-BRETT: Oh! Give me a second!
-No, you're right.
-Just asked for a second.
-All right.
-Let's go.
Last push. Push, push, push.
Ready? And pick up speed.
And there we go.
Thank you.
JONATHAN:
They didn't U-Turn anybody.
ANA:
They didn't U-Turn anybody.
We can't do it. Nah.
Interesting.
We choose not to U-Turn anyone.
JONATHAN:
Anyone. Oh, man.
"Snezha's Farm
to find your next clue."
Let's go, babe. To our car.
MARK:
They must have found the clue.
BRETT:
It's fine.
This is gonna be it.
-Ooh.
-Ooh, yeah, we got it.
We're almost there.
-MARK: We took
way more than we needed.
-BRETT: Ta-da! [whoops]
-Good job.
-Thank you.
Present for you.
"Make your way on foot
to the church."
ANA:
Ah. Parking.
JONATHAN:
When I first got to the Detour,
I got a little confused
as to where to park the car,
and I kind of went too far.
And so, I was, like
I parked the car
Let's go.
JONATHAN:
in a ditch.
-Not good.
-ANA: Can you reverse?
ANA:
Oh, my God.
We're stuck.
BRETT:
Oh, there it is.
-I see it.
-Hell yeah, babe.
-We choose not
to U-Turn anybody.
-Not U-Turning.
We'll let them fight it out.
Damn, people are gonna
be here all day.
-HOLDEN: I see a sign.
I see a sign.
-Yes, I see it.
I'm following the signs.
HOLDEN:
"Park in the designated area."
This is as designated
as it gets.
Try it, babe.
JONATHAN:
Nope. We're stuck.
I don't have enough traction.
-What do we do?
-JONATHAN:
I just can't win, man.
HAN:
Oh, my God, Jonathan and Ana
-are stuck in a ditch.
-MARK: Han and Holden
just showed up.
-JONATHAN:
I just can't win in this game.
-What's up, Ana?
We can't get our car
out of the mud.
-Oh, no.
-We'll help you
for a couple minutes
and then we'll go.
-HOLDEN: This is called
a bowline knot, okay?
-Okay.
HAN: How do you know this?
Leadership class from
You're so friggin' cool, Holden.
-[grunting]
-JONATHAN: I have no traction.
ANA:
As we're trying
to figure out how
to get the car out of the ditch,
other teams start to show up.
Oh. Oh, they're stuck.
Okay. Up ahead.
Here. Ready?
-ANA: This is terrible.
-MARK: Ready? One, two, three.
Go!
[grunting]
MARK:
I can't get it.
-JONATHAN: Hey,
you guys, just go.
-I'm sorry, guys. Come on, babe.
ANA:
Mark and Brett
helped us try to push the car
on their way out,
but they did pass us.
BRETT:
Belopoptsi. Let's find it.
MARK:
I feel so bad
for Jonathan and Ana.
ANA:
It sucks.
I don't know
what they're gonna do.
ANA:
Like, what do we do?
-We can't just sit here.
-JONATHAN: Oh, man.
Got stuck in the mud.
Just don't understand why things
are happening like this to us.
The locals started to come out
of their houses.
They were trying to help us.
So, they started
pulling branches,
uh, from the dead trees,
and they were sticking it
under the car.
ANA:
Oh, thank you guys so much.
JONATHAN:
It seemed like
they knew what they were doing,
so I was hopeful that maybe
that would work.
But it didn't.
ANA:
Oh, man, this sucks.
JONATHAN:
We're digging a deeper hole.
HAN:
I wonder how much
200 kilograms is.
ERIKA:
Do you want to do
this haystack first?
We might get lucky, and maybe
it's in this first one.
MELINDA:
Maybe we'll get the first one.
ERIKA:
Their car was pretty stuck,
so
MELINDA:
They were very stuck.
ANA:
Oh, my gosh.
[sniffling]
I cannot win, dude.
I don't know what else to do.
Some of the locals
tried helping us.
Um, Mark and Brett tried helping
us, and it's not working.
What else can we do?
I guess that's the end.
ANA:
It sucks.
[Jonathan groans]
-JONATHAN: Oh, man.
-ANA: Oh, my God.
We're stuck.
We tried the piece of wood,
babe, we did the branches.
-What else can we do?
-I don't know what else
to do, babe.
ANA:
We're usually very resourceful,
and we're good
at figuring things out.
So not being able to figure out
how to get the car out
of the ditch
was frustrating and deflating.
And then Mike and Nick arrive.
NICK:
Jonathan and Ana were stuck
in the mud there.
So, we know
we're in the very back
of the pack now.
-[Ana sighing]
-JONATHAN: Oh, man.
ANA:
I don't know what to do.
JONATHAN:
We're stuck pretty good.
-HOLDEN: Okay.
Come on, let's go.
-HAN: This is the cross street.
HOLDEN:
So turn right
at the cross street.
HAN:
Yeah. Holden, I need a break.
-JONATHAN: Oh, a tow.
-MAN: Yes.
JONATHAN:
Wow. I see. I see.
ANA:
Oh. Oh, my gosh.
That's wonderful.
JONATHAN:
Okay, cool, cool.
We're making progress.
But then, a very wise
local had the idea
to hook a rope to our car
and pull it back on the road.
Wow.
Oh, yes. Yes. Yes.
JONATHAN:
You got it. Yeah.
Thank you guys.
HAN:
Looks like Ana
and Jonathan make it out.
-Come on, you got it.
-I know, I know.
-We're literally really close.
-HAN: I know.
I need you to push as hard
as you can all the way through.
Nice. You're doing great.
There you go.
HAN:
Pacing ourselves
is gonna be important.
HOLDEN:
I agree.
HAN: Bulgaria loves
its wheelbarrows, man.
-ANA: Okay.
-JONATHAN: Have you identified
-on the map where we're going?
-ANA: We got to go west.
-Oh, that was so stressful.
-Ay-yai-yai.
Lord, please help us
find this bracelet.
-Slow and steady.
-We're just praying that
that we don't miss it
and have to go back
and search through anything.
But we might be here
for a while.
Oh, Nick and Mike are there.
They're doing the physical.
MELINDA:
Well, of course.
ERIKA: The physical might have
been easier on this one.
MIKE:
So I guess we just fill up this
and that and get going.
NICK:
Okay.
Hello.
-Please.
-HOLDEN: okay.
My forearms are burning.
Okay, you're done.
[Han sighs heavily]
[panting]
Okay.
HOLDEN:
I believe in us.
We chose Woodstack just because
we didn't want
-to have to search
for a Needle in a Haystack
-Ow.
HOLDEN: And so we decided
that we were gonna
stick to our guns, man. Um
HAN:
We don't know how long
the Needle in the Haystack
challenge would take.
And it was It's brutal.
It was awful.
HAN:
My forearms will
double in size by tomorrow.
Seventy.
-It's not enough.
-HOLDEN: Seventy-one.
-Much more.
-HOLDEN: All right, let's move.
MELINDA:
Oh, I was hoping
it would be in this one.
ERIKA: Ew. Oh, frick!
-What?
That's a dead gecko.
-Ooh. Ooh. Okay.
-Oh, my gosh.
-MELINDA: Throw it away.
-Gross.
Just gonna toss him aside.
-Man.
-Good thing I have gloves on.
MELINDA:
We found something
even better than a bracelet.
ERIKA:
Ew. Ugh. This is gnarly.
-Good?
-HOLDEN:
Oh, here's Nick and Mike.
NICK:
We're coming for you.
-You guys done? You finished?
-No.
-How many trips you take?
-I think it's gonna
take us three.
Come on, you got it.
Going from the back
to the front.
JACK:
Burgas! Oh, my God.
-Burgas on the right.
-CARSON: At least when you're
three hours behind and you're--
you know you're
on the right road,
at least you got some light
at the end of the tunnel.
-Right.
-A little bit.
JACK:
Not too long now.
We're looking for a farm,
so, just
-keep your eyes peeled.
-There it is.
ALYSSA [singsongy]:
Snezha's Farm.
[woman singing in Bulgarian]
JOSIAH:
All gas, no brakes.
Humans have been looking
for the secret to extend life
since the beginning of time.
One of the answers
might be Bulgarian yogurt.
Here, in a land where there's a
high percentage of centenarians,
Bulgarian yogurt
is a food favorite,
eaten by Nevenka herself, 102.
She has a bowl of it every day.
Something teams must do
to complete this Roadblock.
But first, they need
to provide the key ingredient
by milking a sheep.
Once they've handed over
half a liter,
they'll get a clue.
Congratulations.
ALYSSA: I'm gonna do it.
I'm ready to fill her up.
-"Milk a sheep"! Yeah!
-That's so awesome!
-She's gonna love this.
-Let's go!
I absolutely love animals
and I love being outside,
and a farm is, like,
a dream of mine.
Hello! Hello, sheep.
[speaking Bulgarian]
You'll show me how?
They taught me how to milk her.
Okay. Okay.
Okay, here we go.
I'm just gonna go like this.
-[sheep bleats]
-Oh.
You're so cute.
It's, like, only a little bit,
but I think
I got the technique down.
-[bleating]
-Oh, baby.
Earning that farm, babe.
You're earning that farm.
Oh, I'm starting
to get a lot more now.
-[bleating]
-So, the technique is
you can feel all the milk
up here
in, like, the base of her udder.
And then you kind of just gently
fill the nipple part
and then pull down the nipple.
