America's Got Talent s07e31 Episode Script
Finale
I've been at this for 25 years.
I've been scratching and clawing the entire time.
So to win America's Got Talent, would be something that I've been dreaming of my entire life.
It's a little bit of a of a climb to get over that cliff and say I really think I can win this thing.
To come to another country and be on a show like this.
It's amazing.
Ever since we started this thing, it's gotten bigger and bigger, and it's what we want.
We want to win this.
We want to win so bad.
If we would win, it would mean the world to us.
The sky is the limit.
I'm sitting here right now because people want to see me win my journey that have pushed me and motivated me and inspired me.
I want to win this incredibly bad.
This has been the most incredible experience in my life.
All my failures.
All my victories.
Everything has prepared me for this moment.
Live it's America's Got Talent.

Give it up for your America's Got Talent judges, Mr.
Howie Mandel.
Sharon Osbourne! And Howard Stern.
Wow.
Howard it was an incredible final, right? It was.
Look, this was the first season for me.
I never would have imagined when we started this journey together that here we would be with such incredible talent.
When we first started I said I don't know.
Are we going to find anybody? Has America tapped out? But, man, we've really found some incredible people, and it's an honor to have been here for this season.
So, we're all set for an insane night.
Six acts.
One prize, one winner.
Are you guys ready? America, please welcome your finalists.

The power that this show has it absolutely changes peoples lives.
What would you have gotten yourself into? I don't know.
All I know is I'm exhausted already.
We all have big dreams.
We have to pursue it with everything we have.
- What is your name? - William Close.
I'm Tom.
Tom Cotter.
You think what you're going to show us is worth $1 million? - I have to say, yes.
- Prove it.
We are the greatest country in the world.
We have the most creative people.
You, sir, are a phenomenal talent.
Sharon, I've always had the hots for you! Oh, no.
Oh! Smack me right in the head.
The moment I saw you, I knew I was going to pick you.
I wish you good luck.
Ever perform in front of a big crowd like this? I've never performed in front of anybody.
Just to be right here, dreams came true.
Thank you.
I have to say, yes! You're going to Las Vegas.
Welcome to Las Vegas.
Out of the hundreds of people that we have sent through, we have to widle it down to 48.
After this, America's takes over.
We've come to a decision.
I'm so sorry.
It ends here.
This whole process got very real to me.
There is no easy way to say this.
You're going to New York.
Eric and I have some good news.
We are live! Make some noise! People don't realize the pressure of a live show, and this is make it or break it.
- What number? - Four.
That's amazing.
Security! You have talent! That performance was sensational.
You are a star.
Thank you for bringing us back to the finals, because I love you! Going into the finals William Close! Tom Cotter! Joe Castillo! The untouchables! Olate Dogs! David Garibaldi and his CMYK's! In a 90-second audition, these contestants could change their lives forever.
One act really is going to change tonight.
Okay, this is dope.
It's a duet.
And it's art meets music.
It's David Garibaldi and his CMYK's, and the international superstar who sold more than 65 million records worldwide, with his brand-new single, I cry! Give it up for Flo Rida! David Garibaldi and his CMYK's and Flo Rida! Oh, he got paint on them.
It's serious.
Thank you, guys.
That was amazing.
Still to come, more duets, more crazy stuff going on the stage.
Plus some crucial results.
Plus we've got Green Day and Justin Bieber.
And after the break it's Ne-Yo.
Ladies and gentlemen, one more time David Garibaldi and his CMYK's and Flo Rida! Yeah, welcome back to America's Got Talent, the finale, live from the New Jersey performing arts center in Newark! Later tonight we'll find out who you have chosen as your winner, and you can catch up with whoever that is on "The Today Show" on NBC tomorrow morning.
Now right now, it's about to go down.
On stage, a multiple grammy award winning singer/songwriter, and global superstar with his brand-new number one single "Let me love you until you learn to love yourself"! Give it up for my man, Ne-Yo! Hey! Incredible! My man, Ne-Yo! Good to see you, brother.
They just set it off up in here.
And that song is coming up on the new album, right? The Red album.
