Whoo! After 10 seasons, it's just as exciting as the first season.
You never know what's gonna be there behind you.
Oh, here we go.
I get so nervous just thinking about the anxiety that these people are going through.
I mean, you know, I know what it's like as a performer.
This is gonna be a good one.
But a belt, a growl, a rasp Anything could be that motivation for us to press our buttons.
I put a spell on you, you, you I think you get really pumped when you hear somebody who's phenomenal.
-Yeah! -Yeah! -Whoo! -Whoo! I think you could win this whole thing.
Don't allow yourself to be marooned.
Hey, you're in the neutral zone.
Out of bounds.
When I'm here, you don't run the show, Blake.
Just -It's 10 times the surprises -Whoa! Greatest moment of the show's history! - 10 times the emotion Inside of you, there's so much to say, and people need to hear that hope.

What I love about "the voice" is being able to give back.
-Ah! -Yeah! It's the best job ever.
-Whoo! It all kicks off right now with the blind auditions.
Give it up for your season 10 coaches.
First up, Adam levine Pharrell Williams Blake Shelton Boo! And please welcome back to "the voice" stage the incredible Christina aguilera! Welcome back, Christina! Whoo! Christina! Christina! Christina! Blake, hey, you got a little something right here.
You got some schmutz right there.
What is that? Oh, it's a tattoo that'll never come off.
Is there any other member of maroon 5 we can have? Does it have to be Adam? It just keeps getting better and better every time I come back.
While our coaches get settled, let's meet the first artist of the season who can't wait to heat up "the voice" stage.
My name is Paxton ingram.
I'm 23, and I'm from Miami, Florida.
Miami has so much art and music, and it's so alive.
I've always loved music ever since I was a kid.
I was obsessed with Michael Jackson.
I definitely want to bring that flavor back The entertainment aspect of music.
I realize maybe I can use dance to become a better performer.
At 17, my dance career kind of just took off.
I was doing music videos, tours, under some amazing artists, including Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez.
But seeing the artists singing and all the love they were receiving back, I wanted that so bad and I realized that was the actual dream.
For the past three years, I've been writing and singing and recording.
And it's definitely a struggle.
I'm still living at home with my parents.
And to make ends meet, I teach a hip-hop class.
And, one I just love teaching and watching them break free out of their shell.
Ta-ta.
But "the voice" could be the start of my journey as an artist.
This is amazing.
I've very proud of Paxton.
He didn't quit.
He knew that he had this gift and he had to share it with the world.
I'm just so grateful that I'm here.
This is the biggest opportunity I've ever had.
And to hear these words, it's confirmation that I'm on the right path.
For my blind audition, I'll be singing "dancing on my own" by robyn.
I think it's a cool take when a guy sings a female-led song.
So I hope the coaches hear the vulnerability and the honesty that I'm bringing.
I've spent so many years chasing my dream, and "the voice" is the best platform a singer can be on today.
I would love to work with pharrell.
He's a musical legend, and I feel like I could learn so much from him.
somebody said you got a new friend whoa.
That's good.
It is good.
Does she love you better than I can? There's a big black sky over my town wow.
Don't! And I know where you're at, I bet she's around but I just gotta see this for myself and I'm in the corner, watching you kiss her no! Ah! I hate you.
I'm so mad at you.
-I missed out.
-I'm so mad at him.
And I don't get mad at him, but here's why I'm mad.
Gosh! 'Cause Blake Blake turns around, I'm like this, right? I'm like, "ooh, this dude's so good.
" And I needed them to think that I didn't want to turn so that I can get as many people out of this as possible.
Gosh.
And he did the same thing! And that is not positive for my campaign.
What is your name? My name is Paxton ingram.
Who's your biggest musical influence? -Has to be Michael Jackson.
-Yes.
Oh, well I mean, pfft! I definitely missed out.
But you made it on the show, you have a coach.
-Whoo! -Yes.
Man.
I don't know that I've ever recognized true greatness so quickly.
Look, I know I'm just a country singer sitting here in Aw, shucks.
-In my jeans and boots.
And I think the key to being a great coach, it's me figuring out a way to be as supportive as I can be.
And the only people that I want to do that with are people that I'm a fan of.
Thank you so much, Blake.
Thank you.
Please, pick me.
Not only did you have a great voice, I felt we all should be pressing our buttons.
I honestly didn't know what to expect.
Who, what I just knew how you were singing was crazy.
And I'm kind of, like, at a loss for words.
Perfect.
Perfect.
I'm not at a loss of words.
I think that you, vocally, are absolutely brilliant.
It was the little breathy little things where I'm like, "wow.
This dude is literally reaching inside of me and, like, pulling these emotions out of me.
" I am so moved by what you did up here today.
And I think that I could be a great coach for you.
Thank you so much.
That means a lot coming from you guys.
So, Paxton, who do you pick as your coach? Uh-oh.
Can I beg now? Can I start to beg? Come on! Come on.
--No! Come on, Paxton! I'm gonna go with Blake.
Yes! -What? -Wow.
-Thank you so much.
You're gonna go far in this thing, man.
-Yes, sir.
-I promise you.
This is gonna be a lot of fun.
There is nobody that was more surprised that Paxton chose me than me.
How'd you do that? I'm always looking for an artist unlike anybody that I've ever heard before.
Just because I'm a country artist doesn't mean I can't mentor a young pop artist.
That guy's gonna be somebody to watch for the rest of the season.
Ah, this is crazy! You shocked us all by picking Blake.
-Why? -Why? Because he was the first to turn around.
And then he said, "I recognize greatness.
" So I was like, "I got to go with that.
" Honestly, I thought it was a girl.
This show is full of surprises.
Get out of here.
Get out.
Go away.
Didn't think I would get him, did you? Then I did.
Oh, look at that.
You like that right there? You like that moonwalk? You like that? You like that? Yeah, you're right.
That is so bad.
I love this group.
It's like high school, you know? You get back to the cafeteria and you see all these guys.
It's pretty awesome.
I'm gonna go meet my new team member's family.
Hey, hillbilly Shrek, leave me alone.
Hey, Adam, I'll tell him you said "hi" when I'm meeting his family.
What in the world? I can't wait.
-I can't wait, either.
-Look how cute he is.
-Ah! -O.
M.
G.
! Still to come The biggest season of "the voice" Ls just getting started Yeah! Get over here and sit down.
And our coaches are more eager than ever to win the artist they want.
I believed in it from go.
I would love to be in business with you.
Your voice already has all the herbs and spices.
He just compared your voice to fried chicken.
Welcome back to night one of the blind auditions.
Adam, come do the signature Blake impression.
You don't understand what I'm saying when I say it? That was a good one.
While our coaches get ready, let's meet this next artist 21-year-old caity Peters, who's looking to fit in.
I live at home with my mom and dad, three siblings, and my little dog, spanky.