I'm in Bulgaria
milking a sheep on a farm
and we're in first place.
ERIKA:
I'm just digging through
a little bit quicker now.
MELINDA:
I mean, I just don't want
to miss it
in one of these hunks.
Completely agree. We don't
want to be out here forever
'cause we missed it.
This is not enjoyable.
This could be
the best decision we made
or the worst decision
we've made.
NICK:
Let's go, baby. Let's go.
MIKE:
I put too much wood.
-It's killing me.
-We're almost there.
MIKE:
We are strong,
but to have to make that trip
all the way
to the scale, carrying
200 kilos of wood--
I honestly thought,
"Okay, this is gonna be tough,"
because my asthma and the heat
just, like,
gets the best of me sometimes.
-MIKE: Hold on.
-Where's your pump? Take it.
-I did already.
-You got it, Mike.
-We're right there, bro.
-One sec.
NICK:
That's it.
MIKE:
But like Popeye
eating his spinach,
I did my two puffs. [laughs]
NICK:
Let's make up some time.
Paisano!
Eighty-six, 88.
Let's go, baby.
Ooh! 91. That's it?
No.
98.5.
-Okay.
-NICK: Okay, let's catch up!
Yeah, let's go. Thank you.
Yeah, we'll be back.
We'll be right back.
MIKE:
Just under 100 kilos.
NICK: One more load.
We should be able to do this.
-Okay.
-Ooh, okay.
-[Han groans]
-[Holden sighs]
My forearms are cramping.
I'm sorry.
Okay, mama.
I think I have a lot here, so
We kind of do this
in Philadelphia, too.
Except instead of a sheep
it's a keg,
and instead of milk it's beer.
Okay. I'll be right back. Okay.
I think this could be
half a liter.
Hello!
Hi. How are you?
A 102-year-old great-grandmother
of the farm was there.
She was the cutest lady ever.
Oh. Might be enough.
Okay.
Okay. It's good.
Yay! Okay, great.
[laughs]
Thank you so much.
Actually got it
on my first check.
I was just so thrilled
with that.
You have to eat all of this.
Oh, my gosh. Okay, great.
And then
I got to eat Bulgarian yogurt.
I'm eating Bulgarian yogurt.
She doesn't look 102.
-WOMAN: Yes, she is.
-Wow.
So delicious. I wish
I could have this at home.
-Okay, perfect.
-Thank you.
-And congratulations.
-Thank you so much.
Thank you so much.
-Bye.
-WOMAN: Bye-bye.
-Voulez-vous?!Yes!
-Yes, babe! Good job!
I had to eat a whole bunch
of yogurt and it was so good.
KEOGHAN:
The village of Elin Pelin,
named after a famous
Bulgarian author,
will serve as the Pit Stop
for this leg of the race.
The last team to check in here
will be eliminated.
ALYSSA:
That was so cool!
-ERIKA: I don't see it.
-MELINDA: Doesn't help
-that I don't see well.
-ERIKA: It's not in any of that.
Okay, let's just start
on the next one.
MELINDA:
Yeah.
-[Melinda sighs]
-Okay.
Let's hope it's in this one.
MELINDA:
This has taken
a toll on me, a little bit.
HAN:
Damn, this is tough.
[sighs]
Forearms want to die.
-Seventy-seven.
-So, 71 and 77.
That means we're at 148.
We need 52 more.
-Final push, Holden.
-Go back for more.
-One more round, Holden.
Let's do it.
-Let's go.
HAN [singsongy]:
Let's go, Han and Holden.
Melinda and Erika
are still out there looking.
You want
to fit any more in there?
-No, you're good, bro.
-All right, let's go.
-Let's move.
-All right,
this has got to be it.
Let's make it happen.
This is our last one.
Two and done, baby.
I'm sweating like crazy.
JACK:
Okay, what about this?
This is looking
like a village to me.
There it is,
and no cars are here. Rats.
-JACK: Oh, well.
-Shoot.
-Hello.
-All right.
-JACK: Let's get these apples.
-CARSON: Oh.
-JACK:
And you got to grab those.
-Oh. Okay, I got 'em.
-[bleating]
-No. The goats want 'em.
Oh, my God! No! No!
[upbeat music playing]
-What the
-Wow!
[whooping]
Whoa!
Hey!
-Whoa!
-Whoa!
Wow.
Are we good?
-Thank you.
-Thank you.
"Who's ready to fill her up?"
It's gonna be me.
-Okay, sure.
-We'll just mix it.
You know what I mean?
"Who what's to fill her up?" So,
I was like, "Oh, maybe gasoline
-or something." I don't know.
-Or a hole or whatever. Yeah.
Or a hole, yeah. That's it.
So, I was like,
"I'll do it."
Milk? Oh, my God.
My desire is to pass away
from this life
without ever having
to touch an udder.
Damn it, babe. The one thing
I didn't want to do is milk.
But I don't have a choice now.
I d-I don't have a choice.
All right, babe, you got it.
-[bleating]
-Sorry, buddy.
[whispering]: He can't
He doesn't want to do it.
It went down, but I'm not
getting anything out.
-[bleating]
-BRETT: Take your time.
And don't be afraid.
We got milk.
-We got milk. [whoops]
-Somewhat.
But we got milk.
Good boy or girl.
Whatever you are.
You're a girl to me, okay?
Yeah, babe. Slow and steady.
So, I'm gonna just check this,
and then see
how much more I need.
[Nevenka speaks Bulgarian]
Okay, let's see.
MARK:
Oh, my gosh.
Oh, no. You have to go back.
-[laughs softly]
-Okay.
I'm gonna have
to do a better job.
Oh, I just want to itch my face.
Oh.
[Erika panting]
-Gosh. Okay.
-Itch, itch, itch.
MELINDA:
I don't know. [grunts]
I know.
This is, like, my nightmare.
-MELINDA: It's okay.
-Literally my nightmare.
-We need 102 on that scale
to hit 200.
-Oh, yeah.
101.5, to be exact.
-NICK: What do we got?
-100.5.
Come on. That's insane.
NICK:
We were
one kilo away.
One more kilo! Go back!
-Oh, man.
-Let's go, Mike.
MIKE:
Which was literally just
a few more pieces of wood.
So,
that was pretty devastating.
NICK:
This is brutal.
MIKE:
But, you know,
the whole race, we've had
one motto, which is,
"Focus on what
you can control
and forget the rest."
And we still were able
to pass Han and Holden.
-We got this, bro.
-Oh, yeah.
MELINDA:
Makes me a little nervous
that we haven't seen her yet.
Han and Holden and Nick and Mike
are still there.
MELINDA:
Okay. I don't see it.
[grunts]
I'm beginning to think
we missed it.
ERIKA:
That would be
really unfortunate.
-[sighs]
-This is not fun.
Okay. Good job.
-MIKE: Good? We're good.
-Please.
-[whoops]
-Let's go, Mike. Come on.
Thank you, my friend.
-Thank you very much.
-MIKE: "Double U-Turn ahead."
Oh, my God.
-Let's go.
MELINDA:
Can't do any more than we are.
I don't know.
-I got it!
-You got it? Yes, Mom!
-Where do we go?
-Great job.
Go bring it
to the farmer right there.
Nice job, Mom, nice job.
Hi. Thank you.
-Thank you. Thank you.
-[speaking Bulgarian]
-Thank you.
"Caution. Double U-Turn ahead."
All right, we got to go.
Are Han and Holden done?
I think they're done.
Nick and Mike were
the only ones behind us.
We got to U-Turn 'em.
HOLDEN:
All right, we're good.
HAN:
Yeah, we're good. Is that 52?
Yeah, but let's just
put all of these down.
MAN:
Good job.
-HOLDEN: Good.
-Present for you.
-HOLDEN: Thank you.
-HAN: Thank you, sir.
"Caution. Double U-Turn ahead."
Okay, let's go.
Nick and Mike are still right
there. We got to rush 'em to it.
-Where's the church?
-Got to beat 'em to it, Mom.
-Looks like they got it, Mike.
-See a church anywhere?
No.
MIKE: The clue said,
"Caution. Double U-Turn ahead."
And Melinda
and Erika had just finished
the hay challenge,
so we saw them,
maybe 20 seconds ahead of us.
-We have to
do Nick and Mike, okay?
-I know that.
ERIKA:
Don't tell them that's ahead.
But at that point, we had done
a super physical challenge,
so I was just really dead tired.
ERIKA:
We got to U-Turn 'em.
MIKE: But then we quickly
realized they were really
sprinting down the path
towards the church.
And I'm like,
"Nick, we got to go right now."
-MIKE: It's a footrace.
-MELINDA: I can't run.
-You don't have to run.
-I'm sorry.
NICK:
Let's go, let's beat them
in a footrace.
They're walking
in front of us, Mike. Let's go.
MIKE:
Doing the best I can right now.
-MELINDA: My knee hurts,
and it's bad.
-Hurts?
-I don't want you
-I got to do the best I can.
-I can't have them outrun me.
-Here it is, Mike.
Let's go.
We got to move. Come on.
-There it is. I see it.
-Yup. Bell tower.
ERIKA:
It's right there.
We're almost there.
NICK:
Go, go, go.
ERIKA: Nick and Mike's the only
team we know for sure behind us.
MELINDA:
We have to.
We don't have a choice.
-You want to do it?
-We have to.
We're both really competitive.
-NICK: Mike, let's go!
-ERIKA: But when we're at home,
I'm definitely more
of the super cutthroat one.
