Dallas s13e24 Episode Script
DABE16 - Just Another Manic Kahn-Day
NARRATOR: Last on Dallas: If you do that again, I'm gonna let everybody know I'm leaving and I'm gonna let them know why.
- You almost sound as if you admire him.
I admire him as I do a poisonous snake.
They can kill so quickly.
- Jessica, where are you? I wanna see you.
JESSICA: I'll pick the time and the place.
Oh, Clayton.
We're through.
You're history.
The one person that can screw up my life and you're with him again.
- Why don't you move into a hotel in town? - That's what I'm gonna do.
Why do I have the feeling this is some grand plan of yours, J.
R? I'm not going anywhere.
Just don't expect to ever hear from me again.
I don't expect anything from you.
J.
R: Goodbye.
Good riddance.
I appreciate your help.
I appreciate the suggestion.
She'll be good for my company.
MARSHALL [ON PHONE.]
: Hello.
Mr.
Farlow? Mr.
Farlow? Hello? Hello? Ellie, hang up the phone.
Call the police.
- Clayton? - She's gone.
Guard's out cold.
You call the police? I didn't have to.
That was Detective Marshall on the phone.
They checked out the fingerprints on the milk carton.
They're Jessica's.
WOMAN [ON PHONE.]
: Hello.
Hotel operator.
May I help you? Oh, this is Mr.
Farlow in Suite 1525.
Guard outside my door is unconscious.
You better get a doctor up here right away.
It's an emergency.
- Yes, sir.
- Thank you.
[SIGHS.]
I just can't believe that she did all this.
I was almost convinced that we were wrong.
That it was somebody else.
Well, the boy misses you, Sue Ellen.
I wish I could say otherwise, but I can't.
Oh, good, good.
Well, I thought you might enjoy his company for a while.
I'll tell you what, I'm gonna have him call you in a few days.
Do me a favor, will you? Make it sound like his idea.
I mean, just pretend we didn't have this conversation, all right? There's nothing going on.
I just thought the boy might like to be with his mama for a while, that's all.
But if you don't like the idea, we can call it all off.
Oh, good.
Well, I thought you might.
All right.
He'll be calling you in a few days.
I appreciate it, darling.
Bye.
Am I dreaming or did you really ask your ex-wife to take John Ross away? No you're not dreaming, and she won't have him forever.
But why are you doing this? Because John Ross is too young to be exposed to the sight of blood.
And whose blood are we talking about this time? Cally's.
Yeah, by the time the boy gets back, she'll be long gone.
And it won't be too difficult to explain to him that she ran off and left us both.
[CHUCKLES.]
Mama, this is a pretty strange time to be taking a vacation.
We have a wedding to plan, you know.
Bobby, we should've called you sooner but Clayton's sister is no longer in the sanitarium.
And we think that she's trying to kill Clayton.
Jessica? - How did she get out? - Bobby, I really can't go into it right now.
But you've got to protect the boys, because Jessica just might She might try to hurt them to get at Clayton.
I'll keep the boys home from school today.
The deputies are still watching the house outside.
Mama, you stay put.
I'm gonna be at the hotel as soon as I can.
There's no reason you should be dealing with this by yourselves.
No, that's all right, Bobby.
We'll be all right.
I'm not taking no for an answer.
I'll be there as soon as I can.
It's gonna have to wait till another time, all right, Morris? You don't have an appointment, Mr.
Barnes.
I don't need one.
Not anymore.
See, I had a chat with my attorneys about our contract.
There's a paragraph that talks about dealing with one's client in good faith.
- I have dealt with you in good faith.
- Really? My attorneys and I don't feel so.
Especially since you continue to see J.
R.
Ewing behind my back.
So we're through.
You think it's that easy, do you? Well, let me tell you something, Mr.
Chairman.
Your career is over.
You don't stand a chance in hell of becoming a sanitation engineer let alone governor.
Well, as I think of it, I would rather be a sanitation engineer than rely on you.
I'm doing a great job at the ORC.
The governor treats me like his first-born.
