Hell's Kitchen (2005) s14e12 Episode Script

7 Chefs Compete

Previously on Hell's Kitchen How many of you are confident in your palate? The chefs' palates were challenged during Chef Ramsay's annual blind taste test.
If you get three wrong, your teammate gets dumped.
I ain't trying to get all wet.
With a perfect four for four Chicken, apple, carrot, cauliflower.
Well done, Milly.
Milly got the blue team off to an early lead.
Boom, perfect! - But with Nick - Lettuce.
Bye-bye, Randy.
I did really bad.
And Randy both getting three out of four items incorrect Leek? Good-bye, Nick.
The door was open for the newest member of the red team, Josh Avocado.
Who clinched the victory in a tiebreaker.
Well done, Josh.
- You won it for your team.
- Yeah! At a very special dinner service to honor two charities I want to take a picture of this.
It's is so nice.
Each chef was tested on their ability to lead a course Shake the plates, okay, T? All right, let's keep it moving.
Lobsters, please.
Randy struggled with his leadership and his consistency on the risotto course They're not the same taste.
Get them all into one pan.
Correct the seasoning.
That way, it's all seasoned.
And nearly sent out more plates than there were diners.
Why have we got 16 plates of risotto out? Hey, who got 16 plates out? That's on Randy.
That was Randy's dish.
Over in the red kitchen, Josh got off to a rocky start These are overcooked.
- They're over? - Yeah.
As he overcooked batch after batch of tuna for Fran Drescher's table.
Canned tuna has more moisture and more texture.
I forgot how to cook tuna.
But solid performances from Alison and T enabled the red team to finish strong.
Steak is terrific.
Although both teams had a respectable service, the red team lost and chose two nominees.
Josh.
And myself, Chef.
But in a shocking turn of events, Chef Ramsay felt compelled to tell Randy.
That his dream of becoming Head Chef at Caesars Atlantic City was over.
And now, the continuation of Hell's Kitchen.
Get out of here.
_ It's tough because the only person that's gonna help me is me.
_ I have to get inside my mind and get my [Bleep.]
together.
You need to [Bleep.]
- get your head on straight.
- Yeah, I know, Meg.
I don't know what's going on.
I do, and you're gonna hear it.
Josh is a little all over the place, and I just want to say, "Wake the [Bleep.]
up.
" Come on.
Stop overthinking it.
Josh, downstairs.
I see a lot of potential in Josh, and he is receptive to what I say, but he's not sure exactly who he is yet.
Don't get caught up in drama.
Let everybody else go down in flames.
Yeah.
Josh is a crybaby, mama's boy.
People that can't let things go? That's a female trait, you know what I mean? Every time he have a bad night, he got to come and talk to Meghan to get, like, advice - and all that [Bleep.]
.
It's weird.
- Oh, yeah.
Yeah, I know.
I know.
I want to shake you.
I get it.
I need to be shaken.
Yeah, if I was Meghan, I wouldn't be counseling him.
He got to win the competition by himself.
After a night of counseling, questioning, and second-guessing, the chefs head downstairs to face another day and another unique test provided by Chef Ramsay.
Let's go.
Line up, please, guys.
You know a skilled chef is able to unlock the flavor of whatever ingredient.
Now, as you can see, there are a series of lockers behind me.
In those lockers, there are several premium cuts of steak.
However, there are also some less than prime cuts.
Ooh.
And some of the lockers have nothing at all.
For today's challenge, I want each of you to cook me an amazing steak with a incredible side dish.
You've all got 35 minutes total.
[Bleep.]
.
What? That's not a lot of time.
Keys.
Here are your keys.
[Bleep.]
.
Your 35 minutes starts now! Oh, my God.
Go! [Bleep.]
.
- Pink.
Pink, pink.
- Let's go.
There's probably, like, a thousand [Bleep.]
keys, and they're everywhere.
Come on.
Oh, my God.
You literally have to, like, try to unlock every single locker.
- It's not opening.
- Don't waste too much time.
The clock is ticking, guys.
_ _ Try again.
[Bleep.]
.
- You guys haven't gotten anything yet? - Nothing was in it.
Oh, my God.
Oh, it was like playing twister up there.
We slithering and sliding through each other's legs, up under each other's arms, trying to open up those boxes.
Come on, Milly.
Ribcap.
I don't give a [Bleep.]
what a ribcap is.
I'm taking it.
Excellent.
- This is really [Bleep.]
.
- What do you got? - Porterhouse.
- Lucky you.
Wow, porterhouse.
Ooh, that's a big one.
New York, Chef.
New York strip.
Wow.
Energy, let's go.
Come on, guys.
_ - Porterhouse! - Come on! Porterhouse is a tricky steak to cook.
