The Amazing Race (2001) s25e08 Episode Script
Hot Sexy Knights
Phil: Previously on "The Amazing Race".
Six teams raced to Palermo, Sicily.
Jim and Kym sped to an early lead at the Roadblock.
While Brooke and Robbie stalled out.
- Taxi! They got it.
- Damn it.
It's always the taxi kills us.
At the Detour, the married dentists and cyclists continued their rivalry.
Kym and Alli were right there with us.
We definitely have our differences with the dentists.
While Tim and Te Jay suffered for their art.
This is a lot harder than I thought.
and the dating wrestlers enjoyed the opera.
- Did you understand one word? - No.
Not at all.
Phil: In the end, Misti and Jim won their fourth leg.
It's our fourth win, Phil.
Phil: And last place, Tim and Te Jay stayed in the game.
Phil: This is a non-elimination leg.
You are still in the race.
Phil: Six teams remain.
Who will be eliminated next? Phil: Palermo is the capital of Sicily.
Home to more than half a million people.
And on the outskirts of the city, Villa Niscemi, the headquarters for Palermo's Mayor.
From this beautiful villa, six teams will start the next leg of "The Amazing Race".
Misti and Jim won the last leg of the race and will depart first at 6:37 AM.
Malta.
Phil: Teams must now make their way to the island nation of Malta.
Located in the center of the Mediterranean Sea.
When they arrive, they will need to pick up an order of drinks from the Bridge Bar, and then make their way up Saint Ursula staircase.
Climbing these daunting stairs with the heavy tray of drinks will be exhausting, but once they've delivered them to the knights of Malta, they'll receive their next clue.
- Not what I was expecting.
Let's go.
- Ok.
Going into like eight, we won four out of seven.
- Ready for more.
- I'm ready for the thumb.
- Where's Malta? - I don't know.
All right.
Let's go.
Is Malta, Spain? Is it Greece? Is it Italy? Maybe Malta is its own country.
- Rocking and rolling.
I like it.
- Where the heck is Malta? Amy's leg hasn't been feeling the best.
I got really excited when we found out that we were going on "The Amazing Race" and jumped into pretty difficult workout routine.
- Too much, too fast.
- It was too much.
It's painful but at the same time, I'm not going to let it hinder us in the race.
- The water.
Let's go.
- Babe, look at Amy.
Amy.
We still have the Express Pass in our possession.
It's really nice going into eighth leg with the Express Pass.
Because all six teams are really strong.
And we're going to express our way through.
Malta.
- What is Malta? - I don't know.
For us, win the million would be a miracle, just to travel and stay in the race is all we really want.
Ferry, again? Our dynamite may have had a short fuse.
But we're ready to explode and rock on.
We are about to get on a ferry to Malta.
We just bought our tickets and we get there our clue tells us, to get some drinks and to meet some knights there.
Looking forward to that.
The cyclists went off and they're sitting by themselves again.
- I don't know why.
- Why are they so sneaky? - I don't know.
- My least favorite two people.
I can't stand the cyclists.
I just don't trust them and they rub me the wrong way.
And they kinda do their own thing, they're very solo.
And they're super, super strong, so I want to get rid of them.
I wanna Double U-turn them.
Let's rack this up a notch and take a few risks here.
And I'm not opposed to doing it, but we have to have everyone agree to it.
The only thing we thought about was U-turning if we needed to.
- Are you in? - I'm in.
As long as it's not me, I'm in, duh! I don't understand how they're still hanging out with each other.
People are like, why are you out there by yourselves? - Why are you hanging out alone? - It's really suspicious.
Maybe we just don't want to talk to you and maybe we just need a minute.
Maybe we're just New Yorkers.
I think we should all have code names.
Individual code names.
- I'm Viper.
- I'm no longer Robbie.
- Sniper.
- I'm Sniper.
Viper and Sniper.
- What are you guys? - You can be Maverick.
- No, I'll be Molar.
- Molar? - I'll be Cuspid.
