Dynasty s08e11 Episode Script
The New Moguls
I have a little assignment for you.
I want the minutes from the board meetings at Denver-Carrington.
You're asking me to spy.
What if I say no? Then I suppose you'll have to weigh the consequences of what you know against what I know.
That's blackmail.
Last time on Dynasty: Blake told me about you and Fallon.
I'm so sorry.
She's looking for her independence, and I'm looking for someone who's there just for me.
I came by to ask why you quit.
It looks like you're quitting more than the football team.
I didn't think it mattered to you.
You're wrong.
It does matter.
Look.
Don't do that, Sammy Jo.
We had our one-night stand.
That's all you wanted.
"Mr.
And Mrs.
Blake Carrington will be pleased to accept your invitation to the fair.
" The pleasure is going to be all mine.
Let the fair begin.
All I know is I drew a number and Alexis drew the matching number.
And you're going to be doing? You're going to "engage in a struggle to the finish"? We have a short film tonight of their most recent visit to the centre.
May we begin, please? The Harmon Springs Drug Rehabilitation Centre is not the only place Blake Carrington has recently visited.
Blake Carrington often takes time off from his busy campaign schedule for a little rest and relaxation out of town at Cora Van Husen's house of prostitution.
Stop that film.
What the devil is going on here? All in all, I think it's been quite an evening.
Excuse me.
Mr.
Carrington, phone call.
Oh, thank you, Jeanette.
Who could that be calling this early in the morning? I have no idea.
Hello? Yes, this is Blake Carrington.
Look, I don't know how you got this number, but I have no statement to make.
Your deadlines are not my problem.
Now, if you want a statement about that bordello video tape, then you call my headquarters.
The press.
You'd think they'd show a little more concern about the real issues in this campaign.
Yes? It's gonna get uglier, isn't it? It's just a cheap smear campaign.
That's what it is.
Blake, it's so unfair because it's not true.
You don't know how important it is for me to hear you say that.
But we have got to do something.
We've got to.
I'm not defending Josh.
I could have handled it.
You didn't have to make a scene.
I'm That's funny, because I thought it was Josh who made a scene.
Or am I wrong about that? And am I wrong or did he propose to you last night? I have no intention of marrying him.
Look, Steven, when you set the ground rules for moving back in, I never intended to To what? To have an affair with him? I didn't have an affair with him.
Did you sleep with him? Haven't you ever made a mistake? One mistake that you've regretted? I'm only human.
I made a mistake.
Look, Sammy Jo, I know this isn't an easy lifestyle we're attempting, but Josh Harris isn't the answer.
He's trouble.
He's trouble none of us needs.
Steven.
Please don't hate me.
I could never hate you.
Don't you know that? I, Jeff, take thee, Fallon I, Fallon, take thee, Jeff - to be my lawful wedded wife - to be my lawful wedded husband Weatherman says there might be a chance of rain.
You tried that same ploy last time I was up here.
I remember.
Krystle had just moved into the house, and you thought your world was coming to an end.
So you climbed your thinking tree to work your problem out.
Is that what you're doing now? I used to think I could solve any problem up here.
Just think it out and the answer would come.
But my problems were a lot simpler then.
Last time, I asked you to come down and talk it over.
This time, it's not that easy.
Fallon, whatever happens, I want you to know I love you very much.
Well, now we've got a front-page editorial about last night.
Look at this.
I tell you, I don't know how we're gonna be able to prove that Alexis is behind this.
Right now I'm more concerned about undoing the damage.
I'll have a statement out to the press before noon.
If only we could get a look at that tape, trace it, prove that it's been tampered with.
Now, darling.
You mustn't let this get to you.
But it's sad what they're doing to you.
One way or another, we'll clear it up.
Come to think of it, it would be tremendously helpful if we could track down that tape.
Trouble is, if it is Alexis, it's not gonna be that easy.
Well, this is excellent.
Fair but very damaging.
The fact that it happened at your gathering last night gave us a jump on the story.
I've never been a big fan of Carrington's politics, but this little bordello episode surprised me.
Yes, me too.
One doesn't want to get involved with dirty politics, but one does have an obligation to one's readers.
We're still trying to check the source of the video.
So far, nothing.
Well, I wouldn't waste too much manpower on it, Mr.
Frasier.
Excuse me.
Hello? Mrs.
Carrington? Why don't you have somebody show her up? Yes.
I think I'd better talk to the woman, so why don't you go out that way? I don't want to rub salt into the wound.
Thank you.
Hello, Krystle.
