(Male announcer) Previously on Hell's Kitchen Your time starts now.
Stay together, stay together.
(Announcer) The chefs were given a budget of $35.
(Announcer) And were tested on their ability to turn a profit.
No.
That's too expensive.
- (Jason) 34.

(Announcer) Later, when Jason ran out of time cooking his cornish game hen Oh, [bleep.]
.
Chicken's not done.
(Announcer) He tried to cut his losses by serving a tiny portion Where's the other half? (Announcer) Leaving the judges wanting more.
The portion size is quite small.
I'm gonna punch myself in the face.
(Announcer) After feeling insecure about her pork loin I'm just not happy.
I'm not pleased with myself.
It just was a mess.
(Announcer) Joy pleased the judges The pork looks very moist.
(Announcer) And herself The protein's cooked beautifully.
- Thank you.
- I would say about $25.
Red team, congratulations.
(Announcer) Which clinched the victory for the red team.
Then, Chef Ramsay surprised everyone with a major announcement.
First-ever Hell's Kitchen calendar.
- Oh! - (Gordon) Oh, yes.
(Announcer) And to help him decide whose dish would represent this season They're gonna call me Mr.
December after today.
(Announcer) He brought back three Hell's Kitchen veterans.
Paul Niedermann, Dana Cohen, and finally, Rock Harper.
Rock? Is he really here? Is this really happening to me? (Announcer) Chef Ramsay added some extra incentive.
(Gordon) The chef whose dish is selected will earn a black jacket.
- Yes! - Yes! (Announcer) But as the chefs presented their creations (Paul) It's just very plain and boring.
(Announcer) Chef Ramsay struggled to find a dish worthy of the calendar.
Very, very gluey.
Help me, help me, help me.
(Announcer) Rochelle's New York strip garnered a mediocre 13 points out of 20, and has the current lead The chimichurri lifts that dish and makes it for me.
(Announcer) But still may not make it on the calendar.
However, you got that raw fat, which is unappetizing.
(Announcer) And now it all comes down to the final hope, Joy.
Right now, I'm not too sure what I'm gonna put on the calendar.
(Announcer) But there just might be a bit of a problem.
(Rock) what was the inspiration behind the dish? Cooking things that I never cooked before.
So you cooked for us stuff you've never cooked before to get on a calendar? Seriously? [Bleep.]
me.
[Ohio players' fire.]

Right.
What have we got? All right, for you I have seared duck breast.
Then on top of that are some oven-roasted figs and mushrooms, and some swiss chard for your veggie.
What was the inspiration behind the dish? Uh My inspiration was actually just cooking things that I never cooked before.
I never cooked duck, I never cooked swiss chard.
- Don't eat blackberries.
- Huh? I ate a fig for the first time here.
So you cooked for us stuff you've cooked before to get on a calendar? Seriously? [Bleep.]
me.
She's like, "this is my first time cooking this.
Okay?" And I'm like, "okay, I might be getting my black jacket.
" It's right there in the center.
I can see it.
It's so pretty.
All right, let's go.
Paul.
Aesthetically, the dish looked amazing.
The whole dish itself eats very well.
There's balance.
You get the acidity.
I like it a lot.
Thank you.
Rock, how was that? Flavor from top to bottom.
It looked beautiful.
The balance with that fruit, it was absolutely amazing.
- Thank you.
- (Gordon) Nice.
Dana, what did you think? I think this is the first dish that I've tasted and said, "wow, this is delicious.
" (Gordon) Rock, give us a number, please, one to five.
I'm just gonna go with a five.
Wow.
Wow, wow, wow.
Paul, one to five, please.
- Gonna go five.
- (Gordon) Wow.
Dana.
I'm gonna give it a five also.
[Laughs.]
Thank you.
[Applause.]
I thought the dish was delicious.
I'm gonna give it a four.
Great job.
Well done.
- Thank you, thank you.
- (Gordon) Well done.
You know, thank you, Chef, But I already got my black jacket.
Nice job, Joy.
Uh, Joy.
Yes, Chef.
Your dish will now be featured in the month of December on the Hell's Kitchen calendar.
And You are the first person to receive a black jacket, this year.
And you cannot be eliminated tonight.
Hey, hey.
Come on up, my darling.
[Applause.]
Well done, my darling.
- Thank you, Chef.
- Congratulations.
- Thank you.
Thank you.
- Well done.
Well done.
Good job.
I feel sexy in my black jacket right now.
I've been talking about the black jacket, talking about the black jacket.