- Molar and Cuspid.
- We're Cookies and Cream.
- Cookies and Cream.
- Cookies and Cream.
- Cookies and Cream.
I'm right behind you.
- Excuse us.
Taxi.
Taxi.
- Taxi.
Taxi.
Do you speak English? - Yes.
- Get in front of this taxi.
We have to go very fast.
We're in a race, though.
We need to go quickly.
Let's go, let's go, let's go.
All right.
It looks like we have a good jump.
And the teams first off the ferry, first in the taxi.
Good hustling, honeybun.
- The Bridge Bar.
- Right here.
Good job, babe.
- Bartender.
- Hey, guys.
Hi.
How are you? Carry the trays with your fingers like this.
And always above your shoulders.
If you drop anything that's on the tray and it breaks, you come back and I replace it for you.
You need to clean it, I'll give you a broom.
You clean it up and dispose what you break.
Oh, these are the steps, babe.
Oh, this ain't going to be pretty.
Here we go.
Oh, my God.
How did they get here? How did they beat us? - Yes.
Wait.
Right there.
- Hurry.
Hurry.
Hurry.
Go.
Take our time.
Nice and easy.
Oh, my God.
What is that, like 500 stairs? - Kym, slow down, please.
- Got it? - Which way do have it held? - I haven't even tried to hold it yet.
Go slow and steady.
- You carrying it in front of you? - No, you have to All right.
- Misti, did I drop one or two? - Two.
I didn't make it out the door without dropping this.
Let me get it.
Let me get it.
I got to get it balanced first.
Slow and steady wins the race.
I'm doing fine.
How are you doing? I'm doing good.
But let's take it slow.
Oh, my God, babe.
I don't know if I can do this.
- You got it.
- Oh, my God.
Come on, baby.
You got it.
Slow and steady, Te Jay.
Really slow.
You have this.
Breathe.
Keep your cool.
I don't know if I'll make it.
I'm being for real.
- You will.
- Ursula Street.
Good job.
You got this.
Stay focused.
Good job, baby.
I see it.
There it is.
Good job, baby.
I see it.
There it is.
- Where are the knights? - I see the knights.
- Oh, beautiful.
- Hello.
- Hey! - We brought you your drinks.
Follow me.
And the other one there.
Oh, what a mess you've done! Clean it up! Clean it up.
Are you kidding me? I'm sorry.
- That's ok.
- Oh, my gosh.
I can't believe I just blew that.
- My hand is going to give.
- You got it, baby.
Come on.
We're almost there.
We don't even know where we're going.
- Babe, are you ok? - Yeah.
Slow and steady.
You got it.
- How far up is it? - It's up there.
I blew it.
- Is it a left or right? - We dropped it.
Baby, come on.
We're almost there.
Are there going to be any handsome knights? A knight in shining armor I can have a drink with after this? Hold up.
Hold up.
Hey, can you guys This is hard.
- Excuse excuse.
- Better here than up here.
- Why are you going so slow? - So I don't break them? Alli, come on.
Tell me it's close.
Please.
- I'm right behind you.
- Slow and steady.
Just trying to concentrate on this.
It's very easy to drop it.
[Applause.]
- Oh, gosh.
It's windy.
- Just be careful.
Is that the right way, T&T? We think so.
We saw the surfers going this way.
- Ok.
Ok.
- Thank you.
All right, babe.
This one, let's take it nice and slow.
Wait, Tim.
Hold on.
Oh, my God! Everybody be careful.
I heard one drop.
- Damn it.
- You told me to hang on.
You kept going and going and going.
Grab everything and let's run.
Knights of Malta.
Where are you? Oh, I see them.
Hey! High-five some hot, sexy knights.
Hello.
Let's get drunk! Here's the clue.
Phil: Teams must now make their way to the boat house at Zurrieq Valley Sea Inlet and search for their next clue.
- Come on.
- Let's go.
Run.
- Find a cab.
- Cab.
Kind of windy.
Oh! - We're going to the boat house.