So I don't need you to help me become governor.
Is that right? Well, let me warn you that this is not the last door that is gonna be slammed in your face.
Where would she go? She have any friends she can hide out with? Well, she knew a lot of people back in San Angelo in the old days.
But she's in Dallas now, so who knows where she's staying? Ellie, I'm sorry to drag you through this all over again.
Oh, nonsense.
Jessica's a very sick woman.
You're not responsible for her behavior.
Well, nevertheless, I'd feel a lot better if you'd go back to Southfork with Bobby.
Why don't we just figure out the best way of catching her? The only way you're gonna catch Jessica is if I'm standing in a parking lot with a "come and get me" sign around my neck.
Oh, Clayton, don't be silly.
And don't forget, Clayton, you have an advantage now.
- You know the identity of the murderer.
- I'd rather not know.
Jessica's killed my friends, put my family at risk.
I wish it were a stranger trying to hunt me down.
You can't dwell on that.
That's not gonna help catch her.
Well, neither is hanging around this hotel room.
Now, bodyguards or no bodyguards, I am going to Atticus' funeral tomorrow.
And if Jessica's following me, maybe my presence there will draw her out.
That could be dangerous, Clayton.
- That's a risk I'm willing to take.
- Clayton has a point.
We can make sure that he's hip-deep in policemen.
I think it's the only choice we have.
Then I'm going too.
For better or worse, Clayton.
And don't you dare try to tell me differently.
JAMES: Thanks for coming with me, April.
APRIL: I was starting to worry about her too.
Shelley? Shelley, are you here? Michelle? Michelle? APRIL: I'll check the bedroom.
Her closets are empty.
April, I found something.
It's addressed to you.
"Dear April.
I guess by now you've realized it's time to find another maid of honor.
The two people I cared about the most dumped me bigtime and I really didn't feel like hanging around and smiling through your wedding.
Inagaki offered me a job out of the country and it was too good to turn down.
I guess the kindness of strangers really does mean more than the love of friends and family.
Michelle.
" Looks like we blew it.
Yeah, I guess we did.
You know, what I'd like to know is how Inagaki got into the picture.
So would I.
WOMAN [ON INTERCOM.]
: Mr.
Ewing is here.
- Send Mr.
Ewing in.
I really think I should be mad at you for what you did the other night.
Oh, well, that's why I came, to make amends with this.
I hope you like it.
Well, you don't look too happy.
I thought you collected Lalique.
You didn't think.
You knew.
Question is how did you know, about that and everything else about me? - Well, I told you, darling.
Relax.
Enjoy it.
- I'm not your darling.
And I'm beginning to resent your presumption that showering me with gifts will win me over.
In fact, I'm getting sick and tired of your constant attempts to try to control my life and my career.
Well, you better get used to it, darling because that's the way it's gonna be from now on.
Get out of my office.
I don't think you understand.
I'm the one giving the orders now.
STEPHANIE: Then I'll just call Security and I'll have them carry you out, thickhead first.
On September 17th, you had dinner with State Senator Cyrus Abercrombie.
And on the 18th he voted for a bill sponsored by a client of yours, State Senator Marcus Cummings.
How did you know that? And another client of yours, David Gallworthy He's a banker and financier here in Dallas.
- Well, he has been skimming money from his clients' trust funds.
And for six years.
Nevertheless, you got him appointed to the commission on Banking Regulations and Safety.
Pretty good job.
You bastard.
You're hardly in a position to call me names, darling.
It's all here.
Every flaw, every weakness every illegal deal made by the rich and not-so-rich.
You had to write everything down, didn't you? - How did you get this? How? - Well, I told you.
When I wanna know something, I find out.
Now, you listen to me.
I made copies of your little gold mine and I got them stashed where you will never find them.
Do you think that'll change anything? I'm in Dallas to stay.
It's not in my mind to drive you out of Dallas.
No.
I want you to stay as long as you can.
All right, then, what's it gonna cost me? Well, from time to time, I'll come to you and ask for a little favor.