"I want my black jacket.
I want my black jacket.
" And I was the first one to get a black jacket.
How about that? Also, for winning today's challenge, I've prepared a very special menu for a lovely lunch, that you're gonna enjoy here in Hell's Kitchen dining room with Dana, Paul, and Rock.
Sweet.
By the way, the rest of you You'll be cooking the menu.
All of you, head up to the dorms.
We'll call you when we are ready.
Joy, congratulations.
Well done.
Thank you, thank you.
That was a really good dish.
(Gordon) Wasn't it? It was a really good dish.
(Scott) Nice job, Joy.
Oh, I think I think I peed myself.
(Kashia) I'm proud of you, Joy.
Thanks, Boo.
Joy's very deserving of the prize, but I always want to win a challenge in Hell's Kitchen.
Kay, how you feeling? (Kashia) At this point, it gets harder, because, you know, you've been here longer.
You're missing home.
Kashia, you okay, lady? Yeah? It's getting rough, huh? I know it.
That's how I was feeling all day yesterday.
- I just miss my family so much.
- Yeah.
(Scott) I'm here for my family, the same as Kashia.
So just to kind of talk with other people and see how they got through it will help anybody out.
(Joy) So what is the deal, deal, deal? I just miss home a lot.
I am missing my daughter.
And I can't even call and just hear her voice for a minute.
You know she's okay.
You know she's in good hands.
She's safe.
She's well taken care of.
(Joy) She always talks about how she wants to be the one to take that step forward, because nobody else has in her family.
But taking that step isn't easy as she thought it would be.
Just try to fight through it.
Think about how you got through it those first few days, and just hold on to it for the last few days.
Come on, guys.
All the losers downstairs.
Let's go.
Yes, Chef.
(Scott) Serving Joy and the chefs sucks, and I wish that was me sitting down and having lunch.
There are questions that, you know, I would like to sit down and ask with them.
(Announcer) While the losing chefs begin to prep a special menu of shrimp salad and steak - Thank you, sir.
- Thank you.
(Announcer) Joy is ready to have some quality time with the Hell's Kitchen alumni.
Look at you, in your black jacket.
Thank you, thank you.
- So classy.
- [Laughs.]
Congratulations again.
- Thank you, thank you.
- Congratulations.
Come on, guys, move it.
- Yes, Chef.
- Four salads.
(Jean-Philippe) Let's go.
The bread is on the table.
Melanie, let's go.
(James) I'm blown away that six people can't make four salads, faster than this.
- Eggs.
- Eggs and scallions.
Come on, go.
There's three, start going.
(Jean-Philippe) Ladies first.
Nice.
A lot of people always ask me now, like, "oh, is Gordon Ramsay really that mean?" And I'm like, "if you don't take it personally, he has so much constructive criticism to give you" - Absolutely.
Absolutely.
- Don't take on you that.
You make a mistake once, and I find that I didn't make those same mistakes again.
Listen to what he's saying, because he's giving you good advice.
This is awesome, because I'm getting insight From people who understand what's going on.
Who's your biggest competition? The country one over there, Kashia.
And the reason being is because she came in with no experience - Okay.
- But she picks up on everything so fast.
You got to watch her.
Just lightly over the meats.
All right, sauce on that.
(Kashia) I want to serve one, please, if you all do not mind.
There is no other person that I would rather serve than Rock.
He's the best.
Excuse me, you guys.
Thanks, Love Muffin.
- This one - Love Muffin? That's your fan, right there.
I put a little love in there.
You put a little love in there.
All right.
- Can I call you "Love Muffin"? - Yes.
Nice to meet you.
Pleasure to meet you as well.
Thank you.
I got a chance to shake Rock's hand, and I learned he's married.
Do you guys get along? When I have a bad day, she tries to bring me up.
When she has bad days or whatever - It's good to have a friend in Hell's Kitchen.
- Yeah.
He don't taste it.
[Coughs.]
Worry about yourself first.
- So when I put up votes - You all right? And stuff like uh-oh.
Is he choking? Are you all right? Do you need a medic? [Coughing.]
Uh-oh.
(Announcer) Joy is spending time at her reward lunch.
With three Hell's Kitchen veterans a lot of people always ask me now, like "oh, is Gordon Ramsay really that mean?" If you don't take it personally, - listen to what he's saying, because - Yeah.
He's giving you good advice.
At the end of the day, you are here for yourself.
(Announcer) But season nine winner Paul seems to have a bit of a problem.
[Coughs.]