We've officially got a date for us? Yes, the Red album will be in stores November 6.
November 6 it is in stores.
So go to the polls and vote, and then right after that, go to stores, and get my album.
I heard you.
I heard you.
America, one more time for my man, Ne-Yo! You are right, great minds think alike.
Okay, last night the judges sat down to talk about the best stuff they saw on yesterday's finals.
Take a look.
- Can I just say something about Tom Cotter? - Yes.
It's so exciting for me having a comedian in the finals.
This is the first.
Out of all the acts we have, William Close is the most original.
I have a really special place in my heart for William Close.
Because I remember it was my first show.
It was like okay, we found the winner.
We can go home.
The Untouchables are just way and above every other dance group that we've seen this year.
I don't think I've seen adults dance like that.
They are remarkable.
Joe Castillo is a great guy.
This year I've said many times is about originality and uniqueness, and he he checks off those boxes.
I don't know if I'd want to take him to the beach.
It'll be enough already with the stories that get out of the sand.
Olate Dogs.
From the moment I saw them, I was just insane about them.
I think we've all seen animal acts and dog acts.
And I'm seeing skill that I've never seen before.
With one dog, with several dogs.
I am so pleased that David Garibaldi made the distance.
At the end, you have this beautiful work of art that I would hang in my home, except for the statue of liberty that looked like this.
That's it.
I can't wait to see how America votes.
So diverse the talent.
It's so entertaining and it's so wild.
I think we did what we came here to do.
Exactly.
Exactly.
After the break, earth harp creator, William Close performs with one of the hottest bands in the world, One Republic.
And later, we've got Green Day and Justin Bieber.
Welcome back to America's Got Talent the finale! It's a party up in here.
Newark, make some noise! If you want to be up here winning a million dollars next year, come and audition.
All you have to do is go to NBC.
com/AG to find out everything you need to know.
Okay.
Here's another incredible duet.
There are a lot of strings coming up on the stage, I promise you.
It's William Close and platinum selling band, One Republic! William Close, and One Republic.
Great job, great job.
Good to see you guys again.
One Republic has a new album coming out November 19th, so watch out for it.
All right, you guys.
We are getting close to the first results, one act will be leaving the competition, time to start getting nervous.
And after the break, we look back at some of the best, worst, and craziest auditions of the season.
Right now though, I want you to give it up one more time for William Close and One Republic! This is America's Got Talent the finale! It was all or nothing last night for the acts.
If you perform best, you would win.
But after the show, you can let all that teaching go.
Here's what was popping in the ***.
We're twins tonight.
That's my dog.
Every time you rip off some clothing.
Oh, there it is again.
I can pull this off.
Don't forget to check them out online at NBC.
com.
Tweets from all the judges, contestants and fans.
That's what's popping! All right.
*** They say you should never work with children or animals.
Boy, is this guy in for some trouble.
Here's Olate Dogs and The Untouchables with platinum selling singer, and songwriter who has just finished touring with J-Lo, give it up for Frankie J.
! Incredible.
Olate Dogs.
The Untouchables.
And my man, Frankie J.
! Keep it going for him, guys.
Outstanding.
In our search for the best acts in the country, we've come across some that are pretty weird, wonderful and just plain old crazy.
Take a look at this classic year.
We're anxious to hit our buzzers.
Oh, did I say that? Come on down and make some noise! I'm very confused.
And she's married to Ozzie Osbourne and she's confused.
Yeah! At least a few implants had exploded we would have had excitement.
What's the matter with your mouth? Oh? She's got lockjaw.
Explain to me what happened.
The apple is too big.
It just was a disaster.
It was a disaster.
But you gave it serious effort.
Mike and I appreciate that.
I don't appreciate the rudeness.
I would never speak to you that way, ever.
Oh, look.
She's got nail polish on.
She's got a mani-pedi.
My name is Trish like fish.
*** I'm not an actor.
I just needed to make up a talent.
That is the sweetest thing I've ever heard.
- Hi, what's your name? - Burton Crane.
What's your talent? I'm the grandfather of rap.
Let's see what you got.
What you gonna do, what you gonna do? What you gonna do? Got a yes from you, you and you.