A whisper or two in the right politician's ear.
You know what I mean.
And if you don't none of your clients' secrets are safe, nor are yours.
Get out of my sight.
Remember, you belong to me.
Maybe you think that you won this round.
But I promise you, to the day that you die you will regret ever having tangled with me.
[LAUGHS.]
I never did like you, Atticus.
You were a miserable old coot.
But I wouldn't wish what happened to you on anyone.
I'm sorry.
- It's time to move on, Clayton.
- Yeah.
McKAY: Bobby, Miss Ellie, Clayton.
BOBBY: Mac.
- What brings you here? - Same thing as Miss Ellie and Clayton.
Mac's had dealings with Atticus in the past.
I see the police are finally taking this seriously.
Wonder if they've got any leads.
You know something.
What is it? You and Clayton can sit down and talk about this when it's all over.
It's all right, Bobby.
I owe him an explanation.
We can talk on the way over to your car.
- I'll meet you back at the hotel.
McKAY: At the hotel? Now I am curious.
What's going on? ELLIE: You never heard about Clayton's sister, Jessica.
CLAYTON: When you came here, long after we had trouble with her [SIGHS.]
[TIRES SCREECHING.]
[KNOCKING ON DOOR.]
It was nice of you to see us on such short notice.
For you, Miss Stevens, always a pleasure.
- Eugene Inagaki.
- James Beaumont.
Nice to meet you.
Please, have a seat.
So is Mr.
Beaumont your new partner? Actually, no.
Why do you ask? I was hoping you had come to sell the warehouse back to me.
And why would I wanna do that? Since work has not progressed I assumed you were no longer interested in the project.
Now that my sister is gone, you mean.
So if this isn't about the warehouse, what can I do for you and Mr.
Beaumont? I received a strange letter from my sister telling me that you had offered her a job.
Did you think getting Michelle out of town was gonna get you the warehouse back? Of course not.
I admire her ambition and creativity.
I thought she'd be a great asset to my team.
[INTERCOM BUZZES.]
Excuse me, please.
- Yes, Miyoshi? MIYOSHl: Mr.
J.
R.
Ewing is on the line.
Do you wish to take his call? Please tell him I'm busy and will call him back as soon as I can.
Anything else I can help you with? J.
R.
Ewing? I didn't know you were interested in the oil business.
I'm interested in a lot of things, Mr.
Beaumont.
And Mr.
Ewing and I share similar interests.
Some of it oil, some of it other things.
I find it pays to diversify.
Yeah, I'm sure you do.
[PHONE DIALING.]
Detective Marshall, please.
It's Bobby Ewing.
It's an emergency.
Marshall.
Jessica Montfort was at Atticus Ward's funeral.
I'm following her in a She's in a black limo, 427-OCF.
We're heading south on Hillcrest towards downtown.
Thank you.
- Cally.
I saw you drive in.
Hi.
- Hi.
Welcome back.
It was so lonely here without you.
Thanks, Luce.
I missed you too.
I finished those paintings that were commissioned.
- They're out in the car.
- That's great.
Oh, I can't wait to tell Alex how well you're doing.
He is gonna be so thrilled.
What do you mean, tell Alex? Do you still hear from him? I've got something to tell you.
Let's go in here.
Let's sit down.
So, what's going on? Well, Alex and I talk fairly often.
He still has a share in the art gallery, and he likes to know what's going on.
How is he? Is he doing okay? He is doing really well.
In fact, he's thinking of expanding his business.
Maybe even buying another gallery in Europe.
And he wants me to fly over there and manage it for him.
Lucy, that's fantastic.
I'm so happy for you.
Well, I don't know.
I really hate leaving you like this, so I haven't made up my mind yet.
Come on, don't be silly.
Of course you should go.
It's a wonderful opportunity.
I'll be fine, honest.
Then why do you look a little piqued? Do I really? I feel fine.
Emotionally, I mean.
I just think I caught a bug while I was outside painting all day.
Well, if it doesn't work out with you and J.
R you can always move to Europe and come live with me.