You all right? (Dana) What? Is he choking? - [Coughs.]
- Are you all right? Do you need a medic? [Coughting.]
(Melanie) Is he gonna die? Come, Monsieur.
[Retching, spitting.]
(Joy) I'm, like, nervous.
(Dana) I know.
I can make it [bleep.]
dramatic.
What the hell? [Laughs.]
(Jason) Good.
I'm glad he choked.
Serves that little [bleep.]
right.
Are you okay? I got a little something caught in my throat, we're okay.
Joy, I hope you used your time wisely.
I did.
I think it's about time to - go back in there.
- Yeah.
I watched everybody, and I listened to everybody, and everybody was really helpful.
- Good luck, huh? - Thanks.
Having this experience, it gives you inspiration.
See you guys.
Thanks for eating with me.
- Thanks for lunch, guys.
- Thank you, guys - Thank you.
- It was excellent.
- Thank you.
- Thank you! How was your lunch? It was nice, thank you.
(Announcer) With Joy's special lunch now over, the chefs are now totally focused on prepping for tonight's dinner service.
Kashia, while you're over there, can you go ahead and slice some apples? [Laughs.]
Joy and Kashia, you know, they're basically sisters.
At this point in time, they're not gonna put each other up.
So, you know, I've got to kind of expect that.
I have to be perfect.
Just the same way you asked me to do for you, do for me tonight.
Tonight is a big night, guys.
Yeah, that's for sure.
As long as we do what we did last time, we'll be good.
I'm definitely gonna pump up the team, because we have to keep winning.
- You guys feeling the vibes? - Feeling it.
We're gonna [bleep.]
kill it tonight.
Plus, we have no excuse.
There's four of us.
One person per station, nowhere to hide.
We all know how to cook.
- Let's go, red team.
- Yes, Chef.
Line up, blue team, quick.
Come on, guys.
(Gordon) Let's go.
Whew.
Right, listen carefully.
You probably noticed a table of ten.
We're gonna split it.
Five from the red team, five from the blue team.
We are gonna be serving appetizers, the entrees, and the desserts, all synchronized at the absolute perfect moment.
This table has been reserved for Oxfam, an organization whose mission is to alleviate poverty across the world.
It's very special to me.
Oxfam will be here with a very special guest, a devoted supporter, Oscar nominee, actress Minnie Driver.
- Hmm.
- Wow.
With Minnie Driver's table and Oxfam, like, you're thinking, like, okay, again we have, like, such an important charity.
Like, they do such good work.
We need to make sure that we honor that by giving them, like, a really good service tonight.
Okay, tonight is your last service as red versus blue.
And the chefs that do not get eliminated tonight, will receive a black jacket.
Wow.
I just got to come into that kitchen with fire, energy, passion.
I'm gonna get a black jacket no matter what.
Get on your stations.
Let's go.
- J.
P.
- Chef.
Open Hell's Kitchen.

- Hello.
Good evening.
- Hello.
- Good evening, sir.
- Thank you very much.
Oh, this is so pretty.
Well, I would imagine that you can eat it.
Maybe not.
[Laughs.]
[Coughs.]
Okay, red team, we're out the gate first.
(Gordon) On order, four covers, table 34.
- Two risotto, two scallops.
- Yes, Chef.
(Gordon) Let's go.
We are only three people in our kitchen.
So all of us are gonna have to help each other at some point.
But basically, I am gonna get one of those black jackets.
We just have to keep communicating with each other.
(Announcer) As the red team gets going on their first appetizers, over in the blue kitchen On order, two capellini, two risotto.
After that is two capellini, two scallops, yes? - Yes, Chef.
- (Gabriel) Yes, Chef! (Gordon) Let's go.
So I got one one one set order of scallops, Jason, or two? Just two scallops.
(Jason) Gabriel's just kind of dumb.
He seems to talk a big game but doesn't really produce in the kitchen.
Scallops are out.
I'm gonna walk with the scallop.
(Rochelle) I'm like, "whoa, whoa, whoa.
Gabriel, we don't need those.
" It's not even on this ticket.
You know, I'm trying to get, you know, the risotto out, the capellini out.
I'm like, "scallops? No!" Blue team, quickly, 30 seconds, come over.
Why have you brought them? - Come on, Gabriel.
- No reason, Chef.
No reason.
Where's that even going? - But you just walk up like that.
- No reason.
(Jason) Oh, my God.
Gabriel's just making too many mistakes this late in the game, and there's just no excuse for it.
- You're confusing yourself.
- (Gabriel) Yes, Chef.