- No problem.
- Can you call another taxi? - He's calling for you guys.
I don't believe her.
- I don't trust her for a second.
- For real? Are you calling? - He's calling for real.
- He is calling.
Alli, why did you do that? We don't want them.
We should have told them no.
- Too late.
- You can cancel their taxi.
They don't need a taxi.
But we need a taxi.
So we need to go as fast as possible.
- This is the one we take our time.
- Ok.
- Let's go.
- Go, go, go, go.
Put it there.
You put the other side.
Come on, man.
- Here's your clue.
- Thank you.
Cheers! - Watch out.
- This way.
Adam and Bethany, Tim and Te Jay, and candy girls are all behind us.
Babe.
Careful.
Careful.
Good job, hon.
- Where can we get a taxi? - Taxis! - There's nothing.
- Damn it.
This always happens to us.
- Well done.
- Follow me.
Thank you.
- Thank you.
- Thank you.
Taxi right here.
- Thank you.
- Grazzi.
Speaking Maltese now, huh? Can we get a taxi up there? There's no taxi here.
Go to the bus station.
Crap.
It's harder with each attempt, though.
More fatigue.
Maya! - Why did you stop? - Because mine was falling.
I didn't know you were right behind me.
Are you available? Excellent.
- Do you know this? - I know.
Ok, take us there.
- Wait.
Oh, my God.
- Damn it! - There they go in a taxi.
- Who was it? Dentists.
Taxi! - Thank you.
- Oh, my God.
We just ran all over that town looking for a taxi.
This is unreal.
- Watch us being last.
- We are.
- What is up here? - I don't know.
Come on.
- Taxi! - Get it.
Come on.
Thank you.
- Sir, very important.
- Wait.
Can we go to the boat house? I cannot believe our entire lead is like wasted.
Tickets to Blue Grotto? Ok.
Let's check out down here.
This looks pretty.
- Look out here.
- Oh, my gosh.
- Looking for a clue box.
- Maybe those necklaces hanging.
Oh, yeah.
Are they all 7:30? There's three 7:30's and three 7:45's.
- Are you kidding me? - No.
- Can our Speed Bump be here, please? - What the heck? Just when we were running ahead.
We are going to a clean up of another broken glass and we gotta do it over.
Hopefully, for a final time.
So you know what good balance feels like? We just have to do it again.
7:30, some 7:45, 7:45, 7:45.
Ok.
Top three.
Good place to be.
- Knights of Malta! - Yeah! [Applause.]
There you are.
Good luck.
- Thank you.
- Oh, God.
- Come on, come on.
- Here, hon, let's go.
- Is this it? - This is the clue, I think.
- What will we do at 7:45? - We're going on a boat.
- Yeah.
- We're going to go on a boat in Malta.
- Where is the boat house? - Close.
Down there.
Does it say something? - 7:45.
- We're so sleeping here right now.
I don't want to camp again.
Grab a blanket, girls.
Ready to sleep with the rats and the stray cats? No! I think I'm going to do a bench just to stay one level up above the rats.
Ew! There's bugs everywhere.
- Well, this looks cozy.
- This is it.
Look at our mats, so epic.
Nothing like a quarter-inch of foam between you and concrete.
Oh, my goodness.
- Thank you.
Morning.
- Thank you.
- Roadblock.
- Who's feeling blue? Malta is well-known for its craggy coastline and stunning geological rock formations like this, The Blue Grotto.
Formed by the relentless pounding of the sea.
This Roadblock requires teams to rappel 20 stories off this cliff into The Blue Grotto, where they'll meet their partner and search the cave for their next clue.
- Who's feeling blue? - You are.
- You do it.
- Ok.
Oh, man.
Focus.
Don't stress out.
Wow.
This is beautiful! Good way to start a morning in Malta.
This is so cool.
Wow.
- I think you're feeling blue.
- I'm feeling blue.
Amy is going to do it.
- You.
- Me.
Brooke, this is gorgeous.
Oh, my gosh.