-Nick and Mike, I'm so sorry.
-Do it.
ERIKA:
And then, she's like,
"Do it," and it's just
-Wasn't quite that drastic.
-not Eh.
It's do or die.
What are you gonna do?
We don't have a choice.
ERIKA: I know. So sorry.
They would have done
the same thing to us.
There's three behind us.
Sorry, you guys. We thought
you were the only team.
-BOTH: I'm so sorry.
-All good.
ERIKA: As soon as I looked
in the clue box and saw that
-there was additional clues,
I regretted it instantly.
-Yeah.
-Who's behind us?
-ERIKA: We don't know.
Han and Holden.
I feel so bad now.
I feel so bad.
I feel so bad, you guys.
We choose to U-Turn
Han and Holden. All right.
-Let's go.
-ERIKA: I'm so sorry, you guys.
MIKE:
Even though we saw them running
towards the church,
it was very surprising
when we got to that board
and we saw Melinda and Erika
had U-Turned us.
We got to do the other side.
I just didn't see the reason.
-I feel so bad.
-I feel so bad.
-MELINDA: We messed up.
-That's okay.
HOLDEN:
All right, here's Nick and Mike.
-Do you think
they U-Turned us?
-No.
HAN:
As we were running
to the board,
Nick and Mike were running back,
and I was like,
"They must have
gotten U-Turned."
-NICK: We both got U-Turned.
-HAN: What?
We both had
to U-Turn each other.
They U-Turned us,
we had to U-Turn.
-You U-Turned us?
-BOTH: We had to.
That sucks.
HAN:
And then they told us that
they U-Turned us, so
that really sucked.
-They U-Turned us.
-All right, we're U-Turned.
Let's go. Let's move.
NICK:
These three right in the middle,
right here?
One, two, three, right?
Let's go.
Remember, we're looking
for yellow and red.
Cannot believe they U-Turned us.
JACK:
No matter what,
we've seen some cool things.
CARSON:
True.
So, I'm
feeling a little happier,
a little perkier.
Yeah, definitely there's nothing
like a hair dance
to get you get you going.
Look at that.
You're a farmer now.
What I have learned is
that I don't have a problem
milking something.
I thought I always would.
[quietly]: That's the kind of
cool part about the race.
Damn. I'm good at this.
[singsongy]:
She's ready.
She's a little milkmaid.
Look at her.
-MARK: I am a milkmaid.
-[laughs]
Okay.
-Now I think he's good. Yes.
-Yes!
[woman chuckles]
Okay. Uh, you have to eat
all of this.
-I have to eat all of it?
-Yes.
I will. Thank you so much.
-Ah.
-[woman laughs]
MARK:
Getting to sit in that moment
and not race,
just enjoy this fresh
sheep yogurt
-On this hill,
beautiful green
-on this hill,
with this woman--
that was probably
my favorite moment of the day
and one of my favorite moments
of this race.
-And congratulations.
-Thank you very much.
You're welcome. Have good luck.
Thank you.
-"Race to the Pit Stop."
Let's go.
-Let's do this.
-"Ready to fill her up."
-Let's go. Let's go.
-Okay.
-Here we go. This is exciting.
-Let's see. "Milk a sheep
-"Milk"
-Oh, that is so cool.
-"for a farmer
who makes Bulgarian yogurt."
JONATHAN:
Aw.
Got it. Let me try.
JONATHAN:
Whatever you do,
do not tip over that pot.
[gasps]
I heard it!
I saw the wrangler
start at the top,
and then you massage
all the way down.
I'm gonna call her Maggie.
How many babies
do you have, Maggie?
Thank you
for sharing your milk with us.
You got the technique.
I hear it.
Is there any way
you can do it faster?
ANA:
No.
Man.
Can't believe
we got passed by two teams.
[Alyssa laughs]
Welcome to the mat.
Welcome to Sofia, Bulgaria.
-Thank you so much.
-Thank you so much.
Thank you. Thank you.
-ALYSSA: It's so beautiful.
-KEOGHAN: Allyssa and Josiah,
I am pleased to tell you,
after seven legs
of The Amazing Race,
you are team number one.
Yes. Yes!
KEOGHAN: And I do have
some great news for you.
As the winners
of this leg of the race,
you have OneKeyCash
from Expedia,
and you are going to
-Marrakech, Morocco.
-Oh!
-Oh, my God!
That's so cool.
KEOGHAN:

-What?
-This is so cool.
I always say,
"pride comes before the fall,"
but we deserve a little bit
of time
to feel really proud
of ourselves.
We've been chasing
that first-place spot
ever since Hong Kong.
I didn't think
the first self-driving leg
was gonna be when we got it.
We were so nervous for this.
So I'm just really proud
of us today.
NICK:
Come on.
-Come find us.
-HAN: All right, Holden.
-Let's compose.
-HOLDEN: Yup.
-Game's not over.
-I agree.
I think we have better
attention to detail than them.
MIKE:
Let's go, bro. We got this.
Let's keep playing.
NICK:
Looks like we're in this
with Han and Holden now.
Once again,
we're right on the brink.
MIKE:
You got to comb through it, bro.
-You combing?
-Yeah. Sure.
-HOLDEN: Okay, let's start.
-[Han sighs]
HAN:
I'm gonna get a rash from this.
HOLDEN:
U-Turning sucks, man.
HAN:
I'm kind of annoyed.
I understand, but annoyed.
HOLDEN:
You take that side,
I'm gonna take the back side.
HAN:
This just sucks.
Excuse me.
Excuse me.
Do you know where Belopoptsi?
Oh, that's not around here?
Wrong direction?
MELINDA: We're the wrong way?
-Okay. Thank you so much.
-Thank you so much.
CARSON:
This is probably
other teams' dream right now.
-JACK: Yes.
-Of us being lost.
-Yes. Absolutely.
-At the moment.
Although we're not lost. I would
not say we're lost anymore.
BOTH:
But we're not found.
[laughing]
-We are not found.
-No.
This thing's not here.
I say we move.
Let's go.
-Ah, man.
-NICK: This is our
second haystack.
Hopefully, we don't
got to go to three.
HAN:
Do you think
we should move faster?
HOLDEN:
We're good. Shaking it out
is our only hope.
ANA:
I definitely don't want
to come back and do this again.
So I'm gonna see if I can just
get enough for a little extra.
Okay. Let me try.
Grandma?
Hi.
Oh.
-Perfect.
-Oh! All right!
Yes!
Did she get it?
Cheers, Grandma.
-Yes!
-Perfect. And congratulations.
Thank you so much.
Thank you, Grandma.
[laughs] All right.
Babe, we did it.
-NICK: Where are you, bracelet?
-MIKE: This is awful.
NICK:
The last pile,
so hopefully we can find it.
Come on.
[sighs]
HAN:
This is brutal.
Looks like Han and Holden
are still on their first one.
-We're gonna find this bracelet.
-Yeah, we are.
Be one with the hay.
HOLDEN:
Yeah, so far,
they haven't found it yet,
we haven't found it yet.
NICK:
Feel pretty exhausted right now.
I'm in Terminator mode.
MIKE:
Just keep fighting.
HAN:
With this Detour,
it was really a practice of
patience.
-Don't do that!
-Why? It comes out.
No, it doesn't, bro.
Why do you do that?
Just be patient.
HAN:
And I think that, like,
our attention to detail
is better than Nick and Mike's.
Just shake it out like this.
It comes right right apart.
[Nick groans]
They went through
three haystacks
so fast.
We are down
to our last haystack,
so hopefully, we find it
in this bottom pile.
HAN:
Oh, it isn't here.
-I think we should do
the next pile.
-Yeah.
-Okay, come on, Holden.
-Worst Detour ever.
HAN:
Pretty sure
we're fighting for last place.
At this point, yeah.
HAN:
Maybe teams got lost.
CARSON:
Okay, to the library.
We got to find it in here?
It would have to be a big book
to fit a clue, don't you think?
CARSON:
Maybe, yeah.
Well, well, well.
-Oh, here. Right here.
All right.
-What?!
Needle in a Haystack knowing
we're last is probably
I know, but it-it
What if we get it immediately?
-Sure. Sure.
-We could make up a lot of time.
CARSON:
We got to find it.
-It's unfortunate, but
-Keep fighting.
We've seen teams survive
a U-Turn before.
MIKE:
It's not here.
We had to have missed it.
Oh, man.
We took down all three haystacks
and didn't find the bracelet.
And that's when we realized,
"Okay,
"there's a high probability
"that we pulled the hay
off the stack,
"put it to the ground,
and it was stuck
somewhere in the middle
of that piece of hay."
Come on.
NICK: It was
a pretty devastating moment
because that meant
we were now gonna have
to go through all the hay
from scratch again.
[grunts]
-I know, bro.
-[sighs]
[singsongy]:
Where are you?
Don't give up.
-Oh, I found it.
-MIKE: They got it, Nick.
God, this sucks.
We're the last team again?
-[man speaks Bulgarian]
-HOLDEN: Thank you,
-thank you, thank you.
-Thank you, thank you,
thank you.
-We already know what it says.
-We know it.
-We know where we need to go.
-Good job, Holden.
-Never back down, never what?
-Never quit!
-[groans]
-Just gonna keep fighting.
I don't know what else to do.
NICK:
Let's flatten
this whole section out.
MIKE:
This is insane.
-BRETT: Just gorgeous.
-[whoops]
Welcome to Sofia, Bulgaria.