- Get in the game.
- Yes, Chef.
(Announcer) While Gabriel gives himself a pep-talk Come on, damn it.
(Announcer) The red kitchen I'll be walking with the first risotto in one minute.
(Announcer) Is working carefully to make sure the evening starts off on a positive note.
Lobster, please.
Walking two tails.
All right, I'm following you in 15 seconds.
Just because Chef said I was safe you're never safe up in this place.
Lobster tails right here, Chef.
Walking with the risotto.
He could snatch this jacket right off my back if he wanted to, so I'm nervous.
That tastes nice, Joy.
Service, please.
[Exhales.]
Whoo! (Announcer) A strong effort from the red kitchen Enables the first set of appetizers to make their way out to diners.
Wonderful.
(Woman) Very good.
That is really good.
(Announcer) Back in the blue kitchen We can walk in 30 on my scallops.
Walking capellini.
Walking with my risotto.
(Announcer) Gabriel has done a good job cooking scallops and coordinating with the rest of his team.
Scallops.
(Gordon) Scallops beautifully cooked.
Service.
(Announcer) And the blue kitchen, like the red kitchen, is off to a solid start.
Now we're smiling.
Go with that, please, guys.
Mmm.
Very good.
- Uh, Joy, Rochelle.
- (Joy) Yes, Chef? Yes, Chef? We're gonna go with Oxfam and the ten top.
Red team, you've got three capellini, two risotto.

Six minutes to the window.
- Yes, Chef.
- (Gordon) Six minutes heard.
What you need help on? Nothing right now.
I'm I'm flowing, baby.
Me, Joy, and Scott, we're gonna work as a team.
Fire the lobster tails.
Yeah, lobster tails are down.
We're gonna have to go for speed and perfection and make sure that we're in sync with the blue kitchen.
Two scallops, and also you got the two lobster tails.
(Gabriel) Scallops are down.
Lobster is down.
Two minutes, yes? We're going up at the same time, guys, yes? (All) Yes, Chef.
Let's go.
Oxfam is there, and I'm all about supporting charities.
Gabriel, change gear.
Come on.

Don't worry.
Gabriel, this is, like, Minnie Driver's table.

Go with that, please, guys.
Go, two.
- Oh, look.
- Finally.
Thank you.
I ordered scallops.

(Gordon) Service, please.
(Announcer) With Gabriel recovering on the Oxfam appetizer order There you go.
I apologize for the delay.
(Man) No worries.
(Announcer) Chef Ramsay has moved on to entrees.
(Gordon) Two Halibut, one chicken, one Wellington.
- How long? - How long, y'all? How much longer you need? I got five minutes out, Chef.

There's one following right behind it, Chef.
But it's not fired! Idiot! Chicken, Wellington, two Halibut.
That's it! I apologize.
Two Halibut away, and you stick three in.
And then you say there's one going next.
There [bleep.]
isn't! I got it, Chef.
Scott got kind of feisty with Chef.
He needs to put some of that passion into his cooking.
Walking with two Halibut.
Slicing chicken now, Chef.
Two Halibut right here.
Wellington right here and chicken right there, Chef.
Oh, man, I said slice at an angle.
Kashia.
Come on.
You cooked the chicken perfectly, but you just clumped down like a big, clumsy clod.
You slice on an angle, so when it goes onto the plate, we open it up, and it fans out.
- Yes, Chef.
- Open that out, it looks like [bleep.]
jaws.
Don't start acting like him.
- Yes, Chef.
- Thank you.
Now [bleep.]

- And you are not gonna start.
- I'm not, Chef.
- One day, if you're lucky enough to own your own business, then you teach that bad practice.
[Bleep.]
, man.
Gabriel, bounce back.
(Announcer) While Gabriel realizes the error of his ways, over in the other kitchen Right behind you.
(Announcer) The red team is just waiting for (Gordon) Salmon.
(Announcer) To complete their entrees for their side of the Oxfam table.
(Gordon) Where's the salmon? Right now I'm three minutes out, okay? Oh, [bleep.]
me.
Really? Hey, Scott, don't do this to me.
I cannot have that embarrassment again.
That's why I want proper synchronization.
Yes, Chef.
Damn.
What were you thinking, Scott? The food is supposed to go out at the same time.
Scott, we're just waiting on you.
Yup.
(Gordon) Let's go, let's go, let's go.

I got salmon that's dry as anything inside.
Come on! Dry! Do you have another one? No, Chef.