It's so pretty.
The water is a crazy blue that I've never seen in my life.
It almost looks fake.
I'm so jealous.
- Alli, have you rappelled before? - Never rappelled.
- No.
Have you? - No.
I'm so happy I'm not doing this challenge.
It looks way too high for me.
And that rope looks tiny.
It is a little scary, I think.
Probably better that Alli is doing it.
I do have a little bit of a fear of heights.
Ready, guys? One, two, three, begin.
Oh, my God.
- Misti is coming out first.
- Awesome! Oh, my gosh! - That is crazy! - Good job.
Strong and fast.
Keep going.
Keep going.
Come on, Alli.
Come on.
Misti is crushing you right now.
- Alli! - Awesome.
She's doing great.
She's fearless and coming down.
Keep going, keep going.
Fast, fast, fast.
Alli is gaining on you.
Keep going.
Misti is first.
Then Alli second.
Wait.
Where's Tim? I'm not scared of heights usually.
But then to balance over the edge and like lean back, was scary.
- Tim, faster.
- Shut up.
Keep going.
Keep going.
Good job, baby.
Yeah, girl.
Yeah, girl.
Oh, man.
- The girls did it really fast.
- Come here, baby.
- Great job.
You kicked ass.
- That was pretty awesome.
- Tim, faster.
- I am, I am, I am.
We've got to search in the Grotto for our next clue.
You can do it.
Good job, baby.
When I finally got in the lagoon, I could see like a bright blue light and a boat in the distance, so I just like swam as fast as I possibly could.
We got down into the water, it was blue, blue, blue.
That's too bad that we were exhausted and kind of excited about getting back to the boat with the rest of the crew, that we didn't really get to enjoy it more.
But what we got to see was beautiful.
- I have too much clothes on me.
- Yeah, me too.
- Ready? - Yeah.
- Let's go, let's go, let's go.
- So she got it.
Ew, of course.
As always.
The cyclists are the first ones to have found their clue.
It never fails.
So over it.
I hope our plan works and that we get to U-turn them.
There's Tim.
And Misti.
Come on, babe! Alli left already.
Just keep coming strong.
You're almost there.
Make your way to this church of Saint Scholastica.
Phil: Teams must head to the church of Saint Scholastica and Monastery of the benedictine nuns in Birgu.
Once there, they must search for their next clue on Triq Antika.
Let's go, we gotta get back to the beach.
Good job, girl.
It was hard, but it was fantastic.
I feel refreshed and I got my bath today.
Good job.
- Yeah! - Come on, babe.
Good job.
There's Bethany.
- You got this.
- Of course Bethany's first.
She's the best swimmer, too.
- Come on, Rob! - I'm trying.
Come on, Amy.
I was expecting Robbie or someone to come down a little bit quicker and I was like welling up with pride.
Like, yeah! Go, Bethany.
There you go.
- Catch up with him, Amy.
- I got it now.
This is awesome! - Sick.
- Come on, Amy.
- I'm trying.
- Hi, honeybun.
Great job.
Rob and Bethany are down and Amy is coming down.
Looking good, Amy! Phil: Kim and Alli.
New leaders in the race heading to the Detour.
Have fun, Phil.
Taxi! Come on, Alli.
- There they are.
- Tim, right here.
- Jog.
- Church of Saint Scholastica.
We think our Speed Bump is going to be at this church and we need to get over it with any lead that we have.
There you go, baby.
Good job, babe.
- Go, go, go.
- Let's go, Amy.
Come on, babe.
Keep going.
She is way up there.
Good job, babe.
- Come on, Amy! - Come on, Rob! Yeah.
Here she comes.
She's already coming back.
It's crazy.
Keep pushing, baby.
Bethany is like the Terminator.
She has one arm and she like destroys every challenge.
Her feet look like a propeller on a boat.
- Good job.
- Good job, Bethany.
- How is that possible? - That was so far.
Let's go, Amy! Come on, Rob! Let's do it.