So what you gonna do? What you gonna do? What you gonna do? What you gonna do? What you gonna do? Whew! What you gonna do? I tell you what I'm going to do.
I'm going to bed tonight.
America, give it up for the grandfather of rap, Burton Crane! Mama kids they go to school she don't know that it's a zoo ride the cot and sniff some glue what you gonna do, what you gonna do, what you gonna do? What you gonna do? * we out here driving a fortune! What you gonna do, what you gonna do what you gonna do what you gonna do what you gonna do what you gonna do hey, what you gonna do, hey what you gonna do like a strobe light.
Diamonds on my wrist.
You called me up What you gonna do what you gonna do what you gonna do what you gonna do, what you gonna do what you gonna do what you gonna do what you gonna do what you gonna do what you gonna do It's incredible.
Hey, this is how we do it.
Give it up one more time! For E40, The Rangers, and the grandfather of rap, Burton Crane! What you gonna do? What you gonna do.
Still to come, we've got Green Day, Blue Man Group, and Justin Bieber.
Plus more and more songs with the duet.
And of course, the results.
Did you vote for your favorite win? We'll find out when we return.
Welcome back to America's Got Talent, the live finale.
We're getting a lot of surprises tonight.
And Howie, I hear you wanted to get in on this too.
Right now I'm tweeting live from Howie Mandel.
This has been an amazing year.
It really has.
And especially with our new judge, Howard Stern.
I've got to tell you, it was a thrill having him here.
I want to do something special for him as a gift for the end of the year.
I wanted to surprise him.
So I did.
And I put it on videotape, and I would like you to roll it so you can see what I did for Howard.
Okay, back it up.
Back it up.
All right.
Come on up.
This is going to be a surprise.
I don't want anybody to see.
I don't want to let the cat out of the bag.
You're the cat.
Lie on your back.
Keep you face down.
Down.
Yeah, there.
This is going to be a total surprise.
You okay? I think I'm going to faint.
Howie, I swear.
I want this to be nice.
I just want it to be special.
These little towns Could you spin the ball? I can't.
No, spin it.
You know what, it's not working right now.
Can you do other things? Back in the back.
If you're headed that way, he's going to see you.
Really, I have trouble breathing.
Let's go.
Let's do a show.
Howard, I know this is a surprise.
I just wanted to say this has been quite a year.
I feel the same way.
This is for you.
Open it up.
What the hell did you get me? Barry, it's great to see you.
Get back in the bag.
Hilarious.
Next up, three guys that have been blazing the stage all over the world with their crazy, original and insanely funny performances.
They've got something special just for us right here on America's Got Talent.
Give it up for Blue Man Group! It's time now to create the ultimate dance party.
The first step is to play a catchy melody.
This will cause the neurons in your brain to fire off in pleasant ways.
The next step is to get your body into it.
The best way to do this is by moing your rear end.
Or as some of you call it your hind quarters, your backside, your buttom, your buttocks, your junk in the trunk, your badonkadonk, your J.
Lo's, your mud flaps.
It is a party in here.
Ladies and gentlemen, at this time, we'd like to ask you to please give us our balls back.
Yeah, you heard them.
Give them their balls back.
You can catch the new show beginning in October at the Monte-Carlo resort and casino in Las Vegas.
I can't see because your balls are in the way.
Ladies and gentlemen make some noise for the Blue Man Group! Okay.
America's Got Talent is all about the acts, the good, the bad, and the just plain weird.
The same can be said for our judges.
You guys are freaking me out.
Take a look back at the judges season.
This is my town.
We're in L.
A.
, heading to the L.
A.
Auditions for season 7 of America's I got it.
I got it okay.
All right.
NBC must have been nuts to hire me.
Whose idea was this? Let's go find that person.
Very excited about Howard.
He's a very naughty boy, but I like him.
When Howard came, it was like a natural progression because I had known him for so long, so is Howie.
So it just felt right.
Am I the only jerk that came in a stretch limousine? Howard Stern is joining us, so I got him something little that says, hey, welcome home.
It's cold and flue season, Sharon.