What's he doing with the [bleep.]
salmon? (Announcer) As both kitchens stall on salmon for the V.
I.
P.
table I don't like doing this, but we've got no choice.
We've got to go.
(Announcer) Chef Ramsay is once again forced to send out an incomplete order Here we go.
That is really beautiful.
(Announcer) Which unfortunately leaves two guests without an entree.
And one of them happens to be Oxfam's ambassador, Oscar nominee Minnie Driver.
I just want you to know that there's nothing personal here.
It's clearly personal.
- [Laughter.]
- Clearly personal.
Dragging the salmon.
How long? Salmon is up.
Salmon is up, Chef.
Oh, man.
That's burnt.
Yeah.
It's for Minnie too.
Scott! Come here, you.
That's burnt.
Minnie Driver, burnt! The charitable table.
Chef, I apologize.
Young man, you're making mistake after mistake.
All you're doing is pissing me off.
I'm sorry, Chef.
Come on.
Are you kidding me? Burnt fish.
What are you doing, dude? You got another salmon going? Yes, I do, right now.
Bounce back, Scott.
Don't worry.

I.
P.

Salmon.
What is he doing? It's just soft as [bleep.]
.
Hey.
Just touch that.
Just touch the skin.
You can't give me crispy salmon! Oh, my God.
What a frickin' idiot.
Crispy skin, it's simple.
It's just the simplest of physics.
Hey, Scott! Yes, Chef.
Come here, you.
Hey, you as well.
This is painful, seriously painful.
Oh, [bleep.]
, man.
Chef Ramsay's pissed.
This is not good.
What the [bleep.]
are you two doing? [Door slams.]
You're out of [bleep.]
control! Oh, here we go.
He's sleeping with the fishes tonight.
(Announcer) It's an hour and a half into dinner service, and both Scott and Gabriel have floundered on the fish station for the Oxfam charity table.
What the [bleep.]
are you two doing? [Door slams.]
(Announcer) And Chef Ramsay has reached his boiling point.
You're out of [bleep.]
control! Oh, here we go.
He's sleeping with the fishes tonight.
You knew it went over, and you still bring it to me! No, Chef, I didn't think it held over that far.
You still brought it to me! I apologize, Chef.
I didn't mean to do that.
- And your skin is soft.
- Yes, Chef.
You two, you ready to go? (Both) No, Chef.
- Wake up! - (Scott) Yes, Chef.
Give me three minutes on that salmon.
I hate to let myself down and Chef down.
But I'm gonna do everything I can to make sure that I'm not the next one going home.
Scott, I do need the salmon.
Salmon's a minute and a half out.
Joy, will you just double-check that salmon? (Joy) It's still a little mushy.
- 30 seconds, okay? - Yup.
Hey! Salmon! Salmon's up, Chef.
Salmon's up.
Service, J.
P.
, please.
(Jean-Philippe) Yes, Chef.
- Thank you.
- Thank you.
(Scott) Certainly a sigh of relief.
I just had to fix that and keep pushing through, no matter what.
Yum.
How beautiful.
(Announcer) While Minnie Driver receives her fish So good.
(Announcer) There is still one V.
I.
P.
diner waiting for their entree.
I'm dragging the salmon from the Oxfam table.
(Announcer) And the pressure is really on Gabriel to deliver a properly cooked salmon.
If you need me to help you, man, just tell me.
(Gabriel) All right.
(Jason) Gabriel's struggling.
He needs to get it together.
Straighten up and fly right or just jump and die.
Salmon! I'm walking, Chef, right now.
Behind.
You know what, I've bounced back from every [bleep.]
mistake.
And right now, I'm gonna bounce back.
Finally.
Go, please.
Yes! Thank God for that.
(Announcer) With the blue kitchen finally sending the Oxfam table's last entree Come on, keep it together.
Keep it together.
(Announcer) Both kitchens push forward on feeding the rest of the dining room.
On order, four covers, table 33.
- Don't stop.
- Yes, Chef.
You've got to move that butt.
Entree, two salmon, two chicken.
- (All) Yes, Chef.
- Let's go, guys.
Let me know where you're at, Scott, so I can fire this salmon garnish.
You can make it two minutes.
That's fine.
Joy, can you run over here for one second? I just don't want to overcook it.
Check me out.
Look done? Uh, you can go 30 seconds longer.
Let's go.
Chef, I have to drag on one of my chickens.
It's a little pink.
I'm gonna hold it.
I haven't got a [bleep.]
clue what she's saying.
She needs one more minute on her chicken.