-Cheers! My dad is a lawyer, my brother's a lawyer, my sister's a nurse, my little sister is leaning towards the medical field, and then there's, like, me The black sheep of the family.
My parents have always wanted me on the path of college and career, but I always gravitated towards anything that was associated with music.
We always knew she liked to sing.
We were a little hesitant, but then came full-circle.
It brought something out in her that is indescribable.
And it was undeniable.
-Yeah! By the end of high school, I convinced my parents to let me go to the young Americans performing arts college.
It's a nonprofit outreach organization that inspires kids through music.
I was able to travel all over the world, performing and working with thousands and thousands of kids.
It made me realize that I really love to teach.
So I'm currently attending college, working on getting my teaching credential.
I am also the worship leader at a church.
But I'm kind of ready for that next step, that bigger opportunity to be heard.
So I feel like "the voice" would give me that stage.
It would be my deciding factor of pursuing a different path from everybody else in my family.
Like, it would just make every step that I took worth it.
Go out there with everything you've got, and just have the best performance ever, okay? I'm, like, so amazed that I even got this opportunity.
I never thought it would happen to me.
These are four huge names in the industry.
They have so much experience.
They have so many connections.
It's almost, like, overwhelming.
I just want something great to happen, since this is my one chance to prove music could be a career.
Come on.
There she is.
In 90 seconds, I just have to show them my heart.
It's gonna be good, Christina.
I can feel it.
it's closer than my hands have been the best of all this world could give and I told you when you left me but I always thought you'd come back come on, Blake.
and tell me that all you found whoo! oh, my God.
Four of four.
That's a four-chair turn.
-What is your name? -Whoa.
Stay away.
What are you God.
Giving her a hug.
Thank you.
Whoo! I'm the first one you see up here.
Stop sucking up to her family.
Get o sit down.
Christina picked first! What's your name? I'm caity Peters from long beach, California.
-Yes! -Yes! Yes! Yes.
-West Side! -Yes! I hope that doesn't gain Adam any points because it's not a geography contest.
What type of music are you interested in doing? I love soulful music, R&B --Yeah! -Yes! -Yes! Whoo! Yes.
-I love soulful music, too.
-I do, too.
Uh, me too.
That was beautiful.
I would love to hold your hand to the finish line as another female supporter who also appreciates and loves soul music.
It's really the truth, and that's why you love soul music, because it is the truth.
I think that passion has led us here together.
So pick me as your coach! Thank you.
Oh, my God.
I just feel like that intensity that you have and that thing that brought you to tears and made us all turn around, that is what I want to stand behind.
Because this is the kind of intensity that the show is about.
I would love the opportunity to be in business with you.
Thank you so much.
What you did was really different and special Heart-wrenchingly beautiful.
-Thank you.
And I think that your voice is 1% away from being completely, infallibly unique.
I can help you find the last few percent.
You're on the cusp of greatness, and and that's why I pushed my button.
Thank you so much.
Wow.
First of all, I don't think you're on the cusp of something great.
I think you're in the middle of something great.
Otherwise, all four of us wouldn't have turned around.
Everybody has a different thing they need help with.
That's true.
The key to winning this show isn't about going with somebody who does the same exact music that you do.
It's about you being the best whatever it is you want to be.
That's my job as a coach.
-Yep.
Thank you.
That's what I want to do for you, caity, 'cause I think you can win this thing.
Thank you.
So, caity, who do you pick as your coach? Oh, my gosh.
ah! I pick pharrell.
Pharrell is so creative with the way he works and the way he writes and produces.
Thank you so much, pharrell.
-You're awesome.
What he said got to me.
I got four chairs.
Oh, my God.
It was just, like, the most amazing moment of my life.
Yeah! -She's so good.
-She's dope, bro.
-Yeah.
-That was, like, killer.
-Really, really good.
-That's the secret weapon.
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God! -Congratulations.
-That was amazing.
-Oh, my gosh, thank you.
Four-chair turn.
There's your coach, pharrell.
The decisions that you made, they were just so good.
Every last person in the room felt the same way.
Oh, my gosh.
Thank you so much.
Thank you.
You love me.
Say it.
I do love you.
I love you, too.
I just realized I'm the only girl you ever sit next to.
-That's right.
-It's Usher, pharrell.
I'm the only one.
I'm the only one that can handle you.
Still to come, Adam goes all in to land an artist Look for the girl with the broken smile -whoo! -Get over here and sit down.
But our other coaches aren't backing down.
Look, you performed with Adam.
You got that over with.
Do you really want to be singing "honey bee" with this big, tall man? Put yourself in our coaches' chairs.
Get the official voice app and play Nissan's "build your own 'voice' team" now.
Welcome back.
Let's see if this next artist has the right moves to land on a team.
I'm Nick hagelin.
I'm 28, and I live in Atlanta, Georgia.
Being that both of my parents were performing artists, I was enco to try ballet, and it ended up sticking.
So when I was 18, I got a contract with Carolina ballet and I was a professional ballet dancer.
I love ballet, but I was always more excited about music.
For me, I could do my dancing, and then I was free to write music or go play shows.
It all was a wonderful formative time.
It's also how I met wife, Christina.
And it was her who encouraged me to hang up the tights and really pursue music full time.
Within a few months, I was playing consistent weekly gigs in Atlanta.
So things were starting to look real good.
And at that time, my son is born.
And the nurse says, "we're gonna have to say this is abnormal.
" He was born with something called arthrogryposis, which is just stiff joints, weak muscles.
And a few different doctors telling us he'll never walk, he'll never feed himself.
And then we found a surgeon who said, "you know what? He's gonna do what he wants to do.
He'll just do it in his own way.
" I'm almost there.
So, my new primary focus in life became his recovery.
Sweet beats, dad.
Thank you.
At 2 1/2 years old, I taught my son how to walk without a walking device.
I mean, it's like, that's That'll always be my greatest accomplishment, like, no matter what else happens in my career.
He's a miracle.
Around the same time, I ended up meeting the right people to get me a record deal at a major label.
But they were telling me, "you can't be married.
You can't have a family.
It's never gonna sell.
" Then I realized I can't not tell my story.
And so I decided to part ways with the label.
I'm so proud of you.
-Aww! -Thank you.
"The voice" is the only show that provides the platform for me to be who I am.
Yay! I just think Nick has a voice of an angel, and I've always thought that.
I am just so proud of you.
For my blind audition, I'll be singing "lost stars" by Adam levine.
It's a big risk, but there's also a potential upside because he's going to hear what's unique about my voice because he knows the song so well.
My son has been through more than most people would ever think of -There he is.
-Hi, daddy! -Look, there he is! -Shh, shh, shh.
And he's shown me that anything's possible.
So now I want to show him what daddy can do and what I can do for my family.
just a boy caught up in dreams and fantasies let's see where we wake up tomorrow best-laid plans sometimes are just a one-night stand cupid's demanding back his arrow he made it! He made it! He made it! So let's get drunk on our tears I thought I saw you out there crying I thought I heard you call my name I thought I saw you out there crying what? Yeah! Three! Three! Now I have competition at the last millisecond? You guys are killing me.