Thanks, Luce, but I'll be fine.
BOBBY: Jessica? Bobby, hello.
What a pleasant surprise.
How are you? I'm fine.
It's been a long time.
How have you been? Well, I've been fine.
Thank you for asking.
You're just as sweet as I remember you.
What brings you to Dallas, Jessica? Oh, well, I'm just taking care of some unfinished business.
Would that unfinished business include being at Atticus Ward's funeral? You always were a smart young man.
How did you know? [POLICE SIREN WAILING.]
I was there.
I saw you.
Why were you there? Well, why shouldn't I be there? After all, Atticus is Dusty's father.
More work to do.
Good WOMAN: There you are.
I have a ton of messages for you.
Well, now you don't.
Oh, he's on the phone.
- For this job.
Yeah.
I'll be right with you, son.
Yeah You can call him back.
- And what's this all about? - It's over, J.
R.
Do you understand? No more sneaking around behind my back.
What are you talking about? Michelle and Inagaki.
You got him to offer her that job, didn't you? You just couldn't stand us being together, could you? You think I was gonna watch while you ruined your life by marrying that tramp? - I wasn't gonna marry her.
- Since when? That's not the point.
The point is you decided I couldn't marry her.
You decided to send her away.
And you decided I couldn't be in control of my own life.
She was a sticky-fingered, shallow-minded money pit.
She would've bled you dry.
Believe me, she's a lot better off running that tropical paradise than running your life.
That's my choice to make, not yours.
Now, stay the hell out of my life.
When are you gonna face reality? You live in my house, you live by my rules and you do what I tell you to.
- No, I won't.
I'm out of here.
I don't want your house or your rules.
Now, find yourself another puppet, because this one just cut his strings.
You're my flesh and blood, James.
You can't escape that.
Watch me.
MAN [ON TV.]
: In the news at this hour, Lady Jessica Montfort was arrested today for the murders of several prominent Texas oilmen among them multimillionaire Atticus Ward.
Police arrested Lady Montfort outside her hotel where she was returning from Ward's funeral.
Now, in other news, state legislature has voted funds to install the GPS radar system to effectively monitor and direct all tanker traffic in the Gulf another stunning victory for Cliff Barnes and his Oil Regulatory Commission.
When asked for his comments the governor complimented Barnes on his terrific job adding that he certainly intends to keep him as chairman of the ORC for the next four years.
Seen here with the governor and his wife are Stephanie Rogers and Dan Pollack who, rumor has it, is the governor's hand-picked replacement in the next gubernatorial race.
When we return [TV TURNS OFF.]
I understand I'm entitled to a lawyer.
But I waive all rights to one.
I haven't done anything wrong.
Then you deny having murdered Curley Morrison and Robert Hutch and Arlen and Atticus Ward? Of course I murdered them.
But I had a good reason.
Jessie there's never a good reason to murder.
Oh, Clayton, now you're being silly.
Of course there is.
I did it for Steven.
For my son.
Dusty? Jessica, how could Dusty possibly benefit from their deaths? Not theirs.
Clayton's.
- You're not making any sense, Jessie.
JESSICA: Don't say that.
You remind me of those doctors in that place.
That awful, awful place.
- But I sent you there for your own good.
- No, you put me there because of Because of her.
She wouldn't let us stay at the Southern Cross together.
How she's changed you, Clayton.
Ellie's my wife, Jessie.
I belong with her.
And Dusty belongs with me.
Well, I'm sorry that can't happen.
And why did all those men have to die? Well, they died because of you, Clayton.
You see, that way no one would suspect that my real target was you.
- James, can I come in? JAMES: Yeah.
Why not? James? Cally, I'm sorry.
Look, I know I promised you I'd stay.
What happened? It's J.
R.
He crossed that line once too often.
If I stay here another minute, I'm gonna kill him.
- Did you talk to him about it? - Yeah.
That's why I'm leaving.
I don't wanna be his son anymore.
I don't wanna be part of this family.
I can't do this without you.