Don't touch those people.
- Was he like this as a kid? - His whole life.
No, no! I don't want to be in this elevator anymore.
- Get out.
Get out.
- Why? I knew that.
The vibe totally changed this season.
And I think for the better.
Adding Howard and the fact that we came to New York.
I mean, it just felt like a totally different show.
I feel very Jersey Shore.
That is the way I feel.
It's weird when they say who is your favorite judge? I say me.
Howie says me, and then Sharon says me.
He just revels in the glory of himself.
The emperor has arrived.
Sharon is the tongue in between two storms.
Don't you both put a cork in it.
Sharon, I've always had the hots for you, Sharon.
Sharon, I've always had the hots for you! Oh, he runs in like a roadrunner.
Beep, beep, beep.
Don't touch, don't touch.
Oh, there is Howie Mandel.
What is that? Why are people doing that? I don't need to be touched.
Why do they have to do that? It's not funny.
I'm sorry, did I ruin my make-up? Howie and Howard have proven that white men don't have rhythm.
Season 7 we had a lot of craziness, which I always loved.
That made me like hands up, Howard! Get off your ass and do something.
Stop telling me what to do.
I tweet live during the show @howiemandel.
@howiemandel.
We know! As much as my fellow judges make fun of me for giving out my Twitter handle, @howiemandel, every break, Howie will lean in and Sharon will lean in, and go what's are they saying? What are they saying? And I'm going, "why do you make fun of me when all you want is my information.
" @howiemandel.
What other workplace would you have a coworker remove black heades from your ear? I'm going to get a second opinion and talk to the judges from the voice.
Truth be told, Howie and Sharon are absolutely fantastic.
They're a pleasure to work with.
It really is a better experience than I've ever had in broadcasting.
At the end of the day we are three very good friends.
And for me this has been the best season yet.
Howie and Howard have totally taken care of me.
They are the best, and it's just been a little piece of heaven.
Oh, it's a beautiful thing.
All right now.
Throughout this season, the judges have handed out some pretty harsh comments to all of our acts.
So now it's payback time.
We are going to roast the judges.
Oh, I can't wait for this.
This is going to be good.
Give it up for roast master, Tom Cotter! Thank you, everyone.
You know watching that video tribute to the judges, I couldn't help but get a little choked up, because the vomit got stuck in my throat.
Who are these guys to judge us? Seriously.
I mean, you've got a germ phobic game show host, you've got the bride of the prince of darkness, and fart man.
Please.
What do we know about them? We know that Howie lives in L.
A.
, we know that Howard lives in New York City, that Sharon lives in a castle in england, and Nick lives at Mariah Carey's house.
That's not fair.
Actually, even without Mariah Carey, Nick would be a fine host at Applebee's, I think.
You know what? Wow, you know what? This just feels awkward to me.
I can't be harsh to you guys, you've been so Wait a second, wait a second.
Joan Rivers? Hello, everybody.
Now, you don't to do that.
You are doing I've been watching you, Tom, you're doing very well.
But you're too nice.
You really didn't get them.
You know what I'm telling you? A roast should be really like pow, pow, pow.
So I have been a roaster, I have been a roastee, I've done more roasting than kernel Sanders in my time.
So let me show you how to do it.
With all due respect.
Okay.
Okay.
Rule number one, you work alone.
- Whoa! - Okay.
There will be no more children.
Okay.
First thing you do, you do the panel as a group.
You say things like look at this panel.
If I want to see three people who make tons of money and have no talent, I will not watch you guys, I would watch the Kardashians.
At least I can get three NBA tickets.
Now you go to the individual.
- Okay.
- Very important.
Howard, I know Howard.
- What? - It's hard to roast you.
I know that, my darling.
We go back so far.
I go back with you I go back when you were funnier than imus.
I mean, it it's just Oh, come on.
Yeah, yeah.
You understand half the audience hates you.
The other half go, yes! Sharon? Yes, my darling.
My darling, Sharon, it's great, great to see you in person.
I can't take it.
I love you.
Yes, you can.
I can't.
You can.
Because you are known to be a beauty.