-Thank you.
-Thank you so much. Thank you.
I'm pleased to tell you
that you're team number two.
Yes.
"Snezha's Farm
to find your next clue."
HOLDEN: Come on, let's go.
We're not done yet!
MIKE:
This is crazy.
NICK:
Yeah. Got to just
keep moving, though.
Bro, that's not checking.
That's why
we probably missed it.
You got to sift through it.
Oh, boy.
-JONATHAN: Yeah, baby. Ah.
-ANA: Ah!
-Oh, my God.
-[whoops]
welcome to Sofia, Bulgaria.
-Thank you.
Thank you for having us.
-Thank you.
You are once again
on the podium.
You are team number three.
Congratulations.
-Yes!
-We'll take it.
I know when you first came
into the race,
particularly when things
didn't go your way,
you were extremely hard
on yourself
-and-and your-your team.
-Yeah. Yeah.
What's the most important thing
you feel like
you've learned on this race?
JONATHAN:
If I could learn to become
more resilient and to,
uh, stay confident, uh, through
adversity and through the lows,
I think we could maybe
have a good shot at winning.
ERIKA:
We went in the wrong direction,
which We at least
kept asking, but we knew.
Maybe this will lead
to our demise, and we shouldn't
have done the U-Turn
and this is our karma.
Holden's gonna do it.
Oh, my. Geez.
I have never
milked a sheep before.
It was not as easy as it looked,
because, like, I didn't know
where, like, the squirt hole
was coming from.
[groaning]
His hands are all milked.
I literally sprayed my glasses.
My shirt is stained
with sheep milk.
Because, like, yeah,
I couldn't control it.
We've got about half a liter
definitely, but
[sighs]:
Oh.
-[bleating]
-You're doing amazing, Holden!
Oh, my God.
Exhausted. I'm not really sure
what else to do.
This is just turning
into an impossible task.
-[sighs]
-NICK: Keep searching.
MIKE:
It's getting hotter and hotter
-and hotter.
-Come on, Mike. Don't give up.
We're probably, like,
three hours behind.
-This is gonna be tough.
-[laughs softly]
Maybe Needle in a Haystack
took other teams hours.
NICK:
Don't give up.
This race is unpredictable,
and anything is possible.
Okay, this looks
like marked parking.
-JACK: Oh, my God. Do you think?
-CARSON: No way.
MIKE:
I don't know how much longer
I can do it, bro.
Been at this for hours.
At what point do
we take a penalty?
-JACK: Do you think so?
-I just like holding out hope.
-Maybe it is.
-Yeah, maybe.
MIKE:
Would you consider it or no?
Go out on our terms?
-MIKE: We're gonna keep going?
-NICK: What else is there to do?
It's really hot, bro.
I'm about to, like, pass out.
We've been at this for hours.
It's not even
about giving up at this point.
It's about just, like,
what are we gonna do?
There's another team.
-Oh, look.
-What?
-There are people here.
-JACK: I can't believe it.
-Right there.
-JACK: It's Nick and Mike.
-MIKE: They just got here?
-Yeah.
-I can't believe it, Jack.
-What?
-NICK: Let's go.
Doesn't even make sense. I guess
they must have gotten lost.
CARSON: We're still in it, Jack.
A million dollars.
Let's do it. [whoops]
-[Jack laughs]
-There are people here, Jack.
Whoa. Okay, Car.
Nick and Mike were in a field
-Let's do it.
-sifting through a bunch of hay.
Looks like they're coming
to the haystacks.
Come on, Mike.
Let's get it.
-Hope is still alive.
-JACK: We
-were floored.
-Ah!♪
JACK:
When I tell you,
I was completely stunned.
It made no sense.
It actually made no sense.
-Yeah.
-They were
-three hours ahead of us.
-CARSON: Hey, dudes.
-What's up, guys?
-What's up, guys?
CARSON:
How are you?
-JACK: There's always hope.
-CARSON: Yup. Just a little bit
-of luck.
-Just a little bit of luck.
JACK:
Initially, my instinct was
that we should try for Haystack
because it could take forever,
but it could take 30 seconds.
CARSON:
Their haystacks are gone.
JACK:
Do you want to try
and do the different one?
-They're tired from doing this.
-[Jack sighs]
-Do you want to switch?
I mean
-What do you think?
JACK:
But then we realized,
Nick and Mike were
living a life I did not
-want to live.
-MIKE: Oh, my God.
-NICK: Don't give up, Mike.
-CARSON: I think we do it.
-JACK: Let's do it.
-CARSON: I think we do it.
-Yeah. Okay, let's go quick.
CARSON:
We're gonna switch.
We saw our futures
in Nick and Mike.
Looks like they're switching.
Smart move on their part.
CARSON:
And we realized we could
go to the other Detour
and make progress.
It seems like
they are completely lost.
Let's go, Jack.
And know that
slowly and surely,
we're heading
towards a finish line.
NICK:
I wish we could just do
another 200 pounds.
MIKE:
I would do another 800 pounds.
-CARSON: Go forward, Jack.
-You think?
CARSON:
Yeah. Come on!
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
Oh, gosh.
Okay.
Come on, Jack.
[sighs, groans]
CARSON:
You got this, Jack.
Where is your
102-year-old mother?
Now we will see. [laughs]
Okay. That's perfect.
Now you have
to eat all of this.
All of it?
-Yes.

Can I wash my hands first?
Oh. Uh one moment.
I have, like, poop.
This is so awesome.
That's enough. Thank you.
-And congratulations.
-Yeah. Thank you.
Han, let's go.
-Yes! Slay.

You got milk on your
I don't want
to know what that is.
-You want to do it?
-Guess it's me.
-Do you want to? Okay.
-We don't have a choice.
Okay.
Oh, I'm sorry.
I'm getting milk, Erika!
Nice job, Mom!
You got it. Nice job.
-Keep it up, keep it up.
-Oh, where you going, girl?
Where are you going,
honey bunny?
I need you. I need you.
You can't go anywhere.
MELINDA:
Baa.
I don't know how much
a half a liter is.
It was so painful
U-Turning Nick and Mike.
We feel horrible and we really
like Nick and Mike.
Let's hope they survive it.
CARSON:
You got this, you got this.
Push through, push through.
You got this. You're amazing.
-You're amazing. Come on.
-Where is it?
-It's down here.
Come on. We got it.
-Oh.
I don't know if I can do this.
Jack, I'm carrying this
the whole time.
My back is killing me.
CARSON:
It was so, so taxing,
physically,
trying to get this wood
down the street.
We're the heroes.
Sam and Frodo.
You got this.
-Come on, Jack. You got this.
-[groans]
You got this!
I kept thinking back
to me 45 minutes ago,
so defeated,
and what that Carson would give
to have some
sliver of a chance
to stay in this game.
-JACK: So, 65.5.
-Go for more.
CARSON:
65.5.
Let's do it in two more.
It's gonna be the hardest
we've ever worked,
and we're gonna win
a million dollars, Jack.
They're still here.
Great news.
MIKE:
Oh, man. My legs feel like
they're gonna collapse.
I'm literally
gonna pass out, bro.
-NICK: We're still alive, bro.
-I'm gonna pass out.
-MIKE: I'm gonna pass out.

they finished their first trip.
Probably got another two

So, 150.
We can do it one more.

JONATHAN:
It seemed like
they knew what they were doing,
so I was hopeful that maybe
that would work.
But it didn't.
ANA:
Oh, man, this sucks.
JONATHAN:
We're digging a deeper hole.
HAN:
I wonder how much
200 kilograms is.
ERIKA:
Do you want to do
this haystack first?
We might get lucky, and maybe
it's in this first one.
MELINDA:
Maybe we'll get the first one.
ERIKA:
Their car was pretty stuck,
so
MELINDA:
They were very stuck.
ANA:
Oh, my gosh.
[sniffling]
I cannot win, dude.
I don't know what else to do.
Some of the locals
tried helping us.
Um, Mark and Brett tried helping
us, and it's not working.
What else can we do?
I guess that's the end.
ANA:
It sucks.
[Jonathan groans]
-JONATHAN: Oh, man.
-ANA: Oh, my God.
We're stuck.
We tried the piece of wood,
babe, we did the branches.
-What else can we do?
-I don't know what else
to do, babe.
ANA:
We're usually very resourceful,
and we're good
at figuring things out.
So not being able to figure out
how to get the car out
of the ditch
was frustrating and deflating.
And then Mike and Nick arrive.
NICK:
Jonathan and Ana were stuck
in the mud there.
So, we know
we're in the very back
of the pack now.
-[Ana sighing]
-JONATHAN: Oh, man.
ANA:
I don't know what to do.
JONATHAN:
We're stuck pretty good.
-HOLDEN: Okay.
Come on, let's go.
-HAN: This is the cross street.
HOLDEN:
So turn right
at the cross street.
HAN:
Yeah. Holden, I need a break.
-JONATHAN: Oh, a tow.
-MAN: Yes.
JONATHAN:
Wow. I see. I see.
ANA:
Oh. Oh, my gosh.
That's wonderful.
JONATHAN:
Okay, cool, cool.
We're making progress.
But then, a very wise
local had the idea
to hook a rope to our car
and pull it back on the road.
Wow.
Oh, yes. Yes. Yes.
JONATHAN:
You got it. Yeah.
Thank you guys.
HAN:
Looks like Ana
and Jonathan make it out.
-Come on, you got it.