Shame about last night.
How is Blake holding up? Do you expect me to believe that you're concerned? Alexis, I've seen your editorial.
Oh, I'm sure you have.
Come and sit down.
You must understand, Krystle, that I can't allow my personal feelings about Blake to influence my newspaper.
Well, that's what you've done and more.
Are you accusing me of something? No, not yet.
But I want that video tape.
I don't have it.
Did you try downstairs at the desk? Yes, and it's conveniently missing.
Well, if I were you, Krystle, I wouldn't waste my time looking for that tape.
After all, everybody's seen it.
I'd concentrate on explaining to the voters just what Blake was doing in a bordello.
You know that tape's a fraud.
Is it? Well, if I were still married to Blake, I'd try and believe that too.
Well, you're not married to him.
I am.
And I'm not going to let this destroy his campaign.
You're not gonna get away with it, Alexis.
Excuse me? Oh, sorry.
Uh, where is she? She's out of the building now.
What isn't she gonna get away with? - When's she gonna get back? - Not for a while.
Come on, you can tell me.
Alexis and I are like this: Oh, that's right.
You are just like this aren't you? Maybe even close enough to help Alexis with that tape to set Blake up last night? I mean, what a lousy trick.
Wait a minute.
If you wanna hurl those accusations at Alexis, fine.
She can fend for herself.
I don't think she had anything to do with it.
And I know I didn't.
You just said you were like this: You're using that to accuse me of doing something against a man who has been nothing but good and kind to me.
I would never do anything to hurt Uncle Blake.
What's the matter, Jeff? Fallon fill your head with poison about me? - Fallon has nothing to do with this.
- Doesn't she? You accuse me of trying to hurt Uncle Blake.
She accused me of trying to destroy your marriage.
You're two of a kind.
You should try harder to get back together.
You deserve each other.
You said it yourself, "We were nothing but a one-night stand.
" And as far as I'm concerned, it's one night too many.
So if you'll excuse me, I'd like to get on with my own life.
Darling, I'm so sorry I'm late.
I had a really boring business meeting.
- I've already ordered.
- Oh, good.
Well, I'll have some of that white wine and a salade Nicoise.
Oh, I'm so glad you could make lunch.
I've hardly seen you since you got back.
Mother, did you have anything to do with that horrible video tape last night? Heh.
Fallon, you sound like Krystle.
No, I didn't.
Now, your father has made his own bed, and he can lie in it.
Look, I didn't come here to talk about his peccadilloes.
- I'm concerned about you and Jeff.
- What do you mean? Look, I observed you last night, Fallon.
It's obvious that something's wrong with the two of you.
Well, what is it? Is he spending too much time on Blake's campaign? No, it has nothing to do with that.
I might as well tell you.
I'm thinking of filing for divorce.
Divorcing Jeff? Why? Because I am tired of ignoring the truth.
We just don't belong together anymore.
Oh, darling, that's not true.
You've had a good marriage.
- Mother All right.
All right, so you've had some problems.
But all marriages have problems.
We don't communicate.
I'm tired of being treated like a little girl.
All my decisions made for me.
I just I'm just tired of it, that's all.
Darling, I understand what you're saying, but those reasons aren't enough to destroy your marriage.
I mean, Jeff is a wonderful man, and there are very few out there.
Believe me, Fallon, I know.
Darling, I really want you to be happy, and it's not easy sharing your life with a man.
But you have to try.
I have tried.
Very hard.
I'm sure you have.
And I'm sure that Jeff loves you just as much as you love him.
You don't understand.
It has nothing to do with love.
Yes, I'll love Jeff till I die, but I can't live with him anymore.
- Fallon - I'm sorry, Mother.
Suddenly, I'm not very hungry.
I don't wanna discuss this anymore.
What are you doing here? Apologising.
- Josh, I - Please? I'll put them in a vase.
Anybody ever tell you you look like a clown? Oh, yeah? Well, so did you last night.
Now she'll never forgive you.
I already have.
You hear that? She said she already forgives me.
I told you she would, you clown.
- Ow! - Ha, ha.
Easy, honcho.
You're only on the one-yard line.
She still hasn't said she'd marry you yet.
Come on.
She already forgave me.
I know she loves me.
She can't live without me.
- It's a foregone conclusion.
- Josh Is that true? Would you marry this hunk? - Would you? - Please stop.
Come on, lose this jerk - and let's you and me - I said, stop it! I can't marry you.
I don't love you.
Don't say that, Sammy Jo.
I know you don't mean that.
You're upset.