-Wow.
What's your name, man? My name's Nick hagelin.
I'm 28 years old, and I live in Atlanta, Georgia.
Right on, Nick.
While I'm sitting there really flattered that someone's doing that song, these guys pulled, like, a sneak move on Christina.
-Messed up.
-You did a great job.
-Thank you.
-Awesome.
How you doing, Nick? Best day of my life.
This is a miracle.
I've been pursuing music for a long time.
I got my family here somewhere.
Family! -And -I wonder where they are? Why don't you bring them out here now? Come on.
Are you telling me those three made all that racket back there when you said that? Just them.
This is bash.
-Hi, love! -Hi! Hi, hey! For me, it's just such an honor to have them here.
When my son was born, they said he might not walk.
-Oh, he's walking.
-And he's walking.
-He's killing it, man.
-Whoo, he's killing it! Yeah! -Yay.
Yeah! -Yeah! Your voice I believed in it from go.
It was beautiful.
It was soft.
It almost reminded me of, like, early Michael.
Wow.
Thank you.
I would love to be your coach, and, man, let's take it all the way.
-Thank you, Christina.
-I-I got to tell you.
I heard prince in you voice Like, that real high falsetto.
And pharrell could tell you this Your voice would record -Very well.
-So incredibly because it already has all the compression and herbs and spices and things that you put on it when you make a record.
I'm such a fan, man.
Thank you.
Herbs and spices.
He just compared your voice to Kentucky fried chicken.
He's an idiot.
Don't choose him.
Nick, who do you pick as your coach? I I have to say, you said "Michael," you turned around first, and I love you for that.
As an artist, a relationship with the Quincy Jones of our generation is gonna be the strongest thing for me.
No! I pick pharrell.
No! Nick there's something special there.
He has a really broad range, and he's got a lot of control.
So, it'll be very interesting to see where he takes himself.
Day one, and I'm off to a really good start.
I have some really strong people on my team.
Blake, he didn't even say one word, and he still got him.
Is that how it's gonna be this season? I have no one on my team yet, and I really thought Nick was gonna pick me.
I really thought I had it.
He did, like, the pharrell voodoo on him.
I didn't press for Nick 'cause it's like I'm stuck in my own version.
It's my fault.
-Hey, that guy could win.
Yeah, the boy's amazing.
Coming up, a star-struck artist Blake Shelton is, like, looking at me.
-It is creepy.
-Trades places with Adam.
Maddie, maddie.
Ohio's watching.
-Iowa.
-Iowa! And then Whoo! Outstanding performances Our baby-making bodies we just use for fun that get all four of our coaches' chairs to turn.
I'm astonished by you.
We've been waiting for someone like you to c this is "the voice" oday.
Welcome back to the blind auditions at universal studios Hollywood.
Let's meet the next artist.
I'm maddie poppe, I'm 17, and I'm from a small town called clarksville, Iowa.
I like to joke around most of the time.
Sorry, this reminds me of the time when they're, like, on the Mike and they'll be like I'm a senior in high school.
My class is made up of 22 people.
I'm not class president.
I didn't get it, but I am student body president.
And I'm also a football cheerleader.
So proud of you.
Maddie has always been super creative, and we have always believed that she could make it big.
A landslide brought me down well, in sixth grade, my sister talked me into singing a duet with her at school.
The response I got really inspired me to pursue music.
She sings and plays her guitar all the time.
Gets annoying sometimes.
I should be over all the butterflies I like to make little music videos.
I just have a really fun time editing and recording.
I also started playing town festivals, county fairs.
But being from Iowa, there's not a lot of ways to make music happen.
I am a big fan of The Voice.
I have been watching for a really long time.
And I think I'd want to work with Adam the most because I like his style.
This opportunity is everything, and this 90 seconds is my chance to show what I can do.
happiness hit her like a train on a track the horses are coming, so you better run run fast for your mother, run fast for your father run for your children, for your sisters and brothers come on, let's go! Leave all your love and your longing behind you can't carry it with you if you want to survive oh, darn it.
This is so weird right now.
What is your name? Maddie poppe, and I'm 17, from clarksville, Iowa.
What was freaking you out? This feels like a dream.
I watch this on tv.
This isn't happening.
It doesn't even feel real.
-It actually is happening.
-It is real.
And my aunt has the biggest crush on you.
Stop.
Oh, my gosh.
Blake, shut up.
You have a very strong voice.
It was super fun to listen to you sing.
I'm sorry.
I just can't take this in right now.
Blake Shelton is, like, looking at me.
It is creepy.
She's right about that.
Hey, maddie, maddie.
I have an idea.
Just sit here.
Sit right there.
-Oh, my gosh.
-Go sit there.
Take a picture of this.
Auntie's gonna be loving this.
-All right, so, maddie.
-Yes? You would benefit from practicing your scales, because you have such a beautiful voice.
And one of the things that you don't have a problem with is Maddie, maddie.
Maddie! -Sorry.
-Maddie.
Ohio's watching.
Iowa, Iowa.
Iowa! Clarksville, Iowa.
Blake Shelton just said "clarksville, Iowa.
" The thing that you didn't have a problem with was the dynamics.
Like, we felt like you went from zero to 100.
And there's places that you can use that.
But maddie, maddie.
We want you to learn how to use that with finesse so that when you come back when you're 18 years old So excited.
Do you want to come back, maddie? Yes! Can I? Come back to the show, maddie.
-We want you to come back.
-Yeah.
Give me a hug.
Maddie just doesn't have the control.
She's young.
This season, I'm looking to be moved and I'm looking to hear something that I've never heard, you know? And that's a tough thing to find.
It makes it hard.
-Goodbye, maddie.
This is so weird.
-What? Hey, maddie, that was the right instinct, to It's like a bear.
-Bye, maddie.
-Thank you.
I wish I hadn't picked such a strong song because under so much stress and trying to hit those high notes was super hard.
Still to come Showstopping performances When I'm messed up, that's the real me fire up pharrell.
Sit down.
Don't allow yourself to be marooned.
-This one's mine.
Whoo! No.
I'm a huge pharrell fan, too.
.
Welcome back to the blind auditions.
My name is Mary Sarah.
I am 20 years old, and I'm from Richmond, Texas.
I live in Nashville, and I work at boot barn part time.
Do you like the shorter boot, or do you like the taller? I like shorter boots.
I love working at boot barn, but I always have imagined being on the stage.
-Thank you.
-All right, there you go.
I started singing at the age of nine.
And then at the age of 13, I was introduced to the opries by my dad.
The crowds aren't the youngest.
I'm a very big fan of patsy cline and Loretta Lynn, and so I started learning that music.
While I was doing the opries, the oak Ridge boys tweeted me out of nowhere.
These legend of country music said, "we'd love for you to come down to galveston and sing on this show tonight.