Everyone says the English skin, that beauty, beauty, beauty.
They say it is so hard for you to look ugly.
So I want to thank you, because apparently tonight you were willing to make the effort.
You notice she's laughing.
But she pulled up her hair, she's been pulled as much as I have, and her ears were going ha, ha, ha.
- Howard? - Yes.
We've known each other forever again, and I would run over and give you a hug, - but I know that you're a germophobe.
- I am.
They say, I don't know but they say you won't even shake your own hand.
When you go to the toilet and finish peeing, you just jump up and down.
I do.
I love it.
And last but not least.
Nick, Nick, Nick.
Oh, come on.
Such a great darling man.
I love you.
You're so sweet, and you're a new father and you must be having My lord, you must be having so much fun with Mariah and those two, bouncing bundles of joy.
And I bet you like your twins too.
You've got to be a little meaner.
A little rougher.
- I'll give it a shot.
- So what did you learn? I learned to, never get shoved by you, I broke my coccyx I think.
What do we know? We know Howard's first season on TV, we all learned nothing.
We learned he had a great face for radio, because you Howard looks like the bastard child of Joey Ramon and Big Bird.
If Big Bird had Tourette Syndrome and a slightly larger beak.
Now here's the other thing.
Howie, what do you just walk into a barber shop and go can I have the gay pirate? Can I have that, please? That would be great.
The only eye candy up there is Sharon.
Sharon, and not only is she beautiful, she is actually very intelligent.
Speaks two languages fluently, English and Ozzie.
She gave me great advice about being a parent.
She gave me great advice.
She said basically you just have to handle the awkward questions like where do babies come from and who bit the head off my gerbil.
How did I do? Did I do okay? I'm so proud of you.
I've been watching you.
So proud of you.
If I had a heart, it would be overflowing.
Thank you so much.
Joan Rivers! Joan Rivers, everybody! Ladies and gentlemen, one more time for Tom Cotter, and the star of fashion police, Joan Rivers, ladies and gentlemen! All right.
After the break, the wait is over.
Two acts go home.
Stay right there.
Welcome back to America's Got Talent, the finale.
We're just a couple of minutes away from getting our first result, and it's getting tense backstage.
Right now, here's a duet featuring an incredible sand artist, and the kids from Staten island who rose to national stardom when they were just fifth graders.
With "Edge of Glory", please welcome Joe Castillo and the former members of the PS-22 chorus.
There ain't no reason you and me should be alone tonight, yeah, baby tonight, yeah, baby and I got a reason that you make me feel at home tonight all right, all right because it feels the rush, to brush the dangerous I'm gonna run right to to the edge with you so we can all fall over in love I'm on the edge of glory and I'm hanging on a moment of truth out on the edge of glory and I'm hanging on a moment with you I'm on the edge, the edge, the edge, the edge, the edge, the edge, the edge I'm on the edge of glory and I'm hanging on a moment with you I'm on the edge with you I'm on the edge of glory and I'm hanging on the moment with you I'm on the edge of glory And I'm hanging on a moment with you I'm on the edge, the edge, the edge, the edge, the edge, the edge, the edge I'm on the edge of glory and I'm hanging on a moment with you I'm on the edge with you Outstanding.
Ladies and gentlemen, keep it going.
One more time for Joe Castillo and these amazing young people.
Okay.
Last night all of the finalists took to the stage trying to win your votes.
It was the biggest challenge of their live lives and they gave us some sensational performances.
This piece of art I would hang in my home.
This is fabulous.
I had no idea what you were painting.
I think you did a great job.
It was worth it.
It was fantastic.
Sleeping Beauty.
Remember the story? The girl passes out, and the guy starts kissing her.
That's illegal, ladies and gentlemen.
You have scraped and clawed your way to the top.
A comedian deserves to win America's Got Talent, and it should be you.
I would have liked it if you had done something more spiritual again.
However, you know, you're brilliant at what you do.
This is terrific.
You really are remarkable and I'm glad you're in the finals.
Every line tonight was perfect, every move perfection.
It was so quick, so in your face.
You should be so proud of yourself.
Every single time you step it up.
You are a visionary.