- You're in the red kitchen now.
- I do enjoy a good porterhouse, though, so I'm feeling good about it.
- [Bleep.]
Yes.
Rib eye, Chef.
- Rib eye.
Seriously? I'm getting really flustered because I know the time is ticking.
Six minutes gone.
I have a New York strip, Chef.
- [Bleep.]
.
- A New York strip.
- Michelle.
- Why don't any of these keys work? I'm the last one, and I can't get these lockers open 'cause these damn keys don't fit in any of the keyholes.
Ten minutes gone.
The clock is ticking, Michelle.
- Chef Ramsay is behind me - Damn.
And he sounds a little nervous too, and that doesn't make me feel good at all.
- Okay.
- Wow, flank.
There's a whole bunch of really, really good quality steaks [Bleep.]
, I got flank.
And I get the flank steak, which is probably the cheapest cut that was in those lockers.
Just under 25 minutes to go.
Come on, Michelle.
You can pull this back.
Yes, Chef.
What did you season your steak with, Meghan? Just salt and pepper.
I love steak.
I like to get a really hot pan, a lot of salt and pepper, and you have to give it love.
Oh, yes.
Oh, baby.
Like, you have to make love to it.
Ooh, sexy.
And then just baste it, and it's like, "ugh.
" It's so good.
Oh, baby.
- Whoo.
- You all right? Yeah.
Just gave me a little chicken stock facial.
It's fine.
I need something spicy.
The flank steak is such a cheap cut of meat, I need to enhance the flavors of this, so I went back to my roots and put a little Mexican flare on it.
- How you guys doing? - Good.
Rice and beans.
Duh.
Ten minutes to go.
- Ten minutes.
- Heard.
- Milly, your pan, it's at smoke point.
- Thank you.
Whenever you're ready.
I get my New York strip.
It's a big steak.
This is to top my steak with.
I got some nice cream and some mushrooms.
You can't get a better-looking steak than that.
Ooh, good [Bleep.]
.
Finishing touches.
Let's go.
Plating, guys.
Overcooked.
- Let's go, Milly.
- Heard it.
Where's my sauce? Where's my sauce? Where's my [Bleep.]
sauce? Ten, nine, eight - Who needs something? - Seven, six Five, four, three, two, one.
And serve, guys.
Today, I'm gonna be judging a little differently.
Hmm.
Come on, James.
- King of the hill.
- What? That's right.
I'm gonna taste the dishes individually.
If you are the chef still sitting on that throne at the end of the challenge, you'll win it for your team.
- Awesome.
- Okay.
- T, let's go.
- Good luck, T.
I've been waiting for a challenge like this for a long time now.
Bring on the ribcap.
It's time for me to shine as an individual.
- Here, Chef.
- Okay.
It's all about excellence at this point.
Describe the dish, please.
Chef, I just made a mustard jus, placed it on a bed of vegetables, bacon, and some mushrooms, Chef.
Mm-hmm.
Wow.
You've cooked it beautifully.
- Thank you, Chef.
- I mean, it's absolutely nailed, and the whole thing is cohesive.
Definitely worthy of sitting on the throne.
- Good job.
- Thanks, Chef.
While T gets comfortable in the chair of honor The question is, will you remain in the throne? Um Milly, let's go.
The blue team hopes Milly can unseat her with his New York strip and Rosemary fondue.
Damn.
That is literally teetering on the edge of raw.
You will not be sitting in the throne.
_ - Damn.
- [Bleep.]
.
What a shame.
With Milly's meat too raw to even be considered Let's go.
It's Josh's turn to try and take over the throne with his pomegranate and fig porterhouse.
Lot of people like to start with the fillet first.
Thank you for that.
Comes with instructions.
I'm sorry.
No, no, no, it doesn't.
Oy vey.
It's overcooked.
The fillet completely screwed.
I've gone from one extreme to the other.
Piss off.
I was pissed at myself.
You don't want to go up in front of the best chef in the world and just give him garbage.
Queen T, you could win it for your team if you remain in that seat.
Ah, next up, Meghan.
Let's go.
I definitely think I have this in the bag.
Ah, I did a seared porterhouse, red wine demi sauce with some mushrooms.
How did you get so melting in the mouth like that? I made love to it, put it in the oven, took it out, put it in, took it out.
Question is, is it good enough to replace T’s? It's really tough.
Meghan, the chair's yours.
Great dish.
- Good job.
- Thank you, Chef.
Take the throne.
Wow, it was delicious.
Well, I get the throne.
See you, T.
Ah, she's such a princess.
As the blue team revels in Meghan's stealing of the throne Next up, Alison.
Let's go, please.
Alison steps up with her rib eye.