Today was a great like encourager for me to like, "hey, don't let one arm stop you from conquering these Roadblocks".
Last stroke.
Swim hard.
Swim hard.
Rob was actually pretty far ahead of me but I was able to pass him getting the clue and got back to the boat first.
Wrestlers maybe just aren't swimmers.
Amy beat you swimming.
How is that possible? - I passed Rob swimming.
- Muscles can sink.
We got to go fast, guys.
As fast as you can.
Right there.
Wow.
Well hidden.
Flag or Shine? Phil: Teams will now blindly select which side of the Detour they will perform.
This Detour gives teams an opportunity to go back in time and test their skill or become a knight of Malta.
- No additional information.
- We get it when we get there.
We had to pick Flag or Shine and there was no explanation.
We just had to choose one.
It doesn't give us anything.
No ability to analyze and try to see which one we rather do.
Just had to kind of go based on instinct.
Wanna go to "Flag" and see what happens? Let's go.
Gostra is a Maltese game that dates back to the Middle Ages.
"Flag" requires teams to grab a flag at the end of a greasy pole.
Easier said than done.
One team member must grab a yellow flag and the other must grab a red flag.
Once both flags have been captured, they'll receive their next clue.
He's greasing it right now.
That's what he's doing.
- We got this.
- We got this, girl.
- We have balance.
- Ok.
- The girls are right there.
- They're all downstairs.
- Down there, I saw them.
- It is, it is, it is.
Alli, you can do this.
You're crushing it.
- You can do it.
- Go, girl.
You got it.
Go, girl.
You got it.
Just do it.
Don't think about it.
Just go.
You were so close.
I hate you for getting the yellow one.
I hate you for it.
- We have to do something on that.
- Watch them.
It's hard.
- Holy crap.
- Oh, man.
- We can do it.
We can do it.
- We have good balance.
Did you see Speed Bump? We went all the way down there and put on our gear.
But that's when I was like, "Wait, we didn't even go to a Detour decision point".
We feel like we are missing a paper.
But crap.
What happened? I was like, Tim, I think we've missed a clue or something.
We have to go back and get it.
So we did that and it took us a minute and we found that little tiny alley.
- And hello.
- Our Speed Bump is there.
Speed Bump.
Phil: This Speed Bump requires Tim and Te Jay to carefully paint the Maltese cross on a shield.
When the knight feels it has been perfectly painted, they can continue racing.
Paint the Maltese cross on two shields.
We'll be fine.
We'll be fine.
This is hard.
You're frantic and you're in race mode, and just not thinking clearly.
Then at some point, it's like "Oh, my God.
This is a Detour".
Where is the information about the other leg? Was it a Detour? It was a Detour but it didn't say anything else.
Let's go back and read that.
There is no other We're in big trouble.
I think it's a fatal mistake.
Theirs is different.
Should we have gone someplace else first? We never even got the other directions.
We just came here.
We never made it to the Detour decision point.
That's what we're doing wrong.
At least we know we don't want to do that Detour.
Dude, I'm so scared of heights.
Don't look down.
Just run and go.
You got it.
You don't wanna give up, go! Go.
You got this.
You got it.
You got it.
Just do it.
You don't leave the one with fear of heights to do the hard one.
That wasn't a good move, dude.
What do you want to do, switch? All right.
Let's go.
Let's go.
I'm sorry.
Don't be sorry, that was hard and I took the easy one.
- You think it's up here? - I don't know.
- Jim, did you find it? - No.
- No luck? - We'll be right back.
There's Maya and Amy.
- Guys, where do you go? - We don't know.
- Here it is, guys.
- There it is.
- Detour.
- Detour.
A little bit out of order.
"Flag" or "Shine".
For "Shine", make your way on foot to the Gate of Provence.
- We'll do "Shine" for now.
- "Shine".
For "Flag", follow the marked path.
That was the most impossible Detour ever.
Here.
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
- Hello.
- We can do it.
Go, go, Te Jay.
Quick.
Quick.