You will have shows all over the world.
This is a million dollars win.
You're a contender.
It's just amazing.
Every time you bring a new trick.
You know, Sharon, that dog you're holding might be a millionaire.
Okay, this is it.
After months of auditions, rehearsals, performances, judging and voting, we're about to reveal tonight's first results.
Please welcome back the six finalists.
The Untouchables! William Close! Tom Cotter! David Garibaldi and his CMYK's! Joe Castillo! And Olate Dogs! Six acts with six dreams.
One act will be going home right now.
Let's find out what you decided.
America has voted.
The act finishing in sixth place and leaving the competition is: The Untouchables! Keep it going for them.
Give it up for The Untouchables.
They were amazing on the show.
You guys were awesome.
How was your time here? It was amazing.
We're so glad that we got to the finals, and we couldn't ask for anything more.
Sharon, what would you like to say to these young people? I would like to say you should be so proud of yourselves.
You have come so far in this contest, and don't be sad, little one, because it's my last show too.
So we're both leaving together.
Okay? Hand in hand.
- Smile.
- You're going to make everybody cry.
This is just the beginning for you guys, okay? That is true.
Ladies and gentlemen, one more time for the untouchables! Give it up for them.
You guys have been great.
Thank you so much, guys.
Thank you.
Okay.
Five acts left.
But right now, one more is going home.
Good luck to everyone.
This is tense.
America has voted.
The act finishing in fifth place and leaving the competition is: Joe Castillo.
How was your time on the show? It was wonderful, and I especially like to thank all of America, the people that voted.
Thank the judges, thank you Nick, and AGT for the privilege of being on this stage.
God has given me a wonderful opportunity to tell sand stories, and I will continue to do that.
You gave us a wonderful opportunity throughout this journey to look at your stories, be inspired by your stories, learn by your stories and be entertained by your stories, and I think you truly opened up our minds and led us down an original path we've never seen before.
The shame of tonight is there can only be one winner, so, you know, five of you have to go home.
But I'm glad that you entered into our lives.
So congratulations.
True statement right there.
We're going to miss you, Joe.
Ladies and gentlemen, give it up one more time for Joe Castillo! Thank you very much.
So now there are four acts left.
After the break another act will be heading home.
Will it be your favorite? Still to come.
Justin Bieber and Green Day.
So you don't want to move.
This is America's Got Talent the finale.
We started the night off with six acts; and now we're down to the top four.
William Close, Tom Cotter, David Garibaldi and his CMYK's, and Olate Dogs.
Time to get nervous again.
We're about to find out which act has finished in fourth place.
Good luck to everyone.
America has voted.
The act finishing in fourth place and leaving the competition is: David Garibaldi and his CMYK's.
Keep it going for him.
David, how was your time on the show, man? It's been the most amazing journey in my life.
On behalf of all of us, we want to thank God.
We want to thank our families.
We want to thank America for voting, the judges, but also we want to dedicate our journey to an amazing artist who paved the way for me to do this.
A man by the name of Denny Zent who invented this style of painting.
I think many people should know that.
So thank you, America.
Howard, what would you like to say to these guys.
David, you are certainly a remarkable talent.
You mentioned the word, journey.
That's how I feel.
From the first time I saw you, I was amazed.
Then each week you stepped it up, and you should be very proud of yourselves.
Take a big bow tonight, because you electrified our lives.
Thank you for being here.
You're wonderful, really.
We're definitely going to miss you guys.
America make some noise one more time for David Garibaldi and the CMYK's.
Now we are down to the top three.
The million dollars is getting closer.
The next results are coming up.

I feel you now.
You know you're going up on a big tour.
For the benefit of our contestants, can you tell us how much work goes into putting together a big show? Putting on a big show, there is a lot of work.
You've got to dance.
You've got to be in the studio.
Be in there all day long.
What's up, ladies? There you have it.
Justin's believe tour is kicking off September 29th at Glendale, Arizona.
It's going to be major.
All right.

But right now, give it up one more time for my dude Big Sean and Justin Bieber! Welcome back to America's Got Talent, the finale.