-I know, I know.
-We're literally really close.
-HAN: I know.
I need you to push as hard
as you can all the way through.
Nice. You're doing great.
There you go.
HAN:
Pacing ourselves
is gonna be important.
HOLDEN:
I agree.
HAN: Bulgaria loves
its wheelbarrows, man.
-ANA: Okay.
-JONATHAN: Have you identified
-on the map where we're going?
-ANA: We got to go west.
-Oh, that was so stressful.
-Ay-yai-yai.
Lord, please help us
find this bracelet.
-Slow and steady.
-We're just praying that
that we don't miss it
and have to go back
and search through anything.
But we might be here
for a while.
Oh, Nick and Mike are there.
They're doing the physical.
MELINDA:
Well, of course.
ERIKA: The physical might have
been easier on this one.
MIKE:
So I guess we just fill up this
and that and get going.
NICK:
Okay.
Hello.
-Please.
-HOLDEN: okay.
My forearms are burning.
Okay, you're done.
[Han sighs heavily]
[panting]
Okay.
HOLDEN:
I believe in us.
We chose Woodstack just because
we didn't want
-to have to search
for a Needle in a Haystack
-Ow.
HOLDEN: And so we decided
that we were gonna
stick to our guns, man. Um
HAN:
We don't know how long
the Needle in the Haystack
challenge would take.
And it was It's brutal.
It was awful.
HAN:
My forearms will
double in size by tomorrow.
Seventy.
-It's not enough.
-HOLDEN: Seventy-one.
-Much more.
-HOLDEN: All right, let's move.
MELINDA:
Oh, I was hoping
it would be in this one.
ERIKA: Ew. Oh, frick!
-What?
That's a dead gecko.
-Ooh. Ooh. Okay.
-Oh, my gosh.
-MELINDA: Throw it away.
-Gross.
Just gonna toss him aside.
-Man.
-Good thing I have gloves on.
MELINDA:
We found something
even better than a bracelet.
ERIKA:
Ew. Ugh. This is gnarly.
-Good?
-HOLDEN:
Oh, here's Nick and Mike.
NICK:
We're coming for you.
-You guys done? You finished?
-No.
-How many trips you take?
-I think it's gonna
take us three.
Come on, you got it.
Going from the back
to the front.
JACK:
Burgas! Oh, my God.
-Burgas on the right.
-CARSON: At least when you're
three hours behind and you're--
you know you're
on the right road,
at least you got some light
at the end of the tunnel.
-Right.
-A little bit.
JACK:
Not too long now.
We're looking for a farm,
so, just
-keep your eyes peeled.
-There it is.
ALYSSA [singsongy]:
Snezha's Farm.
[woman singing in Bulgarian]
JOSIAH:
All gas, no brakes.
Humans have been looking
for the secret to extend life
since the beginning of time.
One of the answers
might be Bulgarian yogurt.
Here, in a land where there's a
high percentage of centenarians,
Bulgarian yogurt
is a food favorite,
eaten by Nevenka herself, 102.
She has a bowl of it every day.
Something teams must do
to complete this Roadblock.
But first, they need
to provide the key ingredient
by milking a sheep.
Once they've handed over
half a liter,
they'll get a clue.
Congratulations.
ALYSSA: I'm gonna do it.
I'm ready to fill her up.
-"Milk a sheep"! Yeah!
-That's so awesome!
-She's gonna love this.
-Let's go!
I absolutely love animals
and I love being outside,
and a farm is, like,
a dream of mine.
Hello! Hello, sheep.
[speaking Bulgarian]
You'll show me how?
They taught me how to milk her.
Okay. Okay.
Okay, here we go.
I'm just gonna go like this.
-[sheep bleats]
-Oh.
You're so cute.
It's, like, only a little bit,
but I think
I got the technique down.
-[bleating]
-Oh, baby.
Earning that farm, babe.
You're earning that farm.
Oh, I'm starting
to get a lot more now.
-[bleating]
-So, the technique is
you can feel all the milk
up here
in, like, the base of her udder.
And then you kind of just gently
fill the nipple part
and then pull down the nipple.
I'm in Bulgaria
milking a sheep on a farm
and we're in first place.
ERIKA:
I'm just digging through
a little bit quicker now.
MELINDA:
I mean, I just don't want
to miss it
in one of these hunks.
Completely agree. We don't
want to be out here forever
'cause we missed it.
This is not enjoyable.
This could be
the best decision we made
or the worst decision
we've made.
NICK:
Let's go, baby. Let's go.
MIKE:
I put too much wood.
-It's killing me.
-We're almost there.
MIKE:
We are strong,
but to have to make that trip
all the way
to the scale, carrying
200 kilos of wood--
I honestly thought,
"Okay, this is gonna be tough,"
because my asthma and the heat
just, like,
gets the best of me sometimes.
-MIKE: Hold on.
-Where's your pump? Take it.
-I did already.
-You got it, Mike.
-We're right there, bro.
-One sec.
NICK:
That's it.
MIKE:
But like Popeye
eating his spinach,
I did my two puffs. [laughs]
NICK:
Let's make up some time.
Paisano!
Eighty-six, 88.
Let's go, baby.
Ooh! 91. That's it?
No.
98.5.
-Okay.
-NICK: Okay, let's catch up!
Yeah, let's go. Thank you.
Yeah, we'll be back.
We'll be right back.
MIKE:
Just under 100 kilos.
NICK: One more load.
We should be able to do this.
-Okay.
-Ooh, okay.
-[Han groans]
-[Holden sighs]
My forearms are cramping.
I'm sorry.
Okay, mama.
I think I have a lot here, so
We kind of do this
in Philadelphia, too.
Except instead of a sheep
it's a keg,
and instead of milk it's beer.
Okay. I'll be right back. Okay.
I think this could be
half a liter.
Hello!
Hi. How are you?
A 102-year-old great-grandmother
of the farm was there.
She was the cutest lady ever.
Oh. Might be enough.
Okay.
Okay. It's good.
Yay! Okay, great.
[laughs]
Thank you so much.
Actually got it
on my first check.
I was just so thrilled
with that.
You have to eat all of this.
Oh, my gosh. Okay, great.
And then
I got to eat Bulgarian yogurt.
I'm eating Bulgarian yogurt.
She doesn't look 102.
-WOMAN: Yes, she is.
-Wow.
So delicious. I wish
I could have this at home.
-Okay, perfect.
-Thank you.
-And congratulations.
-Thank you so much.
Thank you so much.
-Bye.
-WOMAN: Bye-bye.
-Voulez-vous?!Yes!
-Yes, babe! Good job!
I had to eat a whole bunch
of yogurt and it was so good.
KEOGHAN:
The village of Elin Pelin,
named after a famous
Bulgarian author,
will serve as the Pit Stop
for this leg of the race.
The last team to check in here
will be eliminated.
ALYSSA:
That was so cool!
-ERIKA: I don't see it.
-MELINDA: Doesn't help
-that I don't see well.
-ERIKA: It's not in any of that.
Okay, let's just start
on the next one.
MELINDA:
Yeah.
-[Melinda sighs]
-Okay.
Let's hope it's in this one.
MELINDA:
This has taken
a toll on me, a little bit.
HAN:
Damn, this is tough.
[sighs]
Forearms want to die.
-Seventy-seven.
-So, 71 and 77.
That means we're at 148.
We need 52 more.
-Final push, Holden.
-Go back for more.
-One more round, Holden.
Let's do it.
-Let's go.
HAN [singsongy]:
Let's go, Han and Holden.
Melinda and Erika
are still out there looking.
You want
to fit any more in there?
-No, you're good, bro.
-All right, let's go.
-Let's move.
-All right,
this has got to be it.
Let's make it happen.
This is our last one.
Two and done, baby.
I'm sweating like crazy.
JACK:
Okay, what about this?
This is looking
like a village to me.
There it is,
and no cars are here. Rats.
-JACK: Oh, well.
-Shoot.
-Hello.
-All right.
-JACK: Let's get these apples.
-CARSON: Oh.
-JACK:
And you got to grab those.
-Oh. Okay, I got 'em.
-[bleating]
-No. The goats want 'em.
Oh, my God! No! No!
[upbeat music playing]
-What the
-Wow!
[whooping]
Whoa!
Hey!
-Whoa!
-Whoa!
Wow.
Are we good?
-Thank you.
-Thank you.
"Who's ready to fill her up?"
It's gonna be me.
-Okay, sure.
-We'll just mix it.
You know what I mean?
"Who what's to fill her up?" So,
I was like, "Oh, maybe gasoline
-or something." I don't know.
-Or a hole or whatever. Yeah.
Or a hole, yeah. That's it.
So, I was like,
"I'll do it."
Milk? Oh, my God.
My desire is to pass away
from this life
without ever having
to touch an udder.
Damn it, babe. The one thing
I didn't want to do is milk.
But I don't have a choice now.
I d-I don't have a choice.
All right, babe, you got it.
-[bleating]
-Sorry, buddy.
[whispering]: He can't
He doesn't want to do it.
It went down, but I'm not
getting anything out.
-[bleating]
-BRETT: Take your time.
And don't be afraid.
We got milk.
-We got milk. [whoops]
-Somewhat.
But we got milk.
Good boy or girl.
Whatever you are.
You're a girl to me, okay?
Yeah, babe. Slow and steady.
So, I'm gonna just check this,
and then see
how much more I need.
[Nevenka speaks Bulgarian]
Okay, let's see.
