, we're gonna get out of here.
And let's see what we have next in store for you guys.
Come with me.
All right.
It's all about, you know, who's gonna break down when.
You know, what point are we all just gonna crash? We're just staying focused because we saw yesterday one second boom! You're done.
I didn't realize how bad I wanted or needed to win until I got so emotional yesterday.
The key to winning yesterday was Amy.
She did everything she needed to do I know she's not gonna give up on me.
So I owe that to her.
- Hello, everybody.
- Hi.
Well, as we can see, we're down to two teams.
Sarah and Keith have decided to withdraw from the competition.
And with three stunts left and $100,000 on the line, we have to round things out a bit.
So We are gonna bring back Jessica and davi and Ronnie and Andrea.
Welcome back.
That's right.
Hey, what's up, guys? Who would've thought we would see davi again? - I'm back.
- The pistol.
- Jessica, you're back! - I'm back.
Andrea, Ronnie, what's up? - Hey.
- Hanging out.
Fate has brought us all back together again.
Unfortunately though, for you two replacement teams, only one of you is gonna stay.
And we're gonna settle this the Fear Factor way.
Here's how it works.
Oh, my gosh.
Oh, my God! Next time onFear Factor Step right up to the Fear Factor wheel of misfortune.
With such amazing stops on the wheel like "get your head shaved," aah! "Get tear-gassed.
" Or get tattooed.
Aah!
the stunts you're about to see were all designed and supervised by trained professionals.