Whoever wins tonight will be starring in a spectacular show at the Venetian-Palazzo in Las Vegas.

Nick, I want to say, this being my first season, I want to thank you for being so gracious.
You've been tremendous to work with.
And I tell people all the time that no one is better to a contestant after they've been given the ax, your compassion has been remarkable, and I love working with you.
Thank you.
Really.
It's been a real pleasure and you're a real pro.
Let's look at some of the weirder and crazier moments you've had backstage.
- Okay.
- Here we go.
The host of America's Got Talent, Nick Cannon! Oh, yeah.
Do we have million dollars talent? Welcome back.
Whoa, where'd you go? - Hanging out with Nick.
- Really? Happy Birthday.
By the way, remember, Nick Cannon is a married man.
Then why did he give me his number? - Oh.
- We like you.
You used the bathroom on me.
Oh my goodness.
At 85 he was starling me.
Oh, you see what daddy does? I'm gonna get dressed and get this duct tape off my nipples.
I'm Nick Cannon, with a very big Cannon.
Is there somebody sitting in a room each year going "where can we put Nick?" San Francisco! Full steam ahead.
You know what, let's hang him off the end of the Grand Canyon.
No, I've got an idea.
Needless to say, even when they put him on the stage, they don't make it easy for him.
How about Nick Cannon.
No, Nick, no.
- Are you going to shoot in that direction, right? - That direction.
You know, that's where Nick Cannon stands.
Shoot that way.
Rough and tough.
Say AGT! Right on.
Now I'm going to have to go to my trailer and hang out.
You guys can't come in there.
There are a lot of host-like things going on in there.
Thank you, guys.
Oh, stop it.
Sit down thank you.
In just a couple of minutes we'll find out which new act got the most votes last night.
Before that, here's a band that's sold over 65 million albums worldwide.
They've won multiple grammy awards and they're releasing three albums over the next four months.
Please go crazy for Green Day! One more time for the amazing Green Day.
Green Day.
Great job guys! Nice! Appreciate it.
The first of Green Day's three new albums drops September 26th.
Coming up, the top three will become the top two, who is going home? You'll find all of that out after the break.
But right now, ladies and gentlemen, Welcome back to America's Got Talent, the finale.
We have three acts left in the competition.
William Close! Tom Cotter! And Olate Dogs! They all have come so far.
But for one more act, it's the end of the road.
Good luck to all of you.
America's has voted.
The act finishing in third place and leaving the competition is: William Close.
Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for William! Keep it going for him.
They're standing on their feet for you.
You hear the crowd.
They love you.
What are you taking away from this experience? You know, I'd just like to say that I made it to third place on this amazing stage, the big result after the break.
And that rocks.
Yes, it does.
Sharon, what do you want to say to William? William, I've been on this show, this is my sixth year, and there's never been talent that is of the quality of you guys who have stood on this stage.
You should be so proud of yourselves.
You are going to go on to amazing, amazing things and so many opportunities.
I want to take this opportunity to thank Simon Cowell.
Because without him, we wouldn't be here.
So thank you, Simon Cowell, and he will do great things for you.
He will.
I really would love to just thank the show.
This show is amazing.
It allows a person like me who is pushing boundaries and coming up with new ideas a place to share what he does.
And I'm grateful.
- Thank you so much.
- Thank you.
All right.
You've been a great act.
We're definitely going to miss you.
Ladies and gentlemen, make some noise for William Close.
All right.
We have Olate Dogs and Tom Cotter.
All right.
One of them is going to win the ultimate prize.
$1 million and a headline show in Las Vegas.
Who did you vote for? Welcome back to America's Got Talent, the finale.
This is the biggest talent show in the world with the biggest prize, $1 million.
And a headline show in Las Vegas.
Tens of thousands of acts started out hoping they could win, and we are down to the top two.
Now, it's time to reveal your winner.
America, here are your top two acts.
Tom Cotter and Olate Dogs.
From the moment they walked out on the stage at the auditions, they've been on a blind blowing journey.
Take a look.
What are you going to do for us today? Telling jokes.
Tom, make us laugh.