Okay.
I'm not serving any pink chicken, 'cause we don't have any more room for error.
I can walk on those salmon right now.
Run them up.
Your garnish is there.
Let's go.
I've got the garnish.
Scott.
- Yes, Chef.
- Come on.
You're in midair again.
I know you don't care, but it looks so stupid.
I'd rather eat Gordon's food than be in the kitchen with him.
Look at me.
You're there, you're in midair.
- Get on the [bleep.]
deck.
- Yes, Chef.
(Minnie) I know how I feel making dinner for eight friends, the horror of it and how much I drink.
[Laughter.]
I drink heavily when I cook.
And they can't even do that.
How long, Kashia? I'm walking with the chicken right now.
Yeah.
Right behind you.
Don't fail me now, chicken.
I ain't got time to play with you.
I'm trying to get my black jacket, you hear me? - Kashia.
- Yes, Chef.
The chicken's cooked perfectly.
Thank you, Chef.
Yes! I know what I'm here for, and I'm here for a black jacket.
Service, please.
Oh, yeah.
I'm game on, baby.
(Announcer) As the red diners enjoy their entrees Yeah.
Some blue diners are not feeling very lucky.
How long? Two salmon, two Wellington.
Two minutes, Chef.
Put some more stock in here, dude, you got to cook this It's searing right now.
The stock is there.
Gabriel he's not listening to anyone.
[Sighs.]
It's [bleep.]
infuriating.
- Salmon.
- I'm walking right now.
Walking with salmon.
Hot.
All of you, come here.
Yeah, oh, really? What next? What possibly could be wrong? The salmon is [bleep.]
raw.
It's raw, and it's stone-[bleep.]
-cold.
Stop! You are done! Oh.
(Announcer) It's two hours into dinner service, and with black jackets on the line All of you, come here! (Announcer) Gabriel has ruined salmon not once I got salmon that's dry as anything inside.
(Announcer) Not twice You can't give me crispy salmon! (Announcer) But three times.
The salmon is [bleep.]
raw.
Stop! (Announcer) And Chef Ramsay has had enough.
You are done! The competition for you is over.
Get out! - Yes, Chef.
- Hey, young man, front door! Get out! Crap, that's a bad way to leave.
- Sorry, team.
- Get out! Oh.
[Bleep.]
me, man.
(Jason) You can just be thrown out of that kitchen.
It's that late in the game, and it's that serious.
- Uh, Gabriel.
- (Gabriel) Yeah.
(Jean-Philippe) Sorry, man.
It was a pleasure.
Listen, the pleasure was ours.
- Thank you.
- However, I need your jacket.
It just didn't go my way tonight.
It was just one bad service too many.
Instead of getting a black jacket, they took my blue jacket.
And my [bleep.]
heart hurts right now, man, because I was this [bleep.]
close.
(Announcer) With just three chefs left on each side So it's two chicken, two Halibut, one Wellington, one salmon, I'm dragging.
Yes, Chef.
(Announcer) Chef Ramsay looks to Melanie to lead the blue kitchen.
What's going, Melanie? Two let me know when your "hamon" and your "hamon.
" Call it back! Two Halibut, one chi two Halibut Do you know what? You just switched off.
The lights are on, but there's no one at home.
Hey, he's gone.
Do you want to join him? - Wake up, Melanie! - Yes, Chef! Chicken, walking.
I need to, like, get my head out of whatever I was in and just bounce back.
Good girl.
Service, please.
(Announcer) With Melanie helping the blue kitchen get back on track, the final dishes are delivered from both kitchens.
- Halibut for the lady.
- (Woman) Ooh.
Last table, guys.
Salmon and Wellington, yes? - (All) Yes, Chef! - Keep it going.
Keep it going.
- Salmon, Chef.
- Thank you.
This looks great.
Thank you.
Bon appétit.
Look at that.
- Thank you.
- Oh, wow.
Good to see you.
Thank you for making Hell's Kitchen even more glamorous.
Ladies, how are we? Your scallops were a bit gritty.
You should be a food critic, you know that? Holy mackerel.
Come on.
She was "meanie" Driver tonight.
- Meanie.
Meanie Driver.
- [Laughter.]
Take your chair and [bleep.]
off outside.
[Laughter.]
Gordon just told you to [bleep.]
off! - I know! My life is - That's like praise from Caesar.
Good to see you guys.
- Thank you, Gordon.
- Thank you.
I'm just, like, off today for some reason.
- Melanie.
- (Melanie) Yes, Chef.