I'll still be around for you.
I'm not leaving town.
I'll call you when I get myself set up someplace.
Look, I'm sorry if you feel like I'm running out on you.
But I gotta get out of here.
If you were smart, you'd do the same thing.
Thank you.
- Do you wish to continue? - Well, of course I do.
I have to explain everything to Clayton.
He has to understand how horrible it was being locked up in that place with all those crazy people.
Believe me, Jessica, if there were any other choice, I would've taken it.
But I didn't belong there.
I deserve my freedom, and because of you, I didn't have it.
How did you convince the doctors to let you out? Atticus did that.
We kept in touch through the years.
You know, he wanted to marry me after I told him I was pregnant.
But you wouldn't give us the time.
Whisking me off to England like that.
I know you were grateful to him but how did he talk you into committing all those murders? Oh, he didn't.
That was all my idea.
Why did Atticus go along with it? Well, he wanted all those people dead.
And he was perfectly willing to let me kill them for him.
All he had to do was change his will.
We discussed it on his boat, the one he took with him to Florida.
JESSICA: I made an arrangement with Atticus that suited us both perfectly.
I would get rid of all the people he hated most in the world including his brother and mine and he made a new will to throw everyone off the track.
He even found the perfect island on which to hide while the courts declared him legally dead.
He gave me the key to his house and I slipped inside before the will-reading.
Atticus told me Curley only drank milk, so all I had to do was add the poison.
CLAYTON: Did you arrange for the lights to go out? JESSICA: No, it was just a funny little coincidence.
The poison was already working its way through Curley's bloodstream when that happened.
Of course, I knew dear Rabbit from our days at San Angelo.
And he was only too happy to see me when I stopped by to visit.
I bet you didn't know he had a crush on me in high school.
Once inside, I just put a little something in Rabbit's drink and then made it look like he killed himself.
Arlen was also delighted to see me.
We had drinks and talked about old times.
He showed me his aquarium.
Poor Arlen.
He was so proud of that aquarium.
Atticus was accidentally discovered several days ahead of schedule.
And, of course, he died instead of Clayton.
Ah! Maybe it's just as well.
Atticus was having second thoughts about our little plan and he wanted to call the rest of it off.
If he hadn't died instead of you, Clayton, I may have killed him anyway.
Oh, Bobby, may I have some more water, please? Oh, I had such wonderful plans for Steven and myself.
But when Atticus died, I had to improvise.
So I followed you back to the hotel.
It was simple enough finding your room and drugging the guard.
- Lf that phone hadn't rung - I'd be dead by now.
Oh, it would've been painless.
Clayton, I wouldn't do anything to hurt you.
I know that, Jessie.
APRIL: You sure it's really over? - Well, the worst of it, anyway.
Clayton's meeting with the deputy district attorney and judge to see if he can bargain them out of a trial.
- They gonna go for that? - Well, we hope so.
All we're asking is that the state spare the family the ordeal of a trial by putting Jessica in a high-security institution right now.
Poor Clayton.
You know, maybe we should postpone the wedding.
No way.
This wedding is gonna take place despite rain, sleet, hail or Jessica.
Okay.
Well, then tell me what a wonderful honeymoon we're gonna have in Paris.
- All right.
- Hey, keep away from those.
You're not supposed to see my dress until our wedding day.
You should be ashamed of yourself.
- I barely saw it.
- You did too, you cheater.
- I'm sorry.
- No, you're not.
BOBBY: Uh-huh.
I am sorry.
Look.
See? Okay.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
I thought you left for work already.
After listening to you being sick all night in the bathroom, darling, how could I? - You want me to call a doctor? - No.
I'm just upset about James leaving.
Well, don't be.
He'll calm down eventually.
He'll come running home with his tail tucked between his legs.
- I'm not so sure about that.
- Well, you should be.
And I'll tell you something else, I'm gonna make it easy for the boy.
When he finally does decide to come home l'll be waiting here for him with open arms.
Now, you take care of yourself.
Stay inside today, huh? I have to see the marriage counselor this afternoon, but I won't be long.