" Singing with the oak Ridge boys definitely opened a whole lot of doors, and one of them was a country classics duets album.
My manager at the time introduced me to Dolly parton's producer.
Once we had Dolly, it was just like one artists after the other, and I actually got to sing with Willie Nelson and merle haggard.
And we pushed it on grassroots radio.
It got a little attention, but it wasn't like my golden ticket.
Not a lot of people understand that, in country music, it's really hard for a girl.
When I think about The Voice, I think, "how could you not want to get the wisdom from these coaches?" These artists can take me to that next level.
All right, here we go.
There she is.
Come on, come on.
Come on.
Come on.
wow.
Really good voice.
He's walking down some street in town and I know he's looking there for me no! In a crowd of a million people -whoo! -All you needed right there.
-Just one, baby, just one.
-All you needed.
And then I'll climb to the highest steeple she's real ugly.
-Oh, boy! -Oh, boy! Come here.
What's your name? Um, my name is Mary Sarah.
I love that you did a song and did it in such a way that was so pure and so markedly different in feel.
Such a consistent, powerful upper register.
It really brought me back to a different time and a different place.
Thank you very much for that.
-Thank you.
Your vocals were pretty undeniable as soon as you hit your first note.
And then the boys start pushing, and I'm like, "okay, man.
That's some stiff competition right there.
" And then you hit, like, a belted note in the stratosphere, and I was like, "okay, it's just I look stupid now if I'm not gonna push my button.
" You were consistent the whole way through.
I'd love to be your coach.
-Thank you so much.
Very early on when you first started singing, I was like, "okay, there's a different voice.
" As you continued to sing, it was like, "okay, wow.
That's a classic voice.
" What made you choose that song? That song has been such a big door-opener in my life.
I got to sing it with the oak Ridge boys four years ago.
I love the song, and I thought it would be Be a good one to pick, so Congratulations for sticking to the things that move you, because it landed you in a position to have a four-chair turn.
Thank you.
Thank you so much.
Are you from Houston? -I am.
-Oy yoi yoi.
Here we go.
Don't believe anything that he's saying to you.
I'm so glad that you mentioned your connection with the oaks, because I think that's why -Here we go.
There it is.
-Yep.
-I know about you.
-You've heard of her? Absolutely.
I I'm telling you that why I said, "you're from Houston, aren't you?" -Oh, wow.
-I-I know about the girl.
You actually sound like you came from that era.
And it's gonna be so refreshing to hear somebody bring that era of music back to a stage like this and then to the grand ole opry in Nashville.
Let's do that.
That would be amazing.
-Let's.
Let's do it.
-We'll get the oaks.
Let's get the oaks to come sing with you.
They don't know the oaks.
They don't even know what I'm talking about.
They think I'm talking about a tree right now.
All right, who do you pick as your coach? Thank you guys so much.
Um, I love all of your music, and I appreciate all the comments, but I really have to go with my gut on this one.
And that is? Come on.
I pick Blake Shelton.
Mary! Mary! -Thanks so much.
-Oh, my God.
You know, Mary has this extremely vintage-sounding voice.
It's just so rare.
Never heard anything like it.
Great voice.
And now here she is auditioning for The Voice, getting four chairs to turn around.
Picking the right coach me.
I'm so overwhelmed.
All four chair oh, my gosh.
I can't hold it in.
Congratulations.
I can't hold it in.
-I'm so proud of you.
-Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
That was like Shaq slam-dunking.
By the way, you should be impressed with yourself in no way.
Daly:, without any artists on their teams -Yes, Adam! -Out of bounds! Adam and Christina pull out all the stops.
She's like the best singer ever.
What are you doing? Shut up.
Whoo! And later, a former child star with an impressive résumé The role I'm probably most known for is curly sue.
Finds common ground with one of our coaches.
Wait.
You were on "star search"? -Yes.
-What? -We go way back.
Welcome back to night one of the blind auditions.
-Thank you so much.
-You're awesome.
So far, pharrell and Blake have each landed two artists -I'm gonna go with Blake.
-Yes! While Adam and Christina have yet to convince any singers to join their teams.
So, how's your team shaping up? My team's shaping up great.
I got a bunch of great sangers.
"Sangers.
" Don't you think it's time you start trying to get some people on your team And stop standing here talking? That's all I hear, man.
I'm on my way to meet Mike schiavo.
Mike just recently moved to Los Angeles and is balancing his day job with his dream of being a musician.
so, Mike, we're here at your work.
What do you do here? -I'm an assistant manager.
I just moved to L.
A.
From new Jersey around six months ago.
So you came out to L.
A.
to make it in music? Yes, absolutely.
Growing up, music definitely took over my life really quickly.
The first cd I ever got was "songs about Jane" by maroon 5.
And it was kind of eye-opening to me, and it definitely put me on a new track with music.
After high school is when I really sat my parents down and told them music is what I really need to do and I don't think I'm gonna be going to college.
And they were definitely upset about it, but it was really cool to see them come around and see how hard I was working.
Everyone I've met in L.
A.
Is a singer, an actor, a filmmaker.
And you can't really help sometimes but to compare yourself to them.
Anytime I'm not working, I'm just trying my best to practice every single day.
I'm so proud that he's following his dream, because I don't want him to have any regrets.
That's all that matters to me That he's happy.
An amazing kid.
He deserves everything he gets.
I'm definitely feeling a little anxious.
The coaches have such incredible talent.
If I can work with one coach, I would have to say it's pharrell.
Everything he does is just genius.
And Adam to be able to wo a huge part in sculpting who I am as an artist, not everybody gets a chance to do that.
I did something to "talking body" by tove lo that is different, and I'm really hoping to present them with something they haven't heard.
-Eeh! -Awesome.
He does.
the feeling of your skin locked in my head -oh! -Yeah! Our baby-making bodies we just use for fun whoo! This one's mine.
Hey, man, what's your name? I'm Mike schiavo.
I'm 21 years old.
I'm from colonia, new Jersey.
I just moved out to Los Angeles.
You just had a really crispy, clear, like, tone and we've been waiting for someone like you to come across this stage today.
-A long time.
Thank you so much.
Oh.
What's your story? I played little gigs in new Jersey for a long time.
I grew up listening to Elvis, maroon 5.
Uh-oh.
Uh-oh.
-Oh, boy.
Mike, what is your favorite maroon 5 song? I'd probably throw it back to "she will be loved.
" Adam, you should sing that with him and seal the deal.
Yeah, you should, Adam.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
All right, all right, all right.
No, yeah.
I will do that, but we have to do the acoustic version.
Oh, man, I can try.
Oh, my God.
Can you believe it? Yes, Adam! It's very romantic to do this with you.
Uh, I really like that.
If you give me the chords, I can do it.
There you go.
Then to a.
D minor, a.
Yeah.
Whoo! She had some trouble with herself he was always there to help her she always belonged to someone else no, you go.