MARK:
Oh, my gosh.
Oh, no. You have to go back.
-[laughs softly]
-Okay.
I'm gonna have
to do a better job.
Oh, I just want to itch my face.
Oh.
[Erika panting]
-Gosh. Okay.
-Itch, itch, itch.
MELINDA:
I don't know. [grunts]
I know.
This is, like, my nightmare.
-MELINDA: It's okay.
-Literally my nightmare.
-We need 102 on that scale
to hit 200.
-Oh, yeah.
101.5, to be exact.
-NICK: What do we got?
-100.5.
Come on. That's insane.
NICK:
We were
one kilo away.
One more kilo! Go back!
-Oh, man.
-Let's go, Mike.
MIKE:
Which was literally just
a few more pieces of wood.
So,
that was pretty devastating.
NICK:
This is brutal.
MIKE:
But, you know,
the whole race, we've had
one motto, which is,
"Focus on what
you can control
and forget the rest."
And we still were able
to pass Han and Holden.
-We got this, bro.
-Oh, yeah.
MELINDA:
Makes me a little nervous
that we haven't seen her yet.
Han and Holden and Nick and Mike
are still there.
MELINDA:
Okay. I don't see it.
[grunts]
I'm beginning to think
we missed it.
ERIKA:
That would be
really unfortunate.
-[sighs]
-This is not fun.
Okay. Good job.
-MIKE: Good? We're good.
-Please.
-[whoops]
-Let's go, Mike. Come on.
Thank you, my friend.
-Thank you very much.
-MIKE: "Double U-Turn ahead."
Oh, my God.
-Let's go.
MELINDA:
Can't do any more than we are.
I don't know.
-I got it!
-You got it? Yes, Mom!
-Where do we go?
-Great job.
Go bring it
to the farmer right there.
Nice job, Mom, nice job.
Hi. Thank you.
-Thank you. Thank you.
-[speaking Bulgarian]
-Thank you.
"Caution. Double U-Turn ahead."
All right, we got to go.
Are Han and Holden done?
I think they're done.
Nick and Mike were
the only ones behind us.
We got to U-Turn 'em.
HOLDEN:
All right, we're good.
HAN:
Yeah, we're good. Is that 52?
Yeah, but let's just
put all of these down.
MAN:
Good job.
-HOLDEN: Good.
-Present for you.
-HOLDEN: Thank you.
-HAN: Thank you, sir.
"Caution. Double U-Turn ahead."
Okay, let's go.
Nick and Mike are still right
there. We got to rush 'em to it.
-Where's the church?
-Got to beat 'em to it, Mom.
-Looks like they got it, Mike.
-See a church anywhere?
No.
MIKE: The clue said,
"Caution. Double U-Turn ahead."
And Melinda
and Erika had just finished
the hay challenge,
so we saw them,
maybe 20 seconds ahead of us.
-We have to
do Nick and Mike, okay?
-I know that.
ERIKA:
Don't tell them that's ahead.
But at that point, we had done
a super physical challenge,
so I was just really dead tired.
ERIKA:
We got to U-Turn 'em.
MIKE: But then we quickly
realized they were really
sprinting down the path
towards the church.
And I'm like,
"Nick, we got to go right now."
-MIKE: It's a footrace.
-MELINDA: I can't run.
-You don't have to run.
-I'm sorry.
NICK:
Let's go, let's beat them
in a footrace.
They're walking
in front of us, Mike. Let's go.
MIKE:
Doing the best I can right now.
-MELINDA: My knee hurts,
and it's bad.
-Hurts?
-I don't want you
-I got to do the best I can.
-I can't have them outrun me.
-Here it is, Mike.
Let's go.
We got to move. Come on.
-There it is. I see it.
-Yup. Bell tower.
ERIKA:
It's right there.
We're almost there.
NICK:
Go, go, go.
ERIKA: Nick and Mike's the only
team we know for sure behind us.
MELINDA:
We have to.
We don't have a choice.
-You want to do it?
-We have to.
We're both really competitive.
-NICK: Mike, let's go!
-ERIKA: But when we're at home,
I'm definitely more
of the super cutthroat one.
-Nick and Mike, I'm so sorry.
-Do it.
ERIKA:
And then, she's like,
"Do it," and it's just
-Wasn't quite that drastic.
-not Eh.
It's do or die.
What are you gonna do?
We don't have a choice.
ERIKA: I know. So sorry.
They would have done
the same thing to us.
There's three behind us.
Sorry, you guys. We thought
you were the only team.
-BOTH: I'm so sorry.
-All good.
ERIKA: As soon as I looked
in the clue box and saw that
-there was additional clues,
I regretted it instantly.
-Yeah.
-Who's behind us?
-ERIKA: We don't know.
Han and Holden.
I feel so bad now.
I feel so bad.
I feel so bad, you guys.
We choose to U-Turn
Han and Holden. All right.
-Let's go.
-ERIKA: I'm so sorry, you guys.
MIKE:
Even though we saw them running
towards the church,
it was very surprising
when we got to that board
and we saw Melinda and Erika
had U-Turned us.
We got to do the other side.
I just didn't see the reason.
-I feel so bad.
-I feel so bad.
-MELINDA: We messed up.
-That's okay.
HOLDEN:
All right, here's Nick and Mike.
-Do you think
they U-Turned us?
-No.
HAN:
As we were running
to the board,
Nick and Mike were running back,
and I was like,
"They must have
gotten U-Turned."
-NICK: We both got U-Turned.
-HAN: What?
We both had
to U-Turn each other.
They U-Turned us,
we had to U-Turn.
-You U-Turned us?
-BOTH: We had to.
That sucks.
HAN:
And then they told us that
they U-Turned us, so
that really sucked.
-They U-Turned us.
-All right, we're U-Turned.
Let's go. Let's move.
NICK:
These three right in the middle,
right here?
One, two, three, right?
Let's go.
Remember, we're looking
for yellow and red.
Cannot believe they U-Turned us.
JACK:
No matter what,
we've seen some cool things.
CARSON:
True.
So, I'm
feeling a little happier,
a little perkier.
Yeah, definitely there's nothing
like a hair dance
to get you get you going.
Look at that.
You're a farmer now.
What I have learned is
that I don't have a problem
milking something.
I thought I always would.
[quietly]: That's the kind of
cool part about the race.
Damn. I'm good at this.
[singsongy]:
She's ready.
She's a little milkmaid.
Look at her.
-MARK: I am a milkmaid.
-[laughs]
Okay.
-Now I think he's good. Yes.
-Yes!
[woman chuckles]
Okay. Uh, you have to eat
all of this.
-I have to eat all of it?
-Yes.
I will. Thank you so much.
-Ah.
-[woman laughs]
MARK:
Getting to sit in that moment
and not race,
just enjoy this fresh
sheep yogurt
-On this hill,
beautiful green
-on this hill,
with this woman--
that was probably
my favorite moment of the day
and one of my favorite moments
of this race.
-And congratulations.
-Thank you very much.
You're welcome. Have good luck.
Thank you.
-"Race to the Pit Stop."
Let's go.
-Let's do this.
-"Ready to fill her up."
-Let's go. Let's go.
-Okay.
-Here we go. This is exciting.
-Let's see. "Milk a sheep
-"Milk"
-Oh, that is so cool.
-"for a farmer
who makes Bulgarian yogurt."
JONATHAN:
Aw.
Got it. Let me try.
JONATHAN:
Whatever you do,
do not tip over that pot.
[gasps]
I heard it!
I saw the wrangler
start at the top,
and then you massage
all the way down.
I'm gonna call her Maggie.
How many babies
do you have, Maggie?
Thank you
for sharing your milk with us.
You got the technique.
I hear it.
Is there any way
you can do it faster?
ANA:
No.
Man.
Can't believe
we got passed by two teams.
[Alyssa laughs]
Welcome to the mat.
Welcome to Sofia, Bulgaria.
-Thank you so much.
-Thank you so much.
Thank you. Thank you.
-ALYSSA: It's so beautiful.
-KEOGHAN: Allyssa and Josiah,
I am pleased to tell you,
after seven legs
of The Amazing Race,
you are team number one.
Yes. Yes!
KEOGHAN: And I do have
some great news for you.
As the winners
of this leg of the race,
you have OneKeyCash
from Expedia,
and you are going to
-Marrakech, Morocco.
-Oh!
-Oh, my God!
That's so cool.
KEOGHAN:
Experts at Expedia
have designed a five-night
unique experience,
with a private tour of the city,
hot air balloon ride
over the Atlas Mountains
a freshly-prepared
Berber breakfast,
and a three-day
Sahara Desert tour.
-What?
-This is so cool.
I always say,
"pride comes before the fall,"
but we deserve a little bit
of time
to feel really proud
of ourselves.
We've been chasing
that first-place spot
ever since Hong Kong.
I didn't think
the first self-driving leg
was gonna be when we got it.
We were so nervous for this.
So I'm just really proud
of us today.
NICK:
Come on.
-Come find us.
-HAN: All right, Holden.
-Let's compose.
-HOLDEN: Yup.
-Game's not over.
-I agree.
I think we have better
attention to detail than them.
MIKE:
Let's go, bro. We got this.
Let's keep playing.
NICK:
Looks like we're in this
with Han and Holden now.
Once again,
we're right on the brink.
MIKE:
You got to comb through it, bro.
-You combing?
-Yeah. Sure.
-HOLDEN: Okay, let's start.