- Even before I taste it, it's overcooked.
- Yes, Chef.
It's closer to medium-well to well-done.
Meghan, stay where you are.
Oh, my God.
Chef didn't even taste it.
Just 100% embarrassed.
Next up, Nick.
Let's go.
We have a New York strip with a roasted sunchoke puree.
A little bit too clumsy on the garlic.
- Meghan stays where she is.
- Yes, Chef.
Meghan, you only have one more challenger.
Michelle.
Michelle has an awesome palate, and she can cook.
Michelle with the flank.
So I'm getting a little nervous, but the steak that I made was a [Bleep.]
steak.
It wasn't flank steak.
Flank is literally a sear and a sear.
Grilled flank that's seasoned with salt, pepper, and chili powder.
Black bean puree and mango-pepper salsa.
Wow.
That's delicious.
I mean, you've got the cheapest cut, one of the most awkward, but it's a really good dish.
Thank you, Chef.
Two great dishes.
A beautifully well-executed classic, and here we have a cheap cut elevated to the premier league.
Um.
Oh, this is so tough.
It's the final chef's turn in the king of the hill steak challenge.
Two great dishes.
And Michelle is hoping her attempt at elevating a flank steak can oust Meghan and her porterhouse from the throne.
This is so hard.
Meghan Give Michelle the seat, please.
- Yes! - [Bleep.]
.
Meghan is a really tough competitor in this competition.
Wow.
And I just beat her with a flank steak.
I am the queen of the day.
Hi, guys.
Michelle, phenomenal.
Nice.
Red team, I have got one hell of a reward for you today.
I've arranged for all of you to visit one of the most beautiful destinations in Southern California: Catalina Island.
Oh, my God.
You're gonna see California sea life close up while enjoying your private submarine ride.
Oh, my God! After that, I've arranged for you to have an amazing four-course dinner at Catalina's members-only Beach Club.
There's one more thing.
No way.
Michelle.
I have a key for you.
Upstairs in the dorm, there's another present for you all.
- Off you go.
- Okay.
Ah, enjoy.
- Thank you, Chef.
- I don't want you to miss that boat.
Whoo! I just wanted to prove to my team that I shouldn't have gone up for nomination yesterday, because I can definitely pull my own in competitions just like I did today.
- Hey.
- Oh, my God, it's a chest! - Oh, my God.
- Whoa.
- I can't believe this.
- Open it, Michelle.
You ready? One, two Oh, my God! No way! Yeah! You got me a Vitamix? Really? A Vitamix? Oh, my God.
We can make smoothies now.
Yo, Michelle.
- I'm gonna hug you.
- Thank you.
You're welcome.
Ah, Blue team, tomorrow night is steak night big night here in Hell's Kitchen so I have a huge side of beef being delivered shortly.
This thing is in excess of 250 pounds.
Ah, break it down.
Cut up the steaks for tomorrow night.
Yeah? - Meghan.
- Yes? Seven challenge losses in a row.
Yes.
Head out to the patio.
Get some fresh air.
Yes, Chef.
Thanks for rubbing that in.
Just taking one for the team, one right after the other.
I actually thought that we were gonna win that.
Mango and steak.
Yup.
As Meghan tries to force down a slice of humble pie Oh, my God, this sure beats being back at Hell's Kitchen, for real.
The red team is enjoying a slice of the good life.
Guys, we're gonna be on a submarine soon.
Oh, my God, we get to go underwater? Wow.
That's so cool.
Watch your head, Michelle6'2".
Holy [Bleep.]
, like, we're really doing this.
Oh, man, this is freaky.
The red team is really going in a submarine right now.
There's so many fish.
Wow.
Oh, my God.
Look at them.
It's a school.
The fish-pedo.
Look right here.
Look.
Look, look, look.
Oh, my God.
The fish-pedos were awesome.
Fish food flies out.
The fish start fighting.
They get a little catty.
They're such bullies.
They're like mini jaws.
All right, guys.
Today, we'll be, ah, bringing in and breaking down a side of beef.
I got Nick on my team, and then I got a I got Meghan on my team.
Oh! Yeah.
Any time there's something [Bleep.]
heavy, I know they're gonna look right at the [Bleep.]
big man, you know, to start carrying most of the heavy [Bleep.]
.
When Chef Ramsay said it was gonna be a side of beef, I ain't know if it was gonna be just a couple of cuts, but we got the leg all the way to the rib cage.
I'm like, "this is real.
" I'm pissed that we lost.
I don't know how I get beat by Michelle.
Not a lot of [Bleep.]
can get under my skin.
Yeah, let me get a deconstructed fajita at a steak house.
But I keep thinking I should've won that challenge.