Right now we're trying to make the Maltese emblem.
Using the stencil cutouts.
And we're going to have to paint them red after.
- Oh, shoot.
- Your paint is dry already? - So sick of being last.
- Right there.
- What do you think? - We're doing the "Shine".
- Gate of Provence.
There it is.
- Perfect.
Phil: "Shine" requires teams to Polish each other off using this time-honored technique.
When the knight feels like they are knights in shining armor, he'll hand over their next clue.
You polish while we're wearing the armor.
Alli, you grab this or I just drop it.
This is going to be hard.
It's going to take forever.
Take the helmet.
Take the helmet.
I'm sorry.
This is going to be the longer Detour for sure.
Is this for real? Don't put so much pressure on my head, please.
I'm sorry.
You just got to deal with it, darling.
- Tell me if I'm hurting you.
- You're not.
This is ridiculous.
- Hello.
- Hello.
We have a handy thing on hand.
We want to the Express Pass on this Detour.
Oh, my gosh.
That looks nuts.
I wish we were doing that! That's really fun.
Make your way to your next Pit Stop.
Phil: Malta is strategically located in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea, making it the perfect military stronghold.
Known as Fortress Island, it is home to dozens of forts like this.
Built in the 18th century, Fort Manoel is now the Pit Stop of this leg of the race.
The last team to check in here may be eliminated.
So we need to get our taxi and go to Fort Manoel.
Awesome.
We're hoping there are two teams behind us.
The wrestlers we haven't seen and the candy girls.
And the Detour, that jumping off the pole, looks pretty like Te Jay and I can do it.
- We were already there.
- We were already suited up.
- Ready? - That looks good.
- Ta-da! Malta! - Malta! - He says yes.
- We're good.
Go! Thank you.
Detour.
We know which one we're going to try.
Here we go.
Watch out.
Let's do it.
There's one team behind us.
- This "Shine", what is this? - "Flag" or "Shine"? - Oh, my Lord.
- This is the "Flag".
- We got this.
- Ok.
- Candy girl.
- Ok.
Ready? We can do it.
I'm going to try to go for the red.
Yes! Go, babe.
Don't stop.
- You stopped, Tim.
- There's slime on it.
- Hurry.
- Oh, my God! - You first.
I can't run.
- You have to run.
- You have to run.
- Otherwise, you don't have a chance.
- Oh, my God.
- You can do it.
You can do it.
Jump and grab it.
Yes! Wait.
So I had to get red.
That's far.
I can't I can't I physically can't.
- You can't run? - No.
Not fast enough to stay on this pole.
You were just running.
We just ran here.
Don't say you can't.
Because I have a leg injury right now, I really I can run.
Enough.
For the race.
But I cannot sprint up a log covered in grease.
And it just I knew that it wasn't the Detour for us.
- I cannot run up that hill.
- We'll switch.
They're leaving and going to do the other one.
We have to switch.
She can't run up the pole.
This is horrible.
My mom used to make me polish our silverware when I was younger and it took forever.
And it wasn't rusty.
Is he going in circular motion? Can you tell me? It's like small back and forth like this.
- We polish teeth every day.
- Not anything like this.
No.
Not quite this aggressively.
If you were this rough, you wouldn't have any patients.
Yeah.
This is what makes people scared of dentists.
You want to switch? If you want to switch, we'll do it.
- What do you say? - I don't think we should.
They just got here, Kym.
We're so far behind.
We're actually not behind anyone.
We're in front of them and T&T.
- Don't care about anyone else.
- So we're in front of two teams.
We're in front of that team that just arrived.
- We gotta get it right, Amy.
- Yes.
Just look at that red flag and go for it.
It's a lot further than it looks in the yellow flag.
Ok.
You're wasting too much time stopping.
Red flag.
Red flag.
Red flag.
Red flag.
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes! Tim, you cannot stop.
You have to run.
Fort Manoel.
There's Phil.
Come on, baby.
Come on our mat.
- Hello.
- Welcome to Malta.