I understand that.
I broke Danny's toy.
I'm sorry.
I can fix this.
- Listen.
- I'll get him another one.
I'll get him a better one.
A life- sized one.
Just listen to me.
I care about you.
You've been very good to Danny and me.
And you love me.
We made love.
Once.
I don't wanna be sorry that we did.
So it's "take a hike"? Is that it? Josh, I'm not ready to marry anybody.
No, you'd rather stay here and live a sexless lie.
I think you better go.
It's about time.
- Got it? - Why don't you clean this place up? Yeah, yeah.
Come on, come on.
All right, all right, all right.
The way you're shoving that stuff up your nose, I'm worried about you.
Don't wanna lose one of my best clients.
You're worried about me? Heh.
That's beautiful.
I'm running the team and you're out.
I'm gonna marry Sammy Jo Reece and you're pushing dope.
I'd worry about yourself, pal.
I heard you made a fool of yourself in front of her - and Carrington last night.
- You heard wrong.
- Uh-huh.
- We just had a disagreement.
Nothing to worry about.
It's over now.
Yeah, it's over, all right.
Trouble is, you don't see it.
Take a look around, man.
It's fourth down and the blitz is coming.
- Maitland, stay away from Harris.
- Don't talk to me.
I don't want you turning him into a cokehead.
Turning him? Heh, heh.
You gotta be kidding me, man.
Your fair-haired boy has been doing a high-wire act for a long time.
What the hell are you talking about? You really don't know, do you? I will when you tell me.
This is a big responsibility and Daddy is expecting a lot of us.
We're on the same side now, Adam.
I'm hoping we can work together for the good of the company.
One for all and all for one? Are you willing to at least try? I suppose your sincerity should worry me, but maybe you mean it this time.
Truce.
Well, well.
Will wonders never cease? Secret pact? Harmony for the sake of corporate profits, Steven.
Good.
That's the kind of cooperation I'm looking for.
Let's get started.
We have a full agenda.
- All set, Dana? - Yes, I think so.
I just got off the phone with Vitron Oil in Natumbe.
And gave them a "yes," obviously.
From everything I read on that deal, we should do very well.
High-gravity crude at below market prices.
- I agree.
We should go ahead.
- Sorry, I disagree.
I just turned it down.
You what? How could you do that? We haven't even discussed it.
There was no time to discuss it.
They needed an answer, I said no.
- You had no authority.
Adam is right.
Listen, both of you.
I know what I'm doing.
And we don't? Let's not forget, I know this business too.
I'm Mother's right hand at Colbyco.
Well, this is Denver-Carrington.
Whenever a questionable deal like this came across Dad's desk, he didn't need to put it to a vote.
He acted decisively.
You are not Father.
Which of you wants to tell him we jumped at this because we didn't have time to convene a meeting? You say it's questionable.
I read that proposal.
So did I.
It sounded pretty good to me.
Well, not to me.
What was it you just said, Adam? "Acting in harmony for the sake of corporate profits.
" Well, isn't that what we all want? To show Dad that his trust has been well placed? You cannot cut us out of the decision-making process.
You're absolutely right.
If I have to wake you up in the middle of the night to discuss a deal with you, I will.
Do that.
In the meantime, what about Vitron? I told them we weren't interested.
It's done.
You say it's done.
I say you acted too soon.
Fallon.
Fallon.
Fallon, would you please come back in? - That was a little unpleasant, wasn't it? ADAM: Unpleasant? You'd better read your notes.
It was a hell of a lot more than that.
What if I told you I didn't want to read my notes or take any more? - Ever.
- What are you talking about? I tried to tell you before, I let you talk me out of it.
But I'm not very comfortable in this company anymore.
Dana.
You know why I talked you out of it.
You're the only person around here whom I can trust.
Please, don't take that away from me.
I can see why the Natumbe oil deal looked so attractive to you and Adam.
But having done some business in that part of the world, Fallon, I'm gonna have to take Steven's side on this.
Nothing is what it seems there.
Still, he could have checked with us.
He's gotten so headstrong lately, like he needs to prove something.
He's trying to show Blake that Denver-Carrington is in good hands.
Daddy turned the company over to the three of us.
We're already fighting each other.
What if we miss out on a great deal? You know, Adam and I thought it looked really good.
Almost too good.
Tell you what.
I'm scheduled to attend an energy conference on the Ivory Coast day after tomorrow.
I'll fly back through Natumbe and see what I can find out.
Thanks, Dex.
I hate to put you in the middle like this, but I wouldn't want us to make a mistake on our very first project.