I really think that that wasn't - the winning dish? - Yeah.
Obviously it tasted good.
Meghan, just shut up.
We get it.
Let's just get this punishment over with.
Oh, wow.
- Wow, it's so nice in here.
- Wow, look how fancy.
Welcome to Catalina Country Club.
- Hi.
- Hi.
Chef Ramsay really hooked us up.
I mean, this was mad bougie.
I feel so classy.
It felt fancy, and we definitely felt like royals.
Guys, to a wonderful, beautiful day Uh-huh.
Michelle helping us out in getting us here.
But you know what? To the next challenge.
All right.
Yes.
To the next challenge.
All right.
After a day spent cutting meat and cutting loose - It's time to go down to our kitchens.
- The chefs are up early, ready to prep for tonight's dinner service.
- Today's steak night.
- Yes, Chef.
Whole brand-new menu.
Flank steak the way that Michelle did it.
Oh, [Bleep.]
.
It's really an honor to have your dish on the menu at Hell's Kitchen, so and I want to make sure this dish is perfect.
If you flatten it, it's easier.
I know.
Cut off more off the end, so it'll be more flat, you know what I mean? That's what I've been doing.
I know, but you're struggling a little bit.
'Cause my hands are so big.
I've seen people with monster hands do this before.
Michelle thinks she's the greatest thing since French bread.
We have a dinner service that we have to get ready for with a brand-new menu, and you're worried about the way I brunoise a jalapeño.
Hey, Josh.
Remember what I said about it sticking to your knife? Shh.
- I'm just trying to help you out.
- Shh.
- I want it to look really nice.
- Shh.
I was the one that won the competition, so I don't understand why he doesn't listen to me when I'm telling him exactly how to do my dish.
- Can I see, Josh? - Yeah, [Bleep.]
, Michelle.
Here, do you want to do them? - Don't get - Pissing me off, man.
_ What a surprise.
Michelle is being annoying.
Welcome to the [Bleep.]
party, Josh.
Why are you getting so offended when I'm just trying to help 'cause you're it's annoying.
You're annoying.
Guys, come on.
Come on, guys.
Holy [Bleep.]
, your voice and [Bleep.]
.
God bless your boyfriend.
- Please.
Please.
- Just let him do it his way, please.
- It's [Bleep.]
jalapeño.
- Josh.
I'm just giving you a hint just to do it easier for you.
- It'll make your life easier.
- Michelle, seriously? - Yeah.
I'm just - Chill out.
telling you, Josh.
It's insulting for somebody to keep coming at you when you're doing what they ask you to do.
[Bleep.]
driving me nuts already.
Already you're [Bleep.]
driving me nuts.
It's not my responsibility to baby Josh in the kitchen, because babies aren't allowed in the kitchen 'cause they'll get hurt.
I'm telling you, Josh.
Red team, good afternoon.
Chef, how are you? Red team, blue team, line up in front of the pass.
- Let's go.
- Yes, Chef.
Quick, let's go.
Right, first off, tonight, it is steak night in Hell's Kitchen.
I've chosen steak night as the final night that you will cook as two teams.
Yes.
Not only is it the final night you'll be cooking in two kitchens, but it's also the night that some of you will receive the black jacket.
That is right.
Whoo-hoo.
- There it is.
- I love it.
Get one of these and you are a part of a unique club.
Oh, I love it.
- So everyone's inspired, right? - Yes, Chef.
You're ready to fight for the black jacket? - Yes, Chef.
- Well, what are you waiting for? Get on your stations.
We're opening in ten minutes.
Let's go.
I'm putting that black jacket on, 'cause I'ma pump out a perfect service.
No ifs, ands, or buts about it.
We're gonna rock this [Bleep.]
out tonight.
- Perfection tonight.
- Amen.
I love it.
- Marino.
- Yes, Chef? Let's open Hell's Kitchen, please.
Let's go.
Steak night.
Absolutely.
With Hell's Kitchen fully booked for steak night Thank you.
You want to sit there? Great.
I'm so excited.
Chef Ramsay has created a special menu featuring grilled filet mignon, pan-seared New York strip, and Michelle's challenge-winning flank steak with mango salsa.
The filet mignon.
I think I'm gonna have the same.
Appreciate it.
With the added incentive of black jackets on their minds - Black jackets Black jackets - That black jacket motivation.
- after tonight.
- Just keep looking at it.
The chefs appeared to be more focused than ever.
All right, guys.
Here we go.
- Here we go.
- Here we go.
Okay, blue team, the first out the gate, yes.
Tuna on, please.
Let's go.
- Yes, Chef.
- Yes, Chef.
I got your pan for tuna going.
Milly, holler if you need me for anything.
Heard that.