Oh, good.
Good.
[PHONE RINGING.]
Hello? Hello.
Is James there, please? It's Cally Ewing.
No, I'm sorry, Mrs.
Ewing.
He hasn't come in yet.
But he should be in later to pick up his things.
- Should I have him call you? - Yes, please.
Oh, and tell him it's important.
Thank you.
[SIGHS.]
[KNOCKING ON DOOR.]
- Hi, Clayton.
Come on in.
- Hi, Mac.
- I'm sorry to barge in on you like this.
- It's not a problem.
- Can I fix you a drink? - Oh, just a short one.
I just came from Atticus' lawyer and he has got some bad news for both of us.
- Not another codicil.
- Worse.
Atticus left his entire estate to his son, Dusty.
And because he feels that Dusty can't manage his affairs all voting rights went to Dusty's mother, Jessica.
- Jessica? - Mm.
No offense, Clayton, but that lady is nuts.
I mean, she can't even tie her own shoelaces.
Now she controls 25 percent of Westar stock? That's right.
Go to court to petition to get a power of attorney.
I just called my lawyer, and he's gonna petition the court right away.
Good.
When you get the voting rights l'd appreciate it if you'd sell the Westar stock to me.
- You're kidding.
- Why would I be kidding? I can't sell that stock to you.
It belongs to Dusty.
All right.
Then how about this? Since you're going to control it anyway how about you coming onboard Westar with me? - Hey, this is no time for jokes, Mac.
- I'm very serious.
I think you and I would make an excellent team.
Couple of old dinosaurs can still show the lads a trick or two.
[CHUCKLES.]
J.
R.
Would love that.
I wouldn't worry about J.
R.
He's a big boy.
Somehow I think he'd survive.
Well, thanks, Mac but I just have no desire to come back in the business.
Is it that, or are you just trying to keep peace in the house? [CHUCKLES.]
I know what you're trying to do.
You're trying to work a little reverse psychology on me.
So is it working? Well, your offer's mighty tempting.
Well, I could just see J.
R.
's face when he finds out.
[BOTH LAUGHING.]
WOMAN: You're still upset about James, aren't you? Yeah, of course I am.
The boy disowned me.
He left Southfork.
He could be in Europe for all I know.
J.
R.
, you have unlimited resources.
Find out where he is.
Go to him.
- Apologize.
- Well, what for? I didn't do anything wrong.
If he wasn't so pigheaded, he'd realize that too.
But you interfered in his life.
This wasn't the first time.
- Whose side are you on, anyhow? - Yours, of course.
Well, it doesn't sound like it.
Well, sometimes you can be a pigheaded fool yourself.
You just watch your mouth, honey.
Maybe you need someone to tell you the truth.
The truth is you're giving me a headache.
Now, I didn't come here to get a lecture on what I can and cannot do with my son.
Then show me what you did was right.
Make me understand.
Well Look, he's my son.
I don't wanna see him get hurt.
I don't wanna see him suffering all the bruises and knocks I got when I was a kid.
Well, maybe he has to lead his own life.
[SIGHS.]
You know, he's probably just too much like me.
He's stubborn and hotheaded.
Got too much pride for his own good.
You know, you should've seen him.
He wasn't afraid of his daddy at all.
Not one little bit.
- It took a lot of guts to stand up to me.
- Just like his daddy.
Yeah, he's a Ewing, all right.
And I'll tell you exactly what I told Cally.
I said, eventually he's gonna come to his senses and come running back to Daddy.
And when he does, I'll be there to forgive him.
[CHUCKLES.]
Yeah, I'll be there.
CALLY: Without James there, I don't know how I can survive.
He was my friend.
I counted on him to help me through the rough times with J.
R.
I mean, if I can stay there and stand up to J.
R.
, then why can't he? Are you really angry at James or are you focusing on him because you're afraid to be angry at J.
R? I'm not afraid to be angry at J.
R.
You're not? Then why aren't you talking about it? He's the one who's forcing James to leave.