You know, I'm kind of flattered that you came to me.
I mean, what are friends for if we can't help each other out? Yeah? Ahem.
Yeah? Yeah.
Uh, yeah, okay.
Tell him I'll be right there.
Your secretary said to come right in.
Sit down.
Heh.
See the papers? The oddsmakers have us underdogs next game.
Jerks.
The way we've been playing lately, I'm not surprised.
Couple of busted plays.
Those games could've gone either way.
But they didn't.
We lost them both.
And now I know why.
If this is gonna be another pep talk, you can save yourself the trouble.
I'll turn it around.
Maybe this isn't even about football.
Maybe this is about last night.
Last night is long gone.
But you're right.
It's not about football.
I've been seriously considering voluntary drug testing for the team.
I wanted your reaction.
Drug testing? Why? Because of Maitland? You're gonna condemn an entire team because of that loser? I'm not condemning anybody.
I just wanted your reaction.
Fine.
I think it's a dumb idea.
They'll never go for it.
They will if you set the example.
Me? Oh, no way, man.
You can't use me that way.
All right.
Let me put this another way.
Either you test, or I'm suspending you.
- Wait a minute.
You can't do that.
- Yes, I can.
And I will.
Bastard.
This is about Sammy Jo, isn't it? This is about you, Harris.
About you screwing up your life and my team.
You want it straight? You're a coke addict.
And unless you're willing to get help, you're gone.
Maitland came to you, didn't he? Then he told you a pack of lies.
All right.
Tell me the truth.
I'm listening.
You don't wanna hear the truth.
You wanna nail my hide to the wall.
I took Maitland's job and your ex-wife, and now it's "get Josh Harris.
" One more time.
Are you willing to get help? For the last time, I'm not playing your game.
You're right about that.
You're not playing any more games.
Not for my team.
- Not for any team.
- You're crazy.
I turned this team around for you.
You're damaged goods.
You're no good to yourself, to the team, to anybody.
- Wake up before you lose more.
- You know something? You and your ex-wife deserve each other.
To hell with you.
You wanna fire me? Forget it.
I quit.
Mm-hm.
Yeah.
That's fine.
Thank you.
Good night.
Blake, can I talk to you for a moment? Sure.
I thought you'd gone home.
Had interviews with out-of- state papers.
Let me guess.
About that video tape, right? Well, why talk about the real issues when you can exploit a good scandal? Mm-hm.
Comes with the territory.
Good news is just good, but evil news, why, that's sensational.
I, um I'd like you to read this.
You can't be serious.
I think it makes sense.
To have you resign in the middle of the campaign? I feel responsible for that tape.
You're no more responsible for that than I am.
Jeff, this campaign is beginning to take a toll on all of us.
Now, if you want some time off for personal reasons, I'd understand that.
I don't think that time off is the answer to my personal problems.
Um I know that you and Fallon are having a bad time.
But that happens in the best of marriages.
We don't have the best of marriages.
I don't know what we have anymore.
Anything I can do? I don't think there's anything anybody can do.
Tsk.
Well, whatever the problem is between you two, nothing would make me happier than to see you two work it out.
But I just want you to know, whatever the outcome is, it's not gonna make any difference in the way I feel about you.
Thanks, Blake.
As for this I'm not gonna lose a good campaign manager just because of some cheap, dirty trick, you know.
I'll say this for you, you've sure got guts coming to see me.
I'm trying to help my husband.
We help a lot of husbands in here.
But the kind of help your husband needs, I don't provide.
You know why my husband was here and what a lie that tape is.
Lies, truths.
In here, they all blend together.
I'm not asking you to betray any confidences.
But if one of your girls did make that tape I would know about it.
Somebody made that tape.
Not one of my girls.
Charlie wants to pay by cheque this time.
I've told him before, we don't accept cheques.
Cash and carry, or he can take his business elsewhere.
I appreciate what you're trying to do.
But in my business, we ask no questions, we offer no answers.
And my clients appreciate that.
Now, if you'll excuse me.
Somebody who works for you shot that tape, and I'm sure your clients will be interested to know that you secretly provide that kind of service.
Want some? Darling, I was worried about you.
About me? Or the payoff? Well, about you, of course.
If you mean did I pay off a trashy camera person, mission accomplished.
Good.
Then Krystle won't be able to trace anything, will she? Don't worry, you're protected.
- Your humble servant has seen to it.
- Heh.
You are not my servant, and you're anything but humble.
Something wrong? I don't like meeting hookers in dark alleys.