Tonight's service could stand between myself and a black jacket, but I'm confident.
I look great in black.
Everyone looks great in black.
It's so slimming.
Got two salads walking.
Chef I'm over Okay, yeah, that's right.
Let's go.
Heard that.
Meg, how are you looking on those steaks? - Tuna, please, Nick.
- Right now, Chef.
Tuna, let's go.
Two tuna, Chef.
Nicely cooked, that tuna, yes? Service, please.
A strong start for the blue team sends appetizers out to happy diners.
Really good.
Meanwhile, in the red kitchen I can walk with the first ticket in one minute.
Alison, you got the sliders working, right? Yeah.
The entire team is working together to produce their first appetizers.
Behind.
- Chef, two capellini.
- Give me a tong.
Why's it all [Bleep.]
stewed? Hey, all of you.
Hey, all of you.
It's like a [Bleep.]
[Bleep.]
stew.
I'm [Bleep.]
damned if I'm serving that [Bleep.]
dishwater.
Yes, Chef.
And I want to ask you a question, young lady.
Is that worthy of a black jacket? No, Chef.
- I'll fix it, Chef.
- Swimming.
Swimming.
I was trying to get us off to a good start, and now I'm looking like a [Bleep.]
dumb-ass.
It's like a war.
It makes you want to fight harder.
- Come on, Michelle, please.
- Yes, Chef! While Michelle works on the consistency of her capellini Two capellini, two tuna, yes? Two tunas, two capellinis right now, Chef.
There is a consistent flow of appetizers - leaving the blue kitchen - Very nice.
And the team is charging ahead on entrees.
- Everybody good? - Yes, sir.
We gonna communicate and just get this [Bleep.]
food out.
You get the salmon garnish up there? - Yeah.
- Okay.
We ain't got time to talk about nothing else but getting the food out.
Coming back with two filets.
What's he doing? - Hey.
- Yes, Chef.
- Hey, come here.
- Yes, Chef.
I got more color underneath the salmon than I have on top.
- Dry.
- Yes, Chef.
How about waking up first? I'll wake up, Chef.
Yes, Chef.
This is not happening tonight.
Let's go.
Fix it, and let's go.
Put it on there and sear it and let it ride.
While Nick has left his team high and dry with his scorched salmon Salmon in the oven.
Over in the red kitchen, Michelle's refire on her capellini appetizer Here you go, Chef.
Sorry about that.
Very nice, Michelle.
Well done.
Has met Chef Ramsay's standards, and the red team has now shifted into a higher gear.
Come on, guys.
We can do this.
Service, please.
And with Alison in charge of both the fish and grill entrees, Chef Ramsay is looking to her for - Two salmon, two filet.
- 2 ½ minutes, Chef.
The two filet, two salmon that's all you.
Okay, got you.
Heard.
I'm walking garnish in 30 seconds.
Alison, test 'em.
Hey, walking garnish.
Two filets are walking.
I have no excuse but to rock the fish station tonight.
I need to make sure that I step up as a leader for my team.
Two salmon, guys.
Let's go.
We can't afford to lose.
Two salmon.
Oh, [Bleep.]
hell.
Hey, hey, hey.
All of you, come here.
All of you.
Oh, my God.
This is so [Bleep.]
embarrassing.
It's an hour into steak night at Hell's Kitchen.
What the [Bleep.]
is going on? And Alison's raw filet It's not even hot.
It's raw.
Has halted the red team on their first order of entrees.
Black jacket right now, you don't even deserve a red [Bleep.]
jacket.
Right now, there's no excuses.
Tonight is not the night to fail.
Hey, don't come out until you figure it out.
Yes, Chef.
Hear what I really need help with: If someone wants to monitor these filets so that they're done perfectly Okay, I'll do that and work fry.
I'll do that and work fry.
- Okay, got it? Okay.
- Got it.
My station had a hiccup, a hiccup that will never happen again.
I'm not gonna tank.
I'm not gonna fall.
Oh, man.
Oh, [Bleep.]
.
I got raw salmon as well.
Not pink.
It's raw.
Raw.
- Michelle, you run grill and fry.
- Yes, Chef.
Yes, Chef.
Alison, you worry about salmon.
While Michelle tries to help Alison overcome her struggles on the grill Alison, I got it.
We already divvied this up.
Don't you have to get salmon down? Back in the blue kitchen - I got I got garnish for two salmons.
- Got it.
Heard.
Walking salmon.
Walking garnish.
Nick is ready with his refired salmon Behind you, Chef.
Go.
Go, go, go, go.
And the blue team has gotten over a speed bump and is back on track.
Two chicken, two New York strip.
Yes, Chef.
Wowzers.