You go.
I'll do this part.
I don't mind "D" every "A" d minor.
Out on your corn "A" In the pouring rain look for the girl with the broken smile ask her if she wants to stay awhile that's pretty good.
Yeah! Oh, my God, right? Thank you so much.
That has to be, like, a dream come true right now.
-That was pretty crazy.
-I'm not joking.
Like, I was like, "man.
" I was nervous.
I was like, "I better not screw this up.
" I'm not like Christina.
I can't just be like I got to warm up.
I got to go I got to tell you, man, the effortlessness with which you kind of got that all done, you're a natural.
Thank you so much.
That means a lot.
In the event that something crazy were to happen right now and you were to completely get amnesia from the last two, three minutes No amnesia.
He remembers everything.
What is it that you want to do moving forward? I just want to work with somebody who's gonna help build me and, uh, teach me something new.
That's me all day.
Whoo! No.
So, you don't even need to say that because, as he's answering the question, he's looking at you every other word.
He's like, "I-I just want to, uh, um, just work with somebody that, um, completely understands where I'm coming from.
" I'm a huge pharrell fan, too.
I promise.
-So am I.
If, for whatever reason, you decided to just do something completely different and completely off the grid Change is bad.
And something that just doesn't make sense Hi, my name is Blake.
Hi, Blake.
I was the other coach that pushemy button for you.
And you didn't grow up listening to my music.
But I grew up listening to maroon 5.
-Yeah.
-Uh If you mean what you say when you want to grow by doing something different and stuff that you've never done before, pick a coach that is completely different.
Look, you can die now saying that you performed with Adam.
You got that over with.
It happened.
You grew up listening to him.
You already performed with him.
Listen, you really want to be singing "honey bee" with this big, tall man? What Blake was saying, he said "different.
" And we all know that, you know What is this? What is this gonna be? -Sit down.
-What is this gonna be? -Different.
-Oh, boy.
-No, sit down! Don't allow yourself to be marooned.
I am not There's so many other colors out there.
There's green.
Why can't you say burgundy? Why does it have to be maroon? You know, there's other numbers out there four-rell.
Okay, so, it's time.
Who do you pick as your coach? Take a chance! Take a chance, Mike! We can win.
I pick Adam.
-Yeah! That was the right choice.
I promise.
Mike's awesome.
He's got a lot of potential, and I'll kind of know how to guide him.
We're gonna go very far.
Getting up there, too, you really realize somebody's chops.
He's such a great musician, such a quick learner.
Watch out for Mike.
You got a great coach, by the way.
Mike grew up listening to Adam.
He was probably in his freaking fan club.
Got to the point where it's like, "just pick Adam.
And let's move on.
" I did not think that was gonna happen.
I sang with Adam levine.
I grew up listening to that song.
I almost cried.
Not gonna lie.
Have you ever sang like that with somebody? -No.
-Not even once ever? -No.
-I got you to do it? -You did.
-Whoo-hoo-hoo-hoo! Yeah! Still to come As the talent heats up But when I'm messed up, that's the real me, babe so does the competition among our coaches.
No! That's country right there, man.
--No! No! -That is country! And later One artist has our coaches cracking up.
Greatest moment welcome back to the blind auditions.
Mike's my man.
That's a little bit egotistical that you did that with your own song.
No, his dream, like, totally came true, though.
What what is it gonna take to get you up there to sing? Cash.
While Adam celebrates scoring his first artist, let's meet the next singer.
My name is queen sessi.
I'm 24 years old, and I'm from the Bronx, New York.
I have a very strong Latin cultural family.
My dad's from Puerto Rico, and my mother is Cuban.
We are very loud and outgoing.
And my dad was the one that literally put the microphone in my hand.
I produced dance music in the '80s.
I was also a songwriter, so I think I kind of helped her.
She wouldn't record my songs, but --That's another thing.
In 2011, I met these amazing two guys.
One was a producer, another one was a rapper.
They did dance music.
They loved being funky and crazy.
And it was a match made in heaven.
One day, we decided to pack all our stuff, and now L.
A.
's my home I love it.
We were actually sleeping in our car for a couple days.
We didn't have a job, so I was just like, "I'm gonna use this car for uber.
I'll be your taxi driver.
" It really helped me survive and build my social media and my fans.
Making it in L.
A.
is not easy, but when you have a goal and you stick to it, you can do it.
Since I touched down in this city, it's been tough.
So if a chair turns, it will definitely change my life.
"The voice" represents positivity and it influences artists to be greater.
Today is my chance to show people who I am.
Go get 'em, baby! what I need is somebody who really cares a lover that wants to be there come on! Come! Onturn around! Oh, bless her heart.
It's okay.
I still love you guys.
Oh, you're awesome.
What is your name? Queen sessi.
-Queen sessi? -Yes.
Girlfriend, that's my name.
Oh, hey.
That opening note, by the way, was crazy.
Yeah.
It was just fun and it was on a 10, like, the whole time.
And I just kind of wanted to hear different textures within it.
I'm sorry it didn't work out for you today.
You have a great voice, and I'm kind of bummed right now.
-Thank you.
-Are you a dancer? I got some moves, you know? Definitely an entertainer.
I'd love to see what Blake looks like in that exact outfit.
-I kind of do, too, actually.
-It's a dream of mine.
-You'd look great.
-That's not true.
Yeah, that's not true.
I think, you know, you have so much energy, it's infectious.
But I would just look for you to come back and find something that you can have a little bit more finesse vocally with, because you're a good singer.
Thank you.
We can totally hear your potential.
It'd just be great to hear more of your voice the next time around.
Thank you, guys.
The queen! I have no one on my team yet, but I'm looking for something that just truly amazes me.
Queen sessi She's so much fun.
So much energy.
-Bye! And it's just She needs to dial it back a little bit for a blind audition.
-You were fabulous.
-Oh.
-We love you.
-Yeah, you were great.
You were great.
Don't worry.
-You did an amazing job.
Well, I'm gonna continue to work on my music and continue to reach for the stars, because that's where I want to be.
-Coming up -That's a foul.
When I'm here, you don't run the show, Blake.
Christina is on a mission to land her first artist of season 10.
Your story and those pipes of yours Welcome back to the blind auditions.
Let's meet the next artist who's looking for a second chance.
I'm Bryan bautista from Brooklyn, New York, and I'm 23 years old.
You may remember me from season 9.
Please welcome Bryan bautista.
Before my audition, I was an Usher at the barclay center, and I sang the national anthem.
The performance went viral and I was interviewed by the daily news.
It was picked up on "good morning America," and I wanted to keep that momentum going.
Never had much faith in love or miracles but coming from being an Usher to being front-and-center on a stage that big was a major change.
Evant to put my heart on the line and I feel like I didn't give them 100% last time.
-How you doing, man? -I'm good.
How you doing? Nice to see you.
Welcome back.
Thank you.
Unfortunately, chairs didn't turn around.