Darling, I know this has all been rather sordid, but if it's going to destroy Blake's campaign, it'll be worth it.
Forgive me.
It's been a long day.
Too long without you.
Hmm.
You always say the right things.
But do you mean them? Well, what's the phrase? "Actions speak louder than words.
" Just tell me if we're going to make the deadline.
Close doesn't make it, gentlemen.
Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.
Not at Colbyco.
"Horseshoes and hand grenades"? It's an old family saying.
Ha, ha.
It does make a point.
I didn't mean to barge in.
- I was just looking for Alexis.
- What do you need? Well, I was gonna leave this presentation with her.
It's a department analysis with a recommendation for a new management position.
Recommending yourself for the job? Yes, I am, as a matter of fact.
Because I honestly feel that I would put more into it than anyone else.
Such as? Well, for one thing, I have a strong background in engineering, and I worked in a similar position in Canada.
And for another thing Why am I going through this for you? Are you gonna recommend against it? Do you think that would have a bearing on Alexis' decision? Yes, I think it would.
I think she listens to you and she trusts you.
And it's trust well placed.
So when I recommend it to her, she will listen.
Do you mean it? I never say anything I don't mean.
Yes? Thank you.
Alexis is here.
I'll bring it up at lunch.
Thanks.
Let's hope you deserve it.
What's it been? Ten years? Heh.
It's a pleasant surprise, Dexter.
Well, I don't know if I'd use the word "pleasant" after our last encounter.
Oh, come on, Dex.
That was quite a while ago.
You will admit, I've improved my method of operation.
I'll give you that.
The last time I heard the name Harry Thresher mentioned, it was, well, connected to a revolutionary coup in Ah.
Yeah, well, since then, I've decided that capitalism and free enterprise far better suit my needs.
What brings you to my part of the world? Well, I was at an energy conference on the Ivory Coast.
Heard some good things about Vitron Oil.
I thought I'd stop by, see if I could get in on the good deal.
What deal is that? Word is, Vitron Oil is sitting on a fair amount of high-gravity crude, needs to be moved.
You heard that at the conference? I also heard the price is right if transport can be provided.
Any chance of me getting in on the action? I'd be willing to, uh, pay a private commission.
It's not like the old days, Dex.
I'm an oil minister of Natumbe now.
It's a private deal.
I'll make it worth your while, Harry.
Look around you, Dex.
Does it look to you like I need help from my friends? Well, I have to admit, you've come a long way.
If I recall correctly, you used to use those, instead of collect them.
As you said, I've come a long way.
So have you.
I'm sure you're anxious to get home.
Well, at least we've reconnected.
Who knows where that will lead? Who knows? Safe journey home.
May I use a phone to call the airport? Yes, sir.
Right over there.
Yes, sir? Uh, right away, sir.
Yes, we wish to place an overseas call, person-to-person, to Mr.
Sean Rowan in Denver, Colorado, U.
S.
A.
I've just had a visit from Dex Dexter.
Interesting.
Did my name come up? No, but he did ask about the deal.
Had a feeling they'd have it checked.
Did he think it was a good deal? Good enough to try to bribe his way in.
Good.
The machinery is in motion.
May I get you something? Coffee or tea? Never touch the stuff.
Thanks.
You, um You wanted to see us? Mrs.
Carrington, I got to thinking after you left.
I don't like people to take advantage of me.
The tape? Where did you get it? Trade secret, I'm afraid.
I don't know if it's going to be any help to you.
Somebody has removed the voices.
There's no sound on it.
Will you come forward and make a statement? You know why my husband came to see you.
Your wife is a very gutsy lady, Mr.
Carrington.
If you beat this, she deserves the credit.
But my credibility doesn't go beyond my establishment.
So you're on your own with that.
Cora.
Thanks.
Well, we got the tape.
They'd deal with us.
They're up to their necks in quarterbacks.
They know we're in a time bind.
They might ask for our entire front line.
- You fired Josh? Yesterday.
Get the rest of the coaches together.
Meet you on the field in half an hour.
- Yeah, sure.
- Thanks.
Why did I have to read about it? Why did it have to happen at all? There was nothing more between us.
It had nothing to do with you.
Why are you doing this, Steven? I did what was best for the team and for Josh.
You ruin a man's career because that's what's best for him? Don't push this, Sammy Jo.
You don't have all the facts.
And what are all the facts? Other than you wanna show me how much control you have over my life and everyone around me.
I'll ignore that.
I know you're angry.
- You're damned right I'm angry.