I literally have, like, 14 steaks going at the same time.
Two salmon, two New York, and then after that, it's gonna be two chicken and two filet.
Heard.
Wow.
So there's a lot of [Bleep.]
going on.
Come on, Meghan.
Ah, walking to the pass right now, Chef.
Right behind.
Coming with two chicken right after that.
- What is that? Meghan.
- Yes, Chef.
- Come on, quick.
- [Bleep.]
me.
Go, Meghan.
Of all the people.
Come on, look.
- [Bleep.]
raw New York strip.
- Yes, Chef.
Come on.
I've never seen Meghan mess up.
I was genuinely surprised.
- You have another one? - Yes, give me one second.
It shows that she is a human being, not a robot.
How long do you need? I need, ah, four minutes, please.
While Meghan tries to rectify her mistake on the New York strip, back in the red kitchen Come on, guys! - Two filets, walking.
- Two filets are walking.
Michelle is ready with the steak refire The filet's fine.
But Chef Ramsay is still waiting on - Salmon! - All right, let's go, Josh.
I need I need two minutes.
Yeah? You need two more minutes? Yeah, I need two more minutes.
So we can't go now because of the garnish.
Yes, Chef.
I guess so.
So now we're gonna overcook the salmon 'cause he needs two more minutes.
Between Josh and Alison, it's hard to say who's worse.
- How long? Are you ready? - Yes, Chef.
Are we ready? Did you hear that? They just got to put their heads down and cook and execute, and it just doesn't seem like that's what's happening.
It'll be one minute.
Pathetic.
With Michelle's filets dying at the pass Send it without it, please, Andi.
Chef Ramsay, hoping that the salmon is not far behind, makes the decision to send out an incomplete order Come back for the salmon, please.
Which, unfortunately, leaves half the table without entrees.
Chef Ramsay's apologizing, but they're not getting your salmon right, and if it's not done correctly, he's not gonna send it out.
Meanwhile, back in the blue kitchen Oh, yeah.
That steak is my bitch.
Meghan is confident that her refire on the New York strip is on point They're beautiful.
- Absolutely beautiful.
- She's nailing them, Chef.
And with Chef Ramsay's stamp of approval All right, guys, good push.
- Yeah, come on, push.
- Sorry about that.
The three-chef blue kitchen is firing on all cylinders.
- You got New Yorks ready? - I got New Yorks ready all day, baby.
Heard that.
I can't believe that I did that.
I made a mistake, but I got it.
Meghan, you through to the window on those? - I'll count.
- Okay, heard.
I like when you boss me around.
Meanwhile, in the red kitchen Where are the salmon? I cannot go back on the floor if I don't have this food.
I know.
Chef, I need a few more seconds.
- Please, Chef.
- Just look at the position you put him in.
The other two people on that four top are finished now.
- Yes, Chef.
- They're finished.
- Chef Ramsay - I got to go.
- Garnish, Josh.
- Yes, Chef.
Is still trying to complete the half-served table.
- Josh, do you have garnish right now? - No, I need more time.
- I'm cooking seven seven at a time.
- Okay, heard.
Heard, Josh.
Do we understand, though? You don't understand that? Josh, I got you.
Come on, Josh.
Do you not know that you're in Hell's Kitchen? Secondly, do you not know that it's Gordon Ramsay at the pass? Third, do you not know that they're giving out black jackets tonight? How long? Josh? - I need one more minute.
Okay? - Okay, heard.
One more minute.
Heard.
- I know what I'm doing.
- I heard you.
Now, I'm not gonna let you talk to me like I'm a child.
I kid you not.
Your timing is way out, and every table a battle.
With Josh's garnish holding up the red team and leaving their diners unsatisfied Can I walk to the pass with filets? Ah, yes.
Walking to the pass, steak.
The blue team has continued to deliver entrees and is on their final ticket.
- Anything else? - That's it.
Great.
Let's go.
Ho, ho.
That was fantastic.
- Hey, blue team.
- Yes, Chef.
Special dessert I want to show.
- Come here, Meghan.
Put that down.
- Yes, Chef.
First of all, that was a good service, but I want you to do something for me.
Yes, Chef.
I want all of you to look after these.
Congratulations, Meghan.
- Thank you, Chef.
- Great job.
Hey, congratulations.
Well done.
- Thank you, Chef.
- And do me a favor.
Get in there.
Get them on quickly.
Hurry up.
Let's go.
What the [Bleep.]
? Is this really happening right now? This is really surreal.
Oh, my God.
Whoo! You already know.
We're part of an elite group now.
We deserved it.
Thank you, Chef Ramsay.
Oh, my God.
I'm [Bleep.]
shaking.
I know.
I'm so excited.