I was kind of nervous.
Mm-hmm, you can hear a little bit of the nerves.
Yeah.
Let's see what the coaches had to say.
You're almost hitting those notes in the beginning, and then by the end, you were nailing those notes.
The problem was it was just a little squirrelly up until that point.
But, man, you really should come back, 'cause I want you to start where you ended.
It was definitely a humbling experience.
You know, it didn't go the way I wanted it to, but it made me realize what I wanted.
Other definitely pushed me to come back.
She was all for it.
I said, "okay, if this is what you want, I will help you emotionally, financially, and I will support you in everything you want to do.
" As soon as I got back home, I actually resigned from my job, and I got some one-on-one vocal coaching, which I never had before.
Right now, I'm just living off savings, getting gigs where I can.
I'm very proud of Bryan.
He's worked hard.
Not only is he a great singer, but he's a great son.
He's an awesome brother.
Right, Marcus? -Aww.
-Aww, it's okay.
It's okay.
You proud of him? Yeah.
Thank you, little man.
To have a support system like that, I'm truly grateful.
Good luck.
Thank you.
"The voice" believes in me.
They brought me back out here for a second chance, and there's no room for nerves.
Like, I know what it takes, and I already know what it feels like to be up there.
This time around, I'm gonna be doing "the hills" by the weeknd.
I feel like it's more up my alley and, vocally, I can relate to it more.
I'm gonna feel it from start to finish.
I got 90 seconds to shock the world, and I'm gonna go out there and get it.
Here we go again.
Let's go.
your man on the road, he doin' promo you said keep our business on the low-low found out I was coming, sent your friends home keep on tryna hide it, but your friends know I only call you when it's half past 5:00 the only time that I'll be by your side I only love it when you touch me, not feel me when I'm messed up, that's the real me I'm messed up, that's the real me, baby come on! Come on! Christina's here?! He made it! He got it! He did it.
Ooh, the only time that I'll be by your side I only love it when you touch me, not feel me ooh, when I'm messed up, that's the real me, baby no! -Did he turn it? -Yeah.
I missed it! No, no! No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
That's country right there, man.
-No, no! T ountry! -No.
-He's got his hat on.
That's country.
Look at those boots.
Look at those boots.
-Unh-unh.
-Whoo! What is your name? My name is Bryan bautista.
You were really feeling the moment.
You didn't really have your eyes open, but I just want you to know before anything starts, I did press my button first.
I was the believer in the greatness from day one.
Just to let you know.
Congrats, man, you were You were here last season.
-Yes, I was.
-Oh, you were? I wasn't here to understand the greatness.
No, yo I got some fresh ears this time.
-Yes! -Yes, yes, yes.
Whoo! But, honestly, if it wasn't for you and Adam's kind words, you all fueled me to come back.
-Oh, man.
That's cool.
What did you work on between the last time and now? I just took advantage of working on my craft.
And, you know, singing, like, is what I love to do.
Yeah.
Your voice was unrecognizable from what it was originally, 'cause I remember you sang You sing a Bruno song? Yeah.
And last time, there were things to tell you about what you need to work on.
-Right.
This time, there was none of that.
It was just literally a stylistic thing for me.
You weren't there to see it, but the improvement was just huge.
Yeah, so you were on Yeah, so you were on season 9, and I'm sorry, Blake.
Were on season 9, too? Oh, he was.
He was.
-But he missed out.
-He was.
I knew it from go.
I think she has a really good point.
I'm telling you, man.
I was having a fit back here going, "what is going on? How come nobody's pushing their button?" And finally, thank God, Christina did.
But then, frick and frack down here still weren't gonna turn their chairs around.
It's funny, 'cause last time, you didn't turn around 'cause you just weren't feeling it.
That sparked a little fire in me.
I was like, "I got to get Blake to turn.
" -Man, you did.
-Oh! Uh-oh, uh-oh.
Don't start setting me up for a fall there, Bryan.
-No, no, no, no.
-Don't start playing with my head because he screwed the pooch the first time.
Hey.
I love what you do.
Man, you you got me, like, dancing in my chair.
I love it.
Bryan, she's like the best singer ever.
You might want to hold on to that for a second.
What are you doing? Shut up.
-Blake's -Thank you, Adam.
Blake's good, too.
What what would you want to duet if I were your coach? We would have to do "fire and desire" Rick James and teena Marie.
Ooooh-whee! Yes! -Crazy.
Okay, can we just, like Let's just pick your coach.
-Okay.
-What? -Please? Just just come home.
Come home to mama.
-I didn't even talk.
Christina! Um Christina! Don't break my heart.
Uh All right, so Oh, my God, uh -Don't break my heart.
Bryan, who do you pick as your coach? Blake.
Oh, wait, wait, wait.
-No! -Whoa, whoa, whoa.
I have to say something.
That was Oh, that was good.
Yeah! Greatest moment of the show's history right there.
I just wanted to say It warms my heart.
Blake, I appreciate you turning around for me, but I pick Christina.
Whoo! Yay! Yeah! Oh, my goodness! We're gonna have fun.
I loved Bryan's performance.
Blake slept on him.
My fresh ears heard him, and I took him.
I appreciate it.
I don't know if Blake would have even known what to do with Bryan, but I do.
That I'm so happy about everything about that.
I went from zero chairs to two chairs.
Christina aguilera.
It's crazy right now.
I'm overwhelmed.
Yes! Team Christina! Come here, little man.
Yay! Give me a hug, boy.
He was about to say something to you, but then pharrell was like, "who do you pick as coach?" -He's like, "Blake, listen" -"Blake.
" I know! I was like, "what?" His face was like, "whoa!" I even I started standing up.
I was like, "you what?" Coming up, Blake questions his bromance.
Adam is the sexiest man alive.
But, on the other side, pharrell is also very good-looking, I think.
Adam, pharrell.
Adam, pharrell.
-Oh, damn.
And later, one artist moves Christina to tears.
Inside of you, there's so much to say, and people need to [ Screaming .]
E.
And people need t welcome back.
Let's meet the next artist.
My name is Abby celso.
I'm 20 years old, and I'm from Rochester, New York.
Hi, guys, welcome to beer market.
How are you? I am a server at the beer market.
I really enjoy it Just hanging out with people and making money for the day.
Growing up, my dad had a band.
He would invite me up to come sing with him a lot.
It was a great experience and really drilled into my brain that, "yeah, this is what I want to do.
" So, earlier this year, I joined a band called the swooners.
We do a lot of motown or jazz or funk.
My family is always there, cheering and keeping me going.
My mom was always my number-one fan.
She used to call me her songbird.
Last year, my mom was diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma.
It was a very aggressive cancer.
In September, it had taken her life.
Watching that happen so quickly was one of the hardest things I think I'll ever go through.
My mom has always wanted me to try out for The Voice.
I remember watching the show with her and her saying to me, like, "you should be on there.
Just do it.