-[Han sighs]
HAN:
I'm gonna get a rash from this.
HOLDEN:
U-Turning sucks, man.
HAN:
I'm kind of annoyed.
I understand, but annoyed.
HOLDEN:
You take that side,
I'm gonna take the back side.
HAN:
This just sucks.
Excuse me.
Excuse me.
Do you know where Belopoptsi?
Oh, that's not around here?
Wrong direction?
MELINDA: We're the wrong way?
-Okay. Thank you so much.
-Thank you so much.
CARSON:
This is probably
other teams' dream right now.
-JACK: Yes.
-Of us being lost.
-Yes. Absolutely.
-At the moment.
Although we're not lost. I would
not say we're lost anymore.
BOTH:
But we're not found.
[laughing]
-We are not found.
-No.
This thing's not here.
I say we move.
Let's go.
-Ah, man.
-NICK: This is our
second haystack.
Hopefully, we don't
got to go to three.
HAN:
Do you think
we should move faster?
HOLDEN:
We're good. Shaking it out
is our only hope.
ANA:
I definitely don't want
to come back and do this again.
So I'm gonna see if I can just
get enough for a little extra.
Okay. Let me try.
Grandma?
Hi.
Oh.
-Perfect.
-Oh! All right!
Yes!
Did she get it?
Cheers, Grandma.
-Yes!
-Perfect. And congratulations.
Thank you so much.
Thank you, Grandma.
[laughs] All right.
Babe, we did it.
-NICK: Where are you, bracelet?
-MIKE: This is awful.
NICK:
The last pile,
so hopefully we can find it.
Come on.
[sighs]
HAN:
This is brutal.
Looks like Han and Holden
are still on their first one.
-We're gonna find this bracelet.
-Yeah, we are.
Be one with the hay.
HOLDEN:
Yeah, so far,
they haven't found it yet,
we haven't found it yet.
NICK:
Feel pretty exhausted right now.
I'm in Terminator mode.
MIKE:
Just keep fighting.
HAN:
With this Detour,
it was really a practice of
patience.
-Don't do that!
-Why? It comes out.
No, it doesn't, bro.
Why do you do that?
Just be patient.
HAN:
And I think that, like,
our attention to detail
is better than Nick and Mike's.
Just shake it out like this.
It comes right right apart.
[Nick groans]
They went through
three haystacks
so fast.
We are down
to our last haystack,
so hopefully, we find it
in this bottom pile.
HAN:
Oh, it isn't here.
-I think we should do
the next pile.
-Yeah.
-Okay, come on, Holden.
-Worst Detour ever.
HAN:
Pretty sure
we're fighting for last place.
At this point, yeah.
HAN:
Maybe teams got lost.
CARSON:
Okay, to the library.
We got to find it in here?
It would have to be a big book
to fit a clue, don't you think?
CARSON:
Maybe, yeah.
Well, well, well.
-Oh, here. Right here.
All right.
-What?!
Needle in a Haystack knowing
we're last is probably
I know, but it-it
What if we get it immediately?
-Sure. Sure.
-We could make up a lot of time.
CARSON:
We got to find it.
-It's unfortunate, but
-Keep fighting.
We've seen teams survive
a U-Turn before.
MIKE:
It's not here.
We had to have missed it.
Oh, man.
We took down all three haystacks
and didn't find the bracelet.
And that's when we realized,
"Okay,
"there's a high probability
"that we pulled the hay
off the stack,
"put it to the ground,
and it was stuck
somewhere in the middle
of that piece of hay."
Come on.
NICK: It was
a pretty devastating moment
because that meant
we were now gonna have
to go through all the hay
from scratch again.
[grunts]
-I know, bro.
-[sighs]
[singsongy]:
Where are you?
Don't give up.
-Oh, I found it.
-MIKE: They got it, Nick.
God, this sucks.
We're the last team again?
-[man speaks Bulgarian]
-HOLDEN: Thank you,
-thank you, thank you.
-Thank you, thank you,
thank you.
-We already know what it says.
-We know it.
-We know where we need to go.
-Good job, Holden.
-Never back down, never what?
-Never quit!
-[groans]
-Just gonna keep fighting.
I don't know what else to do.
NICK:
Let's flatten
this whole section out.
MIKE:
This is insane.
-BRETT: Just gorgeous.
-[whoops]
Welcome to Sofia, Bulgaria.
-Thank you.
-Thank you so much. Thank you.
I'm pleased to tell you
that you're team number two.
Yes.
"Snezha's Farm
to find your next clue."
HOLDEN: Come on, let's go.
We're not done yet!
MIKE:
This is crazy.
NICK:
Yeah. Got to just
keep moving, though.
Bro, that's not checking.
That's why
we probably missed it.
You got to sift through it.
Oh, boy.
-JONATHAN: Yeah, baby. Ah.
-ANA: Ah!
-Oh, my God.
-[whoops]
welcome to Sofia, Bulgaria.
-Thank you.
Thank you for having us.
-Thank you.
You are once again
on the podium.
You are team number three.
Congratulations.
-Yes!
-We'll take it.
I know when you first came
into the race,
particularly when things
didn't go your way,
you were extremely hard
on yourself
-and-and your-your team.
-Yeah. Yeah.
What's the most important thing
you feel like
you've learned on this race?
JONATHAN:
If I could learn to become
more resilient and to,
uh, stay confident, uh, through
adversity and through the lows,
I think we could maybe
have a good shot at winning.
ERIKA:
We went in the wrong direction,
which We at least
kept asking, but we knew.
Maybe this will lead
to our demise, and we shouldn't
have done the U-Turn
and this is our karma.
Holden's gonna do it.
Oh, my. Geez.
I have never
milked a sheep before.
It was not as easy as it looked,
because, like, I didn't know
where, like, the squirt hole
was coming from.
[groaning]
His hands are all milked.
I literally sprayed my glasses.
My shirt is stained
with sheep milk.
Because, like, yeah,
I couldn't control it.
We've got about half a liter
definitely, but
[sighs]:
Oh.
-[bleating]
-You're doing amazing, Holden!
Oh, my God.
Exhausted. I'm not really sure
what else to do.
This is just turning
into an impossible task.
-[sighs]
-NICK: Keep searching.
MIKE:
It's getting hotter and hotter
-and hotter.
-Come on, Mike. Don't give up.
We're probably, like,
three hours behind.
-This is gonna be tough.
-[laughs softly]
Maybe Needle in a Haystack
took other teams hours.
NICK:
Don't give up.
This race is unpredictable,
and anything is possible.
Okay, this looks
like marked parking.
-JACK: Oh, my God. Do you think?
-CARSON: No way.
MIKE:
I don't know how much longer
I can do it, bro.
Been at this for hours.
At what point do
we take a penalty?
-JACK: Do you think so?
-I just like holding out hope.
-Maybe it is.
-Yeah, maybe.
MIKE:
Would you consider it or no?
Go out on our terms?
-MIKE: We're gonna keep going?
-NICK: What else is there to do?
It's really hot, bro.
I'm about to, like, pass out.
We've been at this for hours.
It's not even
about giving up at this point.
It's about just, like,
what are we gonna do?
There's another team.
-Oh, look.
-What?
-There are people here.
-JACK: I can't believe it.
-Right there.
-JACK: It's Nick and Mike.
-MIKE: They just got here?
-Yeah.
-I can't believe it, Jack.
-What?
-NICK: Let's go.
Doesn't even make sense. I guess
they must have gotten lost.
CARSON: We're still in it, Jack.
A million dollars.
Let's do it. [whoops]
-[Jack laughs]
-There are people here, Jack.
Whoa. Okay, Car.
Nick and Mike were in a field
-Let's do it.
-sifting through a bunch of hay.
Looks like they're coming
to the haystacks.
Come on, Mike.
Let's get it.
-Hope is still alive.
-JACK: We
-were floored.
-Ah!♪
JACK:
When I tell you,
I was completely stunned.
It made no sense.
It actually made no sense.
-Yeah.
-They were
-three hours ahead of us.
-CARSON: Hey, dudes.
-What's up, guys?
-What's up, guys?
CARSON:
How are you?
-JACK: There's always hope.
-CARSON: Yup. Just a little bit
-of luck.
-Just a little bit of luck.
JACK:
Initially, my instinct was
that we should try for Haystack
because it could take forever,
but it could take 30 seconds.
CARSON:
Their haystacks are gone.
JACK:
Do you want to try
and do the different one?
-They're tired from doing this.
-[Jack sighs]
-Do you want to switch?
I mean
-What do you think?
JACK:
But then we realized,
Nick and Mike were
living a life I did not
-want to live.
-MIKE: Oh, my God.
-NICK: Don't give up, Mike.
-CARSON: I think we do it.
-JACK: Let's do it.
-CARSON: I think we do it.
-Yeah. Okay, let's go quick.
CARSON:
We're gonna switch.
We saw our futures
in Nick and Mike.
Looks like they're switching.
Smart move on their part.
CARSON:
And we realized we could
go to the other Detour
and make progress.
It seems like
they are completely lost.
Let's go, Jack.
And know that
slowly and surely,
we're heading
towards a finish line.
NICK:
I wish we could just do
another 200 pounds.
MIKE:
I would do another 800 pounds.
-CARSON: Go forward, Jack.
-You think?
CARSON:
Yeah. Come on!
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
Oh, gosh.
Okay.
Come on, Jack.
[sighs, groans]
CARSON:
You got this, Jack.
Where is your
102-year-old mother?
