The biggest things that I've learned since I've been out here, and I tell a lot of newer guys this, is you can't take anything for face value.
Nine times out of ten, the way something comes out is completely different than what you find on scene, so as soon as you get there, you just got to talk to everybody and wait for the story to unfold.

But he kept on going, and that led to another, man.
Then he got to the point where he wanted to fight.
He didn't walk down the street, you know what I'm saying? He talking, he took my phone, took my keys, threw my keys, broke my phone.
Just got a $200 phone, and he broke it.

But he kept pushing his dad, so his dad didn't have a choice but to hit him back.

From what I can gather speaking with him, he said, "Man, I tried to give him every chance to get out of my face, to quit pushing me.
" He said, "He pushed me twice, rubbed his hand in my face three times.
" He said, "After that I had to do something.
He wasn't gonna stop.
" From what I understand as well, you know, he grabbed his son's phone and keys Threw it out in the middle of the road.
took off down the road.
He said he broke them.
Broke them on the side of the road and that got the son inflamed, you know, and his son goes up, starts talking smack to him.
That's when the dad starts pushing him, and the son, in retaliation, basically self-defense, to get his dad off of him.
I mean, you can see even us, we've had problems with this gentleman.

So I flip around to go out with him, and the second I go to get out the car door, he just starts taking off on the bike.

He cuts down 141st, and my partner's out the window like, "Hey, you're not getting away.
Stop.
This is ridiculous.
" And he looks back and goes, "I didn't do nothing.
" He a known guy that's been selling dope out here off his bike? No, he's just a guy who just happened to ride his bike without a light, and I just wanted to tell him to put a light on his bike, and it turned into this huge deal.

Well, plus he caught a new dope charge, so All right, well, hey, thanks for helping out.

So I kind of came up at the very last, and these other guys were actually chasing you-- how did this all start? Just that one dude.
That one was the only one that was able to keep up.
How'd it all start? Well, I've got like, a fear of cops ever since my mom flagged one of you guys down when I was a little kid and you guys fucking carried me off to my house.

You guys busted my front door and arrested my mom and my dad because they had a meth lab.
But what happened tonight? I got freaked out.
I found this bike down by the park, and I just got freaked out.