While the blue team quickly puts on their new black jackets, back in the red kitchen I'm walking with garnish in one minute, okay? All Chef Ramsay needs now is Alison's - Salmon? - 60 seconds on the salmon.
To finally send out the rest of the long-delayed entrees.
It's ready.
It's ready.
Salmon.
Walking salmon.
Right behind.
Look at that.
Hey.
Hey, hey, all of you.
Yes, Chef.
Look at that.
This is, like, our 11th, and she still doesn't know how to cook salmon? What the [Bleep.]
, Alison? Steak night disaster night.
And it's like you've given up.
No one's fighting back.
No one's communicating.
That dish resembles you.
[Bleep.]
.
All of you can take your jacket off now and [Bleep.]
off.
It's two hours into steak night, and Alison's latest failure on the fish station That dish resembles you.
[Bleep.]
.
Has Chef Ramsay seeing red.
All of you can take your jacket off now and [Bleep.]
off home.
- T, can you get on [Bleep.]
fish? - Yes, Chef.
Can I have two [Bleep.]
salmon? Yes, Chef.
Oh, my God.
This is not happening.
I just want to die right now.
I am dying.
Chef, four minutes for two salmon.
Please, Chef.
Four minutes.
When you're put in a situation where you got to adapt or die, trust me, death is never an option.
Marino, please, 1 ½ minutes, please, okay? Josh, can I get a salmon garnish in 30 seconds? Come on, like, let's get this [Bleep.]
rolling.
I don't want to have come over to fish to be the hero and then end up being a [Bleep.]
zero.
Hot behind.
Hot behind.
Chef, hot behind.
- Chef, this is very hot.
- Yeah.
Thank you.
T, delicious.
Very good.
The salmon was hand-picked in Scotland.
- You just you just caught it, yeah? - Just my hands, like that.
As the long-suffering red table finally receives their salmon entree, Chef Ramsay has a plan to finish the rest of dinner service.
- Guys.
- Yes, Chef.
- I need you In the red kitchen.
- Yes, Chef.
Get in there and get the [Bleep.]
thing lifted.
- Will you, please? - Yes, Chef.
Yeah? Just kick them off.
- Same stations, y'all.
- Whatever you want.
- Just get in there, will you, please? - Yes, Chef.
- What's the next ticket? - Two filet, two flank.
Hey, red team.
The black jackets have just arrived.
Here's three talented cooks that have earned their black jackets.
Let's go.
I couldn't believe my eyes.
I'm like, "Oh, my God, "they already have black jackets on, "and we're still in these red jackets, "and we're losing.
And they have to come over and help us.
" I'm infuriated right now.
I want to have a black jacket on.
- Right there.
Right there.
- Stop running around me.
- No, it's got to cook.
It's got to cook.
- I'm right here.
Great, congratulations.
I appreciate it.
But you know what, if I'm gonna go down, I'm gonna go down by myself.
They were not happy to see us.
The red team looked like they saw a ghost.
They were like, "[Bleep.]
.
" - Can I just work the fryer? - Yeah.
Heard that.
Oh, yeah, sexy bitch.
Go.
Sauce.
With support from the newest members of the black jacket club, the red kitchen Touchdown.
Thank you, guys.
Has finally completed dinner service.
I tell you, the steak is outstanding.
Can we go back to our kitchen? I want to clean up.
At this stage of the competition, I didn't expect to witness service we've just witnessed.
Get upstairs and think of everything you've seen here in Hell's Kitchen and come up with two nominees.
Black jackets, contribute as well, bearing in mind the ones that do survive will be joining your team.
Get lost.
The red team was a [Bleep.]
epic fail tonight.
I'm annoyed right now.
I'm annoyed.
This is, like, we never cooked together a day in our life, and it's the first day of culinary school.
That's how the performance on this team was.
Alison, I don't know what the [Bleep.]
happened to you, but raw steak like, Sushi-grade raw.
I'm gonna man up and say, "Yeah, of course.
" It.
.
it wasn't smooth, and I've done way better and Yeah, but you can't hold down your station, Alison.
This isn't the first night.
But, Michelle, the same two capellinis you sent them up like they was [Bleep.]
ramen noodles with [Bleep.]
broths in them.
Did you really look at that? I'ma keep it real.
Michelle, why you so mean? I just don't understand.
Why are you so mean in the kitchen? Whenever I hear you, you're, like, mean.
Look, I don't ever try to come off mean.
If I have people that I can work with and people that can do their jobs and cook right, I won't get so frustrated, but I cannot just stand there and be submissive all the time.
- I have to fight back.
- There's a way to do it.
Josh, I'ma be real with you.
You never got it together tonight.
- [Bleep.]
.