Now they've bounced up-and-down on their tramp-Arlene, that was their daughter's name, Arlene.
- How long have you been doing this? - 23 years in a row.
It's a yes.
Unbelievable.
I'll see you in New York.
We are not in Kansas anymore.
- Tom Cotter.
- You are so talented.
You're gifted and funny.
The fact that my dad is going to come and see me perform.
Amazing.
Young people Pierce their nipples.
I couldn't.
I'd wear a clip on.
I could never.
You are an amazing comic.
Going into the finals is Tom Cotter.
I want my kids to be proud of me.
This is by far and away the biggest thing I've ever done.
- What is the name of the act? - Olate Dogs.
That's a dog act! This is the most amazing, best animal act I've ever seen.
My dad is infatuated with the dogs.
He's in love with them completely.
I think he's more one of the dogs.
My dogs are my family.
A standing ovation.
They are magnificent.
All the dog lovers out there know how difficult this is, and what a bond you two have with these animals.
Olate Dogs.
They are performers, but they're still dogs, and they never stop being dogs.
My dogs are my life.
The whole competition has been leading up to this moment.
Tom, last night, Howard said you always leave him wanting more and you are a terrific comedian.
Howie said you've been scratching and clawing for 25 years, but last night you scratched and clawed your way to the top.
Olate Dogs.
Last night, Howard said you guys are phenomenal and you've done a phenomenal job with a level of expertise that he's never seen before.
And Sharon said it was pure love on the stage and you make her so happy.
All right.
All right.
Let's find out who the nation has chosen as the best new act in America.
Good luck to everyone.
America has voted.
The winner of the $1 million and the star of the headline show in Las Vegas is: Olate Dogs! Congratulations.
- How does it feel? - Amazing.
It's the best thing that's ever happened.
Great job, great job.
Tom Cotter, keep it going for us.
This has been amazing.
It's going down.
Tom, how was your experience on the show? Unbelievable.
It's really great.
I'm going to fall down the stairs to get my own million dollars tonight.
One more time, Tom Cotter.
Howard.
What do you want to say? I just want to say how great a night this is.
What a phenomenal season.
We've seen some incredible talent.
Congratulations to the Olate Dogs, we know the hours they put in.
It all paid off today.
Wonderful night.
Yes, it was.
America give it up one more time for Olate Dogs and all of our finalists.
It's been a great night and a great season.
Let's hear it one more time for our judges.
We'll be back next year, and you can check out Olate Dogs on "The Today Show" tomorrow morning.
The season finale.
Please welcome your host Nick Cannon! Yeah! This is America's Got Talent, the finale! Yeah.
What's happening? Last night our six acts left everything on the stage.
It was one last performance to win $1 million dollars.
Tonight, we find out who you've chosen.
All right, now, this is going to be a life changing experience for these acts tonight.
It's going to be a good time for you at home as well.
Coming up on the stage, we've got Green Day, Blue Man Group, Ne-Yo, One Republic, Flo Rida, E40, The Rangers, Breaking J, and Justin Bieber.
Oh, yeah, throw it down.
And our finalists will be performing duets with sensational superstars.
So take the phone off the hook.
Switch off your cells.
It's going to be an incredible night.
First here are the three people who have guided and advised the finalists from day one.
The Untouchables! William Close! Tom Cotter! David Garibaldi and his CMYK's! Joe Castillo.
And Olate Dogs.
For all of the acts tonight, getting to the finals has been an incredible journey.
Take a look.
You have to be special.
You have to be different.
@howiemandel.

Ladies and gentlemen, keep it going for Big Sean and Justin Bieber! Hey, all right now, Justin.
Taking your clothes off and everything.
Just getting comfortable.
You're going to keep making them scream.
I feel you now.
You know you're going up on a big tour.
For the benefit of our contestants, can you tell us how much work goes into putting together a big show? Putting on a big show, there is a lot of work.
You've got to dance.
You've got to be in the studio.
Be in there all day long.

Whoever wins tonight will be starring in a spectacular show at the Venetian-Palazzo in Las Vegas.
It starts September 26th.
For tickets go to NBC.
com/AGT.