- What kind of bird is that? - This is Maltese falcon.
It is magnificent.
We use it for hunting.
Adam and Bethany, I'm very pleased to tell you, you are team number one.
Phil: You have each won $10,000.
Good job, honey.
Win or lose, being just newlyweds and adventuring the world with Adam has been incredible.
I'm very thankful for everything we get to do together.
- Good team, huh? - You must be very proud.
He's very proud of her.
Can't you tell? Look at his eyes.
We're in love.
Looking good.
We're hoping that whatever we're using has chemicals in it.
That are a bit acidic to help pull off some of the rust.
I think it's like polish and gold crown.
Go abrasive and medium and then fine.
- I think we're ready to judge.
- Oh, my God.
- He's crushing this, dude.
- We're real close.
Within five minutes.
We should be out of here.
This is awful.
This is one of the worst things I've ever done.
Stop being so negative about everything.
- Oh, God.
Shut up.
- You want to try the other one? Yes or no? Your call.
Make a decision.
Which do you want to do? Do you want to try it? Do you want to try the other Detour? I think maybe we could do it.
- What do you think? - Yes.
- You want to try? - Yes.
I kept asking and we could have left a minute ago, baby.
It's not that easy to make that decision.
- Brooke and Robbie left.
- Yes, it's not good.
Let's just judge and let them tell us what Judge? Thank you, thank you, thank you, sir.
Thank you.
Make your way to the next Pit Stop.
It's so far, Te Jay.
Pretend the red flag has a million dollars on it.
- Grab it.
- I can't.
God, you're being such a baby.
Someone is coming.
We can do it.
- Oh, you run.
- I tried like 20 times already.
I'm never going to be able to do that.
Yeah, you can.
We can try it.
And if we can't do it, we go back.
Great news to see one team come over here.
And that apparently all the other ones are still shining.
We're probably tied for last place right now.
But Tim's going to get this one.
He's going to grab that red flag.
And we're going to go on about our day like none of this happened.
Where do they come up with these sports? Ow! Oh, my ass.
Oh, my God.
I just broke my butt.
If that's possible.
That's my money maker.
I can't.
- Can I do it in these? - Yeah.
- You're giving up.
- The way you're talking to me, stop.
Just leave it alone.
Sit down and just be quiet.
Damn it.
- I'm over it.
- Great.
He tells me not to quit but then he quits.
We're never going to get that red one.
Perfect, they'll probably get red and we'll be last.
- Maybe they will.
- Whatever, let's go.
We gave it a try and wasted about 30 minutes.
Obviously these teams ahead of us are going to be done before us and we hope that Tim and Te Jay don't get that done.
Fabulous.
- We're still in it.
- Judge? More polish, please.
- This is ridiculous.
- This is awful.
You are looking so good.
So I'm thinking that we're in pretty good shape.
Judge? - You will need the sunglasses.
- Very shiny.
More polish, please.
- More polish? - Ok.
This one piece I can't get off right here.
Scrape it off with your fingernail.
- I got it.
I finally got it.
- Let's go.
- Thank you.
- Thank you.
The cyclists got it.
They're on their way out.
Misti and Jim.
You still haven't had to pull the Save out.
No! You are dentists in shining teeth.
We love it.
We'll take it.
- Can you hand me another rag? - Yes.
- Magnificent.
- Like a baby's bottom.
Judge? Knights in shining armor await.
- Yes.
- Good job.
Chest bump.
Chest bump.
Make your way to the next Pit Stop.
Hurry.
Let's go.
This part of "The Amazing Race" is not amazing.
Yes.
Yes.
Good speed.
- Yeah, babe.
- I can't! I know it's frustrating watching me.
It's frustrating for me times a thousand.
Go over there.
You're going to look back on this and like, oh! Fast, fast.
Lean forward.
Oh, my The only hope I have is that someone is just so darn stupid and slow at the other challenge if it's impossible like this one.
I don't know what to do.
We're so far behind now.
If we don't get this, then it's over for us.