That's right.
I hadn't even thought about it like that.
So, what are you gonna do about it? I don't know.
What should I do? J.
R.
Chased your best friend, his own son, away.
He tried to manipulate James just as he's trying to manipulate you.
It's got to stop.
- J.
R.
's been on his best behavior lately.
- He has? Even though he blamed you for the problems he's been having with James? And do you really think that woman called J.
R.
's private line by mistake? That's what he told me.
And he also told you he was faithful when women like Marilee Stone and Michelle Stevens have claimed otherwise.
I've been a fool.
No.
You've been trusting and innocent.
You came into the marriage full of love and hope.
And J.
R.
Took everything good about our marriage and destroyed it.
No more, Patrick.
I'm not gonna let him do this to me anymore.
- Cally, we still have some time left.
- My marriage doesn't have any time.
I can't take it anymore.
J.
R.
Ewing, please.
It's Patrick Knelman calling.
Thank you.
J.
R.
, good news.
It wasn't easy, but it's over.
Listen to this.
PATRICK [ON RECORDING.]
: Cally, we still have some time left.
CALLY: My marriage doesn't have any time.
I can't take it anymore.
So, what do you think? I thought you'd be pleased.
I think I deserve a bonus.
[CHUCKLES.]
Anytime.
It's been a pleasure.
I forgot my purse.
If you ever tell J.
R.
I found out l'll have your license revoked before you can even say "malpractice.
" This is our dirty little secret, Patrick.
Do you understand? Good.
J.
R: Now, wait a minute.
Are you telling me that Jessica controls That's right.
J.
R: Whoever controls that amount of stock has a huge voice in the company.
That person could be the company.
- Right again.
ELLIE: That person's gonna be Clayton soon.
He's already gone to get power of attorney.
And tomorrow, he's flying up to see Dusty and explain everything to him.
- You got ahold of him? CLAYTON: Finally.
I'll tell him everything.
I just hope that he'll forgive me for lying to him all these years.
Oh, I'm sure he'll understand.
You had a good reason.
JOHN ROSS: Dad.
- Dad, she said yes.
She said yes.
- That's great.
I knew she would.
Is there something wonderful going on here that I don't know about? - What is it? - Dad said I could call Mom in England and ask if I could visit her for a couple weeks.
She said I could.
And you were right, Dad.
She said I could come too.
See, Bobby, I was thinking, you know, after the wedding maybe you could drop the boys off in London on your way to Paris.
Well, I think it's a great idea.
We'll drop you off in London, spend a few days in Paris and then we'll spend the rest of the trip with you.
Oh, good.
It's all settled, then.
I can't wait to tell Cally.
Hey, where is she? It's not like her to be this late.
She had an appointment with the marriage counselor.
I guess the session ran a little longer than usual.
JAMES: He's a monster.
He should be locked up.
Can you believe him? Hiring a marriage counselor to break up our marriage? If he wanted me out of the house, why didn't he just say so? Well, because he loves playing games with people.
And he probably wanted you to think that leaving him was your idea.
Well, he's got his wish.
You're gone, and I'm going.
No, don't.
You gotta stay there.
- I can't do that.
- Well, you have to.
Please, just try.
- Why? - Because it's not what he expects.
I don't understand.
He's gonna find himself with the best son and the best wife he ever had.
We're gonna kill him with kindness.
Make him think we're sorry for everything, and that we're back on his side.
But why? Because sooner or later, he's gonna slip up and stick his neck all the way out.
And when that happens, we're gonna chop it off.
NARRATOR: Next on Dallas: You bastard.
WOMAN: Surprise, Bobby Ewing.
From now on, I plan on being the perfect wife for you.
- What? Those voting rights will be mine.
There's nothing you can do to stop it.
I'm here to see Lady Jessica Montfort.
Mr.
Ewing, you're taking quite a risk.
ELLIE: Welcome to the family, April.
I don't wanna see your face again, not in Southfork or Dallas.
CALLY: I am gonna have a baby, April.
I'm pregnant.