" So I want to do this for her.
I made it.
It's all for you, mom.
To be able to perform in front of these four incredible performers, it's a little bit intimidating.
But I'm excited.
It's hard doing something this caliber without my mom, bushe's here with me and I know she's gonna be there holding my hand through it all.
Come on, Abby.
walking 'round with my head down but I can't hide with these high heels on but it's just you that my mind is on dressed up, got my heart messed up it's unfair that I still care and I wonder where you are tonight thinking it could be different sounds good.
Come on, guys.
Thinking it could be different should've been the perfect storm that's the one you wanted right there! Oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh thinking it could be different thinking it could be different should've been the perfect storm -what's your name? -Abby celso.
I'm 20 years old, and I'm from Rochester, New York.
If I don't get you, that's the song that I will be singing for the rest of my life.
-You look like the Titanic.
-Will you shut up? Like you're leaning off the ront of the tic right now.
Just stop talking for one minute so I can talk to Abby about her future on my team.
Oh.
Confidence.
-Hi, pharrell, by the way.
-Hi.
Abby, stay with me over here.
I think that as great as you were, I think there's even better from you, which is scary.
I think you could win this whole thing, and I that you could do it on my team.
Wow.
Thank you so much.
I'm telling you right now that there's nothing like you on this show.
To have you on my team would be my greatest pleasure.
Thank you very much.
So, please.
Adam is an amazing artist.
Sexiest man alive.
But, on the other side, won many grammys, but not as many grammys for himself as he has by producing new artists along the way.
Oh, damn.
I'm just putting myself in your spot, Abby.
Adam, pharrell.
Adam, pharrell.
I hope that pharrell does your whole record After you win "the voice" with me.
Abby, you're a performer.
You're an artist.
And I said the same thing to this kid named Sawyer.
I didn't tell him I could get him a record deal, though he has one now.
I didn't tell him that he was gonna win the show, though he did.
I just want to stand behind what it is that you have.
And I've worked with a lot of them in my life to know the difference between people who have it and people who don't, and you have it.
That's a wrap.
I'm not just gonna stand behind, I'm gonna stand beside until the point where you can take it all the way.
And I can stand behind you then and watch, 'cause it's gonna be beautiful.
I said "behind" because if I'm to your left, I'm in your way.
If I'm in your right, I'm in your way, but if I'm behind you, I won't let you fall.
-Hold on, hold on.
-Whoa.
Timeout.
This is all nonsense, okay? Whoa! It's like Yoda stuff.
It's like I-I-I don't want to stand behind you because you should fall because then you get up and you're stronger.
Honest to God.
Abby, who do you pick as your coach? pharrell! Pharrell! I pick Pharrell.
Whoa! My team is really shaping up.
I'm super excited.
Ooh, that was a good one, though.
I just loved what Abby was doing.
She just had this vibration about her.
Thank you so much! I'm betrayed by Blake.
It's sneaky.
It's devious.
I don't like it.
I don't like him.
I did not see that coming.
I don't know Why did she go with you? Man, I'm glad I stayed out of it.
You're such an idiot.
I don't know what swayed her.
I think it might have started when you said, "here's why you should pick pharrell.
" That makes me feel good that you think I' powerful.
If you guys feel good that it takes two of you to take me down, that's cool.
You can buy full versions of tonight's blind audition songs on iTunes or listen to them on apple music.
Coming up Lncredible performances Whoa! Have our coaches breaking all the rules.
Put your blinders on.
You're gonna have so much fun on this show, and I'm the most fun.
-That is highly debatable.
-I beg to differ.
That's dirty, Blake.
Welcome back to night one of the blind auditions.
Let's meet the next artist 23-year-old John gilman from bayville, new Jersey.
Bayville is kind of a simple place to grow up.
Currently I'm living with my two brothers in a log cabin.
There's no wi-fi here.
There's no cable tv.
But it's nice because it gives us a lot of quality time to sit around and jam.
It definitely allows me to be creative, and that's really important.
My mom always had a gift with poetry.
When I was a child, she took notice of my singing all the time and she signed me up for this group called "the time cruisers.
" It was like a '50s doo-wop cover group.
We'd sing at different state fairs and events around new Jersey.
And developed a love for that style of music.
the music that I play has that older vibe to it from like the '50s and '60s and rockabilly and delta blues.
I'm definitely influenced by Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, little Richard, Carl Perkins.
They just used to light up the room with their energy.
I hope, one day, I'll be able to do something kind of like that.
Being a musician, I've worked a ton of different jobs.
I've scooped ice cream, washed dishes, done construction.
I worked as a janitor.
I took a job working on blimps.
The first one that I worked on was a "despicable me" blimp.
It was a giant Minion.
It was cool to be a part of, but it got to the point where I knew I had to start doing my music again.
I've really been waiting for this kind of opportunity to happen.
Playing the style of music that I make, I could have never have imagined walking up onto this stage and performing for these four musical icons.
Over the past few years, I spent a lot of time playing alone and writing my songs.
No school, no job.
This is really all I'm going for.
-whoo! -Oh, yeah! Oh, at least please telephone with something I might have said please, let's forget the past Adam! We got it! The future looks bright ahead congratulations.
Oh, I don't want no other love baby, it's just you I'm thinking of yeah.
What is your name? My name is John gilman.
I'm 23, from bayville, new Jersey.
Wow.
Hey, John.
Hi, pharrell.
How's it going? -Do you sing rockabilly? -Yes, yes.
Awesome.
I sing music that's influenced by early rock 'n' roll, doo-wop, rockabilly That kind of stuff.
I hope Adam keeps you in that Lane, because I-I do think it'll be a lot of fun to watch, man.
I'm I'm a fan, and I don't know why I didn't hit my button.
I'm really stupid sometimes.
-I don't care.
I'm glad you didn't.
It's all good.
It's all good.
I turned around because the precision of what you were doing.
And having the courage to sing Elvis, that is serious, serious points.
Awesome.
Thank you.
Welcome to the best team ever.
Rock this town, rock it inside out you're awesome, man.
Really cool.
-Thank you.
-Really cool what you're doing.
-Thank you.
-Appreciate it.
-Thank you.
John crushed it.
I have never had a rockabilly artist on my team and I love that.
Team Adam is off to a beautiful start.
I'm so excited.
I can't wait to work with Adam.
It's gonna be awesome.
It's not funny anymore.
It was funny the first 500 times, but it's dead.
But now pharrell has to laugh everyime because he's already committed.
What you talking about? [ Mutters mockingl coming up By my side, the silver moon The performance of the night that blows our coaches away.
Yeah! I played curly sue in the movie "curly sue.
" --No way.
So you're gonna win "the voice" and you can do it on my team.
Let a girl win it for once! Oh, my gosh.
Welcome back to night one of the blind auditions.
Let's meet the final singer 34-year-old alisan Porter, who's looking for her next big shot at stardom.
When did you first start performing? I first started when I was, like, three years old in commercials.