Now we will see. [laughs]
Okay. That's perfect.
Now you have
to eat all of this.
All of it?
-Yes.
-Okay, thank you.
Can I wash my hands first?
Oh. Uh one moment.
I have, like, poop.
This is so awesome.
That's enough. Thank you.
-And congratulations.
-Yeah. Thank you.
Han, let's go.
-Yes! Slay.
-All right.
You got milk on your
I don't want
to know what that is.
-You want to do it?
-Guess it's me.
-Do you want to? Okay.
-We don't have a choice.
Okay.
Oh, I'm sorry.
I'm getting milk, Erika!
Nice job, Mom!
You got it. Nice job.
-Keep it up, keep it up.
-Oh, where you going, girl?
Where are you going,
honey bunny?
I need you. I need you.
You can't go anywhere.
MELINDA:
Baa.
I don't know how much
a half a liter is.
It was so painful
U-Turning Nick and Mike.
We feel horrible and we really
like Nick and Mike.
Let's hope they survive it.
CARSON:
You got this, you got this.
Push through, push through.
You got this. You're amazing.
-You're amazing. Come on.
-Where is it?
-It's down here.
Come on. We got it.
-Oh.
I don't know if I can do this.
Jack, I'm carrying this
the whole time.
My back is killing me.
CARSON:
It was so, so taxing,
physically,
trying to get this wood
down the street.
We're the heroes.
Sam and Frodo.
You got this.
-Come on, Jack. You got this.
-[groans]
You got this!
I kept thinking back
to me 45 minutes ago,
so defeated,
and what that Carson would give
to have some
sliver of a chance
to stay in this game.
-JACK: So, 65.5.
-Go for more.
CARSON:
65.5.
Let's do it in two more.
It's gonna be the hardest
we've ever worked,
and we're gonna win
a million dollars, Jack.
They're still here.
Great news.
MIKE:
Oh, man. My legs feel like
they're gonna collapse.
I'm literally
gonna pass out, bro.
-NICK: We're still alive, bro.
-I'm gonna pass out.
-MIKE: I'm gonna pass out.
-They're doing another trip.
Looks like
they finished their first trip.
Probably got another two
in them.
-We got this.
We can do anything.
-Yeah, we can do it.
Oh, boy.
This sucks, man.
Come on.
This really sucks.
ERIKA:
Great job, great job.
-Slow and steady.
-I think I
-You got it, Mom.
-I hope so.
You did.
MELINDA:
Yes, I got enough.
I can see that.
ERIKA:
Nice job. Nice job, Mom.
Yay! I did it, Erika!
Okay.
Now you have to eat all of this.
-All of it?
-Yes. [laughs]
-What is it? Like, yogurt?
-Yes.
-This is Bulgarian yogurt
-Mm.
from these sheeps here.
-Oh, wow.
-Yes.
She's 102 years old.
-MELINDA: 102?
-Yes.
-MELINDA: Wow.
-She eat this milk every day.
-MELINDA: I can see why.
-[laughing]: Yes.
And, uh, congratulations
and to your luck.
Thank you. Thank you.
You look beautiful.
You're beautiful for 102.
Thank you.
All right, Erika!
"The last team to check in
will be eliminated."
Okay, let's look on the map
this time.
All right, we're gonna look
on the map this time.
Come on in.
-You are team number four.
-[laughing]: Oh!
-I don't want to leave any.
-Sorry. I know.
[groans]
The Woodstack was
such a struggle.
-You got this, Jack.
-[groans]
You got this, Jack.
You're amazing.
-[groans]
-You're amazing. Come on.
Come on. Push through.
JACK:
On the wheelbarrow,
your arms were hurting,
your back was hurting.
-Ooh.
-And then,
on the backpack, it was like,
I felt like
the Hunchback of Notre Dame.
CARSON:
Okay. What are we at?
JACK:
Eighty-five plus 65.
So, 150.
We can do it one more.
NICK:
Where are you?
-Where are you?
-MIKE: Oh, my God.
-NICK: Come on, where are you?
-I'm starting to lose my mind.
NICK:
At this point
I'm getting delusional.
MIKE:
Oh, man.
-NICK: Where are you?
-This is insane.
Remember that time
we searched through hay
for about seven hours?
[laughs, sighs]
-You have to laugh, bro.
-NICK: Maybe it flew away.
MIKE:
If you don't laugh, you'll cry.
NICK;
Wish I had some X-ray vision
right now.
MIKE:
Would love to know
where this thing really is.
I don't think
this thing is here.
I really don't.
If you think
you have what it takes
to win The Amazing Race,
then to go to cbs.com/casting
and apply now.
The world is waiting for you.
-MIKE: Bro, look at this field.
-NICK: At this point, I don't
-even know
where the three piles are.
-Aw, man.
NICK:
Can you believe we still
haven't found this thing?
MIKE:
I don't understand
how it's possible.
No idea where this thing
could be at this point.
Will you help me out
with this off of me?
Of course.
-Oh. Okay. Got it.
-Okay.
CARSON:
How much do we need?
-Let's keep an eye
on the scale.
-We need, like
-I think we only need
We're good.
-Thank you so much.
-Thank you.
Oh, my God. I'm so proud of us.
-Please.
-Thank you. Thank you so much.
-You ready?
-Let's go.
CARSON:
"Double U-Turn ahead."
-Jack.
-That's why they had to do it.
-Oh, really? They think it's us?
-I bet.
-Yeah. Okay.
-Oh, Double U-Turn.
-JACK: Well, that sucks.
-Yeah.
-Thank you. Thank you, sir.
-Thank you.
CARSON:
Unless
I don't know. Unless a miracle.
JACK:
Keep on dreaming.
ERIKA:
Good job, good job.
You're almost there.
Hit the mat. Hit the mat.
Nice job, Mom.
-It was a rough day.
-MELINDA: It was so hard
-doing the U-Turn. We thought
-ERIKA: oh.
We-we thought there was nobody
behind us but the one team.
-Yeah.
-So we U-Turned 'em.
Had you not done that, I doubt
you would be standing here
in fifth place.
So, congratulations.
-Fifth place.
-Nice job, Mom.
NICK:
They just finished the wood.
CARSON:
Nick and Mike are still there.
We, uh felt like we did
a lot of things right today.
-That's the church way up there.
-NICK: We got beat
by a needle in a haystack.
MIKE:
Looks like we're gonna be here
till Phil gets here.
NICK:
We gave it our all, bro.
MIKE:
Know why this happened?
MIKE:
Yeah.
JACK:
Okay, let's see.
CARSON:
Two people U-Turn.
-It's looking like us, Jack.
-Yeah.
-It's looking like us.
-It's got to be.
Got to be. Let's finish strong.
-No! No!
-No, it's not us?
-CARSON: Oh, my God.
-What?!
It's not us. Han and Holden.
Oh, my God. Oh, my God.
-Oh, my God.
-Oh, my God.
I'm not a religious man.
-What?
-Oh, my God.
JACK:
But to not be U-Turned
felt like a gift from God.
"Go to Snezha's Farm
to find your next clue."
-Let's go. Let's go.
-JACK: Oh, my God.
JACK:
Bulgaria tried to kill me.
I think moving forward,
we really need
to just sort of remember,
and to be like, "No, like,
"let's run, let's get there.
Let's see for sure."
Because you never,
ever, ever, ever know.
What a turn of events.
And I think
I need someone like Jack
who, all day,
when I was feeling
down on myself in the car was
making me feel
everything was gonna be okay.
-He was laughing
much more than I was.
-[whooping]
Car, that sheep loves you.
-CARSON: Yeah.
-[bleating]
-For you. Congratulations.
-Thank you so much.
Thank you so much.
So today was a huge lesson
in, like,
keep that flame lit.
-[whooping]
-[laughing]
NICK:
Oh, boy.
MIKE:
The Philiminator.
NICK:
What's up, Phil?
Nick and Mike.
How many hours
have you been out here, guys?
-I think six.
-About six hours.
Yeah. I mean, all the other
teams have checked into the mat,
and that's why
I've come out here.
Just wanted to put you out
of your misery.
Sorry to tell you that you have
been eliminated from the race.
A city kid's not meant
for the farm, Phil.
[laughs]
You still got a sense of humor.
You have to, man.
KEOGHAN:
Look, you guys waited
seven long years
to run seven legs
of The Amazing Race.
What are the things
you're most gonna remember?
I jumped out of a plane
in Dubai.
-That was pretty awesome.
-Rode a camel.
We rode some camels.
-Uh
-ATV'd through a cave
in the middle of the forest
in Bali.
And here you are at the end
out in a hayfield
in Bulgaria.
What a way to end this.
NICK:
Wasn't how we wanted
to end it, but
just overwhelmed with gratitude,
to be honest with you.
KEOGHAN:
Proud of you guys.
Proud of you
for sticking it out.
I think that our family's
gonna be really proud of us.
And we have become better men
because of The Amazing Race.
I can say that wholeheartedly.
NICK:
And I think they're gonna
be proud of the love that
we showed for each other,
because we have a really strong
brotherly bond.
Yes, we do.
Love you, bro.
NICK:
Gave it our best shot, bro.
CBS
and TOYOTA.

KEOGHAN: Next time on
The Amazing Race
The race continues
in Bulgaria
where the competition
gets fierce.
JACK: This is coming down
to the nitty-gritty here.
You can't be helping
any other teams.
And another chance
to win the Express Pass
is fiery.