What's wrong with you? Seriously, what's wrong? Pink chicken? I know, I don't even want to [bleep.]
talk about that.
That was the most embarrassing [bleep.]
thing.
I pulled a bunch of rookie mistakes that I shouldn't [bleep.]
do.
You're a better chef than that.
I know.
You know I'm not like that.
I'm not I'm talking always.
I'm [bleep.]
running [bleep.]
up.
I don't know what was with me tonight.
I'm sorry, Chef.
I do not ever want to disappoint Chef Ramsay of all people.
I was looking into his eyes like, "Please don't send me home.
Please don't send me home.
" Just in case any of you are wondering where Gabriel is, he's gone.
Tonight was an absolute, utter meltdown.
Tonight was crucial, guys.
All I wanted was the food to come at the same time.
Tonight, the winning team is Do you know what? There can be no winning team.
Both kitchens had a hand in screwing up the Oxfam table.
It was a joke.
I need both teams to come up with one nominee that should be up for elimination.
I want you to think about everything that has happened so far in Hell's Kitchen.
Get out of here.
One nominee from each team.
(Scott) I know I screwed up.
I shouldn't have put up a bad salmon tonight.
But I'll do whatever I have to do to try to figure out how to learn from past mistakes and improve.
- Chef.
- (Andi) Yeah.
- Do you have 30 seconds? - Yeah.
How do you [bleep.]
take the lashings? (Andi) You just need to move on and show improvement.
Sometimes it hurts really bad, but you just got to let it roll off.
I know you've worked with him for so long now, and it's hard for somebody coming in that hasn't been through that to try to understand it, you know? (Andi) Well, this is the thing it's the mistakes - that are being made should never happen.
- Never happen, yeah.
And so when they do, they're catastrophic.
I mean, people have their food and don't have their food, and stuff's not coming out.
And it truly affects him.
- Like, he gets so upset.
- Right.
So you take it, you know? "I'm sorry, Chef.
My bad.
" - And just move on.
- Sure.
- And you can't let it get to you.
- Yeah.
You can't let it get to your head.
- You know, I - 'Cause tomorrow's a new day.
I always wake up, I put my feet down on the floor, and I'm like, "You know what? Today's a new day.
" - Thanks so much for I thanks.
- You'll be good.
Thanks.
It's great to listen to other people's experiences, what they've done, or what helped them get through.
You know, I've got to own up to my mistakes, take every criticism to heart, and make sure it doesn't happen again.
I just want to know.
Who are you guys voting for? So I can kind of get an idea of (Jason) Sorry.
I'm voting for you.
I just found it odd how you got here, never working a line.
I do catering.
But that's, like, [bleep.]
work.
I just don't think you're a strong cook.
Well, when you come off like an arrogant jerk, like, I don't think that's good either.
Who are you voting for? Out of the two of you guys, I'm gonna vote for you for that constant bad attitude.
Wait, what do you think, then? I have to put you up.
I've never even been talked about going up for elimination.
I've never been even in the conversation - of a possibility for being eliminated.
- Well, tonight, it's different.
I deserve to be here more than [bleep.]
Rochelle or [bleep.]
Melanie.
And especially with Melanie, she just turned into a panicked mess while she was cooking.
If I get sent home and Melanie stays, I'm gonna be [bleep.]
pissed as all hell.
(Kashia) Y'all got to make y'all vote.
And I know Scott's not gonna vote for himself.
I'm not gonna vote for myself, so When I make my decisions, you know, I sit back and I think about, "Do I feel like I can lead you? Do I feel like you can lead me?" (Scott) I'm trying to lead and be vocal.
And I know how to [bleep.]
cook, you know? And every day I'm trying to get stronger and stronger here.
Oh, I don't [bleep.]
doubt that at all.
I don't want anybody to go home at this point.
If I had to say one person was my biggest competition, it would be Kashia.
But Scott, he can cook.
It sucks, because I have to make the decision about who's up on the chopping block.
We'll see.
(Kashia) At the end of the day, you're gonna make the decision that best benefits you, so Yeah.
My decision Um Uh, Jason Blue team's nominee and why, please.
They nominated me.
Do you know why? Man, I've consistently done well here.
I'm a little confused as to why.
For me, Jason, like, I see a little of a lack in passion.
You know, he has experience.
He has a lot of things that he even says, over me, he has, but he hasn't been able to grow.
I haven't seen that side of him yet.
Joy, red team's nominee and why, please.
Um (Announcer) With the coveted black jackets on the line, both teams were asked to nominate one chef for elimination.
