The first artist to walk across "the voice" stage this season was 23-year-old pop singer and dancer Paxton ingram, who shocked everyone with his coach pick.
I was doing music videos, tours, under some amazing artists, including Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez.
But seeing what they were doing, I wanted that so bad, and I realized that that was the actual dream.
Somebody said you got a new friend whoa.

One of Blake's biggest wins of the season was 20-year-old Mary Sarah, whose vintage country sound got all four coaches to push their buttons.

From the very first four bars of her singing, I cogniz that she had something ve classic about her voice.
Just definitely super special.

Ohh I know what you did last summer aah just lie to me, there's no other hey The battle rounds are the first time that us coaches get a chance to work with these artists.
And you start to learn what these artists are made of.
This is the moment right now that I really wanted her to be my mentor.

And I think that once you get more comfortable, you should, like, take a cue from that.

You need to figure out a way to stay as present as he feels.

The next artist to join team pharrell was 28-year-old former professional ballet dancer and father from Atlanta Nick hagelin.
My son was born with something called arthrogryposis, which is just stiff joints, weak muscles.
And a few different doctors telling us he'll never walk, he'll never feed himself.
I'm almost there.
At 2 1/2 years old, I taught my son how to walk without a walking device.
Sweet beats, dad.
That'll always be my greatest accomplishment, like, no matter what else happens.
I thought I saw you out there crying oh, oooh I thought I heard you call my name ooohh, oooh I thought I saw you out there crying but are we all lost stars trying to light up the dark? Oooh, oooh, ooh What? Now I have competition at the last millisecond? You guys are killing me.

Last year, my mom was diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma.
It was a very aggressive cancer.
In September, it had taken her life.
Happy Birthday, dear mommy Watching that happen so quickly was one of the hardest things I think I'll ever go through.
It should've been us it should've been a fire should've been the perfect storm It should've been us, us that's the one you wanted right there! It, it, it should've been us oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh thinking it could be different maybe we missed it thinking it could be different I'm telling you right now that there's nothing like you on this show.
And I've worked with a lot of them in my life to know the difference between people who have it and people who don't, and you have it.