And then I did "star search" when I was five.
Hi, daddy.
After that, I ended up booking a movie called "parenthood.
" I'm kind of known for vomiting all over Steve Martin.
Oh, that's right.
Do you feel like you want to throw up? Okay.
-Ah! But the role I'm probably most known for is curly sue.
-I had it right in my hand.
-Tough, we don't steal.
But we cheat.
-A little, but we don't steal.
-We lie.
A little more than we cheat, but that's not right, either.
I was nine years old, and I worked with Jim belushi.
It became kind of crazy for a while.
I mean, definitely had a taste of stardom.
Tell me about Broadway.
I know you were in New York for a while.
Yeah, I did two Broadway shows.
I did "footloose", and I also did the revival of "a chorus line.
" It was a very high-stress environment, and I lost myself.
It was a time in my life where I was using drugs and alcohol as much as possible.
But before it was too late, I reached out for help.
There's mommy.
Oh! I've been sober now for eight years.
I really feel like that's when my life started.
-Okay, you ready? -No way, mommy.
Oh, oh! Oh! Being a stay-at-home mom is my favorite job I've ever done.
-You want to put your shoes on? -Yeah.
-Got to the park? -Yes.
But there's a huge part of me that is an artist and I need to express this side of myself, as well.
Ah! -Ah! -Yeah! I've had an amazing career, but as much as I loved acting, none of that was genuinely who alisan Porter is.
In my soul, I am a singer.
And this was my last shot at really making it in the music industry.
And I don't think there's a better way to showcase who I am than being on The Voice.
It means everything to me to stand on a stage a sober, clear human being A mom, a wife -There's mommy.
-Mom! And just sing a beautiful song and have people recognize that I'm somebody who deserves a shot at my dream.
I feel so bad, got a worried mind -yeah! -Whoo! Whoa! Oh, that man of mine standing up.
Whoo! Yeah! Yes.
-Sit down, Adam.
Sit down.
-Sit down.
Hey, you're in the neutral zone.
Put your blinders on.
-Whoo! -Yeah! Bring it home to mama.
Bring it home.
What in the hell? Get over here and sit down.
That's a foul.
I'm ready to sit by my teammate right here.
Out of bounds.
You're disqualified from this.
When I'm here, you don't run the show, Blake.
Just Ooh.
She's right about that, actually.
-But I love you.
Hi, lovey.
What's your name? My name is alisan Porter.
Okay, I'll go sit down 'cause now I feel like your stalker fan right now.
Remember who sat up on stage and worshiped you.
Kindly tell us your story.
I've been singing since I was five years old.
-Me too.
-I was on "star search.
" -Yeah, me too! -Yes.
Wait.
You were on "star search"? -Yes, it's yes.
-What? -We go way back.
And, uh, I was an actress when I was very young.
It's not my passion.
This is my passion.
What were you in? Something that we know? I played curly sue in the movie "curly sue.
" --Shut up.
No way.
Alisan, you're gonna have so much fun on this show.
It's gonna be a blast, and I'm the most fun.
-That is highly debatable.
-I beg to differ.
That's dirty, Blake.
That's dirty.
So, alisan, with a voice like that, how did you guys ignore the signs that this is what you're supposed to have been doing all your life? Honestly, I was going through a hard time in life, and then I-I actually got sober, uh, almost eight years ago, and Wow.
Oh, lovey.
I-I fell in love and I had children and that was my my goal to just be a good mom.
And I really feel like the universe just had a plan for me, because you guys turned for me today, so Well, listen, I respect the universe, and I know that without those distractions, you would not be here today.
To see you perform so eloquently is just amazing.
I would love to have you on my team and garnish what it is that you have now.
Thank you so much.
I really am moved by your story.
Nobody works harder than a mom, and just 100%.
100%.
Lnside of you, there's so much to say, and people need to hear that hope.
And between your story and those pipes of yours, I want to be a part of your history.
Thank you so much.
That was the most beautiful, flawless, passionate, pitch-perfect thing I have ever heard in my entire life.
I'm astonished by you.
-Thank you.
You're gonna win The Voice, and I believe that you can do it on my team.
I really do 100%.
-Let a girl win it for once! For once! Thank you so much.
So, alisan, who do you pick as your coach? Oh, my lord.
Oh, he's doing the this thing.
Oh, my gosh.
Uh I there oh, my gosh.
Oh, my gosh.
There is something in every single one of you that I admire and will take with me on this journey.
I pick Christina.
Oh! Whoa! no, I ain't a scared little girl no more yes! Oh, my God! Alisan is unbelievably talented.
There was something about her that really spoke to me.
We have to win this.
She has totally changed my world.
-Oh, you broke my heart.
-Thank you.
Alisan has that impossible gift.
She really, really blew me away.
That was unbelievable.
We were stunned you picked Christina.
Yeah.
I felt it.
I felt a connection with her.
She's a mom.
She has a career.
-Are these the babies? -Yes! I love all of the coaches so much, but she had like a spotlight on her the whole time.
All right, your mommy's a big star, guys.
There's nobody better than her to kind of mentor me through.
Thank you to everybody that said "Christina" in the audience! No one said my name, not one person.
Like, I'm like this.
I'm like, "guys?" And they're like -You just won.
-Yeah.
Congratulations.
A girl won The Voice.
Hey, I hope so.
It started nine seasons ago Welcome to The Voice, a singing competition unlike any other.
And became An emmy-winning global phenomenon attracting the greatest undiscovered singers in the country And the biggest artists in the music industry to coach them.
Boom! Tonight, the blind auditions kick off an epic 10th season of The Voice.
Returning to our coaches' chairs Last season's winner and three-time voice champion, grammy award-winning lead singer of maroon 5, Adam levine.
After 10 season on this show, what inspires me still to this day is that you have this awesome job that helps people along in their careers.
It's pretty staggering.
Four-time winning coach with over 20 number-one country hits, superstar Blake Shelton.
It's so exciting to me to see an artist on this show go on to have a song on the radio and tour.
I can't wait to see who the next one's gonna be.
Legendary producer and artist with 12 grammy awards, season 8 voice champion pharrell Williams.
We meet on the basis and the discipline of music.
It's this thing that we all love and cherish so much.
And the original queen of The Voice, one of the greatest female vocalists of all time, five-time grammy winner Christina aguilera.
Having the opportunity to give back to someone else, that's really what motivates me to come back and what initiated joining The Voice.
And kicking it off with the guys has been tremendous.
With our superstar coaches reuniting, season 10 of "the voice" will make history.
The blind auditions, it's like Christmas morning.
-Thank you! -Yeah! 10 times the excitement --Wake up! Season 10, it's blind auditions this is crazy.
Respect.
Celebrate me.
And later this season, it's 10 times the star power, as our coaches bring in Sean "diddy" combs, Tori Kelly, coach Gwen Stefani, Patti LaBelle, and key adviser miley Cyrus.
