I saw that colt yesterday morning.
Mind me asking you why
you let that guy go?
Because I thought you were doing
some great things with him.
He was one in a million.
I know he is.
I just can't look at him.
He reminds me
too much of that day.
Ty's expression, watching
us do the join up.

when your Grandma Lyndy
got sick, we were
we were pretty strong.
We were so sure that it
would all turn out okay.
But then it didn't.
And over those months, I thought
like, I really thought
that I had accepted it.
But when that day actually came,
when she passed away,
I was lost.

You see, you're supposed to
be the strong guy for everyone.

And I tried to be,
for your mom, especially.
I'm trying to, Grandpa, I really am.

how did you handle it when she died?
Well, I can't say I was very good at it.
I think I took the odd drink too many,
so I wouldn't recommend that.
But there was your mom,
all the work that needed to be done,
and the cattle, there's
always the cattle.

Nobody really knows how to grieve, Amy.
It's different for everyone,
and it's different every time.
I'd say that anyone who
says they know how to grieve
might just have a piece
of their heart missing.
But I do know one thing.
You need to talk about your feelings.
Don't keep 'em all to
yourself, it's not healthy.
It was my fault.
How can it be your fault?
Ty died trying to protect me.
That's right.
He saved your life,
and because of it, you're here now.
And Lyndy has her mom.
It's still my fault.
That morning
Ty said he was feeling weird,
but he refused to go to the doctor,
because he wanted to be there with Lyndy
to watch me work with Spartan, and

Well, I remember one night,

That's what I said
to him when he told me
he needed to go there.
It was important for him to go there.
And I respected him for it.
But it was hard,
to say goodbye.
TY: I don't want my child, our child,
to grow up in this kind of world.
I need to go there.
I need to help do something about it.