- You want the truth? - Josh Harris is a coke addict.
- That's a lie.
I gave him every chance to help himself, but he refused.
I don't believe you.
I should have told you yesterday, but I was hoping that he would change his mind and accept help.
But he's hooked.
I don't want him around Danny, and I don't want him around you.
Fighting this scandal is going to keep Blake so busy that his campaign is going to disappear around him.
- Feeling pretty good about yourself? - Oh, I'm feeling great about us.
You don't know how wonderful it is to be in love with a man who's working with me instead of against me.
I wanna be there for all the big moments in your life.
- Mm.
- The good and the bad.
Excuse me.
- No apologies necessary.
I know how interested you are in my campaign, Alexis.
So I thought I'd tell you that in less than half an hour, I'm holding a press conference.
By the time that's over, the so-called bordello scandal will be exposed for just what it was: A cheap trick.
So I suggest you watch the 7:00 news.
There's a tape you might like to see.
It's what the television people call a "rerun.
" Only this one is going to have a new and surprising ending.
And I would like to tell you how angry I am that we have to take the time and the effort away from the real issues in this election.
But apparently, these days, some of our local press is hell-bent on character assassination.
But not this time, ladies and gentlemen.
Not this time.
Now, I'd like my wife, who was instrumental in clearing this matter up, to explain some of the details to you.
We have recovered the video tape that supposedly shows my husband negotiating for the services of a prostitute in a Colorado bordello.
Since the sound track has been conveniently removed, we've asked Mr.
Jeffrey Ames, an expert lip-reader, to tell us exactly what's being said.
She just offered Mr.
Carrington a drink and he refused it.
"You said on the phone you wanted to talk about your brother.
" He says, "Yes.
" "You once told someone that on the night my mother died in that fire" She says, "Your brother was having an affair with a young woman who'd married into a prominent family.
I think I can identify that woman.
" Turn it off.
What are you laughing at? You went hunting for a bear with a cap pistol.
The bear just walked all over you.
I just don't understand how they got ahold of that tape.
- I thought that you - Don't blame me for this.
No, I told you, if you go after a man like Carrington, you do it once, but you have to win by a knockout.
You just lost the fight.
Oh, no, my dear Sean, that's where you're wrong.
I might have lost this round, but the fight is far from over.
I promise you that.
Has he been to the stadium at all today? Well, has anybody seen him? All right, thank you.
Dex, are you still in Natumbe? Yeah, I'm gonna hang around until tomorrow.
Ask a few more questions.
What have you learned? Oh, nothing that would make you feel very good.
Harry Thresher is a lowlife in a new suit.
He's somehow connected to Sean Rowan.
Mother's husband? How? - I mean, are you sure? Trust me.
Which you better do until I get back.
I wouldn't say anything to anyone either, Fallon.
Give me a chance to snoop around a little longer.
Uh, I won't I won't say anything.
Fallon, don't get depressed.
Vitron looks legit.
Even a Harry Thresher could've turned his life around.
Well, thanks.
I appreciate it.
Yes.
Bye.
- Who was that? - A friend.
Did you want something? Well, I thought, um, maybe you'd like to go out for dinner.
Thanks, but I'm not very hungry.
Actually, I was hoping we could talk.
- About what? - You know damn well about what.
Us.
I have nothing left to say, Jeff.
Well, I do.
Things are getting worse between us.
I know.
What do we do about it? You're the one with all the answers.
You tell me.
Oh, now, what is that supposed to mean? Is all of this my fault? It's nobody's fault.
I don't whose fault it is.
Fallon, you and I have been through a lot, and we've survived because we love each other.
Maybe I wanna do more than just survive.
Maybe I wanna live a little bit.
Fallon, do you still love me? I guess I should have seen it coming.
- Jeff - No, no, I'll say it.
I think one of us should see an attorney.
Josh? Josh? Josh? It's Sammy Jo.
Oh, my God.
Josh? Josh! Josh? Josh? I need an ambulance at, um, A man's unconscious.
I think it's a drug overdose.
I don't know.
Please hurry.
I'm sorry, Josh.
Here's an update on that Denver Monarchs story.
There's a report out that first-string quarterback, Josh Harris, put on waivers yesterday by the team's owner, has refused to take a drug test.
It was rumoured that owner Steven Carrington had proof the quarterback was using cocaine.
So far, no one's been able to reach Harris for comment.
He's been under pressure to win ever since he took over the team early in the season.
The question is, was it too much pressure? Now the local weather.
A little temperature change expected