- You were going into service - because let me tell you something - I recovered immediately.
Garnish was all over the place.
I did not have a problem.
Look, Josh, we have to look at the whole picture, though.
All right, three on one.
That's good.
I'm on the red team.
Good.
If it's my demise, then congratulations.
The red team is not your demise.
Did you do well on the blue team? Did you do well on the red team? You haven't admitted once that you did anything wrong.
I don't know what you're saying.
You're, like, making [Bleep.]
up in your mind.
It's not personal.
We got to come together as a team, and we got to make this decision.
We got to figure out who has had the worst services - out of y'all three.
- And who can work well together.
After a dinner service in which the blue team received their black jackets, they were asked to help the red team nominate two chefs for elimination.
Meghan, Milly, and Nick, well done.
- Thank you, Chef.
- Thank you, Chef.
T, red team's first nominee and why.
Our first nominee is Josh.
He's just been consistently frazzled.
He's not getting dishes out.
He's just not executing.
He's not rising to the occasion, Chef.
Second nominee and why.
Um The second nominee is Alison.
She hasn't been able to hold down her station.
Just failure to execute.
And she never recovered, Chef.
Do you know what? Right now, I want to hear from somebody else.
Michelle, step forward.
You've had a great run here in Hell's Kitchen, but you've still got a lot to learn.
Take off your jacket.
I'd like you to put on your black jacket.
- Oh, my God.
- Congratulations, well-deserved.
- Congratulations, Michelle.
- Well done, great job.
Thank you, Chef.
- Really good job.
Well done.
- Thank you.
T, step forward.
You were the best chef on the red team tonight.
Congratulations.
Put this on.
Well done.
Great job.
I want that red jacket.
I get the [Bleep.]
black jacket.
Amazing.
Oh, my God.
Brilliant work, T.
Josh, Alison, step forward, please.
Alison, you first.
Tell me why you think you deserve a black jacket.
Chef, I know I have it within myself.
I've displayed consistency throughout.
But tonight was an epic [Bleep.]
show, Chef.
With that black jacket, I know within that I can be that chef that you need.
- Josh.
- Chef, I am a leader.
When I take the reins, I lead as best as I can.
Yeah, I've had moments of darkness, but no matter what happens, I'm always trying to bounce back, Chef.
Both of you take off your jackets.
Alison, you have had flashes of brilliance, undeniably, but I'm sorry to say you are not ready to be my Head Chef.
Thank you so much, Chef.
- Good night.
- Thank you, guys.
Bye, Alison.
It beats me up knowing that the one night of the jackets is when I royally screw myself, but I'm still young, so there's hope.
The universe is definitely my oyster at this point.
I am a better chef than when I walked in these doors, and if you can deal with Chef Ramsay, I feel like you can deal with anything else in the world.
Josh.
Yeah, you're tenacious.
You got a voice.
But I'm not sure what's happened to you lately, because you you seem to be slipping.
I can bounce back, Chef.
I know I can.
I know I can, Chef.
I'm sorry to say you're just not ready To go home.
Here's your black jacket.
- Chef.
- Wake up, big boy.
And I'm serious.
Great.
Thank you, Chef.
All of you no red team, no blue team.
The regular season is over.
The playoffs now begin.
Get out of here.
Faded to black.
What a night to have an epic performance.
Only the strong survive, baby.
Wow, I just got the black jacket.
I could feel Nick making a face, but you know what? I'm in the same color as you, buddy.
Once you go black, you never go back.
I feel like a gladiator right now.
I earned my black jacket.
It wasn't given to me.
It was earned.
Alison had a strong voice in the kitchen.
Unfortunately, she couldn't talk her way into a black jacket.
Next time on Hell's Kitchen, when Chef Ramsay exposes the chefs to his latest chemistry experiment That does not look like something that I want anywhere near my mouth.
No, no.
No, no, no, no, no! Will it make Josh too happy for his own good? Ah, yeah.
He's losing his mind.
And could he take everyone down with him? - Breaking my [Bleep.]
focus.
- Milly.
- I don't give a [Bleep.]
.
- [Bleep.]
clown.
And what effect will Josh have on dinner service? - Move, Josh.
- Yell at me.
Yell at me.
Will the chefs be able to complete service or even a ticket? - Tell me how long, please.
- No, dude.
We're asking you a question.
- Answer it.
- How long? It doesn't matter.
Chef Ramsay is in for a night unlike any other night.
Whoo, whoo! - Hey, look at me.
- Whoo, whoo.
Like a [Bleep.]
baboon there.
All next time - No, no, no.
Josh, Josh! - Oh, my God, Josh.
On a highly combustible episode Oh, my God, it's a fire.
Of Hell's Kitchen.