The blue team chose Jason.
Joy, red team's nominee and why, please.
Scott, Chef.
Why? At this point in the game, we should all be flawless.
There should be no slip-ups, there should be no issues, no complaints about, like, teamwork.
(Gordon) I appreciate your nominees, but in spite of all that, there's someone else I need to hear from.
Melanie, step forward.
Today, I was so disappointed in your performance.
The challenge was dreadful.
And tonight's service was your worst.
With that in mind, I'm sorry to say you will not you will not be seeing your family anytime soon, because you still have work to do here in Hell's Kitchen.
Come here, you.
Here's your black jacket.
- Well done.
- Thank you.
Kashia, step forward, please.
I've decided that you deserve a black jacket.
Congratulations.
Well done.
Good job.
Thank you so much, Chef.
- Well done.
- Thank you.
(Gordon) Well done, well done, well done.
Thank you.
Rochelle, step forward, please.
Really well done.
- Great job.
Don't stop.
- Thank you so much.
Now for me, the really hard part.
Scott, Jason, step forward, please.
[Exhales.]
Scott Tell me why you think you deserve a black jacket.
(Scott) Chef, I work hard, and I improve every day.
I have made my mistakes, but I keep pushing forward.
I'm here to prove to you that I can be the next chef.
I'm here to do whatever I can, every single day.
Jason, why do you deserve a black jacket? (Jason) I know what I'm doing here.
I am consistently doing well.
I communicate well with other people.
I'm passionate about this.
I am willing to suffer for what I love, and this is what I love to do.
So I should still be here.
Do you think you're a stronger chef than Scott? I believe I am.
I'm used to dealing with, like, the pressure.
And I have a passion for meat, and it seems that's what this is all about.
Scott, what separates you from Jason? Chef, I think I'm a lot more creative than Jason is.
I think I can put up better flavors.
I think I've got a much better palate than Jason does.
[Sighs.]
This is tough.
My decision is Scott.
Take your jacket off.
[Sighs.]
'Cause I've got a black jacket for you.
- [Exhales.]
- Well done.
Cut the excuses.
Congratulations.
- Back in line.
- Thank you, Chef.
Jason I'm sorry That I held on to your black jacket so long.
Congratulations.
- [Exhales.]
[bleep.]
- [Laughs.]
- [Laughs.]
- [Bleep.]
Thank you, Chef.
Thank you.
Thank you.
That was - [Gordon laughs.]
- Yeah.
Yeah.
(Jason) [Bleep.]
.
Oh.
(Gordon) Give yourselves a round of applause.
Come on! - Thank you, Chef.
- (Gordon) Well done.
You're now in the group of the elites.
My goodness me, well done.
- Good job.
- Thank you, Chef.
You were sweating there.
Scott, jeez, what's that smell? Congratulations.
Well done.
Listen, and listen carefully.
You are all now part of a very, very extraordinary elite club.
Enjoy the moment.
Good night.
(Jason) All my hard work and perseverance is paying off.
Yeah, I do this [bleep.]
, and I'm good at it.
[Screams.]
My passion and drive has gotten me this far.
I feel so good.
Watch out.
Kashia is here to stay.
We made it, the final six.
It's anybody's competition.
So I'm improving every day, and I feel like I have a pretty good chance at this.
(Gordon) With Gabriel causing such a disaster in the kitchen tonight, it was hard to tell who else I should send home.
So I gave everybody the thrill of getting a black jacket.
But somebody will definitely be going home after the next dinner service.
(Announcer) Next time on Hell's Kitchen [Yells.]
(Announcer) Now that the chefs are black jackets I am ready for anything.
(Announcer) It's clear they have a dark side.
Damn! Shut the [bleep.]
up! (Announcer) And when the finger-pointing - You backed off and left.
- No, I didn't.
(Announcer) Deceit Bitch, you got him looking at me like I'm a liar.
Sort it out now! (Announcer) And treachery Hey, come here, you.
(Announcer) Blows up in Chef Ramsay's face I know you don't care.
I do.
I don't know what you're talking about, Chef.
(Announcer) You won't believe what happens.
You still haven't got any idea what I'm talking about.
(Scott) I do, Chef.
(Announcer) All next time on an extreme Chef Ramsay is, like, in his grill.
(Announcer) And extremely explosive I don't give a [bleep.]
! I don't give a [bleep.]
! (Announcer) Hell's Kitchen.
There's only so much one [bleep.]
can take! Sync & Corrections by Wolfen