I get it, we can't switch, it's too late.
We have to get this.
- Run.
Thinking too much.
- Stop yelling at me.
We're wasting time.
We can just go.
- I'm shaking now.
- I know.
Let's just go do the other one.
We're switching.
We're going to switch.
We're so far behind.
Hello, hello, hello.
You got four legs left of this race.
Feel good, feel confident? It's getting harder as the legs go on.
- Phil: They look tough to you, sir? - No.
Really? Phil: Can you show him your arms and maybe try to change his mind? Yeah? What do you think? You need some lessons from me.
More polish, please.
- On both? - Yes.
Enter over here.
They switched.
Oh, my God.
I cannot express to you how good this feels.
We'll see if this is going to turn out easier.
But we had no choice.
We have to do this.
The other one's impossible.
It's getting good now.
- Ow! Stupid.
- Sorry.
Oh, Phil.
- Amy and Maya.
- Yeah? Here she goes, sir.
She has so much energy.
So much energy that even though this leg is over, she decided to do some extra miles.
How many laps are you going to do? Just one.
And I cut the hills.
She did that jumping over a fence on Shetland Island and fall.
Is this a candy rush? What is this? This is the life rush.
I love life, Phil.
I absolutely adore it.
Love, Phil.
Oh, my gosh.
I love "The Amazing Race.
" - Ow.
- Sorry.
- What am I poking? - Ear.
- Sorry.
- It's tedious but it's possible.
Guys, you're let me just say first of all that your tans and outfits are looking great today.
Ok, hurry.
We can do it.
We can do it.
The wrestlers just finished so that would make us officially last.
We can beat them.
Scrub harder.
- Taxi.
- Taxi.
No, I'm waiting for someone.
No, no, very important.
I'll pay you more.
- I have the bags.
- What? I have their bags in my car.
- Another team? - Their backpacks.
- Tim and Te Jay.
- Oh, my God.
Endure the pain.
This is how I feel, I push through.
We always think if we have a chance, we never give up.
Te Jay just keep scrubbing as hard as he can.
Just keep going.
We need a taxi! Every time, a taxi.
I cannot take it anymore.
Watch us get last, because of this.
At this point, If we were to finish, our taxi is waiting for us.
And they would have to look for one.
And that's the only way that we can get ahead.
- They will be done in 15 minutes.
- Yep.
Can you guys please call us a taxi? Could you please tell them to hurry up? - They're going to come out any second.
- Ok.
And if they do, they do.
Thank you.
Taxi.
- Let's go.
- Fast, please.
As fast as you can.
- Sorry.
- They said we still have a chance.
Sir, as quick as you can go.
- What if they came right now? - We could be screwed.
It's not over until it's over.
Definitely not over until we're on the mat And they tell us we're eliminated.
- Welcome to Malta.
- Thank you.
- So where have you finished? - We're pretty sure we're fifth.
Why don't you just tell me with your pecs? One, two, three, four, five.
- Right? - That was six.
That extra one is for good luck.
That extra one is for you.
He used his arm.
That's the first time I've ever told a team what place they're in using my pecs.
Oh, my God.
Today is over.
We made it.
Phil: You guys are fighters.
You guys are fighters.
- Welcome to Malta.
- Thank you.
Phil: Tim and Te Jay, I am sorry to tell you that you are last team to arrive.
We are? Phil: And unfortunately, after eight legs of "The Amazing Race", you have been eliminated.
Ouch.
We definitely went further than our own expectations.
It's just going to be amazing stories to share with everyone back home.
Baby, I did it so fast! And my mom, I am just hoping she will see the craziness that we are as boyfriends and not as roommates.
And accept us as who we really are.
I think we did team purple proud.
Phil: I think you did, too.
Phil: Stay tuned for scenes from our next episode.
Next week on "The Amazing Race".
With the Double U-turn in play, the scientists feel the pain.
Adam and Bethany risk everything.
We could be committing race suicide.
While Jim fights to hang on.
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
